And most quests I've seen with the D100 have a crit on 96-100, and critfail on 1-5, making them exactly as likely on either side.

Good QM's adjust the effect of crits to a level that corresponds to the likelihood of them occurring anyway, so if Tart is a good QM is issue is moot.

As the ground trembles, the graveyard seems to fall apart, the hands and other body parts moaning and shifting, melting into each other to form a much larger monstrosity.
It’s grotesque body and skulls form a mouth, its muscle and goreflesh turning into its appendages.
It looks at you, with an almost sleepy curiosity, like a fly that landed on its nose. Probably because that’s exactly what you did.

And that’s probably how you’re going to end up.
