You are Brother Antarius, sternguard veteran of the Lamenters space marine chapter. Due to your chapter's involvement in the Badab War, your chapter was sentenced to a hundred years of penitent crusade. Having barely survived the crusade, your chapter's fleet gathered to return to the Imperium and rebuild. Unfortunately, your ship suffered a major malfunction during the warp jump and was seperated from the fleet, landing centuries into the future. Only you and eight other marines survived, and there has been no sign of the rest of your chapter's fleet. With the fleet missing, it is now up to you and your surviving brothers to rebuild the chapter until the fleet can be located.

After speaking with Lysander and Mathias, the survivors of the mutant attack, you managed to recruit them both as a serf and Aspirant respectively. However, shortly after you received an unwanted visit from the Minotaurs, the chapter which devastated yours during the Badab War. They claimed they were here to resupply, and requested permission to inspect your fortress monastery. You denied them access, though in truth you would not have been able to do much to stop them had the Mantis Warriors chapter not come to a timely rescue. It turns out the Mantis Warriors had heard of your return from the Salamanders, and their chapter master, Audamus, came in person hoping to settle a long standing debt with the Lamenters chapter master, Malakim Phoros. When he learned Phoros was missing, he instead decided to settle his debt through your chapter, gifting you with the Strike Cruiser “Sword of Contrition”, along with all the equipment and serfs aboard the massive ship. You accepted, reforging the bonds of friendship which tied your chapters together centuries ago.

Months have passed since the Mantis Warriors visit, and recruitment is already underway. The boy from the mutant attack, Mathias, has already been tested and found worthy of becoming a Neophyte. Traditionally, your chapter has tested Aspirants by arming them with basic weapons and armor, and pitting them against one of your brothers, unarmed and unarmored. The challenge is not meant to be won, indeed it is nigh impossible for a mere human child to defeat a trained space marine, even without his weapons and armor. Instead, the purpose of the challenge is to measure the Aspirant's character, see how he conducts himself in battle and how he fairs in the face of an impossible challenge. Mathias was armed with his own primitive weapons and armor, and pitted against the youngest of your surviving brothers, Tacitus. The boy was bloodied and faced with an unflinching opponent, yet he did not submit. After much consideration, with his previous run in with the mutant bandits in mind, you decided Mathias was worthy of becoming a Neophyte, and so he proceeded to the first stage of surgery, chemical therapy, and physical training which would eventually change him from a mere Initiate into a proud space marine.
>>
>>42244999
Mathias, while the first new Neophyte in your chapter since you set out on a penitent crusade centuries ago, is not the only Neophyte currently in training. With the help of the boy's old master, word has spread across the world that a new chapter of Astartes (Or “Sky Knights”, as these people seem to call you) has settled in the mountains, waiting for worthy recruits to make their way to their fortress monastery. Since then, many people have come to your fortress on pilgrimage, braving the dangers of the mountains to prove themselves worthy of this honor. Many have tried, but only a few have been found worthy. In total, 75 people have made their way to your chapter's fortress. Of that 75, only 20 have been accepted as serfs, and 15 have proven themselves worthy of becoming Neophytes. Of that 15, only 10 survived the resulting surgery, the remaining 5 simply being incompatible with the chapter's gene seed. Saddening as their deaths were, the percentage of those who survived is still within acceptable parameters.

In addition to recruitment, the first shipment of supplies from Mars finally arrived as well. You were given a fair amount of weapons and armor, as well as a modest sum of armored vehicles. Unfortunately, the only things you've received in terms of ships were escorts, as apparently it will take some time to produce the larger ships which your chapter requires. It is fortunate you accepted the Mantis Warriors gift, else you would not have any ships capable of carrying your chapter off planet should the need arise.

Currently, you are just finishing up a long list of paperwork required from your chapter by the Administratum. This is work normally required of a chapter master, but seeing as Lord Phoros is not available, and the rest of your brothers are either busy with other duties or ill equipped for such work, you have been taking care of your chapter's administrative work. Setting down the datapad which you were working on, you stretch out your arms and rise to your feet. You chapter's schedule has been semi irregular due to the small amount of marines in your chapter, so there is no specific place you are required to go right now. However, they say that idle hands do the work of the ruinous powers, you should find something to occupy yourself with now that your chapter's paperwork is complete.

>Also we should prolly begin subtly campaigning for chapter master...
Dunno if that's necessary. We're seen as the de facto leader at this point, and I don't see that changing any time soon. Just leading with a fair and just hand should be enough, imo. Not like we're competing with anyone.
>>
Hopefully we'll have a map of our surroundings and where some of the closest town/village/campment are.
>>
>>42245057
You decide it would be a good idea to head outside, check to see how the initiates are doing.

In the fields outside of the fortress monastery, a small practice range has been made for shooting drills. Currently, the initiates are out here practicing with their Bolters under the tutelage of Akriel.

"You're spreading your shots too wide, initiate." Akriel chastises one of the neophytes. "Your muscles should be able to accommodate the Bolter's recoil by now, you have no excuse anymore."

The initiate in question grimaces at his instructor's chastisment, and levels his Bolter again. He fires three shots in rapid succession, two on target and the last a grazing miss.

"Dammit initiate, you're wasting ammunition with each miss." Akriel says sternly. "We'll stay out here all day if that's what it takes for you to get it right, and that goes for the rest of you as well."

You approach Akriel, and take a closer look at the range. It seems almost all the neophytes have been struggling to hit their targets.

"How goes the training, brother?" You ask, out of courtesy.

"Slowly. The Initiates are decent enough in the melee drills, but it seems most of them are still struggling with their aim."

You're not surprised, to be honest. Most of the initiates never even held a gun before beginning their training. There were one or two who were familiar with guns, although they were used to the simple black powder riffles that can be found amongst the native population, not the sophisticated weaponry of your chapter's armory.

"If I may make a request, Brother Antarius, I believe the initiates would do well to learn from one of our chapter's veterans. Would you mind assisting me with their training?"

>Yes, play the drill sergeant

No offense, but I see a lot of you guys firing from the hip and spraying bullets all over the range. You don't end up hitting a damn thing and it makes you look like an ass. Brother Arkiel show 'em what I'm talking about. Grab the weapon off the table and fire at the targets behind you.
>>See what I mean? He sprayed bullets all over the damn place. You've got to pick your targets by aiming deliberately down your sights from a stable stance. Battle Brother, show our friends here how the SPESS MAHRINES take down a target. Crouch first, then aim down your sight at the targets.

You nod. "Of course brother."

Akriel thanks you, and turns back to the training initiates. "Everyone, cease fire. Brother Antarius has come down to assist me in teaching you all the proper method of aiming and firing a Boltgun. Listen carefully to his instructions, he is one of our chapter's revered veterans and has centuries of experience under his belt, you would do well to pay attention."

You step forward, drawing your own Bolter and approaching the firing line. "Initiates, play close attention to what I do and say. I have noticed many of you tend to jerk the trigger of your guns. This is unnecessary, and will more often than not result in erratic fire. Squeeze the trigger, do not jerk it. Many of you have also been struggling to deal with your Bolter's recoil. One particular trick I know to deal with this is to line the rear sight so that it is approximately four millimeter above the front sight. This is a simple trick that will help you compensate for the recoil, but as your muscles continue to develop you will find in time that you do not need this trick anymore. For now however, it will suffice to keep you on-target."
>>
>>42246366
You turn away from the initiates and face down towards the firing line, bringing your Bolter to bear and motioning for the initiates to come closer and watch.

"See how I place my feet? This is also meant to compensate for the recoil of the gun. Now watch me carefully, as I line up the sights of my Bolter towards my intended target."

You look down the sight of your Bolter at the targets down range. There are three targets placed at short, medium, and long range, with the target at short range being the largest and the one at long range being the smallest. Beyond the range, you see that there is some native beast stalking around in the distance. You doubt the initiates even know it's there, but your genetically improved sight and helmet's augmented vision allow you to see it. It is a large beast, but a very far distance away. If you wanted to, you are fairly confident you could still hit it from here.

It's still enough to pass, anon. You guys have a pretty high rank in Perception so the DC to hit an immobile target is pretty low. Wouldn't have hit the beast with that roll, but the far target isn't too hard to hit for a veteran marine.

Speaking of ranks and DCs, I'm adding another stat to the sheet because I realized it'll probably be needed for later rolls. Agility, currently at C rank. Adding it to the sheet now.

You mean a bulky space marine can get a higher rank so he could twist and weave like an Eldar?
>>
>>42246387
There's no need to show off, this is just a demonstration for the neophytes after all. Ignoring the beast, you level your Bolter and open fire at the far target. Your shots are tightly grouped right at the target's "heart". Nothing fancy, but good enough for a routine demonstration.

"Did everyone see how I squeezed the trigger rather than jerking it? Now, another thing you'll want to note is-"

You are interrupted by an incoming vox transmission. You lower your Bolter, and listen to the transmission.

"Incoming transmission from Planetary Governor Cromwell, brother. He requests an audience."

"Understood. Is the teleportorium functional yet?"

"Yes brother, it should be fully functional now."

"Tell the governor we will meet him at Teleportorium One momentarily."

"Do you think something is wrong?" Akriel asks you once the transmission ends.

"I do not know, we shall see when Cromwell arrives."

"Shall I continue training the initiates, or do you believe they should be there as well?"

Maybe not like an Eldar, but space marines are noted for having lightning reflexes. Big doesn't always mean slow and uncoordinated.

And yes, your ability ranks can be increased, though it will take more than just a couple days training to increase them more than they already are. Usually it will take something drastic, like high-quality bionics or something else along those lines to increase them. I will be giving you guys the option to increase your stats after a certain amount of level ups though, maybe once every five or so.

"Continue their training. They are still inexperienced, whatever it is the governor needs we will handle it ourselves."

"Very well then, I will continue their training in the meantime then. If you require my assistance, simply contact me via vox."

With that, you part ways and head back into the fortress, leaving Akriel to continue training the initiates. Teleportarium One is a large teleporter situated near the center of the fortress, where guests are usually received. By the time you arrive, the governor is already there waiting, along with the rest of your brothers.

"You requested an audience with us, governor?" You inquire upon entering the room.

"I did. Wait, weren't there nine of you?" He asks, noting Akriel's absence.

"Brother Akriel is currently occupied with the initiates. I will call him if he is needed."

The governor shrugs. "Alright, well in that case I'll get right to the point. About an hour ago, our sensors detected a massive unidentified voidcraft enter the system through warp travel. I sent ships to identify it, and they just came back about ten minutes ago. It's a Space Hulk."

Space Hulks, large collections of ruined ships clumped together in one massive clump of debris and wreckage, drifting aimlessly through space and occasionally jumping through the warp at random intervals. These giant collections of destroyed ships often house large quantities of recoverable technology, making them invaluable sources of salvage in the Imperium. However, many factions sometimes use them as mobile fortresses. Orks, tyranids, and heretics are the most common suspects, but it is not unknown for other factions to make use of them as well. This makes Space Hulks just as dangerous as they are valuable, and as such all sighting of them are to be reported to the Imperium immediately, so that recovery teams can be sent to recover their lost technology or, if need be, ships can be sent to bombard the hulk and destroy it.
>>
>>42247675
"Have you reported this to the Imperium yet?" You ask.

"Of course, I did so before even coming down here. High command wants me to handle the search, but you know as well as I do that those things can be death traps. I came down here to ask if you could assist my troops in surveying the hulk."

Indeed, it is quite common for squads of space marines to be sent to search through a Space Hulk, but that is typically the work of Terminator Squads. Currently, your chapter only has two marines capable of operating terminator armor, yourself and Avitus, but no suits of terminator armor. It is highly unlikely you'll be receiving any anytime soon either, at least until your chapter is back to strength and has proven it's competence.

"There are only nine of us, governor. I do not think we can search an entire Space Hulk by ourselves."

"I'm not asking you to do it by yourselves, I'm asking for some of your marines to accompany my men in there just in case. It'd be in your interest to help anyways, most of what we recover in the hulk will end up going to your chapter."

You consider the situation. It is dangerous, but by assisting the governor you may improve your chapter's relations with him, not to mention all the useful technology you will surely find aboard the Space Hulk. Still, it is dangerous, and your numbers are low as it is. By not assisting the governor, you may lose claim on the more valuable technology as well.

Although we should make it clear that if we encounter entrenched resistance on this thing we are not equipped to assault it. The loss of even a single marine would be a devestating blow to the Chapter in it's current state, and Space Hulks have been known to swallow full strength Chapters whole, as our progenitor chapter can attest to.
>>

>>
>>42247700
"Very well. Our chapter will assist you, but I must emphasize that we are not equipped to deal with heavily entrenched forces should we find any inside."

"Believe me, if there's anything moving inside that hulk I'm pulling everyone out and calling the nearest fleet to come bombard that thing to smithereens. Last thing this planet needs is an ork invasion or, Emperor preserve us, a tyranid swarm."

"Then we seem to be on the same page. Tell me, what do you know about this Space Hulk? Does it have a name, any records in Imperial history?"

The governor shakes his head. "No, seems to be a relatively new hulk, which makes me more nervous than if it had a history. At least then we'd know what to expect."

So you'll be going in blind then. Space Hulks are always a high-risk-high-reward gamble, but with only nine marines and ten neophytes in your chapter, even one lost marine will be devastating. However, the hidden tech within the Space Hulk will be invaluable to your chapter, especially if the hulk is fresh and has not yet been picked clean by other scavengers.

"We head out for the Hulk in about thirty minutes. Meet us on the moon station when you're ready."

Before you leave, you will have to decide who you're bringing and what equipment to bring with you. In addition to your brothers, you now have many chapter serfs who are capable of battle as well should you choose to bring them. With the supplies from mars, your armory is well-stocked to equip whoever you bring with you as well.
>>

Who do you bring with you?
>Uriel - Calix Priest (Sanguinary Priest) - A healer and capable melee combatant. Will be able to treat wounds, but is the only one here capable of conducting the surgery to create new marines. Should he die, his loss will be devastating to the chapter, but by being there he may be able to save lives with his medical know-how.
>Magron - Techmarine - A capable ranged combatant with decent melee capabilities. Magron is an expert in tech and will be able to assist with whatever machinery you come across. While his death would be a major set back for the chapter, there are many serfs here versed in the maintenance of tech that could continue his duties until a new techmarine can be trained.
>Sepheran - Chaplain - A talented melee combatant, Sepheran is protected by a minor forcefield from his Rosarius and is capable of bringing those suffering from the Black Rage under control. His death would be a major blow to morale, but would not place the chapter in critical condition.
>Astramael - Librarian - A powerful psyker, Astramael will be invaluable in battle should the need arise. However, psykers are not without risk, and there is a chance bad thing may happen if he has to push his powers too far.
>Avitus - Vanguard veteran - Highly capable melee combatant with above average ranged capabilities. Like you, he has centuries of service under his belt.
>Akriel - Tactical marine - All-rounder with significant experience under his belt. A natural born leader with a good head for tactics.
>Tacitus - Devastator marine - Talented with heavy weapons but mediocre in melee combat. The youngest of your chapter's surviving marines.

“Elyas, Magron, Astramael, Tacitus, and Akriel shall come with me to survey the Space Hulk. While we are gone, Avitus is the acting senior officer.”

You hear Avitus groan at the last comment. While Avitus is a skilled warrior, to be sure, he never was fond of being placed in leadership positions. However, he is the second oldest marine here, so he is the most fit for the position should something happen to you.

“Gather some of the serfs and meet us in the armory. We'll bring a portion of them with us as well.”

And so, you and your brothers split into two groups; those going to the Space Hulk, and those staying at the fortress. Your group heads down to the armory and is joined by the serfs shortly after, amongst whom is Private Callen from Fumarius IV.

With everyone here, you begin selecting your loadout. You order everyone to bring flame-based weapons with them, just in case you encounter orks or tyranids inside the Space Hulk. Magron takes a Flamer, while you and Akriel both grab combi-flamers. Elyas takes a hand-flamer and power sword, while Astramael grabs a hand-flamer to go with his force staff. Tacitus, being a devastator marine, brings a heavy flamer. You also grab two meltaguns, one for you and one for Akriel, just encase you encounter heavily armored foes. The serfs are all armed with flamers, and each carries a laspistol as a sidearm just in case.

Callen whistles as he inspects his flamer. “Lot better than what they gave us in the PDF, that's for sure.”

“You are a part of our chapter now. Even as serfs, you will be armed with superior equipment when you are needed in battle.”

“Probably going to need it. My parents used to tell me stories about a Space Hulk that once drifted close to Fumarius. None of those stories ended well.”

“Do not think like that. We are going to survey the hulk, nothing more. Now, let us be off. The governor will be expecting us soon.”

------------
The ships approach the massive Space Hulk, drifting silently through the void of space. This one appears to be the size of an average sized moon, fairly small for a Space Hulk but still massive regardless.

“Boarders, load into the shuttles and prepare to leave.”

Everyone begins piling into the ship's shuttles, which then depart the ship and start their journey into the hulk. The ride is silent and somber, just like the massive graveyard of ships you're flying towards. Eventually, a hangar bay is found in one of the ships that forms the hulk, and the shuttles begin loading in.

“Everyone stay alert in there.” You warn your brothers. “We don't know what might be lurking within the hulk or how many there may be. It may be empty, or it may be infested with genestealers. If you see any activity, alert the rest of the group immediately. This is a reconnaissance, not an assault. We have neither the numbers nor the equipment to deal with large threats right now, so it's imperative that we evacuate immediately should we find any large activity.”

There is a collective “Yes sir” as everyone acknowledges your orders, and begins climbing out of the shuttle. The rest of the shuttles begin unloading as well, and everyone gathers around you and your brothers awaiting orders. Currently, there are five marines counting yourself, 50 Mantis Warrior serfs, 10 PDF troops from Fumarius IV counting Callen, and 200 guardsman here on orders of the planetary governor. Total, you have 265 troops with you.

There are two doors ahead, one to the left and one to the right. You do not know where either leads.

Have the PDF and some of the guardsman (100 total) troops secure the bay and stay behind in case we need to make a hasty retreat.

Either send the guardsmen through one door and have the mantis and marines through one or just all go through one.

But really do secure the landing site.

"Secure the hangar. I want to make sure our escape route stays open if something happens and we need to leave."

Upon your command, the guardsmen begin securing the area. They take positions behind cover and search the immediate area for danger. While they do that, you turn to Magron and point to what you believe is a terminal on the far side of the hangar.

"See if you can you can access that terminal's data logs. I want to gather whatever intelligence we can before proceeding further if possible."

"I shall see what I can do."

------
A while later, the hangar is secure and Magron motions you over to the terminal. It seems he was able to get it operational.

"What can you find in it's data logs?" You ask.

"Not much. Most of the data is corrupted, but there is one file that's only partially corrupted. Here, take a look."

Magron moves aside and allows you to look at the terminal. A data log is displayed but most of the words appear garbled and corrupt.

[Maintenance report: -----.M42. Major damaged sustained in battle. -----thunderhawks, and ----- remain. Recommend -----unti------operational.]

"This doesn't tell me much of anything, Magron. Most of this is garbled nonsense."

"No, but it does mention thunderhawks. From that, we can at least assume that this once was a space marine vessel."

"Then what happened to it?"

"That's the million throne question now, isn't it brother?"

You sigh. Something here smells funny. If this used to be a space marine vessel, then what happened to it? There must be-

There's a sudden noise coming from the left room, the sound of something metallic being kicked or knocked down. It's a small sound, but it grabs everyone's attention. Guns are drawn, and all eyes are focused on the dark room the noise originated from.

"Brothers, to me." You command, advancing under cover towards the door. They follow after you, weapons drawn and at the ready.

You peer into the room, the visor of your helmet allowing you to see through the darkness. Neither you nor your auspex see anything yet, so you advance further in, staying in formation with your brothers.

Various tools can be found stored away in this room, the sort one would use to repair vehicles. Your attention, however, is drawn to a combi-tool lying on the ground. It looks like it may have been the source of the noise. More concerning, however, is the fact it seems to be stained with blood. Fresh blood.

"I don't like this brothers. Let us head back to the shuttles, we will inform the planetary governor that-"

Just then, a bolt of bright green light flies just over your head. Lasgun fire, coming from further in. The auspex in you helmet begins to detect multiple signatures, all human.

You and your brothers quickly jump to cover, as more bolts of lasgun fire fly in your general direction. It's an ambush.

Lasgun fire and human signatures on a ruined space marine vessel. Just to be sure, you shout out a warning in case this is a misunderstanding.

"In the name of the Emperor, cease fire! We are the Lamenters space marine chapter, lay down your arms or be purged."

Your warning is met with the sound of laughter and continued lasgun fire.

"Death to the false Emperor!"

Now the signatures come into view. Humans they may be, but citizens of the Imperium they are not. You see that may of them have tattoos of heretical symbols and many appear mutated. The most common mutation you see is multiple eyes, glowing a bright purple that can be seen even in the darkness.

"Everyone, fall back to the shuttles!" You command, opening fire on the advancing heretics while your brothers fall back. Some of the serfs and guardsmen begin loading into the shuttles while other provide covering fire. You fall back to your shuttle along with the rest of your brothers, when a new signature shows up on your auspex.

One thunderhawk, currently heading for your position. You did not bring any of your thunderhakws to the space hulk.

For some reason, 4chan isn't letting me post the image of the tattoos the cultists have, but I think most of you can hazard a guess at what it is.

These heretics are only armed with lasguns, which are unable to penetrate our armor. Try to draw them into an ambush of your own, with the serfs, the librarian, and yourself providing ranged fire, while everyone else flanks them and tears them apart like heretical tissue paper.

Slaaneshis, wonderful. Let us purge this hulk of these lost souls.

>>
>>42250281
I could be a loyalist chapter that got jumped by an heretic ones, that's quite farfetched but still possible...
>>
>>42250360
Possibly, the real clue lies in the signal the techmarines got a hold of earlier.

>[Maintenance report: -----.M42. Major damaged sustained in battle. -----thunderhawks, and ----- remain. Recommend -----unti------operational.]
>>
>>42250025
You're positive that's not your thunderhawk. Quickly, you try to vox the pilot.

"This is Antarius of the Lamenters chapter, state your business."

No response. That really concerns you. If that is an enemy thunderhawk, you'll be torn apart if you try to fly out now. That only leave one way to go.

"Incoming thunderhawk, everyone out of the shuttles! All serfs, fire at the advancing enemy. Astramael, help me provide covering fire! Everyone else, find cover and get to their flank! MOVE!"

Immediately, everyone climbs out of the shuttles and gets into position. Lasgun fire is no concern to you or your brothers, although a large amount of lasgun fire can be problematic. More concerning is the Thunderhawk quickly closing in on your position. You must deal with these cultists quickly, before the Thunderhawk arrives.

You turn your combi-flamer on the advancing cultists and open fire. The cultists die in droves to the combined fire of bolters and laspistols. Eventually, some of the cultists make it into the hangar, right where you want them.

The guardsmen open fire with their own lasguns. The serfs begin laying down burning promethium on the cultists as soon as they're within range. Within a matter of moments, the cultists are dealt with, allowing you to focus on more pressing matters.

"Everyone to cover, the Thunderhawk is upon us!"
>>
>>42250382
As if on cue, a Thunderhawk painted an ugly combination of purple and silver comes into view. You see the twin-linked heavy bolters under it's wings begin to spin up and you dive for cover, the bolter rounds exploding into the wall beside you. You are fortunate to avoid getting hit, but many of the guardsmen that came with you are not so fortunate.

The Thunderhawk fires one of it's lascannons into the hangar, reducing one of the shuttles to ash. As though this weren't enough, your auspex is detecting more signatures coming in from the same direction as the last horde of cultists. Many are human, some are space marine signatures.

You need to think of something, fast. Your eyes come to rest on the terminal Magron was tampering with earlier. Given time, he might be able to close the hangar bay doors and stop the Thunderhawk's attack. That still leaves the issue of the incoming heretics.

>Plan of action?
>>
shitsux if it's a renegade chapter's Thunderhawk even more so if it's an heretical one cause cleaning it off the taint would take ages and being Lamenters it'd mean that it would invariably dick us over at some point.
>>
>>42250402
purple and silver, rings any bell? I am not well versed in 40k heraldry and colors
>>

1. Keep the Thunderhawk busy while Magron closes the door

"Magron, get that hangar door closed!" You shout, popping out of cover to fire on the Thunderhawk, intending to keep it distracted.

Magron makes his way to the terminal and begins interfacing with it. Meanwhile, the Thunderhawk continues to fire into the hangar. It fires it's lascannons again and two more of the shuttles are destroyed. Are they intending to trap you here?

You duck under cover just in time to avoid being riddled with bolter fire. That was far too close for comfort. Thankfully, you hear the shuddering of moving steel over the sound of bolter fire, as the hangar doors begin to close. You stay down until you hear the loud "THUNCK" of the doors sealing, then rise to survey the damage.

Another shuttle was destroyed while you were in cover. Total, four shuttles were destroyed by the Thunderhawk, leaving you with more people than there is room for in the remaining shuttles. Many of the guardsmen and some of the serfs were critically wounded in the Thunderhawk's assault as well.

"Dammit!" Magron swears loudly.

"What's wrong?"

"The terminal's fried, I won't be able to open the hangar doors now. We're sealed in."

Sealed in. You're now trapped within a Space Hulk infested with heretics. You don't even have time to contemplate the gravity of your situation, as the auspex warns you of the next impending assault.

"More incoming heretics, possibly some renegade marines as well. Everyone, get ready for battle."

Once again, everyone runs for cover and prepares to fight. The signatures on the auspex continue to grow closer...closer...

"INTRUDERS! REND THEIR FLESH AND LET THEM SING IN AGONY!"

Alright, I'm going to have to call it a night here folks. Not sure when the next LQ thread will be, probably next week. Keep an eye on the twitter just in case though.

What data did we get about the space hulk?

Is it on a collision course with something or is it on its way out of the system?
