A better question is whether or not it is viable to create a campaign setting based on spirit science.

Complete with Martian jews with uncontrollable magical spirit chariots and a giant stone spaceship buried under the earth that protects the world from alien invasion on a routine basis.
>>
We need to create a drinking game for this.
>>

>Complete with Martian jews
no, no, no martains and jews are two different alien species, jews come from an unknown planet in the far future because they weren't spiritual enough to evolve. Martains come from mars and have removed all abilities to feel emotion, that's why they're pissed all the time and want to take over the world.

I know this sounds like I'm mocking spirit science, and that was the intent, but the actual content is not too far off from this...

Actually it would make a pretty fun if stupid campaign setting imo. Player stats based on chakras, energy-woo magic, magic crystals, astral travel and channeling, secret histories and conspiracy theories, alien invaders, polar shifts, and ascending to other dimensions would make for a pretty good game. The major downside is there would be very little violence, it would have to be all hugs and dolphins or you'd fuck up your aura.

Also thanks for making this thread OP, I finally have a chance to use this image.
>>
>>41156438
Take a shot every time he butchers science by using scientific terminology in an entirely incorrect way, like pretty much every time he says "vibration".

Take a shot every time you catch him contradicting himself, like when he says the "sound of creation" is the monosyllabic "Om", and then later says it's "crystalah" or some shit.
>>
>>41156479
oh yeah, espicially when he butchers christian mythology, that deserves two shots for the fact that he's butchering a mythology most everyone in the modern world knows practically by heart whether or not they believe it to be true they know it quite well.

because it's one thing to butcher a somewhat obscure mythology most people probably don't know very well, it's another to butcher a well known and popular myth, like the Nativity.

all I can think is that it would ruin the crystal because it would end up covered in hard water deposits and lose its luster.
>>
>>41156637

Let's be fair, Spirit Science dude probably thinks dunking the crystal in for just a second is good enough. Hell, he'd probably think having a crystal NEAR the water is good enough.

There was a Chinese kid in my school who grew up in a shack in Guangzhou. Apparently China is actually Christianizing really fast in the countryside (the government allows it because at least Christians aren't Muslims) and he had the most hilariously inaccurate understanding of biblical mythology ever.

A problem they have in China is that the missionaries are bad at explaining the differences between the various characters, so a lot of them just assume that everyone who does anything cool is Jesus.

So Jesus is this guy who slew a million Romans with the jaw of an ass after being crucified. He was once eaten by a whale and then turned a city into salt. Then he wrestled an angel for a blessing and tamed a bunch of lions.

In light of it, they've got a pretty different perspective on 'ol Jebus than we do, to these rural Chinese people, he's a fucking war god who came to crush sinners and chew manna.

And he's all out of manna.

I'd say it only applies if they know for certain if they were West African, since they actually had kingdoms and nations. Otherwise no.

Though that won't help them, since it was those said kingdoms that sold them to slavery to begin with.

Plus half the time, most African Americans don't even know which tribe or region their ancestors are from, especially due to all the mixing that happened over the years due to trade as well as the lack of formalized education. The Black American is a massively different being than the actual African, and its very rare that you'll find someone with relatively pure blood.

>Child systems: Latin
>Parent systems: Egyptian hieroglyphs -> Proto-Sinaitic -> Phoenician

The gist of it is, someone in the Sinai saw hieroglyphs and copied them down badly, only using the sounds they represented. Then people copied them. Literally the only other people in the world who invented writing were the Chinese, the Sumerians and the Maya. Everyone else just copied one of them.
>>
>>41157433
>No. There's probably a difference between religions created "naturally" hundreds of years ago and religions created "artificially" like this spirit science stuff.
oh yeah, definately, naturaly formed religions were trying to explain shit they couldn't understand, while simultaniously instilling moral values into people who have no understanding of empathy and doing things for the greater good of the community, and are basically psycopaths. Also, these same lessons which are meant to scare the psychos into behaving well in society, can also encourage otherwise decent, caring folk into bettering their community.

meanwhile new agey crap is basically trying to shoe-horn mysticism into a world that DOES understand the forces at work around them, and rather than instill any kind of moral values, just offers some hollow, feel-good rhetoric you might hear from any motivational speaker

you gain harmony by hugging things, licking crystals, and converting people to the way of spirit science, you spend it to create vibrations, once a vibration reaches a high enough level it manifests in physical reality as your typical magical effect

a manifested Vibration that doesn't involve people hugging or lick crystals generates Disharmony and saps energy from harmonic vibrations and causing bad health in the universe

Those values are WAAY off. An hours meditation is okay for a minor, but a significant should be difficult to manage and a major should be the stuff a whole campaign revolves around.

Believe it or not, the people who eat this shit up are actually not as dumb as you think. In general, people who are gullible tend to have these traits

>contrarian
pretty much the seed from which everything else grows. They tend to be immediately skeptical of anything mainstream. This is why hipsters and other counter-culturalists tend to buy into this crap so readily, as well as reactionary conservatives. Pretty much all of this bullshit, from alternative medicine to space crystals to birthers and anti-zionists relies on making a common enemy of "the man" with the needlessly contrarian

>arrogant

Specifically, they need to view being correct as essential to their intrinsic value. Being wrong about something means they're a failure, and therefore being informed that they are wrong, or even having a contrary opinion is a personal attack. They are not an introspective bunch.

Finally, a trait reserved for the really die hard fanatics
>intelligent
yes, intelligence. Even though would think that no one with even an ounce of sense would buy this crap, but plenty of people of all intellects do, for the reasons listed above. Thing is though, stupid people will be out maneuvered quickly, and unless the ideas have been drilled into them since childhood, nothing's gonna stick long (in most cases, religion, political allegiance and racial/national awareness are what stick). An intelligent person, on the other hand will be able to out-wit the naysayers. That's not to say that the naysayers themselves will be convinced, but rather that the gullible one has to be an adept mental gymnast for bullshit to survive inside their own head. No one who's stupid is going to sit through an hour long video filled with obscure history and occult jargon, let alone understand and internalize it. Whoever believes this crap doesn't do so out of stupidity, but because being in a secret club of people who know "the truth" rubs their ego boners.

All five Apostolic churches have the right to call their head the Pope, tho afaik only the Copts, Catholics and Nestorians do so.

I wish I was stupid/crazy enough to believe shit like this, life would be such an adventure.

Also, is this dude the ringleader of the neo feminist movement? He seems to hate men (or the "male orientated part of the mind") with a passion so great he makes it sounds logical or obvious to believe in such hate, like "duh if your brain chakra is more % male than female you will kill and rape and travel the stars using the Star of David to conquer other planets with free leylines that are calling out to you through space and time".

Sumer is where EVERYTHING starts.

It's not proven that Egyptian writing was inspired by Sumerian, but it did come about centuries after the Sumerians started to write so it's certainly possible.

>>41169391

Indus Valley script still isn't translated, but its pretty certainly much younger than Sumerian. Sumerian texts talk about the people of "Mehhlua" coming to trade during the mid to late Sumerian periods, Sumerians actually really liked the Indus system of weights and measures, you find Indus Valley weights all over southern Iraq.
>>

Eh they use similar tactics to recruit but this Spirit Science goon is nothing new, the world has been plagued with self-important "mystics" since the dawn of time.

He's not really feminist at all. The whole "man warlike, woman gentle" thing is a pretty damned old trope. Hell, just compare Athena to Ares. Both are war gods, but their domains and way of going about it are different.

Also, he seems to have found books by some New Age theosophists, like Drunvalo Malchezidek, and then took them to heart and started gobbling things up and trying to understand it himself. Basically it's an idiot trying to understand other idiots, but being incredibly confused without realizing it.

A slug with a human upper body. Plus if you check his history he clearly just likes slugs for the futa, and forgets that Slugs don't really have sex like humans do. pic related, theyjust make genital flowers and use them to swap genetic fluid. Snails would be closer to what he wants, but that's kinda rapey

ND is only interested in boobs. take those away, and he loses interest.

I use to 4chan a bit, but left for 7chan when I learned that 4chan's /tg/ board wasn't slow as molasses. That was about 2008, probably only a month or two after Adslahnit's DC 80 escape artist check post. I'm even a semi-infamous namefag.

Plenty of people like boobs.
Also, slug sex with human bodies would be hot.
So would snail sex, but I'm into guro, so shooting semen spears and hoping to hit a uterus is hot.

Yes. And I returned to 4chan in 2008. I don't remember when I got there the first time, when I left, or how long I was gone for. Or did you mean that guy who said 2001?

He's playing at being a master ruseman with a very very old meme, I'm tired of seeing it.

thats a loose tobacco pipe, they dont work very well with pot. it starts to smell awful and they are very hard to clean.

with tobacco its fine, because tobacco smoke makes the wood smell more pungent, and it anti-bacterial.

What's the point of having such a long stem?

>What's the point of having such a long stem?
It cools the smoke and adds air to it. It's why shisha pipes were invented as well.

Yes, I apologize for bringing it up.

Seems stupid, especially considering the tone of most of these posts.
