First, we fought a lot of girls with wings. Then brother added them to his menagerie.
It was hard to fight them without hurting them.
They smell like dry twigs and grass. It is a fun scent. It makes me think of a garden.
Zoe and I got a bath after the fight.
Big sis Lyann said she was making sure we didn't catch any ticks from those girls.
I am going to sleep with Zoe in our own room.
It is a rented room inside a inn, but we get to stay up as late as we like.
Still, I am pretty sleepy, so I think I will go to sleep now.
Also, the [Nice-scent Princess] went home today.

We were super sneaky today!
There was a bandits hideout in the mountains, so we cleared it out.
Then, it turns out they were not bandits, they were soldiers.
But they were attacking the people in the area, so they were bandits. I think.
Well, brother asked mister Brass and mister Python to take some of them back to Albion.
They were researchers, so maybe they will join the university?
The rest of the bandits (soldiers?) are being sent to the orcs capital to be sold.
Being a slave is not fun at all. You shouldn't do bad things so you don't become one.

** 20th day of summer, 15ac **

While traveling with the orcs to their capital, brother has been playing with and petting Zoe and I a lot.
I love brother. My tail wags wags when he pets me behind the ears or under the chin.
After that. I went playing with the winged girls. They're actually called harpies.
Once we found some monsters, brother went and fought them.
Then he added one of them to his menagerie. Its name is [Fahima]
I guess she's a girl? But she's also a snake.
She is what you'd call a [Salamander]
Well, she seems nervous, but it's fine!
Because brother is nice!
She will start liking brother soon. I am sure.
I am a little annoyed that Fahima can get away with being nude and I cannot.
But she is always in flames, so I guess it can't be helped?

We arrived at the orc's capital. The buildings are not very tall, but they look sturdy.
Brother placed a collar on Fahima to turn off her [Aura of Flames]
Now she is wearing a long silk shirt and a short robe, and some jewelry.
She looks nice, but I bet wearing clothes for the first time must be annoying.
We went to the public pool and played a lot!... well, Zoe says it was the public bath.
But a bath is something you have in your home, right?
Grandfather had a pool in his house's backyard. It was big and fun like that, so it was a pool.
So I am going to call it a pool.
Zoe, Mr Crabby, the harpies, Atroma, Miel and I went into the kid's pool
Fahima wadded a bit in the shallowest end. I guess she never tried swimming before?
Brother, Lyann and [Elf Princess] went into the grownups pool
Nothing important happened today, but it was a fun day.
I will try and get brother to take us to the pool tomorrow as well.

Well, I ended 99.95% blind now, but hopefully the surgery will stop the process and I won't go blind. I'm also using Timolol, which is a "soft" glaucome medicine since my eye pressure is at 17 and 15 is normal. If the eyedrops drop it just 1-2 points, I should be fine.
There were some plain-out amazing errors at the hospital, but thankfully none that turned out horrible in the end.
Please vote for an option.
Also, I thought about it and decided that actual descriptions of sex could go in pdf or extra time threads. Since I was lying down with absolute rest for like 3 weeks, I have plenty of ideas for those. So much so that if we had them in the regular thread, it would just turn into a smut thread, I think.

Eldric leans in and catches the tip of her right ear with his lips, enjoying the soft texture and girly taste as his hand moves down to cup and caress her shapely bottom.

Well, they could enjoy a morning bath all together, but there won't be anything left of the morning if they get rolling, so instead they clean up with some minor magic and then dress up to go look at the city.

By noon, they should show up at the regent's palace, but until then they're free to walk around.

Lyann dresses up in her dancing suit (it's also her armor, so its quite convenient that way) while Aritsu dons her school uniform.

As it is the summer uniform, its skirt is on the short side, and it has no stockings. It gives a very fresh, nice impression. Either way, she buttons the shirt all the way up and even dons the small lace tie.

Well, she is a rather serious girl when it comes to rules and regulations, isn't she?

Still, she looks quite nice.

Thus, we gave instructions to Zoe and Stella to stay close to the inn, and then left through a tree in a corner.

Instead of emerging in the peach tree at the middle of the imperial palace, tho, we come out through one of the trees in our manor's garden.

If we came out in the palace, we would definitively get dragged by Ren into something. Plus we would want to hang out with Mako.

This is meant to be just a quick little thing.

Right. We greet our butler and take a chariot downtown. Fahima was a surprise, but not to the point where people stopped to stare at her. There were even entire suits that were apparently designed for her body type.

Well, we haven't seen any wandering about, but it seems like creatures similar to her are not that uncommon in the Heavenly Empire. Will check later.

It took a little under an hour. We went back to the manor to return the chariot, and made it back to Petak, the orc's capital.

By the way, they don't have horses in the Heavenly Empire. The chariot was pulled by a delicate, soft pale insect similar to a praying mantis, if praying mantis were made of flowers. Very elegant indeed.

It's not as if it was the standard beast of burden in the city, however. Apparently, it was a gift Ren sent us. Hopefully it's not a taboo to put it to work, like with a white elephant...? no, our butler would have warned us. Probably

Anyway, Fahima looks rather elegant and somewhat alluring with the silken sarong. Its pink, so it seems almost clear on her bright red scales.

For now, let's store her in our menagerie once more. Uhmm... we still have most of the morning until we need to go to the palace, what to do?

Of course, lewd things pop up right away. No, bad Eldric! It is the girl's fault for hanging from our arms like that!

Right, let's walk around and watch the city. That's what we set out to do, right?

The people look quite healthy, or should I say that they look fit? everyone seems to have athletic builds, and their clothes are quite light, showing them off.

Well, they live on top of a volcano, and the place is quite hot, so there's that. Also, there's lots of private arenas and public bath houses.

It feels somewhat roman, minus the decadence. Maybe greek would be a better term.

The guards ARE wearing heavy leather armor, however. It shines in a way that suggests it is not inferior to iron armor.

The streets are smooth and paved with tar. I guess it is readily accessible, but it gives the place a very modern look in our eyes. Maybe we could trade for tar with them?

The buildings are solid, made from heavy stone blocks. Since it is volcanic rock, it is black and plentiful. They seem to like painting the buildings white, however.

Must be a hassle to keep clean with the periodic ash rains. Well, it may also be a matter of pride for your own residence or place of work. That's a good thing, I think.

There are only orcs on the streets, albeit they don't seem bothered by our presence.

I sort of want to say "Hey, this here is an elf, you know? an elf!" but it looks like they really don't mind.

Is it something like, it is hard to be allowed into the city, but once you are inside, it's alright?

Anyway, their weapons and armors don't seem like anything special, but the same could be said of the "standard" items sold anywhere else. You always need a contact to get the really good stuff, anyway.

Well, we ended up at a health & fitness shop.
Just how obsessed are these orcs with hygiene and exercise!?

Oh, they are selling our soap at premium prices. We shouldn't think ill of such loyal customers.

"Hey, Isn't that..." -Lyann spots a large crystal flask full of our soaps. It looks quite luxurious

We gesture her not to say anything, and then look around with the girls.

Oh, there's a large variety of massage oils, and even tanning oil and... oh, finally, shampoo! for the first time in this world, someone is selling shampoo!

Don't get me wrong. In this world, we had long noticed that girls seem to naturally smell delicious. Lyann has a fruit scent on her at all times, for example.

Plus, there's no dandruff. as far as we know.

But our modern soul is just so happy to see the thing being sold, at last!

There's also tattooing supplies. Well, it's not as if we are interested in those, but it is the first time we see them, too. It would be nice to add them to our stores stock, and to the list of goods our ships carry, right?

Uhmm... there's magical tattoo ink.... no, still, no. It can expand your item box? well, that sounds like it would be useful to the average low level person, but our item box is quite vast... oh, right, nobles don't start with one by default.

Uhmm... let's add that to the list of goods we sell, if we can.

There's lots of varieties. Will need to check them all in more detail later. It would be nice if there was ink to add to our defenses or attributes in a percentual manner.

Well, they have lots of jewelry, but most of it seems to be purely decorative. It is beautiful work. It's just non-magical

They have zero magic items other than inks, so far. Maybe their crafters are overspecialized on it? either way, there's a market to be exploited here.

Oh, they have some interesting hygiene kits, including shaving razors and soap. Come think of it, the orcs we've seen so far have zero facial hair and... we thought baldness was common among them, but many have mohawks or fancy haircuts, so maybe its just a fashion thing.

Eldric picks up a shaving kit and some shampoo, then pays the clerk for it.

"What is that for?" -asks Lyann while looking at the bottle (of course, no such thing as a plastic bottle in this world) and the kit

Once they pay and leave, they go downtown and walk around for a bit. There is a plaza, but rather than a tranquil place of nature, it is completely covered in tar and square rocks and used as a market.

Well, there's places like that, too.

As noon approaches, they go back to the hotel to pick up Stella and Zoe, as well as Miel and Atroma.

Of course, they leave Fahima out of the menagerie before they head over to the regent's palace.

The palace is simple but elegant. Or perhaps is it elegant because it is simple? the stones are painted white spotlessly, and the guards are at attention, unlike the guards at the entrance of the orc town you visited last.

Inside, the decoration is quite simple, with thick wool and leather carpets and weaved artworks hanging from the walls.

The floors are bare, however, and there's no such thing as flower pots anywhere.

You do spot a weapon hanging from the wall here and there. These are clearly decorative pieces, rather than functional ones.

The regent is a tall, if somewhat slim male with finely chiseled muscles. His face looks somewhat flat, with a complicated haircut that includes tight braids along the sides of his skull.

Overall, he exudes confidence and gives a very good impression as a ruler.

Thenks to your efforts, the orcs will allow the salamanders back into the lava pools under the city. This marks the beginning of a new chapter on inter-racial relationships for the two species!

Afterwards, the regent says that your group will always be welcomed in the city, and invites you to enjoy the place.

As his personal thanks, he also says you could pick one among the bandits you captured to keep as your own, or receive the status of adventurer in the local guild, so you can pick up missions for the guild and earn further trust from his people.

Since we don't need an alquian soldier following behind us all the time, the last choice is probably better, right?

Uh... these missions. This is clearly outside the "starter are" isn't it? well, it's not really a problem with how over leveled we are. The rewards seem nice, but honestly, we can get better stuff crafted thanks to our contacts.
