In the weeks following the incident at Dream Land, things seemed to normalize again. Launch did her community service as asked, if slightly irritated by how dull it apparently was. Even more so by the antics of the Officer that arrested her, Launch describing her as something "between incompetent, lazy, and crazy genius all at the same time." You're starting to wonder if she's from Penguin Village, certainly fits their mindset better than the ones you're used to here.

Meanwhile, you've been busy catching up on the magic, really delving into this new Lightning Magic. What you learn already allows you to truly master the Lightning Flash Surprise technique, though it's still quite draining. Yamcha keeps up his training, not skipping a beat, while your brother heads out on his own for a while, checking up on Korin and Baba. Goku and Krillin continue their adventures together, while Chi-chi does much the same on her own. She mentioned to you how amazed her father was at her new strength after chasing off some bandits tried to raid their home village. She also mentions the idea of hunting monsters that have been terrorizing villages as a form of training, something you might want to check up on some time.

Bulma has made some progress on the EMP resistance of the Pirate Robot. While it's still as strange, and barely coherent as ever, it seems to at least acknowledge you for not issuing its termination. That and it seems deathly afraid of your used camels, who are apparently enjoying their time at Capsule Corp. Such a good deal. Sadly any further data you can gather from the Pirate Robot is going to be limited, and you might have to return to that Pirate Base some day...

Focusing on mastering this new bit of magic, you first manage a new technique with it. Similar in concept to the Lightning Flash Surprise, your technique sets a sort of "marker" via ki and then calls down a bolt of electricity. It might leave you vulnerable for a few seconds as you set it, and it takes a lot of energy, but the result is astounding. Anything that isn't resistant to electricity is in for a tremendous surprise. You're not quite sure what to name it just yet, though "Poltergeist Blitz" seems like a good one. This might be your strongest move yet.

You also find that you might be able to learn how to charge a little bit of Lightning Magic into your other ki attacks, but that'd take learning how to do it for each one individually. Still, a bit of added "oomph" might be helpful in a tricky situation. Could be worth figuring out.

Days, weeks, and eventually months pass, with you spending some more time with Bulma, Yamcha, and Launch, even getting a little Christmas celebration together at Capsule Corp. Your camels were even more than willing to help set up decorations there. Damn, that was a good deal. You might want to give those camels all names some time. Baragon busy training by himself while the tiger simply waits around, apparently becoming quite friendly with Puar.

You and your brother get a few neat things for Christmas. While the history behind the holiday seems somewhat strange to you and partially lost to time, it's apparently been a thing on the planet for nearly 700 years, and it's a nice little time of gift-giving, at the very least. Bulma gives the two of you a pair of cool sunglasses that are slightly based on your Scouters, though more limited, just with a little HUD that displays time and location. Tights gives you one of her recent novels, and suggests that she interview you both about Tuffle history some time. In return, you give them both some rather pretty new dresses, while your brother goes with a more practical watch. You also decide to name the camels, one being Curly, one being Larry, and one being Moe.

By the start of the New Year, you've worked on enhancing the Geist Magnum with Lightning. It takes about double the energy to use this as the regular technique, but it's also quite a bit stronger, and if it connects it should leave the opponent in for quite a shock. Heh heh heh. Your brother groans at you for thinking that. He also decides to do the same, enhancing the Kamehameha with Fire magic.

By the end of January, Bulma and you talk about going to the Pirate Cave again, and decide to plan the trip. Acer, Launch, Yamcha, and Chi-chi all come along for the ride, your brother deciding to stick with Yamcha and Chi-chi while you head out with Bulma and Launch. Your two teams arrive at the underground port, still as eerie and spooky as it was last time you were there. Hopefully more quiet, this time.

You all arrive at the computer room, and Bulma quickly checks on the displays.

"Heh, music to my ears." the blonde woman says with a bit of a grin. You locate the treasure, then let her check on it with a map of the base. Next up on the list, the Pirate Robots...

"Who else would even know about this place?" Bulma rubs her chin. "It doesn't make much sense... unless..." Her eyes widen, and so do yours. King Piccolo, but... you immediately motion for her to check. To your relief, there's no new signs of King Piccolo, but... it registers something new. "Demon activity detected." You quickly copy down the coordinates mentally.

"I'll let brobro know, now for what we came for..." you send a telepathic message to your brother, Bulma going back to the Pirate Robot. You check it's location... and find out that it's now active.

"SHIVER ME TIMBERS." It attempts to dodge the ten year old firecracker of a girl lunging at it, to no avail. You break off its machinegun arm, leaving a crack in the wall behind it.

"Bulma! Turn your Scouter off, quick!" you shout at her as you do the same. You lunge at the machine, breaking a leg off and causing it to stumble. You quickly move to grab the thing and quickly fly it out of range. A hum seems to fly from the machine's body, giving a strange sensation throughout yours, causing you to smash into the hull of the submarine in the base.

"W-W-W-W-WALK THE P-P-P-PLANK" it stutters at you as you get up, regaining your balance and grabbing the thing by the tail. You quickly fling it out of the submarine, then kick downwards, breaking off the tail and causing it to go crashing into the ground.

"Sis, are you all right?" your brother comes rushing towards you, Yamcha and Chi-chi behind him. With one leg to stand on, it seems like the machine won't be much of a threat. Yet... it seems to be looking at you like it still is one.

You poke the machine a little, a cheeky grin on your face. "Wasn't to late to parley, you know!"

"YE BE SHARK BAIT SOON." it replies in the same tone, but seems somehow... angrier? The jet on its back starts up, and thinking quick, you decapitate the machine with a kick. The head and body fall down in two separate pieces, the body now limp and the machine no longer seemingly glaring at you.

"Jeeze sis, calm down a little, didn't need to cut its head off." brobro mumbles, backing up from the now headless body.

"Actually, she did." Bulma's voice can be heard from above, Launch carrying her down. "The machine's weapons are linked to the head, and it has no way of emitting a wireless signal to the rest of its body. Decapitating it is the easiest way to disable, turns out."

You sigh with relief, but still resign to watch over it while everyone else goes to gather the treasure, now just you and Bulma with the machine. "Are you going to cooperate now?"

"YARR." is all it gives as reply.

"It's strange that it activated all of a sudden... maybe it was linked to some alarm?" your friend ponders. "Or maybe whoever was here last was planning something, a surprise in case anyone else found the area..."

"Some ideas, but they're all in jail, last I checked." She looks over the machine's immobile body, taking out a large storage Capsule and putting it inside. "Pilaf is still in Penguin Village, I'm sure. Gero is rotting in jail. Can't really think of anyone else who's an expert in robotics that would have a use for these..."

"Fair point." you say as you try to spin the head on your finger like a ball, almost fumbling and dropping it. Bulma giggles slightly. "Er, um, how about that 'Demon activity' thing?"

"Best guess I have is that there's some kingdom in trouble. I... don't think it's related to any of Piccolo's schemes, I doubt he has any kind of plan like that, but still, it sounds like trouble." She rubs her eyes and leans back. Seems a lot more tired than she's been letting on. You wonder if it's something related to Yamcha, but before you can ask the others return, Launch with the most gleeful expression you've ever seen on her face.

"There is an entire block of gold the size of a HOUSE in there!" she shouts. Yamcha, Acer, and Chi-chi seem more stunned than anything, each of them with a couple Capsules in their hands. "We'll have to come back for it some other time, but... wow." It's strange seeing Blondie Launch so... happy. Seems at least for her, the trip was worth it. On your way up, Bulma and Launch stick with you while Acer, Chi-chi, and Yamcha all head out in the other sub. You have some time to kill, maybe a short conversation or two.

"Not much of a conversationalist either, it seems." you grunt at it. You all make it back to Capsule Corp. without much else in the way of incident. Well, there's something new for you and your brother, it seems, and you don't want to pull Yamcha or Launch out of training any longer...

Deciding that it might be the best bet in finding the demons, at least until you can sense something big, you and your brother decide to tag along with Chi-chi on her little monster hunting expedition for a while. You first meet up at the Ox King's village again, the giant of a man overjoyed to see you both. He thanks you personally for helping his daughter get so strong, to her embarrassment.

First couple weeks of monster hunting seem rather calm, relatively, as you first save a nearby village from a snake monster with eight heads and eight tails, apparently enhanced by demonic magic. While it could have been easy to simply SMASH the thing, it had apparently taken hostages. Chi-chi hit upon the idea of getting the monster to release the hostages somehow, which you all managed via getting the monster drunk off its ass, tricking it into going for several bowls of sake. With the hostages secured, Chi-chi used her Power Slicer technique to remove the monster's heads. A man from the village helped you take care of the corpse of the monster, and was both pleased and yet saddened to discover his lost grandfather's sword in the monster's body.

Your next task arrived when you were warned by a fleeing couple of a monster called "Inoshikacho," a beast that was "half-deer, half-boar, half-butterfly."

You are reminded of how strange the planet can be at times.

"Well, seems like we've got a clear mission on our hands!" Chi-chi says with an enthusiastic fist-pump. "Come on, this'll be easy!"

"Heh, we're no ordinary kids! You're looking at some of the Turtle School's finest! Maple and Acer Mahogany, and the brilliant and talented Chi-chi!" you declare, your friend giving a wide grin as your brother shrugs.

"Students of the great Master Roshi? Then... well, if you think you can stop it, please!" they both beg you all. They point you in the direction of the village, and you arrive... only to find that it's been caught, with two individuals standing next to it, a tall young man with three eyes and a short boy with pale skin.

"InoShikaCho is dead!" the man declares, to the cheers of the villagers. Except... you can clearly sense that it's still alive. Even your Scouter is giving you a reading of 180.

If it's playing dead, then everyone there might be in danger. You motion to Acer and Chi-chi to head down. Making your way through the crowd, you approach the other two monster hunters. "Guys, that thing is still alive, be careful."

"W-wha-?" The tall, three-eyed man stares at you suspiciously. "And how would you know that?"

"We can tell." Acer comments, and walks over to the monster, placing his hand hear its snout. "Look, you can feel the thing still breathing."

"Oh no, then it tried to trick them!" a villager shouts in terror, all of them backing up. "InoShikaCho is playing dead, but why?"

The two look at each other somewhat nervously. "Well, then do with it what you will." the taller one says. "Our job is done here. We'll have our payment now."

Something about these two seem strange. Perhaps they're aliens? One way to check. You clear your throat and prepare the Universal Greeting. "Bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong."

The young man stares at you like you're insane while the small person's expression stays the same. "A-are you making fun of me, little girl?!" He clenches his fists, then gains a malicious grin. "That is not a wise thing to do."

Yeah, they're Earthlings. And apparently jerks.

The smaller one's Power Level clocks in at 180. The air fills with more tension. This is getting more and more fishy. "Look, I don't mean to judge, but you two could have handled that thing together, how did it trick you? You both seem like you're competent enough."

"You watch your tongue you brat!" he roars at you. The villagers back up a bit more, even the InoShikaCho seems to awaken at the man's shouting.

"Tien, we should leave soon." the smaller one mentions. Man he seems creepy. Chi-chi stares at him, tilting her head.

"You didn't answer my question." you squint at the man. He grits his teeth. Suddenly the monster seems to come loose, running off.

"Well look what you did! Now all that effort trying to catch it and YOU let it go! Are you kids in league with that thing?!" he accuses, pointing at you. Now that was a suspicious thing to say.

"Here you folks go." Acer comments as he arrives with the InoShikaCho, the beast looking at him in terror. "One boar-deer-butterfly, ordered raw, hold the sauce." He sets it down in front of the villagers, then sits on top of it. The monster doesn't move, it merely looks at Tien and the other boy. You inform him of what you learned, then Chi-chi.

Your friend stares at them in fury. "You think you can just go around and ruin people's livelihood to make a quick buck?!" Chi-chi takes a fighting stance. "This is unforgivable! You people should be ashamed of yourselves!"

"I will not stand here and be lectured to by a bunch of brats!" Tien shouts. Looks like he wants to fight.

"...Chiaotzu." Tien mentions to his comrade. The little pale white boy holds his hands out, and you can sense energy build up from it. Yeeeaaaahh no. You leap at him and deliver a palm strike to the gut. Not very strong, but just enough to knock him down. Tien is stunned by your speed, then even more stunned by Chi-chi's fist making contact with his face. He goes flying back alongside Chiaotzu as you and Chi-chi give a little fist tap.

The villagers look on in awe, as your brother mentions that he's even stronger than either of you girls. "Though I don't think I QUITE have my sister's... disposition. You should see her when she gets serious."

"H-how... how are you little girls so strong?!" Tien growls as he struggles to stand. "There's no way the Turtle Hermit could have trained anyone to such level of skill!"

Tien, Chiaotzu, and the InoShikaCho all leave with their heads lowered, the two picking up the monster and flying off with it. The villagers start to cheer for you all and thank you for salvaging the mess that was this incident. You, Acer, and Chi-chi nod at them, then ask if they've heard of any other villages encountering incidents involving monsters or demons. They tell you that they have heard rumors, but also that there is another person going out and attempting to deal with demons, a young woman with powerful magic. This catches your interest.

"What's this lady's name, if you know?" you question, placing your hands behind your neck.

"Tripitaka Xuanzang Genjo Sanzo."

...apparently they're busy with a demon chicken. You tell them to stop messing around, apparently you're on your way to find Goku's friend Trip. At the mention of her name Goku seems to regain some of his strength. Eventually the five of you are all flying in the same direction, following along the most probable location. Eventually you can sense her ki. It's... different. Your Scouter picks up a reading of only 50, but you can feel something much higher, closer to around 500, maybe higher. And it seems to be much stranger than any other ki you've sensed before. What's more surprising is where she apparently is.

From the sounds of the information in Dragon ball. 100 power level energy is about equal to a WW2 battle ships main gun, or a missile designed to pierce a battle ships armor. That power level likely provides protection equal to a battle ships armor.

That makes the power that anyone over 200 or so pretty broken.
