Speaking of, you glance at shadow Alex who’s taken a shard of a mirror and is quickly cutting herself loose, relief progressively filling you as she makes short work of the bindings. As soon as the last one is cut both her and the demon bolt from their positions; Shadow Alex gaining some working space, while the demon rushes towards you fury in her eyes.

Kat interrupts this charge with a smaller than usual fireball, sending the demon tumbling towards you. It’s form shimmers before compressing down into a core that continues to roll towards you… stopping just at your feet.

You can’t but smile at that, glancing around as the bedroom around you begins to slowly follow suit. With the bound man already faded from existence, you reach down and grab the core. It glows with a white aura.

Shadow Alex grins as she heads over to you, “Well that was easy, if a bit painful,” she’s rubbing where the bindings laid.

Kat lets out a sigh of relief as she pads over to you, “What now then..?” she asks looking between the core and then exit.

As much as I'd like to write this, I have to dip out like now.

I wouldn't even mind writing the update and being late but knowing how I write it'll likely be multiple updates and as such I don't want to stop mid way.

As a side note, I think I am going to shrink down to one day long threads and instead do (ideally) more threads during the week. As I don't typically have multiple days in a row on weekdays to run this.

That and I've noticed that waking up and trying to do it twice in a row leads to me being super late on the first update or two.

See, the change intensity is in part determined by how much darkness you have built up.

So some of how tame it is, is owed to that. Also there's more to it than just shyness, see character sheet for reference.

The other part to it, I think lies in what I said earlier in this thread. Namely that this is a game first and foremost, and while there maybe frustrating parts to it at times.

I was actually thinking of allowing a shadow credit to be spent in the situation people found it unfavorable for permanent changes.

The single 1d100 will stay for that though as otherwise it'd improbably to roll mental changes while favoring high end physical ones.
