Some people just don't know when they hear a good thing.

You are Jack Albator, handsome seafarer, skilled swashbuckler, and now you're the town crier. You're trying to get everyone to fall for your ploy to leave this village, and stop trying to make this town their own. They weren't exactly brought here by choice, but some of them have accepted their fate and have started trying to make their niche in the village instead of thinking of a way to escape.
Some of them are being more than stubborn, and many of them think that they're stuck here forever and will never be able to leave. The promise of free beer seems to have dislodged all the loose and low-hanging fruit from the village, but some are refusing to even leave their houses.

Fortunately tearing down a house or two to get what you want isn't exactly beneath you.

You've almost cleared most of the village on this side. You need to leave soon if you hope to escape before reinforcements arrive.

The rest of the town seems almost completely empty, which is worrying. You would think that someone would have claimed this side of the town in the month or so of its existence.

That's when you see, him. He's standing in the center of the road.

"JACK, He yells, "I'M SO GLAD TO SEE YOU, JACK. I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT HOW YOU BEAT ME LAST TIME, JACK. I SWALLOWED A WHOLE POUND OF LEAD BEFORE COMING HERE JUST SO THAT WOULDN'T WORK THIS TIME, JACK."

The thing he wants now more than anything in the world is to fight with me and delay me. It's really bad now, because if he knows that I'm here then so does everyone else in the city.

That also means that reinforcements are either nearby or have arrived. I am in deep-

You immediately hop backwards and round the corner. He may be huge, but with your super speed, you should be able to lose him in the labyrinth of buildings and structures. You hop over one building, swerve around another, and then take refuge inside of a crevice behind an aqueduct.

Har, you'd love to see him find you here-
Behind you, maybe several blocks back, there's a crunching around. It stops for a second, and then another crunch. It's getting louder, and louder, and louder.

Finally, there's a massive blast as someTHING slams right through the wall adjacent to you, and then continues on through the wall of the building opposite of you. The whole time, he laughs and gladly slams the base of his head against another stone wall. The force of head full of superpowered bone to wall made of brick and mortar is enough to collapse some of the buildings.

That is why you're suddenly extremely thankful that you decided to evade him just now. That guy is a pain.

You come out of the safety of the aquifer. You brush off the dust and pieces of brick that you were showered with when Gilles decided to fly through the city. With any luck, that will throw him off for an hour or so. You wish to avoid conflict with that madman.
