Several years ago you ended up with a rather nasty injury that left one of your legs lame and in constant pain. Like the ever-present space elevator noise, that pain was a constant in your life. Key word there being “was.” Now sporting brand-new, top of the line Fokir limbs you’ve got a new lease on life and a cautious bit of optimism.

But as they say, the devil is in the details. In getting these new limbs you’ve become fully immersed in a conflict between two major power factions in Ocrania. Both sides believe that you’re working for them, a dangerous position to be in when the penny drops. Considering your current betrayal target is a woman like Aria? You fully believe there’s going to be hell to pay. Even switching sides to work against the SCU wouldn’t be all that more safe. They’re just as well off in the influence and stopping power departments.

So for the time being you’re keeping it cool, gathering details where you can, and ultimately looking for a way out of this mess for good. Apparently you start by having a private dinner with Aria.

As we’re using a simplified Traveller system most rolls will be 2d6 versus a number (typically 8). In an attempt to allow the most people to participate in the rolls I let four people roll a single d6. The lowest two are then dropped and the remaining die added together with bonuses/modifiers (if applicable).

To be clear: Rolls DO NOT count until they are called for. And not every DC/Modifier will be shown. Choices with checks on them may not always be highlighted or obvious.

In the highly likely event that the Dice Gods are assholes you have the option of making a single roll result a 9. Most of the time this means an automatic success but it will come with a caveat of sorts in the narrative. It also can only be used every other session.

This is all very much an exercise in seeing what works and what doesn’t in a new system and a new world, so there’s bound to be times where something doesn’t add up right or needs further explanation. Just speak up and we’ll try to bridge the gap. Unless it’s about the Dice Gods - talk to Not!Moot about that.

For those of you paying attention, you now have a cybernetics mod and cybernetics tab on the sheet.

Other than that, sit back and enjoy!

“When will he be ready?”

“I think that largely depends on him, Ma’am. His body’s responding well to the artificial nerve stimulation and fusion thanks to the DNA sample you provided us ahead of time. No signs of rejection or buildup either. He’s been in and out of consciousness this last week due to the medications, but already he’s been able to stand and manipulate objects.”

“So then it’s simply a matter of completing the readjustment period then.”

“Yes. But I wouldn’t rush…”

As a doctor and a voice that unmistakably belongs to Aria converse outside of your room you glance at your new arms and legs in turn. Aside from a telltale hue and reflection at the right angle (especially around the sockets) you’d almost mistake them for the real thing. Beneath the faux skin lies a powerful series of titanium foam bones overlain by nanocarbon-weaved muscles. From what the doctors have told you the new limbs should impart a doubling in both strength and dexterity. Any more would have required a torso replacement as well.

Still, the main thing on your mind is the fact that your leg no longer ails you. When you first woke up after the surgery you almost thought that you were still dreaming. It almost was enough to make you forget why you had the limbs in the first place and what strings were attached to them. You’ve yet to find out what actually lies within the prosthetics in terms of prototype weaponry, bugs, and so forth, but you’re guessing your “benefactor” is here for that very reason.

> cont
>>
>>40393307

Sure enough, Aria enters the room after a few minutes ignoring several objections in her wake. Today she’s sporting something similar to her power suit in terms of eye-catching potential. Most prominent is the backless, deep blue dress that matches her prosthetics. From a distance she might even be mistaken as having on gloves, garters, and leggings. Her clawed legs are once again in the shape of heels, accentuating her features further. Topping it all off is Aria’s tail which slips just over the rear of the dress and tugs the eyes downwards.

Aria gives you an appraising look from the end of your bed. Then, in her typical ‘my word is law, question it at your own peril’ tone, she asks, “Are you able to come to dinner? You need proper perspective for the task ahead and staying here isn’t suddenly going to make your new limbs work any better”

Act the part of the man who knows that he's got a leash on him now, and has accepted that he belongs to his boss.
We don't have to like, just follow orders.
>>

>> [2] I’d be honored, though you may need to help me walk a bit
>>
>>40393326

You haven’t exactly been able to walk without help yet. Use a fork and get things to your mouth on your own? Yes. Walk? No. It’s understandable given the complex nature of balance, but still makes you hesitate for a moment before answering, “I’d love to. Though you may need to help me walk as I…”

Aria lets out a very subtle sigh before moving to the side of your bed. Once there she offers out one of her arms. “We do have a schedule to keep, and I’d rather not carry you like a child. Please see to it you’re putting forth your best effort.”

Stone cold much? Still, with her aid you’re able to get out of bed and into the hallway much quicker and without as much hassle as when the orderlies helped you in the past. You take note of the fact that Aria’s using her tail as a counterbalance for you as the pair of you proceed into an elevator. Your guess? Between that and her own experience with cyberization (whatever that is) is why you’re having an easier time of it.

Once the doors close, Aria remarks, “You’re holding rather tightly. People have died for less that, you know.”

Immediately you loosen your grip and begin to say, “Sorry, I…”

Then Aria laughs. You’re pretty sure it’s the first time you’ve heard her do so genuinely. It’s not unpleasant, but it definitely has a sadistic edge to it. “Oh by all means, continue to do so if it means you won’t slow us down.”

Well with that bit of motivation you’re ready to try walking on your own. Tentatively you remove your arm from the crook of Aria’s. She watches you with a sort of withdrawn interest as you carefully take several steps about the enclosed space of the elevator. You’re very wobbly at first but you quickly manage a sort of hobble that should let you keep up with Aria’s stride.

“As I said, the bed was doing you no good,” comments Aria. You might be imagining it but you almost swear the corner of her mouth twitched for a moment. “Not that we truly have that far to go.”

Before you can ask what she means the doors open. Instead of the low cost clinic in the lower district you were expecting you see the lobby of what must be Fokir HQ. There’s a very large serpent symbol inset into the marble floor, of which could easily accommodate half a football stadium. The hustle and bustle of Fokir employees stop as they catch sight of you and Aria. They part readily and give you both clear passage to the doors and a convoy of black SUVs outside.

So concentrated are you on not falling on your face in public that you don’t get around to asking why you were moved for the time being. And even once you and Aria have ensconced in the back seat of the middle vehicle she beats you to the punch.

“Tell me, Mr. Weldon, what do you think of your new limbs? Do they suit you?”

“Still getting to know them, but so far the lack of pain and full range of motion is marvelous.”

A very faint smile meets your reply. “Then, as it always has, Fokir has come through for you when others would, or could, not. You may be apprehensive towards me personally after the display with your former co-workers but I wish to impress upon you how vital your work is. Not just for me but for all of Ocrania. Perhaps even Meridian.”

“That’s a… rather tall order,” you manage back.

“Which is why a visual demonstration will be necessary before dinner proper. As I said, we have a schedule to keep.”

After that she falls silent as stares ahead off into the distance, as if waiting for a certain amount of time to elapse. You’d look out a window yourself but they’re currently tinted opaque.

After a few minutes of silence you decide that you might as well use this time productively and see how your fine motor skills are progressing.

“Got a pen?” you ask.

Aria reaches over to a purse that had been waiting for in the SUV. Out of it she pulls a rather elegant black and blue fountain pen along with a notepad emblazoned with Fokir’s logo. Both items are handed over without a word.

“Thanks,” you mutter as you try to figure out the pen. You’ve never used a writing utensil this fancy before so you’re almost afraid of breaking it. But once you start writing you realize that it’s far simpler than you would have expected. Plus it seems your control over your new wrist and fingers has come along tremendously since a few days ago. You’re no artist, yet you are able to sketch out a few semi-complex symbols and a bit of lettering.

“Planning on taking notes?” Aria asks nonchalantly.

“I suppose that depends on the content of your demonstration,” you reply.

She shrugs, glancing over at the void that is her own window. “You’ll see soon enough.”

You’re not able to get anything more out of her until you feel the vehicle come to a stop. Then Aria’s window shimmers and becomes translucent. Outside is one of the scummier and rundown bits of the lower district, filled with the type of homeless and downtrodden veterans that truly could go missing without notice. In particular, it seems you’ve pulled up across from a quintet of such folk crowded around a flaming barrel in stereotypical fashion.

“Tell me, Mr. Weldon, what do you see?”

Oh, I get it. Dragon is trying to upend the system and thinks that the rules/laws are bullshit, only meant to continue the cycle of oppression and unfairness rampant in civilization. But she's kind of a zealot. Spider is the product and scion of such a system and seeks to uphold it, despite some of its glaring flaws. She's chill tho'.

Given the context you’ve been given thus far, you hazard a guess. “People that Fokir are trying to help?”

Aria nods. “Indeed. Though it is madness to think you can save everyone there is no harm in working towards a better world. What Fokir represents is an opportunity for people like this, people who, almost like you, have no real chance at advancement short of a miracle. They are trapped, Mr. Weldon, trapped by the very nature of society around us. As we all are.”

As you try to formulate a reply you see that several of Aria’s suited goons have left their own vehicles and begun approaching the group. There’s an unheard verbal exchange, followed by three of the downtrodden men walking off. The remaining two are escorted back to the convoy and placed into the back SUV.

“What was that all about?” you inquire.

Aria’s window once again turns pitch black as she turns to face you. Somehow she’s managed to find an even more serious expression than her usual. “I do not dine out often. When I do I make it a point to find individuals such as them.”

“Why?”

“Because, Mr. Weldon, I would much rather have a restaurant filled with those who really need the meal than the sort of high class brats who could hardly appreciate what’s on the plate in front of them. Though those two in particular will not be joining us in the main dining room this evening. That pleasure will be reserved solely for you and I. After they’ve been fed they will be taken to one of my low cost clinics and given a no-strings-attached ‘upgrade’ to get them back on their feet.”

All are Halcom.

Remember, we still aren't dedicated to one side or the other, in fact we're being paid unofficially by both. Personally though, I would like us to at least fake cathys death as opposed to actually killing her, seeing she views switching bodies as switching shoes, that shouldn't be too hard, just have the techie remote operate her body with cathy directing actions if not directly controlling. We want cathy to act herself, and we want her to ""die"" in a manner she'd actually realistically fall into. Afterwards she just needs to lay low for a while and she SHOULD be fine, she'll also be out of the picture as far as Aria knows. Honestly, convincing her to take a ""paid leave"" would probably be best anyway, if we don't kill her someone else actually will.

You weigh your options on how to approach this, finally deciding on the tried and true method of letting others talk about themselves. “So what opened your eyes to this, to them? It strikes me as odd to come across such a patron of society in this day and age.”

Aria grins knowingly. “What you’re really wondering is, ‘what makes you different from the rest of them?’ It’s a relatively simple tale, though it is long. Hence why I thought it best to arrange dinner during the course of it. Anyways…”

She shifts, crossing one leg over the other as her tail comes to rest in her lap. “I suppose it begins with how my family came to be involved with Fokir. We are relatively new in the grand scheme of things. It started with my father’s father, who worked as a technician in one of the labs. Over time he contributed to several very popular product lines and ended up rising in the ranks. By the time I came into picture we, the Mizuno’s, were only just getting used to the idea of having wealth.”

“So you came from relatively nothing, thus granting you a unique perspective,” you reason out.

“Perhaps. But in general I have always been interested in how society functioned. Why is is that Meridian’s upper half is completely segregated from its lower? Some may say that it’s the logical outcome of the free market, but I believe it’s more a result of human nature than anything else. Capitalism is simply a conduit. Those in power want to keep it, even if it means stepping on their fellow man in the process.”

After a pause for breath she continues, “As it stands today, most of Meridian’s, nay, humanity’s, focus is concentrated on the stars. In the process we’ve forgotten those left behind on the little rock we call home, replacing them with mechanical automatons and heavily restricting any class advancement. Effectively this traps all but the ‘chosen few’ on this decaying ball while the ‘best and brightest’ go off to secure humanity’s future. Though I may be only a single CEO of a single Cybernetics company I cannot stand to see us continue down this path.”

You figure it’s probably about time for you to push back a little and see just how far Aria will let you get. “Your goal and intentions seem noble enough, but your methods are… odd. For one it doesn’t explain why you slaughtered my former co-workers, nor why you took such extreme interest in me.”

Aria simply smiles as you once again feel the convoy roll to a stop. This time her door is opened by one her underlings. “We’ve arrived, Mistress.”

“I’ll answer you after we’ve ordered, Mr. Weldon,” Aria says as she swings her legs out of the vehicle. “But I will say this much now: I was beginning to wonder where that bit of paranoia and caution went.”

“I simply thought it best to judge the situation and not question the woman who gave me a new lease on life too much,” you reply as you follow her out. It seems that you’re back in the high district, outside what you’re guessing is an exclusive VIP restaurant by the number of suits at the entrance of the building.

“You would do well to remember that fact, though I do encourage free thinking. A mindless lackey is not what I require.”

With that she leads the way inside. After a brief elevator ride the two of you are greeted by a host in a tuxedo standing behind a very opulent podium. From what you can see of the restaurant itself it’s completely vacant. It overlooks the largest of the space elevators from the opposite side of the SCU building, Ocrania itself lit up like jewels beyond the windows.

“Ah Miss Mizuno. We are pleased that you once again have chosen us for your evening. Please, right this way…”

The host leads you two to a table near the window. After pulling out your chairs for the both of you and setting down your menus and utensils he looks expectantly at Aria.

On thinking back to the pizza you were denied weeks ago, your stomach makes up your mind for you.

“Only if I get to choose the toppings,” you propose.

That earns you another genuine smile. She waves her hand about in an “after you” gesture, prompting you to order. After you’ve done so she casually mentions, “And bring the ‘42. I think that will go well with the toppings Mr. Weldon’s selected.”

“Of course, Ma’dam.”

After the host bows and leaves you two alone for a moment, Aria gestures at the scenery. “Beautiful, is it not? There are some on Meridian who would literally kill for this view. A jewel should be appreciated by all, not locked away, don’t you think?”

“Isn’t that what the internet’s for?” you propose. “One could easily find pictures or a stream.”

The host returns then with a very old bottle of wine and two glasses in hand. He sets them out, pours a generous amount for the pair of you, then leaves.

“Ah, but experiencing something in-person is far more impactful. Especially for those of us of the more mechanical persuasion. But I digress…”

Aria picks up her own glass and swirls it around, savoring the aroma. “To answer your first inquiry, your co-worker had been given an opportunity. One similar in nature to yours in that he was given a prosthetic in exchange for a service. A service which he failed to provide, and in the process tested the limits of both my patience and benevolence. In the end, an example had to be made.”

You suppress a grimace at the memory of seeing all your colleagues downed in what seemed like cold blood. “Did everyone else in that bar really have to die? I could have just as easily been there myself. While I understand examples have to be made now and again, the collateral in this case seemed… excessive.”

Another new emotion crosses Aria’s face. This time it’s sorrow, perhaps regret. “What you may be missing from whatever you know about what happened is the fact that Mr. Maxwell attempted to use your co-workers as hostages. Things escalated from there, leading to a needless loss of life.”

Her story doesn’t quite add up from the footage you saw during the time with the SCU, but elements of it do fit. Maxwell did seem to be using your co-workers as shields during most of the gunfight, however short it was. And more than one stray bullet is what probably got most of the bystanders. Still…

“You’ll forgive me if I don’t see how that connects the two of us,” you reply. “By all accounts, including mine, Maxwell and I barely knew each other. I had no knowledge of you beforehand, and I had nothing to offer you. Yet here we are, about to have pizza in what’s probably one of the most exclusive places in the city.”

“We’d be having wine too if you’d try some,” lightly jabs Aria. She waits for you to finally pick up your own glass before clinking it with her own and sipping at it. “Ah… a good choice, the ‘42. Just enough flavor with a hint of earthen aftertaste…”

She stares fondly at the liquid for a moment, then shakes her head. “Two things make you invaluable to me at the moment, Mr. Weldon. One: You were able to to disappear. Not for long, mind you, but enough that in this day and age shouldn’t be possible. While your program checked out I’ve had a hard time fully duplicating the results of it. Perhaps you got lucky. Perhaps it was skill. In either case, that’s something that interests me.”

“Perhaps it’s both?”

After setting her glass down with a smile. she continues, “Two: No one in the SCU would dream that I’d extend such an offer to you after what they probably flavor as a ‘needless slaughtering of your co-workers.’ While the connection to Fokir, and thus to me, is unavoidable, they’ll be too far concerned with trying to find hidden motives and bugs that aren’t there to see the bigger picture.”

> cont
>>
>>40397032

You hold up a hand after tasting your own wine. You’re pretty sure that single sip cost more than the entirety of what you’ve made up to this point. Regardless, you need to have her explain the SCU to you instead of going off of your first hand knowledge. “Back up a bit, this SCU, you’ve mentioned it a few times. What is it exactly? How are they involved?”

Aria’s expression darkness at that, her tone turning bitter. “The Special Cyborg Unit, a specialized group in the Ocrania PD that doesn’t officially exist on paper. They are why the city block around that bar ended up being leveled. More specifically, their tank killer unit. She’s also the daughter of a rival corporation that gets its kickbacks by deliberately provoking conflicts between the AU and the SR. They deliberately develop technologies that empower the upper class to repress the lower, furthering the class divide. The most prominent and relevant example of such being the fact they provide 99.9% of the cybernetics in the SCU’s employ.”

If we take the fact this is rather shadowrun-themed into account they're both probably at fault. We just have to pick the side we like the best and offers us the best toys. That or we carry on playing them both until a mythical third option (and waifu) appears.
>>
>>40397052
> [2] What is the bigger picture here? And for that matter, what do you mean by ‘such an offer?’
>>
I think the majority lies with [2] atm, so let's go with that. Back in a bit...
>>
>>40397128
We could always play both sides and have a threesome with spidergirl and dragon girl, showing them the supremacy of 100% organic D

Joke aside, we should probably go with the side we like, if we really wanted to be independent we should have gone biomod(no maintenance required), but at this point there is no hard "right" or "wrong" side.
>>
>>40397052

Now you’re getting somewhere. There’s always two sides to every story, with the truth being somewhere in the middle. Which, unfortunately, is where you are at the moment. “What exactly is the bigger picture here? How does it involve the SCU? And for that matter, what did you mean by ‘such an offer?’”

A sadistic grin of pleasure crosses her face. “Perhaps three things. In any case, let me start with the offer.” She lays her hands out before her on the table, intertwining her fingers. “I want you to do much what the SCU is doing to me. I want you to find evidence that they’re deliberately skirting the law to achieve their means, or that Raziel is the one pulling the strings. Or, failing that, I want you to put pressure on whatever weak points they may have. Ideally in that process you’d deal with their tank killer, in a ‘two birds with one stone’ type deal.”

You mirror her pose, leaning in. “And in return I get to keep my new limbs, that about right?”

Aria nods. “Yes but not entirely. I want you to be doing this of your own free will, not because of some threat that you’ll lose your newfound lease on life or heaven forbid the feeling of a gun to your head. Don’t think I didn’t notice your stunt back at the pizzeria. I know how ready you are to mistrust me. So I shall give you this.”

She reaches into her purse to remove a dataslate. It’s slid across the table to you where you can see on it the full technical details and schematics of the prosthetics you now have.

> cont
>>
>>40397438

“Take that to any cybernetics manufacturer you like, even Raziel. They’ll be able to confirm between that and deep scans that you’re bug-free. There are no listening devices, location beacons, and so on on your person. The only thing keeping you here with me right now is what I hope to be good and interesting company.”

>>

It's a bit too early for that.
It also brings up the question of how we would know a certain tank killer from the SCU when we clearly are just about to be thrust into it by our date's contacts.
>>

>>
>>40397457

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out Aria’s fishing to see if you’re at all captivated by her. On some level perhaps you are, but you have to play your part properly for the time being.

“Well I might be more inclined to stay after pizza if you brighten up a little,” you reply back with a wink.

The weight of your words takes a moment to settle in. When it does Aria’s features lighten considerably. “You must forgive me. The SCU, and more specifically Coretha, has been thorn in my side for a very long time now. I’ve grown weary over the years as a result.”

“Don’t worry about it. Still, this,” you pat the dataslate. “Is a lot of trust to put in me. I’d hazard a guess why but I enjoy living.”

“Hm. You catch on quickly,” teases Aria. “And just in time for our meal to arrive.”

Sure enough the host is back with a rather impressive pizza in hand. The aroma alone causes your mouth to water. When it’s set off the side of you two on the table you decide then that this has to be the best pizza on Meridian. Even without tasting it. But when you do it just confirms your feelings.

As for Aria, she nibbles at a slice of her own. Between bites, she muses, “In regards to the bigger picture, I’m afraid that’s for me to know and you to figure out one day. Much more fun that way, don’t you think? Needless to say that having the SCU out of the way is important for my vision of the future.”

> cont
>>
>>40397906

“I suppose that will have to sate my curiosity for now,” you say as you dab at your face with a napkin. Having eaten nothing but hospital food for weeks you’re famished. You’ve already gone through almost half of the pie on your own.

“Wonderful. But there’s just one problem.”

You raise an eyebrow, “Oh?”

A certain smug grin returns. “You and I both know it really doesn’t.”

“True. But it’s not like I can hear your life story over an entire pizza.”

She thinks on that for a moment, replying, “A single question. Whatever you wish.”

Openings like that don’t come often, and if not handled carefully they reveal more about you than about the person answering. So you play it safe for now. “You know I suppose I’m curious why you have reptilian-themed prosthetics. There’s not a whole lot of people running around out there with tails like yours.”

You didn’t think her grin could get any more smug. But there it is. “Drawn to my tail are you? A man of eclectic tastes, I see.”

You play it cool by shrugging and taking a sip of wine. It’s enough for Aria to carry on with, “I suspect you’re thinking that it has something to do with Fokir and our logo. Really, I just happen to like the functionality a tail provides. The scaling and other features are simply my vanity coming into play. If I must be armored in this day and age, I might as well look good in it.”

“And what about when you got them in the first place?”

She wags a finger at you. “Ah ah, that’s two questions~”

You sigh, much to her amusement.

“Still, I shall answer. My father wanted to leave me something of a legacy outside of the company. He personally devoted an entire research wing to developing a full body prosthetic that would be able to go without maintenance, even in the worst of circumstances. In the end the project developed a single prototype, capable of self-repair and a myriad of other reptilian-themed features. But it was far too costly to put into production as a single unit. Parts were farmed off into other products, leaving me with the only full set.”

It’s eerie how related Aria and Cathy’s circumstances are, for better or for worse. They’ve each dealt with their lot in life a different way, yet one thing remains common: they’re both full cyborgs. Which means…

“So, how do you tell the difference between what’s real and what’s fake? Do you have someone who gives you the truth, no matter how bad? Or do you just let people tell you what to hear?”

Aria seriously considers the question. Her forehead wrinkles a little in thought before she replies, “Like every major company these days, we do keep several non-cyborgs on the payroll to make sure we’re not being duped by our competitors. They range from your average ‘Yes-man’ to the squeaky wheel. But me personally? I simply keep my brain on autistic mode unless absolutely necessary. The only person I allow to connect with me then is my personal assistant.”

She lightens a little, raising an eyebrow coyly, “Why? Are you making me an offer?”

So she keeps her brain from connecting to the external world at all unless it’s through her aide. Which means directly altering Aria’s perception of the world is (you imagine) prohibitively difficult.

“You two must be extremely close to trust her like that,” you remark. “And I don’t know. Perhaps I was just curious.”

Maybe you came across a little too strong there. Or maybe the conversation was always headed in this direction and you were just along for the ride. Whatever the case, you suddenly find a certain tail brushing against your leg. “You don’t have any competition, if that’s what you’re asking.”

Well you’ve had a nice life. No regrets save the one about your leg. Actually technically that’s why you’re here in this situation to begin with. So maybe just the one regret then. Still a nice life on the whole.

With a small sigh and last sip of your wine you reply, “Why do I get the distinct feeling there’s been more to our schedule since the very beginning?”

If smug was a currency Aria could probably bankrupt the world with it. “Your intuition is right on the money, but it could do with some strengthening in the expediency department. I’ll try not to hold it against you though.”

Welp. There’s only one way out of this that you can see that doesn’t involving pissing off your (fake?) boss on either side. You just have to phrase it properly so as not to offend or deny/confirm Aria’s advances. Enough to give you said option of escape should you choose to take it.

“Surely you could do better,” you state matter-of-factly. “As evidenced by the fact I had to cling to you earlier.”

She almost looks disappointed. “Are you turning me down, Mr. Weldon?”

“Not at all. I simply wonder if you wouldn’t get more for your trouble by waiting for me to be at 100%.”

Yep. There it is. That look of indecision that you’re quite sure hasn’t been present on Aria’s face in… possibly forever. “I suppose you do have a point. And I would hate to cause you further recovery time at this point. Especially since you’re due to meet with my contact to begin the SCU onboarding process in a few days. But then again… it HAS been awhile…”

Also it would be OOC to bang !dragon especially since we're coherent, not drunk, and not a 100% trust off the bat kind of guy.

Dragonlady sex.
>>
>>40399647
Yeah, I don't see why it'd be IC to get the person we're supposed to be backstabbing into one of the most vulnerable situations possible. Definitely wouldn't want to get into her bedchambers and snoop around or anything!

“All the more reason to wait then, don’t you think?”

Aria bites her lip, visibly struggling to make a decision. Then she relaxes all at once. “Fine. But don’t think you’re off the hook. If anything I will be expecting more from you later.”

Welp. “Noted. It’s probably better that I at least have control over my legs better than a paraplegic for what you have in mind anyways. That sort of thing is definitely a mood killer.”

“Oh I don’t know. Humor is the bedroom is what makes it all the more intimate, don’t you think?” She lets that hang for a moment, then adds, “But yes, you’re right. We’ll have to have ‘dessert’ another time.”

WELP. “So what now then?” you ask.

She leans back in her chair, finally withdrawing her tail from your leg. “Now I think it’s best to send you on to your new apartment before I change my mind. You’ll find all of your things have been moved up from your old apartment and that new ones are waiting for you. I can’t believe you didn’t have a single suit to your name.”

You shrug, also relaxing after the tense moment. “Never needed one before. Though I guess between you and the SCU work I’ll need it.”

“Please. I hardly care how you’re seen with me in public. Why do you think I first met you in a pizzeria of all things?”

“Fair point.”

After a couple moments of silence she makes to stand. When you’ve fallen suit, she leads you out past the host at his podium. A very humbled, “May you visit us again in the future, Mistress,” follows in your wake. An elevator ride later sees the pair of you back at the SUV convoy.

“The lead vehicle there will take you to your new place,” Aria motions at the front of the procession. “Instructions on how to get in contact with me in an emergency are already waiting for you there. Otherwise, I’ll be in touch.”

Guys, how the fuck are we going to explain this to Cathy? Like sure, we didn't do it, but at the same time it's going to make her uber jealous. And I don't think we can afford a tank killer level of pelvic love.

We should have gone for the full body thing. Maybe then we'd have a chance at living.
>>
>>40399922
Full body thing would have avoided this mess in the first place since we'd have ghosted.
>>
>>40399922
Mariet is better anyway
>>
>>40399922
We wooed her to loosen her lips. That's how I see it. I never considered going all the way, but I voted for being suave where possible.

Besides, making her a little jealous doesn't really hurt. Except maybe our pelvis a little later but that's okay. Sort of.

Damn bloody straight we're gonna end this classily now for even more mind numbing !dragonlady sex later anon.

> [1] Thanks again for dinner and “stuff”
>>
>>40399985
No, no, I'm saying we wooed ARIA just to get more information out of her. Cathy is the only girl to go for here, Miss "Collateral Damage" can find herself another guy to twist and control.
>>
>>40399829

What you’re about to do is tantamount to blue ovarying but it has to be done. Both for the sake of future you and whatever game you’re playing for whichever side at this point. All you can hope is that you stick the exit.

In reply to Aria, you quickly dart in and plant a peck on her cheek. When you withdraw you hold her stare for a full 2 seconds before turning and walking away. For the longest time you feel her drilling into your back with those glowing blue eyes, then the weight falls off as you reach your ride. Just as you get into the back, you barely hear her say to a goon, “Get the gym ready. NOW.”

After you’re inside proper the car takes off without any ceremony. Like in Aria’s vehicle, the driver’s section is cut off by a wall. As such it’s just you alone with your thoughts for what you guess to be 15 minutes. It’s then that the car comes to a stop and the door opens to a street in the high district.

“Thanks,” you say to the man holding it for you. He nods and hands you a key.

“Plaza Suites, Room 3A. Any other questions you have should be covered inside.”

You again thank him and proceed to go find your new place. It’s located in a high-rise just a block over from where you were dropped off, not accessible from the main road. The suite in particular is about halfway up the towering building. Part of a series of four, it seems you have three other potential neighbors on your floor. None of which (if they exist) greet you as you enter.
>>
Whats going on I just got here, Goddamn. Now were seducing the dragon too?
...I feel paranoid that shes just playing us.
>>
>>40400195

Inside the suite itself is a rather lavish arrangement. It’s easily the size of Cathy’s place, minus the sizing differences needed to accommodate an U-Oni class body. The fact you have your own walk in closet now, filled to the brim with actually presentable clothes, is tremendous. The view out of your bedroom could be better though - you’re stuck overlooking an alleyway.

In sweeping the place you don’t find any obvious bugs or anything that seems out of place. Aside from Aria’s gifts you only find a simple number scrawled on a Fokir sticky note stuck to the fridge (which happens to be fully stocked, like the minibar).

> [1] Have a cold… something. You need it.
> [2] Shower, then go for a walk to clear your head
> [3] Actual sleep sounds great right about now
> [4] Try and leave a message for the SCU somehow
> [5] Write in
>>
>>40400200
No anon, we just played her. Getting her all hot and bothered while getting away pelvis intact.

And it's beautiful.

what if we were both playing each other? the shadow runs intesify

also "Get the Gym ready. NOW." This makes no sense to me so i'm assuming sex related.

Punch something to work off sexual frustration.
>>
>>40400241

She's frustrated anon. All that energy has to go somewhere.
>>
>>40400241
She wants to exercise the hot and bothered away.
>>
>>40400206
>[2] Shower, then go for a walk to clear your head
>>
People exercise arousal away? huh? learn something new every day
>>
So why did only 2 of the 5 homeless people get to go to the restaurant?
>>
>>40400283

Probably didn't believe what they were being told. That or it was a limited quantity offer.
>>
>>40400206

A quick shower and change of clothes later sees you back out onto the streets. Even though you now have a place worth staying in at old habits are hard to break. You do your best thinking on your feet anyways. So you wander the local area without purpose, mostly just trying to sort everything out.

You’re stuck between two sides and two women. Both have their merits and their downsides. Both are equally dangerous. Both are likely using you to an end. It’s every lancer’s nightmare and dream at the same time.

Whatever you decide upon, you have a few days in which to do so. But once you’re back in with the SCU you’ll need to settle on a course of action. You won’t be able to play both sides for long and get away with it. Such is the perils of being a double/triple agent.

Iggy, you have intentionally set up the greatest waifu bomb, I have ever seen. I salute you good sir
>>
So that was a thing. As has been said numerous times, [Shadowruns Intensify]. You'll be entering route-lock territory here shortly so you might want to think about where to go in terms of who to work for and who to waifu. As you've seen, some involved are a little more aggressive than others.

Next session either lazy Sunday sometime or Tuesday evening.

We catch Aria Masturbating with Great Fury when?
jokes aside, this is really early for a route lock isnt it?
>>
>>40400394
Honestly, I really want to waifu Aria but stay with SCU, ending with Aria in prison but loving us too much to hate us for putting her in there. And we visit her regularly.

>>
>>40400394
Still, we blue balled a hot !dragon lady and got away intact.

We can be proud of this victory at least.
>>
>>40400447
SCU helps maintains the status quo though, we need the SCU completely out of the picture or at least puppeted by Fokir if we want to try to make things better for the lower class.
>>
>>40400447

Can we brag about blueballing Aria at SCU?
Cath would either be amused or horrified.

Personally I prefer Cath.
If I ever met a woman as aggressive(?) Aria, I would probably be putty in her hands, and that terrifies me
>>
>>40400436

In the grand scheme of things maybe. But if I've found you want to have a game plan solidly in mind after a certain point. I've seen talk on both sides, but eventually I'll have to call a vote on the issue. You can still get, say, ten threads into working for one side and find something that shatters your core, but those ten threads still need a direction.
>>
>>40400499
Far easier to bully Cathy than aria.
>>
>>40400495
I'm not buying completely into either side just yet. We need to do some independent research.
>>
>>40400436
At this point it's pretty much up in the air, but the "free cyborg mods for homeless" screams "secretly building an army" to me.
>>
>>40400499
No anon, resist. Shadowrun harder, if only for equal terms sexual intercourse.
>>
>>40400526
I for one, would like to he at the head of one such army of space colonists

If the Aria company route delivers, of course.
>>
>>40400514
Yeah. I'd like to see if the SCU are actually good guys or paramilitary deathsquad thugs, and whether or not Aria is really helping the downtrodden or using them for freaky genome splicing experiments. Maybe we can get Mariet to give us access to their activities and ops somehow? This is shadowrun. You can't take anything at fave value.
>>
>>40400512
I'm not sure how bullying comes into this

Yes, I am a dense motherfucker. I try not to be.

>>40400527
Shadowrun as in, the small radio transmitter/reciever that all cyborgs apparently need being implanted into our arms so that we can be surreptitiously hacked and she can track our wrist and finger movements if we write or type? Yes, I am that paranoid. and yes I am the same guy.
>>
>>40400554
Nah, we can't even trust Mariet for this. She's in too deep.
>>
Character sheet, "Pelvis intact:Yes" Iggy you cheeky bug.
>>
>>40400598
I dont think it matters who, Aria or Cathy, we'll need to visit the hospital.
>>
>>40400555
You forgot fap.

Actually just the part where you tease her via enough blue ovary-ing in order to not be dominated throughout the whole sexual intercourse/relationship. It's more of setting the both on you on more or less equal footing rather than you just following her orders around.
>>
Just to clarify, we don't have any internal weapons included in our augs?
>>
>>40400612
Oh, so it was tease sexually? not bully?

I interpret the two very differently. I'm sorry for being confused and/or autistic
>>
>>40400552
It's pretty classic. Give people who have nothing at all and nowhere to go power and a place to belong and it'll get you fantastic loyalty.
>>
>>40400612
Fap, with our super strong robot arms, that we stil cant use properly. YIKES
>>
>>40400637
Bullying won't get you anything but scorn though.
>>
>>40400651
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb627xDlqBs
Note that I do not enjoy, promote, or care about the show, it was just relevant.
>>
>>40400668
That's what I mean by interpret differently, Bully is an entirely negative term to me, teasing on the other hand can be enjoyable to everyone involved when done properly.
>>
>>40400651
>try to fap with new robot arms.
>fail miserably(?)
>suddenly your arms move on their own.
>Aria's/Cath's voice comes through comms.
>"Let me show how it's done anon."
