I don't see a huge problem with it. There's pretty harsh limitations on how long a two person fusion can last (too powerful = less time, too much damage taken in bursts = fusion fails). A multi fusion would probably only work well for lots of weak people.

You gather the girls and Raditz together, "Come on you lot, group training."

They pile in, all grumbling about their own projects for a few minutes, but throw themselves into it soon enough.

You square off against Risel, the two of you being closest in strength, while Raditz duels Teito, trying to increase his base power without resorting to the Kaioken.

Risel's picked up a lot of tricks from somewhere when you hadn't been looking, trying out new flourishing martial arts techniques, grappling and joint attacks. Must've picked them up on Earth, at a guess, though she has a bit of Nail's technique thrown in as well.

You deflect an attempted chop to your neck, as Risel starts to tap into her anger, her blows coming harder and faster, she's forcing you backwards, her power climbing higher, until you pull a trick, afterimaging behind her and striking her with a Bear Claw in the back.

The explosion sends her rocketing across the room, slamming into the wall, but surprisingly, she keeps herself in the air, despite the increased gravity. She rushes you down again, as across the room, Raditz pulls off what looks like a bicycle kick, Teito taking the punishment easily.

By the time everyone's stamina's run out, stomachs growling and muscles sore, you still don't feel all that much of a boost. The scouter confirms it, everyone barely eked out a power boost of 1000 or so, Teito even less.

It seems the benefit you can get from training in here is plateauing after Namek... you'll have to talk to Bulma about her new model some time.

Still, it's time to feast, the four of you tearing through the food locker, after a quick jaunt through the showers, everyone returns to their previous tasks, Teito explaining she's finally getting around to improving the guns she installed on the ship with some spare parts from Frieza's ship. You can hear Yamcha in Bulma's lab too, talking about something or the other.

You head towards the engine room, finding Teito with her head shoved inside the wall panelling, she uses her tail to pass herself a wrench, whistling as she works.

Something sparks inside the wall, loudly, but Teito shrugs it off, her tail hairs standing on end for a few moments. "Jerk."

You knock on the wall beside where her head should be. "How's the upgrade going?"

You can't see it, but you can tell she shrugged. "S'alright. Hand me a couple of ion plugs, would you?" You crouch down and grab a few, before removing another panel and leaning into the wall with her.

Teito hums after putting the plugs in place, tapping the wrench against a coolant vat. "If the ships gonna keep it's engines live, while still splitting power to the guns.... then we'll need to divert power after port 27... but before port 32...." She's mostly mumbling to herself, but you have just enough know how to correct her on that.

"33." You point out. "32 has spare capacity unless we kick in the FTL, and I doubt we're going to be shooting anything at FTL, are we?"

She snaps her fingers, "Good point." With a grin, she leans in and adds another plug at port 33. "Good thing we spotted that, could have ended up badly otherwise. Major feedback loop, coulda ended up stranded in deep space."

"Good thing I was here then." Teito winks, clicking her tongue, before taking a wrench to.... nope, no idea what that part is.

You give a hand for a few minutes in silence, both of you getting smeared with grease as you work, until Teito wipes some off her forehead with her tail. "Do you miss yours?" She asks suddenly, "Your tail, I mean. You lost it saving us...."

You head over to the computer console, pulling up a seat beside Raditz. "Hey kid, how you doing?"

"Hey Ms Kabuya, Uncle Raditz was just telling me about his cru-" Raditz mutes Gohan's audio 'accidentally' for a few moments, Gohan continuing to talk. With a cough, he apologises and turns the audio back on. "-And then he said, that your training's not paying off as much any more."

Ignoring whatever Raditz was up too, you shrug, asking him how he likes living on the ship with everyone else. "There enough room to play over there?"

Gohan frowns, "Not really... but I don't get much chance to play anyway. Whenever Mom isn't teaching me, Oolong and Puar are teaching me stuff, or Dad wants to train with me." He perks up a little, "But Nappa and I play hide and seek every chance we get, he's really good at it, for someone his size."

"How are the magic lessons going anyway?" You ask him, leaning forward.

"I'l show you." Gohan leaps out of chair and runs back so his whole body's on screen. With a bit of concentrated grunting, he disappears in a cloud of smoke, turning into... an exact copy of his uncle, "Rarrrg, I'm Raditz, I used to blow up planets for Frieza." He chuckles. It's kinda weird seeing the boy's voice come out of Raditz's mouth, but at least his uncle didn't take it seriously.

Another puff of smoke ad Gohan's back to normal, "I can't hold it very long though, so that's why I have to practice so much."

"You're doing well boy, just keep at it and you'll have it in no time." Raditz assures him. That was... uncharacteristically gentle of him.

"And everyone else?" You ask.

Gohan shrugs, "Diol and Tien are less angry now that their planets back, but I think everyone's kinda homesick. Especially Mom, keeps talking about missing the forest, and her dad."

So what is our plan to overtake this plateau the group has reached?

Zenkai is an answer, but with no healer on hand or senzu beans its harder to recover from life-threatening injuries.

Finding new techniques is another, but I doubt there are a lot of worlds out there willing to share their secret techniques to space strangers.

Everyone learning Kaioken or an off-shoot of it would be interesting but if everyone spammed it, then it would become lackluster imo.

You don't rise to her taunt, instead just raising the bet on the game.

They drop it, and a few minutes later, Raditz and Risel return, the usually dour Raditz smiling like an idiot.

Yamcha raises a hand, "Uhhh, guys, the food?" Risel blushes and rushes back to storage again, as Teito leans over and prods what looks like a bite mark on Raditz' neck. He hisses and slaps her hand away, but sits in silence, still smiling to himself.

The food comes soon enough, Yamcha covering his ears to block out the sounds as you, the girls and Raditz enjoy another meal.

About five times your own weight in food later, you're feeling drowsy, heading off to hit the hay with Bulma. Teito and Yamcha pair off, but Raditz shakes his head persistently when Risel points to her own door, pushing her towards her own, before locking himself in his room.

You crawl into bed with Bulma, laying a hand over her stomach as you fall asleep.
