Now that you had all the materials gathered and ready you started to work hard into crafting your race Trukk. It was a hard and tiring work because most of people you were with didn’t wanted to do any kind of menial work and they lacked the most basic knowledge of machine construction. It was a good thing that you were able to sleep while they dragged you there because otherwise you wouldn’t have been able to work at all.

The final step became the installation of the engines; that was something that you and only you could do. It was obvious that the two engines that you had ended with were of nonhuman origin… once more you would have to abandon your morals and do something aberrant; it was still a small price thought committing such tech-sins might give you the chance of being close to Alaria and Liwet again after all.

The supposedly Eldar engine was light and delicate, even if their inner workings were a complete mystery to you after bolting it and connecting the fuel pump into what seemed the correct port it started to emit a faint whispering sound, like leaves being moved in the wind. The other engine was even more enigmatic, you didn’t knew what kind of Alien mind was the one that designed it but the small sphere was incredibly heavy for its size; it was formed by a black surface that somehow was completely smooth and didn’t reflected light, carved on it there was a symbol made from circles and angular lines that glowed with a green hue that seemed as if it were alive, at first you didn’t knew how to connect that engine, or even if it were an engine at all but after placing it next to the Eldar one it kind of fused with it, as if they were an inseparable welded part. The Sphere seemingly melted and covered the Eldar whispering engine with its black coated surface, it didn’t only grew in size and changed in form but it also got a greenish glow and the sound it generated became altered, deeper and sounded like a supernatural wheezing breathing.

After that technological singularity you didn’t knew how to feel, it was both a scary experience and a marvelous one.

Now that the engines were tested you only had to connect the spheroid antigrav generators to them, you didn’t knew how much power the...hybrid engine could make but surely those Imperial made skimmers would be able to take on it. After connecting them with the help of your team you got on the incredibly broken yet somehow comfy pilot seat and pushed the accelerator. The engine vibrated softly and emitted and almost inaudible echoing faint. Pushing the pedal harder made it elevate from the ground, you looked back and saw a greenish fire that emitted some strange sparks coming out of each Anti-grav generator.

Pushing the pedal further didn’t make it go higher, just as you desired. The only thing stopping it from accelerating was the brakes you had installed but those were not in pretty good shape and thus you preferred to end the testing for now.

Not long after everything was already installed on the vehicle and everybody armed with their weapons and given a good supply of ammo.

There were some television screens installed on the corners of the rooms and at random intervals; they had been turned off so far and you had barely given them any attention but they suddenly turned on. On the screens there was a giltchy but clear image of a countdown that ended in about two hours. Not long after that a growling yet mechanical voice blasted in the speakers of the TVs, some of them even exploded.
>>
>>41604725
“HEAR YE! HEAR YE! DIS IS DA KAPTIN SPEAKIN’! STOP MUCKIN ‘ROUND AND GO TO THA HANGAR BEFORE DA TIME IS OVER. MADLOOTA OUT!”

You were then pushed down by a muscular ork boy that insulted you with some slurry and horribly spoken low gothic that you could barely understood, he promptly ran down into the corridors, surely to reach the hangar as soon as possible due to the clear excitation it showed.

“I know where that place is. Here, let me help ya.” The Imperial gunner said as he lent you a hand.

There were still a couple of hours left, what should you do?

>Order you and the rest of the team to rest. Keep one or two making guard in case any ork decides to sabotage your vehicle.

Skimmer trukks are certainly popular this race.

Da Blue Beetle is the biggest threat with its +100 attack. Followed by eldars who match us in speed, and Morktrukk who is behind us by 5 in both attack and speed. But we have the best stats in everything except attack, so odds are in our favor.

Can we mount the plasma cannon from a leman Russ punisher?
Also one more roll
>>
>>41604932
I was thinking about personal weapons, something you can carry with yourself but we could still try to give it some stats. How about this:

>+10 attack -6 defense. It takes the space of ONE gunner.
>>
>>41604971
Sure, but FYI the main gun of a leman Russ punisher is a three round burst plasma cannon that thanks to its patterning doesn't get hot.
>>
>>41604971
That would mean we do not have the same defense anymore. And we have a Plasma rifle on our person anyways and corrodes too, even it's not a cannon.

I'll look at the weapons or propose a custom. If it doesn't work out, than oh well. We'll take it I suppose.
>>
Hmmm. How does a Tau Railgun sound?
>>
>>41605082
I said Imperial stuff. Sorry
>>
>>41605101
Ah. Well fine, the Plasma cannon then. Though I wouldn't mind finding a few melta bombs and such to shove off the trukk and into any racers behind us though.
>>
>>41604865
Well, it says Imperial, Ranged and only Common, and Imperial Navy ships are common, so does that mean we can use Imperial Navy weaponry?
>>
I'm sad we have -25 on the defense rolls now though.
>>
>>41605169
I doubt we'll be able to strap naval weaponry on a trukk and still win though. That stuff is on another scale entirely I'm afraid.
>>
>>41605175
Defense is the hardest stat to obtain. With ork mentality in check I made it that way so most vehicles end with a negative defense.
>>
>>41605191
We COULD replace the chassis with the gun
>>
>>41605169
And in case you were wondering, their attack crafts make use of Lascannons.

>>41605215
Are you suggesting we drive a gun? Or attach the truck on top of a heavier Naval artillery which we will then drive?
>>
>>41605246
Hey, we've done it IRL before on a smaller scale, why not in 40k using Ork tech of all things?
>>
Humans use servitors, orks use slave force and smaller orkoid lifeforms. Sadly in this occasion there are no servitors to help you out, there were ones at first but they were all savagely looted by the greenskins after just a couple of months.

Your team was tired and sleep deprived. Unlike their fleshy cages your body was optimized with bionics and thus required less resting and ingestion of food. As a reward for their help and restless work you let them rest and also ordered to make some rotating guard to avoid sabotage from the xenos.

During your trip you were able to see a couple of interesting objects of human manufacture and genius. Maybe now would be the optimal time to check them out. Luckily for you there were less Gretchin slaves now that most vehicles were finished, you could explore those massive warehouses calmly.

Without any order or logic there were many great objects or infinite purposes and origins. More than once you found yourself stopping in your tracks and running in fear due to some sickening object of possible daemonic origin.

At the end and with a stuck of luck you found a massive yet light plasma cannon. It was of a polished and chrome looking surface that reflected light with great intensity and in all directions. Its coils were black and when turned on emitted a dark purple light similar to Ultraviolet lanterns. It was heavily decorated with intricate filigrees and a wooden stock. Surprisingly enough it was pretty light and you could walk with ease, it wasn’t lightweight enough to be aimed with only one hand thought. After that you zealously kept the gun for yourself and returned to the garage.

“Hey, take this…” The female hive ganger said as she gave you some colorless pills that seemed to have sand like particles inside.

“What is the content of this medicament?”
>>
>>41605296
“That’s no medicament but a drug, a combat drug that acts as fear inhibitor and a rage inducer. It turns you into a violent madman with little to no regards for your own health. It has a strange name like Y-Omega-77 or something similar; I like to call it Psychollosus thought. The Inquisitor gives us those for our own good. It avoids us committing suicide between the races and acting cowardly during them.”

Seeing as everybody was swallowing those without a word and in some cases with more than one capsule at the time you did it too by opening your ingestion port and placing it inside.

As you took your team towards the meeting point you crossed over an empty bay that stored a titanic bomb in its interior. It had an ovoid shape and among its hull there were dozens of light and buzz emitting panels, graffiti insults and mines or dynamite sticks badly strapped. Several dissonant tick-tocks came from its interior and written in big yellow letters there were the words “DA BIGGEST BOMMA EVAH”. Since the first effects of the drug were starting to kick in you simply shrugged and continued driving your Trukk towards the area were the rest of the vehicles were stationed in and where the rest of the boyz awaited for the speech of Morguk Madloota, the Warboss that organized this whole event.

Clad in a massive armor there was the biggest Ork that you had seen so far, its suit was obviously looted from a xenos race whose technology you haven’t seen yet. It was of a boxy yet dynamic design and on its plaques and mechanisms there were several badly done repairs and bolted spikes along with naked circuitry.
>>
File: Madloota2.png (259 KB, 1242x1756)
259 KB
259 KB PNG
>>41605334
Even if the armor seemed to have no sense or logic to you the Warboss was able to walk with it swiftly as if it were a part of himself, and honestly that seemed to be the truth. On his chest and as if it were an act of stupid defiance there was a half cracked crystal container filled with a bright and transparent greenish liquid with thousands of bubbles inside and on its interior a dark green heart that was almost as big as your cranium and connected to both organic ventricles and plastic cables.

His entire right arm was turned into a massive cannon that oddly enough looked as if it were connected to a fuel pump and a turbocharged V8 engine that roared loudly and spitted toxic smog. In comparison the left one looked small and short; it was covered in a cylindrical gauntlet and ended in a bear trap like mechanism that could easily snap you in half.

Finally, resting on his right shoulder there was a giant rocket of possible nuclear possibilities, from its interior the sound of clanking metal and screeching screams came yelling profanities in a terrible and alien sounding low gothic. Apparently they forced one of their gretchin slaves inside and then welded it all, trapping him inside and giving him some rudimentary controls so he can pilot better before the rocket inevitably explodes killing him in the process.

“WAAAAGH!” He roared as he raised his arms, less than a second afterwards the rest of the orks cheered with him with the same intensity, even the ones that weren’t of his same Klan. As usual they also started to shoot to the air and small clusters of brawling combat formed soon afterwards.

>taking likely addictive as fuck drugs without analyzing them or their effects first
Really Heracor? Smh
>>
>>41605357
On the distance you were able to see a floating and sleek spearhead looking vehicle and on top of it two Eldar. The two ancient aliens were simply resting on the seats of their vehicle with their weapons on their quick and pristine looking hands. On their bodies there were several jewels and precious metals along silky looking fabrics of mostly reddish and chalky colors. Surrounded by all the filth and crudeness of the orks around them and their clunky tech they both looked as if they were art sculptures made from the finest Imperial sculptors. Until the Warboss screamed again you felt unable to move away from their gaze.

“Roight under our feet dere is da ‘umie hive of Calix…Calixu…DA ZOGGING HUMIE HIVE THAT HAS BEEN TAKEN BY THE SNAKEBITES! THOSE GITS WITH NO SENSA OF HUMOR!!”

The few orks of the Snakebites that were around were then proceeded to be beaten to death by other orks. At the same time on the tv screens and specially on a massive one located under the Warboss the picture of several scrap made jets and rocket strapped orkoids showed how they descended from the spaceship and rained fire onto the dark spires, shortly after they were answered with anti-air turrets and defenses that turned the whole even into a frenzied storm of bullets that flew in all directions.

“DIS IS TAKING TOO LONG! DROP DA BOMMA!!!”

An ear deafening roar filled the room and a small panel with a big red button to end in front of the Warboss, he promptly smashed with his fist and the entire ship trembled.
>>
>>41605380
On the screens the titanic device that you had seen before was now descending into the highest spire of them all. During its fall it crushed several of Madloota’s own men and jets but they barely did any harm to the bomb. Like an unstoppable force it plummeted deep into the rockrete and exploded so violently that the ship you all were in ended caught in the blastwave. It exploded into an orange mushroom that didn’t deter both sides into continuing shooting at each other.

“ZOG DIS! START DA RACE ALREADY!”
Without thinking it twice you stomped your heavy armored feet on the accelerator pedal and let the Gauss fire burn and disintegrate a small group of gretchins and mekboys that were about to sabotage your vehicle. Like a bullet you drove across the corridors of the ship; each racer had its own corridor but they all ended into an open hatch located at the back of the ship.

All the vehicles meet together in that point and were launched into the air as the massive fire spew from the Krooza’s rocket thrusts boosted you all even further. On the distance you could see the morning sun and that the last traces of the nuclear mushroom were starting to face away; around you the other vehicles were descending uncontrollably and shooting at each other as they avoided both the shelling from the anti-air turrets placed on the hive and the own jets and rocket strapped orks from Madloota.

You felt your heart pumping faster and harder than ever, your body temperature going higher and higher as the effects of the adrenaline and the drug started to kick into your system.

Rocketmen, plane jets and other vehicles flew around you in random directions followed by a rain of bullet and joy filled WAAAGH screams.

Kicking the accelerator pedal you make your vehicle go fastah! It leaves the rest behind and places you close to the blue trukk.

“SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT!!!!”

Nervously the rest of the team ceases their prayers to the emperor and pokes out trying not to end falling away. Your friend the Imperial guardsman grabs his ramshackle sniper rifle and tries to aim but its weapon jams and fails, exploding in his hands and severing his arms, shortly after he fell from his place, unable to grab himself down due to the trauma.

The possibly half ogryn tried to shoot his rocket launcher but the explosive didn’t fly away. The ganger managed to use her weapon properly and launched a jet of chemical fire that impacted the hull of the vehicle, turning it into a flaming ball akin to a meteoroid. The two ballistically untrained gunners tried to shoot but failed completely.
>>
>>41606040

Meanwhile you tried to calculate the ideal vectors to land safely and avoid all the incoming fire. Some bullets chipped the paint of the vehicle and a rocket strapped ork even managed to get into the vehicle and tried to kick you out, luckily your reflexes were high enough and you were able to sever his neck with your powerblade and kick him out. Without any way of controlling himself he ended flying away and violently crashed into a Dakkajet.

Finally you managed to land into the ground, the radiating fire and gamma levels were out of the charts, you would have to move quickly. The rest of the vehicles crashed soon after.

>FIRST ROUND<
After the crash land the ground trembled, there were a few Snakebites orks around but they were all killed during the impact.

As soon as everybody got back on their feet the engines roared and started to accelerate, all the racers were on a single corner and the bullets soon started to race.

"HIT THE ELDAR!!!" You yelled as his vehicle wasn't so abominable like the rest and he was close enough.

After your mechanical order the eldar started to accelerate trying to ram into your Trukk. The flamer wielding hive ganger was quick enough to answer the attack with another salvo of fire, she seemed to be pretty adept with the weapon, something that she also surprised her and made her joyfully laugh.

The Eldar jetbike was quick and agile but after receiving from the flamer its speed became slower for an instant, it managed to hit your vehicle but it was so slow that the Eldar only managed to crash and crack the bumper of his bike.

Another close trukk shoot all his boyz into a nearby warbike. A shoota boy killed the sniper that was trying to defend its driver and a rocket porting man used some of his explosives to make a great hole into the bike's hull. The rest of the guns simply jammed or exploded.

Since the Eldar jetbike was still slightly stunned from its failed ramming action a drill powered car tried to run over it but the agile pilot managed to move away before that happened.

A few other vehicles tried to surpass each other, sometimes failing, other times succeeding.

>SECOND ROUND FIRST TURN<
>FIRST TURN<

>Get the Rocket Gunner on top of the engine and make him push fuel into the engine

"BIG GUY GET ON THE ENGINE AND PUMP FUEL WITH YOUR MOUTH!!"

With a huffed and grunted affirmation he placed the rocket launcher on his back and with a lot of agility jumped into the rumbling and energy cracking engine with a can of promethium on his hand. He then engulfed some of it and then spitted it directly into the vent ports. With each fuel spit the engine rumbled and accelerated even more. Giving you an even bigger advantage over the vehicles that were behind you.

>Shoot your enemies again ( Eldar )

Once more the hive ganger's fire bathed with purifying fire onto the vile xenos, this time the fire directly impacted onto the ranger sniper that was located under the driver and turned it into a gibbering mess of charred bones. Once more the two untrained gunners didn't managed to do much as their guns jammed once again.
>>
This time I'll let you guys control the other racer's actions too.

>SECOND ROUND FIRST TURN<
>SECOND TURN: SOLARWIND RAVAGER ELDARS<

An arch of liquid fire flew directly in your direction as the ugly mon'keigh vehicle behind you accelerated. You were worried of them winning but even more of the danger of the Necron tech they were misusing could carry.

You managed to crouch and avoid being hit with the fire, your sniper ranger wasn't so lucky as he was using his scope to calculate the distances of the other racers and couldn't see the fire pike that was about to hit him.

On a second the liquid fire impregnated him and entered inside the cracks and apertures of his armor, burning him inside before he could react.

The death of your trusty ranger sniper won't be forgotten nor forgiven. You turn the accelerator as much as you can and incline yourself backwards to ascend into the skies as the Craftworld and Dark Eldar Hybrid engine spew purple smoke and white dust while howling with a sound that sounds like a mix of spinning blades and wild wind.

Like a bullet you spin into the air and create and arc that flies above the human made truck. Your vehicle almost hits the walls and ceilings that surround you but your quick reflexes let you stride away from them before impacting. After descending you end in the first position, the place you rightfully belong to.
>>
>SECOND ROUND FIRST TURN<
>SECOND TURN: MORKTRUKK<

"WAAAAGH!!!!!" You screamed as your Trukk hovered over the junk filled ground with your men behind and ready to stompah anyone that gets close enough.

Everybody but you is nothing but a pansy git. You gotta win da race and ask the warboss for all his loot so you become the next big guy!

"BOYZ, WHY IZ YOU NOT SHOOTING DA ONES OVAH THERE!!?"

After a quick exchange of insults coming from the two boyz with the jammed guns the other two available ones tried to "aim" and shoot at the Drill powered groundcar behind them.

The first shoota exploded killing its user by impaling a rail and several high caliber bullets on his spine and chest. He was promptly kicked down by his companions and turned into a gory pulp by the great mining drills that the vehicle behind was using for locomotion. The other shooter tried to raise his bomma-stick and shoot but its rocket was deflected mid air by the shoots of the Drillzog's driver's slugga and exploded way too soon.

As you push the accelerator the drills spin faster and faster until they turn red hot. The sparks they start to spew become as big as coins and create small fires as they pass. Your vehicle also starts to destroy the ground it passes across leaving massive rubble holes.

You try to ram the Morktrukk in front of you but it is way too fast and manages to avoid all your attacks and ram attempts.

Enraged you insult them and shoot at the air with your slugga.

"OI BOYZ! SHOOT DA PANSYBOY BIKE DAT USES THE BLUE SHOOTY GIT TECH!!"

Your trusty and 'ard boys get their weapons ready to turn that bike into a mess. The shoota guy jams his weapon and angered kicks the floor of the trukk as he tries to unjam it.

The Tankbusta uses his Rokkit Launcha and manages to impact directly into the gas deposits of the bike, making it explode violently and sending its driver flying away.

Next to him a Snazzgun sends a volley of plasma fire and turns the ball of fire into an ionized microstorm of red fire and violet electrical arcs.

Finally, the Kommando on top of the Trukk shoots and kills the gunner and the driver in mid-air using his sniper rifle.

In a flash the vehicle has turned into nothing and its two occupants have been killed.

Back on the ship Da Blue Beetle becomes the favorite of the crowd.

The ork stopped trying to unjam his weapon and grabbed a massive can of poorly distilled fuel to pump it directly into the engine.

Due to its massive jaw and its agility it was able to hold himself steady and spit great amounts of fuel at once, making the engine spit fire and roar like an untamed beast.

Meanwhile the driver violently turned away and started to drive directly into one of the Hive's walls.

>Warmaker

>Shoot da SquigKillah behind you, it is almost destroyed.

You kick the accelerator and push all the "FASTAH!" buttons around to make it go as quick as possible as you can while you raise the handles to make it go higher and higher.

The entire rocket rumbles with the speed as your gunner shoots his ray gun while trying to aim at Da Squigkillah.

Shortly afterwards the rocket and the weapon start to overheat to levels that even the orks would consider dangerous.

The entire rocketbike becomes red hot as steam and lethal gases start to leak from several newly formed cracks and the bolts that placed it all together fly away from the heat and pressure.

Your hands start to bleed and spit smoke as the steering wheel has become hot enough to burn your flesh and make it smell like roasted squig.

It doesn't takes long before the driver loses control of the vehicle and it starts spiraling into its doom. It is impossible to say what exploded first, it the engine or the Zzap gun but it matters not to the ork mind. All they cared and enjoyed was that it turned into a ball of fire that crashed shortly after.
