You are Sallazar, a young wizard who has recently left the army. You have taken a teaching job at Egwen Girls Convent.

In addition the Headmaster of the school wants you to run the schools adventurers club, to give some of the schools more unusual girls something fun to do.

After playing hide-and-seek for what seems like hours with Calluna, the dream eventually ends.

You wake up in the chair, Phaysis is snoring away in her bed, Calluna is...curled up in your lap, her tentacles wrapped around you, her eyes closed, her thumb stuck in her mouth and her breathing even.

Seeing her at peace, utterly vulnerable, you wonder how anyone could see her as a monster, she looks perfectly fine to you.

You pick her up and carry her back to her own bed, though unwrapping all of her tentacles from you takes some time.

She wakes just as you're tucking her in.

“Professor...?” She says sleepily, opening her eyes.

“Yes its me” you say “go to sleep Calluna.”

“Did you find out what you need?” she asks. Huh, you'll need to question her in the morning, see what she remembers.

“I did yes” you say “thank you for helping.”

“Welcome” she say, her eyes closing as she adds “I don't remember my dad but I hope he's like you/”

“Goodnight Calluna” you say fondly.

“Goodnight dad” she says, her voice trailing off into a snore.
>>
With your work done tonight you are ready to head back to your own room, but...that chair was pretty comfy, and its right there...and you really should keep watch on both girls...maybe just for a few minutes...

You wake up with someone peeling your eyelid back. Before you is an inhuman horror from the nightmares of mortal men.

“Good morning Calluna” you yawn. Judging by the light, its morning, asnd you might have missed breakfast.

“Good morning Professor!” she says “look, I bought you breakfast in um, chair?”

On the side table next to you is a tray with fried sausages, bread, bacon and eggs.

Calluna is up and dressed, both beds are made...for a given value of 'made' and Phaysis is nowhere in sight.

“So what did you find in my head?” asks Calluna “was there lots of room for stuff in there?”

Calluna digs into her own breakfast, a stack of pancakes, and you tell her what you discovered last night, and how you think you can help Nevyn. Calluna remembers none of what happened in her dream, and claims to have no idea of how she knew about the history of the Displacer-Beasts.

“That's really interesting!” says Calluna, seemingly not bothered by the idea of strange gods in her head 'advising' her. “Do you think Nevyn will want to be my pet?” and then she drinks an entire jug of syrup as you think about the answer to that one.

“I don't think its right to turn people into pets” you say. Now turning them into familiars to save their life, well that's another matter....

“Not all the time!” she says, rolling her eyes so hard they start climbing up her head “I mean like, if the displacer-beasts emperors were made as pets for someone in my family then if she can't control herself when she transforms maybe I could be there to help or something.”

Sure you think, and maybe if the obedience instinct or whatever kicks in is too strong, Nevyn might not have a choice about being Callunas pet.

“I'll talk to Nevyn” you say “before we do anything.”
>>
You continue to talk to Calluna over breakfast, her thought processes are much easier to follow, and she just seems less weird. Even when Mr Pogustus turns up you're not bothered, her pet is just being protective of her, and it doesn't look so unusual any more.

With what you have discovered, you might be able to bring Nevyn to her full powers, and also do so safely. Nevyn seemed to be willing to give it a try. You just need some source of magic that she can use to fuel her growth.

After breakfast you head up to see the Headmaster, bringing him up to speed on your progress so far. He hasn't found out much about Tisanias father – just lots of possible leads that he will be narrowing down. He does point out a few sites of wild magic in the nearby hills that could help Nevyn, if you wanted to help her become and Empress Displacer-Beast.

Nataline also mentioned Priests of Yselm being involved in creating Soulbound, perhaps Sister Mary knows more about that.

Ugh you have so much to do in between lessons, fortunately you have some free time this afternoon.

So, what do you do?

The Priests of Yselm being involved with Nataline becoming Soulbound, or rather, whoever was supposed to be the host, now that's unusual. The Churches disapproved of Soulbound to varying degrees, and Yselms church was very hardline.

That afternoon you catch up to Sister Mary in the library, studying...quilting patterns? Well, everyone has to have a hobby. Maybe you need to find one someday.

You take a seat next to her and wait patiently as she copies a diagram from the book.

“If you need help because you've summoned some unspeakable horror from another plane, go away” she says grumpily “I've had my quota of fun this week, thanks to the so-called Headmaster.”

“That's not why I wanted to talk to you” you say “but since you mention it, what happened-”

“Go ask him!” she responds.

Ok...

“During the Last War” you say “The Churches were all pretty much against the existence of the Soulbound, but do you think any might have made one in secret?”

“Hah, the Dark Three maybe” she says, putting down her quill “The Marosians are all about rules, the Gatrusians hold free will too highly, and Our Lady actually cares about people. Why do you ask?”

“I was speaking to Nataline about how she became Soulbound” you say “and although just a child, she recalls seeing...”

You don't tell her everything, but enough so that by the end of it she is glaring at you pretty fiercely.

“I'd like” she says, growling “to think this is a joke, but even you're not that stupid. I'd also like to think the child is mistaken. Still, thank you for bringing this to my attention, I will make enquiries. If a follower of the Lady was involved I'm going to-” She breaks off before adding “was that all?”

“No” you say, refusing to be cowed “if you find out anything that might help Nataline, I'd like to know.”
>>
>>41907840
Pretty sure Tellia is a fighter, not a rogue.
If she was a rogue, holy shit she sucks balls, in both senses of the meaning.
>>
“Fine!” she snaps, standing up abruptly and slamming her books shut. You don't think she was involved...but maybe she's just a good actress. Sister Mary stalks out of the library.

Its mid-afternoon on Threeday.

You find Nevyn just as she's coming out of class, once you're away from the press of teenage girls filling the busy corridors she asks “so did you find out, I mean, is it possible?”

“It is” you say “in fact I was going to ask you if you wanted to-” Hmm, there's something different about this girl...

“Nevyn” you ask “why do you have a tail and cat ears?”

Her eyes flick upwards, and she sighs, her arms full of books. Closing her eyes she breathes deeply for a few moments.

The large purple cat ears and long purple furry tail slow shrink into her body.

“Ever since my last match” she says “the ears and the tail hang around, I have to concentrate to keep them hidden, or else they just kinda pop out again. It's really annoying.”

“But your other ears” you say “why don't they...”

“I don't know Professor” she says “I'm just a teenage girl in school, if only there was some person who could tell me why I get four ears instead of just having two, some sort of expert in magic, a Professor of magic if you will, who could-”

“Yes thank you, point taken” you say. Wow, for a girl who usually lets the others do all the talking, she certainly has a lot to say...

“Anyway” you say, the two of you taking one of the quieter corridors back to her dorm, where she is going to dump her books before going running with Phaysis “Last night, Phaysis and I-”

“She told me” she says

“And we discovered-” you try to explain

“Told me that too” She huffs

“And so all we'd need is-” you get cut off again

“I know!” she pulls a face

“Excellent” you say with a serious expression “I'll get the vat of butter and the pear, you go catch the mice and find some rope and a gag.”

“Wait what?!” Nevyn stops in her tracks, staring at you in shock.

You can't help it, you start grinning.

“Professor!” she gives an indignant whine.
>>
“So, as I was saying” you say “I'm ready to help you do this...if you want to. Calluna has offered to help, and she'll probably help keep you safe but...”

“But I could end up with some serious attachment issues” says Nevyn “yeah.”

“The other variable is the source of magic” you say “there are some wild patches of magic in the hills, that's close enough that we could go tonight, and it doesn't cost anything. But they don't call it 'wild' magic for nothing.”

“Right” she says “option 2?”

“Sorcerers also gain power by absorbing magic” you say. Unlike, y'know, actually working hard for their power and not cheating “so the guild has various ways of storing magic, crystals, brass jars and the like, I could order one, would be a few days, plus I'd need to charge it, that would take...well maybe not that long if the club helps, a few weeks maybe, and then we can try it under controlled conditions in a lab.”

“But if it doesn't work” says Nevyn “we don't have that long afterwards before my new 'owner' is here with a collar and a leash for me to wear.”

“That's not going to happen” you say, not if you can help it.

“I dunno, you hear stories about lonely old wizards...” She says, giving you a sideways grin.

Was that a crack about your age?

“Anyway” you say “fast and more dangerous or-”

“Slow and still dangerous” she says “I say fast, but you're the expert, and Calluna can come, but I want Phaysis there too, if that's allowed.”

“I don't see why not” you say “but, why?”

“If Calluna gets in my head” says Nevyn “I want a friend nearby.”

Well, that sounds reasonable, unless, if Nevyn goes feral and attack people that's one extra person to worry about.

As Nevyn said, you're the expert, so what's the plan?

When/what?

>Head for wild magic in the hills
>Magic storage device
>Find another source (delay until one is found)
>Other (what?)

Who? (in addition to you and Nevyn)

If we can't know how much Reservoir is needed it would be kinda wasted. Though I have to wonder how we want to use the other storages then, who have literally the same issue.

The other options hold much more arcane energy than Safire (currently) can.

But I'll conceded that no, you don't know if they will be enough either.

Mostly Sallazar is guessing and hoping.

The question would be how much they can hold, so we would now how much Safire would need to be equal to that,
>>
>>41908402
The wild magic areas hold the equivelent of several hundred points of arcane energy, depending upon the size/power of the place.

The guilds containers come in varying sizes, able to holds tens, hundreds, or even thousands of points of arcane energy.

“Well I am, as you say, the expert” you respond “So I think we should...do everything your way.”

Nevyn gives you suspicious look “you're just messing with me.”

“No no” you say “you must have been paying attention in class, you picked the perfect answer. Pounced on it even.”

“Now I know you're making fun of me” she says, a dangerous look in her eye.

“Oh don't be so catty” you say.

XXX

Later, you, Nevyn, Phaysis and Calluna are headed far up into the hills. The claw marks have mostly healed, and only itch a bit now.

“Why can't we teleport 'all' the way?” huffs Calluna, trying to keep pace with you all “why do we have to walk so far?”

“Because” you say, looking around “we needed to pick up a few options, I don't actually 'know' how much energy Nevyn is going to need to do this. Too little and it won't work, too much and it could have complications.” explosive ones.

“There” you say, pointing at a grove of twisted and warped trees “there's one, now we just need to wander around until we find another seventeen, for a statistically even mix of relative power and types and-”

Callunas collapses on a rock “seventeen?!” she cries out “we need to walk for another thirty four miles?” You need to work on her endurance training.

“If you really need to” says Phaysis, in her centaur form “I guess I could let you ride me, just this once.” She doesn't look happy about it, more nervous?

You chuckle “no need” you say “that's the fourth site we've found, four is enough.”

Calluna glares at you as Nevyn asks “so which one are we going to use?” she asks.

“First” you say “what can you tell me about wild magic zones?”

Calluna and Nevyn groan, Phaysis answers “Wild magic zones are areas with a high ambient magical energy, most were caused by mages or Soulbound with arcane abilities in the Last War.”
>>
“Teachers pet” grumbles Nevyn as you say “well done Phaysis, exactly right, many wild magic zones are also attuned to certain types of magical energy, or schools of magic.

“Those we've seen today are as follows.” you list them off

“That grove of trees ahead, its of medium strength compared to the others, but it seems to be strongly Transmutation rather than any other school.”

“The lake we passed a while back was also of medium strength, but not of any particular type.”

“The burned and cracked boulder was the strongest, and was definitely Evocation.”

“And the weakest was the remains of the tower” you finish “I think that one predates the Last War by a few centuries, and I 'think' its Divination, but its hard to tell.”

“Ok, so which one-” Nevyn breaks off when you turn to her “what, you want me to choose?”

“You should” you say “this affects you more than anyone”.

Nevyn looks thoughtful “So a weak one might not work, a strong one might hurt me.”

“Or give you stronger powers” you say

“Or give me stronger powers” says Nevyn “and those with a school of magic?”

“Might give you something from that school” you sat “transmutation might give you better control of your shapeshifting powers, divination might give you keener senses, evocation might-”

“Let her breathe fire?” asks Calluna.

“Maybe” you say.

As Nevyn is lost in thought, Calluna lobbies her choice “Evocation, go for that one.”

“Really the lake is the best” says Phaysis “its safest I think.”

Nevyn says “I know this is my choice and all, but what do you advise Sir?” Her earlier snarkiness is gone, and she gives you a sort of lost-kitten look...complete with cat ears.

Not so much maximum power as highest odds of success and of things going wrong. The rush has to die down anyway or she straight-up dies.

Fireballs are a way weaker attack option for Nevyn than just attacking due to her abilities.

“Well as Phaysis said” you say “a medium-strength one should be fairly safe, whilst not wasting time.”

“No fire breath?” asks Calluna feebly

“Ok” says Nevyn “so uh, which one, the grove or the lake?”

“That's an important choice” you say “for you.”

Nevyn gives a look “ok, thanks a lot teach.”

You quit the teasing “It really is though” you say “they're the safer options whilst still having a good chance of success, and transmutation powers might be useful, or just annoying.”

“Annoying how?” asks Phaysis. You consider giving Chame as an example.

“Just, that there's no way to know what you'd get” you say lamely.

“You might get more control over your ears” says Phaysis

“Or you might be able to grow tentacles” says Calluna “and they're really useful!”

Nevyn screws up her face “um.....ok, Grove it is!” and she starts striding towards the grove. As you all head after her she falters slightly “how does this work again?”

“Well the only think I could really think of is to take you through a new sorcerers exercises for gaining power” you say, as you follow Nevyn into the twisted, mutated grove “yes, this looks like the centre, ok, sit down, close your eyes, and breathe deeply...”

XXX

You take Nevyn through a series of mental exercises designed to open her to the arcane power around her.

For almost an hour, as the sun is setting, you go over the same exercises again and again. Well, with some variations.

“This isn't working, I can feel the energy of this place sticking to me, but nothing is happening” says Nevyn, hanging upside down from a tree branch, Calluna is hanging there alongside her, for solidarity.

“Keep trying” you say patiently.

She gives a moan of frustration and closes her eyes. Then she twitches, and her eyes snap open “Professor....”

Is it working?” you ask.

Nevyn quickly scrambles down from the branch “I think it is but....nnnngh!” she doubles over, you rush to her side “it's ok, let the power flow through you and-”

>>
“Nnnnot that” she grunts out “I can smell something, I think I can control this Sir, I think but....there's something coming!”

“What, what's coming?” you ask

A deep bellow of rage from somewhere in the grove answers you.

“This Oxims place!” a deep, troll-like voice yells. Yeah, checking to see if this place was inhabited, that would have been a good idea you think.

At your side, Nevyn is squirming around on the floor, as her body keeps changing shape...even as space ripples around her.

“Uh Sir?” asks Phaysis “what do we do?”

“We fight!” says Calluna, brandishing a shortsword and throwing a spear to Phaysis.

“Where were you hiding those?” Phaysis asks

“The space within” says Calluna, yes, that makes sense in fact you could make a magic item that-

You shake your head to clear it. At the same time, across from the clearing you're in, a huge stinking humanoid figure bursts out of the trees and pauses, before lumbering towards you.

It is around ten feet tall, has two heads, four arms, long claws and several vines and branches growing from its body.

“Leave!” it bellows at you. You'd love to, but moving Nevyn now would be a bad idea.

Trying to talk the troll down is a little dumb.

There's a good chance that the reason he lives here is because it's a place of power, and the reason he got pissed and charged here is because he can sense Nevyn eating it.

I'd rather just kill him outright than give him a chance to harm a daughteru, regardless of who's right or wrong in this situation. Repulsion is kinda shit at preventing, well, anything.

And stop falling for the obvious bait.
>>
>>41909838
No, the funny part is where you are actually stupid enough to thinkt he two situations were comparable or even remotly similar.
>>
You raise your spell mantle and cast another spell ensuring that the troll can't get near you.

“Stay close to me” you tell the girls, as you stay near the thrashing Nevyn, to keep her within the area of effect.

The troll rushes towards you, claws out-stretched “fine eatings” says one head, gloating, as the other rants “stop taking Oxims magic!”

The troll is thrown back when it encounters your spell, staggering but keeping its feet. Both heads look momentarily perplexed, then they both snarl, the formerly gloating head says “magics, mans magics, use grippy-tree.”

The other head gives a long deep moan....and the branches of the nearby trees quiver and twist, turning into impossibly long arms with too many claws, they reach towards you and the girls.

“Professor!” yells out Phaysis as one of the arms grabs her spear and she tries to hold onto it.

Next to her, Calluna is crouched over Nevyn, her tentacles out as she watches the tree-arms carefully.

“Wait!” you yell to the troll “we didn't know this was yours, as soon as my friend is feeling better we'll go.”

The two troll heads focus on you, as the tree-arms pause the first head says “no go, hungry, sweet man flesh.” The second adds “no steal Oxims magic!” Damn, if its living here then the magic of this place must have seemed into it, and Nevyn drawing on the place has woken it up.

You can hear a deep growl coming from Nevyn.

“Uh oh” says Calluna. You'd love to see what's going on behind you, but if you look away from this troll, it'll keep attacking.

What do you do?

I don't like that guy, but these two are debateable. We can't make it completely impossible for him to hurt them with our magic yet, just very difficult and unlikely, and it's possible something bad is currently happening that we would be more able to prevent if we had obliterated him from the start.

>>
>>41910197
PRQ works very different in a lot of ways from PoJ and ESQ. Though it might simply be because its a Alt. Material Plane sort of thing. Which makes sense if the two are connected through the Far Realm.

PoJ and ESQ could easily be within the same planar setting though, maybe even the same world in a different time for all we know

When I saw Natalines write-up first I thought she might be a Nephalem.

Well, you gave it the chance to talk it out, now it still wants to eat you.

You don't say anything further, you just cast your spell and a thin bar of green light leaps out towards the troll, hitting it in the chest.

It snarls and you can feel it...doing something, almost like its trying to counter your spell, or no, resist the transformation.

You pour power into the spell, it might be saturated in raw magic, but you are a trained wizard, discipline and skill will triumph over talent!

All this happens in less than a second, before the troll dissolves into dust. The branches around you suddenly stop moving. They still look like long arms, but are as rigid and as unmoving as regular tree branches.

You turn back to the girls “Professor look out!” yells Phaysis.

You jump to one side as a massive displacer-beast sails through the space you were just occupying.

“How do we stop her?” asks Calluna, as Nevyn, yes, it looks like Nevyn, just three times her normal size, comes running at you again. Also she looks different, but you don't have time to process the details, you're just seeing a growling mass of fur and teeth and claws.

“You stay back!” you yell to the other girls as Nevyn pounces, you throw yourself out of the way.

Nevyn disappears mid-leap, only to appear some distance away, still flying through the air. She slams into a tree trunk and falls to the ground.

Scrambling to her feet she looks around, until she spots you again and then comes running at you, all around her holes appear in the air, showing other locations in the grove, and outside it.

Of course, no control over her powers.

“How do we stop her?” repeats Calluna from behind you.
>>
A Dimensional Anchor spell would stop her from teleporting and running into trees, but she could still teleport others, or open portals, or whatever she's doing, yeah, Dimensional Lock might be the way to go, but she could just run out of the area. >>
Ok, first things first, can't let Nevyn kill herself using her own teleportation powers. As Nevyn rushes towards you, you hit her dead on with a thin beam of light that stops her from leaving this plane. Like the troll you feel a strong resistance to magic, or maybe just this type of spell, but you manage to affect her anyway.

Nevyn charges on, seemingly oblivious to what you have done, just before she gets close enough to leap she slams into the bars of a forcecage spell. She stumbles back and then lunches at you, slamming into the cage bars again. Shaking her head she starts pacing around the cage as around her small portals open and close.

“Calluna” you say, not taking your eyes from Nevyn “see if you can calm her down, maybe she'll respond to you.”

Calluna goes forwards cautiously, Nevyn watches her, growling at first, but then watching her warily. But the time Calluna is close enough to touch her, Nevyn seems calm.

As Phaysis comes up to stand next to you, Calluna tentatively touches Nevyns head, Nevyn leans into the touch slightly, you hold your breath, if she attacks now...

Calluns starts to stroke Nevyn, who starts to purr. Soon both are sat either side of the forcecage bars, Nevyns purring as Calluna strokes her, both looking relaxed.

You breathe out, finally, its over-

Nevyn twitches slightly and you start, getting ready with another spell, then Nevyn yawns, showing huge curved canine teeth, and her whole body twists and ripples.

From what you can see, Nevyn looks pretty much like any other displacer beasts except...she has six eyes, and six tentacles instead of two, her tentacles resemble Callunas more than a regular displacer beasts and her canines look longer than normal. She also has two tails, that look like they have some sort of blade or stinger on them.

“Is it safe yet?” Phaysis whispers at your side.

“Maybe” you say to her, “lets just wait for now”
>>
>>41911195
>Assuming that Calluna can cast before she's torn to pieces and Emperors have no ability that relates to teleporting prey.
No, it would be "or" obviously she doesn't even need to cast it if the Emperor doesn't have the ability to teleport others.

>>41911195
>For mortal spellcasters that aren't the space-warping servants of a great old one that have a teleportation gimmick.
If she can break through Anchor she can break through lock too.
>>
Its not long before Nevyn is lying down and breathing deeply, and then shrinking in size until she's her normal size, and humanoid in shape. She lies there in the cage, unconscious but breathing.

“Its ok now” says Calluna “its safe”.

You wait a few more minutes and then approach. Nevyn looks like her normal self, though she still has the cat ears and...two tails now, though neither looks bladed. She also has four tentacles to match Callunas.

You carefully use a spell to pick her up and take her back to the school, keeping watch over her in the infirmary for most of the night, until the Headmaster can relieve you.

XXX

The next morning Nevyn seems fine, her physical changes remain, though like her ears and tail, she can also hide her tentacles...and long fangs if she wants to, though it takes effort.

She doesn't seem particularly attached to Calluna, and when you ask Calluna to try ordering Nevyn around nothing happens, apart from a few sarcastic comments.

Nevyn will likely need time and practiseto control and master her new powers, but they are no longer activating at random.

The school nurse also advises several days bed rest for Nevyn.

XXX

At breakfast the next morning a student brings you a note that says “South-east tower, 4th floor – Sister Mary”

You think that's a part of the school where they used to teach astrology, high up and isolated.

Calluna's ability to overcome teleportation blocking effects, which the Emperor's would likely be very similar to if it has one, explicitly doesn't work on level 5 spells. Such as Dimensional Lock.

I'm assuming Shee made them because of Nataline's comment about Calluna being connected with what they are.

I think Jaggantha is more about making artificial things than organic things anyway. Or maybe Ichor, I guess. There were a lot of them in her dungeon's final room, but that might've been a Calluna thing instead of her thing, and they don't seem very Ichor-y.

>because of Nataline's comment about Calluna being connected with what they are
Yes, because they are both "creations" of Old Gods.

Calluna said they were made for someone related to her, which is a pretty awkward phrasing if she means to say it was made by her own mother.

So its in my eyes either a Jaggantha thing or a Mirror(which would be hilarious) thing.

The rules for teacher of the ocean are up. Pretty nice boost to training sessions with more ranks.

eacher of the Ocean
You gain a bonus to Fellowship checks involving those you are trying to teach, or whom you see as your students.
Higher ranks directly improve fellowship, and Sallazars ability to teach – granting more training points per session.
Teacher of the Ocean 1: You add your rank in this power to all Fellowship rolls made to command, lead, persuade or negotiate that apply to your students.
Teacher of the Ocean 2: When making a Fellowship roll to command or lead, persuade or negotiate that applies to your students the highest of the first 4 rolls are used, not the highest of 3. The fourth dice counts for number of 20’s rolls but a 1 on the fourth dice is ignored. Critical successes override critical failures.
Teacher of the Ocean 3: You count as a master teacher for any class you have and you increase your Fellowship by 1, increases from this power can exceed normal human limits. You increase training points you grant by 1 per session.
Teacher of the Ocean 4: The increase to Fellowship from this power rises to 2, if you limit yourself to training just two students at once, they double the additional training points granted by this power.
Teacher of the Ocean 5: The increase to Fellowship from this power rises to 3, the extra Training Points per session rises to 2, you count as a master teacher for any arcane spellcasting class.
Teacher of the Ocean 6: The increase to Fellowship from this power rises to 4, you can double the extra Training Points from this power when teaching up to three students at once.
Teacher of the Ocean 7: The increase to Fellowship from this power rises to 5, the extra Training Points per session rises to 3, you count as a master teacher for any spellcasting class.

Cool.
>>
>>41911796
Rank 3 is pretty sweet with all the Sorcerer girls we need to teach currently.
>>
>>41911884
Think we'd need 5 for that, since we aren't actually a Sorcerer.
>>
>>41911868

More ranks, but tier 7 is the last new thing, just bonuses otherwise.

>>41911884

Need rank 5 for Sorcerer and bard. Need rank 7 to even teach paladin or ranger or druid.

Rank 7 lets any casting class get tought, up to 3 students per session at 6 extra points per session. Or for 3 extra points for larger groups.

Rank 10 maxes at +10 fellowship too.
>>
>>41911898
Ah yes you're right, I confused class we have with class we can teach.
That actually makes rising higher in the ability pretty awkward. Since Rank 4 means basically only teaching Janrael and Safire for the bonus, so we can't really make efficient use of Rank 5.
>>
>>41911928

We're going to be better at teaching other people to use magic than we are at actually using magic. That's really kind of interesting.
>>
>>41911991

Teacher of the Ocean 8: The increase to Fellowship from this power rises to 6, you can double the extra Training Points from this power when teaching up to four students at once.
Teacher of the Ocean 9: The increase to Fellowship from this power rises to 7, the extra Training Points per session rises to 4, you count as a master teacher for any class.
Teacher of the Ocean 10: The increase to Fellowship from this power rises to 10, you can double the extra Training Points from this power when teaching up to five students at once.

The Iron is at rank 10, if doing 1 training session a week, 4 hours long, teaching 5 students average they will get 9 TP per session.

Basically 12 hours to get 27 points to unlock in a class he is teaching.

Sallazar would be able to teach 5 people to level 4 or 5 spells in a 3 month coarse of 4 hours a week. 108 TP.

Tier 9 lets us teach any class, even ones we don't have, at the master level.

Missed that. Yeah, basically Sallazar if this is leveled up can teach anything at an insane rate.

Too bad he can't take his own coarse.

Not like he could create a simulcrim to teach the coarse and he takes it.

Best not to keep Sister Mary waiting, she gets cranky.

You find her in the old Astrology observatory, looking through dusty cupboards. She abandons her search as you come in “You certainly took yuour time” she says.

You remind yourself to be polite and civil.

“I came as soon as I got your note” you say “I trust you found something out.”

Sister Mary looks..angry, but perhaps not with you.

“Some years ago” she says “several high-ranking members of the church were tried for religious crimes and exiled, their powers forfeit and the details of of the trial were sealed. So I am limited in what I can tell you.”

“What can you tell me?” you ask.

“Church doctrine was that the Soulbound were abominations” says Sister Mary “for the simple reason that so many of the elementals, demons, dragons and so on were unwilling participants, as were many of the first hosts. But clearly someone spotted an opportunity to...well, those who wanted to return a long dead god to life by way of a Soulbound asked for the Churches help for several reasons. As a church of healing, we had expertise in bring the dead back, even those long dead, and because of the...peculiarities of the deity in question, having good priests on hand in case things went wrong was deemed prudent.”

Uh-oh “Why would they want-”

“The gods of that culture were all dual deities” she said “A god of life was also a god of death, a god of peace one of war. Some of the gods managed to balance their natures, others at war with themselves. The God of Rulership, whose name is a real mouthful to pronounce was both a God of Benevolence...and of Tyranny and Destruction.”
>>
>>41912296
>his first act as god-king of man is to erect a giant monument of a wizard spanking a sorceror
>"sorcery sucks lol"
Dare I ask if the sorceror is female?
>>
“So Nataline-” you start to say, she waves you to silence “No, the plan always was to split the gods essence, I don't think Nataline has any of the darker parts, but the merchants who paid for all of this wanted two Soulbound – one with each half. I don't know what happened to the other one, the gem holding it disappeared according to the testimony of the accused. It wasn't found in their possession, perhaps the worshippers of the god took it, maybe the merchants did.”

“Now the God of Rulership always had a close relationship with his people – the ruler of the nation was typically a living host to the god anyway, and its passed from person to person with the crown, so I imagine being Soulbound was hardly a new experience for it, because Nataline is the only person I know of to survive being Soulbound as a child.”

At your curious look she says “the Soulbound were created as weapons but yes, some mad mage decided to see what effect it had on children; they died, usually going mad and mutating first – as did many of the adults. But I suppose a deity who sometimes had to inhabit a child ruler knew how to have a lighter touch, anyway, Nataline showed no great power as a young girl.”

“Why are you telling me all this” you say “if you can't tell me anything about the priests of Yselm who-”

“It's not about them!” she snaps “they were caught, tried and punished, listen! Someone took the essence of a god of tyranny and destruction and might have successfully implanted into into a host, up to ten years ago! Ten years to master their powers, and they will either want to recombine their full divine essence or eliminate their other half!”

Ah godsdammit she's right.

“So why haven't we heard anything before now?” You ask “you'd think a Soulbound like that would have made a name during the Last War”

“Yes, 'if' they were on this plane” she says. Well, there is that.
>>
“Thank you Sister Mary” you say “really, thank you for finding this out for me.”

She sniffs “I expect you to send the girl to me for regular private lessons, starting tonight, find a way to convince her. I'll do what I can so when the time comes, she can survive. I also want you to find whatever teacher you can for her other abilities. If you start making any sort of magic items for her, then I'll do what I can to help.”

That's rather imperious, and generous of her, the first you expect, the rest you don't. But maybe she feels guilty about her churches involvement.

“Now go” she says, waving you off. You remember that Fell Storms leadership vote is tonight.

You have a free period just after lunch, what would you like to do?

In keeping with his tendencies to troll his students regarding his sexual orientation, the sorcerer would be androgynous with any and all defining sex characteristics covered by clothing.

Centuries after his death scholars and scribes will still debate whether or not the Great Sallazar preferred the company of one gender over another.

After lunch you head over to the infirmary to see how Nevyn is.

Bored as it turns out.

“Sir” she begs as soon as you come in “can't I please get out of bed now?” Under the nurses orders she's confined to bed, with two half-hour supervised walks allowed each day.

Sat in the infirmary bed and wearing a white gown, Nevyn looks desperate to escape...but then she could, couldn't she? I mean, you and the Headmaster released the dimensional anchor spells this morning, with no side effects.

“I don't have anything to do” she grouses.

“I thought Phaysis was bringing you schoolwork” you say.

“Ugh, yeah, so much fun” she says, folding her arms and tentacles “can't I please go outside and run, please?”

“Well” you try to think how to tell her this is for her own good.

“No” comes the voice of the school nurse, doing something in the next room.

“See, there” you say “overruled.”

“You are such coward around women” she says.

You just smile and ask her “how are the new powers.”

“Difficult” she says, she points to a sand timer “look” she flips it over and the sand starts running down....and then back up again...then down again.”

“I can only do that for a few seconds” she says “and only small things.”

You're still stunned “did...did you just reverse time.”

“Of course” she says “that's why I used a sand timer to show you, I've been practising” she says proudly, then scowls “not like I have much else to do.”

You leave the grumpy Nevyn practising and head off to help the Headmaster chase down the leads on Tisanias father.

The Headmaster has collected hundreds of criminal reports from the crown court system, primarily about people with supernatural strength or magic who use those powers to abuse and hurt others.

So far...you have too many leads. But you dutifully spend you time chatting with him as the two of you sort through them, organise them into categories and filter out those that couldn't be a blue dragon soulbound.
>>
Still, by the time you head to your last class of the day, the two of you have narrowed it to under a hundred possibilities, which is progress of a sort.

XXX

That evening, in the club house, the final campaign speeches are being given and the club applauds. You have Nevyns absentia vote written down on parchment and folded up in your pocket. You peeked, she's voting for Kittrane.

Kittrane and Cleya will vote for themselves of course. Evrumine seems to be getting along with Kittrane, but it was only a few weeks ago that Kittrane was bullying her. Syphoebeus...might vote for Kittrane you think, and who knows who Chame will vote for. Either way, you might have to cast a deciding vote as club teacher.

As Kittrane sits down, having finished her speech, everyone turns to you.

What do you do?

While this club is about fun and growth, it's also about teamwork, respect and coordination. This is not a popularity contest, it's about who you think will be able to lead the team to victory. Whoever wins this will be the leader, which means you will, when everything has gone to hell be able to count on them to find the way to win. You need to be able to trust them nigh on completely. Just keep that in mind when you vote.
>>
>>41913231

I'm heavily tempted to support Cleya because I'm certain Kittrane will win without the support, but Cleya would be the more interesting leader. Given the groups martial leaning.

You decide to keep it short and to the point as you stand up to deliver a speech “I'm not going to waste everyone's time, I know you all want to get on with the vote, I'm just going to say that win or lose, I know you can all work together. It's not about who is your best friend, but who you believe can inspire confidence and lead you to victory, because this is a decision that will affect you for quite some time.”

And then you call the vote. One by one the girls come up with folded bits of parchment. Together you and Master Telgether count the votes.

“And the count is” you pause “four votes to two, Kittrane wins.”

The girls applaud, Syphoebeus claps her on the shoulder and Evrumine tries to hide her disappointment. Cleya smiles and claps along with the other girls.

“Speech, speech!” the girls call out. An embarrassed-looking Kittrane stands up “Yeah, um, wow, thanks for the confidence you, have, shown wow, um, yeah, thanks.” She pauses, takes a deep breath and straightens up “I've given a lot of thought to what I would do if I won, so my first act as team leader is to congratulate Cleya on her leadership in our very first dungeon...and also to nominate her as second-in-command, to lead the team in any dungeon when I can't be there!”

From the looks on some faces this was unexpected, indeed Chame half-whispers to herself “but she said Phoebe would-” and then she shuts up, giving you a shifty look. You wonder what's been going on to win this vote.

Cleya herself looks surprised but says clearly “I accept, thank you.” Syphoebeus doesn't look surprised and smiles and claps with the others.

With that done, you say “ok girls, time for practise!”

As they all split up and head off for their usual routines you notice Chame confronting...Syphoebeus?

Anlanesa and Cleya are also having an private discussion, casting glances at Chame and Phoebe.

You head over to congratulate Kittrane, and also find out what's going on. As usual Kittrane is starting with a warm-up using light weights, before moving on to the sort of weights you'd injure yourself if you tried to move.

“Congratulations” you say “I know you'll make a great leader for the team.”

“I hope so” says Kittrane as she goes through some reps “If- If I need to um, check some ideas now and then would you....”

“Of course” you say “any time, my door is always open.” You give Evrumine a smile and a nod, she's the only one nearby “ Evrumine could give us a little room, special leadership secret.”

Evrumine moves away, Kittrane gives you a curious look and you ask quietly “what's going on?”

“What do you mean Sir?” asks Kittrane, though she looks a little uncomfortable.

“Chame said something about Syphoebeus being your second in command” you say “whilst I think you made a good pick, why the surprise.”

Kittrane looks even more uncomfortable “Cleya said it was ok” she says hastily “we didn't do anything wrong.”

And yet Cleya looked surprised at being named second-in-command...

“Didn't do what wrong?” you ask, giving her a patient look. Kittrane gives you a stony face...but looks away first.

“Chame said she'd vote for me” she said “as long as I named Syphoebeus as my second in command.”

“Go on” you say

“I don't know why” she says “but I thought maybe she was playing games...so I asked Phoebe if she wanted to be second, she said no, so then I went to Cleya, and told her. Cleya came back to me later and said to accept Chames deal. Which is weird, so I picked who I thought was best for the job” she gives you a defiant look “well, is that it, am I off the team now?”

Chame does love her games, but what was she trying to do? Set the two girls up together? And why didn't Cleya bring it to you?
>>
You look around, Cleya is looking rather, well not angry, but getting that way, Anlanesa seems like she's trying to reassure her.

B-but muh intrigue!

Well, there comes a time in every quest when the playerbase decides to go full retard and push the MC into choices that make him look exactly as pathetic as some of the people playing him. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, Pally.
>>
First you reassure Kittrane “I don't see that you did anything wrong, you spoke to everyone this could affect, and then make the choice you thought was right for the team.” She could have just picked Cleya to spite Chame too but...whatever the reasons, Cleya will be a good second in command.

Kittrane nods “yeah that was, I mean, that was the point.”

“Phoebe, Cleya, a word please.” you motion them over.

Both of them come over, Phoebe looks resigned, Cleya still working up to getting angry.

Anlanesa looks worried, as does Chame.

As they come over you tell them what Kittrane has told you, and watch their reactions.

Phoebe speaks first “yes that's what happened, but I couldn't say why, I told Kittrane that if I wanted to be second, or even leader, I'd make it clear, and that if she picked me, I'd do the best I could, but I didn't want to yet, plus I've still got lots of stuff to do with the airship club” she gives you a significant look. Ah yes you recall that you promised them a ride in an airship.

Ok, so no new information there.

“Cleya?” you ask her

Cleya gives Kittrane an irritated look, leaving Kittrane looking baffled “I didn't want Chame to have anything to hold over either one of us, so I told Kittrane to take the deal anyway.”

That doesn't sound like the full truth.

“Do you think Kittrane did anything wrong?” you ask casually

“Other than making a deal behind my back to make me second you mean?” she glares at Kittrane

“Woah, what deal?” Kittrane says “I picked you because you'd be good at it!”

“If only that was so!” says Cleya “I know Anlanesa spoke to you about this, I know she got you to pick me to get back at-” She cuts off, giving you a nervous look.
>>
Kittrane explodes (verbally) “I only picked you because I thought you wanted it, and because you're smart and you are great at organising and details and all the other stuff I forget, but if you don't want it, fine!” and then adds as an afterthought “and I never spoke to Anlanesa about it.”

Now the whole club is staring...and Chame is nowhere in sight.

How can you say no to this face?
>>
>>41915783
This is as disgusting as the picture is tiny.
>>
The one person that seems to be at the centre of this is nowhere to be seen. If that's not a huge clue, you don't know what is.

“Chame” you say to the room at large “time to come out of hiding.”

You all look around to see what object Chame is disguised as...but nothing happens, you sigh and cast True Seeing.

But Chame is nowhere in the room.

“Ok everyone back to practise” you tell the others “and no talking about this until we know all the facts, just, keep calm for now ok?”

You head out to find Chame, from the club house you heat Taynathil declaring “Any girl with enough free time to gossip has enough free time to run twenty laps around the entire sports field!”

You'd never tell her this, but you're kinda grateful to that snobby elf bitch.

Even with your spell it takes you almost an hour to find Chame, disguised as painting in one of the classrooms.

You wander past it, pretending to be unaware its her, then you closely examine it and say “superb detail on the nose there Chame.”

There's a pause and then the painting says “I guess you're mad.”

“Not yet” you say honestly “because right now, I haven't heard for everyone, so I'm reserving judgement.”

The painting expands, until you're talking to Chame, sat on the wall and hugging herself.

“Kittrane and Phoebe are just dancing around each other” she says “time they got together, right?”

That...doesn't fit, not entirely.

“Really?” you say “you couldn't just send them notes pretending to be a secret admirer and set them up on a blind date?”

“That woulda worked a lot better” she admits.

“I'm sure Anlanesa could have delivered them for you” you say “Or Cleya?”

Chames shoulders slump “They told you huh?”

“They told me their sides” you say “but I want to hear yours” And thank you Sergeant Hetzger for teaching you that little trick...
>>
>>41915832

If it's gross why would you even try to expand it?
>>
“Anlanesa was butting in where she shouldn't have!” complains Chame “She and Ferzi hadn't been together for almost two months, she had no right to interfere!”

“I'm sure she had her reasons” you say “So you and Ferzi huh?” that's one of the girls descended from a fire elemental right? You think that's right.

Chame pulls a face “Well, y'know, Ahni turned me down, and she has a huge crush on Ferzi, so I kinda, well I wasn't thinking ok? I didn't know Ferzi and Anlanesa were still on good terms, and I certainly didn't expect Anlanesa to set Ferzi and Ahni up on a date.”

You think you're following this. Ahni is one of quieter, bookish tiefling girls. If she turned Chame down, and Chame tried to get back at her by dating a girl Ahni likes...only for that girl to go to Anlanesa for help? Advice maybe?

“So you tried to even the score with Anlanesa by....”

“Making sure Cleya didn't get team lead” says Chame “or second, yeah...”

That doesn't make a great of sense, but then, a lot of what the girls do is a mystery to you. Still, with Cleya and Anlanesa being friends...hurting Cleya is sort of getting back at Anlanesa you guess.

“Why?” you ask her “just, why?”

“I don't know!” she says “I liked Ahni ok?! And when she turned me down I got so angry and I wanted to punish her! Then it kinda snowballed...”

“And cost Cleya the election” you say.

“Am I out of the club?” asks Chame, giving you a miserable and scared look.

Now what?

She made a dumb decision BURN THE WITCH.

She did something worng, she gets punished, Thats how it works.
Its no different than punishing her for breaking into a classroom to steal test answers.
>>
>>41916253
She didn't make a dumb decision, she acted willingly malicious and was out to hurt several people because she could.
That sort of shit doesn't get away without punishment, and if Sallazar doesn't do it, the girls do it on their own and that will be worse for Chame. No one likes being a pariah. Especially not a teenage girl.
>>
>>41916286

I understand what you're saying, but that's a poor example. This isn't that severe
>>
ok, I count 12 votes

>>
>>41916309

We have done literally the exact same thing. And straight murdered a dwarf.

I'm not saying she didn't do anything wrong. I'm saying it'd be hypocritical of us to try and dole out some severe punishment for her, given the shit that we've pulled ourselves. What gives us the right to be judge, jury and executioner on this?
>>
>>41916327
I guess the chamefag will be happy he managed to samefag his waifu out of trouble.
>>
>>41916316
Its even worse, some shitty test answers don't really matter and its kostly a matter of principle, people could have come to harm because she felt like being spiteful. She is in this school so she can learn to not do this exact kind of abuse of her powers.
>>
>>41916362
I regret not adding punishment to my vote because of you.
>>
>>41916286
>Its no different than punishing her for breaking into a classroom to steal test answers.
I realy don't want to set a precedent where we police teen drama with credit loss, I'll vote no on messing with someones chance to pass their corse for messing with love lives.
>>
>>41916362
>We have done literally the exact same thing.
I'm pretty sure I would remember Sallazar impersonating someone to destroy friendships out of spite over petty bullshit.

>and dole out some severe punishment for her
You have some really warped idea of severe punishment. Severe punishment would be trhowing her out of the club. No one suggested that.
Instead people said no punishment at all, how is that supposed to be better, telling her it wasn't so bad to use her abilities to hurt people when she feels like it?
>>
>>41916392

Don't like being reminded of that little lapse in judgment, then?
>>
>>41916436
It wasn't a lapse of judgement. But Sallazar having done something wrong doesn't mean he can never again tell someone they did something wrong.
>>
>>41916400
>where we police teen drama with credit loss
Again you focuis on her bullshit reasons for it, they don't matter. At all.
WHAT she did matters, which is disrupting the club and just as she can get credits for aiding the club, she can lose them for willfully hurting it.
>>
>>41916376
I don't want to sound like an ass, but do you even female? They do this all the fucking time, it isn't a big deal.
>>
>>41916436
No, I'd still do that again, and I don't consider it a lapse in judgment. I just completely disagree with your reasoning of not doing our job because we aren't some kind of perfected moral exemplar to the point that I'd want to change my vote over it.
>>
>>41916455

It was murder, but okay.

I'd think something like that would at least give the guy enough perspective in life to realize that doling out punishment for dumb teenagers acting like dumb teenagers is petty and lame.

I mean, we have anons like this >>41916476
who are acting like Chame just got caught running a concentration camp for gnomes in her closet.
>>
>>41916477
He's right you know.

>>
>>41916477

Yes, thats obviously a reason to not punish them, its why we let serial thiefs just go after their theivery threshold is met.

God are you dumb. Girls aren't incapable of not being malicious cunts, this is just Chames shitty personality.

>>41916477

>>
>>41916477
Anon, kissing every girls ass for being a girl will not get you laid, I'm afraid I have to inform you. You cans top being a whiteknighting loser now and realise if someone does something wrong, they get punished.
Especially people that are already in a institution that exists to teach them to not do that sort of shit.
>>
>>41916507
No it's about teaching them not to do dumb shit, y'know because we're their teacher?
>>
“You need to come back and explain to everyone you dragged in to this” you say “and apologise. When I left Team Fel Storm was about to tear itself apart and Cleya seemed to think Anlanesa had bargained her into the second spot without her knowing.”

“Sorry Sir” says Chame, looking miserable “whatever punishment I get, I guess I deserved it, huh.”

“I think a public apology is punishment enough” you say “besides, you'll still need to win back your teammates trust.” Left unsaid is how low her chances are of being in this weekends dungeon, having them all in the game when feelings are still raw...not a good idea. And you'll need to spend some extra time with Cleya and Kittrane going over leadership lessons, particularly how to not let ones personal feels affect command decisions.

You escort Chame back to the clubhouse, where she can apologise to those she has hurt. You'll see that she apologises to Ferzi and Ahni later.

XXX

Thank you for playing, I hope you had fun.

She lied. People lie sometimes. Teenagers especially. I'm reasonably certain that most if not all the girls in the school will forget about it in a couple of weeks.

Frankly, if they held onto a grudge as pathologically as you seem to do, we'd probably want to have a talk with all of them about the virtues of forgiveness, and accepting others' shortcomings.
>>
>>41916609
Calm your tits waifufag, no one else wnats her don't worry.
>>
>>41916575
>And you'll need to spend some extra time with Cleya and Kittrane going over leadership lessons, particularly how to not let ones personal feels affect command decisions.

I can imagine this ending PTSD pretty easily
>>
>>41916653
>She lied.
No, she used her ability to impersonate anyone to break apart a friendship and hurt people out of petty spite.
Especially because they know how easy petty spite happens no one else will trust her anymore because she could do it anytime again.
Her power is a responisbility to not use it like this, now that people know she is willing to use it like this she will always be suspect.

Has nothing to do with a grudge on my part, its simple reality.
>>
>>41916693
>its simple reality.

People using fantastical powers to manipulate others is simple reality?

I should move to wherever the fuck you're living, sounds like a fun place.
>>
I want both sides to know that they're terrible and I hate them.
>>
>>41916653
>Frankly, if they held onto a grudge
Nothing to do with a grude, its reasonable caution to distrust the shapeshifter who is willing to fuck people over.
Because she's clearly very good at it. Especially among teenage girls reputations stick.
>>
>>41916722
>People using fantastical powers to manipulate others is simple reality?
People manipulating others and using their misplaced trust to hurt them gets people to hate you, the powers are just the means.
>>
>dat assblasted Chamefag
I want you to know you made my evening
>>
>>41916653
>She lied. People lie sometimes
Yes, and people lying on purpose to the harm of others is punishable.

I'm unsure why you're so desperate to pretend she didn't do anything wrong.
>>
>>41916575
>“I think a public apology is punishment enough
I don't see any vote on not punishing her at all. The votes where to make her go and apologise first, not to not punish her ever.
>>
>>41916855
No one is saying she didn't do anything wrong, the only argument here is the severity of the act which isn't that high. Teenagers gonna teenager, so like a reasonable authority figure we made her come clean about her bullshit.
>>
>>41916884
I didn't want to punish her more than an apology. It wouldn't do anything. In this situation, people knowing about it already bad enough.
>>
>>41916890
>the only argument here is the severity of the act which isn't that high
Still high enough to deserve punishment, and letting the team decide if they still want her in Fel Storm is a punishment perfectly appropriate to the wrong she did.

>>41916914
That doesn't really change that not punishing her at all was the minority compared to punishing her.
>>
>>41916884
I count less than half the votes as wanting punishment (of differing types).

Still, if players want, a vote can be held on punishment in another thread.
>>
>>41916939
At this point, I don't even want to punish her if there's a revote, despite having voted for it the first time, solely because a revote would mean that someone who wants to punish her is forcing it and all I want is for this topic to fucking die already.

Psychic Rebel taught us that anyone who wants a revote cannot be trusted.

Not punishing her was in the minority, even if I count the one that said later but made it clear in text he doesn't feel like punishing her.
>>
>>41917004
Decide later doesn't necessarily translate to punishment, and your seventh punishment vote was outside the voting window.
>>
>>41917023
>Decide later doesn't necessarily translate to punishment
True, but its clearly opposed to saying you will not punish her at all.
>>
>>41917046

This. Just let this debate die, its presence is tainting an otherwise enjoyable quest.

I understand the sentiment, but considering if you count that one its a tie...
>>
>>41917274
QM breaks ties.
>>
>>41917274
It specifically says "not going to punish them for this" which I took to be a vote for not punishing.

If I have misinterpreted players choice then I apologise for my error.

If a tie, then I break in favour of no punishment
>>
>>41917318
But he didn't break a tie, and there was certainly no tie if the question is not punishing at all, because one vote said ton punish her later.
>>
>>41917274
There was no clear "Not punishment" option. The apologize one felt like a lighter form of punishment (still appropriate), so I thought the deciding later was what I wanted.
>>
>>41917330
>If I have misinterpreted players choice then I apologise for my error.
I'm sure you haven't but the "make her apologize" thing also didn't convey that no punishment was ever going to happen.

I will try to make options clearer.

I ask that players raise it immediately if any of the options I post are unclear or if they are otherwise not sure what they're voting for.

I am always happy to cancel a vote and re-post if needed.
>>
>>41917377
It didn't to me when I voted for it, but its too late to change it now and I'm pretty sure the other girls will punish her harder than Sallazar could order, so I don't see the problem.

We will micro manage everything until the girls are mature and intelligent enough to manage themselves.
Because they are in school to learn exactly that.
>>
>>41917441
I haven't given too much thought to it, honestly. Calluna was a no-brainer, but Safire and Cleya are a bit harder to pin down.

Safire might like some more defensive capability, given the attempts on her life that are unlikely to cease when she leaves Egwen.

I can't recall any comments about a particular school Cleya was interested in or any schools she'd have a need for, so no real plan there yet. Maybe Transmuter.
>>
>>41917706
I disagree. Also it's late so I'm going to bed.
Good night Anons.
>>
>>41917800
I had thought Diviniation might be interesting for Cleya, because she has access to such a large variety of spells through her eye-stalks already and having high level information gathering abilities would be fitting and useful.

And I admit her being a "Seer" is funny.

Though Transmuter is another good choice if we get more useful transmutation spells with it.

Replying to this since the thread fell off seconds after I saw it yesterday.

There's an XP log at the bottom of the charsheet, and we have spent quite a bit of XP for Sallazar (40) before yesterday's purchases.

People don't often make suggestions. I like to think it's because they trust me to make intelligent purchases on their behalf. Feel free to make any suggestions for particular powers whenever you can make a part of the thread. That goes for everyone.

When people do make suggestions, I try to pay attention to them, but the only suggestions I can recall (that aren't my own previous thoughts) are for getting Teleport to (R) (not as high priority, not enough XP to do it with the other thing since it would be 15 total) and to get Wizard Magic 5 (which happened). Sometimes I override anon suggestions with things I personally consider to be higher priority, but I usually have a good reason for doing so.

I can also be really forgetful at times.

>>41917870
Divination might be good as well, if anons can utilize it. A little wary of that school and Illusion due to the quest interface, to be honest.
>>
>>41918144
>A little wary of that school and Illusion due to the quest interface, to be honest.
Fair enough, I can see your point.
>>
>>41918040
See previous post. It could be good, but it's a less blunt specialization. Worried about it being used properly.

An Evocation specialization might be worth considering, but the nature of Safire's reserves and regenerations, as well as Arcane Lens' possibilities, could make it unnecessary.

Not sure if AE from racial powers (or that one Sorcerer power) counts towards the Reserves from Specializations, though it would be exceptionally potent if it did.
>>
>>41918260
This is all very informative thanks AA
>>
>>41918260
>Worried about it being used properly.
At least illusion in difference to divination can be used blunt too, with phantasms and semi-real effects like those D&D shadow evocation spells.

My main worry with Divination would be that its all about knowing stuff in advance, which could lead to similar awkward situations as we had sometimes in PRQ, where we would have needed to be informed of things happening mid-update,

But I imagine it could also be a lot of fun, if utilized correctly.
