As if he were a mechanism powered by mighty pistons that had been recently imbued in sacred Martian oils Juliannus immediately jumped and protected you under his strong and ample frame. You readied your weapons and lighted the small torches of your flamer dendrites. The Inquisitress Karelia used her telekinetic abilities to float and telepath powers to detect the presence of possible hidden enemies.

“Protect the Husk as much as you want, we need him!”

The shaper leader looked angry but wary; he knew that he had already lost way too many carnivores and that the war wasn’t leaning to his own victory. Spawning a new generation of Null carnivores would have given him an edge that would mean his victory against an enemy that was better technologically equipped and had access to warp attuned powers.

The Sweeping Claws didn’t want the complete extermination of the Mantle. Their belief on the balance made them believe that with their disappearance of the Mantle, humans would be able to hunt them faster than they could regrow and thus they would become doomed to extinction. They just wanted the Mantle’s surrender or to decrease their numbers enough to stop becoming a threat but still to be able to fight the humans in the following years. With the expansionist and entrepreneur mindset of the Mantle carnivores seeking surrender from them was pretty much impossible. The best way to force them to stop seeking their approach to the stars would be to hunt down all the Kroot shamans.

Right now there were only three possible approaches for his tribe and all of them derived at best into pyrrhic victories.
>>
>>40515081
He could try to ally with the Imperials and Rockborn and together fight the Mantlers. This might lead to devastating casualties for all sides but still his tribe had a chance to survive and breed to increase its numbers in the following years.

Another option was to directly take control of the hidden ship and use its devastating power to obliterate the Mantle until they stopped becoming a threat; this would still get the attention of the Navy and would surely cause an even bigger devastation of planetary scale.

Finally, you were the last option. If they somehow got your nullifying powers from your dead flesh they would have turned into the perfect counter weapon against their shamans and the Mantle’s intentions would turn moot.

The Imperium on the other side had plans and intentions on their own. Obviously nothing of what was developing now could be known by the general populace. Dealing with xenos was completely forbidden and if the Charonisians knew how close they were to a possible invasion there would be uproar with the governess Nalasha as a catalyst and epicenter of the problems. Looking at how guilty the Inquisitress felt with the eldest of the Hermann family she would do all she could to try to keep her out of the dispute.

Right now all you could think off was how to stay alive, planning would have to be left for later.

As tempting as it is to try and devise a cunning way to be able to give them an organ or two and replace them with bionic ones it's not our genetics that bestow us with blankness so it'd wouldn't really solve the problem.

Without a doubt you remove your armor and robes and reveal them your true nature as an adept of the Omnissiah.

Even for the already technology accustomed eyes of Karelia and Juliannus your appearance is kind of terrible. For the carnivores and specially the shapers you are some kind of monstrosity, the spawn between a machine and what once was a human.

"I am much more than a Husk xeno!"

You extended your twelve dendrites and let your hidden weapons free, giving you and even more fearsome appearance, on top of that you activated your lenses and warpsteel mask.

Mentally you adjusted your vox to make it sound deeper and slightly raspy, as if your voice chords were damaged, on the background you also added a small echo that made it sound eerie and kind of supernatural.

"There isn't any flesh on me for your puny Kroot to feast on. I am beyond humanity!"

For those tribal aliens your face and glowing eyes were all the curses and bad omens that they could think of personified into a single entity.

Most of them leaped back in pure fear, giving you and your team a little bit more space to breathe and move.

"Carry us to your temple right now..."

Even if we were numerically inferior our small group was a scary sight for those small minded and ignorant primitives. The mix of the armor clad giant, the mysterious flying woman and your scary look made them kind of think that you were way mere humans.

The walk towards the temple was hard and long, specially for you. The winged Sweeping Claws had no trouble to cross the chasms as they could fly, Juliannus was able to simply gather momentum and jump most of them with ease while Karelia just had to float above them. In your case you always had to find another route or ask for at least three Sweeping Claws to carry you, something that you completely despised due to how uncareful they were with their talons when grabbing your robes and the stench of rust blood that they carried with them. If you were a regular human Karelia could have easily transported you too using her powers but it was best not tho, alas you could risk generating another strange warp phenomena.

After some long hours the journey ended in some hills that were surrounded by mountains. Soon after some meditating it looked kind of obvious, those mountains were not a natural formation but caused by the massive impact that their ship caused during the uncontrolled fall.

We were at first carried into a rock temple that soon revealed to be just part of the hull, that had been vitrified and decorated as the centuries passed by. As we went deeper and deeper the crude yet beauty religious iconography and tribal totems became less common until they were completely substituted by the usual corridors, pipes and other kind of machinery that while strange or bizarre was of a similar enough shape to make you feel more comfortable with your environment.

"Going further is forbidden, Metal Husk, for not even us know what lies beneath."

"First show us what other areas there might be in this ship. I first need to know the body before accessing the heart."

The shaper hissed at you, obviously not used to be controlled after years of dominance over the lesser members of his tribe. To appall him you activated your vibrowrists and the lenses of your eyes and then using the vibration of your hands started to scribe on the metallic surface a basic litany of peace for the possible machine spirits that inhabited that ship, vainly hoping that they might one day achieve enlightenment and become like the human machine spirits.

The eyes of the old leader opened wide as he saw how your mere touch was able to bend and cut metal, one of the strongest materials that he knew. Not only that, your started to write on high-gothic and lingua-technis, two languages that were completely strange and incomprehensible for him. Inside his alien mind you were pretty much bending the metal and writing a strange and probably powerful spell on the strong metal.

"VERY WELL VERY WELL! NOBODY ELSE BUT THE SWEEPING CLAWS HAVE ENTERED INTO THOSE AREAS FOR MORE THAN THREE HUNDRED SUMMERS!"

His intention of making his permission sound ancient and powerful became powerless to your hears, the ship you came in probably was way older than that. Three hundred years was nothing but a blink for the Imperium of Man.

You and your team were led to different areas like the living grounds were not only regular Carnivores lived but also other subtypes like some hound like creatures and even what looked like a dinosaur from the ages past that once roamed Terra.
>>
>>40516194

---

Most regular carnivores lived in high areas, columns and open vents that they had turned into their personal nest, while the hounds and the rest, as they were wingless or only had vestigial appendages, were stuck to the ground, were they feed from the rests of the other in the top.

As for weapons the ship had just some basic batteries, mostly for self defense or asteroid attacking but none that could face the might of an Imperial warship. Still, the crude ammunition that they used was of an high enough caliber to create great losses among the unwary Kroot of the Mantle.

Some other rooms were filled with what looked like server rooms, they had a great layer of dust and spidery looking webs covering them but still some still hummed and showed faint lights under their silky coverage.

You still didn't knew how the Kroot had been able to build this ship as it has everything necessary to function but it seems that the own creators don't know anything about how it truly functions.

With your curiosity sated you spoke once again.

"I wish to go to the heart of the machine alone. I ,as a spokesperson of the Machine God, am the only one who can truly understand the mechanisms and inner workings of those alien designs."

"NO!" Yelled the Shaper, starting to get tired of our dominance.
>>
>>40516212
Juliannus, tired of the old alien looked at Karelia, awaiting for an approval notion, she softly nodded and then quickly he grabbed the head of the winged xeno and crushed it with his armored hand without barely breaking a sweat.

"The Imperium has tolerated your presence long enough, we don't owe anything to the Kroot, cooperate or face an absolute destruction that none of your shapers and warriors will be able to survive." Said the Space marine with his gauntlet dripping alien blood.

Acting like cowards but also doing an intelligent move the rest of the Kroot fleed into their hives and left us on our own. Juliannus decided to keep guard on the door to not let any Kroot go after me while Karelia using her powers went flying away in the search of other Imperial warriors for the upcoming battle.

The Interior of the chamber that led to the engines was completely dark and silent with the exception of some chiming pipe or the howling sound of the wind crossing the long corridors.

This. We can FINALLY make use of our dendrite attachement!

>Get two of your four eyes with light and the other two recording while you explore.
>Use the Lux-caster of the Explorator Dendrite

Behind you there was a thick metal door and on the other side a demigod warrior dedicated to protecting the Imperium and probably the closest link with the God Emperor that you will ever meet.

Two of your eyes illuminate with potent white lights and the other two turn red as they start to record everything that you see. To add even more illumination you also add the lux caster that it is included in your Advanced Explorator dendrite, the own light that also provides Wurgen ends helping too and at the end a great cone of light illuminates your way.

In front of you lies a corridor, it seems that both the dimensions and door frames are bigger than what human measures requires but this might be have been designed this way to appeal the many body types that the Kroot can have. There is barely any indication to were to go, only plain walls and stairs that go up and down without any apparent order nor logic.
>>
>>40516737

Unable to think of anything better you ended leaning for an option that was both crude and primitive. Using your chainsword you marked an X on the wall, you would do this for every corridor that you crossed to know it in case you had already taken that path, using your vibrowrists you could also write indications and directions as you discovered them.

You looked at the promethium indicator of your flamer-chainsword, It was half of its full capacity. You better not waste it and use logic or otherwise you could found yourself unable to mark the way back.

With two swift diagonal slashes you carve the great cross into the metal wall and then draw an arrow pointing to were you came with the words "EXITUS". Happy with your work you crossed the corridor and found yourself into separating paths.

One went downer towards a dark area, other had some stairs that apparently lead to some kind of tower or possibly more rooms, the only thing you knew was that there was some mechanical sound on the other side. Encrusted on the wall there was what looked like an elevator or hoist and finally there was another corridor whose end you couldn't see as your lux couldn't illuminate it.

>Go downstairs, the Engines are surely somewhere deeper.
>Go upstairs, that sounds like machines working.
>Go to the elevator, it surely has some button that will send you to the engines.

There has to be an atlas or something around. No matter how alien they are, not even the most chaotic minds can travel such a great place without a map of some kind.

You try to find a cogitator or even a dummy terminal that could let you connect with the servers that you had seen outside. With the exception of some hidden plugs and sockets of strange form you were unable to find anything.

Since you were on an Alien ship the fact of cutting down the wall to reveal its contents and expose possible data cables wasn't so heretical but still you had to save fuel and since you were using your four eyes already you couldn't switch to X-Ray vision to avoid cutting blindly.

Frustrated from the lack of fruit that your efforts brought you just decided to go upstairs and try to discover what that noise is.

Those stairs are tiring and odd to climb, in more than one occasion you almost tripped, they were obviously designed for non-human use and thus had dimensions that didn't completely fit with human feet, making you have to climb slowly or risk falling down due to a badly calculated step.

After an infuriating climb you ended into an illuminated room that seemed to be a mix of a nursery and an armory. There were several crib like beds in which the Kroot wrigglers could maybe safely see how their parents or other adult members showed them the weapons or even trained with them. Most of the blades and weapons that were in there were rusted or dull due to the pass of time and you didn't dared to try to shoot the few sluggers that were lying around for the risk of them malfunctioning and exploding was too high, you cannot be sure with alien engineering after all.
>>
>>40517406
>Go upstairs, that sounds like machines working.

The sound came from a great fan that was on the ceiling, from it the smell of rotten flesh and blood came. It was possibly designed that way to open the apetites of the younglings and force them to eat more and and make them grow up faster and stronger, maybe it could be to generate an hormonal frenzy on the adults and make them train harder in front of the impressionable infants...another theories that formed around your mind was that it could be just a way to accustom them to the smell of blood and meat, a cultural thing or even the malfunction of the ventilation system that connected some other part with this one.

Maybe those fans could be stopped and crossed by to travel across the vent system and reach the engines. Knowing their technology the engine probably requires lots of vents to keep itself cool enough and not reach a critical mass.

You would love to destroy as much of this ship as you could but that isn't your duty. You are here today to awaken its sinful and strange machine spirit and take it to the skies to unleash fury on the members of the same race that built it. For now you will have to damage it as least as possible, once its usefulness is over you will gladly order and request its destruction so its existence finally stops offending the Deux Machina.

Looking around you try to find a panel or a lock that could lead to the stop of the deadly fans. At first your mission wasn't successful, the first lock that you opened seemed to have some kind of faulty mechanism inside as it exploded in a shower of sparks once you opened it and then started smoking from its interior, you simply ignored it and locked the door once again to keep the airflow as small as possible and avoid a possible fire.

The next place you looked in was simply empty, it wasn't what you requested but at least it didn't this time it didn't almost blinded you.

Third time is the charm, after your first two unsuccessful attempts at the end you managed to find a small switch hidden under a heavy panel. After it went down the sound of electricity ceasing to be directed kicked in and soon the fans stopped to move.
>>
>>40517872

Moving one of the alien cribs you managed to reach them and climb up. Using your feet you could freely traverse the circular walls.

The tunnel went up and up and ended into another fan that was still active, possibly feed by another power source. There were several detours around that led into smaller vents. Some were big enough to fit you completely but others were so squat that you would have to crawl to be able to move, finally there were a couple that were so small that only Wurgen could traverse them.

>Go up and see were the fans on the other side lead.

>Use Wurgen to explore the two vents that are way too small for you to explore.

You grab Wurgen and connect with it using a dual channel datalink cable that soon establishes a communication between you two.

With the link completely done the cable is not necessary anymore and you disconnect it, soon your eyes see what his eyes see and once again you feel the strange extracorporal sensation of looking at your own body.

Controlling the skull you are able to freely fly thanks to its double grav engines. Since you have no preference for any of the two possible vents you just fly straight into the closest one, as it is the most logical approach.

It is dark and you feel kind of claustrophobic in such a tight space. Wurgen's eyes aren't near as illuminating or good as yours and thus everything you see looks way darker and shrouded in a strange fog.

With patience you manage to direct it towards the end of the tunnel, it leaded to what seemed to be an Hospital of some kind, there are the mauled bodies of several Kroot that have become mummified or turned into bones due to the conditions around and the sterility of the area.

You floated hover the eerie and grim deceased bodies until reaching the next room, this new place looked like a mix of both kitchen and morgue. There was a freezer with many other Kroot stored inside and other alien skeletons that you couldn't identify, a couple of those bodies even looked human. Next to that freezer was what looked like some kind of furnace. You doubted that those barbaric carnivore aliens had truly developed cooking as an art, probably the oven was just a way to quickly defrost the bodies before serving them.
>>
>>40518438

Advancing more you found what looked like a dinning hall with more half eaten skeletons of all races, including the own Kroot. In the center of it lied the ventilator that was just ahead of you, looking down you once again became able to see your still body.

Surely those sick aliens just keep their wounded in the hospital and in case they died they were transported to the freezer for future consumption along with all the animals and sentient races that they might have captured along. Once they required the meat they just burnt them enough to become soft again and served them, the rest were just thrown into the fan in were the reek of blood made the warriors become more moralized for future raids and hunts...

Now that you knew where to search and how the switch to stop the fans looked you soon managed to find another similar switch and stopped the fans.

If you had only reached the kitchen it could mean that the superstitious and now deceased Kroot shaper might have been pretty incorrect when he believed that the door you entered from led to the engines, this ship was probably way bigger than he used to believe and you are probably in the middle layers of it.

Taken from the Rogue Trader Books

>POWER ARMOR
Power armour is essentially a sophisticated arrangement of thick and heavy protective plates, and uses an extensive system of muscle-like electrically motivated fibre bundles to replicate the movement of the user and augment his strength. As it is normally fully sealed with internal oxygen supplies and a rebreather, the wearer can survive even in hard vacuum for long periods. The helmet is detachable, as most users still wish at some point to see their surroundings with their own eyes. Most suits have a huge backpack containing power supplies and other auxiliary systems, such as vox-links, auto-senses, and targeters.

>INCALCULABLE PRECISION
The manufacture of this device was so utterly precise that many users find its exactness disconcerting until they grow used to the greater level of meticulousness in craftsmanship that it displays. This armour allows its wearer to move with utmost freedom, sliding past those attacks that might penetrate it.

>VANISHING

That aside, I'm getting the impression it will be difficult to fit this around out various dendrites and so on. This might be best studied extensively to see if we can replicate its technology, though I imagine it'll be similar to that time we looked at Julius' helmet. If we give up trying to learn from it I reckon we should give it to Liwet or something.

>Return to your body and go to the freezer, see if you were right and those were human bodies, see if they might have any technology that could be saved.

You direct Wurgen across the fans towards your still body and make contact with both foreheads to make a quick mental transmission and return your mind to your body. This technique while kind of dangerous is a good way of transmitting data via contact.

Wurgen looked directly at you and revved its dual gravity engines making a loud wheezing noise, you didn't had strained him enough to make that engine and you were sure that there wasn't any error in his mechanisms, it had decided to make those noises on its own, probably as a way to show you how little it enjoyed being controlled. Its wolf machine spirit was probably quite temperamental and didn't enjoyed being possessed and striped of the few liberty that it had.

Using your magnetic soles you vertically climbed upon the upper level and reached the "feast hall" in which they all used to reunite and eat the bodies of their deceased and possibly genetic ancestors. With the fans stopped the air would soon fill with bacteria and other kind of toxins that infested the many corpses that lied around, you couldn't stay much more in that place.
>>
>>40519833
You ran back towards the freezer and saw the bodies and ice remnants of what once were alien warriors or strange beasts, not that there is much difference between two... Deep inside you wanted to smash those helpless alien bodies now that they were frozen but still you didn't knew anything of their physiologies and the chance of them being in some kind of biological stasis hibernation and waking up enraged after your attack was something you didn't wanted to risk.

On the deepest part of the cold chamber lied the couple of possible humans that caught your attention. Once you got closer to them you saw that they were a couple that probably once shared a love bond between them, they are hugging each other and the female of the two has some frozen tears that have crystallized before they could fall and are now stuck to her dead cheeks.

The male of the two seems to wear some kind of light power armor of strange but obvious human design, the few visible bolts and screws are of the regular AdMech sanctioned diameter and there are many more details that give the armor and strange yet familiar look. It is formed by a bodysuit that has some dark fibromuscles and are covered by shiny armor parts on several areas.

It doesn't offers a full protection but overall seems to give a good mobility. You tried to find any inscription, name or symbol to identify its origins. While it was obvious that it was designed and constructed by the Mechanicus it could have been owned by some Inquisitorial member, Rogue Trader or even a powerful Merchant.

You were unlucky, it seemed that while it had been able to stop all the attacks without barely any scratch its paint and decoration trinkets didn't had the same luck and time had worn them away to nothingness.
>>
>>40519850

Chanting litanies you started to remove the helmet and shockingly discovered that the man inside hadn't died of wounds or cold, but of hunger. He willingly stood next to his beloved one even after she passed away. If he had been a member of the Mechanicus he could have been able to slightly exchange the measures of the armor to fit her frame and save her life but alas he was something else, and that costed him both his own life and her loved one's.

Carefully you continued stripping him of his armor until all the pieces were on your possession. Surprisingly it was lighter than you believed but still it occupied a lot and left you with no more space to carry things.

Out of the freezer you locked the door with a bar, the idea of the power shutting down and some of those aliens getting loose was pretty frightening for you...

I'm not going to make vanishing quite literal. In the rpg books the effect goes like this:

>Search Tests to find this item (including when it is concealed on a body) suffer a –10 penalty. If the item is a voidship Component, Navigate Tests to find it aboard the vessel suffer a –10 penalty instead.

Its just that it is hard to find. Not that it suddenly disappears.
>>
>>40519866
You cannot wait, having such an special item and not using it feels like a mistake. Besides, your armor is starting to lag behind in comparison with Juliannus power armor and the master crafted power armor of Karelia.

Since there isn't nobody else alive around you don't even search for privacy and strip in the first non corpse covered area that you find.

After removing your armor you feel kind of weird, you had spent entire weeks wearing it and now you had removed it twice in less than twenty four hours.

The fibromuscle bodysuit feels weird, kind of invading as it sticks to your every corner and nook to create an airtight enviroment. After it is installed it expands and bulges, giving you a more muscular frame and making your bionic limbs look more human like.

After that you start to install the armor pieces, what once were light pieces now seem to be weightless, it seems that those muscles don't only act as a defense measure but also slightly improve your own strength. Slowly you start to place the armor pieces on your body, slightly changing the measures were needed to fit it correctly. When they are all done you finally get the helmet and place it on your head.

To your surprise it feels as if you weren't wearing anything and your vision isn't restrained by the covering. It is then when you are surprised again.

It was obvious that your name wasn't on the database and that to call you she used some crude text to speech software. Now that she accepted you the armor seemed to liberate its full potential, letting you free movements. You quickly got your robes and covered yourself with them.

After a while you noticed that while more covered now you couldn't had access to your hidden blade or flamer and neither activate your warpmask or mag-feet among other things, you would have to modify the armor to do all those things. Something similar happened with your dendrites, luckily for you the armor had some ports to introduce them but it only had six, as it is the regular numbers that most people carry. You kind of forcefully became able to slide two dendrites in each hole thanks to all the sacred oil that you carried with you but still in that position it kind of restricted their movement and range.

On your pockets you kept the old pieces of your skitarii armor, since it was slightly smaller now you had some space on them to carry with you any other interesting object that you could find.

"ARMA..."

++YES SIR!++ Said an immediate and submissive voice.

"...I am right now in unknown territory, I require to access the Engines of the ship I am located at."

++RIGHT NOW SIR!++

A loading bar that showed a percentage appeared once again invading your HUD. In the real world you could see how a small laser formed in the shoulder of your armor and started scanning the area around you.

++ARE WE IN A BOARDING ACTION?++

"What? No. Can't you stay quiet?"

++WORRY NOT SIR FOR MY VOICE CAN ONLY BE HEARD BY YOU!++

"Still, be silent." You hated to be interrupted while being focused.

During the rest of the time she just hummed a song, you didn't knew if the recording of the hum was short and repeated over and over but still it pretty much drilled into your head and became incredibly monotonous after a couple of minutes. Just by the time you were about to ask her to completely shut up she ended.

++IT IS DONE SIR! THIS ROOM IS SAFE OF ENEMIES! ADVANCE FOR THE NEXT ONE AND I'LL PROCEED TO SCAN IT!++

It was a pretty good armor but still it had some limitations, obviously in the five minutes that it had spent scanning she couldn't have scanned all the ship, but only the room you were at. Unknowingly she returned an answer that you already know, it could have been pretty useful in the future thought.

You asked her to give you the direction of the Engines and what she did was to study the room in the search of enemies, she obviously didn't had a proper action for what you required and just did what she considered more logic.
>>
>>40521443

"You don't have to scan all the rooms, Arma."

++EVEN IF WE ARE NOT IN A BOARDING ACTIONS ENEMIES MIGHT LURK EVERYWHERE, I WILL ASSURE THAT YOUR JOURNEY TOWARDS YOUR DESTINATION ITS SAFE SIR!++

Maybe there was still a chance of her of becoming useful.

"Yes. I do accept."

And finally, silence. A couple of green lights appeared on your body, one in each shoulder and soon they started to use their faint lights to sweep each half of the room and search for possible computers.

All you had to do now was to advance and cross the walls with your chainsword to mark the places you had already walked by.

Your steps carried you to what seemed like a great nest almost thirty feet in diameter, made from dead vegetable resources mixed with bonedust and a paste made from what looked like muscles and sinew.

On the interior there were some other deceased members of the Krootoid genus, some of them even if mummified seemed to have their stomachs bloated, surely this place was some kind of breeding ground in were after a raid and a great fest they all breed to spawn the new generation that would have the traits that the recently ate flesh would give them.

Disgusted you continued advancing, obviously there wasn't any computer close, it seemed that those xenos barely used any kind of logistics on their daily lives...completely primitive.
>>
>>40522120
Further you found what looked like the living grounds of the original crew, crammed rooms that seemed to be more like a temporal habitaculum rather than a true livingspace, there were some decorations and such but still concepts like doors or other privacy inducers were close to nonexistent, surely the salvage lives of those carnivores made their shortspans short enough for them to understand that these rooms were just a place to sleep and little more because sooner or later they would die.

++SIR SIR! I HAVE FOUND A COMPUTER!++

Arma guided me towards a single small warehouse located at the end of the dorms, it looked like a place were they would simply deposit the objects that they acquired and had no use in their societies, there were several pieces of clothing in there and other tools from various and even possibly alien designs but no weapons, among the rubble there was a portable cogitator that weakly still blinked, desperately trying to get someone's attention to wake it from its slumber.

The laptop was an old an regular model, nothing too fancy, surely constructed for the main Imperial everyday use and equipped with some FENESTRAM Operative System.

Being a human computer it might have valuable information or just junk data that had lost any kind of value decades ago.

You turned it on and hear the soft whirl of its fan, spinning fast and sending years of dust flying away. As you expected it soon booted and showed its SO.

>~FENESTRAM 40.000~<

After it loaded you were able to connect yourself with it not only to recharge its perishing batteries but also to have a more personal access to its contents and bypass the simple login and password.

Once inside you stopped seeing ARMA's HUD overlap because your eyes were not looking at the real world anymore, but the small personal cyberspace stored inside this survivalist computer.

It seems like it once belonged to a teen of undeterminate sex, there are some texts, pictures of several felis felis with strange and grammatical error filled captions and a song or two.

Among those written documents what caught your attention was what seemed to be a small hurriedly written message. It went as it follows.

It was obvious that the poor teenage girl perished on her way, still her intention was really brave and the fact that she wrote it all turned her into a true hero to your eyes. She seemed to be a regular civilian but still knew some things about technology. To extend the battery life of the computer as much as she could Melissa Tellar had deleted every program and heavy non-esential data that she could to remove as much stress as possible to the CPU and then placed the cogitator into hibernation mode.

The result was that even after three hundred years the computer still had a small spark of life in its interior, and thanks to that spark your mission would be a success.

Keeping the computer with you you walked following the directions she gave you and ended finding her deceased body, all covered in cuts and with barely her skull surviving...as a last act of kindness you gathered her skull for a possible future conversion into servoskull. She deserves that honor.

It seems that the reason of why there were so many bodies around and the ship was so sunk on the planet was that it crash landed, instead of landing safely.

You look and scan the engine until you have completely learned its inner mechanisms. It uses a mix of nuclear fusion and fossil fuels to generate the necessary electricity. It also has two locomotion modes, a series of jet engines that let it fly and hover at a very slow speed, fifty miles per hour top, and designed to be used in atmosphere, and secondly a nuclear reaction creator that is able to magnetically send a single atom of titanium and split it as it is flying outwards, creating that way a nuclear explosion that ends becoming bigger as it goes away, and thus pushes the ship in the void.

This second engine could be rigged by simply placing an obstacle strong enough to stop the railing atom while still maintain the splitting en-course. That way there would be a great explosion inside the ship!

In fact...you could even sabotage the engine just now, just in case the Kroot ever decide to fly away. Surely the nuclear mushroom would be a great light show that the orbiting Charonisians would love to see and enjoy.

>Sabotage the engine. It is xenotech, no remorse with it.

>Turn it on and direct part of the energy towards the weapons. This way the ship will only be able to fly half as high and fast ( 500 meters // 25 mph ) but the Sweeping Claws will be able to use the cannons outside.

You turn it on and direct half of the energy to the weapons outside. As the engines are reawakened for the first time in centuries the rest of the facility its illuminated as if it were alive. Soon the entire place rumbles and from crude monochrome screens you are shown the feed from the cameras outside, the great jet engines are turning the mountain around into dust as they start to melt the rocky walls and send a rain of slag around.

It is such a massive and noisy even that surely even the Kroot in the other side of the planet have been able to hear it. Like a murder of crows the entire tribe and smaller branches of the Sweeping Claws come and gather and start flying in around filled with a mix of excitation and fear, when almost the entire nests of all the planet has been gathered out their concentration looks like a huge dark amorphous cloud that is interpreted as a bad omen for the easy to scare Rockborn and the always vigilant Mantle.

By the time they all enter inside the temple has been able to elevate half of itself into the skies, part of the mountain collapsed above due to the rocky movements that originated but still its powerful engines were able to continue ascending until it was completely suspended in the pure air that composed the atmosphere of Heptium.
>>
>>40523857

From other screens you were given feed of how those newcomer winged carnivores got themselves into the seats of the cannons, they were all different and didn't truly knew how those weapons worked but still in this war all the Sweeping Claw tribes united under a common cause and used their ancestral knowledge to be able to control the cannons.

Thousands of faces of both Imperial and Kroot races looked in disbelief at the sphere elevating in the air and blocking the sun for one instant, causing an artificial eclipse that they considered as the end of the Mantle's dominion.

Now it was time to strike back, now it was time to finish this for once.

>So How impressed were the inquisitress and Julianus?
Cant talk about the Inquisitress, she's a fucking mistery even for me. Juliannus has seen a lot of shit during his life, some ground shaking isn't anything shocking for him.

>How scared are the mantle?
The Mantle are surely way more scared because they wanted to have the warpshere for themselves and never thought that the Sweeping Claws would be able to activate it due to their reject to technology.

>What are our odds of clearing the ship out after we don't need the kroot?
I don't completely understand what you mean by clear but if you mean kill you can already imagine that the Kroot ship is surely being targeted by several ships, remember that the ship the Imperials and other teams came in was still in orbit after all.

>>40524048
>Did the kroot fly our team up to the ship or are they left down below?
They were left below, we were an special case.

>What do the flying claws think of us now that we resurrected this great behemoth - do they respect us?
I would say that more than respect they fear us now even more. They Sweeping Claws pretty much reject technology and only dared to live in the outer levels of their ship. Us awakening it up is both a mix and a nightmare for them. It's pretty similar to the tale of Pandora's Box really.

>Would they follow our command?
If scared enough sure.

SO what are our chances of being shot down? Would the governess order it if Karelia made her presence on said ship known?

>SO what are our chances of being shot down?
Karelia isn't on the ship. She went away to talk with the other teams about what could happen. The chances of being shot down by orbital bombardment before battling the Mantle are about...50/50.

>Would the governess order it if Karelia made her presence on said ship known?
She could order it at any time but still Karelia would be above her and deny the order if she had notice of it. If it were later discovered that the governess killed the Inquisitress then it would develop into an Inquisitorial clusterfuck.

SO are there any ways we could get off the ship quickly and non lethally?
>>

Well. You know that bionic that would let us gently sail from the skies as if we had a parachute?

Shame we didn't get it.

Well...let me see:

>We are piloting an enemy battleship.
>We could be shoot down from orbit at any time.
>The woman who has telekinesis cannot correctly use it on us.
>We are as heavy as a fucking anvil.

I would say you guys are pretty fucked up when it come to jumping away.

Alright no more questions it seems so I have uploaded it.
