The odd thing isn't really Lyra having a lot, two of Lyras companions and two of her sisters also got several Blessings. Its certainly worth asking if it is more common for monsterfolk to get Blessings.
And she as monsterfolk living near humanoids is the best to ask for a comparison.

I agree with you, it isn't really something that needs investigating. If anything, the less we know about blessings the better, if what Eiryn said was true. Otherwise knowing more about them might increase the chance of our future actions being construed as attempting to get blessings, which would lessen the chance of actually getting them.

All of the "ask people about blessings" talk really sounds like attempts to brag than anything. We have a good enough picture of what they are from the paladin guy, no need to keep asking.

I can't imagine a Blessing being given just for joining a specific unit, so I'd say any Army Spiders that earned that Blessing got transferred into that unit.

I admit, sofar I took it as given that Ruby Widow Arachne are Ruby Widows because they have the Protection blessing, just like Lyra being Tyrant Arachne comes with the Ruler blessing, or Aria being Gem-Lord because she is a Half-Lord with the Gems blessing.

Its teue that might not be necessarily the case, but I'm fairly sure it is, everything seems to point into that direction.

If it's a relatively common blessing, it could also be that only Ruby Widows were eligible to enlist for that role.

I'm not sure why you think following orders doesn't count, thats a pretty big assumptiom to make, you still choose to put yourself at risk for that other person, you could still flee or whatever. No matter any orders, you still choose to do it.

Of course, you know how to greet people. It's just a matter of hello or hi and exchanging names and the like.
The issue is that you don't know the appropriate way to greet an archduke at some sort of trade meeting/party/political whatsit.

You take a half step back, which is, essentially, 3-4 human steps back, dropping yourself behind your companions and paying close attention to how other people greet him.

Some people bow as he passes. Some people exchange words. Some people aren't greeting him?
This isn't helping.

He pulls up before the three of you- Aunt Auris gives a half bow, hand to her shoulder, and Brij offers her own hand- Which he kisses lightly before saying something in a low voice.
