THREAD 35: TWITTER: twitter.com/planefagARCHIVE: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Kant-O-Celle%20QuestLying in a hard hospital bed, with Arizona sleeping soundly on your chest (all cried out and, judging from the circles around her eyes, exhausted after a late-night vigil,) you contemplate your options. Some kind soul left you your watch; turning your wrist over you discover that it's 0430. You sigh quietly - you've been kicking a tin can down Memory Lane while there's a combat sortie to plan. Christ. But, for all that, you're awake, you're alive, and there's abyssals on the rampage out there. >Call Goto. Yes, it's only 0430, but if you've read him right he might not've been to bed yet; handling both your workloads. No time like the present. >Call Goto's staff, get his secretary on the horn. The poor bastard's probably grabbing the few hours of sleep he'll get out of the next thirty-six; and that's what secretaries are for. >Call your own secretary to get a sitrep, first - if you've got to wake someone up, it may as well be someone with enough rapport to not hate you too much for it. >Call Hate - he's your best friend, when you get right down to it, and here you are being very not-dead after an apparent scare. >Press the nurse call button, let the doctors know you are not a vegetable, all evidence to the contrary, and badger them for an extra blanket for Arizona. No sense in putting the cart before the horse, imminent combat be damned. >Gonna grab some soup for dinner, next update will be even later than usual lol planefig y u so slo

>>40865775It didn't. Planefag likes to troll players by declaring certain speculation to be cannon or not. Such as Yound spawning.
>>40865885Like Canadian ship sluts showing up at hockey games now?
So from the last thread, we know that shipgirls can control the the "real" ship they correspond to if they have access to it (i.e. it's not laying at the bottom of the ocean), and even do the same kind of reality-warping bullshit to restore it to combat-ready status in the blink of an eye. Wonder if our shipgirls can learn to just manifest their full-on ship form the way the Abyssals apparently can? Not sure what combat advantage it would provide, since they're as effective as the real ship would be anyway, but it would be damn cool to watch.

>>40865938Pretty much the 'professional officer of the navy' thing we've had going so far I'm guessing.
>>40865885Young spawned his own JFW. Totally canon.
>>40865922Probably would take a lot of resources to do it. Magic only goes so far; at some point they'd need actual metal to use for their full ship-forms.Also it's probably not good for them mentally to go back and forth between human and warship shape. It would both be confusing for the non-consciousness-related parts of their brains and existentially unsettling for the consciousness-related parts.

>>40866504>Well, yeah. that's cos she liked that configuration more. That configuration was likely better for fighting the enemy of the day, Abyssals.Especially with the leveling effect. Not fighting the Russian navy.Wonder if she can mix and match configurations though.
>>40866512Not highly, I'd imagine.
>>40866549An important question is, does shipgirl radar fare better against abyssal contacts than conventional gear? Willie's performance in the air raid certainly supports so
>>40866549>Russian>NavyHAHAHAHAHA. You mean that shit that got blown to kingdom fucking come when the bitches showed up? That navy? Or the rustbucket deathtraps they call submarines? maybe the handful of surly girls they've had come back that've done fuck all except guzzle vodka by the drum and bitch about how great the old days were. That Russian navy?
Okay. So.My earlier guess, that the Iowas couldn't come back, was wrong. Clearly a ship doesn't need to be 'finished' in order to come back. It is definitely significant that Iowa was controlling her physical body, as well as the Abyssals for that matter, but signifying what, I don't know. It could just be the early manifestations were like that, and later ones came back only as the girl form, but we know that Hornet came back within a week or two of LA, and presumably in her current form. It's also telling that Iowa came back in her 1940s configuration, rather than her 1980s one, which seems to support the theory that there is a 'window' within which ships can be called back, which could also explain why most of the ships we've seen so far – at least on the Abyssal side – are from around the early 1900s. Although now I wonder, since a ship doesn't need to be 'finished' in order to come back, why don't we see multiple instances of particularly long-lived ships coming back from different points in her career. Which would provide a rather neat answer to the Ship of Theseus question. How is a ship the same ship if all its original parts have been replaced? Answer: it's not. (Of course, a steel battleship wouldn't have had anywhere near all of her matériel replaced, but still.) On a meta level that might explain why Naka is such a common drop.Yet Iowa clearly remembered her time as a museum ship, which shouldn't be the case if future versions were 'overwriting' past ones. Hmm.
>>40866608AhahahahahahahahahahahahaBeautiful
>>40866200>Was the pink paint an Operation Petticoat reference, or just a shot in the proverbial dark against his masculinity?A little of both, though it wasn't so much a shot in the dark as it was shooting at a bomber coming in from the sun.
>>40866608Considering that the Russo - Japanese War Russian Navy is what came back as shipgirls, it's probably for the best that they haven't tried to contribute to the war effort.
>>40866608Wait, the Russian ships came back female? How interesting.
>>40866608They came back as girls? Shit, I had heard they came back as male ships, like Harder.Fucking Rooskies should've signed the damn treaty...brb contacting my secret squirrel contacts
>>40866681>shooting a bomber comming out of the sunYou mean dive bombers right?
>>40866681...fair enough, he's not exactly subtle
>>40866608Russian shipgirl jokes when?>Somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean, two subgirls, Soviet and American, come to the surface. The Soviet one is old and rusty; the American one is new and shiny. On the Soviet one, the faries lounges about without any order, and a drunken girl yells at them: "Who threw a valenok (traditional Russian winter footwear made of felt) on the control board? I'm asking you, who threw a valenok on the control board?!". From the American subgirl, a shaved, sober and well-dressed girl, notes sarcastically: "You know, folks, in America...". The Russian girl dismissively brushes her off: "America??! Ain't no fucking America no more!" (Turns back to the faries) "Who threw a valenok on the control board?!"
>>40866609no the real question is can incomplete ships come back like the USS Illinois and USS Kentucky of the Iowa class
>>40866608>Russian ships take vodka by the drum instead of oilAs expected.
>>40866608You know if Kursk has come back?
>>40866608Why would Russian ships come back as women?
>>40866608>HAHAHAHAHA. You mean that shit that got blown to kingdom fucking come when the bitches showed up? That navy? Or the rustbucket deathtraps they call submarines?Nah the Soviet Navy of the 80's. Where the threat was either subs, cruise missiles or planes.Even though the only true ships they had to project force were the subs.Ships were just recommissioned to give the soviets even a worse case of the economic shits.
>>40866716Well, they might be ship boys. It's a known fact that russian women can be very masculine.
>>40866483Seems like a honest job to me.
The first thing you do is reach out and press the nurse call button; a little blinking red LED informing you that Help Is On The Way. Your responsibilities loom large, but your deep desire to understand *what the fuck just happened* is slightly larger. You're downright afraid to go feeling around your body, but do so anyway - discovering a large fluffy gauze bandage on the upper-right side of your dome. Probably means they shaved your hair, too. Oh well, you're used to wearing a cover everywhere anyways, you can get away with it indoors. Maybe you'll even stick your hands in your pockets. Yep, that star is going straight to your head. The transformation into Flag-Rank-Fucker is well underway, if not complete. Hell, you're even in bed with a beautiful underling. You rub Arizona's hair affectionately, and find the energy to chuckle. Once upon a time, that would've been a serious concern. But after seeing how much baggage the “kanmasu” carry, how displaced out of time they are, even understanding how deep and powerful the undertow of awful memories can be - the thought of those gulfs being bridged by mere lust is laughable. You've got to cling to each other as tightly as possible just to keep semi-sane, really - maybe that's why Kongou is always driving Goto up the wall. And, come to think, maybe he likes being driven, just a little bit - it's so much easier than dealing with the darkness welling from within these girls. You think back to the date with Shoukaku - how stunned you were when she showed up in casual dress, looking for all the world like an ordinary young woman (aside from that shimmering quicksilver hair, enchanting, haunting,) and how quickly the facade of normality had slipped; as she found entire sections of “her” city obliterated during the War; her sudden pathetic eagerness to know if humanity viewed her as a person or as a disposable machine. Fraternization is small-fry compared to *that.*
>>40865922I wonder if that's the differentiator between shipgirls and Abyssals: Abyssals are those whose vessels have been repaired/modified by whatever Cthonian menace is skulking about on the seabed, giving them their distinctive 'abomination' appearance. Shipgirls are those who have become separated from their vessels, so whoever is messing with the wrecks have no power over them and they turn up as just the shipgirl without the vessel. Underwater surveys may make it possible to identify possible a handful of future Abyssals (if a known wreck has suddenly gone missing) or possible shipgirls to summon (if a wreck is discovered unmolested).
>>40866768Because the only exception to the all women rule is Harder. Logic stands that they would return as women.

The door latch works with a quiet click-clack, and you hear the nurse arriving, her sensible shoes click-clacking across the tiled floor. The privacy curtain is tugged aside gently, and you find yourself staring at your nurse.Who is Shoukaku. In a nurse uniform. A very, very flattering pale-pink nurse uniform that ends halfway down her thigh, where the tight white stockings take over. The clipboard she clutches against her chest does little to hide how the tight starched fabric accentuates her impressive bust, and as always that shimmering silver waist-length hair is impossible to ignore, especially with the little pink cap on her head setting it off so nicely. Her warm, affectionate smile seems to slide right off her face as she gets a good look at you. You and Arizona, who is still fast asleep on your chest, her arms wrapped possessively around your middle; rich red locks tumbling across your tear-damped shirt. Suddenly, fraternization seems like a big deal again. >Can I get a blanket for her, please?>... okay, you first. >... what the actual fu->I CAN EXPLAIN >write-in?

>>40867378I don't understand why you guys keep insisting that bundles of horrid, terrible trauma and severe cases of guilt want the dick. So when HMS Sheffield (D80), Coventry (D118), Ardent (F184) and Antelope (F170) all arrive, how long until they get assigned to Yakosuka because they keep causing problems with Argentina. And would SS Atlantic Conveyor come back and how would she react to seeing the one that got away?
>>40867482>using the term waifu seriouslyI knew this would happen some day. What have we become.
>>40867439I simply said "some girls want the D". And that's true. Some people are horny. Some are not. That's kind of the point of people being people. Particularly when they form emotional connections.I don't think Arizona is after Settle's dick, but Shoukaku is making it pretty obvious that she does, or at the very least is very interested in him as a man. This too can be a form of coping, you know. Assert their humanity by acting like humans.
>>40867548forgot my pic
>>40867571I don;t think the question is whether Shoukaku wants Settle's dick, but whether she wants anything else.
>>40867439You are, suddenly, alive. You remember clearly being a vehicle, crewed by men, and them dying as you fought and died. You also remember a vague amalgam of your crew's knowledge- the languages they spoke, the skills they knew, the noodle shops they loved back home.People are telling you you're still a ship. People are telling you you're a human, just like your crew was.The first is obvious enough to prove- ships sail, carriers launch aircraft, etc.How do you prove to yourself that you're human? You live. You read, you play games, you sing, you explore fashion, and perhaps you love.
>>40867409Yeah, mainly a missile ship. I'm prety sure that the AGS would be able to pierce enemy Armour with the right shells (or putting the rounds in from above).Though the ship's primary mission would be supporting ship-grills, hence the well deck and laser targeting missiles.
>>40867618Sure but the original statement was "the world has gone weird" in what I assume was response to the fact Shoukaku just showed up in a sexy nurse outfit. And the intentions there are pretty clear to me.
>>40867637I should mention that missile ships are probably not the best idea against Abyssals.
>>40867637Considering the number of abyssals I'd say a missile ship wouldn't be very effective because of cost and production constraints. Last thread made that pretty clear.
>>40867637Missile ships run into the same problem as existing ships:Missiles are freaking expensive. Also, the AGS will sink unarmored modern warships, but are likely to bounce off the armor of old battleships and ironclads even without the Leveling Effect. You need something to cheaply and efficiently kill old, heavily-armored warships with bullshit magic.
>>40867666Neither are big-ass battle ships. Besides, it's meant to support ship-girls. In an Ideal scenario the ship would carry a group of ship-girls and two AA ships (Burkes or type 45s)
>>40867661Outside of porn, I don't think there's anywhere where one of your coworkers can show up in a sexy nurses outfit and not have it be considered weird.
>>40867720>Also, the AGS will sink unarmored modern warships, but are likely to bounce off the armor of old battleships and ironclads even without the Leveling Effect. You need something to cheaply and efficiently kill old, heavily-armored warships with bullshit magic. Can the R&D upscale the AGS to say a 255mm gun eventually? Or would that require a too fucking big a ship, near WW1 Battle ship size.
>>40867720>You need something to cheaply and efficiently kill old, heavily-armored warships with bullshit magic. What're the price figures on precision guided bombs, and modern torpedoes? Because I'm thinking the cheap option is going to involve hitting below the waterline or from above.
>>40867121>Main armamentDrone carrier. You want as many birds as possible, dropping Paveways. The Abyssals are all older ships, so have little to no AA (and no experience with aerial threats). RADAR isn't worth a damn against them, but optical designation and IR work just fine.>What would you choose as the secondary battery?A whole load of C-RAM variant Phalanx. The RAM is rather pointless against incoming dumb shellfire, but the Higgins demonstrated that the ol' lead-farter can do the job.An armoured core might be a good idea. CODLAG, keep the motors and a small battery unit inside the armoured core, along with the fighting compartment. Fuel bunkers, turbines and generators sit outside the core. Armoury sits on the periphery well away from the core, and if any VLS cells are added they are also PVLS.Building a vessel that can take a hit and keep fighting is not going to be cheap or easy. Better to build one that can stay as far as possible. The armoured core allows it to survive a hit in case it is snuck up upon, with the holdout battery allowing for a sprint to safety.
>>40867723Battleships would be an infinitely better choice than a missile ship. More cost efficient and more effective as well.Missiles CAN be useful, but to rely almost entirely on modern AShM against heavily armored warships of bygone eras is probably not the best of ideas. Remember, Higgins was fucked until Iowa came along.
>>40867730Unless you work at a hospital and she's just that hot.
>>40867803Real nurse outfits are not sexy dude, they're hella practical
>>40867792>Remember, Higgins was fucked until Iowa came along.Remember, Higgins wasn't allowed to engage in her element since she was fighting a defensive action. She was faster than the ships she was fighting, and if she'd been able to just run and shoot she'd have done a hell of a lot better.
>>40867548>Atlantic Conveyor>converted merchantman>merchantMANAircraft carrier trap.
>>40867730Halloween party. Your move.
>>40867838Yeah. Guess what. You're not always going to be able to run and shoot, because defensive battles are not exactly uncommon.
>>40867792The Idea would be that the ship would not engage the enemy directly. The Idea is that it would carry about some ship-girls on longer range patrols and provide long range support (sort of like an aircraft carrier, but for whole ship-girls).The missiles would preferably be capable of hitting over the horizon or beyond the range of enemy weapon systems.
>>40867838She was also horribly outnumbered and her targeting was fucked.

>>40867838Nah, even places where we were able to get Harpoons and Tomahawks in play at range, there were major issues with tracking and acquisition. LRASM performance is classified above me but judging by how fucked up Charleston and Virginia beach and Norfolk got, I'm willing to fucking bet it wasn't too hot either.
>>40867952It happened once.Once.
>>40867990Any particular reason why besides the fact that's probably Shokaku's aircraft attacking her.
>>40868053And then Goto stayed healthy through sheer willpower since that time?
>>40868053Tell the story Naka.
If we're talking efficiency, we could get infinitely more out of more attack submarines than we would from battleships. A Virginia class sub, god forbid a Seawolf, would be an OCP to WW2 based abyssals, even more than jet aircraft. They can move much longer distances than WW2 subs at much higher speeds all the while being functionally invisible to any WW2 sonar. The torpedos on most submarines these days would also be a one shot against the majority if not most abyssals.

But rumors also say they missed a few places. Like, they hit Scapa flow, shit like that. “Must be a battleship thing,” you say matter-of-factly. “Less chatty than Kongou, too.” Shoukaku blinks. “*Thing,*” she says, her tone locked and loaded. “Well, maybe just a flagship thing,” you clarify, stroking Arizona's hair and tucking her loose bangs back behind her ears, making her look presentable again. “Akagi doesn't seem to fit the pattern, but still. They want their admirals, for some reason.” “She seems to have found hers,” Shoukaku says softly - maybe even sadly. “She seems quite fond of you... she wouldn't leave your side for anything, no matter how much we cajoled.” Shoukaku smiles at you, and it hurts you to see how hard it is for her to lift her expression to it. “She trust-” “No,” you cut her off abruptly. “No, Shoukaku, it's not like that.”She tilts her head, and deliberately scans you and Arizona from head to foot. “It doesn't look like that fr-”“Issac C. Kidd,” you cut her off. “You ever hear about him?” She blinks. “Who?” “Rear Admiral. My own rank. They named a class of destroyers and an Arleigh-Burke after him. Won the Medal of Honor. Died on Arizona's bridge during the attack on Pearl.” Shoukaku's face pales. “O-oh. I, uh-” “They found his Annapolis class ring fused to the rear wall of her bridge, afterwards.” “I'm s-sorry-”“You remember what we talked about? On our date? About Arizona, and me?”She nods. “You already left one ship in a dry-dock, and you don't intend to leave another.” “Right. She just feels the same way.” You cover your eyes, rubbing your temples as an excuse to hide your tears. The roughness in your voice - well, you're thirsty and sick, aren't you? “That's all it is, Shoukaku. We've all got our regrets, and that one's hers.”

“... I'll fetch her a blanket,” Shoukaku says, her voice gentle with sympathy. With that, she slips out, heading for a linen closet. Searching the room, you find your cell phone and a few other personal affects laid on the small table to your side. You flip through the menu, find Naka's contact number, and call. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_DV9b0x7v4The disgustingly sugary tunes of some old ear-worm you vaguely remember begin chiming tinnily from one corner of the room. “Aaaaah, drat.” Your cane is leaning against the table. Snatching it up, you sweep the privacy curtain all the way open with the tip to find Naka reclining in the adjustable guest chair and blinking sleepily. A pair of earphones are resting around her neck, cord leading to a CD player on her thigh. And, of course, she's got a nurse uniform on. “It would seem the tables haaaAAAAAAVEEEE TUuuuhhhrned, wuh,” she says through a long yawn and stretch, “Misther Bhond.” “How long have you been awake?” you demand. “Since Shoukaku came in. I was hoping it wouldn't stick, but then you called.”“Hmm. I don't suppose you know what the HELL happened to me in the command room, Nurse Naka?”
>>40868439Elementary to high school age, yeah. Later models tend to look older. The general correlation is bigger ship -> older (and bigger) girl.
“You had shrapnel moving in your brain,” she says bluntly. You feel the gauze on your skull gingerly. “Fuck. How bad?” “No more brain damage than you came in with,” she says brightly. “Gave you some drug cocktail to reduce bleeding and put you through an emery - uh, Em Ar Eye - and just yanked it out with a tiny cut and a little robot with a magnet.” You wince at the word 'yank.' “Your bedside manner needs some work, you know that?” “It stops you from asking and puts you off-guard, letting me steer the conversation.” She yawns, trying to cover her mouth primly but running out of strength halfway there. “So Shoukaku raided your agencies costume department or something?” She grins at you sleepily. “Other way around. She found where they keep the spare staff uniforms and I had her scare me one up, too.”You give her a lidded-eyed look. “Kick a man when he's down, eh?”“Just trying to get him back up,” she says, giving you a wink and an impish grin, no less bright for her weariness. “But no, Shoukaku did that entirely for your benefit.”

“Uhm,” you say, glancing at the floor. You're not quite sure how to answer that, so you return the serve. “So who are *you* benefiting?” She gives you a lazy, smoky, wicked smile. “Harder's meeting me later today, per your orders.”“Kid,” you say with naked admiration, “next time I hear someone hand-wringing over ship-girls emphasizing with humanity, I'm giving them your business card.” Naka doesn't grin at this - she simply bites one knuckle as she regards you with dark, serious eyes. “Yeah... I spent a lot of time learning. How to read people, and... and stuff. I was amazed at how much talking people do without, uh, talking.” Her usual frolicsome flair is absent. “So you pick up on words unspoken...” “...” you reply. You watch her struggle with her phrasing for a few seconds before she rolls her weary eyes upwards with a sigh. “Okay. “I do not believe you,” you say with prim precision.Naka blinks. “My theory,” you say, touching your chest with a flourish of your hand. “Shipgirl with terrible trauma from her past latches onto the closest one-star admiral in an attempt to make up for past regrets and failings. Ooooooooor, YOUR theory-” you flip a fingergun level with Naka - “soul of America's most beloved and mourned battleship falls in love with a crippled old has-been because he half-assed a procedure best left to professionals. I'm sorry, but that's some Chinese cartoon tier bullshit, Naka. Gonna have to pitch me better logic than that.” Naka tilts her head forward and squeezes it slowly in her hands, breathing shallowly. “Logic,” she moans. “Boys and their god damned logic.” “Sorry, I left my Ouija board at...” you sigh. “Do I even have to say anything there?” “Nope,” you concede. “Talking with a literal ship spirit and still-”“Open mouth, insert foot.”“Yeeap.” Naka smiles through her tiredness - somehow you two always find the right wavelength in a conversation, no matter what. “Well for your information, oh great and logical Admiral, I don't even bother with that can of worms. I just know what I see.”You do, too - Arizona's a quiet, dutiful girl with unshakable poise and courage, eyes always steadfast on her duty. “And what do you see?” “Well... earlier, in the command room? When you were hanging onto her shoulder, and kind of leaning on her?”

You peer at her. “Weren't you watching the battle?” “Yeah, but my *ears* still work. She didn't take a single breath while you were touching her.” “That's....”True, your memory reports. You didn't really think about it at the time, but-“Conversations with multiple people, she only ever looks at you,” Naka continues. “When you say something to her and turn away, she just keeps looking at you, waiting for you to turn back. You snicker. “How do you think I understand it so well, kid?” She blinks, her mouth falling open as she stares at you. “Like that whole Shell Incident. I couldn't help myself.” The visions of LA flash through your mind again, vivid and awful once again after that goddamned coma-induced dream. “I don't think she can, either. Me, Hate - we both lost people in that battle. And then we had to watch the military and the media make us poster boys to boost morale because we were one of the few success stories of that whole godawful first month, and -” you sigh. “Arizona sailed right by her own memorial on the way to her old berth. She dropped anchor on the other side of it. She sat there next to her own goddamn corpse, with a thousand of her boys still IN it. And she didn't shy away from it, because that was her *assigned berth,* Naka. No matter how much she wanted to turn and run away from it.” Naka sits up in her guest chair, staring at the floor. “You can't get away from it, though. No matter where you go. It happened, and it was your fault.” Her voice is so sepulchral and hollow that it chills you. She draws up her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around her skinny legs. “So all you have left is... duty.” You remain silent, because there's nothing left to say. Naka understands just as well as you do, it seems. She hides her face against her knees, and shortly you see her shaking slightly, as if she's sobbing, but used to keeping it silent. You pick up your cane, intending to slide the privacy curtain shut out of respect for her, but before you can poke the thin white barrier back with your awkward whacks, you see her peek at Arizona - and in those dark, wet eyes is nothing but seething envy. >Go back to sleep - none of you are in any condition to get any work done tonight. >>40870905It's just a volume problem. Goto had to manage dozens of ships.Settle hasn't broken the double digits.
>>40870879Oh. Yeah. Hitler switching the bombing campaign from the RAF fields, who were being hammered very hard, to London, which he couldn't destroy, directly cost him the Battle of Britain. He might have lost anyway if he kept the original bombing plans going, but he DEFINITELY lost when he decided terror bombing was the way to go.
>>40870891what
>>40870879To be exact, they bombed civvies and claimed military victories to appease command, because command wanted things they couldn't deliver. So instead of hitting actual targets, they hit civvies because otherwise command would ream their ass. Which backfired hardcore.
>>40870905I don't blame Kongou, I blame that fact that he has like, several dozen maladjusted whoreships to wrangle while Settle has five and he also has Hate (who seems to have practically adopted Sammy)
>>40870880seriously?
>>40870898Carlos, you aren't even trying.
Has anyone archived this thread?
>>40870896>Naka>daughterHah. Telling her that might rebreak her ribs.
>>40870940Yeah, Morgane of the Mists follows this quest. I can also confirm that he also follows Sasahara17's The Greatest Generation on SB.
>>40870944What? No. They were ordered to switch targets by Hitler himself. He was anally annihilated that the RAF bombed Berlin (despite the fact the Luftwaffe had already burned down Rotterdam).
>>40870900Even if it's flat I doubt Settle will want to think about Arizona's chest that way. While Planefag's AZ is not Pacific's AZ, it's pretty clear from the other drawfags that the base design is the same and planefag hasn't objected it.
>>40870940I think he's saying that one of the dudes who does the US ship girls stuff reads the quest.
>>40870845Because this is Shitsluts, not Titsluts.Though that is a good question. Shouikaku's got damn fine... 'displacement'. She'd float if she wasn't a shipsoul.

>>40870924I thought the cruisers are taking care of the destroyers? This is like these old families were the teenager must care for the babies isn't it?
>>40870966And you wonder why we shoot ceilings in these threads
>>40870966I'm with that anon. I didn't get it either. Figured I'd check with wiser men than I later, but if we're copping to things...
>>40871008Huh.That's neat as shit
>>40870987Then at least co-worker zone her?Underling zone?
>>40871008>https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/kantai-collection-fanfic-idea-and-recs.332794/page-107Well shit.
>>40870939But the Luftwaffe was never going to win the BoB.Even if they were able to completely eliminate the RAF, they wouldn't be able to follow through.
So what is this machine-gun cruiser thing I heard about?
>>40870959>>40870935Well you both a have point, I guess.I just think Kongou, despite not being one of the first ships to come back, has ruined Goto's perception of shipgirl-command staff relationships.
>>40871014Speaking of which, we really need to get ONI to pass clearance on a shit ton of therapists and social workers. Something like in SFP! where each ship has a specific case worker so they're not just set adrift
>>40870924DON'T YOU PUT THAT EVIL ON ME YOU JIZZGOBLIN ASSPARROT.
>>40871048We just need to be there for her when she needs it.Christ this base needs more manpower.
>>40871076We're too busy, sorry.
>>40870990Give it to me straight anon. The greatest generation - Is it worth a read? The first part reads like a typical fan fiction. That is not a compliment.
>>40871077Putting evil on people is what 4chan -does-, dude.
>>40870891
>>40871076Unfortunately not a lot of people can get clearance for that. Shipgirl secrets and all that, see.
>>40871075I still think they're fucking like rabbits but the Goto doth protest too much
>>40870966I saw that she had things to be envious, I just couldn't pin in down to a single major one
>>40871008That guy hes responding to about planefag sounds like a pussy faggot.
>>40871014CLs (and to a lesser extent CAs) take care of their DDs, that's their natural role.http://kancolle.wikia.com/wiki/Historical_FormationsAlthough if we go by history it's Abukuma that takes care of DesDiv6, but Tenryuu is overwhelmingly popular. (Also game mechanics. Tenryuu-class is the ideal expedition leader)
I'm visiting the HMAS Diamantina right now! I'll post pics when I get home.
>>40871096>The greatest generation - Is it worth a read? The first part reads like a typical fan fiction. That is not a compliment. It's not. The rest reads as bad or worse.
Is being an officer in the navy/airforce/army all about making sure you men does not snap and kill each other?
>>40871070And that was a BIG if by the way. Fighter Command actually ended up stronger at the end of the battle rather than weaker.
>>40871077Are you kidding? You already have people saying that Iowa is going to go full dead space 2 Nicole on you and your worried about spending time with the destroyers?Bro, you have Corgis. one of the cutest animals in the world. Just throw corgis at the problem until t stops being a problem.
>>40871096Well, I like it, in fact, I'd say it gets much better.I don't know about the rest of the people in this thread though.
