Both Aritsu and Lyann inspect Eldric's clothing before leaving, which feels slightly humbling as Lyann brushes his hair just like his mother would, and Aritsu straightens his tie.

With all, it is quite nice to be looked after by two beauties.

The carriage arrives at the royal palace and stops smoothly. Two servants open the door and help us descend, then guide us into the palace's inner section.

Of course, we know our way already, but this is the way it would normally proceed, right? yes... us treestriding through the inner palace garden's plum tree is probably only possible because Ren doesn't really minds.

We are guided towards a nice room with polished white wooden floors and lightly decorated walls. The table is quite low, and there are pillows instead of chairs.

Mako is already waiting for us. She seems to be a bit taller than when we last saw her two weeks ago.,, well, she's at an age where it wouldn't be rare if she changed overnight, you know? Of course, she is still as adorable as always. Yes, she's like a doll with a precious smile, and her colorful clothes only seem to add to that impression.

She is actually wearing a rather daring dress that exposes her neck and shoulders, but on her, it just looks cute.

Yup, she's cute. It is obvious that she growing into a beauty, but the feeling one gets is just "cute!", there's no arguing about it.

She welcomes us without getting up. Well, she's a princess, so its probably proper etiquette in this situation.

After that, Ren arrives, and we imitate Mako, bowing slightly.

Well, she is wearing a similar dress to Mako, but while Mako's is light blue and white, hers is black with pink flower petals imprinted all over it.

Honestly, she looks just as cute as Mako, but also has an air where you wouldn't dare to say so.

Once we present our greetings and gift, she thanks us for coming, and takes a seat opposite Mako.

The princess whimpers softly, her eyes opening wide as we gently "catch" her hand with ours, and open our mouth while going "aaah"

Her milky skin goes bright pink as she looks at her sister for help, but Ren acts as if she hadn't seen a thing.

Her eyes start watering up a little bit as we hold her hand in public, but she manages to pick the chopsticks in her other hand and feed us a bite of the bowl's contents.

Her hand is trembling so much, that if we weren't holding it with our own, she would spill the (bowl's) noddles all over the table.

In order to "help her" with her trembling, Eldric gently catches her other arm by the wrist. Gently, of course, guiding the chopsticks to his lips.

"E-eeep!" -Mako is growing redder and redder, so we only have two bites before letting her go.

"Oh, that was so yummy!" -says Eldric
"Indeed, yummy" -says Ren with a little smile from across the table

"Ah, your highness, I was hoping you would accept an invitation to our island manor?"
"It would have to be tomorrow, miss Yin would lose a tail if she hears we had you for lunch and did not send you over to her for work"

"Perhaps you could have our sister and we for dinner and breakfast?"

Ah, the way she says such wonderful words is wonderfully lewd, while remaining perfectly polite. Even Mako seems to have caught up to its double meaning joke, and is now looking down at her food due to embarrasment.

"S-sister!" -she cries out
"Oh... maybe our sister would prefer if you were to have her alone for dinner and breakfast?" -she says without losing her smile

As Mako starts going into brighter shades of red, Ren stops and sits back down, looking as dignified as ever.

"Well, we will we waiting for you near sunset, then. Please go see miss Yin once you are done" -says the pretty empress as she claps to signal the servants that they should begin picking up the dishes and bringing in the after meal drinks.

Ah, yes, I have been thinking of what casual conversation would be like between lyann and aritsu. Of course the first thing that came to mind were lewd talks because im a perv, with lots of "no, you shouldnt use your hands, just your mouth", for example, thanks to Aura's terrible influence on Lyann through her pink books. But actually, then I realized that they probably can be friends and talk about completely work related themes, from spells to weapons and maybe food and clothes, tho Eldric should pop in from time to time since he's what brings them together in the beginning.

Aritsu seems to have no problem walking with the super high getta that we got for her as a joke, her feet going tap-tap on the wooden floor, while Lyann is wearing more sensible sandals, making them both look of the same height.

Miss Yin is flanked by piles of scrolls at either side as she kneels before the red wooden table, looking quite serious as she reads a scroll, holding it with both hands. Her back is straight and her posture seems perfect, except that her tails are up behind her and their tips sway back and forth with some speed, which as we have come to know actually means she is rather angry right now.

It is easy to guess that the fox beastgirl's mood is her fault, after all.

Regional - Oh, joy. There's regional variations of characters. In the north they use . instead of sticks and the words for some numbers are completely different.

Well, I can certainly understand why Ren wants to standarize numbers around the empire, but this will be a huge investment. I mean, huge. Huge as in "we won't be able to train any new soldiers this year" huge.

Playing it off, we start moving our hand upwards once more, as if we had planned to do so all along, slowly petting her up and down her back while we read. It seems to work, as she relaxed once more, but straightens her back.
