>Summary:
You are techpriest Heracor Nahive. You were forcefully implanted a brain chip that made you into little more than a working drone, nullified your emotions and willpower. One day for unknown reasons the chip stopped working and you were returned to your former self. You felt the need of vengeance, right now you are travelling the Galaxy trying to become stronger to return one day and fight the ones that enslaved your mind.

>Main Mission:
- Become stronger and fight the Magus that installed the chip on your brain.
>>Secondary Missions:
- None
>>Optional Missions:
- Try to destroy the heretical information stored on your brain.

Calmly you look from a reinforced stained glass that showed the icon of the Emperor overlooking the Galaxy with a great Aquila on his chest. On his head there was a halo formed by a massive transept rose that was surely three times your height. Focusing on the other side of the glass instead of the drawing depicted you saw the cold and void space.

The Cruiser ship you were in seemed to move at a steady yet slow pace, it was a tricking misconception thought, the massive engines were moving the spaceship at a speed that most people would considder impossibly high. Still, it was nothing in comparison with the speed it would be able to achieve once it got into the Empyrean.

Not very far away there was a merchant ship, all loaded with strange goods and dreams of financial benefits. It seemed that the owner of that ship wasn’t able to buy a great warp entering point. Shortly after opening the portal and halfway crossing it a Gravity tide violently pushed the ship, making half of it be shredded into thorns in an instant. With the ship ruptured the Warp Drive automatically stopped functioning to avoid a greater catastrophe, less than a minute after that the massive hole closed, half of the ship would became lost on the warp and the other half calmly floated aimlessly. It seemed that those terrible events were something not so uncommon as soon a small float of ships started looting all they could and pulling the scraps to fuse the surviving parts into another makeshift orbital station. With every failed attempt to leave the System thousands of people perished but with the rest many more would be able to build living spaces.

Luckily for you since your ship was owned and directed by a member of the Inquisition you were given one of the few secrets coordinates in where the risk of a sudden Gravity Tide and being killed were none. The ship you were in was able to easily enter inside the maw of warped energy.

It was good to be back, really good to the Cruiser. Returning to your usual corridors and pipe covered walls was comforting, honestly you were kind of anxious after spending such a long time in the wilderness back in that xeno dammed planet.

It was good to be back once again in the mansion were you lived and shared a space with your closest…friends. Your adopted daughter Alaria received you with open arms and so did Mellizune. Juliannus was as cold as ever but it was comprehensible, specially after knowing what happened, maybe he was informed during the Grave Exchange with the Space Wolves, they had requested a private chat with him and was when he started to feel even more distant after all… Surprisingly the female Ogryn Nala survived and Karelia got so impressed with her loyalty and strength that she decided to include her under her tutelage. Finally, Karelia returned to her old manners in which she became more bossy and secretive. Still…you felt kind of empty inside, no matter by how many layers of metal and pipes you were surrounded, no matter how many friendly faces you were greet by, you knew that you wouldn’t see Lewit in a really long time and that broke you inside.

Back in the Mechanicus Temple you were greet by many old faces and also new ones. People had mixed opinions about you, about half of them saw you like a person that didn’t hold to its true values by siding with the Inquisitress during the hunt and then refusing to give answers about what truly happened. You were able to calm them to some degree by showing your new armor and giving them the promise of studying it but still it was obvious that your popularity had descended a lot.

You looked at the blueprints that Karelia had given you and vaguely studied them. It would be impossible for an Inquisitor to design this as she had said. Surely Inquisitor Dhroznak only had theories and ideas but it was the Cult Mechanicus the ones that turned them into a functioning apparatus.

There were still three years, three long years of voyage in which you would only leave the Empyrean annually for a few days while the ship refuels and restocks.

You were given some projects to work on, you better choose which one to start with.

>Study the blueprints and start working on the Xenopsychic Bane.
>Meet Juliannus and see what kind of weapon you can build for him.
>Remove your Armor and study it on your workshop.

>There is no hurry yet, socialize with the others and see what were they up to while you were gone.

Out of a dangerous situation you didn't had the need of using the power armor anymore so you decided to switch back to your original one, that looked tame and weak in comparison, but was still able to save your life in more than once

After that you freely roamed across the corridors. Alaria had won her first pewter cog after succeeding in her first exams. Pewter meant that her grades were good but not the best ones, maybe you could aid her the next time...two continuous failed exams meant servitortude after all.

Mellizune wasn't so changed, she was still spoiled, both by her mother and the crews men, the first one bought her all she wished and the later were way too scared of her powers to say no to any of her whims. Still, losing her sister and meeting Alaria seemingly took her down to earth.

Nala was also roaming aimlessly, apparently confused with her new environment.

>Talk with Alaria

You slowly entered into your room to find in pretty changed. There were mathematical equations and litanies written with chalk all over the wall that was closest to the bed. It wasn't so uncommon for soon to be techpriest students to spend most of their hours lying on the bed and scribbling the problems they were order to solve in the closest place they could find.

Honestly chalk wasn't such a bad idea, you heard of a student that got used to write notes and formulae all over its body, he later became so used to have ink and scribbling all over its dermis that ended becoming a famous electoo priest.

"Greetings youngling."

"Hello Daddy!"

You found shocked and even paralyzed by that statement, you had never asked her to refer to you as Dad at any time, in fact you even reminded her a few times that you weren't his genetic father. Seems like you would have to do it again.

"I am not your father. Between you and I with the exception of the most baseline of the genus we don't share any genetic code in our DNA."

"I know! But look what came the other day!"

On her hand a framed document signed by the own Administratum, it stated your guardianship over her as her adoptive father. She even had to adopt your surname. In front of you stood, Alaria Nahive.

You stood frozen in place for some seconds reading the document over and over again. It wasn't that you wanted to find a flaw on it, it just looked way too unreal to be true. Once your asocial brain ended accepting you looked at her.

She was small, weak, covered in flesh and barely approached the Omnissiah by the exchange of body parts for mechanical ones...but still, she was your daughter.
>>
>>40680571

You dazed away and a strange sensation filled your stomach, as if you were sick. Still, no symptoms besides that one seemed to appear. Maybe you were...happy? The closest sensation to this one that you felt in the past was when you were first taught how the mechanisms of a machine looked under its cover.

Honestly, it was obvious that something weird was going on inside your head. You were used to be way more calculating and cold...

By the time you returned to reality you found her tightly hugging you. She needed you...but you also kind of needed her.

>Ask her about her future dreams and what kind of path would she like to take.

we know jack shit about parenting, however in one of the behavioral studies we read said listening and asking about them was key. So questions all of them!

also

>Hug her back, lightly remember your strength.
>>
>>40680590
>Hug back.
With a mechanical sound you crouch and softly return the hug, the cold contact of your bionic arms manages to pierce her thin robe and reach her delicate skin, making her shiver and cutely sneeze...until that moment you had forgotten when was the last time you sneezed and how it felt. It was honestly one of the few human reactions that you enjoyed, a shame you had to lose it the moment you switched your throat for a vox caster.

When the hug was over you stood up and taking her by the hand carried her to your bed, then seated her on your still fleshy lap and proceeded to talk and get in touch with her.

>Ask her about her future dreams and what kind of path would she like to take.
"Alaria...Alaria Nahive. What kind of Techpriest would you like to become?"

"One that fights for what it is right and saves weaker people!"

Well, at least her motives were pure.

"So, a warrior, a Skitarius?"

"I guess... Working with machines its fun too tho..."

She seemed full of doubt, it wasn't so strange, techpriests would always be full of doubt but that was more a blessing than a curse, with ignorance came the chance of learning.

"How about an Enginseer? They help the guard repairing the buildings and vehicles and sometimes fight too."

"Does the guard fight for what it's right!?"

"Yes they do. They fight the enemies of the Imperium, and that is always right."

There was some faint doubt on your words, you had worked with an Eldar and seen a case were Kroot xenos were tolerated to some degree...

"Mhhh...I will think 'bout it!"
>>
>>40681057
>Ask her about her studies and if she needs help.

"If you want to be an Enginseer you will have to learn a lot about mechanisms, machine spirits and other kind of lore. How are your studies going?"

"Well...Circuits are hard...The rest of the classes are easy."

You hugged and reconforted her.

"I'm sure there is someone in the Cathedral that can teach you way better than me. I'll try to find someone to aid you."

"Will you? YAY!!"

She hugged you back tightly, it was good that your chest, while armoured, was mostly organic, the simple act of feeling a breathing movement made her feel comforted.

>Ask her about her training and if she needs help.

"What about your training, are you able to arm and disarm a lasgun already?"

"Aww Daddy! You have only been out for a couple of weeks! We are training with laspistols first silly."

You grabbed your Plasma gun and carefully removed the ammo, then softly placed it on her legs.

"One day, this will be yours. But first you will have to train with laspistols and other weapons."

She pouted but her fake annoyed state soon faded away when she started looking at the weapon.
>>
>>40681076

>Ask her about her friend Mellizune and if she knows anybody else.

"Are Mellizune and you good friends?"

Friendship between a psyker and a techpriest were something unheard of, they were way too different, the psykers are too pragmatic with their unique way of seeing the universe and techpriests are way too logic. In fact, you considered Karelia more as an employer and ally than a friend...

"Yes! We have promised to marry each other when we become adults. Do you give us your permission."

It has to be a joke, you better follow it to don't kill the mood.

"Of course! Looking at you married with her would make me really happy."

She cheerfully squealed and hugged you back again, nuzzling her nose against your chest...Psyker and Techpriest marriage, ridiculous.

"Do you have any other friend?"

"Nu-uh. The guards don't let me wander, they even carry me to the Cathedral. They are some scag-heads."

The conversation extended for hours and hours until it became night time. The next morning you woke up next to her tightly hugged, you didn't even knew at what time you went to bed but still you were refreshed and well slept.

Go over their performances in the hunt and offer congratulations and encouragement. Maybe compare kill counts for fun haha. On a more serious note time to rebuild some of the trust we lost. Upgrade equipment and hold exercises, etc. Could we study the armor not just on our own but with our whole temple? Try to improve the armor of our skitarii. I'm sure they would love that.
>>

>Remove your Armor and study it on your workshop.
>Make sure if Alaria needs something to call.

Slowly you wake up Alaria from her deep slumber and call the ratling cook to carry the breakfast. After eating you inform her of what your comm channel is and how to contact you. With a toast covered in margarine still on her mouth she excitedly nods and gives you a thumbs up.

With a soft pat on her head you remind her to study hard to please the Omnissiah and grab the pieces of your recently acquired archaeotech armor and carefully proceed to carry it all the way across the ship into the workshops inside the Cathedral.

Once there you delicately place them on an polished table surrounded by thousands of tools and study machines.

You gather your best and most tech adept warriors around the archeotech and show them what can it do. The first hours are spent with all of them getting naked and trying it on their own, all that only so they could experience on their skins what ARMA was.

>Study the Armor to see if you can replicate it.

The first project was a pretty obvious one. We had to study it closely and try to replicate it for their own use. This would remove its status from semi-relic to a normal, yet powerful armor.

Almost an entire month was needed to do so but at the end with the exception of ARMA they were able to copy and recreate the armor for their personal use. It was a hard working month but still the warriors seemed really happy. By the end of the month the first generals were seen wearing the armor, soon the bodyguards and other high ranked members would be able to don it.

Sadly the costs of creating it were way too high to supply it to every warrior but still it is an incredible advance. Still, yours is unique, as it has a platinum color and effect on its surface in comparison with the opaque gold and red color scheme of the rest of the warriors.
>>
>>40681974

>Study the Armor to see if you can modify it to fit your bionics.

Your armor had to be unique among them, not only because of the different spectrum of color but to fit your current bionics. Your old armor didn't covered the arms or legs and your you could use your hidden weapons and other functions without any problems, with the new armor on there was a block between it and the rest of the world.

Fitting it to be able to use your weapons and other bionics while maintaining it airtight would be a great problem...unable to solve it on your own you decide to gather your trusty team once again and let them help you redesign the armor. This takes longer as it needs the permission of the Magos but at the end they study your proposal and accept, giving thus their blessing.

After about two months your armor is able to use the rest of your bionics to full degree, it also has some intricate baroque designs that decorate its surface as a gift from one of the most artistic student.

>Study the Armor to see if you can improve it.

Both you and your teams were really hyped about the idea of continue working with the armor, going as far as proposing the idea of improving its design. This time the Magos stopped us stubbornly telling us that we were getting into a muddy area where we would get stuck and possibly even end fatally drowning if we weren't careful enough.

We spent an entire month trying to convince the Magos and telling him possible ideas but none of them were of its pleasantness.

A wasted month, in which no advance was able to be done and the mood of your warriors became a little bit sorrowful.

I assume we've spoken with Mellizune, Nala, Karelia and the others in passing it just hasn't been super important right?

>Meet Juliannus and see what kind of weapon you can build for him.

Proudly wearing your pristine armor you walk into Juliannus's room. It is barely decorated, in fact looks as if nobody had been living in there, a layer of grey dust covers the entire. The only clues of his existence are some great footprints on the floor and...the resting Astartes power armor in one corner.

The naked demigod lied seated on the floor, immersed in a deep meditation. His black mohawk had grew in size and wilderness and now it looked like a cascade of keratine that fell between his eyes. His eyes looked tired, if that was even possible.

"What do you seek me for?" He said, apparently still in his trance.

"Greetings Juliannus. I am here today to seek your dream of raining death onto the alien lifeforms. What kind of weapons do you want me to craft for you?"

"That depends. What can your metallic phalanxes build?"
