>It is actually you, who is inside the skeleton
>>41809637I love the eyes. It's like he's screaming "Oh, god! What fresh hell is this?!"
Is this real?
>>41809637Are we trying to push nervous systems as undead monsters as an alternative to skeletons? If so I'm on board. If anything its scarier to deal with a magical mass of tendrils attached to a seeing brain than the clacking 30 pound pile of who cares. More so because I can see more nerve thralls being magical than skeletons.
>everyone actually sleeps in armor
>>41809637Car broke, phone yes?
>>41809637This ain't exactly news to anyone, anon.>>41810254Also yes.
>>41809637Looks like Zoidberg.
>>41810198No. The nervous system is a lie spread by atheists to destroy belief in the immortal soul.
>>41810329Came to post this.
>>41810198Yes. Take control of your skeleton shell and break free from the fleshy prison that contains you.
>>41809637No. It is still just a shell.I am the light.
>>41810198Yep, I have seen stuff like this at the Body Worlds exposition. I think that pic is actually from that.
>>41810290Stop. Do not remind of that wonderful, nightmare inducing show, or I will be sad the rest of the day. That damn final episode...
>>41810254Reminds me of Dorf Fort with the undead hair, skin and other small bits and pieces that can be reanimated.
Someone post those pages from Ava's Demon, I'm on the phone right now so I can't.

>>41810823Well that was a wild ride. I think I might have to read this entire comic now.
>>41809637Man, that exhibit was the best shit ever The fetuses were unnerving though
>>41810782I'm pretty sure that all he did was add the pulping mechanic so that those things can actually be killed, rather than just splitting forever into an unbeatable swarm of tiny undead bits.
>>41810935Ava (panicky orange girl) is looking for Macguffins, and in the course of the search blundered into a religious rally/corporate orientation. In the course of it she was, "randomly," selected to be, "improved," and then locked into the cyborg machine. Unfortunately the bitchy technician was still inside, and she berated Ava while standing in precisely the wrong spot. Ava leaned on the, "Go," button by accident, and horror ensued.
>>41810151That's why you don't piss of those who have the power to remove your nervous system entirely intact.

>>41811563Oh fuck I forgot the veins vampires from the cardiovascular system70 monsters
>>41811605The best part is that the majority of these are man-portable, aside from the Skellies and the muscle monsters.
>>41811563>nervous ghostsWell I'd be nervous too without a body!
>>41811605>70 monstersan all 70 of them can recombine themselves in horrifying new ways.
>>41811563You could probably collect hair and make some kind of scarecrow-things out of it too. Also blood and lymph could make some rad monsters.
>>4181176380A party of these undead would be interesting.
>>41811563What kind of undead one could make out of lungs? Some kind of exploding balloon-thing?
>>41811789>You could probably collect hair and make some kind of scarecrow-things out of it too. Also Tongues, Lungs or Teeth.
>>41811829A floating scout?Only attach some eyes!
>>41811789>You could probably collect hair and make some kind of scarecrow-things out of it too.No need to be rude.
>>41811853you get that buy combining the Nervous System creature with the Lungs creature.
>>41811563Make it a squad of specialist undead controlled by the soul which is in turn controlled by the necromancer
>>41811929Hmm I like this idea.
>>41811829Kamikaze unitThey fill themselves of poison, attach to an enemy and release the gas in a deadly horrible parody of a kissOr the other way around, sucking air out of another bodyOr again filling it with more air until it explodes
>>41812088Sucking air out of a body is by far the best power.Which I'm *definitely* using next session.
>>41811929No, this works perfectly in a situation where a necromancer has many souls to work with but not enough bodies, either because the villagers burn their dead to stymie his efforts or an environment where bodies decompose too fast.So instead of powering one body with one soul, he breaks up the body into 10 pieces and gives each to a different soul.
>>41810198Yes, this was made using specialised preservation/extraction techniques.
>>41811929But how would each of them move?
>>41812164I meant what form of movement would they display, the Skeleton, Digestive System and Lungs are obvious, but what about the others?
>>41811789These are all monsters you can make from the components of a single body A hair monster would be quite smallWhat about a swarm of hairy crawlers? The hair fibers rearrange in forms of worms, spiders et similia and are used to fight heavily armoured enemies, painfully and frenetically burrowing their way inside fleshy bits1 or 2 of these monsters would be a start from a normal scalpthe more you cut them the tinier and more numerous they become though>>41811763What would this thing even do?
>>41812153The nervous system ticks across the ground in a parody of bipedal motion with a thousand little feet. It sounds not unlike a horde of rats stampeding over the ground, and the upper body swivels and sways like a drunken man, a bedsheet in the wind, or a hunting serpent. The flayed skin slithers and crawls, undulating and sweeping before it coils over its prey. To cross gaps it bounds, then flutters with a dozen slipshod wings to glide as far as it can.Skeletons saunter and sprint, clacking all the while, creating their macabre percussion and creak of bone. They will bend unnaturally at the joints by going in directions the muscles used to prevent, and the bones themselves will bend like trees in a gale. Muscle bodies squeeze and stretch like a giant snail or a mass of tongues, reaching blindly and slapping wetly over the distance. They spring for sudden movement and coil in a meaty tide over and around obstacles. Including their prey. Offal goliaths are mighty serpents, slithering around in a tight braid and unleashing their full length to intimidate or strike. Their lung heads sputter and bob, and somehow this noisy squelching directs them blindly to the opponents of the necromancer, where their deadly kiss bloodies the mouth of their victims. A fully unwound pile of guts can easily bind a strong man like an endless length of rope.
>>41812291It would be a clever pun. It could probably also help around the study. Though badly because it would get lymph all over things.
>>41812197Well, since the lung can inflate and explode maybe the skeleton can use it as a grenade?
>>41809637Yeah. This is why you kill the mage first.
>>41812307that is amazing and you should feel amazing.
>>41812197Mostly just like they would do if they were still inside a body, kind of like floating organ ghostsWith the exceptions being the entrails wyrms, moving line a snake, the skin strangler, acting as a flying squirrel until an enemy approaches to be entangled and strangled and the muscles blob being the most disgusting slinky ever
>>41812369Kill the leader first. Medic second. Everyone knows that.
>>41809637Reminder that bones are not the shade of white that you know them to be. They are actually a dark brown/red color. The bones that you have seen in museums or in a science class are bleached so that you do not recognize them as human and so you do not have an instinctual panic attack when you see them.
>>41812422>so that you do not recognize them as human and so you do not have an instinctual panic attack when you see them.I don't think that's the real reason, anon
>>41812422Are you a cannibal?
>>41812394Leader nothing. You geek the goddamned mage, son. The leader may keep the other guys in line, but he doesn't make them invisible or shoot lasers out of his eyeballs. You're half right about the medic though, because usually the mage is also the medic.
>>41812422>Reminder that bones don't look like what they really look like>They are bleached to look like what you think they look like in order to make you not recognise them as the things you think they look like
>>41812460>>41812465>>41812480My cousin was hiking and fell down a mountain side. He had multiple compound fractures and you could see the brown of the bone sticking out of his legs.At the hospital the doc said the thing about bleaching the bones. I took his word for it, maybe you guys know better and I was being rused.
>>41811354I'm confused about what exactly you mean.Does meatgaps mean the neurotransmission?
>>41812422>>41812566No they are just covered in red fleshy material, and are kind of yellowish themselves, the same as with animals. As for them being brown, when exposed they can get dirty quite easily just like any other wet bit of flesh.
>>41812332thumoristic mage assistant maybe? Heal/fix the organs brigade, help the necromancer refining and collecting elements/mana
Nervous ghosts don't possess people, they burrow into their flesh, connect with their nervous system, and control them directly.
>>41812818Also hack living muscles to cause pain/death trough forced convulsions and other brains to extract info, mindwash, cause visions
>>41812566Have you considered the fact that they might bleach it for different reasons?Maybe cleaning?
>>41810353RULES OF NATURE!
>>41812480Google and most of my personal experience with skeletons is telling me you're wrong.I do have a human skull that's brown in color but it was buried underground in direct contact with the dirt for several decades, so that probably colored it.
>>41811563Well while the necromancer was all alone in his mancave crying about how his undeniably evil minions are really good the demonmancer summoned demons who could easily wipe the floor with all 70 of them and got all the ladies. But not the succubus ladies, they will kill ya and then try to make their own hellspawn army with your semen in other girls.

>>41812656Also, not enclosed in a fleshy prison, they are part of the fleshy prison. It's just that when the flesh dies so does everything worth eating from the bones.

He also said that consciousness had an even more fundamental substrate; the atom. It's not logical to presume he was right about atomic consciousness just because he was right about neuronal consciousness, but the fact that he made one accurate prediction about consciousness provides the justification to fund research to prove atomic consciousness.
>>41810504Dare I ask what show?
>>41811022It was very interesting. I also agree with your second point.
>>41812566It has nothing to do with preventing panic attacks. Bleeching the bones makes then clearer to see, more sanitary, and of course mimics what happens to raw bones over a long period of time. When they dig up bones from the ground they come out a yellowish white, they don't stay red as the blood and flesh decompose.
>>41813886Timothy Leary is a pseudoscientist on Hubbards level and none of the articles actually support his thesis. So don't get overexcited.

>>41813431>I do have a human skullWhere do you live that that's not illegal as hell?
>>41809637Have you seen the guy who makes these things? Pretty much what you would expect.
This reminds me of an idea for a game I had once, where all of the players would be undead, all created from the same corpse of the same man. One would be his skeleton re-animated, one would be a flesh golem crafted out of his flesh, the third would be a ghost, specifically, his. They'd all have varying degrees of memory of the original guy who they were. I never figured out what, if anything a fourth player would or could be.
>>41809637It's spooky all the way down.reminder that there's electric elemental inhabiting your nervous system, and your soul gets all the information from electric impulses it makesand it makes you see only what he WANTS you to see
>>41813532Yes, thank you
>>41814549I didn't say it was legal

>>41813431>I do have a human skull that's brown in color but it was buried underground in direct contact with the dirt for several decades, so that probably colored it.I got one that was kept in a cabinet since it got separated from the original owner and it's mostly brown-ish too. >>41814143He made vague claims that consciousness is located in the neuron. To prove this hypothesis, a genetic memory has to exist - in other words, DNA has to be rewritten actively. The reason is that unless such re-writes are going on, there's no evidence to suggest that DNA intelligently interacts with it's environment.Leary also makes other claims, such as Racial memory, and that DNA actively controls the development of the organism intelligently. Epigenetics has provided the mechanisms for all these things. In other words, his hypothesis has now become a theory, due to evidence that can be interpreted to support it.
>>41820424He made fairly specific BULLSHIT claims about structure of brain and the nature of consciousness that are a joke to anyone with basic cognitive and neurological education. He claimed consciousness exists in neuron and even in atoms. The theory that there is something like "genetic memory" is not new: hell, DNA IS memory and nothing else than a memory - a data storage unit - in the first place. That is not his idea, definitely not a new one. The theory that DNA is not entirely passive and actually interacts with the environment - a behavior that is in NO FUCKING WAY unique to neurons, mind you - is around for quite a long time. The main problem is that Leary has no fucking CLUE what consciousness what memory - cognitive memory that is - actually is. Epigenetic's have absolutely NOTHING to do with consciousness. Or memory in the strict sense of the word. OF FUCKING COURSE DNA carries information of the organisms philogenetic "experience".
>>41811563Could such a necromancer theoretically amass dead skin cells from somebody who was still living and animate that? What about other tissues the human body sheds during upkeep?
>>41811563>>41812307Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah shit undead are officially scary again. Thanks, /tg/, I'll sleep with the light on now.

>>41822611We forgot fat. Maybe one can make a rotten undead fat slime.A living slab of connective tissue that rolls around. Also maybe a pseudo-skeleton shaped out of the remaining cartilage?
You know, I think the only way these organomancers could be more terrifying is if they don't have to wait until you're dead before they begin animating
>>41824167Super easy. Do that one scene from the cell then animate the intestines so it strangles the victim to death. Animate nails to burrow into the victim since the actual nail is dead. Have the outter most layer of skin since thats also dead tissue start eating its way inward making more dead tissue to animate. hair that burrows into the brain etc.
>>41824117Seems good to me>>41824167>they don't have to wait until you're dead before they begin animatingOh god this is William Arcane all over again.
>>41824167Necromancy requires the target to be deadnothing stops the necromancer from causing local gangrenes to animate with specialized toxins though

>>41824266What about making an undead creature out of Blood, It's separate to the Cardiovampire, but it is stored within it, and it can make itself larger by spreading through water.
>>41810943>in other news, fuck climbing enemies have made fortress defense actually fun again.>implying most players don't make fortresses in mountains and close it with bridge.
>>41824434How would it differ from the cardiovampire?
>>41824772I ensure my fortress is on a plateau thats been recently been flooded and overflowed with lava then water to ensure a durable onsidian edifice all around so all climbing surfaces are razor sharp. Then either have someway to fly or teleport in or chisel a steep easily defendable staircase out of it.
>>41811022Where was the exhibit? Was it the Mind over Matter thing?
>>41824823On second thoughts, the blood within the Cardiovampire can be turned into extrusion-y things ate the capillaries, or hard armor composed of scab tissue.
>>41824857It was called bodyworks. Went all over the states and europe. Guy got in trouble over some provocative poses and rumors of obtaining bodies illegally. The illegal body deal turned out to be a merchant selling chinese deathrow inmate corpses as legal corpses and no one knew.
>>41824781Isn't a cardiovampire just a jogger who got bit by a vampire?
>>41825387No it's a Vampiric Cardiovascular System, that makes more of itself by sucking all of your blood out, and taking your heart and blood vessels with it.Also underrated post.
So, new thread about the Organomancer? personally I think that if you want to go down that route you should also have something about creating constructs with whatever dead tissue is currently available by re-purposing and recombining it.
