Interlude: Satisfied Thief

That you don’t belong in this classroom isn’t important. No one will question it, you walked in alongside someone who should be here, and you wait for those who are one with your purpose to position themselves. From those with eyes in the hallway, you know the girl who sits behind her has left for the restroom. From those who should be here, they step into the line of sight of the other undesirable to shield your actions.

This undesirable, your target, has not yet left the roof according to the eyes shared there.

It makes you smile. Everyone working in concert toward this wonderful goal.

Looking into her desk, you find a white bento box. Shielded from those who would question it, you quickly leave the room as if nothing were wrong, pausing only to lay a finger upon your adored idol’s desk and exult in that fleeting presence. As you walk the hall during the lunch period, toward your goal, you open the box and take a moment to appreciate the intricacies and hand crafted work that went into this fairly hearty meal. It fills you with a superficial pang of sadness that no one will know just how good a meal this would have made.

With care, you proceed down to the first floor entrance hall. Surrounded by your eyes and hands, you step up to a very specific shoe locker. The free period team is there to meet you as you go about your work. With a cruel smile you give them the final go ahead on their assignment as you empty the bento into its unintended receptacle.

The team leader laughs happily and she and her assembled group raise pairs of fabric sheers high. Sliding steel against steel sounds with long draws before ending in a synchronicitous snap. Content with their preparations, you send them on their way.

The Bento emptied, you toss it beyond the entryway doors into the front yard of the school.

You close the shoe locker, and proceed to the next one for another very important and satisfying theft.

Quest Start

~Say, Yoshi,~ you pause, ~about your manager,~

You’ve been chatting and generally catching up over the past few minutes since you got the more serious part of the conversation out of the way. Yoshi Sakurada, as always, has a stoic manner and had been moving toward more mundane topics to hide his mild embarrassment. As you come toward the last quarter of the lunch break, you broach a delicate topic.

He doesn’t know that his band’s manager and agent isn’t human. Well, he was human thousands of years ago. Now he’s something else and serves a nefarious purpose. Inspiring Yoshi’s audience with extreme anger through some kind of sorcery and then harvesting the negative emotions to refine into an infectious darkness that his mysterious group that serves the cause of a long dead kingdom of Elysion.

When the world was one nation, in an era before the known fossil record, that kingdom fell; millions of years later survivors of that kingdom are waging a shadow war on the Earth as it is now toward a corrupted goal.

In his past life, before being reborn in the modern era through an act of magic cast upon the entire warring solar system, your father was the Prince of Elysion. Dying in the arms of his love, the Princess of the Moon Kingdom, he witnessed his kingdom possessed and controlled by a cosmic evil. A needless war now continues, and the people you care about are in the crossfire.

You are MIkage Chiba, second year highschool student age 15, and you were formerly the Champion of Love & Justice known as Sailor Moon. That heroic mantle of identity passed from your mother to your elder sister, from your elder sister to you, and when circumstances forced you step away from being that magical girl you left it to your younger sister. Now you support your younger sister as the enigmatic hero known as Eclipse. It is one of several identities and personas you use between coping with old trauma and achieving your current goals.
>>
>>41646247

“Ah, what about him? Oh, no, that’s right,” he scratches his cheek and looks off into the distance, “Kal-san did mention he gave you a business card,”

After all this time, you and Yoshi have finally made your feelings from when you were younger clear. You are both very different people than who you were, but you want to see where the two of you stand with one another now. Earlier in your conversation, here on the rooftop of your high school, you called him by his first name and told him that he could still call you by your own.

He did. Then he revealed that he knew something about you, and that since the falling out between you when you shut everyone out back then he turned to Music to deal. Forming a band with some friends he has in secret become the front man for the popular indie metal group known as the Unrepentant Damned. You may have smacked him in the face the other day while in your guise of rage, the urban myth delinquent monster named the Red Eyed Beast, while projecting your own feelings of regret.

It’s complicated, and while not accusing you of being the Beast it was clear he knew something so you fessed up. Luckily he hasn’t pressed the issue of you possessing blatant supernatural abilities while beneath that pale skinned and black haired disguise. You are certain he’s probably just being polite to not ask after that.

>Yeah, he wanted to help me manage my “brand,”
>He isn’t human...
>Just, be careful around him. I don’t think he has your best interest at heart
>He, did something to your fans. You should keep an eye on him

Alright, lets get down to business and get writing

~Watch your friends around him,~ you step closer without slouching and look him square in the eyes, ~He smells wrong,~

“Smells wrong?” he asks in slight confusion.

~Just keep your eyes open and pay attention,~ you explain and wave the rest off, ~Okay,~

“Okay,” he sighs repeating your assertion and looks out onto the street far below and beyond the fence, “Mikage,”

~Yeah, Yoshi?~

“I’m,” he pauses, “glad-”

Mid sentence, a massive figure explodes around the corner of the stairwell. The noontime sun hangs slightly off center above you; they are panting and out of breath. Daigo Endo leans an arm against the wall and looks up toward Yoshi, looking past you.

“Sakurada!” he calls out and brandishes his phone between breaths and brandishes his phone as he closes the distance between the two of you, “She, she jumped our announcement. Well, I didn’t know if we were making an announcement,”

You catch a glance of his screen. It looks like a paused viewtube window. What’s on the window catches your attention; Venus Aino is smiling, winking and offering a thumbs up gesture. What’s the squirt done that has the big guy so-

It clicks in your mind, the things Yoshi just said and what Teal had said earlier about her stalking of Endo-kun. So, he must be Ogre.

>I’ll just leave you two be, see you back in class Yoshi. Lunch!

Pizza is good, especially with an afternoon deal.

Lets get to writing.
>>
You clear your throat and gain the larger young man’s attention. He pauses from his panicked explanations to the stunned Sakurada and looks over to you in surprise.

~Hello, Endo-san,~ you smile, ~how are you today?~

If you’re letting Yoshi back into your life, it would be good to get to know his friends.

“Oh, uh, Chiba-san?” he says confusion before he rights his posture and bows to you slightly, “Good afternoon. I didn’t see you there,”

“She and I were just talking, Endo. What’s this about?” he asks the larger man curiously.

He glances down at his phone, over to you, and then to Yoshi Sakurada. Daigo Endo mulls it over and then angles the phone down.

“Oh, nothing,” he says in feigned nonchalance, “Just a video,”

~I saw it was Venus-chan,~ you observe, ~Are you a fan?~

“Yes!” he all but yelps as his oddly frenetic manner settles into singular focus and turns halfway between you and Yoshi, “In fact she just posted a very cool blog I wanted to share with Sakurada,”

“Oh?” Yoshi crosses his arms and quirks an eyebrow, “Normally I would be all for such a diversion, Endo, but we were just having a private conversation,”

“Yeah but- wait, private?” he glances back to you, “The two of you?”

~Yes, Yoshi and I,~ you confirm and then decide to keep the flow of conversation and topic flowing, ~Did you know I was at Venus-chan’s album launch. Our mother’s are old friends and actually went to school here together,”
>>
>>41649550

“Wait, really!” he says in excitement, “That’s really cool! What was it like seeing the monster atta-”

“Endo,” Yoshi hisses.

“Oh, yeah, I guess that would be a sore subject,” he nervously rubs the back of his neck, “Sorry about that,”

~mhmm,~ you nod while bemused, ~So, what was Venus-chan announcing?~

“Eh, oh yeah. That. Well,” he stumbles about across his tongue, “She just promoted an upcoming cover of her single,”

“She what?” Yoshi’s mask cracks a bit as his eyes shoot wide beneath his glasses.

~Oh really?~ you smile to yourself, but then notice the raised clock on the front yard of the school.

There are only eight minutes of lunch left! That might barely be enough time to get back to your desk and enjoy Dad’s homemade bento box. No time to waste!

>Nah, stay here and chat. This is amusing. What about?

I completely forgot I have an appointment to get to at 5:30. So I'm going to have to thread pause at 5 until after dinner.

I would try to get one more update out before I go, but I can't write one without a vote and I'll need to get going momentarily.

I'll head out now, and if I've got a consensus (or anything really) I'll try to type a short update up on my phone in the waiting room.

Awkwardly saunter faux casually away, and then ZOOM, because
>Lunch is what teenage girls live for! Run!
>>
In waiting room. Thumbs away!
>>
~Oh, actually break is almost over,~ you notice and politely excuse yourself, ~I'm going to go have my lunch now. It was nice speaking to you, Endo-san. Yoshi, I'll see you back in class,~

As you walk away at a comfortable pace, you can practically hear the smile breaking across the face of the larger boy.

"Goodbye, wait," as you turn the corner you catch him turning to Yoshi and elbow him in the ribs, "did she just use your first name?"

It makes you smile, and offsets the creeping feeling you get as you walk observed through the roof, the stairwell, and the halls toward your classroom. You don't know why, but it feels like too many people are paying attention to you. Rationalization takes hold as you muse about it being from the rapid and recent change in your behavior and appearance. No small part of you is excited that some boys or girls might be noticing you for the first time in years, or ever, and thinking that you are hot. Pleased with that thought, no doubt a result of returning Miki to your psyche, you find Midori coming out of the washroom on your way back to class.

"Chiba-san," she observes with a knowing smile, slyly, "you seem in a good mood,"

~Guilty,~ your grin widens.

"Would it have something to do with you and Sakurada-san stepping out of the classroom?," you keep smiling and say nothing, "Ha, and here I thought you'd set your lunchtime appetites on a more familiar meal,"

You stifle a laugh.

~Mori-san,~ you chastise, ~it's much more complicated than that,~

"Well, we can talk about it later," Midori Mori offers an apologetic gesture, "When we can speak more openly,"

~I'm sure we will,~ you nod as the two of you enter the class room and take your seats.
>>
>>41651173
Just four minutes left. Just enough time to inhale your lunch. A part of you is sad as you open your desk, dad made this and you really owe it to him to savor his cooking.

Desk open, you stare at a few texts, a pencil box, and your notebooks.

Your bento isn't here. Odd.

It didn't fall out of your desk? It's not under it. Nope, isn't in your bag.

You...YOU'R LUNCH HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED!

Calming turning in your seat, you find Midori getting her notebook and workbook out for your next class. Noticing you facing her, she looks up. Reading the expression on your face, she expresses immediate concern.

“Everything okay, Chiba-san?” she asks while opening her pencil case.

~Did you see anyone poking around my desk?~ you ask as you try to reign in your upset, ~I can’t seem to find my lunch anywhere,~

She shakes her head.

“Not while I was here,” she thinks on it, “And I guess I was gone for a while. Do you think its related to that note you brought up earlier?”

~I honestly don’t know,~ you sigh, ~ugh, give me something I can punch instead of this petty bullshit,~

“My ears will be to the ground during free period,” she nods as you get up to go over to ask Kairi.

As you step forward, Keiko Sugimoto returns to the room. As you pass each other and exchange smiles, yours strained, she looks after you with a bit of concern. She takes her seat and leans back to talk to Midori over your empty desk while you approach Kairi as she gets settled back at her desk.

~Hey, Kairi-chan,~ you offer while as she looks up and immediately notices the look on your face, ~Did you see anyone looking through my things?~

“No,” she thinks a moment, “What happened?”

~I think someone took my lunchbox,~

“No way,” she says, “Actually, a few people from out of class were here for a bit, but they weren’t at your desk. There were in the middle of the classroom while I was sitting with Gai,”

“Now that you mention it, no,” she muses, “Say, did you get a strange note in your shoe locker this morning?”

~Yes actually,~ you wonder, ~About Keiko?~

“Ayup,” she huffs, “It’s happening, isn’t it?”

~Maybe, but we expected this,~ you nod solemnly, ~We have friends though, and each other. Unshakable bonds that won’t lose to this pettiness,~

“Yeah,” she says quietly, “unshakable. We should be careful, the day’s only half ov-”

Ding Dong

You nod and head back to your desk for class. The last of the other students file into the room, including Yoshi. As you pass Keiko, she quietly mouths to you asking if you are okay. Shruggin in response you take your seat as the teacher arrives and class begins.

It will be difficult to focus on class between how upset this has made you and how hungry you find yourself. However, you are a woman of skill and dedication. You are girded against this hardship by the knowledge that you do not sit by idle while the sanctity of your father’s home made bento box has been violated.

~Zoisite, Kunzite,~ you whisper, ~I have need of your services,~

-Princess,- the blonde phantom kneels beside you.

“Alright class, please turn to page 190. We’ll start today going over some complex equations of-”

-Princess,- the caped man with vibrant white hair kneels beside his brother in arms and lover.

-A treasured gift from my father has been stolen,- you explain seriously, -I know it is a petty use of my magic, but I fear it is part of a larger campaign against me and my friends. I would confront this thief on my terms, and not wait for them to reveal themselves. Please search as far as you are able for clues to this coward,-

-We understand,- they say as one and melt into the floor as shadowy and otherwise unseen wraiths.

You turn to the page and begin taking notes while the Shintennou search on your behalf. They flit about across the surface of the floor and the walls for the duration of the class.

As one of the shadows, you’ve lost track of which, flits past Yoshi’s desk the boy sharply stands as it flies up the white board and disappears through to the next room. He looks about the classroom in confusion and concern.

“Mister Sakurada,” your math teacher, a young woman with short dark hair and a tracksuit, who doubles as your physical education instructor scolds, “What is the meaning of this?”

“Ah, forgive me Sensei,” he offers a short bow in apology as he composes himself, “I thought I saw...it was nothing,”

Oh, right. The Damned reacted a bit to Kunzite the other night, you’d forgotten about that because you didn’t really expect to meet the guy again after everything that happened.
>>
>>41656828

The shadows return to you two classes later. Yoshi screws his eyes shut when they return and coughs. You’ve been participating in class and it feels good, raising your hand and answering questions. Its nice and normal.

-We have found no sign of your lunch in the surrounding classrooms,- Kunzite explains evenly.

Yoshi seems to be trying very hard to ignore something. Perhaps Kunzite’s voice?

-However,- Zoisite muses, -Something is strange about this school. Things seem too orderly among the students,-

-Hardly something to call strange,- Kunzite observes softly.

Yup, he is trying to ignore Kunzite’s voice.

-You always did like Military discipline,- Zoisite jokes coyly while the caped man rolls his eyes.

-Thank you both,- you frown a bit, -I’ll take things from here,-

Free period couldn’t come fast enough.

Everyone begins breaking off into their assorted groups, or leaving for wherever and whatever they do on their free period.

Well, time to get a move on, as you rise and survey the classroom, you notice Saori Umeki sitting oddly upright at her desk, shaking a bit. Her eyes are extremely wide, which really accentuates the dark circles hanging beneath them, frankly it looks like she’s seen a ghost. Still, you have other things to tend to at the moment.

A twisting roar echoes from within your middle as your stomach makes its demands known. A few eyes across the classroom glance your way; Kairi, Keiko, and Midori’s sporting a certain knowing concern.

~Ah, excuse me,~ you nod and step out of the room with the intention of going to the student store.

Your steps quickly take you to the student store, where you buy their remaining two melon breads, a cold croquette box with rice, and two strawberry juice pouches. The store committee members where just opening the place back up when you slammed your heads onto the counter and made your perhaps slightly crazed demands.

You can’t accuse your harassers or suss out your missing lunch on an empty stomach.

In fact, you pause and turn back to the counter, and buy a hot dog bread and snap it down quick right there. It really hits the spot!

As you set off amid debating where to eat your fare, three girls approach you. You don’t know their names, but you’ve seen them a few times here or there. Actually, you played next to one of them in music club in junior high but you can’t actually place her name.

“Chiba-san,” the one you played next to asks, “Could we speak to you a minute?”

You glance down at your bag full of purchased lunch and take out a Melon bread as you consider what to do.

>Sure. You need to be more social, and these girls are willing to talk to you

~I’m sorry,~ you give a shallow bow, ~but I was going to have a late lunch with a few friends,~

You take a few steps past them as one of the other girls turns and offers an expression of great concern and upset. She’s a bit short and has a clip on the side to part her hair.

“But, Chiba-san, we heard someone in our class boasting,” she tapers off into a quiet whisper, “about something really bad,”

Pausing mid step, you turn back to face the trio of girls. What are they trying to say?

“Yeah, toward the end of lunch,” the other one, who you also don’t know, crosses her arms, “if that means anything to you,”

“Please Chiba-san,” the girl whose name still escapes you, “We can’t really talk about it out here, okay. Please come with us,”

They’re lying. You aren’t quite sure about what, but they are lying through their teeth with almost perfectly straight and emotive faces. There is an anticipation and anxiousness in their postures and words that you barely pick up on, and it's not for their well being. Its for you walking away from them, a frustration.

You look straight at the three of them for a moment and do something you had hoped you wouldn’t have to do today. Right now there is lunch to be eaten, and the best way to see what these girls are really after is to deny them what they say they want. Let them call you the Princess of this school, the terrible and mad Princess of the Kingdom of No.

~No,~ you say simply and begin walking away from them.

-Zoisite. Kunzite. Observe them after I’ve turned the corner. I’ll be staying nearby so you can continue to observe them,-

-Yes Princess,- they both say while slipping away from you.

Heading over to the stairwell, you pause a few steps up and lean against the railing. Taking a moment to enjoy one of the tasty oversized and flavor filled melon breads you purchased, you wait. Zoisite falls into your field of vision and points in a direction, you follow him a few hallways over and lean against a wall for another minute or two.

Its near your class 1, are they in your classroom?

“OH MY GOD! NO NO NO NO NO!” Saori Umeki screams terrified from within the room before she bursts into she looks terrified and runs past you down the hallway, “It's come back for me! SOMEBODY CALL SAILOR MOON!”

A few students peek their heads out of your room, and others, at Umeki-san’s retreating form. A few moments pass and the three girls you followed leave the room with Kairi-chan in tow.

-Don’t worry, Princess,- Kunzite offers, -by way of Nephrite we warned her of their duplicitous intentions. She volunteered to investigate this under the guise of believing their lies,-

-After you left them, they didn’t actually talk,- Zoisite explains while a phantom sauntering invisible to others out of the classroom, -They just looked at each other, nodded, and slowly made their way here after handing a flash card with the number 2 on it to some boy they passed in the hall,-
>>
>>41660675

-What about Umeki-san?-

Zoisite smiles and shrugs.

-Poor girl could see me,- he explain and sighs, -and she seems so tense about everything too,-

Huh, Saori can see Zoisite. Another name to your pool of potentials. What are you up to now, 4? Sasha, Yoshi, Umeki-san, and Kino-san. Her experience having been a monster might be useful, but you aren’t sure she is someone you know well enough to trust.

-Midori Mori and Jadeite are preparing to follow those girls and Kairi Osaka, she’s just giving them some distance first,- Kunzite nods solemnly, -Oh, and the Sakurada boy who notices my presence was not in the classroom,-

What to do…

>Trust Kairi and Midori, head in and eat up
>Go after Umeki-san, she could probably use a calming talk
>Follow Midori in her aiding of Kairi’s risky investigation
>Look around for Yoshi, talk a bit more with him
>Go see the Student Council President

But then we will have to find a compatible female candidate for Kunzite solely to increase the awkwardness of those bound to the generals because of their relationship. Which then gets promptly ruined by Umeki perving out over the BL atmosphere that those two generate when together and not on the job..

But activate MindCom with them so they can communicate.
>>
You will trust your knights, fulfilling their promise of loyalty and rooting out an evil that has now offended both that loyalty and their own personal sensibilities. For now, you have a late lunch to consume. You stride into the classroom just as Midori is getting up and let your mind reach out to her and Kairi.

-My range with this is only about 100ft- your mind buzzes to the two girls, -be careful, these girls seem to know something and they aren’t working alone,-

-Don’t worry about all of that,- you feel Midori roll her eyes, -This smacks of a run of the mill bullying tactic. Outnumber, draw away from the herd, and then the denigration will begin. I’m betting they’re part of the whole note thing,-

-Well, that fills me with confidence that I made the right decision,- Kairi laughs from beyond your sight as Midori disappears out the door.

Opening up the croquette box, you begin making quick work of the fried pieces, the packed rice, and the pickled vegetables. Its okay, not great, but okay. The juice is really good.

-Just try to keep one of you in range, I want to know what’s going on,- you think through the ecstasy of silencing your greedy organs.

-Mikage-chan, could you keep how much you are enjoying your lunch to yourself?- Kairi says softly and nervously.

-Oh, sorry,- you blush a bit and open up the other melon bread, -I was just so hungry,-

-They’re checking for empty rooms, we’re by the art labs now and- Kairi cuts out

-They just moved out of range, but they picked a room,- Midori continues, -Kairi left the door open a bit, so I can get close enough to hear what’s going on,-

Discarding your spent juice pouch, you start on the second. Your eyes narrow a bit as you think on Midori’s assertion that this might be a bullying thing. It worries you whether or not Kairi will be able to take it if they really start dishing things out.
>>
>>41661468

-They’re talking,- Midori explains coldly, -I can hear parts of it, and it isn’t nice,-

The foil pouch crinkles in your hand.

-Its getting a bit impassioned, they’ve mentioned Keiko. They’re calling Kairi and you stupid bitches,-

It folds over as you squeeze it.

-There’s no way that you would ever be her friend again after what she did at graduation,- Midori rattles with a sombre, sad, and guilty thought.

-Midori, it’s okay,- you assure her, -don’t think of yourself like them. Okay,-

-O-okay, Mikage,- she mentally nods and brightens at your bolstering.

-Has Kairi said anything to them?- was this intended for you?

-Not yet, but, wait!- Midori gasps, -There’s scuffling, someone shouted whore, and something just tore. Moving in to help!-

The mental connection goes quiet.

Training camp, you say?

Let's get down to business
To defeat Chaos
Glad they sent me daughters
And not their sons?
You're the saddest bunch
I ever met
But you can bet
Before we're through
Girlies, I'll make Senshi
out of you
Tranquil as a forest
But on fire within
Once you find your center
you are sure to win
You're a spineless, pale
pathetic lot
And you haven't got a clue
Somehow I'll make Senshi
out of you
I'm never gonna catch
my breath
Say goodbye to those
who knew me
Boy, was I a fool in school
for cutting gym
This girls's got 'em
scared to death
Hope she doesn't see
right through me
Now I really wish that I
knew how to swim
( Be Senshi)
We must be swift as
the coursing river
(Be a Senshi)
With all the force
of a great typhoon
( Be Senshi)
With all the strength
of a raging fire
No crybaby like the
saddest Sailor Moon
Time is racing toward us
till Chaos arrives
Heed my every order
and you might survive
You're unsuited for
Makeup of war
So pack up, go home
you're through
How could I make Senshi
out of you?
( Be Senshi)
We must be swift as
the coursing river
( Be Senshi)
With all the force
of a great typhoon
( Be Senshi)
With all the strength
of a raging fire
No crybaby like the
sad side of the moon
( Be Senshi)
We must be swift as
the Coursing river
( Be Senshi)
With all the force
of a great typhoon
( Be Senshi)
With all the strength
of a raging fire
No Crybaby like the saddest Sailor Moon!

We still just need an opportunity to talk to Saori Umeki about BL. Together we can be Fu-Jo-4-Life

Get it, because 4 is shin or shi, so Fujoshi, and 4 has connotations with death so following it with life is a bit of wordplay.

Japan loves stupid ass wordplay like that.

Smash cut to Tomoe-sensei (who, poor interpersonal communication skills aside, is a very good teacher) and Mikage (who we have seen to take training very seriously) telling everyone that if they’ve got time for songs, they’ve got time for another quick jog up to the top of Tokyo Tower and back.

I didn't realize the witch was a trap until you pointed it out

So, I guess it might be a good time to say that I love hearing general feedback, comments, concerns, character observations, questions, and the like about this quest.

So, if you have any feedback, please don't be afraid to send it my way.

Criticism, or what have you.
>>
>>41677637
I’m wondering what ruling you came up with from http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/41390500/#p41428527
>>
>>41677637
You gave us TOO MANY GOOD CHOICES for our knights.

I do wonder: Are we going to see anyone with any natural talent for shadow hunting that aren't senshi related? Or do they exist and we just kept looking past them?

I would think Infinity Academy would have one or two.
>>
>>41678094
If I gave bad choices, it wouldn't have been compelling. Also, you are offering knighthood and power. Those you've offered so far have had good reason to take it readily, or in Kairi's case twist your arm about it.
>>
>>41678037
Not yet.

And now I am goin to need some sleep.

Keep the feedback train going if you are so inclined an feel free to discuss among each other your thoughts.
>>
>>41678094
Saori would make an interesting knight. If a touch weird.
>>
>>41678880
I wonder if she's just reacting in general from her shadow exposure.

This is not as much feedback on your part as it is for the quest in general, but I feel like its all moving, oddly enough, back to what "Mikage" was before. We've been shedding secrets, getting a posse, even opening up to Yoshi. Which is nice and all, but its kinda missing the "eclipse" part (when was the last time he made an appearance anyways). Call it a want for a more "edgy" character, but I do miss the old Mikage. I just feel like that us being loose with our secrets might come back to bite us in the rear someday.
>>
>>41679530
We're still maintaining an nearly unhealthy degree of secrecy and lies, though our main reasons for those are off world now. Eclipse is our heroic alter-ego to fill the gap until we're ready to step up to the task ourself. He is an entertaining stop-gap and misdirect.
In some ways we are heading back to what Mikage was before, but more whole than she was then either. She's been broken for a long long time, just that the pieces came apart following That Night.
