You are Milerna Jalweyen, angel-blooded and born paladin of Konig. You are almost 9 years old, and are attending paladin training at a church of Konig school.

http://pastebin.com/RE8br4uf

It’s been really fun at Paladin School. Sure there have been ups and downs, sometimes you got punished, and sometimes you got into fights. But even the fights could be fun. You also made a lot of good friends. It’s not just you and Chesi anymore.

Thomas hangs around with the Swordies a lot and comes from a noble family. He is talkative and loves to fight.

Michael is kinda skinny and is as big a nerd as your brother Vivi, but he’s a loyal friend and helps you out in fights.

Gilyan is the daughter of a commoner who was made a knight after winning a joust. She seems really serious a lot of the time, and she can fight really well with a sword.

Sera is part-angel, just like you but her angelic ancestors did something wrong and she is an illega-, illogic-, er, a bastard. Also she’s kinda sensitive about the whole illegible thing.

Jenny is a servant girl and acts really shy but she’s a channeller too and she still has some angel magic from you, unless she used it all up to heal some bully’s you fought.

And today, you’re all going on an adventure!

“Are you sure you’re packing enough stuff?” Gilyan asks Michael, as he’s standing next to three big chests of clothes and books and stuff. The rest of you only have 1 chest each.

“Shut up” scowls Michael, folding his arms “my mother packed my stuff for me, ok?”
>>
“Well I guess she packed enough dresses for you” says Thomas, sat on his own chest of stuff “You’ll be the prettiest girl at the ball, and I’m sure you’ll get to kiss all the bo-” He is interrupted by Michael diving at him. The two of them spend the next few minutes rolling around on the floor play-fighting. At least, you think they’re play-fighting. Chesi sits and watches with a grin on her face as Michael yells at Thomas to *take it back* and Thomas laughs.

“Yes Thomas” Chesi eggs them on “take it all” she notices you rolling your eyes and adds “back.” Chesi has a really weird sense of humour sometimes.

“Ugh boys” says Gilyan “So Mili, what are we doing when we get to Dalvin?”

You drag your attention away from the fight. Right, yes. All of your friends are coming to stay with you over the winter holidays. You’ll be spending some time at Dalvin Keep with Mama Sofia and Mama Jal and then some time in Oreia with Mama Sireyi and Mama Isla.

Your Mamas had to write a lot of letters to your friends parents, because some of them didn’t want their children going anywhere near the *demon lands* and other silly stuff. It’s all sorted out now though.

You’ll be picked up by Mama Sireyi soon, but what will you be doing first? You wrack your brain for fun stuff to do.

“We’ll have to take our trunks to our rooms first” you say “and then, um...there’s lots of snow” you say “we could play in the snow. Also Mama Sofia said we’ll be going on a tour of Dalvin or something sometime.”

“That sounds nice” says Jenny encouragingly “and after that?”

“We’ve got a village of spider people” you say proudly “and a whole village dedicated to Velya, and a iron mine of ogres and a mages guild and churches to all the gods. There’s also the army we can go and visit and forests to play in

“Lets go visit the army” says Thomas in a muffled voice, with Michael sat on him.
>>
“Lets visit the Mages guild” suggests Michael as he tries to lock up one of Thomas’s arms.

“Shut up nerd!” says Thomas in a muffled voice “you’ll just get lost in the library, bury your head in a book and mpfff-” Michael drops an elbow into Thomas’ chest.

“Let’s go play in the snow” says Chesi “We can do the boring stuff later.”

“A carriage-tour sounds interesting” Says Jenny “I’ve never ridden in a carriage before.”

“Oh it’s not a carriage” says Chesi “Dalvin has its own airship now”

“It’s own what?” says Jenny, her eyes wide

“Airship” says Chesi “like a ship, but it flies”

“Oh” says Jenny, looking pale. Maybe she doesn’t like heights?

Sera and Gilyan share a look then Gilyan says “How about visiting the churches? I’m sure *someone* would like to ask about like, ancient religion angel history and stuff.”

What will you be doing when you get to Dalvin?

Yes, it’s a whole Mili-focused thread, for three reasons.

1) Mili’s timeskip should be fun to play through
2) Updating pastebins for the main quest is taking longer than expected
3) I felt like it

I am giving XP out for Sireyi though

General 21 (including 50% bonus)
- Retrieved 3 of 5 weapons 9XP
- Spent time in Parliament 2XP
- Spent time travelling the planes 3XP

Angelic 15 (including 50% bonus)
- Mitigated effects of demon transformation 5
- Defeated Demon of Might 5

Paladin 6 (including 50% bonus)
- Did not help family of vampires 0
- Helped the people of Kelsoreth 4

Divine 12 (including 50% bonus)
- Gained Worshippers on other planes 6
- New Avatar 2

I have no pictures for a Mili quest, if anyone has anything suitable, I’d be grateful

“Fun first” you say “boring stuff later.” You and your friends hang around and talk for a while in the main hall. Other cadets head past you, to the carriages waiting outside, eventually it’s just your little group left.

“So Mili” asks Thomas, once he and Michael have stopped fighting “you never said who would be coming to pick us up.”

Before you can answer the double doors at the end of the hall are opened and in walks your Mama, Sireyi. She’s dressed in a simple white robe, and her wings rise above her shoulders.

“Mama!” you yell happily, running towards her.

“Hello Mili” she says, lifting you into the air and hugging you “wow you’ve gotten big”

“A whole two inches!” you say proudly.

“That’s my girl!” she says, kissing you on the cheek, before turning to your friends “And Chesi” she adds “It’s good to see you again, how are you?”

“I am well your majesty” says Chesi, curtseying.

“No need to be formal” says your Mama, hugging Chesi too “I see you’ve grown too”

“I tried to get more than two inches” says Chesi petulantly “but no one was willing.”

“And these must be your friends” says your Mama “won’t you introduce us Mili?”

“Sure” you say “this is Sera and Gilly and Michael and Thomas and Jenny” you point to each of your friends, they all just stare at your Mama, as if paralysed. Yeah, that happens sometimes.

Your mama approaches them and kneels down until her head is about level with theirs “I’m Sireyi” She says with a smile “Any friend of Mili is a friend of mine.” They all stammer out greetings, their names, or in Michaels case, just wordless nonsense.

“C’mon” says your Mama “stand close everyone, this won’t take long.” And then you are whisked away by magic to Dalvin.
---
Once you’ve got your luggage in your rooms, and you’ve introduced everyone to Mama’s Sofia and Jal, you head outside to the snow. The only annoyance is that your brother Vivi is still at his magic-for-nerds school and won’t be back until tomorrow.
>>
Bundled up in thick puffy outfits and with a handful of angels in the distance, you head out into the snow.

“Let’s build a snowfort” suggests Thomas “and have a snowball war!”

“Boys vs girls?” suggests Gilyan innocently

“Sledding!” Sera puts her argument forth

“Do you wanna build a snow family?” asks Chesi.

Michael doesn’t say much, he looks part-asleep.

“I’m happy to do what everyone else is” says Jenny. But then, she usually says that.

“Let’s have a snowball war” you say to everyone “But we’ll needs some forts like Thomas said, only not just two, maybe seven or eight so we can move around.”

You and your friends set to building a bunch of snow mounds that you can use as cover. When you’ve finished Gilyan asks “So what teams?” and then links her arm through Seras, making her preference (for team mates) obvious.

“That’s not fair!” says Michael “Sera can make magic shields, if you get Sera then it should be you two against everyone else.”

“Or” you say, rolling your first snowball “we could play...EVERYONE FOR THEMSEVES!” and then you throw your snowball at Thomas, you miss, but Michael catches it in the ear, yeah, you meant to do that.

With the first snowball thrown, open war breaks out!

You duck behind one of the forts and start making more snowballs as everyone scatters.

Many snowballs are thrown, fistfuls of snow are shoved into jackets, alliances are formed, then are torn apart, there is no loyalty in a snowball war, no one can be trusted.

You and Michael team up to hunt down Thomas, only for Chesi to catch you from above!

“Flying is cheating!” yells Michael, as you take cover underneath a tree.

“Demons fly, mortals cry!” yells Chesi, dropping snowballs between the trees branches. Your return shots all miss.

In fact most of your thrown snowballs miss, only when you get up close and shove snow inside everyone’s jackets are you able to hit them. You spend most of your time ducking and dodging.

Eventually there are three tentative alliances formed: you and Thomas; Chesi and Gilly; and Jenny, Sera and Michael.

As you and Thomas sneak up on them, you can see Gilly and Chesi keeping up a steady barrage of snowballs, as Sera and Jenny throw theirs back from the safety of a snow fort. Meanwhile, Michael sneaks around to catch Gilly and Chesi unawares, and armload of pre-made snowballs in his arms.
>>
“Let’s get him!” Thomas points at Michael. None of the combatants have noticed you yet.

Your intervention could tip the balance of this battle, or you could sit back and watch, or even attack both sides.

“Yup” you agree with Thomas “Follow me”. The two of you sneak up on Michael, even as he is sneaking up on Gilly and Chesi. The two of you make your snowballs as you go, and just as Michael carefully places his on the ground, ready to start his cowardly attack from behind, you launch your own attack from behind for honour and righteousness!

“Aaaargh-thpft-glaah!” objects Michael as you both hit him on the back of the head, and then in the face when he turns around. Fleeing in the face of your superior snowball-power, Michael is out of the fight.

Then the two of you head up to support Chesi and Gilly, the four of you keeping up a sustained barrage against Sera and Jenny until they surrender. Michael is hunted down and pelted with snowballs until he surrenders.

“This battle is ours!” yells Chesi, pointing “to the victors go the spoils – Michael from here on you shall be my personal b-”

Whatever Chesi wants from Michael is lost as you hear Mama Sofia yelling “Lunch is ready!”
---
Once back inside the keep wet coats are removed and you all sit down to lunch with Mama Sofia, and Mama Jal, telling them all about what happened at your Paladin School.

“A monster?” says Mama Jal, as you tell her about the scary monster with eyes in its hands “Really?” Mama Jal is grinning, like you’re making a joke.

“Yes Mili” says Mama Sofia “Do tell...” She pauses, listening intently

You and your friends are all talking at once, so you might miss exactly what your Mama is so interested in. At your side, Chesi slumps down and moves closer to you, as if scared. But why would she be scared? There’s nothing scary here.

What else do you tell your Mamas about?

>>
“It was a real monster Mama Jal!” you insist “If not for Sera, we would have been in *real* trouble.” As you tell them all about your fight against the creepy monster, Mama Jals smile slowly disappears, and Chesi presses up against you more. On the other side of Chesi is Mama Jal and....her metal cup in her grip is all funny-looking, like crumpled.

You tell your mama’s *all* about your adventures at the school, and your friends back you up and add in their own accounts – though you don’t recall Thomas being in every single fight...

You talk about Faian-Throkos, about your regular battle with the bullys, about the swords you got to use.

“I almost chopped Mili in the shoulder!” exclaims Thomas, re-enacting his down-wards stroke with a butter knife.

You talk about how much all the punishments you suffer suck, and how boring they are. But at least not everything is boring, you got to go to speak to a demon with a funny helmet, and-

“You drank what?” asks Mama Sofia, in that very-soft voice she uses when you’ve done something bad. At your side Chesi whimpers and hugs you, burying her face in your shoulder. You’re a bit worried, you didn’t think you had done anything wrong...but maybe you did?

“There wasn’t much wine in it” you explain “and it was watered down, there was some herbs in it” herbs are good for you, right? “And uh, yeah, the imp bled into it - it tasted horrible” you add. There, you’re safe, medicine tastes horrible, but you have to drink it. What you drank tasted horrible, so it was probably medicine.
>>
There is silence at the dinner table, even your friends have picked up that something is wrong. Mama Jal lays a hand on Mama Sofias shoulder as Mama Sofia closes her eyes tightly and pinches the bridge of her nose. You can hear her counting slowly. After a few seconds she smiles at you a bit too widely and says “well those all sound like very exciting adventures Mili” and then she address all of you “what would you like to do after lunch?”

Everyone chimes in with their suggestions.

“See the army!” insists Thomas

“Mage guild!” requests Michael

“Churches” says Sera softly

“Airship tour sounds fun” says Gilyan

“Um, I don’t mind” says Jenny “whatever you want.

Chesi doesn’t speak, she just loosens her grip on you very slitly, something has really got to her.

“What do you want to do Princess?” Mama Jal asks you, her hand still on Mama Sofia’s shoulder.

“Why don’t we stay in the keep this afternoon?” you suggest. You’re not sure what’s wrong with Chesi, or Mama Sofia, but something is, and if you stay at the keep, you can keep an eye on them both.

Your friends whine, protest, or in Thomas’s case prepare to throw bread at you, only to be quelled by a glare from Mama Sofia. Your Mama then stops glaring at Thomas as he sheepishly returns his bread to his plate, and she says to you “that’s a wonderful idea Mili – you know which parts you need to avoid, right?”

“Of course mama” you say, you do indeed know the parts of the keep you need to avoid being caught sneaking into.

After dinner you all leave the table and you show your friends around the keep. As they’re looking at the paintings in the great hall, you pull Chesi off to one side “what’s wrong?” you ask her “are you ok?”

“I’m fine” she whispers to you, so the others won’t overhear “but your Mama is mad”.

You try and recall anything you did wrong, but can’t “why?” you ask

“I don’t know” says Chesi “but she’s mad, I’ve never felt anger like that” she stares off into the distance “the sort of rage that will burn the world.”

“You gotta be kidding” you say “sure she seemed a bit mad, but not *really* mad.”

“Well, she did control it” says Chesi “but still, I dunno, what did we do wrong?”

“We didn’t do anything wrong” you reassure her “C’mon”

As your tour is concluding, Thomas asks “So Mili, this keep is pretty big, I guess it has lots of places to hide?”

You and Chesi share a grin “you have no idea” you say.
---
“Eleven...twelve...thirteen...” says Sera, facing a wall with her hands over her eyes

“Why does everyone get a head-start but me?” you complain

“Fourteen...fifteen...because this is your house” says Sera “so you know all the good spots.”

“Chesi knows them too” you grumble

“Sixteen...she said she didn’t” says Sera
>>
You stop short of calling Chesi a bad name, only saying “so she says...”

When Sera gets to thirty she says “Ok Mili, *now* you can go. I’m coming to find you in another thirty-count.”

With only half the time of your friends to hide, you rush off. Seems like they were all paying attention when you showed them around, all the good hiding places are taken, and you’re not allowed to share.

Where do you hide?

Why would the books even have been left in Dalvin instead of being taken to Oreia with Isla and Sireyi?
>>
>>40448561
Dalvin keeps had more protections, until recently there was nowhere in Oreia to store them safely.

I wonder why...

Also this >>40448578
>>
>>40448561
There's probably one in Dalvin and one in Oreia.
>>
Oreias defences and stronghold are still under construction, at this point in time in Mini Paladin.
>>
>>40448578
Sireyi or Velya's Heavens would probably be safer. Those things are incredibly hard to get into uninvited, IIRC, and Velya's Heaven is full of angels.

It's somewhat odd that Sireyi isn't keeping her angels in her Heaven during their off hours, now that I think about it, unless she is and it just hasn't been explicitly mentioned.
>>
>>40448594
There is really no reason to take the risk to have them in Oreia. The Keep in Dalvin is very well protected, and Sireyis home in Oreia was not.

Probably would have transported them to Oreia after the fortress was finished, but Sireyi had other stuff on her mind, and Isla is easily distracted.
>>
>>40448624
>It's somewhat odd that Sireyi isn't keeping her angels in her Heaven during their off hours
I don't find that particularly odd, there is nothing in Sireyis heaven, so they have no reason not to help in Oreia/Dalvin.
>>
>>40448655
They still get time off, I think.

I'm not sure that they're doing anything in the first place, other than Ophinus.

They've been spending all their time off dating Reborn Succubi, obviously.
>>
>>40448679
>They still get time off, I think.
Probably a lot actually, but no reason not to spend that in Oreia and Dalvin.

>I'm not sure that they're doing anything in the first place
Probably helping out where needed, guards obviously, but also mediators. The succubus clans don't all like eachother.
Some are now teachers, helping in construction, whatever is needed.
>>
>>40448704
Going to be interesting to deal with the fallout of the first succubus/angel child being born in Oreia.

Yeah, they won’t check inside Mama Isla’s workshop, you head there. Mama Isla always locks her workshop but the lock is all fiddly and if you lift the door *just* right you can get in.

As you open the door you feel a familiar tickling all over your skin – you ignore it. You remember overhearing Mama Isla promising Mama Jal and Mama Sofia that her wards wouldn’t affect you and Vivi – not after Vivi got his hand burned. You know that you can walk through any of Mama Isla’s magic easily.

Inside her workshop is lots of long benches with all sorts of weird magical gee-gaws piled up, it’s pretty messy in here. And to think, Mama Sofia complains when you leave your clothes all over your bedroom floor!

Grown-ups really do have one set of rules for themselves and another for kids. You spot an almost-clear crawlspace under one of the benches and you try to squeeze into it, but there’s a big wooden box in your way, huh, why didn’t you see that before?

Well, whatever, you shove it, it doesn’t move. You push harder, still nothing. You push at it with everything you’ve got, muscles straining as you *will* the box to move. You feel *something* within you explode, or move, or change.

[Arcane Energy 2/17]

The box goes flying, tumbling and thumping across the room, making lots of noise. You chase after it in a panic. If it makes too much noise Sera will hear, and she’ll find you!

Also, if stuff is out of place, Mama Isla *might* just realise. As the box flips a big heavy book falls out and hits the floor.

You catch up to the box and drag it back to where it’s supposed to be, then you go to pick up the book.

As you get a good look at the open pages the complicated arcane symbols seem...familiar...you stare at them for a few seconds. You read a little way down the page.

“Rituals for banishing unquiet shades” you read out-loud “the typical shade is not a true soul, but more a memory tied to a place, banishing it is a mercy to both the living and the dead.”
>>
This is a magic book. As you pick it up to put it back in the box you read more as you walk.

How long you stand there with the heavy book in one arm, slowly turning the pages with the other, you don’t know. But your arm feels *really* tired when you hear someone coming, and hear Seras voice “I’ve found Chesi and Thomas and Jenny, just Gilly, Mili and Michael to go!”

The sound of Seras voice snaps you out of reading the book. Uh oh, you need to hide!

But the book, it’s so interesting...it calls to you....

What do you do?

Its a tome on necromancy crafted with the knowledge of the necromancer kings of old, you can bet its exactly that diabolical. Just the guy who wrote it is a "the ends justify the means" kind of guy

Mindfuckery was not at all the reason why we didn't have Sireyi read it.

Yes
>>
>>40448915
I think the books only get really diabolical if you read multiples of them. For example, the things that the LoL was doing in that refugee camp would probably require Necromancy and Arcane. I don't think the books writer would want to risk bringing another Lord of Life into existence, so some thing are probably out of the book altogether.
>>
>>40448945
>It was originally.
No it wasn't. Originally it was because we didn't want to throw all possible power-ups on Sireyi because she already got so much stuff going that we wanted to have other people read the books to diversify their powersets.

You can definitly do diabolical shit with any of them, the thing in the refugee camp is most likely something you'd learn from the Arcanotek book, the books are just pure knowledge, what you DO with that knowledge, is a different matter.

>>
>>40449040
Fine by me, it is ultimately a moot point now and I'm fine with this course of action.
>>
>>40448987
Even if Sireyi never learns it was Mili that read the book somehow, a book disappearing is enough that last book is getting locked in a box you'd need to be a god to break into. So that's wildly unlikely.

>>40448972
I think the mutagenic ooze is more arcane and necromantic than mechanical, but it probably has elements of mechanical knowledge in that iteration. The LoL uses all three sources, after all.

>>40448982
>>40448985

Absowe will be delighted.
>>
>>40449093
I wonder if we'll end up taking the Death domain after this and have Mili become another Avatar of us. Interplanar domination through accepting everyone is a go?
>>
>>40449113
Life and Death often come in pairs.
>>
>>40449113
Aside from there being almost no reason to take the Death domain since Life doesn't hate undead like Angels hates demons, we don't have access to it anyway.
>>
>>40449113
I think its unlikely to spark Sireyi to get the Death domain.
Even if Mili goes full necromancy all day every day, it will take years before anything really comes out of it.
Seems to me more that Mili will be covering her mothers blindspot when it comes to undead.
>>
>>40449121
Indeed. I really enjoy the whole duality thing we got going, hopefully Sireyi can get over her undead issues, especially for Mili's sake.
>>
>>40449138
>we don't have access to it
I disagree with getting the Death domain, but we can, theoretically, get access to it if the circumstances are right, in a similar way how we got access to the succubus domain.

>>40449148
Sireyi doesn't have much of a undead issue, they make her mildly uncomfortable. Thats about it.
>>
You crawl underneath Mama Isla’s desk, taking the book with you, just a few more pages...
---
You stop reading when there’s no longer enough light to see the words by. Looking around, you realise night has fallen. Uh oh, your Mamas are going to be worried about you. You quickly put the book back in the box and leave Mama Isla’s workroom and head through the keep, looking for someone.

You can hear loud voices coming from one of the meeting rooms, it sounds like Mama Sofia. You stop to listen at the door.

“What do you mean your spell can’t find her?!” yup, definitely Mama Sofia

“We’re not getting any return at all” explains another voice, a mans voice, one you don’t know “Baroness Sofia please, the child can’t have gone far.”

“Contact Sireyi” says Mama Sofia “right now, Isla too – they will find her, even if you cannot!” She sounds really mad. You cringe a bit, and then push open the door.

You stand in the doorway as everyone looks at you: Mama Sofia and a bunch of old men in robes with funny symbols on them. No, not funny symbols, the markings of the schools of magic: the lesser seven and the one greater school of the secrets of life and death. The symbols are just cloth stitching, but they can be used as a focus to shape magic through, to rip away their life forces to fuel your own power. Unbidden, words of power come to your lips and you start to mumble. You are interrupted.

“Mili?” says Mama Sofia, and then faster than you can see she is there, grabbing you, picking up and hugging you, kissing you on both cheeks and hugging you again, you feel wetness on her cheek, is she crying?

“You’re safe!” she says “Thank the Gods you’re safe!”

Then she puts you down, and her look of relief turns to one of anger “Where were you? You’ve been missing for hours!”

How do you respond?

really wanted to post this yesterday.

Right. Missed the last thread. Anyway on conversion and the whole Succubus thing. Our summoning negociations are something we have to get done
if we want more worshipers. Oreia is not attractive only because its easy to summon from here instead of another plane,
what should make it even more attractive and tasty ought ot be some extra services, allwoing for Oresian Succubi to be legitimized and confirmed,
probably by having a beurocracy that records every succubus and will send confirmation whenever requested to check them,
probably with a few extraction teams/ support teams if need be to imediatly extract a summoned succubi or help them out if its something highly important.
This way we can certify that they are using Oresian Succubi who are not serving a force of Evil but a Goddess in good standing with their main Pantheon.
With that done Oresian Succubi would be leagl in a lot of countries and that would allow Wizzards and other magic users to not only summon succubi with
greater ease and less effort but use their serice in the open. And this allows the Succubi more time around their summoner and open and honest access
to the people who use her summoner sercices. Nobles, Merchants, Beurocrats, Officers, Landlords, Farmers, Craftsmen.
The general succubi sales pitch is being underhanded and promising grat power in exchange for the soul, this can most likely be exausting and it can be changed
with the far more bearable spreading of word and attempting to get people to convert to Sireyi. Pamplets, and such, basically being the planes Jehova Whitnesses.
And all those people using her summoner services are targets of oportunity, since its not all that likely for the Summoner to be converted, what with being
either a priest of some divine power or as a Wizzard worshiping the Goddess of Magic.

>>
>>40449319
No, she knows she read 'a' book. There is lots of books in Islas study.
And thats a shitty meta reason anyway, Mili has no reason IC not to give her a honest explanation.
>>
>>40449327
But what the greatest benefit is not converting people but making them aware of Sireyi and getting people comfortable with her and her followers to a greater degree thus descalating potential conflicts and making people like as
while disinclining them to help others harm us.

Especialy if we can craft a narative of essentialy being as good a divine fairytale as a scandal.
The darling of Valenya, child of one of her head angels whom was nursed by Valenya to godhood, who got married with the last living descendant of Konig and got a child out of that,
It is in essence a way to bring people closer to our home pantheon by making them more involved and interested and pehraps more devout to the pantheon as a whole.

We might want to coordonate a bit with the patheon and try to endear ourselves a bit but at the same time we got to be the speartip on this initiative.
The other natural way for Succubi to convert is to consider volunteers to try and create a underground railroad of sorts for Succubi in other
hells or that were missed in the original planes of the Oreian Succubi, ensuring a evacuation option in case they are to be killed and at the same
ime spreading the faith of Sireyi, and boosting her power.
>>
>>40449345

>>

>>40449345
cont.

This one has the potential to drag us into a Heaven vs Hell war, but at the same time it establishes a support network and it gives morally unambiguous targets for using our spies and Intel agents, so we can have greater numbers of them.

If the succubi are as good at intel as I suspect with our Aunt and Jal training them and their guerrilla fighters succubus lifestyle. In also establishes a similar threat that the hells have bean posing with their cults on their home turf, something that its not being done at the moment, and even the god of that lost paladin whom I suspect is now part of the Beltnotchers did not
have as good a option to do it as Sireyi.

He was a Redeemer, but Sireyi in end effect is more of a Liberator/Revolutionary, who has some serious experience in this, and seems to be Sireyis main course.

The only problem is that we cannot predict if it will ignite conflict before or after the whole Killing Frost and Lord of Life business but its a very very attractive option to boost our Succubi worshiper numbers who now provide
more DP and we can help them out of a bad situation with support, guidance and if need be evacuation to a safe place while they can help with just some prayer, the belief and faith can come later when we prove ourselves useful and when Sieryi really dealt with how she feels about the whole goddess thing beyond having to do it right because its the right thing to do.
>>
>>40449372

So yeah, imho it seems I presented a business strategy to expand our influence and worship. And we do not even have a holy book,
outside of a joke book.

Well, if we do not have a book yet we could go for a oral tradition, one that can easily be turned into collections of short stories,
parables, poems and songs that can be used as pamphlets, jingles, post cards, and so on.
Once we collect them we could give them some good titles, and they would all be tailored to elicit certain feelings, and act more like a guide
book.

“I was reading this book in Mama Isla’s workshop” you say “I guess I lost track of time, sorry.” You try to look as sorry and as cute as possible, to mitigate your mothers wrath.

“Everyone was looking for you!” says Mama Sofia “Mili you can’t just- wait, what book?”

You show Mama Sofia the book in the workshop. Your Mama opens it and then quickly closes it again, screwing her eyes up tight.

“Mili” she says in that calm-but-angry voice “You know you’re not supposed to be in here.”

“I was looking for a place to hide” you say, looking down at your feet and twisting about, trying to think of a good excuse.

Mama Sofia comes over to you and put her hand on your forehead “how do you feel?” She asks, not sounding angry at all now.

“I’m fine” you protest, if your mama thinks you’re sick, you won’t get to spend any time with your friends over the holidays.

But truthfully, you do feel a bit funny, like you want to sick up....

“I want Isla and Sireyi to look at you” says Mama Sofia “And Poppy too.”

“I feel fine!” You protest.
---
“And how many fingers am I holding up?” asks Poppy

“Four” you say sulkily. It’s late at night and you’re tired. Your Mama’s and Poppy have been poking and prodding you and asking you stuff for hours and hours!

And then they start talking over your head, which is really annoying. You’re sat on a stool in Mama Isla’s workshop, all of your Mama’s are there, and Aunt Poppy.

“Physically she’s fine” says Poppy “some inflammation in her digestive system, but I think that has more to do with drinking demon blood than anything she read.”

“She’s definitely radiating arcane magic” says Mama Isla, sounding worried “with a strong necromantic signature – but it is fading.”

“That’s good” says Mama Sofia “but...”

“But her own arcane powers are strong now” says Mama Sireyi “as strong as Vivi’s, maybe stronger, but focused into one area.”

“Yes” says Mama Isla “Necromancy.”
>>
>>40449623
Succubus domain should have alerted the succubi of Sireyi's existence and of Oreia.
>>
“How bad is it?” asks Mama Sofia.

“Physically she’s fine” says Mama Sireyi “And I can’t detect any damage to her mind, but...”

“But?” asks Mama Jal, standing at the back, leaning on a wall.

Mama Isla asks you “Mili why does a light spell cast light into a magic-dead zone, but a darkness spell stop at the edge of one?”

You shrug, you have no idea.

“And” continues Mama Isla “why is a forcewall permeable to ordinary light, but not a Sunburst spell?”

“I dunno” you say.

“What are you doing?” asks Sofia

“Those are ordinary questions for beginner magic students” says Isla “this next one...is from a Necromancy Masters exam. Mili: what are the three key side-effects of the multi-phylactery or *segmented essence* theory as outlined by Master Volkmir in his treatise on the Ankaran Liches?”

The answer looms large in your mind, the words make no sense to you, but you know exactly what the answer is.

Apologies for the delay, was on the phone. My mother calls at the strangest times.

You’re not going to lie to your Mama’s about something like this. You blurt out the answer.

“The multi-phylactery theory has three main side-effects that make it unattractive to many liches” you say. Ugh, you sound like Vivi at his most nerdy “firstly, upon the death of the lich, the regrowing body, or necrotere, may simultaneously cohere at several of the linked phylacteries at once. This phenomena is mimics a simulacrum spell in many regards, with multiple liches reviving, however all of the liches are incomplete in mind, if not body. This is caused by the arcane links between the phylacteries being attenuated.”

“Secondly, even if only a single necrotere coheres, the location may be at any of the phylacteries locations, or at none of them. Likely locations of the necrotere are thought to vary based upon the order in which the phylacteries were made, though the intensity of localised arcane energies may also affect this.”

“Thirdly” you say “even if a single necrotere coheres at a predictable location. The mind of the lich is often damaged. Though not incomplete, it’s thoughts and experiences are disordered, resembling madness. This is not true madness but rather a side-effect of the failure of the liches mental faculties to organise properly upon its remortisation.”

You wonder what that all meant, no wait, that’s not all of it...

“What was that?” asks Mama Sofia

“A text-book answer” says Isla “describing a problem that has plagued necromancers for thousands of years.”
>>
You continue “The first side effect can be overcome by aligning the phylacteries essence accumulation or *soul-recover* mechanism to divert the essence to a single phylactery, this is supposed to happen by design in many web-worked phylacteries however the inscriptions that describe the essence-gathering process must be ordered in priority on each phylactery – in brief each phylactery exerts an equal *pull* upon the liches soul, this *pull* must be artificially altered to allow an order of precedence or rank amongst the phylacteries.”

“What is she doing?” asks Mama Jal

“She’s...she’s solving it” says Mama Isla, grabbing a quill, ink and parchment, and making notes.

“The second side-effect, that of location” you say, your voice sounding harsher, like you’ve a sore throat “can be solved using the Conjurers Gateway matrix. Tying each phylactery to the others, in a manner similar to a webwork of gateway spells, allowing in an arcane sense, each phylactery to occupy the same space.”

“The third side-effect” you start, but Mama Sireyi interrupts you “That’s enough Mili” she says, snapping her fingertips in front of your face “Mili, Mili can you hear me?”

“Yes Mama Sireyi” you say “I can hear you.” And you can, you didn’t fall asleep, you were just talking.

You sit on your stool as all of your Mamas look at you, with different expressions on their faces.

Finally Mama Sireyi says “Let’s get you to bed, you’ve had a long day.”
---
The next morning, you are having breakfast with your friends, when a guard comes in and announces that *Young Master Vivien* has returned.

“Vivi!” you yell in excitement, scrambling to your fee, you haven’t seen your brother in ages!

“Mili!” snaps Mama Sofia “sit down, he’ll be here in a minute.” All of your friends and Mama’s are here at breakfast.

“But Mama....” you whine.

“Just wait” she says.
>>
Soon enough, Vivi enters the room, then you can’t restrain yourself anymore and you’re rushing towards him “Vivi!” you yell excitedly as he yells “Mili!” the two of you meet in the middle and hug one another, both talking fast “how have you been, how is palading school, how is nerd-school, you’ve grown, your hair looks goofy, who are your friends?”

You introduce Vivi to each on your friends: Thomas and Michael give him friendly smiles and nods. Jenny gives him a shy smile and a wave. Chesi hugs him and Gilly and Sera share a look and Sera mutters “Oh great, two of them...” But she’s smiling at least.

“What’re we doing today?” asks Vivi.

“Whatever it is” says Mama Sofia “You will have guards.”
---
The rest of your time in Dalvin is tightly controlled – where you go, who you talk to, and what you do. You have fun but...you don’t get much freedom.

After a couple of weeks, you’re really looking forward to Oreia. When you arrive in the teleportation circle, Mama Sireyi is there waiting “Ok everyone” she says “What do you want to do first?”

Everyone has their own ideas.

“Can we see the demons?” asks Thomas. That’s silly, they’re everywhere.

“Oreia has all these mountains” says Sera, looking around “can we go climb one?”

“The magic forest” says Michael

“The government” says Gilly

“How about I show you my school” says Vivi proudly.

“That sounds nice” says Jenny “can we do that, I mean...if everyone wants to...” her voice trails off. Chesi shoots her a look and grins, but doesn’t say anything.

Sireyi she will get chewed out a alot, Sofia will probably straight up try to kill her.
>>
“Let’s go see Vivi’s school” you say. You want to see how good it is compared to your school.

Mama Sireyi covers her mouth with her hand “Ok” she says “let’s do that, but ah, Vivi goes to school at the Elders Circle mostly. Everyone I think you should prepare yourselves, you might see some things you’ve not seen before” she sounds like she’s trying not to laugh.
---
The Elders Circle is a sprawling mess of half-finished buildings and tents. It’s also teeming with succubi – both young ones and grown-up ones. It’s really hard for you to tell a grown-up succubus’s age.

You tried to get a snowball fight going on the way, but that broke up as soon as your friends caught sight of this place. It’s ok, you guess, but not as good as *your* school.

As soon as you arrive a bunch of succubi come out to greet Mama Sireyi, and she sends you off with some other succubi to show you around.

“This is the auditorium” says Vivi. Showing you a big open room, that’s partly built. It looks ok, maybe. You and your friends also have a crowd of a couple-dozen succubi following you. Everywhere you go people say stuff like “Hello Prince Viviken, who are your friends Prince Viviken? Would you like to come and study with us Prince Viviken?”

You have to admit, it seems Vivi has a lot more friends than you at his school...and he seems totally happy too...

“What do you think?” asks Vivi “looks impressive, right?” He gives you a smug grin. You love you brother, but right now you want to smack him.

“It’s ok I guess” you say, shrugging, and then you turn to your friends “What do you think?”

Michael has his hands over his eyes “very nice, I’m sure” he mumbles.

“What’s wrong with you?” asks Chesi

“I’m fine” says Michael

“Your eyes...” says Chesi

“It’s the um, the ladies” says Michael, nodding in the direction of your entourage “They’re undressed.”

You look over “No they’re not” you say “They’re wearing clothes”

“Not enough” says Michael.
>>
Sera, Gilly and Jenny are likewise covering their eyes, or looking away, and blushing, just like Michael is. You look over, all of the succubi are wearing what they normally wear – enough to cover parts of their pelvis, and some of their chest....and not much else. What is bothering your friends?

Thomas is....watching them openly, and grinning, some of the younger succubi are giving him appraising glances.

“Who are your friends Prince Viviken?” calls out one of the girls

“My sister and her friends, Hanria” answers your brother with a smile “come and meet them.”

“This ought to be good” says Chesi “I’ll go fetch the smelling salts...”

What do you do?

Lets get this shyness issue solved.
This is how succubi act and dress. Nothing new. They don't have to dress and act like succubi if they don't want to.

This ought to get their tolerance for weird and their integrity upgraded.

Integrity and a tolerance for the weird is something that all good paladins need, like mama Sireyi

>>
>>40451737
Not at all, it still made her stronger, the principle behind both events was the same, and Isla and Sireyi are definitly intelligent enough and know enough about magic to understand that.
>>
>>40451718
Welp, he're hoping that Vivi doesn't grow up to be a harem protag
>>
>>40451757
>Living the dream.
Its not like it matters to succubi. Being a attractive angelblood and royalty is what lets him live the dream here.
>>
>>40451819
Harem protag would require succubi to have a concept of monogamy. Which they don't.
>>
>>40451757
And some people wanted to send him to paladin school instead of this.
>>
>>40451814
One incident is undergoing a ritual designed to turn mortals into demonbloods that normally makes angels Fall. The other is Sireyi consuming her own essence *after* it had been purified. If she had consumed it raw, she would've gotten demonic traits. I fail to how the latter proves the former could only awaken angelic powers. The only reason it did that in-character is due to Milerna's god-blood, and our knowledge about god things tends to be lacking.
>>
>>40451941
>I fail to how the latter proves the former could only awaken angelic powers.
I never said anything about that. I said it made her stronger, which was the point.
She would be able to sense it if Mili had demonic traits, and the fact she doesn't obviously leads to the conclusion that it got purified.
>>
>>40451992
Except the ritual requires multiple uses to cause demonic traits in angelbloods. I fail to see how the first dose behaving exactly as the first dose would means it was purified.

If the justification is that she's stronger and that the only way she could be so was that it was purified, her powers that the ritual awoke were entirely related to her Willpower and Intelligence which could easily be seen as things the book sparked the awakening of since Sireyi didn't examine Milerna before then.

In addition, Milerna's story doesn't match with it having been purified at all and she does show signs of having consumed demonic blood, which wouldn't be present if it was purified since her body wouldn't have tried to reject it causing inflammation.
>>
“I’m Mili” you say “and this is Gilly, Sera, Thomas, Michael and Jenny.”

Your two groups mingle and introduce each other. Almost all of the girls want to meet *Vivis sister* and you greet them politely in Oreian fashion – with a hug and a brief kiss – just a brush of lips or a kiss on the cheek, depending upon the person.

Your friends...need etiquette lessons...

“Uh nice to meet you” Gilly starts “I’m Gilyan and mhmh- woah what was that!?” she jumps back after the first kiss.

“Is something wrong?” asks the girl she is talking to.

“You kissed me!” says Gilly “Why? What are you doing? My first- what?”

“Are you ok?” says the young succubi “I can call for a healer if you’re sick.”

Sera seems to be having a better time of it – turning and offering a cheek to be kissed and kissing cheeks in return.

Michael is...trying to hug girls without actually touching them...and is blushing so deeply you wonder if he needs a healer too. With every kiss his blush deepens.

Chesi is in her element – seems she knows many of these girls.

Thomas seems to be doing ok, grinning widely between each greeting. He must have been taught proper manners, you think.

Jenny is...flashing?

Every time a girl hugs and kisses her it seems like Jenny seems to glow a bit. She’s also moving stiffly and screwing up her eyes when the girls get near her. You go over to help.

“Are you ok?” you ask her

“Angelic magic” she says from between clenched teeth “reacting, can’t control it.”

“Give her some room” you say to the girls “she’s not well.” You lead Jenny away from the crowd and she sits on a bench and breathes deeply until the glowing stops.

“Are you ok now?” You ask

“I think so” she says “I just, too much at once I think”

“Ok” you say “let me know if it happens again”

Having lived around succubi for most of your life, you have long since learned to stop your own magic from reacting to their presence.
>>
With the formal greetings over the two groups start talking, asking about each others lives and schools and...getting along really well actually. You’re a little bit jealous of Vivi.

As you all wander around the school each of your friends, and you, are surrounded by a small group of young succubi – curious about the visitors. You keep an eye on Jenny but there’s no more glowing.

“So what’re you doing next?” asks Vivi, once you’ve toured all the classrooms “and can I bring my friends too?”

You look around, your friends seem more at ease in the company of scantily-dressed young demon-girls after spending an hour or so with them. Michael is even asking shyly if he can touch a girls wing – she agrees, with a giggle.

What are you up to next? And can Vivi bring his friends?

“I was thinking of going for a walk” you say to Vivi “show my friends the Oreian mountains, get away from the cities, fresh air and stuff.”

“I’ll grab my stuff” says Vivi “and everyone can-”

“Catch up with us later” you say

Vivi turns to look at you “Sis?”

“Just you and me and my friends” you say firmly

“Why?” asks Vivi, his eyes wide

“Because” you say “They’re doing what everyone always does when they visit – getting all flustered and stuff, if you bring your friends then that’s all mine will be doing.”

“They do seem to need some manners” says Vivi, then he adds quickly “but uh, they seem really nice other than that.”

“Thanks” you say. His friends are not better than yours, they just aren’t.
---
Its not long before you’re walking along a mountain trail, with some of Mama Sireyis guards around you. You wanted to have your Mama with you, but she had to go to Parliament...

Still, you’ve got your friends with you.

“So” you ask Sera “What do you think of Oreia?”

“It’s lovely” says Sera, looking out across the snow-covered valley to one side, “the whole place looks beautiful.”

“Yeah it does” you say, following her gaze.

“And everyone here is so” Sera’s cheeks get a little red, must be the cold air “friendly” she says after a pause.

“Yeah” adds Thomas “can we come and stay next holiday, there’s these girls Kinria, Josie and Sam, they’re triplets, and they invited me to-”

You lose track of his next words, as one of the guards ahead on the trail holds up a hand, you all stop.

There’s a traveller on the trail ahead, just one old man in a winter cloak, coming your way. Huh, that’s odd. The guards at the front stop him, and talk to him, but you’re too far away to hear what they’re saying.

“What’s going on?” asks Chesi from behind you.

“Just a traveller” you say.

“At this time of year?” asks Vivi in disbelief.

“Let’s head up” you say to Chesi, and the two of you head forwards, to where the guards are talking to the traveller.

“Oh just a peddler” he says “Looking for a place to sell my wares.”

“Where did you come from?” asks one of the guards

“A town back thataways” says the traveller, pointing behind him “I forget the name.”

“Chesi” you say quietly “what can you feel from him?”

Chesi concentrates and then her eyes open wide “nothing” she says “it’s like he doesn’t exist. What is he?”

It’s clear that the half-dozen guards questioning him don’t like what they’re sensing either.

“Just let me pass m’dears” says the nearly-toothless man, spittle flecking his long beard “I’m no one important, just a traveller, no one important.” He repeats. It sounds reasonable. He’s no one important, they should just let him pass, no one important...

“Absolutely not” says the head guard “you will stay here whilst we lift everyone past you – at a safe distance. You will not move whilst we do this.”

“Oh that’s such a shame” says the traveller “I was hoping to meet the Cassitery boy, Thomas isn’t he?”

“Step back, now!” barks the head guard, and they all point their spears at him as she continues “you will wait here until a patrol arrives to collect you.”

“No” says the traveller, grinning, his mouth full of sharp teeth “I don’t think I will.”

Then everything happens at once. The traveller grows taller and his head turns into a tigers head. At the same time tiger-like monsters with huge teeth leap from holes in the air and attack the guards.

“Get back!” yells one of the guards, grabbing you ad taking flight.

“Chesi!” you wail, as another guard grabs her, before both are slammed to the ground underneath a huge tiger monster “Chesiiiii!” you wail.

The tall tiger-man walks forwards unhindered, as his monsters battle your guards, behind you there are shouts as the rear guards fly forwards to help.
>>
The tiger-man reaches down and picks up a bleeding Chesi – her arm is clawed to the bone.

“Now give me the Cassitery boy” he tells the guards “or I’ll kill one of your young instead.”

“Chesi!” you scream, helpless in the guards grip. Then you’re dropping through the air and you hit the path, looking around you see a tiger-monster pinning the guard who was carrying you to the ground.

Everything is confusion and shouting and battle. But all you can see is the bad tiger-man, holding a screaming Chesi by her injured arm.

But you can feel bones, bones in the ground, lots of them...

The human body has way more bones that that. We'll get, like, half a skull at best.

...You do realise the roll result is not the exact number of bones?

>We'll get, like, half a skull at best.
The skull is one bone. Maybe two if you wanna be all technical about it.
>>

Actually, the human skull consists of no less than 8 bones.
>>
>>40454000
So more like a skull with most of a spine?

With 35 bones, we could get one skull and a full spine and have 1 bone left.

The bones, the bones in the ground, they call to you. For hundreds of years orcs and beastmen have shed blood on this mountains. Soldiers lie here, entire armies, heroes that are now legends...

Arcane words spill from your lips as your hands make the required gestures and screaming the last few words, you release almost all the power held within you. Protect Chesi, you think, must Protect Chesi.

[AE 2/17]

All around you the ground trembles and skeleton orcs and beastmen start rising from the ground, old rusted weapons in their hands. They throw themselves at the tiger-monsters without fear – driving them back and hacking at them.

The tiger-man focuses on you and strides towards you, a screaming Chesi swinging from his grip. You glare at him as he reaches for you with his backwards hand, you’re not afraid, because below you, there is help.

His hand stops inches from your face, his wrist gripped by in yellowed, skeletal grip.

Rising from the ground, and towering over the tiger-man is a really big skeleton with a head like a bull, and six horns jutting up towards the sky.

In its other hand the skeleton holds a massive axe, and then it speaks. You don’t know the words it uses, but thanks to ties of magical energy that flow between you, you understand what it means.

“I am Six Horns Death Of The Mountain” says the skeleton “Fight me if you dare” and with that, he swings the axe at the tiger-mans face.

The tiger-man drops Chesi and disappears in a flash of light, only to appear a dozen feet away, arcane energies blazing around his hands. Your skeleton charges at him.

“Chesi, Chesi are you ok?” you rush to her side.

“Mili” says Chesi faintly “Mili is that you?”

“It’s me Chesi” you say, cradling her head in your lap, her blood going everywhere “Chesi are you ok?”

“Sorry Mili” says Chesi “Guess I’m not going to be a palading...after...al-”

She goes limp and her eyes slowly close.

“Chesiiiiiiiiiii!” you scream.
>>
What do you do?

>I’m a palading, I can heal her! (Paladin)

I'm kinda torn here. It feels like a bit of a cop-out to not pick necromancy here, the situation consideredd, but on the other hand I really don't want zombie Chesi, or vampire Chesi or whatever.

If this doesn't work, Mili might very well give up being a Paladin, since nothing she learned that way could have helped her.

She'll just resurrect her if she dies.

She can also bring Chesi back if she dies. The only question is if Mili tries to safe her herself, and what power she instinctively trusts to do that.

Probably. A fair amount of us have been wanting a life/death aspect duality for Milerna for a while.

>>40454310
At that point, we'd just be animating the body. I think the Necromancy option here is the Deathless spell rather than making Chesi into an undead.
>>
>>40454374

Not necessarily. There are definitly necromancy ways to bring back the dead.
We'd be bringing her back as undead, but definitly not just the mind, unless we fail of course.

Due to AE/DE pools involved, Paladin was better because it had a effective modifier of 6 from the DE overcharge, vs. 5 on AE.

You reach deep within yourself, drawing upon your paladin powers, so far you’ve only used them to fight, but paladins, real paladins can heal. Your pour your divine magic into Chesi.

[DE 0/7]

Chesi twitches and her wounds close, mostly. Her eyes flutter and she looks up at you “Mili?” she says drowsily.

“Chesi!” you yell, crying and hugging her.

Suddenly you are yanked backwards and up, steel-tight bands around your throat, no, not bands, fingers.

You are bought face-to-bleeding face with the tiger-man. The entire side of his face is a red mess. The other half looks really angry.

“Kill the necromancer” it growls at you “and the dead will rest once more”.

You’re not sure, but from the shouts of the guards and roars of the tigers, you think the guards and skeletons are winning the fight around you.

The tiger-man draws back its other hand, wicked-looking claws extending from its fingers, and slashes them at your face.

They never connect.

Lightning dances all around you, connecting the sky to the ground, and running through the tiger-mans monsters – they all drop. Above you flies Mama Sireyi, and next to you...is the blue-skinned demon lady you always thought of as the Aunt Empress. Your aunt has one hand resting on the tiger-man shoulder.

“Excuse me” says Mama Sireyi mildly to the tiger-man, who seems to be unable to move “would you like to explain *why* you’re about to kill my daughter?”

“Or you can refuse to explain” says Aunt Empress “we agreed I’d get to deal with you if you wouldn’t cooperate. Please refuse to explain, please?”

---

And that’s it for Mili’s holiday adventures. Next thread is Saturday – roughly the same start time, see twitter for updates.

Thanks for playing, and I hope you had fun.

You have a shot time before this falls off to talk XP and Deific power use.

Assuming we get half-off due to all of them involving our Angel domain, it'd be 27 XP total.

At level four, the prohibited actions we have or could pick would be overwritten by Sireyi's doctrine. It'd only be a total of five restrictions, not all of them.

Being restricted like that would still be bad, even if we are more free to pick the restriction. And picking our own Doctrine for the power seems kinda questionable.

Not a big fan to be honest, don't really think we need it anyway. The only difference it would make would be even more hilariously huge overcharge, and its already ridiciously huge.

What would the Necromancy option have done?

>>40455222
I don't know what that is, but it sounds like an Exalted thing, meaning it's probably disgusting.

>>40455256
We're considering making them in order to get deific ranks of Doctrine (the DE boosting power).

>>40455227
Depends on what the restrictions wind up being. The penalty for violation is pretty tolerable outside of level 5, since all it does before that level is take away the extra power that we wouldn't have in the first place without it.

>And picking our own Doctrine for the power seems kinda questionable.
It wouldn't change what we make part of our Doctrine, at least not for me, if that's what you're worried about. Other than that, I don't see what could be questionable about it.

>The only difference it would make would be even more hilariously huge overcharge, and its already ridiciously huge.
I'm worried that not getting divine levels of divine energy soon will result in something bad happening.

I also want to see what a 30k Lightning Bolt does.

>>40454952
Oh I got it was a joke alright, and it fit in well. But realistically - who was talking about children? Just look how many 4chan posters are unironically obsessed with muh loli.

Sort of the issue.
>>
>>40455383
>>40455383
>Other than that, I don't see what could be questionable about it.
It depends on what exactly the divine energy pool for Doctrine reflects, IC. Does the deity grant us more power?
Is it greater purity of Devotion that does it?
In both cases it wouldn't really work with using our own Doctrine.
And I admit, I kinda like Sireyi being still the Paladin of Velya. Taking our Doctrine instead of hers feels like cutting ties to me.
>>
>>40455545
It's time to leave the nest, Anon.
>>
>>40455589
Not him, but that has nothing to do with leaving the nest.
Sireyi is still just a Saint of Velya.
>>
>>40455345

I second that question. I need to know.
>>
>>40455589
Velya isn't our mom, Sireyi "left the nest" when she was 12 or so and fled to Velyas church.
>>
>>40446601
Damn, we should have gone for all 5 weapons.

They would have been quite the arsenal.
>>
>>40455454
>Do we know other dieties have inflated DE pools like that?
Since calling Paladins and Priests appear to be universal powers, I'm assuming that every divinity has access to Paladin powers themselves, including Deific ranks, but I might be mistaken.

>Sort of the issue
I don't think it'll be an issue, since the most likely scenario is I'll present a number of doctrines next thread which anons will ratify, possibly not all of them, possibly making some minor alterations to some.

>>40455545
I don't really know, but it seems to just be skimming the top off our Deific Power by aligning ourselves to it more thoroughly through strictures. It works, however it does.

I'm not certain, but I think that Deific ranks indicate the power's origin changes to Sireyi anyway, so the only way to stay a Paladin of Velya in anything but name would be to purposefully deny our own power. I highly doubt she wants us to do that. Nothing says we can't stay on good terms with her even if we aren't her Paladin anyway.
>>
If Mili told Sireyi about the unfae, did she mention the goblins? And did Sireyi everything Tell Mili about her first ever job as a paladin?

I see nothing really indicating that? Its just advancements available to those with Deific Power, our sister can buy them too.
>>
>>40456027
The Doctrine changing to the Doctrine of Sireyi at Deific levels is what indicates it to me, and the whole "requires permanently reserved maximum deific power" thing.

Our sister is...weird in her relation to Sireyi, mystically speaking.
>>
>>40456118
We urgently need to buy the Purification domain power before next thread so we can heal the mutated refugees instead of having ro kill them.
>>
>>40456277
That doesn't woooo-

Actually, it might be extrapolated into that, now that I think about it.

I wrote a modification for the Life Domain powers for nothing. Goddammit.
>>
>>40456340
Doesn't ut specifically include clauses for not-undeath related perversions of life for exactly this sort of thing?
>>
>>40456425
Life to the Lifeless does, but I thought it did something that wasn't reverting to their normal state on a failed save for some reason. This is an exceptionally stupid mistake for me to make because I wrote the power in the first place and referenced it at least twenty times when writing the modification.

The modification still allows for a degree of added functionality to Life Domain's powers and lets LttL deal with non-undead Perversions of Life better, so it's probably mostly fine. I just need to make some modifications to it.
>>
You know, I want to buy Storm Domain and then buy up all that is left from Living Storm Mystic Martial Art, so that when we have formal training for priests and paladins they get to have Magical Martial Arts. That shoots lightning and shocks and stunlocks people and teleports them like Raiden.
>>
>>40456602
We have a lot to buy. A very large lot what with Angel Domain, Dragon Domain, Storm Domain, General stuff, Paladin Stuff, etc.

Unless we can get far more exp, like having gone for all 5 weapons and generally trying to cram as much life, awesome and excitement in our story arcs as possible I just don't see us buying them all up.
>>
>>40456602
I believe we already have all of Living Storm Style.

Getting Priests/Paladins with the Storm Style is already possible. An upgraded Forest and Empowering our Priests with Storms would make it easier.

>>40456688
We already have Angel Domain. Storm Domain is the next one on most people's lists as far as Domains go.

Even if we didn't have LSS, it'd only be 6 Deific power to get all five ranks from zero.

6 XP is not worth going for the two weapons likely to start wars.
>>
>>40456835
>Living Storm Style.
Isn't it currently at 4 and we have to buy lvl 5 for a outrageous XP cost?

At least that is what it states in the docs.
>>
>>40457126
Might have looked at earth style by axcident, we have all 5 level of LSS for a while now.
>>
>>40457126
Level 5 of Living Storm Style is listed as having been purchased in the rules, present in the character sheet and has the level purchased displayed as 5 with a total cost of 60 XP listed after it in the receipt. Pretty sure we've got it.

20 XP isn't that outrageous since we can get Natural styles (i.e. Air and Storm) using Angelic XP and we can get 10 Angelic XP for 1 point of Deific Power.
