They were tearing into you, not with claws and fangs, but with scalpels and needles. Sometimes taking things out, other times putting things in. They hovered over you, faces obscured by their surgical masks. One stands out, a woman. She is behind glass, in an observation room. She looks you in the eyes mouthing words you cannot hear. She continues to stare into your eyes until they take their knives to those too.You awake with a jolt, bursting from your horror ridden sleep. Again with the dreams. They've plagued you since...ever. You can't remember a time when they didn't.Trying to recall your mother -you can barely remember her face- she spoke of somthing similar, though only once. Asking again only met with silence and further prodding met with yells. And occasionally violence. You continue to lie on your bunk, content to rest until a fellow crewman informs you the captian desires your presence, immediately."You know he doesn't like waiting" he says before continuing down the corridor.>Go see what the captain wants as quickly as you can>Go see what the captian wants, but take your time>Go find a member of your squad>Look around your room>Write-in

>>40411807You sit up in your bed and get dressed in your fatigues. Taking no time to rush, you look around your tiny quarters and note that it could be a little cleaner. Bottles and paper in the corner, and the dust bunnies keeping your footlocker company. You also see trinkets of past missions. The bullet casing from the time you were shot on Eridanus, the knife you stole from the labs on Chi Ceti. It could be worse.Thinking it's time to find some of your companions, you step out into the hall only to be nearky ran over by the dozens of people going every which way. Recoiling, you crash into a man holding an enormous metal crate."Ey, watch where you going will you?" He angrily shouts. "This shit could've exploded and tore the ship a new hole in it's ass! >>40412274"It's Pierre. Pierre Bellard." You say. "Why were you carrying explosives?""It doesn't concern you. Expect to be on the captians personal shitlist, frenchie." And he conitunes down the hall. Little does he know you're already on the captain's shitlist, so you doubt anything he says will matter. Much. You still need to find out what's going on, however. You're just about to stop someone and ask when a small woman just so happens to appear in front of you, like she was summoned. Startled, you jump."You know I hate it when you do that, Mouse." You tell her."You've stated this many times." She says. "It does not matter. We are needed in hangar seven." She turns to leave. You grab her arm."Wait, what's going on? Where is everyone going?" You ask."There is to be an operation on Harmony. Everyone is going to their stations or getting ready. We need to go." She takes her arm back as you let go and starts down the hallway again.>Follow Mouse>Go to Hangar 7>Go back to your quarters>Other (Specify)

>>40412796You decide not to keep the captain waiting any longer. You know how he is even on the best of days, especially around you. You've yet to figure out why he dislikes you so much, "dislike" being a soft word.Rushing to get to the bridge, you tumble about the hallway, causing a few crewmates to trip. You're fairly sure they're cursing at you, but you can't hear him over the din in the corridor. You wonder what the operation could be. It's not even this busy during ship to ship battles. The bridge is even worse, packed nearly wall to wall with ensigns and officers. "Where's the captain? He called me up here." You ask a flight navigator. She glances at you."Near the command pedestal, barking out orders." She turns away.Thinking that's all you're going to get out of her, you make your way to the captain. It isn't easy. The crowd get denser the closer you get as impossible as that seems. Finally, you reach him."Reporting for duty, SIR!" You try to make your self as loud as possible, though it barely sounds like a whisper over all of the noise. The captain, however, does not seem to have this problem."TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH." You wince. His voice sounds a MAC cannon in atmosphere. "I WANT YOU AND YOUR SQUAD TO REPORT TO HANGAR SEVEN FOR DEPLOYMENT, NOW. WE ARE ON THE BRINK OF A CRITICAL OPERATION. YOUR SQUAD WILL BE AMONG THE FIRST TO GO. DISMISSED!" He continues to fire off orders in every direction. At least he didn't hear that you tried to blow the ship in half.>Find your squad>Go to Hangar 7>Go back to your quarters>Write-in

>>40413130Escaping from the bridge, you set out to find your squad. A few unnamed faces are in the break rooms. You search the armory, labs, training rooms, even obervation deck. You cannot seem to find them anywhere, however, and you're on the verge of giving up when Mouse appears in front of you. Again. It seems the she has your squadmate, Ricky, in tow."Mouse, I hate it when you do that." You tell her. "Hey Ricky.""Pierre, where have you been? We've looked all over the place for you." He sees the look on your face. "Well, most places we-" Mouse cuts in."We're wating for you in the hangar seven." She looks you up and down. "You need to get ready."She turns and sets of down the corridor. You look at Ricky, who shrugs."Don't worry about it much. We won't be deploying for a few hours at least.">Go to Hangar 7>Catch up to Mouse>Walk with Ricky>Walk by yourself>Other (Specify)

>>40413516 You can't do both. Sorry, I should have mentioned.
>>40413653Delaying any further would only give the Captain more reason to yell at you, which he already has enough of. You make your way to Hangar 7, which happens to be all the way at the end of the ship. It's not actually a hangar, but more like a decklab. Unsurprisingly enough, all of your squadmates are nowhere to be found. Mouse's work probably. The idea that they already knew and let you take the brunt of the captain's auditory assault is not above them. After about twenty minutes of walking, you reach the Hangar 7. Cluttered with machines, wires, parts, partially disassembled vehicles, and god knows what that thing is in the corner, it's easily the messiest place on the ship. It's also pretty much home. You take about three steps and stub your toe on a impact wrench. A slightly tinny and very annoyed voice comes out from under a pile of junk."Hey stupid, watch where you going eh? I'm trying to fix this stupid maquina." You see a pair of brown eyes peek out from under the mess."There's a machine under there, Marple?" "Si. Un mongosta." And then she goes back to work. >>40414110"What's wrong with it Marple?" You question curiously."The injectors are clogged and it's not getting enough power 'cause SOMEONE put dirty fuel into it." She looks pointedly at a wrecked scorpion. You hear sizzling noises coming out of it."Where is everyone, Marple? I only found Ricky and Mouse." You ask her."Honnes is over there by the weapons table, and Sam is over there in his scorpion eating some mierda he caught in the vents." She makes a face. "Mouse is in her little corner and Ricky is going over his equipment.""Anyone touched my project?""No, not after you threw a berrinche the last time someone went near it. Now leave, I need to fix this before we go."Knowing how she is with her work, you leave her he alone. >>40414881You look over at your Gauss Hog. Officially named the M12G1 Light Anti-Armor vehicle by the UNSC, you just call her Betsy. You stole her out of a weapons storage depot where the marines had simply left her to rot out the last of her days. Since then you've restored her to previous glory and even adding some new upgrades of your own. Unfortunately the gauss cannon only works partially, having a touchy temperament.Sometimes it even shocks you, despite having insulated the grips. You've spent the past week trying to fix it, but you can't seem to figure out the problem. >>40415314Deciding to forego other upgrades, you try to repair the cannon again. This time strip the mag-rails and clean them, remove the power governors, tighten the turret servos and re-flash the computer targeting. The whole process takes you hours, Harmony grows closer in the distance. Marple comes over to talk to you."You sure you know what you're doin' Pierre?" She asks you. "I remember the last time you tried fixing that thing you had regrow some facial hair."You sigh. "To be honest I'm not sure what's wrong with it. I've taken it all apart and put it back together again. It should operating better than it came of the factory." You get up and stand back to look. Marple cocks her head for a second and goes to play with the trigger."Hey, get off-" She interrupts you by throwing a small bolt at your face."What's this?" She grins."...get out of my warthog." You tell her. She walks away laughing."That's why I'm the squad mecánico."You glare at her, and she walks back to her mongoose.>Test fire the cannon>Go over upgrades>Go get your equipment ready>Talk to someone (Who?)>Other (specify)
