Only the Madblade and Tribeburner tribes remain unaffiliated, however the shamans inform you that it would take them longer to relocate to your village than it will take for the alliance against you to begin their attack. Your tribe is still expanding and is reaching full combat capacity and other than the farms you are well protected by the wall.

> The enemy allied tribes’ main force will arrive soon

There are giant lizard riders who are walking around near the area you’ve settled in, probably advance scouts from the Foulraider tribe. They are not attacking so you still have some time to prepare for the war if you want to or you can just keep learning magic and expanding the economic base of the tribe.

> Build something (walls around farms and some additional open land for expansion during potential seige)
>contact unaffiliated tribes (attempt an alliance or atleast understand the Blackfury tribes reasons for war)
>>
>>41849802

nice and slow today so I'll just move on ahead with this.
>>
Since the scouts are keeping their distance you have the goblins begin to cut more large blocks to use in expanding the wall at least around the farming area. The new area inside the walls with the expansions will be nearly twice times the original size of the village with most of that going to the farms. Even with your oversight the building of the wall takes far longer that normally because everyone is on watch waiting for the lizard riders to launch a surprise attack.

> Wall expansion half way completed

The shamans spend their time communicating with the unaffiliated tribes attempting to gain an alliance with them. However the Madblade tribe refuses to do so, they think that if they wait out the war that in the end they will be able to use their power to rule over the tribes themselves. The Tribeburners are surprisingly already following the enemy alliance, unsurprisingly however that is only so that during the war they will get to indiscriminately set everything on fire.

It will be likely that the two other tribes will be close by but they won’t be of much help at all it seems. With a wall surrounding the farms though you will not need to worry about a siege since your food supply will be protected.

Then you see the lizard scouts all quickly flee and shortly after a group of ten of the hovering spherical drones appear and begin to slowly scan the area.

> The enemy allied tribes’ main force is nearly within range to attack

> Fight the drones yourself
> Have the goblin squads take the drones down
> Forge squads have an idea
> Get the wall finished
> Other
>>
>>41850451
Lets hear what forge squads think and finish the wall.

Have the shamans try to talk peace with the warring tribes and ask why they want to shed blood between tribes - an act that would weaken all the tribes.
>>
>>41850451
> Get the wall finished
>listen to the forge squad idea.
> set a watch on drones, don't attack unless they act hostile.
>>
>>41850872
It really is slow. Dang. I hope more people show up soon.
>>
>>41850887

Its all good, people have work not everyone can be neets.

The forge squads will want to show off their thing by killing the drones
Do you want to stop them from doing that?
>>
>>41850945
Let them do what they want.
>>
>>41850972
Sure.
>>
“We makes giant crossbows!” the forge goblins excitedly tell you. “Big big! Shoot from top wall.”

Then they bring out a group of five small ballistae, well for the goblins they are pretty big, and drag them up onto the walls. It takes them just a few seconds to prepare them for firing once set up, and somewhat predictably the first volley mostly misses the drones. The drones begin to close on the wall but the goblins are able to reload and fire another two times and this time every shot hits a drone dead center. The sound of self-destructing drones is drowned out by the cheers of happy goblins. The forge squads assure you that they can make more of them quickly now that it is known that the ballistae work.

> 10 ballistae squads created, with two ballistae each the squads will defend the walls and take no barracks room.

With the drones destroyed and the demonstration finished you get the goblins back on task to finish the wall around the farms, the ballistae won’t work as well without a nice wall to mount them on. With the lizard scouts gone the walls are quickly finished just in time for the arrival of the enemies’ main force to arrive.

(1/2)
>>
(2/2)

You try to have the shaman’s communicate with the opposing side’s shamans but the only response they get is that the white coat humans are making them do this.

The goblins are being driven forward by those horned beasts while more of the drones float around scanning things and observing. Back behind the giant crabs you are able to spot something very big hidden by a tent. Overall from what you see the goblins are still only armed with simple bone weapons, not much of a threat for your iron clad goblins.

> Challenge the opposing side’s leader to single combat
> Get the combat squads prepared to defend the wall
> Begin firing the ballistae (Specific targets?)
> Wait for them to attack first

>Awareness bonus

A small group of Shadowkiller goblins are trying to sneak in around the wall via the lake. You’ll need to be fast to catch them.

> Go yourself (Can’t also challenge)

>>41851409
Fire ballista at Drones and horned beasts. Ask for the opposing side to convene with you in a neutral area to discuss the war, and terms of it if we cannot negotiate peace.

>>
writing for interception, firing shots, and trying to talk.
>>
While you wait for the drones and horned beasts to get a bit closer to fire on you send the all the mounted squads to deal with the Shadowkillers, they should be fast enough and it keeps them hidden from the main conflict for now.

> Squad rolls 1, 12, 13, 19, 15
One of the squads mounted on spiders can’t seem to get it together, they are panicking from being faced with war it seems. The saber-tooth tiger beasts however bolt off with amazing speed but lack your level of skill and can’t seem to track down the shadowkillers. The other two spider squads arrive at the lakeside next, one goes to support the tiger riders trying to sniff out the Shadowkillers. The other spider squad seems to remember that they are dealing with Shadowkillers so they look closely at the water purification buildings since they are the closest to the lake. The shadows of the buildings are unusually dark, so they open fire into the darkness and with the luck of their insight manage to kill the sneaking Shadowkillers who were defenseless against the poisoned bolts.

There, the targets are within range to minimize goblin casualties. You signal the ballistae squads to open fire. The massive bolts decimate the drones and then the second volley put down several of the horned beasts. Unfortunately the drones self-destruct causing mass casualties in the opposing army as shrapnel cuts into their ranks. Well that will make it harder to try and talk them down but you still try to get the other tribe’s chiefs and shamans to meet with you to negotiate peace.

“Yous cheat, no peace!” The goblins begin to chant.

“White coat humans right yous cheat!” The Darkfury chief appears and yells at you.

“Only if yous stronger than new champion we stops.” He says.

Looks like they are trying to single you out thinking that if you die they can easily take on the village’s defenses.

Well this is obviously a trap no doubt but if you face it head on and win then the display of strength could finish this war instantly. So you accept their challenge, after preparing your equipment of course.

> Weapons will now apply poison, flask swapped for mana potion, you feel energized

You have the melee squads accompany you out of the gate and form up protective ranks around it as you walk out to face whatever is in store for you.

“Good yous fight like true warrior no cheats.” The Darkfury chief says. He then signals the army to spread apart. The whole enemy army spreads apart forming a huge ring around you as the strange massive tent is slowly drug forward.

“White coat humans make this new goblin champion yous lose now.” The Darkfury chief taunts.

There is a crackling of electricity as the tent is thrown away into the air revealing a giant robot the size of a house. It has main cannon, multiple smaller guns, and even some missile pods.

“Reactor online...sensors online...weapon systems online....all functioning systems...phenomenal.” A booming robotic voice states.

I wonder if our sword can phase through things at all? It can attack incorporeal things, and it looks incorporeal itself. At the very least, lightning damage should fry parts where it hits, electronics are real sensitive.

Anyways, i vote for this, and If shit gets too heavy we can always try to use one of our unidentified magic items. Or, somehow make e robot open our lich spellbook.
>>

>Close distance and attack. Maybe get on top of it. It doesn't appear to have melee weapons.

Good thing lots of drones have been destroyed, they would have helped it somehow it seems.
>>

The sword doesn't phase through things, it just acts as being fully solid for hitting both normal and incorporeal things.

I doubt the robot will open the spellbook, but you can give it a shot if you really want to.

This robot has a clear weakness right between its front pair of legs you think as you rush to attack the thing. It responds by opening fire with its machine guns, bullets fly all around you as the shield on your back radiates its protective magic. Bullets hit you but you are like goddman superman as bullets just bounce off of you.

“Error error…target immune to standard ammunition…compensating…explosive rounds loaded…reengaging target.”

>26

But you are too fast for the robot, you get right under it and slice at one of its front legs with the intent to cripple the machine. Catching it right at the joint your sword crackles with sparks as you cleanly slice the leg off. The robot then leaps away from you with surprising grace and agility.

“Danger…target’s offensive capacity underreported…compensating…force shield activated…reengaging target.”

A blue bubble of glowing light appears around the robot protecting it from further harm, and its missile pods open and ready to fire.

Badass: Rank 6
Reginald is so incredibly good at what he does that he gains a stackable bonus to all die rolls equal to his ranks in badass.
6
Ki strike: Rank 4
The madblade tribe described a way to use your innate magical ability to hit harder and faster. Each rank in this ability increases your base damage by 1. For example if you have ignite weapon in use and two Ki strike ranks you will then hit for 3 mundane and 1 fire damage.
+4?

*Ignite weapon: Cost 1 mana
The user’s equipped weapon, or body becomes wreathed with fire. The flame is magical in nature so the user will deal fire typed magical damage. Damage is increased by 1/10 of the users ki. This effect lasts for three rounds of combat.
+2?

Strength: 20
Strength represents how strong a character is, every 10 points in strength gives +1 to all attack/damage rolls
+2
and + 1 atleast for the great sword? possibly more since it's electrical vs force field?
>>
>>41853792
So ki strike only works when we use a mana/ki related ability, like ignite weapon?
>>
>>41853907
No it applies to all your attacks, including throw things. Before you threw a knife and it tore a hole through a horned creature's chest.

How strong could its shield be, after all you chopped its leg off easily enough. You rush at it again careful to try and circle around its main cannon when it launches dozens of missiles. But just like the bullets the few that hit you explode uselessly against you, even the explosions don’t feel that hot. You know how to use fire too though so you channel your mana into your sword and release it with a blaze of fire.

> 17

You hack at the force field and it starts to flicker when the robot suddenly spins around as though it has wheels on the bottom of its legs. It then fires its main cannon right into your chest, sending you tumbling away from it. You feel your ribs start to pop back into place after the massive impact, damn that hurt.

“Magical discharge detected…compensating…elemental matrices aligned…reengaging target.”

Time to try out that new fog spell in real combat you think, hopefully you’ll still be able to still the flickering shield but it won’t be able to see you. You expand your mana into the air around you making the water condense into a thick layer of fog, releasing the spell obscures the area so the damn robot shouldn’t be able to shoot you anymore.

The robot opens with a hail of exploding bullets, which are even less effective than the missiles it tried to hit you with. And since it can apparently see you just fine in the fog you get closer for an attack. You take aim and throw your two bone knives and poison dagger at the robot.

But was he being shot by a robot while doing that? I think that makes jumping a little bit harder.
>>
You shout at the goblins I mean seriously this damn robot is obviously cheating.

“Human dumb, champion strongest.” The goblins yell back at you.

Well whatever, you can’t let the robot complete this transformation so you get a running start and try to leap over the ring of strange fluid. The robot responds by opening fire using the whips to move itself around to face you, goddamn can’t it at least turn its guns off to transform.

> 18

The robot shoots you several times with its mobility restriction rounds, it doesn’t hurt but you are now covered with some kind of sticky gel that you can’t get off. It then lines up its main cannon and fires another glob of plasma at you which makes you miss your intended target and your left boot hits the stuff. The gel is very slippery and you are unable to stand, so you throw your boot off and prepare to attack the robot.

> Your status – 6/6 hp, 6/12 mana, on fire from plasma, missing a boot
> Ignite weapon 1/3 turns remain

>Enemy status – Force field broken, electro-whips deployed, transforming and mobility restriction rounds prepared.

“Damaging foreign object detected…compensating…object expelled...transformation continuing.”

Your poison dagger drops to the ground and the robot’s main cannon shifts to the top of the machine and large spiked treads begin to from its sides.

You use your sword to cut into the robot, aiming for things that look important – its guns, the whip things, whatever these other oddly shaped bits are and so on. You think most of its systems are damaged fairly well when your final slash cuts open the side of the robot revealing a glowing orb contained by some kind of array of crystals.

“Reactor exposed…compensating…emergency shielding engaging...transformation continuing.”

Thick metal plates begin to be created from nothing and rise to cover the glowing orb reactor thing.

You channel your mana again to ignite your weapons and without really thinking about it you throw your dagger at the robot’s reactor - its fiery form cutting a crystal in half before striking the glowing orb.

“Reactor compromised…self-destruction sequence activated…target’s speed too great…compensating...T-0 seconds remain.”

Well now that is just bullshit, you don’t even have time to get to a safe distance before the entire robot explodes. A wall of light slams into you followed by the force of the explosion, you get thrown away and crash into your village’s wall.

> Your status – 2/6 hp, 5/12 mana, missing a boot

>Enemy status – self-destructed and totally destroyed

Your goblins begin to cheer and chant chief when you pull yourself out of the wall’s trench, as you climb out the skin on the side of your body facing the explosion begins to grow back with a tingling sensation. You try to say something, but it appears that your vocal cords don’t exist right now.

“Human cheat! Bonetooth cheat!” The Darkfury chief starts up a chant – oh good your ears work again at least. The crowd begins to take up the chant as your own goblins jeer back at them.

“Enough!” Yells another voice. ”Madblade and Tribeburner see challenge! No cheats!”

“Ahahahaha human on fire good show!” Someone else yells.

“Now yous fights to rule all tribe!” A goblin breaks free of the crowd and lunges at you with the Madblade’s special sword. Looks like your sword got flug away by the explosion, but you still have the Bonetooth blade strapped in place under the shield on your back and you didn’t lose your gun either.

You grab the goblin with one hand and the sword’s blade with another; you then pull the sword away from the goblin and throw him head first into the wall. Knocking him unconscious but not dead probably.

With the Madblade’s champion defeated a giant lizard walks forward.

“Now yous fight both Foulraider and Darkfury human cheat!” The foulraider chief says while the Darfury chief’s claws grow longer and jagged. It looks like you are going to have to fight everyone at this rate. The two goblins then rush towards you to attack.

“Tribeburner want more fire!” The tribeburner chief throws a flaming bottle at you.

Your whole body is feeling much better now at least.

You grab the bottle and throw it right at the lizard mount - it causes an explosion of flaming stuff to scatter about covering bother goblins and the lizard, good old molotovs. The Tribeburner chief and most of his tribe fall over laughing at this development, crazy little guys really love fire.

Covered in lacerations from shards of the bottle hitting them the goblins begin to howl in pain, the Foulraider jumps off the lizard and the pair of goblins try to roll around to put the flames out. Sadly for them so does the lizard who rolls over and crushes the goblins to death.

The Stonegut chief comes forth next, with him are the shamans from both the alliance and the unaffiliated tribes.

“Yous the strongest all tribe follow yous.” The chief announces, with the shamans supporting him it doesn’t look like there are any complainers.

>The pit’s goblin tribes are now unified.

There will be a lot of work to integrate the new goblins since they are roughly double in population compared to the Bonetooth tribe.

Meditation to ten
44 remain
If we convert the rest to stats we have a total of 20 points to dump into stuff.
Now, im interested in seeing what the 100 specials are, and luck is our closest one, and luck is always good. We COULD pump the fuck up out of it.

Or, if you feel it more appropriate, we could balance it out towards more magic and shit. Having higher intelligence will likely help us make vast jumps in technology and building techniques in our society.
>>
>>41858221

>>
>>41858501
so meditation 10

badass 6 -> 7

Ki strike 4 -> 5

for stats hows about 7 to will power, adds another spell we can prepare.
and 2 to luck. Or bank the last two. Or put into x.

>>
>>41858700

ki would be nice but not absolutely needed.
I can see dc's being abnormally high because we focus on abilities more than we should have. making things impossibly easy.
I wonder how magic is seen in the city.
>>
Alright back from food.

>>41858627
Some abilities when maxed don't unlock new things. You may require extra training or lack required knowledge to unlock things. Or there isnt anything to unlock at all.

It looks like people want to take mediation to ten. So here is what you unlock

External ki control: Rank 0
The energy permeating the universe is typically unable to be bent to a person’s will. This ability however allows manipulation of external energies. The amount of ‘external mana’ may fluctuate based on location but is roughly equal to 2 to the (rank in skill)th power. This ability has no rank limit.

Feel free to argue about how you want to spend the rest of your things.
>>
>>41858796
I think we ought to raise either intelligence to build up our city far more efficiently and prepare the goblins more effectively for the next battle, or raise our luck for the sake of having things fall in our lap a bit instead of having so many negative random events
>>
>>41858893
Yooooo! Forget ki strike we should get this up as much as we can
>>
>>41858917
I am fine with that.
an upgrade to badass leaves us with 16.
and 0 to 3 leaves us with 6 points left over.
For External Ki Control.

This should be really good.
>>
>>41858917
Why not both?
>>
>>41858917
We can get it up to five with nine points left over
Two to the fifth is 32 mana points of manipulation, extreme man

Eight points to stat meaning two extra
11 stat points to work with if we do convert the points

Anyways thats a ton of mana
>>
>>41858986
I think that External manipulation is designed for spells with fuckhuge cost, or ritual type spells.

Quicken spell: Rank 1

Empower spell: Rank MAX
This ability allows you to double the cost of a spell to receive a 50% increase in effectiveness. For four times the cost of a spell you receive 100% increase in effectiveness. You can empower a spell at most two times.

Sure lead is probably a thing that goblins manage to scavenge every now and then. If you are extra paranoid you can even secure your lead box of magic scanners safely on the end of some rope in your garbage dump / void hole nothing to scan down there.

I like that idea

Ask the new shamans exactly how the war started, and what the whitecoats did
>>
>>41860455
whitecoats cheat!
>>
I dont envy apophis, the tribe paste is gonna have to change a lot

They are all a mess already and we are not even to thread ten yet. At least I won't need to remember the ten tribe names anymore.

Has uniting the tribes done anything special, like unlock their prior intelligence or trollmorphing?

If not...perhaps its going to soon be time to finish clearing out the ruins.

We also must ask for a map of noteworthy locations in this ring.

Ok so for the madblade i was thinking about having the captain of a melee squad utilize and practice with it, except every day it gets switched to a new squad and captain to prevent the energy from building up and inspiring bloodlust, while possibly building up a tolerance to it and at the very least increasing swordsmanship

Here have a companion character sheet for your hard work. If you take your companions with you they may grow in power alongside you.

Thanks for playing everyone.

How pliable or stiff is the grey dragonscale? We could probably fashion it into underclothes, or if its too stiff then work it into either a tower shield or armor addons

very nice! Think we could possibly get gobstats?

>good gobbos, Bonetooth and Sickeater Shamens

>everyone else a shit

How badly would we have slaughtered in the war if we did it all out
>>
>>41861256
Well that Robot would probably have absolutely fucked our goblin population something fierce.

So even though we would have killed a countless number of goblins, we would have lost a lot as well.

I dunno ballista are powerful as fuck and deeply penetrate targets, all that energy transferred into a machine would seriously damage internals

Fog could have been spammed for defense

Question answers:
Since it comes from a dragon pretty stiff, able to withstand impacts from most weapons without being scratched, probably most useful to make a breastplate or shield with.

Goblin stats I’m keeping hidden because they are faceless mooks not companions.

With iron equipment, the wall, and poison the other goblins would have been massacred. I’ll let you imagine what kind of compensation the robot would have for a siege.

It had missiles and a cannon.

It could -easily- outrange the ballistae.

Plus it had a shield, and we don't know what the transformation would let it do.
>>
>>41861469
Other goblins dont know how far it could shoot i bet
They probably would deploy within range
>>
>>41861397
Hmm...six square feet is pretty big, i wager it could make both. It should be easy enough to layer onto our current equipment, stack effects and such

Is ten the max opinion someone can have of us?
Does ten mean theyd do anything and everything for us?
