Glancing down, you frown, you've come a long way up, your clanmates still down by the ground looking tiny from this height, but you press on regardless, reaching the highest point of the tree, shifting around the narrower part of the trunk to where the matriarch's nest lies.

The matriarch's nest is scattered with shiny trinkets, ranging from the worthless to the valuable, the matriarch herself curled up in a corner, her body obscured within her thick feathery wings.

Grinning, you take a step forward, carefully balancing yourself on the branches, just barely supporting your impressive weight. Lining up your net, you toss it over the sleeping harpy, snagging her within. She shrieks as she awakens, all hell breaking loose as your clanmates start to snag their own captives.

Despite her efforts though, the matriarch seems to be well and truly stuck within the net, her struggling only serving to bind her tighter. You take a moment to get a better look at her now that her wings no longer obscure her. Like Koz'rak's slave, her arms are great feathery wings, though these harpies seem to have wings of blue and yellow rather than the more subdued shade of the breed from the howling mountains. Her legs end in vicious clawed feet, which scrabble at the netting, unable to get a good grip to tear her way free. Her body is lighter shade than the elves, though still tanned compared to the northern harpies, her features refined and delicate despite her more curvaceous, womanly body.

You grab hold of the struggling harpy, gagging her through the netting with a length of cloth as she writhes and twists in your grasp, her soft body feeling quite pleasant against you as she tries to break free. With the gag in place, you sling her over your back, starting the long climb back down the branches.

It's anarchy out on the tree, the silence of the night shattered by countless shrieking voices mixing with the roars of your clanmates. Many more harpies are strung up in nets, but the rest have taken to the air, or to other branches which are harder to reach, and have started fighting back against your warriors.

“Gag the captives, they can't use their magic that way,” you shout out, just barely audible over the cacophany, but at least some of your clanmates heard you, and get to work silencing their captives.

You're around halfway down when you see a flash of blue, ducking just barely in time to avoid a set of sharp talons raking over your face, the harpy pushing off against the tree as she circles around for another attack. There's no way you can use your greataxe right now, not with one hand still holding the harpy matriarch, you could just try to dodge the attacks and push for the bottom, or do something about your attacker.

You sneer up the harpy where she sits perched on the tree branch, gesturing to the fallen matriarch.

“Are you coming down here to stop me, or would you rather sit there and watch while I fuck your leader,” you shout.

You don't know if she can even understand you, but your tone must've gotten across your intentions pretty well, as the harpy shrieks, swooping down from the branch towards you, sweeping up at the last moment to try and rake at your face once more.

This time however, you are ready for her, and as the claws draw closer, you duck to the side, seizing hold of her leg and pulling her to the ground. The harpy shrieks as you throw a net over her prone form, becoming more and more tangled as she struggles to break free.

Smirking at the captive harpy, you look up to the rest of the fight. The raid is going well, by the looks of it, but the harpies are starting to regroup, and you see several of your warriors getting cut off from the group in the higher branches. You need something to turn the tide, and you think you have just the thing for it.

Pulling the spiral shell from the pouch at your belt, you utter the strange, moaning command words once more, thankful for the noise around you drowning out the embarrassing sounds. With a snap of displaced air, Rik pops into being, crushing the undergrowth beneath his massive form.

“Rik, help my clanmates down from the tree, and grab any harpies you can, don't hurt them though,” you call, the seamonster staring at you with one massive, round eye as its tentacles start to wriggle, stretching out into the air and snaking along the trunk of the tree.

The massive seamonster has quite some reach on his tentacles, and the harpy counterattack quickly collapses as the first few are snagged in Rik's tentacles, their claws and teeth doing little good against your summoned pet's rubbery hide.

With the attack broken, the remaining harpies scatter into the canopy, out of your reach, leaving behind only the angry and panicked shrieking of their captive kin. You hear a few unnerved noises from your own clanmates as Rik starts helping them down from the tree with his free tentacles. While he understood the concept of not hurting them, he seems less clear on the best way to hold an orc, and more than one of your warriors finds himself dangling by his ankles as he's gently lowered to the ground.

“Looks like we're done,” Dru'ak grunts, trudging up next to you, a couple of struggling nets slung over his shoulder housing their harpy cargo.

“How'd we do?”

“Lost one of our warriors, and another few got injured, but it went well,” he grunts, looking around.

A quick count of your captives brings the total to 36 harpies, not a bad number, especially considering that you got the good ones first. Sho'ka and K'zala are both eager to show you their own captives, both having caught one of the finer specimens from the higher branches, while Sho'ka also snagged one of the lower branch harpies once the fight started.

You turn your attention to your own prizes, the harpy matriarch, her body full and womanly despite her youthful features, her feathered wings sleek and shiny, there's no doubt that she's a fine specimen. Dru'ak reappears a short while later, carrying two harpies, one a larger female, hips wide and chest heavy, you can't imagine she finds flying all that easy with all the weight on her front, but your old friend's choice is hardly a surprise. The other must be meant for Zo'rok, while none of the harpies are exactly muscular, this one is at least more toned than most, her body slim and athletic.

You spend some time discussing with Dru'ak about other orcs who excelled themselves on the raid, Dru'ak suggesting slaves for the rest of the honorguard, who fought well, as you'd expect of them, and for a few of the other orcs who did well.

Sending him to sort that out, you turn your attention to your own slaves, looks like the matriarch has finally given up on her futile struggles, though the younger one is still rolling around on the ground in her desperate attempt to break free.

You frown, this harpy's grasp of elven is worse than yours.

“It means I own you, I will mate with you whenever I want, and you will birth my whelps...”

The harpy gives another puzzled look.

“...my chicks.”

“Ah, mating, breeding, no eating?”

You frown, shaking your head. “No eating.”

“Mating now?” the matriarch chirps, twisting her body around in the net, trying to wriggle closer to you, angling her wide hips in your direction as she gives you an eager grin.

Well, that's an unexpected reaction.
