For the hours that he had left on Earth, Gohan made his focus on training you and your group two-fold. First, he explained the idea behind the Kaio-ken technique, and while aware that he could not teach you to master it in the day he had, he was confident that you all could use the basics to go beyond what limits you have currently, perhaps one day truly learning to master it. The two steps for learning it require a sort of serene calming of the mind and body, and then "for a heartbeat" filling one's self with a "tranquil surge" of one's ki. Somehow it's like... "overclocking" it? It's not an easy concept to get down.

Gohan's other task is centered entirely on helping his grandson learn to overcome his natural weakness, his sensitive tail. At first you and your brother are doubtful he'd be able to manage it, and telepathically converse with Gohan over his... origins. Turns out Gohan was completely aware of Goku's aggressive, alien nature, and took him in anyway. While not knowing nearly as much about Saiyans as you do, he was able to figure out many things about them just through his time with the monkey boy. Explaining your own race's history to him, he is quite glad that Earth has served as a place where both Saiyans and Tuffles could exist without the bad blood clouding any interactions, even become friends.

...at the same time, he thinks that you would be a fine match for his grandson. You... disagree with him. Your brother teases you about Gohan's insistence in a very "shoe on the other foot" manner, to your own annoyance. In any case, you spend your time...

You initially try to figure out the Kaio-ken's secrets on your own. It... does not work out so well for you. You attempt what Gohan tells you the technique involves, but quickly realize that such a thing is... well, difficult is an understatement. You try to raise your own Power Level, but Gohan stops you before you end up hurting yourself. While impressed by your drive, he lectures you on rushing towards something you're not ready for.

He then repeats in his mind the idea that you're a lot like his grandson, given how driven you seem to act, and might make a great bride for the monkey boy one day. You reiterate your declaration that you don't have any feelings for Goku. Acer can barely contain his laughter. Shut it, brobro.

Still, you decide to make yourself useful and help Goku learn to overcome his weakness, if only because you're curious if a Saiyan can really do such a thing. It involves a number of... increasingly silly tasks, from the more sensible things like lifting weights with it, to more... well, you never quite thought you'd see the day where a Saiyan has several pretty bows ties to his or her tail, but there it is. Goku does, at least, seem to be less sensitive to it being grabbed, if only slightly. After several hours, Gohan finally says his goodbyes, and everyone seems to be ready for the task ahead.

Making sure you have your Spirit Bits prepped to be used at a moment's notice, you and everyone else are all set on heading off and facing the demon threat. Time to punch a Demon King in the face! Initially you offer to carry Trip to where you need to be going, but she declines, with Goku calling the Nimbus for her and the woman hopping on. Well what do you know.

As the six of you arrive near the place where the demons have congregated, now noticeably past sunset, you quickly notice hordes of them out and about... partying. In the distance is a castle, and a small town near it, where most of the demons seem to be around. None of them seem all that powerful, and your Scouter only picks up readings of around 200 to 300 at most. Landing, the first sight and sounds you see are some demons... with large quantities of apparently alcoholic beverages.

"CHUG! CHUG! CHUG!" they chant as a particularly large one drinks an entire barrel, then crushes it on its face, to the cheers of the demons around it.

"Wuh..?" the large demon turns to face you, with the others surrounding it doing the same. Wow he is an unpleasant-looking fellow. Unpleasant-smelling too, sheesh, the smell of booze barely even covers it. "Hrrgghh... human, you should not be outdoors." he says with a malicious grin. "We rule the night here. Am I right?!" he asks the others, to their cheering.

"You should not be here, period. You know what rules you and your King have broken." Trip says with fire in her voice, removing her mask. Aww... oh, right.

"Actually we're here because of that. We're looking for a Demon King to punch in the face, mind giving us directions to him?" you ask with the most innocent smile you can muster. The demons start laughing.

"YOU are here to fight King Shura?! Oh that's rich, humans! That's rich!" the large demon lumbers towards you. It's not exactly strong, in fact seems to be among the average of the ones here. And seems to be drunk off its ass.

"Not very well, it seems." you hover over and give a shrug. He stumbles up. "See, it's funny that you used 'rich,' since I actually was once." you tap your chin with your finger. "But that's not the point, the point is I still want to punch Shura in the face. Mind pointing me his way?"

"YOU BITCH!" he lunges at you. You dodge easily, only for Goku to smack it in the face with his Power Pole, sending it flying back. "Oww... y-you..." he groans. Wow is he a sucker for punishment.

You crack your knuckles. "Last chance." He runs at you in a drunken fury, nearly tripping over himself. You uppercut him and then have your Spirit Bits fire at him again. He goes down for the count.

Trip steps forward, the other demons trembling. "You know what you should do."

"Men, it's times like this that we have to take the most logical approach to a situation." one demon, a particularly powerful one for the group, steps forward. He immediately turns around and shouts "RUN AWAY!"

The demons start fleeing, and you can hear humans start to mutter in the houses.

"Oh thank you! Thank you!" an elderly gentleman shakes her hand. "But... the situation is most dire... they done more than that. Our dear Princess Misa was taken by them! Please, if you can explain what you're about to do to the King and Queen, we would be ever so grateful!"

"That sounds like a reasonable thing to do." Trip smiles at the fellow, but you can tell that she's worried by the comment that confirmed what you saw in Baba's crystal ball. "Maple, we should head there, they may be able to explain some things that will be helpful in the upcoming battle."

"Plus there might be a reward!" Krillin adds. "And if there's a Princess to rescue... heh heh..." He smiles like he's expecting her hand in marriage.

At the castle, you are introduced to the King and Queen, your brother adamant about you showing proper respect to them and not causing a scene. Immediately you see Goku stuffing his face with some of the food presented for you "heroes," Trip sighing.

"Still hasn't changed that part of himself." she thinks aloud.

"Well, it's sort of hard. He actually needs a lot to eat." you mention to her.

"It's not the quantity so much as the-" a bone flies past you both, "-method."

"Sowweh!" Goku says with his mouth full of a drumstick. Chi-chi still seems to be staring at Krillin awkwardly, the bald boy not noticing. The King and Queen seem like they want to get down to business.

"That is... reasonable." Trip rubs her chin. "There may be other reasons as well..."

"In any case, we can certainly reward you for defeating him and rescuing our dear Misa." the Queen states.

"Sounds like a plan!" you shout. Chi-chi is still staring awkwardly at Krillin. You lean over and whisper to her, "Something wrong? Look, if Krillin likes boys too then there's no need to judge." Her face becomes an embarrassed bright red. "I mean, I think. I dunno, he did call Upa a girl..."

"His forces seem to be shy of the rising sun, perhaps they fear light?" the King guesses.

"It depends on how they leave the Demon Realm, and how strong they are. Weaker ones fear the light. If Shura is powerful enough, it would take a large amount of light to do anything." Trip comments.

"Then it's settled! Let's pack some food to go and head off!" you pump your fist in the air, Goku doing the same. On the way there, you tell Chi-chi to stop staring at Krillin and just ask him about it. She's... reluctant, but agrees to do so eventually. Maybe when there are less pressing matters. You then discuss the "Path of the Eight" with Trip. She explains that it is a sort of spiritual awareness of the world, and knowing the "Right" methods of greater awareness of things. Doing so can create significant benefits to one's self and others.

The six of you, escorted by the King's army, arrive at a large door, held open by a blade. The soldiers wish you luck and then quickly turn back like they left their stoves on. Stepping inside, you notice a number of far, far stronger demons. In fact, your Scouter seems to pick up one nearby with a Power Level of 900. Another of 650 even closer by.

"So you're aware of this." a feminine voice calls forth, a small blade appearing before you in the ground. Another demon appears on the shoulder of the first, the one with a Power Level of 900, and... hey, you've seen her too. Pink hair, blue outfit, pale pinkish skin... "Perhaps we can help each other out after all."

"Melee, are you sure?" the tall one asks. "What could THEY do against King Shura?"

"Teach him humility and restore the system King Yemma put in place, is my hope, Gola." She hops down.

His eyes widen and his grip seems to loosen. You immediately bite at his thumb, causing him to shriek in pain, then slap you with his other hand. However, you quickly point your finger at his wrist, and with an added bit of Lightning...

"Geist. Magnum." You say as you fire at him. He immediately lets go of you, you falling to the floor and rolling under him. Goku and Chi-chi stand and fire Kamehamehas at him, the Demon King barely having enough time to avoid them. The rest of the demons seem blinded. As Shura stands on the ground, you notice Trip's Power Level indeed pick up to 500 on your Scouter, but there's something odd about it. Krillin and Acer barely manage to stand, but seem better off than they were.

"Samma Vaca!" she shouts. Suddenly, Shura's Power Level seems to plummet, down to half of what it was. Trip stands still, holding her staff pointed towards him. "Goku, the Princess!"

"Got it, Trip!" he shouts as he moves towards Misa, picking her up.
