You continued walking to the slave camp. It wasn't long till you encountered a large fight going on in two abandoned building.

On one side, there were a rag-tag group of what you assumed to be Martin's Hound boys courtesy to their three scarred bald heads and their explosive suicidal tendencies.

On the other side, Another gang called The Laniuses gutted them up with their assortment of melee weapons. they were mimicking some fearsome leader called Laniuses.

You held your breath hoping for the best. The thumps grew louder and louder. You couldn't see but the hound boys were actually crazy enough enough to attack that thing.

You heard a large inhale followed by what you assumed to be a sea of raging flames. The hounds boys didn't have the chance to scream before incineration.

Oddly enough, you heard a strange weep in the air. a couple of minutes later, the ground shakes faded away.

You spent the rest of the night in the ruins listening to some tunes in the radio. You took shifts while sleeping but Lester was mostly awake. you consumed 2 more fuel canisters.

You packed your stuff and left these ruins; the slave camp should be a couple of hours away.

The slave camp was in the horizon, you were getting close. In your way, you found different scraps of metal and electronics littered around a destroyed car. you had this urge to grab them all. Your encumbrance had increased.

Finally, you arrived at the Miss Stacy slave camp. the place , although built from scratch, looked really neat and clean. The slave camp was walled off. It has two main buildings and three smaller building for the slaves and a large courtyard. You were greeted by two Stacies.

Much to your demise, the Laniuses were already cleaning their corpses off. Well at least you didn't waste ammo.

So if I were QM and I decided to break the stalemate will my roll we would go with whatever option B was.

Most of the time, dice are used when trying to decided the uncertain or risky result of a encounter, attack or defense, luck or something that has inherent risk or uncertainty.

Lets say you lay out 5 options, 3 of which have an inherent risk to them or maybe your not particularly skilled in in doing one of the options listed, you would put a the end of the option a request for a dice roll for example:

To see if you make it ok, higher tends to be better but its up to you to decide if high roll numbers are good or bad.

Or, maybe you want a random encounter

below 10 or maybe a crit 1 you get maybe a swarm of murderhoboing evil goblins. and 90+ or a critical 100, maybe the players come apon a magical unicorn stuck in a snare, give them the option to set it free and maybe the players get a boon or good will etc.

and you can do an average roll of 3 dice
the best of 3 rolls (most players like this)
worst of 3 roll (if you hate your players or they do something very stupid with low chance of success)
you can count the first 3 rolls from a players post only or first 5 if theres more players. Its entirely up to you and hope you decide to shape or make the system work.

I think it was one of those you decide to hoof it to where the signal gets stronger before it went dead to have an idea of were they are.
The dead silence means that we can't figure out where or what direction to head in so its a missed opportunity that we did not react fast enough to.
The QM could have added, speculation for the players or mentioned something in character like You get the feeling if you don't act now you will lose the single or they will die soon, or you could try moving towards where you think the signal is coming from to get an idea of what they are saying and what probably direction they are in.

Honestly I think given how fast the radio died, I figure at best we would have come upon the aftermath of some unfortunate smucks or had to deal with the assholes who probably killed them.
