It's the 26th of Ascending Earth. Only two days have passed from the battle that nearly destroyed Tianna and caused so much damage all across the island.

Refugees are being helped and the ruins and rubble caused by the fighting and the earthquake have been cleared. It'll probably be a few months before life returns to normal, but at least now you're not in an emergency any more.

Well, except for Valeriana. You have several people who are skilled in crafts or at directing work crews and organizing stuff, but Valeriana is really the only civil engineer of Exalted level you can rely on. Zaan is more of a sorceror specialist, and Irene is closer to a military engineer, and they're both already helping however they can.

You have a lot of things to ask her, but you realize she must be incredibly overworked, and will probably stay that way for quite a while.

But you also have other issues to worry about. You wanted to talk to your Abyssal "allies" about their current situation, what with having lost their Deathlord and being essentially stranded in Creation. And you'll have to check on Pearl, since you didn't have time to return there until now. Mikahil is of the opinion that expanding Tianna's influence on the Neck is the next logical step, and a necessary one, and he seems to trust you to work on it on your own, so you could stand to do some research on the subject. You also want to make plans yourself, for Gem, where your parents might still be prisoner... though it's really distant from here.

And you'll have your wedding to worry about as well.

On the other hand, you realize glancing behind yourself... you might have gone a bit overboard and managed to KO even the usually-resilient Tia, and your Swift Rider is still in Pearl, which means that you'd have to hitch a ride with another Lunar, or move via more conventional means, if you want to head there.

>Who are we?
Maka, an exiled noble Exalted as a Zenith-caste Solar. Queen of Gem, now ruling the western island of Tianna. You have gathered a vast amount of allies and friends, and defeated every threat to Tianna up to now.
You recently discovered that Tianna is actually an artificial island, built around a First Age Titan: an almighty flying fortress. Your forces have crushed the Bodhisattva Anointed by Dark Water, a Deathlord who tried to usurp its power for himself.
Now you have built a solid power base, and worked hard to draw the attention and earn the trust of the Unconquered Sun. What will your next step be?

>Solar? Zenith? I don't know Exalted...
This quest is as newbie-friendly as possible, and I want it to work as a newbie's intro to Exalted. If you have ANY question, ask in thread. For the setting, google "1d4chan exalted".

>Archive?

>System?
Dicepool-like system. When performing an action, everyone rolls 1d10 when posting. the first X rolls are considered, where X is equal to attribute + ability.

>XP?
Attributes cost [current score x5] xp. Abilities cost [current score x3] xp, except Zenith costing [(current score x3) -1]. Charms cost 10 xp, except for Zenith-based charms (related to charisma and physical/mental fortitude) which cost 8 xp. At the end of every "session" (thread) you will be presented with a list of possible acquisitions.

You've resolved to go and see the Abyssals during the meeting, and everything else can wait in one way or another.

However, they're all still in the Dark Omen. By now, probably, Fleurdelis must have returned there as well.

You briefly weight your options.

>Ask Five Tails. She shouldn't be particularly busy right now.
>Ask Talon. He doesn't have anything to do now, you think.
>Ask Zaan, even though you think he might be busy with helping the refugees.
>Head to the port and get a ship.

You mull about it for a moment, then you go and see Talon, who, to the best of your knowledge, has put up a small tent village with a few of his barbarian warriors just outside Tianna, as his scouts cover the countryside for the (very) few remaining stragglers and deserters from the Prince's forces.

It's just outside town, so you leave messages to inform everyone in Tianna of your intention and head out.

The reception you get in the village is... respectful. It's just ten or so tents and a palisade around them, with a few horses tied down and twenty or so barbarian warriors. Tall, muscular fellows with lack hair cut very short or arranged in unique patterns. These warriors, much like Tia's Black Talon Tribe, acquitted themselves wonderfully in the battle. Looking at them, they seem quite well equipped for "barbarians": their armor is leather and pelts, but weapons, tools and jewelry are clearly well-crafted bronze. You suspect that, much like Tia's tribe, they derive it from smelting the sands of Tianna, which are, in some places, in the powdered rust of the Titan beneath.

They keep their eyes fixed on you as you move past, and don't dare get in our way or disturb you. You interpret that as something akin to respectful submission more than fear, judging by the look in their eyes. Many of them have tattoos in the shape of lunar images or wolves, and you wonder how much of that was influenced by Talon.

Speaking of him, you find him relaxing in front of his tent, lying on the ground, looking up at the sky, a fresh new leaf cigar lit between his teeth.

"Maka." He greets you, sitting up. "To what I owe your visit?"

"...Is everything all right?" You ask, sitting next to him.

For some reason, he seems... He gives you an odd vibe.

He takes a deep puff of smoke, and slowly exhales it in a formless cloud. "...What do you mean?" He asks, defensively? "You came all the way here to ask me that?"

"No, but I just thought I'd ask." You reply. "I was wondering why you asked to join the team going to Gem."

"I told you, I just want to see the South. Seemed like a good excuse as any."

You smile. "Isn't it about Starfall?"

He takes the cigar out of his mouth. "...That obvious, huh?"

"Not terribly so, but I'm good at spotting this sort of thing." You nod. "Does she know?"

"I don't think so, but she could be hiding in those bushes and listening to us right now and we'd never know." He shrugs.

"So... Are you her Lunar Mate?"

"I think so." He replies, looking at the cigar idly. "Because I've never really felt like this."

"Like how?" You inquire.

His ears flick nervously. "She's cute."

"She is."

"And adorable."

"Yes."

"And I think I'm in love with her."

"Aww."

"But she's not my type."

"What?" That threw you off for a moment.

He sighs. "I want to-" and then stops and looks again at you, giving you a long stare, like only now he's suddenly realizing you're sitting next to him. "...I need to talk to you about something. It might get weird."

"I'm getting pretty used to weird." You reply, confident.

"It's- It's something I wanted to ask you for quite a while. It's something of a sensible topic, but I'd like us to discuss it as reasonable, mature adults." He lowers his tone of voice. The warriors nearby, each minding his own business, make an effort to busy themselves elsewhere.

Is he... embarrassed about something?

>What... what's wrong? You've never been like this.
>Come on, you can ask me anything. I'll listen, and I won't judge you.
>Just spill the beans, man.

Oh, I get it. Remind me what we are channeling its power into again?
>>
"Come on, you can ask me anything. I'll listen, and I won't judge you."

He makes every effort to look dignified and strong, a 240 centimeters tall, probably over 200 kilogram beast of dense bone and trained muscle looking uncomfortably embarrassed in front of you.

"It's about sex."

You smile. "I'm an expert."

He rolls his eyes. "...Yes, yes I know. I... I see Millian as... as a little sister. She's adorable. I want to stay by her side and protect her. I love her, but... not in that way. She isn't my type. I wouldn't do anything to her." He pauses. "I don't want her to know yet. She... She's been influenced quite a bit by you. If she knew. she'd probably want to, or at least offer to, you know..."

"I can see where this is going." You nod wisely.

>I think she deserves to know. I can try and explain things to her diplomatically.
>I think she should know, and you should tell her. Whenever you feel comfortable, but someday you'll have to.
>Don't worry, I'll keep the secret.

Not even close, it was originally a 3 dot water manse, but we changed it into a 3 dot Solar manse and then boosted it up with extra dots we got from raising our Social.

Where have you been for the last like 60 threads?
>>
>>42125338
A city intelligence to run city systems, artificial light and power, a bonus to Solars who do stuff inside the manse (I think the bonus is limited to actions of leadership and command) Essence weapon defenses, an artificial Wyld Zone.

Probably more stuff but I can't remember it at the top of my head.

"That's why I'm here." Well, it's not entirely true, but now you want to know, and you want to help him.

"It doesn't have anything to do with Starfall, it's just about myself." He admits, standing up and heading inside the tent. "Will you listen to me? Just promise you'll keep it a secret. It's not something I want to be known, not right now."

Not super new, but we saw this map I think right before the actual fighting started. It's all the demesnes and manses that are on Tianna period as opposed to the ones we had just found after the wyld. These are already known and/or already capped by Tianna or the Lunars.
>>
>>42125787
>but she weren't in the best shape herself back then.
She was doing better than we were, and I can totally see us deciding to split our skull open with a headbutt for Maka's sake while she's watching if anon was playing.
>>
>>42125799
>I'm not really mad, anon, just disappointed when it happens.
>There's nothing worse

Nah dude you're butt blasted, go get some help about that.
>>
>>42125737
We had Tia Time during the Lintha arc.
>>
>>42125813
No this map includes the post-Wyld manses.
>>
>>42125827
Well i can't think of anything worse on the internet. The only similar thing is when an author I like takes a hiatus, which is... exactly the same thing to me.
>>
>>42125837
Yes?

I didn't mean they weren't on there, just that the rest are ones that Tianna already knew about on the island.
>>
>>42125799
Okay, you don't like it, point taken. But at lest read through those threads to get storline updates.
>>
>>42125845
>Well i can't think of anything worse on the internet
Seriously? That's just pathetic of you.
>>
>>42125814
Considering how anon played Maka that time we would've just gotten Tia killed there I'm afraid.
>>
>>42125886

>>

I knew you couldn't think of anything, you're just shitposting. We can stop now for the sake of the thread I guess.
>>
>>42125867
>>42125813
Actually, from what I'm reading, the Capped demenses have little building images on them, which means that all the ones without haven't been capped yet. All the ones on the mainland are probably claimed, but somehow I doubt the ones on the outlying islands are.

For example, that three-dot in the northwest.
>>
>>42125955
No seriously, you cannot possibly think of something worse than things not going perfect in your quest? Have you never seen people kill themselves because of the internet being down effecting the stock market? Never browsed another website on the internet? Never seen how crazy and insane it can make people and the things they do? Because if so holy shit thats pathetically naive.

I'm not going to spoonfeed you the entire fucking internet just because your head is so far in the sand you've penetrated the planets crust.
>>
>>42125955
What the hell. Just how deluded *are* you?
>>
"I promise." You reply.

You follow him inside the tent. It's rather bare, with just a wooden bowl, a small bronze plate full of slowly-burning dry herbs spreading a soothing, incense-like smell, and a few talismans hanging from the posts. A straw carpet is laid on the grass.

He sits down, and waits for you to close the tent shut, your eyes take a moment to adjust to the near-total darkness. You sit down in front of him.

Talon half-smiles at you. "I've never been much of a celibate man." He starts. "When I was a mortal, I was one of the best warriors of a very large tribe. I was..." He chuckles. "Don't take it as bragging." he interrupts himself as an aside. "But I was considered quite handsome."

"I told you I'm not going to judge you." you reply, amused. "So you were one damn hunk of a man and probably got dozens of girls orbiting you, both for your station in the tribe and because they wanted you so bad. I can see that."

"The... incident in which I Exalted made me dislike my human form. Intensely. I don't want to go down in details. I'll don it if i absolutely have to, but I won't like it." He takes a tired look at you. "My new tribe here in Tianna has many women. Several of them would do anything to get in my bed. But they can't satisfy me, and I'm genuinely afraid that I'd accidentally hurt them. I felt like I was walking on eggshells when I tried."

"That sounds frustrating." You admit. "How long has it been?"

"Ten years? I think. More or less." He groans.

"That sounds TERRIBLE."

"I'm just... I..."

(cont.)
>>
"You want to ask me if you can have sex with me." You cut to the chase, having heard enough to guess the situation. "You're asking me because I'm the one that is most like your type, and because you know I won't break no matter what you do to me. And you've been worried about asking because you're afraid I or others would think less of you for it, or maybe that I'd get strange ideas about you when all you want is really just some sex with no strings attached because you're a boy, your body has needs, and you've been neglecting them for a really long time." You conclude.

He just stands there listening to your explanation, and then falls silent for a few seconds before nodding. "...That's pretty much it."

>Jump on him, tackle him to the ground, rip his pants off.
>You should have told me sooner. Right here right now, or do you have any specific requests? *wink*

>I don't really feel like it right now, but we can talk about it another day.
>Let's pretend nothing of this ever happened, okay? It just can't work. You should get over your weird hangups on your own.

>>
>>42126003
He's amazingly deluded.
>>
>>42125983

We can do it after we've check in on Pearl and the Abyssals. Mainly the Abyssals, I don't want any wandering off before we can talk to them.

>Jump on him, tackle him to the ground, rip his pants off.

Once we're done then ask

Cause its clear he needs it right now, but he'll also need it in the future, and he loves her.
>>
>>42126106
We are dealing with ten years of frustration here, man. And Talon is a full battle monster and in his warm form.

We should be asking to see his human form and soothe his traumas with it

You don't even have to worry about the Warform stuff, Zaan gave us the talk and everything.

>>

I thought he was the social caste. I mean, he's not terrible in a fight - few exalted are. But Tia's the battle monster, not Zaan or Talon.

If anyone is an expert on sexual experimentation it's Maka. She's practically a sex technician
>>

Anon his warform is probably capable of killing us if things go bad, let's not do that and save the war form dickings for Tia.

It's one of the reasons I don't want to push it right now, not all Solar/Lunar Mates are about romantic love, if Talon only feels familial love towards Radiant then that's fine.
>>
>>42126279

Well, it depends. If she really has a crush on the guy, she might take badly that he doesn't want to fuck her.

She really needs to stop fucking with people when they aren't aware she's participating, though. Maka doesn't mind, but that's a pretty terrible thing to do.
>>
>>42126338
Do we know that for sure? We don't know if she has body mending meditation and that stamina charm.

Without those two she's exactly as resilient as Mikahil when it comes to getting her legs broken in combat.

She should be fine, Amata sent her out to look for the Day caste when he disappeared so she's well enough to do that.
>>
"You're surprisingly cute." You giggle.

"Huh?" He mumbles, looking at you confusedly.

That's when you pounce on him and knock him to the ground by surprise.

You're a lot stronger than you look, and you've wrestled semi-seriously with Tia, but Talon is still three times your weight (and four times Tia's) and made of basically pure muscle. It takes you a moment to fully topple him, and he makes a powerful, deep, satisfying slam when he hits the ground.

"What the heck-"

"Shh." You playfully lift your finger at him. "Don't worry, I'm an expert." You expertly rid him of what little clothing he has in one fell swoop.

"Here?! Now?! Are you even more horny than I am?!" He hisses angrily.

"I'm always horny." You reply.

"N- no, wait, don't-" He suddenly realizes what's about to happen and tries to scuttle away, but you pin him down, He could struggle free, but as his eyes lock into yours, he realizes your elaborate plan: if he struggles too much, the tent will collapse and everyone will catch the two of you in the act. Not just his tribesmen: his camp is fully visible from the city walls.

You can read his train of thought in his expressions:

Even Maka wouldn't just keep at it if the tent comes off and we end up in plain sight.

No, you grin, I'd totally do that. I might even flare my Anima to draw even more attention. You don't have a choice, so just stay put.

He groans and half-heartedly tries to peel you off himself. "...I'm, I'm not ready yet..."

"Like hell you aren't." You demonstrate with a decisive grope that makes him whimper. "I've never seen anyone THIS ready, and I've seen Tia." You lean closer, grab the corner of his ear, and whisper in it: "Do it."

Once said that, there really isn't anywhere else to go, is there.

This was a learning experience for you, too. Talon is very big, in many different ways, and you've had your share of fun with him just as much as he had with you.

And yes, he really needed some stress relief, you'll admit. It's quite a miracle of careful acrobatics that you both managed not to collapse the tent. You're still 100% sure that everyone in the camp knows what happened, but hey, it will probably improve his standing with them. They don't know what happened, and seeing your boss drag a supernaturally beautiful Exalted in his tent and fuck her senseless is something to respect.

Well, you're not quite senseless, but between him and Tia earlier you'd say you're feeling quite sexually satisfied.

You roll around on the mass of garbled straw that used to be a mat and nuzzle up to Talon, who is lying on his back, nearly passed-out, breathing heavily.

"I'll try my best to be there for you when you'll need to do this again." You grin. "It was fun, and you're quite good at it, if a bit rusty. But..."

He rolls his head to face you, tiredly.

"...I've heard Starfall talking. She might not be your type, but you're definitely her type."

"...I suspected that." He replies. "But... It'd feel weird to me... to do... well, things like these. With her."

"So you have a thing for women taller and curvier than her." You gently caress his fluffy tail. "Nothing wrong about that, but you could try something out of your comfort zone. Just think about it." You look up to his eyes. "I'm saying this because I think it could turn out better for both of you."

He rolls his head back looking up to the top of the tent. "...I'll think about it, alright."

"So, Talon... I'll be honest. I didn't come and see you just because I suspected you had something to say, or because i wanted to have sex with you. Although those were both perfectly valid reasons as well."

"I imagined as much." He grins, showing his mouth filled with pointy teeth.

"I need a lift to the Dark Omen, anyway. Will you help me get there?"

"...Dark Omen? Oh, yeah, the Abyssals." He nods, and, with great effort, stands back up. "Alright, just let me grab my pants. But why didn't you ask Tia? She's always with you."

"She's resting." You wink. "I might have gone a bit too far with her earlier."

He seems genuinely impressed. "...Just how unstoppable are you?"

"We could do another round or ten, if you feel like it." You shrug. "Or a hundred?"

He seems to grow pale from shock for a moment, then mumbles something to the effect of "I'll keep that in mind."

Say..." You mumble playfully, peeking out of the flap at the numerous barbarian warriors all around the tent, who are intently staring at it. "What do you think your men imagine just happened?"

He freezes mid-dressing. "...How loud have you been?" He suddenly wonders, clearly trying to remember.

"Quite a bit, though not as much as you." You reply.

He groans, finished putting on his trousers, and then just sits and facepalms.

"I'm sure that they're all very impressed that you scored THIS hard." You wink wink nudge nudge at him. "Maybe I should walk out of this tent naked and covered in hot-"

"NO!"

"-sweat?"

"Still no." He doesn't look too amused.

"You worry too much." You reply.

I feel the need to restate what I said earlier, we really are terrible in a wonderful sort of way

When you open the tent flap and walk out, everyone pretends that they were busy doing something, and totally not trying to peek or overhear.

Talon glares around a bit, then offers to pick you up.

"...Aren't you going to turn in a bird or something that flies?" You wonder, as he hoists you up in a princess carry.

"That's boring." He replies, as you see his caste mark glow.

Then, he just leaps up.

It's a monumental jump, one that quickly leaves the camp behind and covers, in a wide, lazy arc, almost a hundred meters. The moment his feet touch the ground, he keeps the momentum leaping again, from hilltop to hilltop, from tree to tree, and across open plains, bounce after bounce.

"Well, this is new." You admit, genuinely impressed.

"So..." After a while, you get used to this manner of moving, even if the ground getting suddenly closer is scary at first, compared to just flying. "Will you be coming to the summer camp?"

"I haven't decided yet." He admits. "I hope it's not just a waste of time."

"I don't think it will be. Nysela is a very serious goddess, and she's determined to train us so we can better face the dangers against Creation." An errant thought strikes your mind. "Speaking of which, do you think you can introduce me to any other western Lunars?"

"What for?" He replies, maybe a bit defensive.

"Well, to meet them, first of all. Get to know people. Maybe win allies against Skullstone, or the Realm, or the Lintha. There's a lot we could gain."

He nods, after some thought. "I'll tell you when i get word of the next moot, but I think it would be better for you to ask Lynne. He's a lot more in touch with them than I am."

"Good call." Finally, you see the wreck of the massive airship in the distance, as well as Pearl. The damage is extensive, and the coastline is filled with craters, but it looks like Golden Reach is still mostly intact. "You can let me go here, I'll handle things."

He lands not too far from the wreck, in open countryside, where the grass has begun to die from the proximity to... probably all that soulsteel. "Alright. Best of luck."

"Thank you. If Tia gets restless tell her I'm either here or in Pearl." You wink to him.

"Will keep that in mind." He waves goodbye at you before jumping back.

You focus your will for a moment and change your outfit before heading to the Dark Omen.

The airship, once a small fortress of floating steel and bone, has been completely wrecked by the enemy's essence artillery strikes. The side that faces the sea is entirely cratered and shattered, letting you actually peek into its structure.

A host of undead mill about the ship, many in arms and patrolling or standing guard, many more moving around materiel in hasty work gangs. Many of them seem fairly fresh and raised in a rush, rather than the usual high-quality skeletons you've seen from them.

As you approach the ship, you see Baron step out of the undead crowd as it parts and notice you. "Maka."

"Baron."

A moment of clumsy silence ensues.

"So... to what do we owe this visit." He asks.

I don't want to immediately ask what they're going to do like were kicking them out when we obviously aren't, but we also don't know how they even feel about staying in Tianna after all that has happened or how they feel about us after the Tyrant.

>>42127533
There is multiple points that need to be addressed. We need to know what they will do, try to help them if they want something else than their current state, etc.

Just asking if they're going to help with Skullstone is both pretty callous and make us look like a sef-interested jerk
>>
>>42127630

Unless that something else is "death to creation, all hail the Neverborn."
We probably shouldn't help with that.

>Is Fleurdelis here?

>How are things going in the world of the dead?

Baron is probably the least likely among Abyssals to be in charge of decision making, so getting to the point with him might not be the most efficient way of talking.
>>
>>42127630
>Just asking if they're going to help with Skullstone is both pretty callous and make us look like a sef-interested jerk
Yeah I'm against just straight up asking before we find out what they even want to do first.
>>
"So... how are things going in the world of the dead?" You try and strike up a conversation.

"No idea." Baron shrugs. "Doc managed to open a small portal to the Underworld and we scouted a bit, and it seems that while all this mess was going on here in Creation almost nothing happened in the Underworld."

It suddenly strikes you that you know almost nothing about how Tianna is on the Underworld side.

"Well, with you around sending people's souls straight to Lethe, I'd imagine very few ghosts got formed, so yeah." He admits. "The real problem is what's going to happen to the power vacuum the Bodhisattva left here in the West. ...And the Tyrant, I guess." He seems distraught for a moment. "With two Deathlords suddenly gone, I think things might get rowdy, but on the other side, there aren't any Deathlord forces geographically near enough to try anything big and sudden."

"...You must miss her."

He looks away from you and at the wrecked airship. "Many Abyssals I've known are hostages of their Deathlord in some way or another. The Tyrant, on the other hand, wanted us to respect her, but won our respect in exchange. Now that she's no longer around... We'll miss her, yeah, which is weird, but we were thinking about our own plans."

"Which are?"

He turns back to you. "All five of us have decided to stick together. We will move to the Underworld side of Tianna for now. Rebuild something of a power base there. We'll need a bit of assistance at first, but I think we can be of some help to each other." He gestures at you. "I don't think there's any reason for us to be hostile at each other."

>What kind of help do you need?
>I'd gladly accept you as allies.

"What kind of help do you need?" You wonder.

"We were thinking about... two of the captured ships and one warstrider, in working condition. And all the captured soulsteel."

"...That's not a small request."

"It's nothing you can't do without. We're not asking for money or manpower or souls or blood. But sooner or later someone from the Underworld will come here because of what just happened. It's in your best interest for us to have a decent enough force on the other side, right?" He explains.

"Oh?" You have his attention.

"You're not going to fly the Dark Omen anymore, and Valeriana wants to look into airship design. Do you still have the blueprints?"

Maybe we could get a charm to change/manipulate the hair, like our wardrobe one?
>>
>>42128470
>>42128502
>>42128600
That's neat, is that all for XP?
>>
>>42128726
We don't need to go that far, just you know, actually start saying we want to put our hair in a bun or a ponytail or in twintails.
>>
>>42128663
Having grown up in the South, I imagine Maka dressing covered head to toe while in the North. She'd hate every second of it and complain about wanting to get somewhere warm so she could strip.
>>
>>42128758
Nah, she has charms to endure the elements now.
>>
>>42128758
Nah Maka has charms for that shit, she can survive in the hot desert and in freezing plains without trouble.
>>
>>42128726
...or we could just fuck with our hair. We don't need to invent an entire charm for something so mundane.

But if you really wanted to go down that route, it would probably be a charm which has both our wardrobe charm and Phantom Conjuring as prerequisites, which let us freely sculpt our haircut, makeup, and even produce clothing out of Essence instead of conjuring them from Elsewhere.

You know, just roll the entire field of cosmetic charms into Phantom Conjuring Performance's anima control.

I'm all for playing with our hair more

Also for whoever did the gallery, you missed these two.
>>
>>42128758
She certainly would have when she was a mortal. She's even complained about Tianna being chilly, and it's in a subtropical climate.

Remember, Gem is so far south that it's hazardous to your health to have any amount of skin exposed to sunlight during the day.

But now that Maka can walk naked across the bottom of the ocean, swim in a volcano, and so forth? The North would likely, at worst, give her goosebumps and unusually firm nipples.

>that ahegao
Is Tia having a good dream?
>>
>>42128763
>>42128776
Yeah but I find the image cute/funny.
Grumpy Maka huddled in a corner, complaing about the cold, asking why she's still freezing when she has charms to deal with this kind of thing.
>>
>>42128779
>Phantom Conjuring Performance
Speaking of, that's still on our list of things to get.
>>
>>42128837
Yeah, it'd be bloody great for Maka. It would let her do things like create a hundred-foot, super-loud hologram of herself. Or, you know, conjure insubstantial things out of thin air. It's what Radiant Starfall uses for her transformation sequences and light shows.
>>
>>42124547
The Dropbox link doesn't work anymore, by the way.
>>
>>42128855
We can also float little tiny hearts around us when we have sex and flash Tia heart eyes when we tell her we love her.
>>
>>42128877
Basically, we can go full animu with minor effects enhancing our every action.
>>
>>42128868
Use this one https://www.dropbox.com/s/yxjjb8e50xs52fq/Exalted%20Quest%20-%20Threads%2001-86%20%5Bpdf%5D.rar?dl=0
It goes only up to thread 86, though, so it's a bit outdated.

The northeastern island should be named something to do with the imperial mountain, since that thing is supposed to be visible from every corner of creation and it should be in that direction from most of Tianna.

Thought the word imperial mountain obviously shouldn't be used. It's the pole of Earth. Earthward Island? Or what was the thing called back in the first age again?
>>
>>42128898
Thanks anon, I appreciate it.
>>
>>42128885
I want it so we can have fun when we fight, bring up little heart shaped shields whenever we block something, have flashy golden lights when we land a hit, stuff like that.
>>
>>42128921
I want it so we can have glowing hearts explode out of our pussy every time someone thrusts into it, like falling sparks.

But your reason is good too.
>>
>>42128944
>>42128921
I vote for Phantom Conjuring Performance too. It's the charm I always got when I played a Solar with performance, it's pretty iconic to me. I also think that no matter what we're doing, we can always have a lot of fun with it here in the quest threads.
>>
>>42128921
>>42128978
To be clear, this isn't me voting for it now, I'm just mentioning that I want it later when we've bought our more urgent charms.
>>
>>42128987
Nothing is exactly critical right now. We're covered in every area that we're going to be anytime soon.
>>
>>42129031
Not crucial, but we are entering our kingdom building arc, we need to be picking up Eclipse charms and dots, especially since Mik is letting us focus on getting the Neck while he focuses elsewhere.
>>
>>42129065
Mik will probably tag along for the Neck Expedition but I definitely agree that we'll need a few Eclipse charms to help us with politics and statesmanship.

Shining Rulers Benevolence and Judges ear should be the minimum two we go for for the 3d adder and the ability to detect lies but I think we should also pick up Sagacious Reading of intent so we can figure out people's secret plans from their written words.
>>
>>42129065
Yeah, but there is *always* going to be something like that. We either get a neat, for-fun charm like PCP now or we don't get it at all. There won't ever be a better moment for it.
>>
>>42129114
>>42129109
>>42129065
No, guys. We don't need a performance charm now when we're about to go and seduce a large kingdom. We should get it when we attack Skullstone, it'll be much more useful then.
>>
>>42126004
>"That sounds TERRIBLE."
I can imagine the horror in Maka's voice when she heard this, no sex for ten years must be impossible for her to imagine.
>>
Do you honestly think we'd need an extra edge to seduce the tribal chiefs in the Neck?

We're superhumanly beautiful and we have two charms that boost the social effect of our seduction.

On top of that we've got the stage presence of a superstar and a pile of defeated Skullstone loot to show off.

We don't need animu visual aids to make an impression.
>>
>>42129204
...who the fuck said we'd need Phantom Conjuring Performance for that? We want it because it's a good general-purpose utility, not because we think it's specifically necessary for the next major goal on our checklist.
>>
>>42129204
>need
We want it because it's cool.
>>
>>42129204
Well, what >>42129230 said. Phantom conjuring performance is awesome. It would also be useful pretty much everywhere where we're trying to be impressive and not hiding our solar nature... which makes just about 100% of the entire quest up until now.

Also, think of it this way. Some charms are good in a 4chan quest context, while others aren't. This one would definitely be one of the best ones if you ask me. Anons and Exaltedfag would have a huge new avenue for creativity.

I missed my post linking to whom I was responding.

And we'll have to agree to disagree on PCP's utility or coolness. We've already got one Magical Girl and any of the more subtle applications of PCP don't jibe with how utterly unsubtle we've played Maka as.

Plus I just plain don't like the idea of having quirky effects happening when we do stuff, I've always been a fan of more grounded action since it makes it more engaging for me.
>>
>>42129363
There's nothing subtle about PCP. People always know it's an illusion. All you can do with it is be impressive and flashy.

>Plus I just plain don't like the idea of having quirky effects happening when we do stuff, I've always been a fan of more grounded action since it makes it more engaging for me.
Well if you forgot that all of the exalted are literal floodlights of burning colors whenever anything interesting happens anyway, then you won't mind it now.
>>
>>42129363
>grounded action
>Exalted
Did you miss the ninja wall to wall fight Five Tails had against the Midnight in the Titan?

Or when we uppercutted a guy so hard he never came down?
>>
>>42129403
>Well if you forgot that all of the exalted are literal floodlights of burning colors whenever anything interesting happens anyway, then you won't mind it now.
Pretty much this, if you can forget that everytime it's go time everyone is glowing Gold/Silver then it won't be a problem later.
>>
>>42129420
>>42129403
I realize my saying grounded action kinda seems silly so i'll rephrase it.

I dislike having inane visual effects on top of the fantastical visual effects.
>>
>>42129463
>I dislike having inane visual effects on top of the fantastical visual effects.
...so vote for the non-inane uses of the charm?
>>
>>42129451
Remember that even different solar castes have different anima colors. Dawn mixes in orange and such. Zenith is golden white. Twilight adds blue and purple to gold. And so on.

Add in all of the dragonblooded (and pretend dragonblooded sidereals) who become vortexes of elemetnal energy and so on.

>>42129463
And what's the difference? I just think it would be great for creativity. A word-only medium can use every excuse it gets to remind you of the visuals that are supposed to be happening.
>>
>>42129500
If we vote on getting it then that's what i'll end up doing.

>>42129512
To me the difference would be the aforementioned wallbouncing ninja fight between five tails and that abyssal.

Acrobatic wall bouncing ninja fight: awesome

Acrobatic wall bouncing ninja fight full of floating hearts, words, etc. : distracting and annoying

I get that it gives EF and anons more options for Creativity, i'm just not stoked for it.

Hence we must agree to disagree.
>>
>>42129463
Even forgetting the sillier uses PCP has, it's still a really good utility charm, it can be used to project our voice out to be heard by more people or to create a signal in middle of a battle to signal our forces, it's basically the D&D's Dancing Lights an Ghost Sound as well as a more visual Prestidigitation
>>
>>42129567
You're assuming people would come up with only retarded uses for the charm and then use them incessantly. Don't, instead you should come up with and vote for better ones.

I really want PCP but I don't want a rainbow unicorn parade everywhere either.

>>42129579
Also it can create impromptu holographic displays and such.
>>
>>42129579
I think for battlefield applications we'd be better off getting advanced Dawn charms that deal with war.

>>42129607
If/when we end up getting PCP i'll roll with it and vote for options that aren't rainbow unicorn parades.

Until then though i'll remain skeptical that it won't become a technicolor Wile E Coyote charm.
>>
>>42129512
>Remember that even different solar castes have different anima colors.
According to the book:

>Dawn - rose and violet, pale gold/white
>Zenith - bright white and radiant gold
>Twilight - bright red and gold, subdued blues and violets
>Night - pale gold, ghostly white, soft violet, luminous grey
>Eclipse - brilliant whites and golds, sparkly cores, and filmy, diaphanous edges

They're supposed to look vaguely evocative of the sky or the sun at the time of day associated with the Caste. Also, while we're at it, here are the official colors of each caste:

>Dawn - Lavender, Saffron
>Zenith - Cobalt Blue, Gold
>Twlight - Orange, Black
>Night - Violet, Grey
>Eclipse - Silver

Solars do have a tendency towards white/gold overall, but it's nowhere near as dominant as you'd normally be led to believe, except in the case of Zeniths. And even then, the standard Zenith outfit features lots of blue cloth, with gold accessories.

It's appropriate, perhaps, that Zeniths are associated with blue, the color of weddings, Venus, Air, and the North.
>>
>>42129757
Zenith a best
>>
>>42129757
>It's appropriate, perhaps, that Zeniths are associated with blue, the color of weddings, Venus, Air, and the North.
Yeah, the developers paid a lot of attention to symbolism.
>>
>>42129798
Interestingly, purple - represented with violet/lavender on Dawns and violet on Nights - is the color of funerals, and the Maiden of Endings. Creation doesn't use black like Western cultures or white like Eastern ones for death - it uses violet. We've probably seen the color quite often splashed here and there in the Abyssals' outfits.

And red - represented by rose and saffron for Dawns, and red for Twilights - is the color of warfare, governance, and royalty. This is in no small part due to MRL and, later, Scarlet using the color extensively in their respective conquests and administrations, not to mention that it's the color of the Maiden of Battles.

Creation has a lot of interesting color symbolism that is often glossed over.
