>Who's the armadillo?
>It's probably the Captain. Aren't you looking for the captain? Shouldn't you go talk to him?
He simply smiles. This time, his teeth show. Lots of them.

>Go over and listen to the left door, but be careful in case he tries anything.
You hear muffled screams, as if someone had something over their mouth.

Anderson tells you he could wait in the room while you open it, if you'd like. Or he could simply leave.
>>
>>41516906
No need, I'm sure you have a lot of... engineering... things to take care of, and you might even run into the captain.
>>
>>41516906
Dammit all. We came here to help we're gonna help at least someone screaming for help.

His smile vanishes. He tells you that you shouldn't think so little of the worth of his time.
He tells you his time is precious.
He tells you that he was just being polite.
He tells you he is going to stay, because he must keep his word.

He tells you to open it.

Using your trusty Butterknife you cut his gag.
Well, you try. The thing isn't very sharp.
You end up simply untying it.

Male, young, looks scared. No scars or wounds.

>Ask, who did this to you?
He answers that he doesn't know.

He asks you to please unbind him.

Ask his name and what his occupation on this ship is.
Ask how long he's been in there.
Ask who the engineer is.
Well, whatever, we need a friend.
Unbind him.
>>

Hurry back to the ship together.

This looks more like a mugging than a rescue.

Tell him that we're here investigating a distress call, and that so far one crew member is dead, another is ominously cryptic, and you were bound and gagged in a closet. We would like to trust him, but it would be very dangerous to do so without some information. What is going on here?

>Ask his name and what his occupation on this ship is.
Jack, weapon's officer.

>Ask how long he's been in there.
A few hours. He banged his head against the door, but no one came.

>Ask who the engineer is.
He looks at you weirdly and answers that you should know that. The Happening Skyline wasn't supposed to stop to pick anyone, so you should be one of my crewmates, right?

>I responded to an urgent distress signal from here. Did you send it? Are you in distress?
He tells you that he was, but the only signal he sent was his banging his head against the wall.

>What's the last you remember then?
He remembered the Captain saying that they were going to activate the new engines, then he was here.

>Tell him that we're here investigating a distress call, and that so far one crew member is dead, another is ominously cryptic, and you were bound and gagged in a closet. We would like to trust him, but it would be very dangerous to do so without some information. What is going on here?
He tells you he doesn't know. He is a weapon's officer. He knew only that thismission was secret and dangerous, nothing else.

>Unbind him.
You do just that and he thanks you.

He searches through his pockets and finds a flashlight, which he tells you wasn't there before.
>>

>>

>>
>>41517340

>>
>>41517340
Check the cockpit controls, see if they show that our ship is docked, see if there's any anomalies, the fuel levels, and if the engine is fucked.
Ask if he has authorization to access the door on the right.
If yes, enter it.
If no, go back to the room that Andersen presumably went to.
Also ask if he has any bullets on him, being a weapon's officer and all.
Tell him that since it seems like something iffy is going on, we think it'd be best if we worked together, but that requires some degree of trust, can he trust us?
>>
>>41517340
So, did you know an...armadillo...?

You didn't answer. Who's the main engineer?
>>
>>41517340
>>41517387

Guns or bullets, that is, so we don't look suspicious.

>>

>>41517387
No, backtrack first.
>>
>>41517340
>He remembered the Captain saying that they were going to activate the new engines, then he was here.
Ah, the ship probably went through an evil parallel universe and got haunted by evil spirits, and now no one remembers what they did when they were possessed.

It's a surprise that he isn't wounded, what with all the headbanging he had to do. He must be pretty resilient.

What were the ship's coordinates when the new engine was activated, and what are they now? Or its general location, if he doesn't remember that exactly.

It's odd that Anderson didn't do anything to help. Is he up to something?

We should probably warn him that one of the crew killed himself in the other room. It would be worse if he found the body without knowing.
>>

To be serious, I think it's a toss-up between using the gun as a bluff to discourage any funny business, or revealing that we're unarmed so that he lets his guard down.

>Check the cockpit controls
From what you can see, all systems are working as intended. There is a section called S. Drive which you don't have permission to access, and some other areas that you also can't acess.

>Ask if he has authorization to access the door on the right.
He tells you he should have, but his access card is not with him.

>ask if he has any bullets on him
He tells you that he fires the ship's guns, not handheld ones. He should have specified. He apologises.

>You didn't answer. Who's the main engineer?
Anderson. Never met him.

>can he trust us?
Well, you did unbind him when you could have killed, so he says that for now he trusts you.

>Ask if he knows anything about some sort of purple goo,

>and if he knows what is in the crates over in the other room.
He heard someone complain about there being too many terraforming equipments, but he doesn't remember who.

Okay, does that look like it's an entity separate from the body that came to feed on it, or does it look like that thing IS the body and it grew/mutated or something?
Is it moving?
If it's not moving, try to access Engineering.
If it's moving, go through the left door and try to lock it, maybe pry off the control panel.
Once safe-ish, tell Jack that the guy that killed himself said "I won't go back. You can't make me go back." and "You simply can't make me go back" and that he seemed solemn, not scared or angry.
Could it be that he got infected by some alien parasite thing and it was talking through him, or maybe it was causing him to hallucinate?
