The last empires of Man have crumbled to dust, and barbarism has descended upon the darkened universe...

But one woman shines as a beacon of triumph - Cassiopeia, Queen of the Cosmos!

Insinuating herself into the court of the vice-lord Longorus, Cassiopeia sought to win for herself the Princess of Arabesh, held captive by the odious and vile Longorus!

Though the bounty on her safe return was enormous, none judged their lives worth the risk save Cassiopeia, and though Longorus sought to double-cross Cassiopeia and take for himself her fabled burner, he found himself outmaneuvered in the end, as Cassiopeia escaped the crumbling walls of his pleasure-palace with the princess in tow!

Cassiopeia's ancient spaceship saw them to the surface of Arabesh itself, when a cruel wind drove them to the polar ground far from the princess's home! Between the grip of cold and the jaws of Arabesh's terrible fauna, Cassiopeia nearly saw the princess's end, but her cunning and courage saw them through the night, and in the daylight came a stranger...

That is all literally one sentence.

...Barand, exiled from the very kingdom sought by Cassiopeia, riding atop a muscle-swollen prime antelelk! With welcome arms he took Cassiopeia and her prize to his home, to ready themselves for the journey ahead...

...but upon learning the princess's true nature, Barand sought to take her for his own, as power against the kingdom! Without pause, Cassiopeia soaked her burner, shorting it out and saving her life! Disarmed, Barand proved no match for Cassiopeia's fighting prowess, and thus did he find himself in the position of hostage and guide!

"You said the way would be less mountainous ahead," Cassiopeia glowers, raising her burner threateningly, though whether it will ignite again is yet unknown! "You would be wise not to lead us to trickery."

"It has been some time since I have come this way!" he laughs, careless of the burner's proximity. "Confound these chains, woman! Unbind me, that I may show you my repentance!"

"I have seen what little you have to offer," Cassiopeia remarks coolly.

"Look!" exclaims the princess. "These are the flowers of my homeland! We must be close now! Oh, you must smell them! They are renouned across the galaxy!"

Quite a few Easter Eggs in this episode, starting with Cheer Despot. Her legs are from the CMF Cheerleader, although the rest of her is a mix of various other things.

Court Wizard's head and torso are from the Lego NBA line from 2003. In a couple of shots >>41915283 and >>41915324 he has his special basketball-playing spring legs. It took me a while to find them, but I'm glad I did.

Fight Knight is mostly the CMF Boxer, although his head is different. The CMF Boxer's head has an alternate print of a black eye that was used when Beach Ranger got punched here >>41914581

Speaking of Beach Ranger, her torso and legs are the CMF Female Lifeguard.

Speaking of lifeguards, in the flashback to Beach Ranger's lifeguard school, the CMF Male Lifeguard was in the class with her. The actual CMF has a muscular torso, but I thought it would be funny if he had a gut, so I gave him the Sumo Guy torso that Polandbro gave me last month.

Finally, the lifeguard school teacher's head is Redbeard the Pirate from the classic Pirates line. I thought it would be funny for him to be teaching the class.

Thanks, anon! I don't have a lot of other athletic-themed minifigs, but I have a couple of ideas!

>>41913952
It took me way too long to figure out a way to represent Fight Knight getting hit with this spell, so in the end I just stuck a bunch of pieces to him. In retrospect, it was probably not the best idea to choose trans-dark pink as Cheer Despot's signature color, because these are the only four pieces I have in that color.

>>41918331
Thanks, anon, I really like how it turned out. I had to remove his armor to let him hold his head, but in my imagination he threw his armor off in a fit of self-battling, then put it back on to attack his teammates.

The Morbloks appeared in the land beyond, or at least the souls of some of them did, in the most recent episode of Apprentice Quest. This scuttlepede probably isn't Skednan, but one like it appeared as the mount of the witch Shala in an earlier episode of Apprentice Quest. Skednan has spines on its back, however, so this one might be a variant subspecies or a mutant or something.
