When first we met our young Heroine, we found her in a dark alley with a customer of the unsavory kind. Said customer was taking offense to the price our Heroine was requesting for the goods being exchanged. This, however, caused some tears which led him to relent.

The exchange had been observed by a shadowy figure, who was confronted once the customer had left. The figure revealed herself to be Tear, a financial advisor to Mr. Terme (the incumbent mafia lord and the closest thing Recette has to a father figure since he hanged her actual father).

Apparently the fairy woman had "acquired" a house on the hill overlooking the city, and was now offering the place for our Heroine's use. Recette took the gift at face value, without troubling herself to question the method of acquisition. All's fair in love and crime, after all. The first act, after clearing all the previous owner's furniture and putting up a nice store sign, was to visit the city's Merchant Guild Master. Which, it was decided, could wait until morning.
>>

Day 1:
The Guild is impressively intimidating, but the Master was not. Our Heroine, at Tear's insistence, made her introduction and also took a moment to acquire some basic stock for the store. It didn't amount to much.

For the afternoon, Tear departed in search of her under-the-table contacts to gain some more general stock while Recette tried her hand at managing this new store. It went about as well as expected, with one little girl being harassed out of the store only to return with her mother, and an old man being thoroughly ripped off for an "antique" statue.

The Guild Master also stops by in a more friendly tone and brings Recette up to speed on the base prices for many things, and also a general idea of what stuff is considered either outlawed by the church, or outright illegal to sell.

At the close of the day, a questionable character appears, pressed against the store window. If it wasn't for the sword, he could've been mistaken for a homeless beggar. Our Heroine, never lacking goodwill (except when it inconveniences her), offered the boy a meal.
This is the moment Tear chooses to return from her errand, bringing a request for Recette to locate a poor fool willing to die for her profit. They did not have to look far.

Tear then proceeded to inform Recette of her plan to make loads of dosh. It involved sending their new homeless acquaintance, Louie, into the local dungeons to fish for loot. He wasn't really given time to protest before being given a warm meal to seal the deal and a king-size bed to sleep in for the night. It would be a long morning for him, after all.
>>
Oh, you're running things again now?
Well I gotta sleep but good luck with the recap thread. I dunno how interesting it'll be for regular readers though!
>>
I-I can't believe this is back.

Hello, Kaleun! Glad to see you!
>>
w-what is going on?

is this really coming back?

Day 2:

Our Heroine is awoken shortly after the rising of the Sun by Louie, who seemed less-than-comfortable in the presence of an undressed girl.

Tear likes to start early, as our Heroine quickly learned, and immediately departed on course for the Adventurer's Guild. However, they never arrived at that place, taking a detour into the nearby warehouses where she quickly intimidated a store guard into allowing the group passage into a back entrance portal into the dungeons.

The dive starts out well, with Louie overcoming some low-level critters, and even finding a new sword that is a lot better than his current armament. Recette once more showed her compassionate side and allowed him to keep the weapon.

However, just when our Heroes thing they are approaching the end of the adventure, a wild Lady Thief appears and threatens to kill them all if they don't hand over the loot! Louie is having none of that, though, and a fight begins between the two! Louie sucks at killing Lady Thieves as it turns out, and finds himself on the back foot soon enough. Until our Heroine leaps to his rescue and shanks her in the back!

It's enough to put her out of action and at death's door. Before she can walk away and leave the thief for dead, however, our Heroine has a strike of Capitalism. Reasoning that a dead customer can't make her any money, Recette decides to not only heal the injured stranger but also take her home to be nursed to health. At extortionate rent fees, of course.
>>
>>40629473

It was a pretty good investment. Especially when compared to Louie
>>
glad to see you back, kal
>>
>>40629473
The afternoon is spent trying to manage the store once more. Shortly after lunchtime, Tear's questionable delivery of goods arrives, allowing the store's stores to be padded out nicely. A young and annoying customer also makes a debut, and requests some church-unsanctioned items. Smelling money, and lots of it, our Heroine could not possibly refuse.

The thief also wakes up, agrees to pay off the debt in time, and identifies herself as Charme. She also stays for dinner (the first of many meals the girls would share together, as fate would have it). The meal ends on a slightly sour note when Charme feigns heading back to bed in order to makes a break for freedom from her captors!

And now it's time for..?

Day 3:

The day begins with some more store-time, and with one particularly odd green-haired customer. Our Heroine ends up spending a whole hour trying to explain the concept of money and bartering to her before she departs.

A certain thief also shows her colors by attempting to pick-pocket a very satisfied customer right in front of our Heroine. She doesn't take this situation well, and quickly ensures the return of the lost item.

The next customer ended up being a headache too, appearing to be attempting to scam our Heroine with an unbelievable sales pitch. The fate of those who insult Recette are made abundantly clear and the young lady sent on her way.

The morning only gets worse when some suited men, apparently thugs of Terme's shadowy competition, appear and try to cause some trouble in the store. Louie proves himself far more capable against large, armed men than against pretty young ladies, and quickly dispatches all of them. Two of whom will never be reporting back to their master.
>>
>>40630341
In order to shake the downer mood from the previous scene, our Heroine heads out for some lunch. Louie is feeling rather ill after spilling his first blood, and so Charme is the one to accompany her. Not a small amount of flirting is done, though all of it one-sided from the older girl's end.

Returning to the store found Tear in a poor mood. Apparently the action at Recettear was the first overt move the shadowy competition had made against Terme Finance. Which meant the war for control might soon break out in earnest. That meant little to our Heroine for now, though, and she simply continued with trying to run her store.

The evening comes with a chance to thank Louie for his actions earlier that day, and some quick arrangements for sleeping which involve collapsing in an exhausted pile.
>>
>Let's take something cutesy
>and make it obnoxiously grimderp!
God, I hate this meme.
>>
>>40630703
Reccetear is pretty damn grim with demon discrimination, the truly horrific sub-life of fairies, and the fact that the main premise is being screwed by loan sharks and a rather useless and irresponsible dad.
>>
>>40629788
Kaleun is going to act like he's coming back, then throws another bitchfit and ragequit again
>>
>>40630748
It has an undercurrent of grimness, which is why bringing it to the fore is plebe tier shit.

Only basic bitches do this sort of thing
>>
Yeah so it turns out this still ain't fun for me any more.

The entire introduction to the game can be summarized as:

"Hello, prepubescent girl! Give us 820,000 gold or we'll fucking repossess your house and all your shit (and maybe sell you into slavery)! You have five weeks, oh and every week we're going to come by and take a whole bunch of your profits, thus crippling your ability to purchase better inventory! I guess that means you're going to have to roll the dice with shitty adventurers fighting a pointless battle to clear an unclearable nightmare dungeon, and taking whatever scraps you can from the deadly monsters they slay Good fucking luck kiddo."
>>
>>40630876
was Kaleun's trip solved a while back?

Recaps are never very fun for the writer.

Well, at least this opens up the slot for someone else to make a Reccetear Quest. Probably in a different city.

With Tielle's big sis as a main/major character.
>>
>>40631367
Would, but my next slot is taken by post-human Long Live The Queen.

Welp. QMC soon?

Probably here, Maidanon is a shy fellow.
>>
>>40630876
Well that's sad to hear, I hope you find fun in something else.

he really deleted his twitter and ask.fm. huh.

It is a shame, but... good luck with your next pursuit, Herr Kaleun. May the Muses grant you their blessing.
>>
You know, the first time I came to /tg/, it was your quest I first saw. A tale of loli S.T.A.L.K.E.R., I gazed at it in awe.

And now I find you again, I see you're losing hope my friend, but you were always right besides me, your tall tales I loved until the end.

And I remember all the times we murderhobo'd through and through, our characters became fleshed out, it felt like it was just us two. And we laughed and laughed at how all the absurdity of it all, not caring or realizing that one day we all fall.

And here I see this quest, I guess it's too late now, we go our separate ways and I wipe tears from my brow.
And no matter what anyone else would often say, it was clear to us all the haters were pretty effin' gay.

You brought me here, and when your quests came I always stayed true. In my room that's still the same I see your works that still remain, I'm crying but nonetheless I bid you a happy adieu.
When last comes to last we all have to face the blues.
Goodbye Kaleun. You'll be missed, but I hope you'll find greener pastures elsewhere. Thanks for the memories and all the time we spent together. Wouldn't have traded the time I spent waiting for your whisky-addled writing for the world.
God bless you, wherever you find yourself.
>>
>>40640272
That was beautiful anon, now you've got me tearing up too, well said.

Goodbye and goodluck Kaleun-senpai!
>>
>>40640272
The regular STALKER quest was so much better than Kaleun's lolishit
>>
s-should we archive this?

I don't want him to be gone...
>>

someone email Lord Licorice about the archive
>>
>>40640457
You were never a part of the quest, I can see. 'Loli' was only a loli in her choice of companions. In everything else she was more of a force of nature. Just because it has little girls does not mean it is bad. In fact, Herr stayed true to what being a loli means in the zone. You have no idea what you speak of. You have barged in here without ever reading anything he had wrote. If you had, you would straighten your slouch with respect.
>>40640464
He has said he does not wish to run quests further. This will happen to every person who wants to run a quest eventually. Perhaps we should, in his honor. He may one day want to come back to this and see the final posts of his legacy in /tg/.
>>40640567
You were the guy who always samefagged his downvotes, weren't you? You hated the entire quest, the hard work and love of a man, because of four letters in a title. I want to hate you for this, but it's too unbelievable for me.
>>
>>40640811
I've never actually participated in any of Kal's quests, I just find him to be a self-righteous cunt who's fun to bully.
>>
>>40640811
>liking pedoshit
Yeah, nah, the real STALKER quest was better.

Better written and less pretentious, too.

Anon, I know this might be hard for you to understand, but I'm not Kaleun. I don't need to be him to like and respect him. I've followed his quests for the better part of over a year and a half. And like you said, you've never participated. You just like to bully in general, you've never read his quests. You should, they're pretty fun.
>>40640846
The poster count didn't even go up. Your samefagging isn't hidden that well.

He has deleted his ask.fm account, he has deleted his twitter account.
Some time ago he posted on twitter that he blew the opportunity of a lifetime. He is a chemist, so it is likely something to do with employment, most likely moving into a more prestigious and better-paying position.

Kaleun is gone. Forever.

Someone post some sad music... as we fare well to a great man... burnt by his very joy... 4chan.
