How do we solve a problem like Coco and Nathan?

Lay a few parasites and 3 flies, so that the flies can attack Coco together when it invades Michael's room? it can't get all of them at once, right.

Well, I personally think we may have played the stealth game long enough at this point. We need to know the locations of their tech, after that:

Send a few thousand ships to the location of each of their facilities (they probably don't have any more facilities on major worlds that would require infiltration, right?). Broadcast to any defending fleets nearby that we are reclaiming stolen technology and any aggression against our forces will be met with a lethal response. Send in ground forces to secure, remove, or destroy any void shards or tachyon projects. There's nothing the Union can really do short of a full scale war, and they are unlikely to commit to that at this point (they would also lose).

I've been trying to have the fixed guns on light fleet ships replaced with blasters.

It occurs to me that the entirety of our forces are ones we have patrolling or on active standby. We should start laying reserve forces, hive drones that go into hibernation as soon as they are hatched. Hibernating drones have no upkeep so after the laying costs and a single day upkeep we'd be paying nothing on them while they remain in storage ready to be woken up in the wake of some emergency.

This may not apply to ships as we only have a limited space in which to store them and constructing any more is an investment in resources, however there is no reason we cannot begin laying reserve swarms right away in much larger numbers than we would normally lay because we don't plan on paying upkeep on them.

But we could maybe actually make hibernating ships. We basically fill ships with lots of hibernating drones and send them to a location in empty space which only we know and tell them to hibernate. And then we pick them up when we need it. Space is BIG, they shouldn't be discovered.

Once the Taidaren 'doctors' are implanted, we can have the doctors suddenly have a stroke of inspiration that they test on new patients, and realize that parasites will quickly implant themselves given the right stimuli, allowing much faster distribution of the things without a surgery bottleneck.
