Refined Raio-ken. We're the best at it, and while we may have peaked when it comes to its regular applications, that's not to say we can't get creative with it.

I'm thinking a level beyond Raio-ken, like our own version of Kaio-ken times whatever. Create a ring of lighting that floats in the air behind our back, like the mythical thunder drums in Japanese mythology. That ring is constantly turning, and while our outward appearance may not look any different, in that state, we combine our telekinesis, magic, and Raio-Ken to give us precise, deadly control over lightning, and to call down more from the clouds to give us more to work with; to mold into shapes and extra limbs and weaponry or even armor as we need to.

What I'm saying is Kato has given us all the tools we need to start fighting like a lightning bender. I say we use them, and make building on the Raio-ken our priority. Those other guys can have their Kaio-ken.

You take a lot of time with the Gravity Chamber, and get some great training in with it, though at 11x Earth's gravity it seems that the thing still has issues handling it. Repeated usage ends up breaking it... again... damn it all.

On the plus side, you, Tien and Chi-chi make some excellent progress on the Noble Eightfold Path, with your friends being able to manage the Samma Vaca and you finally achieving the next step along the Path, the Samma Kammanta. Being able to use this one is a bit more difficult, as Trip explains, it is something centered on "right action or conduct," requiring a high moral character and outlook on life, without desire to take the lives of the innocent, abstaining from stealing or cheating others, and staying away from... sexual misconduct.

To your surprise, the both of you do extremely well, for two people who are little better than beginners, at least. There are at least 4 different timelines put forth in the manga alone, as confirmed by the Daizenshuus. Thanks! Really, a good chunk of this is on you guys, and a lot of it is just a lot of little things adding up. For yourself, Lapis would have probably ended up being the easiest to really start up a meaningful relationship with. It would take quite a while, and the both of you probably wouldn't be anywhere close to "dating" until after the 23rd Tournament.

It'd take even longer if you tried to start up a relationship with Mark Satan, possibly well into "Z." By then, he might actually be a widower, with a child of his own. It'd present a number of different challenges for you, but y'all might be able to make something interesting out of it. Could be quite a thing.

Other than that, your options would be pretty limited. Yamcha would be extremely uncomfortable starting up a relationship with you even if he and Bulma broke up. Tien wouldn't be interested, period. Chiaotzu... things would be awkward, to say the least. Your brother would be ten different kinds of against it. Z might present more options, but not that many.

And then there's Bulma. She'd be... conflicted, to say the least. On one hand, she has a better relationship with Yamcha than she does in canon, and the both of them care for each other. On the other, she'd be genuinely attracted to Goku, and start to see that the two of them could sort of work together, with a bit of effort from them both. Even now she thinks Goku's quite handsome, and thinks you're quite lucky to be as close to him as you are. She wouldn't suddenly dump Yamcha out of the blue, but if things didn't end up working out, Goku would be the first person she'd try to pursue. Might end up succeeding, with some help.

Other than that, there might be some options for him later on, but none that'd quite have the same kind of history that these have. Could end up pretty limited, eventually, unless I tried to throw him an OC. Maybe... I dunno, Mai? Annin? ...Princess Snake?

Chuu Lee is at 235, and she is a bit farther behind in terms of skill than Krillin's students, but her energy attacks hit a good deal harder, and she's slightly more agile. She does have the Geist Magnum and Phantom Shotgun down. She's actually fairly interested in learning the Raio-ken, but knows that she's nowhere close to ready for it, given what you've told her. She's going to be patient. Lightning and Wind magic, at least what you've told her about, also greatly interests her. She'll definitely have a few good skills of her own to throw out come next Tournament.

Tuffles are marginally stronger than humans, but still way below Saiyans. Any hybrids wouldn't have TOO much of a difference in strength, possibly a bit smarter overall than Gohan or Trunks. Upbringing will be extremely important.

Kato, I just want to say that I've been really enjoying this quest. I'll admit, when I first saw the early threads pop up, I judged the hell out of this book by its cover and didn't read it, but then the brief crossover thing in Space Alcoholic Quest happened, and made it seem cool, so I decided to give this a shot.

This is now far and away my favorite quest that's currently being run on tg, and it's because you took a dumb GT thing and managed to thoroughly un-fuck it by knowing how to write believable chaeacters, and how to do character development gradually and in a believable way.

Hell, I'm usually not a fan of waifu shit in quest threads, but the Maple/Goku stuff is being done well enough that I'm enjoying it quite a lot.

So, thanks for proving my initial bias wrong in a big way. You rock, Kato.

Also, since I'm the one who had Maple theme song/power up music ideas, mind I I drop some of those in here now?
