The steam pluming from the vents of the machine in front of you waft ominously, hanging dead in the night air. The sound of mechanical clunking and hydraulic pistons pushing against a strained body fill your ears as Yuuki struggles to stay alive, caught in the grip of the MantiCore mecha. Or, at least it used to be MantiCore. Manti herself lies on the ground - confined to the detached robotic brain that you assumed had locked Black Pepper away once and for all. Her panicked "Hai!"s inform you otherwise, which can only mean one thing.

Pepper has control of the MantiCore - and possibly ALL of your powers.

"M-Makoto!" Your dazed, horrified stare is cut short by Yuuki's strained grunts. Surprisingly, he's managing to hold the claws of the mechanical behemoth open, even against the sheer weight.

"Quick, hit the core!" He pleads to you, "Without it, it'll shut down- Hit the core!" You glance at the innards of the machine and spy the glowing centre - the source of MantiCore's magical energy generation. Without that, the Manticore won't be as powerful, but it's not exactly in an easy place to assault. Yuuki doesn't look too hot either, and Manti is on the ground - helpless. It's... it's just a machine right? But then it did try to warn you...

"I can see you, Makoto," You hear the machine gasp in a robotic drawl as it scrapes a hand along the ground, bringing it to bear, "I can see you. I can KILL YOU." It repeats, clenching the hand. T-That thing- it would crush you instantly!

Attacking the MantiCore's... core, would be very advantageous right now, but with the sheer size and weight of that fist about to come down on you, even your usual bravado begins to falter. Not only that, but your attention shoots towards Manti's squeaking. You know Yuuki said it was just a simple AI; no more than what was required to keep the machine operational. But hearing it repeat that single word with a frightened intensity gives you pause - you can't abandon her!

With a quick movement, you snatch up the braincase and dart backwards. The fist hits the concrete below where you were, turning to mulch and fragments under its immense power.

"Everyone!" You cry out as you fly backwards. "Pepper is in the machine! Black Pepper is in there!" YOu cry out as hard as you can. Your voice carries pretty quickly, along with the sound of the attack. Naru looks up from her caress of Sen to see the chaos unfolding, Hiroko peeks up from Saito's golden sphere to look, and out from the building hop Yui and Shun; battle-damaged but still kicking.

Your boots hit the ground and you skid backwards. The frantic "hai"s slowly peter out as you stand back up, facing Pepper's new body. The shifting of mechanical parts fills your ears as its legs clamp down on the street, tail swishing sinisterly behind it. She clenches her free hand, testing it, and slowly getting accustomed to this new form. This concentrations works for Yuuki as a distraction, and you hear a sudden crunch as he manages to slip out from the hand, and hits the floor.

"Got it..." He gasps, slowly picking himself up from the road. His speed isn't enough to dodge in this capacity though, and he then gets side-swiped from one of the MantiCore's hands. He flies off across the street and smashes through a window; injured, but luckily out of sight. You glare at Pepper even more.

"Hm...?" She mumbles, using that robotic tone of the machine. "Never thought I'd be in a Royale robot. This is..." She clenches a fist and smashes it on the ground, emitting a deafening crack as it hits.

"...exhilarating."

Shun and Yui are still injured, you need to help them out first. Attacking Pepper one by one is sure to just serve as practice for her using her powers in that machine, but together you have a chance. With Pepper still engrossed in her new body, you manage to slip away unnoticed and run towards the pair of girls.

"There's so much here..." You hear her say as you run past. With your magical speed, you reach the pair within seconds.

"Yui! Shun!" You call out to them, skidding to a halt just shy of their positions. "We... We messed up. Pepper jumped into the MantiCore." You explain. The two of them blink and look at each other, then you.

"The whatnow?" They both ask. Oh right, you should probably explain what the machine itself is to everyone.

"It's something Yuuki built to help us; one of Robo's machines, but capable of producing magical energy and shaping it to simulate our powers." You quickly summarise, healing up Shun in the meantime.

"Woah, no way!" Shun exclaims, looking over at the robot.

"And you didn't expect it to turn evil?" Yui asks, raising an eyebrow as you place a hand at her shoulder, restoring her body and healing her injuries.

"Actually I totally called it turning evil." You say, slightly smug. "Not that that means much right now. Don't hit it just yet, we'll need everyone to take it down."

"When you say everyone, do you mean...?" Shun asks, pointing towards Naru and Sen. You nod back to her.

"If they're willing to help, then absolutely."

"In that case," Shun says, planting a foot on the ground. You hear a sudden burst of sound and a rush of air as Shun darts off with HER enhanced speed. You feel a little shown up by the sheer force of her legs in this scenario, but you suppose getting those two out of danger is more important right now.

"Yui, help me with Saito and Hiroko." You tell her, heading over to the others. Hiroko is sitting just outside of Glory's golden ball. Saito needed some time to reconstitute her outfit, but you're not sure why Hiroko is here - or why she's blushing so hard.

"T-That was wrong, I'm so perverted..." She mumbles, shaking her head. Normally you'd love to get the context, but this might not be the best time.

"Ohh? Perverted~" Yui says, rubbing her hands together.

"Yui, focus." You sigh, reminding her.

"Oh, r-right." She says, standing upright again.

"Hiroko, how is Aoi?" You ask, placing a hand on the orb.

"She's- I mean, He's fine!" She replies, "J-Just fine, absolutely fine! N-Not that I would know- I w-wouldn't have gone inside his- oh god, what am I..."

"Hiroko." You snap your fingers. "There's no time to explain, but we've got an evil robot capable of using our powers and very little time to to defeat it."

"Evil Robot?" You hear Saito ask as the ball starts to dissipate, condensing inward until it coils around the shape of a person. Saito stands back up in her Glory Gold armour - or at least, a portion of it. The leg armour is almost entirely gone, reduced to what amounts for a skirt. As well, it just looks thinner all around. Saito blushes and crosses her arms.

"M-My suit is based on available power. I don't look like this because I want to." She grumbles, looking away. Still, it's an awful cute-looking outfit for something he apparently hates. "Anyway, evil robot?" She asks. You point at the MantiCore.

"Why was I so obsessed with obtaining one, single power- when I could have ALL OF THEM!" The machine screams, laughing in a reverberating voice. "All contained within such steely perfection!" She laments, blasting fumes and steam.

"Oh. Okay." She replies, scratching her head.

"Hold off until we're ready." You tell your friends, looking instead over to the smashed window where Yuuki flew. "I need to make sure everyone is alright."

"Okay, but don't wait too long," Saito advises, watching the robot laugh to itself. "I get the feeling that thing isn't going to just monologue to itself forever."

You nod and run off, heading for the window. You deftly jump through and land on the broken glass, setting Manti down as you do so. Your eyes take a little time to adjust to the darkness.

"Hai!" Manti squeaks, blinking a particularly bright light to illuminate Yuuki's ragged body, untransformed. Of all the people you've healed today, he's probably in the worst shape.

"Yuuki, hang on." You say, holding him tight with a hug. Your healing energy flows freely into him, knitting his open cuts and setting bones back in their place. He winces in pain but finally opens his eyes.

"W-Why didn't you..." He mutters, blinking drearily.

"There... wasn't much time." You say, still hugging him. "I'm sorry. I had to get clear, and save Manti."

"Manti?" He asks.

"Hai." You hear the case squeak.

"I see... You're always thinking about the weakest first." He mutters, running his hand over the case.

Within a few seconds you release him and catch your breath. All this healing is exhausting; even Yuuki isn't back to full strength.

"Pepper can read minds quite adeptly, and the wiring of those brains is probably similar enough that she can access all the information she needs to in order to run the MantiCore." He thinks aloud, tapping his chin.

"So we need brute force to hit the power core." You say, clenching your fist. "I say we call in Robo. He has robots that can help."

"He does, but don't underestimate that thing." Yuuki replies, holding a hand to his head. "We designed it together."

Yuuki connects up to Robo and shares a brief conversation between the two of them, and relays it to you.

"He's definitely willing to help, and already mobilising some drones to assist. They might take some time to get completely ready. We could try just hitting the MantiCore with a raw drop-pod as well, but that could be dangerous. There's some kind of interference throwing off his systems right now."

Something in your brain happily ticks when Yuuki suggests using drop-pods.

"Hell yeah orbital strike!" You exclaim, pumping a fist. "Steel rain this bastard!"

"Alright then, let's keep people clear at least." Yuuki says, relaying your order back. "What about the robots?"

"They sound good," you reply, "but make sure there's absolutely no brains in them. We don't want Pepper hopping between bodies when they get damaged, or using the robots against us. Either drones controlled by Robo, or piloted." You order of him, then rub your chin.

"...Preferably piloted." You add, rubbing your hands together. Yuuki rolls his eyes and sends the order off to Robo. The two of you stand up and look out over the street, watching Pepper stomp around, having mastered movement. You set Manti on a shelf, out of danger, but still watching the field.

"...Hm, Yuuki?" You ask, thinking hard. "Do you think you could use your time powers here?"

"To do what?" He asks, still watching the MantiCore.

"To prevent all this!" You say, swiping your hand out. "Rewind time back before she jumped into the robot- before she jumped into Sen!" You suggest. "Hell, jump back to when we first met Mai and we'll just get rid of her then!" You exclaim, thinking of places to go.

"I-I don't know how to do that." Yuuki replies timidly. "I just got these powers. I don't even know how they work yet. I haven't tried actually moving through time... I wouldn't even know how or when to stop." He holds his head, clearly worried about this.

"I... Ngh, okay, don't worry about it." You say, rubbing his shoulder. "Still, you should transform. You might learn some powers, even if it's something as simple as 'pausing' Pepper. That alone would be useful."

"Heh, I thought you'd like it." She says, her eyes closed and face smug.

"Say," you ask, jumping out of the window, "MantiCore doesn't have your powers, does it? That might be bad."

"No, I haven't added them." She replies, following you. "Mind you, if she figures out how to copy powers, that won't matter. I can't imagine the chaos she'd wreak with access to time."

"No kidding..." You gulp, thinking of it. A god incarnate, effectively. You survey the field and see everyone ready for battle. Naru seems to still be tending to Sen, but at least out of the way. Hopefully she'll help when you need it. Unfortunately, Pepper looks to have a handle on her machine now.

"Maiden White... No, Makoto..." She mutters, each step a great crash on the road as she turns to face you. "You know, I really have to thank you. I'd been setting my goals far too low for my own good."

"You can't put that on me." You frown, glaring at her.

"Heh, so you say." She waves a hand. "I'd only thought of taking revenge on Vanilla and the others, but with this body... I could even take down Royale. Ironic really; it was her little project to produce the perfect magical girl, but she never considered her own robots for the job." She shrugs. Not names you recognize, apart from Royale being Robo's creator.

You point towards PepperCore, your right arm outstretched whilst your left hand graces your hips, legs spread. "Give up, Pepper!" You demand of her. "Or I'll give you SUCH a friendship speech!"

"Please don't." She replies flatly, remaining motionless.

"Ohh, I'lllll do it!" You say, leering at her and waggling your finger.

"I've had far more friends than you, Makoto, and all of them were more useful than the ragtag band you've put together." She says, gesturing to the lot of you, trying to surround her. "Constriction, Manipulating Water... a baseball Bat." She gestures to Shun, behind her, with a 'thumb'.

"Oi!" Shun yells, holding up her bat. "Don't you talk shit 'bout my bat!"

"Pathetic powers for pathetic people," she says, ignoring Shun. "But I suppose in mind hands, they can at least be of some use." You get the feeling that Pepper reaaally loves the sound of her own voice - odd considering she probably hasn't heard 'her' voice in several months. Still, that vanity is useful; if you can distract her long enough for Robo to line up a shot, then you'll have one hell of an opener. Still, you'd best avoid thinking about that, lest Pepper read your mind.

"All I need is 'We're not so different' and 'Join me' and I'll have a full row." She says with a smirk.

"As if I'd need any of you now that I have MantiCore." She growls. She raises one of the hands of the machine and starts to shift it, rearranging the parts. From the 'palm' extends a huge barrel, supported by the fingers, and she lowers to it aim at Yui.

"Ah!" Yuuki exclaims. "She's already got the plasma cannons!?"

"It's easy when you read the manual." Pepper replies, the barrel of the immense gun pulsating with energy. Yui doesn't look as smug anymore. You start to sweat when you hear your phone ring, having grabbed it after dealing with Mai.

"Makoto," you hear robo say on it, "I have a drop ready. Just say the word." With that, you smirk.

With only the briefest of seconds to react, all you can think of doing is punching it. You encase your fist in a sheath of Shining Manifest energy and take a step forward, throwing your fist out. Just in time too- the barrel of PepperBot's cannon erupts in a ear-shattering burst of sound and energy.

"Rnng! F-Fist of the Maiden!" You scream, at the top of your lungs. You hear panicked shrieks from your friends before they drown out from the sound of the weapon. It hits your shielded arm with the force of a speeding truck, crunching you into the ground as the road around you bubbles and boils away in an instant- vaporised. Your shield itself absorbs and destroys the energy as it impacts; effectively splitting the beam in half, but even it is having trouble due to sheer volume and force. You can feel your arm practically breaking under the pressure, but it manages to hold firm until the blast finishes.

You wobble, your knees weak and woozy, as your shield continues to sparkle around your arm. The ground around you, and most of the building to the rear, is nothing more than molten slag and crumbling matter. The gun barrel smokes, but still hums with energy; probably powering up for another shot.

"Absolutely stunning." You hear Pepper mutter, gazing down at you. "Point blank with a highly-charged plasma cannon, and you're absolutely fine... And then you ruined it with that stupid name." Not absolutely, you think as you cradle your arm. You can barely lift it right now...

You raise your hand up to the sky. "Now, it's my turn- Divine Friendship Bomb from Above!"

"Pft, what are you even-" Is all Pepper manages to say before several tons of metal collides with her from orbit. The road explodes into debris, knocking every single one of you back. You sail backwards, pinned against the wall of a building as dust and dirt fly past. With your ears splitting, you slowly slide down the side of the wall as the impact fades, leaving a gargantuan crater in the middle of the city. Small buildings nearby have simply fallen over from the impact alone, to say nothing of the windows for every building within a 100 metre radius.

"W-*cough*-Woo..." You manage to muster as you wobble to your feet. There's no way anyone could have survived a shot like that, you think as the dust clouds obscure your vision.

"Tchuuk huur...." You hear garbled among the sounds of machines whirring and clunking. The physical drop-pod; now solidified into a few chunks of machinery and robotics encased by shattered metal, slumps to the side, wafting around the dust.

"O-Or not..." You mumble, wondering if Pepper is still alive after a shot like that.

Your friends should be fine, they're actually in a better state than you are right now. What you need to focus on is finding that core - take out that and the whole machine will come crashing down. You leap into the dust cloud, landing atop a piece of broken metal. It's impossible to see properly right now, but luckily you don't need eyes to locate magical energy. After a hop, skip, and jump, you slide down a long piece of metal and stop just short of a rotating power generator, pulsating with energy.

"Jackpot." You think, holding up your hand as it erupts with energy.

"I'll say!" You hear a furious robotic voice grunt, just as a hand emerges from the dust, pinning you to the metal.

"Agh!" You shriek in pain as it clamps down, crushing you against the steel frame.

"Y-You thiiii_$&nk that could ki-i [NOT FOUND] KILL ME!?" Pepper asks as that singular robotic eye emerges from the dust, hoisted by a broken frame. Her voice jutters and repeats, like corrupted audio, mimicked by the frantic blinking of her eye.

"I g-guess not..." You mutter through strained breath. "But it sure was satisfying." You say with a grin. The hand clamps down harder, and you hear something snap.

"AAIGH!" You scream in pain. That was probably a few ribs.

"Twice I've come- I've come back from- back fro- death now..." She mutters, enjoying your pain. "Let's see y-you do the-the same..." She brings her eye close to bear, intent to watch as she squeezes the last vestiges of life from your body.

"T-This can't be it," You gasp as your vision starts to black out, "I can't die here..."

"Then watch your head!" You hear someone shriek, seconds before a hand bursts out of Pepper's eyeball.

"AAAIGH!" Pepper shrieks in an auto-tuned squeal as a red-hued hand pokes out of her pupil. Your jaw is firmly on the floor at the sight of this. The hand grabs the eye and shifts it to look at the hand, then holds out its palm. The eye erupts into a burst flash of light that easily dents the hand, and seems to shoot something else out of it. You gasp as the hand falls free; Pepper still shrieking from horror at what just happened.

"Quick, before she decides to use the other hand!" You hear someone gasp as the clutch onto your arm, dragging you away. You glance up to see Mai; entirely coloured in red.

"M-Mai!? You're alright?" You ask, stumbling quickly to your feet as the two of you slide down the metal frame onto the road.

"Yeah, well, we'll see. Almost half an hour stuck as a signal; I sure don't feel alright." She says with a faint smile, cracking her back. She looks down at herself and shudders. "Ugh, mono-colour displays; I'll be like this for a while. Tell your brother to invest in some better screens." She pokes you with her red finger.

"Oh wow, I've got so much to tell you!" You say, frantic over where to begin. Mai shakes her hand.

"Sen's okay and Pepper's in that thing. I know that much, you can tell me the rest later." Mai assures you. "I couldn't get back from the satellite, but I could still watch and hear you guys. Makoto..." You hear Mai sniff, shivering before you.

"Thank you!" She exclaims, hugging you tightly.

"Ow..." You groan, holding your ribs. Your healing is working, albeit slowly. You won't be running for a little while. "We need to take out the core, that's all that matters." You explain to her. "That was one hell of an entrance though." You say with a smirk. Mai flicks her hair back.

"I just figured maybe Pepper should get a taste of her own 'body-stealing' medicine for once. Wasn't much I could do from inside anyway; I barely made it down on that drop-pod." She explains, hoisting you over her shoulder and dragging you away. Huh, that explains her timely appearance. The dust from the impact is all but settled now, letting you see the immense damage that impact wrought. You don't think anyone is going to be driving on this road anytime soon. What disturbs you the most is Pepper, dragging herself out of the crater, sparkling with a strange allure of-

"Gold!?" You shriek, noticing the colour. A golden sheen springs up all over her, filling in cavities and replacing lost parts. Her legs crumble down into the crater beneath her, making her body slither along the ground on a golden coat of replacement metal.

"Hey, that's my thing!" You hear Saito scream, seconds before she smashes into her with gauntlets. To his credit, he actually smacks Pepper back a bit, pushing her down the road. However, with a smaller body comes greater speed, and she quickly swings an arm that smacks Saito backwards down the street. She flies backwards until caught by one of Yui's leather tethers, and falls down into a pile of Hiroko, safe and sound. Pepper glares at the show of teamwork.

"Little sssneaks." She groans, extending both arms into cannons. "AAARRGH!" She screams in an autotuned cry of rage as her twin cannons fire on the city in front of her. Both skyscrapers either side of the road explode into molten ash that rains down on the city below. Yui screams in agony as the fire hits her tethers, sending the pain back into her, and a similar story with Hiroko as she tries to avoid evaporating. With Glory Gold's power, Aoi extends a golden shield over both of them, avoiding the debris, as Shun leaps into the air to smack the pieces away.

"So cool~!" You whisper, watching them defy the odds. Unfortunately, a huge piece of debris Shun is smacking away flies dangerously close to the pair of you.

"AH!" Mai exclaims. Dammit, you can block this, but for two people!? You shield extends, but not far enough. You sure hope Mai can heal.

"Break." You hear before the piece of rubble explodes in the air, following a ripple in the air. You trace the source down to Naru, blowing on her finger.

"NARU!" Mai exclaims, leaping over to her. She embraces Mai with open arms, swinging her around lovingly. She almost looks ready to kiss her when she notices you there.

"Uh- Ahem, g-good work, Makoto. Pepper's hurting now." She says, giving you a thumbs up. Hurting, but not down, you think.

With Naru and Mai behind you, you lead them over to where Shun and the others are, huddled together for defence.

"Shun!" You exclaim as she smacks the final piece of falling masonry away. She glances down and smiles, landing next to you with a thud.

"Makoto!" She hugs you. "Super glad you're alright. That orbital thing was a doozy."

"Evidentially not enough of one." You say, seeing Pepper recharge her cannons. Saito breaks her shield once more, letting Hiroko and Umeki free. She's down to a glorified gold bikini at this point; sexy, but not too great for fighting.

Unfortunately, though you're all together, not one of you is in particularly great condition. Powerful though you might be, none save for Shun are used to extended activity.

"One shot..." Pepper grumbles, readying her cannons. "Just one shot and you're all gone." You can see the barrel of her gun glowing, ready to fire. Ngh, do you have another 'Maiden's Fist' in you? And no, that isn't a sex pun. FOCUS!

With Pepper's cannon charged, she aims at the lot of you, narrowing her vision. Then the street erupts with light as the beam streaks towards you. Closer, and closer, and closer, until it reaches you and lies there on the ground, wriggling and glowing.

"...Huh?" You exclaim. Did that beam... just turn into a worm? You peer into the dust ahead to see someone standing just ahead of the crater, right where the beam started to warp. Someone with brilliant, orange wings.

"Cinnamon!?" Shun exclaims, recognizing the girl. The one from Shun's story; capable of turning into animals?

"Hey." Cinnamon grunts, not even turning to face the lot of you. "Since when was 'blowing up cities' part of your modal opperdendi."

"We're not just going to leave!" You say, angrily stamping your foot. "Pepper tricked, betrayed, and tried to kill us! This is our fight, we need to defeat her!" You announce to Cinnamon.

"That's right," Mai says, backing you up. "She's been manipulating my friends and I for ages. This is personal."

"Mhm." You nod.

"And if you're here to back her up, we'll just beat you too!" Mai exclaims, pointing at Cinnamon. You spit out at that.

"M-Mai, easy! We don't need more enemies." You advise her. "Unless... you're here to save her?" You ask, on your guard. Cinna rubs the back of her neck.

"Man, I wish. The Black Pepper I used to know was a lot more fun than this ol' bundle of sticks." She sighs, gesturing to the robot, still monologuing.

"Well... if you're not here to help her, I'm guessing you're going to fight." You state. Cinna gives you a little finger gun and a wink as a 'yes'. "Then why didn't you help earlier!?" You ask, angrily.

"Because earlier she wasn't blowin' up a city. I mean, I thought she was just gonna do something when her case was running on empty- but not this." Cinnamon sighs, pushing her hair (feathers?) back. "Look, nothin' against y'all, but yer not exactly my priority. Keepin' Pepper from getting powerful is." She points again.

"Well you're doing a fantastic job." Yui comments bluntly. Cinna waves her wing.

"Oi, Oi! I just got here like two days ago. Cut me some slack." She grumbles

"If you don't care about us, then why did you mess with me like that!?" She asks. Cinnamon glances at her for a second, then smiles, a small twig between her lips.

"Oh... that just for fun." She laughs. Shun smacks her in the face with her fist, squarely.

"Oogh..." You moan, watching Shun pull her hand back as Cinnamon blinks. She pulls the twig out and throws it aside.

"...Fair 'nough. Still funny." She smirks, holding a finger up. "Haa~ fine, y'all wanna take down Pepper? Be ma' guest. Don't blame me when y'get yerselves killed" She gestures with her wings and arms towards the robot.

Your group passes by her, intent to finish this fight, but you stop just short and reach down to pick up the worm. Made of... plasma, you suppose, it feels really warm but otherwise seems like a regular worm.

"...Y'all gonna eat that?" Cinnamon asks, her chin on your shoulder, ready to peck the worm out of your fingers.

"Hmm..." You think, holding the worm between your fingers. You move it past her mouth and she grins, but you quickly snatch it back. "I'll admit I was thinking about it," you lie, "But, would you like it? I'll give it to you if you help us."

"You do know I can make like tons o' those, right?" Cinnamon asks, pulling her head back and frowning.

"Oh... right." You say, looking sad. "I guess then-"

"I didn't say no!" She quickly assures you, grabbing your shoulders. For a magical alien, she's surprisingly simple. You hand it to her.

"So what does it d-" And she slurps it up instantly, smiling widely.

"What it does... is be delicious~" She sighs,holding her cheek. YYrrk... Anyway, with Cinnamon 'bribed', you have whatever she deems 'help' to be.

With your team ready, you decide to make one final push against Pepper. Any more time wasted and you'll be too exhausted to fight anymore. First up, you all head towards the crater, leaping over it. Strangely, Pepper just stands there, at the edge of the city centre, watching you all.

"She's wide open!" Shun exclaims, summoning a ball. She smacks it towards Pepper, and it sails through the air. But once it gets close enough, you see a sudden spark of white energy erupt forth. "W-What?" Shun says, blinking as Pepper seems to exude some kind of arcane power from her hands. It fizzles the air around it- obliterating anything that gets close.

"That..." You say, skidding to a halt. "T-That can't be-"

"I believe you called this..." Pepper says, clenching her hand and coating it in the white energy, "FIST OF THE MAIDEN!?" She asks, pointing her arm towards you. It detatches at the wrist and fires itself at your team.

"ROCKET Fist of the Maiden!" You exclaim as it soars towards your group.

"Final Move: MAIDEN'S ENCOMPASSING AEGIS!" You scream at the top of your lungs, just as the rocket fist reaches you. The coat of white and your shield collide, but the fist doesn't stop. The last you do hear is your friends screaming out before you are obliterated by the energy.

"...Am I dead?" Were you alive to begin with?

"I don't know." Wait, are these my thoughts? "I don't..."

"...AH! Wait, I can't die!" Everyone's counting on me. "I have to beat Pepper! I have to save my friends- I HAVE TO SAVE THEM!"

You open your eyes and finally see again. The world stretches on around you, just as you remember it... but altered somehow. The fist is gone, but your friends are scattered. Pepper is lashing at them with lines of leather combined with your manifest. They slice through everything, absolutely unstoppable.

Cinnamon darts back and forth, avoiding the whips but keeping your friends safe as they try to fend off Pepper. But every time they hit her, she just grows the part back as gold. It's pointless.

"...Wait." You say, watching the world unfold as you hang, motionless in place.

"That's not right." Your eyes watch the energy of Pepper's whips. It's... wrong?

"She's using it wrong..." You mutter, realising what the power actually is; it's an absence- an error, a warp in reality. You glance down at yourself. Does that make you... a void?

"No, I need to be!" You say, holding your head. The world ripples around you, warping under your concentration. You grip your head tighter and tighter, causing the world to ripple more and more.

"What do I need to be..." You mumble, thinking of it. "...That's it!"

Everyone is spellbound- all but Pepper.

"I don't get it- You should be dead, you shouldn't exist!" She exclaims, stamping around. "What happened!?"

"Nothing, just a fisting." You say, smiling warmly. Pepper fires her plasma cannon at you.
