This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son, shortly after everyone has graduated from their Genin exam. I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present. You play as a 12 year old Genin graduate named Takeshi. You have been assigned a Jounin squad leadrt named Hanto, and your two squadmates are Kichiro, a young delinquent, and Ai, a strange social outcast of a girl. You are of average skill in most aspects, a shadow being cast over you by the particularly talented members of your class. You are a blank slate ready to set out on the world.

After a long day of hard work, you make your way to the hot springs in order to relax for a short while. While most of your work today was more mental than physical, the springs seemed to have a rejuvenating effect either way. You enter the spring and make your way to the male half, and step into the hot water. You slide in slowly to adjust to the heat, but once you're in up to your neck, it's extremely pleasant. You look around the room, and you don't see anyone except for a kid your age. He's resting on the side of the spring, a hot towel over his face laying his head back. Do you go over and speak to him?

>A. Go over and say hello.

Dear god, please take this to /a/ or something. I'm usually in favour of quests, but NARUTO of all things?! Not even that; second-generation Naruto?

Please, take it to /a/ where they might actually give half of a fuck, for the sake of having players rather than trolls, if nothing else.

I'd really like to get more time with Takeshi's brother.

Training, or learning from him. He knows sensory and water based jutsus right? Those could be useful. Especially combined.

You wait a few moments and try to get a good look at the kid. If he's sleeping you don't want to just ruin his relaxation. After a few moments he moves, sitting up straight to rotate his shoulder, and rub his arm. He audibly groans as he does this. The towel on his face falls off from his motion, and you see by his Leaf headband that it's a boy named Takkun, who you were in class with. He's the youngest of the students, and also the renowned class clown. Despite the limitations of his age and demeanor, he manages to be a skillful enough shinobi. He's well liked.

You wave, smiling. "Hey, Takkun. You don't look too well."

He looks up, surprised. "Huh? When did you get here?" You chuckle. "I've been here for a few seconds. You were too interested by whatever you see in that towel."

He weakly laughs. "I'm here to loosen up. I'm super sore. My first day of training with my new sensei and the rest of my squad." Takkun stretches his arms out. He's short, about 5'3, and thin. His skin tone is somewhat pinkish. He has navy blue hair, spiky and swept back. His eyes are dark brown. He continues speaking. "It's too much, really. My sensei, he's so harsh.."

You nod. Your sensei was an interesting character as well.

>A. My sensei was sort of a loser. I mean, he was strong, but really strange.

You smile, remembering the victory that you yourself had yesterday. "I kicked a kunai at my sensei's crotch. It was awesome." Takkun smirks, entertained. "Oh really? I wish I could get away with doing something like that. My sensei would put us into the ground if we did that. Not to mention I'd get seriously chewed out by his daughter."

You raise an eyebrow at this. "His daughter?"

Takkun nods. "Yeah. His daughter is a genin on our team. Apparently she was homeschooled by her father and various shinobi from the Academy, so although she's our age we don't know her. She's a monster. Just as bad as her dad! No help that my other team mate is that jerk, Naota.."

Naota is another student who you went to class with. He was seen as a genius by the Academy standards, in the academic sense. He always seemed to preform poorly at physical exercises, though. He was picked on for his superior attitude despite not always being able to back it up. He's certainly a sour grape, but it's his own fault people are mean to him. "Oh, jeez. Sounds like a really dramatic time, all around."

Takkun sighs. "Yeeahh, it's no good. How's your team though? You don't look as worn down as me."

>A. Apparently my Sensei has a poor reputation among Jounin, but I like him.
>B. My Sensei is alright, but my team mates don't seem too interested in friendship. Remember that Ai girl in our class? She's on my team, as well as Kichiro, the bully. We did alright as a team, though.

You sit up straight, about waist high out of the water. You place your arms behind your back, and stretch. "My sensei apparently has a bad reputation among jounin, but I like him. However, my team mates don't seem too interested in friendship. Remember that girl Ai in our class? She's on my team, as well as Kichiro, the bully. We did alright as a team, though."

Takkun sighs, closing his eyes for a few seconds. "Jeez, can't we take the Chunin Exams already, haha? This whole team thing is really dragging us down."

You smile. "I guess it's a part of it all. They probably picked teams like this deliberately. Teaching us about team work, and stuff."

The younger boy nods. "Sounds true enough. I just wish my sensei would chill out a bit. You know what he said to us? He said that we had to fight him from six in the morning to six in the afternoon, all day! The only times we had to rest were when we were hiding from him in the bushes. It was crazy. I've never done anything like that. I mean, look at this."

Takkun raises out of the water slightly, and turns towards you. All across his ribs on the left side, and his back, there are splotches of bruises. He rests back into the water. "They're all over my legs too, but I don't want to get out. It hurts too much, ugh."

You think about your own bruises. Getting punched in the gut left a pretty decent sized one, but it's nothing compared to that. Kichiro probably got the worst of it, with a split nose, but it's still not as bad as fighting against a Jounin for twelve hours.

"My test was short. We all just had to land one hit on him, and we did. Is your teacher named Rock Lee? It sure sounds like this Jounin that I met earlier today. He was exercising nonstop."

Takkun shakes his head. "My teacher is the man named Sarumaru. You might have heard of him. His family is an important group of Shinobi, and he's their head. I guess that's how they could afford to homeschool Yasu, his daughter. He's known for being totally ruthless and destructive in battle, and it shows. His other kid is a Jounin as well, but he's not very tough from what his old man says. His name is Hanzo, or something like that."

You blink. "Do you mean Hanto?"

Takkun shrugs. "Something like that. You said your teacher has a bad rep, huh? Maybe it's the same guy. Hah, that'd mean that my squadmate's older brother is your teacher! Do you think this means that our two teams have been caught in a father and son rivalry?"

You shrug. "Maybe. Hanto seemed too relaxed to really get involved in that sort of thing, but I don't know anything about him other than a first impression."

Takkun stands up out of the water, and wraps a towel around his waist. "Ask your teacher who his dad is the next time you see him, and we'll know for sure. I'm going to head home now, Takeshi. See you around."

You wave. "See ya."

After relaxing alone in the hotsprings for a while longer, you make your way back to your home, and walk in the front door. You see that your older brother is sitting at the kitchen table, and watching a small television that's set on the other side of the room. He's cooking with a hotplate set on the table, trying to fry a piece of pork. He waves as you enter. "Hey, Takeshi. What have you been up to today?"

"It was pretty interesting. I went to the training field to practice, but I ended up meeting a Jounin named Rock Lee and his student, Mari Hyuga."

Your brother raises an eyebrow, poking at the cooking pork with a chopstick. "Ohh, a Hyuga girl? You know, brother, if you marry into that family, we could be quite rich. No more adjusting the antennae on this rickety old TV!"

You roll your eyes. "You want me to marry this girl so that you can get a new TV?"

He takes the pork out of the frying pan and drizzles barbecue sauce on it after setting it on a white plate. "Well, no, but if it's a side-effect of said marriage, I wouldn't complain. It would be good for your future, regardless! Unless..she's not ugly, is she?"

You shake your head, but before you can respond, he pushes the plate of pork towards you. "Hungry?"

You sit down and start to bite into the food. It's sweet and savory, and you haven't had anything to eat all day. Your brother continues talking. "I can't condone my brother marrying an ugly girl, you know. You shouldn't love someone just for their money, Takeshi!" He waggles the chopsticks at you, placing another piece of pork on the frying pan. You grumble inbetween a bite of food before speaking. "She's not ugly, but she's somewhat scary. A really skilled Genin. She taught me a new jutsu."

Your brother leans forward, picking up the remote and changing the programming on the TV. "Oh yeah? What sort?"

You tear a piece of pork off before continuing. "A Genjutsu. It seems super useful."

Your brother chuckles. "Ahh, I thought you'd go for ninjutsu. Most kids who say they want to be the best shinobi around pick the flashiest moves, you know?"

"Utility is underestimated. Speaking of which, do you think you could show me your sensory jutsu, brother?"

He flips the pork, and leans back in his chair. "Hmmmm, I don't know. I'd hate to give away my secrets to my only brother. You might try to usurp me and become the head of the family!"

You chuckle. "Nothing like that. It just sounds really useful."

Hideki scratches his chin, trying to appear deep in thought, although you're sure he's just teasing you. "Wellll, it's not like there's one sensory jutsu that we all use. There's a bunch of different methods to it. The jutsu that I use requires me to be a part of a group of many shinobi. We take shifts using the jutsu, every day. There's this gigantic, invisible barrier of chakra all around the village! With us working in tandem, we know any time that something bigger than a bird or a squirrel enters. Of course, if one of us isn't there, there's a big gap in the defense, see?"

You nod. "I see. What about the other sensory jutsu you mentioned?"

He smiles. "Well, I've got a couple of tricks of my own. I use water jutsu in tandem with a sensory jutsu. But you still don't know what your chakra type is, Takeshi. If it ends up being water, I'll show you what I know. Otherwise, you'll just have to figure things out on your own for now. Besides, I work every day. It will be hard for us to find time to train, unless you want to do it at night sometime. But I know you have missions during the day, so I can't condone skipping sleep as your older brother. Maybe ask your sensei about it, or go to the Academy to read up."

You finish your food.

"Do you have any scrolls that I could look at? Or any advice for my first mission?"

He pulls his piece of pork off of the frying pan, and puts it onto a plate. "Uhhm, not really. I don't exactly study all that often anymore. What's the mission though? I might have some advice."

You shrug. "I don't know. We haven't been told yet."

He chuckles. "Then how am I supposed to give you any decent advice? Just keep your nose clean, Takeshi. Whatever it is I'm sure it won't be too bad. Genin stuff is usually more like community service, but getting paid for it. As long as you don't piss off whoever's employing you, it'll work out."

You nod. "Alright. Goodnight, bro."

He tells you goodnight, and you head into bed and fall asleep. Early the next morning, your alarm blares and you nearly jump out of bed. You quickly get dressed and have a small breakfast, before setting out. When you arrive at the training field for your meeting, you find that you're the second one there. Sitting near the Memorial rock is Kichiro, cross legged and close to nodding off. His nose is bandaged.

Then you hear the sound of kunai thudding into wood to your right. You see on the other end of the field, Ai is practicing with her tools.

You step out into the middle of the field, and look over to your left. "Hey, Kichiro!" He snorts and flinches, being jarred awake. He grumbles and looks up at you with tired eyes, and raises his hand up to wave at you. You're sure that he's not actually trying to be friendly, and is more interested in getting you to leave him alone so he can sleep.

When you turn to Ai, she's staring at you, holding a kunai. You smile. "Hello, Ai."

She simply nods in your direction, and turns back to throwing kunai at a tree trunk. She's throwing them one by one, quite fast, apparently perfecting the technique of her throws.

You decide to fill your time with some simple working out. You get down and rotate between pushups, situps, squats, and pull ups on a tree branch. You do this for about 15 minutes before Hanto walks through the trees, holding a cup that's steaming warm. The wind blows in your direction, and you guess that it's coffee. He waves. "Morning, students. I see that you're all being productive."

"Good morning." you say, while Ai simply starts to collect her weapons, and Kichiro continues to doze. You walk over to him.

"Hey, sensei, what do you know about sensory jutsu?"

He takes a sip of his coffee, and shrug. "Well, it's a general title for jutsu that are used to determine the movement of an enemy, or discern things about them. There's all sorts of sensory jutsu out there."

You nod. "Do you know any that you could teach me?"

Ai and Kichiro both step next to you. Hanto replies. "Well, they're not really seen as a basic technique, although they're not difficult. The standard one is the one used to help defend the village, but that's really it's only purpose. There are some high level sensory jutsu that are incredibly useful, and most of the lower and mid level ones depend on some sort of secondary medium."

You blink. "What do you mean?"

He scratches his chin, and yawns. "Well, here's an example. A shinobi with the earth element might be able to detect enemy movement by placing his hand on the ground, and feeling the vibrations. A shinobi with the wind element might be able to feel the displacement of wind on his skin, no matter how subtle. The Byakugan is also an example of a sensory jutsu. It can see for miles around, and through any solid object. It also allows 360 degree vision, and can detect chakra. It's extremely powerful."

You chuckle. "Oh, I know. I met a Hyuga yesterday."
>>
>>42077304

He smiles. "You'll have to tell me about that experience later. For now, it's time to get you guys started on the mission. We're going to have to travel a short ways outside of the village to get where we need to go."

Kichiro raises an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? I thought most of these Genin missions were crap like dog sitting or gardening."

You glance at Ai, and she's as quiet as ever, intensely staring at Hanto. You imagine she's trying to learn as much about him as she can. Hanto smiles at Kichiro's query.

"Well, I don't really believe in that sort of thing I guess. I've got some real work for you guys. Shinobi don't just preform tasks for the village, they also accept contracts from people who live in their country, and sometimes other countries as well. I did some searching and found that there's a mission that requires four guards for a club, in a seedy little town not far from here. Apparently a local gang has been causing trouble and the Feudal Lord of the area won't do anything about it."

Kichiro slams his fist into his palm, and smiles. "Alright, this sounds like my style!"

Ai nods. "I look forward to the chance to test my abilities in the field."

"Do we know anything about the gang?"

Your sensei shrugs. "No, not really. They're not shinobi though, so I think that even you guys should be able to handle them, no matter what comes up."

Kichiro pipes up next to you. "Do you know how much we'll be getting paid?" Your sensei smiles. "Decently enough. This is a C ranked mission, so it'll probably be more than you were expecting for your first go around."

You smile. "Sounds great! Let's set off on Squad 13's first mission!"

Hanto chuckles. "Glad to see that someone else is as enthusiastic about this as I am. Let's head out."

The four of you make your way back to the village, and then check out at the entrance. You start walking towards a nearby town known for it's crime, due to it's lack of law enforcement. When you get there, many of the buildings look somewhat more run down than most of the village. You all turn down an ally see a large metal door all the way at the end. Hanto speaks up. "This is the place. You three stay out here and guard the entrance, and I'll tell the owner that we're here. Unless it's a group of tough guys who seem like they want to wreck the place, you should just let them in. I'll be right back!"

He opens the door and closes it, and it's just you, Kichiro, and Ai. What do you do?

>A. Suggest that the three of you hide.

You look all over the ally, and start to think of how to best cover the door. Kichiro simply begins leaning against the ally wall, while Ai speaks. "I am going to head up to the rooftop, to get a vantage point."

Sounds like a good enough idea. Still, you stop her. "Wait, we can do it better than that. We're all smaller than most adults, so this gang probably won't be able to fight us well in this narrow space. Ai, you're the most unassuming of us three, so I think that you should go to the front of the Ally. Just wait there and let us know if you see any big groups coming. Me and Kichiro will go up to the rooftops and swoop down on anyone who you signal. This way, regular patrons of the place can still go in."

Kichiro nods. "Doesn't seem like a bad idea."

Ai nods in agreement as well. "How should I alert you two to the enemy?"

Kichiro shrugs. "Eh? It doesn't really matter. Just cough or something, we'll be right here so we can hear you."

You speak up. "Great. Let's get into position, then. Sensei should be coming back out soon enough."

You and Kichiro leap up to the rooftops, while Ai strolls to the end of the Ally. Some time passes as you wait, and you're surprised that Hanto hasn't come back out yet. It's been about twenty minutes, and when you look across at the other rooftop, Kichiro is asleep, laying down in the sun. You're pretty bored, but suddenly, you can hear Ai at the front of the Ally start coughing. Moments later, a group of five large, young men are coming down the narrow path. Ai leaps up next to Kichiro as they pass, and shakes him awake. You all look down on the group. What do you do?

>A. Tell everyone to start raining down on them with your shinobi tools.
>B. Have Kichiro jump to the front of the ally, to trap them. Tell him to use his fireball jutsu, so that they have no where to go.

You hold up a hand, urging your team to wait. You preform a couple of handsigns and look down at the group, and try and split your attention between all five of them for preforming this jutsu. It's a monumental task, but thankfully the illusion you're trying to create isn't very complex. You send pulses of chakra into their brains in order to alter the door of the bar, putting a "Closed, out to lunch." sign on the front of it. You can hear the young men groaning and speaking as they approach.

"Ehhh!? What's this, out to lunch? The old bastard must have known we were coming somehow!"

"Maybe we should just kick in the door, then. Leave a note for him when he gets back. I'm sure he'll still get the message."

One of them chuckles. "It's not the same as dangling him around by the scruff of his neck though! Maybe we should just wait for him to come back."

"Alright, fine. But we're going in now. It's too damn hot out to just sit around."

You motion with your hand for the team to jump down. You and Ai land directly in front of the gang, kunai drawn, while Kichiro is at the end of the ally, shuriken in his hand and arms crossed. You speak. "Can't you read? It's closed."

The gang members smirk. "I don't know what you kids think you're doing, but you better get out of the way if you don't want to get hurt. We don't have time for a couple of punks pretending to be ninja."

One of the gang members speaks up. "I think they're actual Genin, boss. See the headbands?"

He grumbles. "..so what? They're still just kids."

"Yeah, but that means they might have a Jounin with them!"

>A. That's right, we do. He's inside this building, and he's probably coming out soon.

Ai looks over at you. "Huh??"

The gang also seems surprised. "What are you talking about kid, what work?"

You put your hand to your chin. "I'm guessing you guys are some sort of lame "protection" agency probably, right?"

The apparent leader steps forward. "You better shut your damn mouth, kid! You've got no idea what you're talking about!"

You chuckle. "Actually, I do. I know that there's way better money to be had in real estate. You guys don't even look all that threatening, either. Why don't you get some matching outfits or something?"

One of the gang members in the back pipes up. "I told you it was a good idea!"

The boss groans. "That's it, we don't have to listen to this crap! We warned ya, kid!"

The leader throws a kick in your direction, and you sidestep it and grasp his leg before he can retract it. You take your kunai and stab it into his calf, before yanking it back out and letting go of his leg. The leader yelps, reaches down and holds his injury. "Shit! Beat these punks into the dirt!!"

He stands up, and two of the gang members go for you and Ai. The other two go for Kichiro. The injured one is staying where he is. What do you do?

You were just about to look up and give Kichiro the command to use his fire jutsu on the two approaching him, but when you do, you can see that he's already forming the handseals. He inhales deeply, and holds his fingers in an O shape in front of his mouth. When he begins to blow, his chakra ignites the air and creates a blaze. A wall of fire races down the ally and slams into the two who had been charging at him a moment before, and send them crashing back into the injured member of the group. The two who were getting ready to fight you and Ai look at the destruction, and see Kichiro laughing like a devil in front of the flames.

The two laying on the ground have all of their hair burnt off, and are smoking. They don't have any serious burns, but you're sure that they're in a great deal of pain.

The two remaining gang members start sprinting down the ally, and Kichiro lets the pass. He crosses his arms and chuckles as he walks over to the both of you. "Hehehe, I love that jutsu. Can't go wrong with a little wanton destruction."

The injured gang member is hopping away, leaving his two friends. You turn. "Well, I guess we should let Sensei know that we've taken care of things."

You try to open the door, but, it's locked. "Huh?? The door won't open!"

Ai turns and looks at it. "Perhaps we should simply wait for Sensei to return to us. After all, he did not say that there would only be one group trying to attack the bar. We should remain vigilant."

You nod. "I guess. Let's all resume our positions, then."

The three of you get into your formation and resume the guard. It's probably an hour before anything of note happens, and just like Kichiro, you had nearly fallen asleep. You're suddenly awoken by Ai landing next to you, who's shaking your shoulder. "Wake up you two! We have a situation!"

You groggily stand up, and look around. "Huh!? What are you talking abou-"

When you look over the edge of the building, down the street, you can see a large posse heading your way. At the head of them is a man limping, and you've got a pretty good idea of who he is. There must be over thirty people coming to break down the door of the bar. What do you do?

>A. Meet them in the street.

You look over at your team, and you quickly explain your plan. Ai and Kichiro look at you with confusion, and nods quietly.

Kichiro looked the most surprised. You suspect that he was wondering what he would do if the group decided to attack them all at once. "That could work. I have an explosive tag or two that we can use."

Ai nodded. "I have wire. We both have kunai. You have your fireball if it doesn't work out. Even then, with the explosion, our sensei will surely come outside and join us."

You smile. "Let's get started then. You guys hold off, and I'll be right back with them."

Your team nods. You form a handsign for The Clone jutsu, and focus. You've never created clones of other people before. Your control over your chakra seems slightly higher than you remember, possibly a side effect of learning a Genjutsu. You create two clones, one of Ai and one of Kichiro. They're mirror images, and the Jutsu costed slightly less Chakra than normal as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRW-docvWxA

You leap off of the roof, and land in front of the group before they reach the ally. You smirk, drawing your kunai, and tossing it into the ground with the illusions of Ai and Kichiro, who are also smugly looking on. The kunai you launched sails past the head of the man who you stabbed, as he ducks out of the way. It strikes someone in the crowd on the arm, and they yell out in anger. "Arggh! Get those punks!"

You laugh. "You idiots! You'll never be able to catch us! We're untouchable! You should just quit right now and go home!"

The group charges you, and you and your clones take off down the city and split up, taking various paths. After a short while you lead them back into a single group. You take off back to the ally, and you three leap up onto the buildings. You disperse the clones, and look in the ally.

The front of it is filled with wires, and you can see several explosive tags concealed. You're sure there are kunai hanging by a wire ready to swing down, too.

You leap down and join Ai and Kichiro by the doorway, and wait for the destruction. Soon enough, the gang rounds the corner, and the first of them that charge into the ally get the worst of it. Thankfully the explosive tags are set far away from the bar door.

The moment that the first one trips a wire, the tags start to burn. The gang persists on, not realizing what they've done. As they do, they trip more wires, and kunai come flying down and piercing the front. Then the tags exploded, launching the group back from the entrance and back into the road. The ones at the front had escaped the blast, but been penetrated by kunai.

Seconds later, your sensei opens the door. He walks out, a shotglass filled with liquor in his hands. He looks drunk.

You smile, and rub the back of your head. "We protected the bar like you told us to. You should have seen it, it was awesome!"

Surprisingly, your team mates behind you both laugh as well, even Ai. Your sensei looks down at the three of you with shock, and back up at the destruction in the street. Most of the gang is getting up and walking away, although a few of them are knocked out.
Suddenly he puts on a serious face. "This will not stand."

The three of you straighten up, for fear of angering him. You prepare to explain yourself when he suddenly turns around, goes back inside, and brings out an old, bald man with him. He's carrying him by the shirt. "Alright mister, explain yourself! You didn't say an army would come and attack my Genin!!" The man is struggling to hold on, and shaking. "Y-you took on the job! I told you thugs were after me!"

The old man looks at the ally. "But it seems like you've successfully protected the bar anyways, eh kids?"

You smile once again. Suddenly, your sensei shakes the man. "Yeah, exactly! They way outpreform what they were getting paid to do! You better cough up some extra do for work of /this/ quality!"

The man tries to break free of your sensei's grasp. "Alright alright! Fine! It's worth it anyway, now put me down, damnit!"

Moments later, he comes out, and starts handing out cash to all of you. You each get roughly 10,000 Ryu! The bills are 1,000 each. You notice your sensei takes 15 bills.

He walks away, stepping over some unconscious thugs. "Alright everyone, let's head back to the village!"

You and the rest of your team soon arrive at the village gates. You're in good spirits, having acquired a large paycheck for one days work. You quietly think to yourself that you won't be able to see to your sensei in the same light now. You think that you've gotten a taste for why he might be looked down upon by other Jounin.

Although this makes you believe he's very irresponsible, it also tells you that he must be very skilled to be a Jounin at all. If he's this chaotic, how good of a soldier must he be?

Or maybe his father is just in an important family, and that's why he has his position?

You're unsure. Either way, you're positive that he's an interesting character. You also feel a bit closer to your two team mates, having saved the day.

Now that you've returned to the village, your sensei is a little more sober now. He turns to you as you all approach. "Great work today, everyone! I think this was a successful first mission for our squad!"

Kichiro pipes up. "You didn't do anything! You just got drunk all day!"

Hanto smiles, and gives him a thumbs up. "Nonsense, I got us paid! I'll see you tomorrow, late afternoon. Meet me at the village gate. I want to do a special exercise.

Your squad nods. "Yes, sensei." He leaves.

You still have enough time to do one more thing. Where do you want to go?

You decide to head to the training field, after saying goodbye to your team. When you draw near to it, you can hear the sounds of rushing water. As you round the trees, you can clearly see that a young man is practicing water style jutsu. When you see him, you recognize that it's your classmate, Rokuro. Rokuro is of an average build, with dark tan skin, and shaggy brown hair that falls forward over his face, just above his eyes. He's practicing his technique, apparently. He may have somewhat of an elitist attitude, but you know he's a shinobi that knows the value of hard work.

He waves as he spots you, stopping his jutsu. What do you?

>A. Approach and say hello. Tell him you've come to train with your weapons.

You nod. "Yeah, that's the idea. Kunai and Shuriken are so much larger that it's hard to hit exactly where I want. Even then, I don't know too much about the exact places to hit."

He crosses his arms. "The only places I know are the obvious ones. Why don't you try hitting those first? Eyes, throat, genitals."

You nod. "Sounds like a plan. I'll set some targets up and I'll get started. Hope I'm not getting in the way!"

He smiles. "Wait a second, I have an idea. I know a jutsu that can help you to train. Watch."

He walks over to the pond, and begins to preform a few handseals. Slowly, four bodies of water raise out of the pond and come to the shore, and transform into exact copies of Rokuro. He smiles. "They're water clones. They've actually got substance to them. I'll have them dodge around, and you try and hit their weak points. Sound good?"

You nod. "Let's get started."
>>
Miniseries is kill
>>
>>42081340
The clones start running, and you draw your senbon from your pouch. You can throw about three of them at a time with poor accuracy currently. You toss your weapons at the moving targets, having some difficulty adjusting to the drawing them quick enough. You move around the training field and retrieve your old senbon that are sticking out of the ground to throw again, and this helps you become more competent in handling them.

Soon enough, you start to strike the moving targets with 3 pinpoints in the forehead, although sometimes you only hit with two, or hit the chest instead. Sometimes only one of your needles strikes a vital area like the heart or lung, but now you're positive that you can hit a standing target's vital points with ease. You've become competent at handling and throwing senbon. These are particularly useful for ambushes. To advance you must learn some basic anatomy, to be able to target physical weak points in the body.

That's all for tonight folks. Great job, hope everyone had fun. As usual I'll be sticking around to answer questions.

There are quite a few Genin out there that would probably wreck you in a straight fight. So far, everyone you've met has some sort of special skill.
