As an adventurer, I came to see the King about a quest, and while standing in line I overheard this peasant girl.

She obviously doesn't know much about princesses who have servants for almost everything. There are maids to help them get dressed in the morning (which involves helping them out of their clothes), there are bath attendants to help them wash (do I really have to explain this?), and in some cases there's even the position of "royal butt wiper." All they have to do is say "we come with our taxes, and a gift..." Like C3PO in Star Wars, the gift is a servant, "a lady in waiting for your daughter." Thus the quest is completed faster than you can say "Do you know how to use a feather duster?"
