You are SAMANTHA SMITH, a tubby teen, with a penchant for playing to many RPGs, who had gone to fat camp to turn her life around. After a rather ordinary bus ride, the initiation ceremony at fat camp, and settling into your cabin, you started on a walk along the jogging path which you were enjoying thoroughly. At least, you were up until a rather brief but fatal encounter with gravity, and a boulder, ended your short existence on planet earth.

You now find yourself nestled under the wing of a half-bird/half-woman, who is coddling you like you are her baby. And with the fact that your naked form just emerged from a rather decent sized milky white egg and into a large nest filled with straw, sticks, and down, you may be inclined to believe after all. Your mother holds you tight to her embracing your small form as you dry off, your slick wet puffy baby feathers starting to fluffy up. You snuggle into her side and enjoy the warm comfort her wings provide, as a calming breeze blows overhead.

>>
>>40347604
The leaves on the tree around you rustle as you snuggle into the soft under feathers of the giant holding you tight to her. There is a crinkle of the nest floor, as you shift your feet in the straw to move to press into her body, rubbing your face against the long white feathers of her wings, nestling into their all overpowering softness. She is warm, like a space heater blanket, except feathers, instead of that soft synthetic material made in China. The forest around you is quiet, occasionally you hear movement from the forest floor below but you know that this woman, your mother, loves you with all her heart.

“Oh my, aren’t you just a little bundle of love.” Your mother coos softly as you press into her. As she does so, she shifts slightly to position you better against her body.
You bask in the moment, ignoring the recent memories of falling to your early demise, ignoring the thoughts of grief and wonder and panic that clouded your mind in the egg.

You take the moment to examine yourself, the feathers on your wings and lower body have puffed up and you find yourself covered in a fluffy white down that you would expect to see on a baby chick. You examine your body more, realize that you are the size of a toddler, your tanned skin is similar to that of your mother, in the place of your arms are two down covered white wings, and your legs bend backwards before coming to form talons. Your body is chubby with baby fat and, well, even with this you are significantly more in shape than you were as a human.

>>40348620
“Twitt~ Twitt~” you hear a noise from behind your mother who turns to look over her other wing.

“Oh, I didn’t forget about you, shush now and come see your sister.” Your mother says in her hushed tone. She lifts her other wing revealing another baby, she looks, well, exactly like you do. A chubby baby harpy staring up at her mother with soft fluffy wings, she toddles over on wobbily legs and bumps into mom’s body. Her gaze shifts to you and her eyes seem to look at you with confusion, like a bird seeing its reflection in the mirror for the first time.

Your sister approaches you and you both stare at each other, you have the initiative.

You decide that your best bet is to try and communicate with your sibling, after all you never had a sister before when you were human, being an only child and all. You decide to start it off easy and attempt to use a signal any human would understand, even a baby, a friendly wave. As you go to do so you come across one slight problem. You don’t have hands anymore, and your arm is a wing, so the attempted gesture instead comes off as a chubby little baby harpy attempting to flap her wings for the first time. This gets another look of curiosity out of your sister, who starts to waddle closer to you inquisitively.

Shit, that didn’t work out. Perhaps there is another way for you to communicate. Oh wait, talking, that’s a thing people do, you can communicate that way. You open your mouth to say hello to your sister,
“Twit~ Twit~ Chirp~ Twit~ Twii~” is what comes out. Oh no… that’s not right. Your twin approaches at her methodical pace towards you.

You look up at your mother with desperation, how are you supposed to communicate to your sister if your voice doesn’t work? The larger female harpy looks down at her two babies with anticipation and a loving smile apparently waiting for the oncoming collision.
“Twit~ Cheep~ Twitt~!” you chirp up at her the moment before your sister is upon you.

Your two soft pudgy bodies collide and you are left sprawling on the floor of the nest! Your sister has her soft fluffy wings wrapped tight around your body in a hug, as your mother looks down with a face that says, this is the most adorable thing I have ever seen. But you know what’s really going on here, your older twin has pinned you to the feathers and straw of the nest floor. Thus establishing herself as the dominant of the two twins. You are forever doomed to the life of the “little sister”!

What do you do now?
>Flip her over and pin her, you won’t give up that easily! (Roll 1d100)

Nah, best of three is better. Besides, 88 and 79 were both good rolls. With a 100, we might have thrown her out of the nest, with her landing on a boulder with her head.

>>40349982
Remember Questers, a 100 doesn't result in a best of all worlds outcome, merely an extremely unexpected success.

Your sister holds you in her wings, pressing her face up against yours and rubbing back and forth. To the untrained eye this would be an adorable moment of affection between two young baby siblings, but you won’t be fooled!
Your eyes flare with the burning passion of every younger twin forced into the role of being the “little brother/sister despite being a few minutes late”. You shall not be defeated in this arena to establish what will no doubt go down in history as the deciding factor for which twin is the superior one! You struggle against your sister who keeps you pinned to the soft nest floor with her fluffy vice grip.

“Chir~?” she coos in confusion, as you begin rocking back and forth in an attempt to flip her to be the one on the bottom.

“Chirp! Chee~!” she cries out to mother as you wrap your wings tightly around her midsection, using the momentum you got from rocking back and forth to flip her so that way she is the one pressed on her back. She must be accepting of her fate as she doesn’t even struggle as you press her to the soft floor of the family nest. Now positioned on top, you have done it! You have become the dominant twin!

With an excited “Chip~ Chirp~Tweet~.” You celebrate your victory over your sister who still hasn’t let go of you with her downy wings.

“D’awww, you’re bonding already.” Your mother coos out at the sight of your complete and total ownage of your twin sister. She wraps her wings around the two of you at which your sister releases her grip as the two of you are cradled in your mother’s wings. She kisses each of you on the forehead before setting you both back down in the nest in sitting positions.

>>
>>40351313
“Chirp, Twi~ Tweet!!” your sister begins twittering loudly in protest of something. You tilt your head in her direction confused as to why she is suddenly making quite the fuss.

“Oh, did all that playing make you hungry?”” your mother tuts to your sister. “Well, I’ll go see what I can rustle up for the two of you stay right there and listen to your sister if anything happens, and leave the youngest alone.” At this she stands up to her full height and after briefly adjusting her position in the nest, she spreads her white wings and takes flight into the air leaving behind a gust of wind. You wonder how you are supposed to listen to your sister when she can’t even talk, oh well.

You decide that the best course of action is to learn more about your new home, after all if this is your life now you’d best get accustomed to it. You lift yourself out of your sitting position with your little legs and into standing upright. It is, difficult to support yourself however you were always used to walking with weight so it shouldn’t be that hard. You stumble across the twigs and branches that make up the nest towards your twin sister, if you are going to have an adventure you’ll be damned if you aren’t going to drag your sibling along with you.

You let out a resounding “Twit~! Chirp chee, chrirp~ tweet~!” to tell your sister to get up and follow you.

“Coo~?”She tilts her head at this as she looks at you with a perplexed expression however she complies and raises to her feet.

---Congrats! Your Twin Sister ____ has joined your party!---

You look around the nest, it is actually quite large and the tree that it is settled in must be enormous for it to be able to fit here. It is roughly half the size of a four family home and constructed almost entirely of twigs, branches, straw and feathers. In some areas there are messes of matted ripped fur and feathers, you assume these to be resting areas and beds. You look back to where you first hatched over there you see three broken open eggs and one still intact one, hunh, that must be the youngest like mom was talking about earlier.

You and your sister keep meandering around the nest until you come across another pile of feathers and fur, this one seems raised unlike the others and seems to be moving up and down. Weird.

Instead you decide to leave the breathing pile of fluff alone and meander back across the nest to where you hatched less than a few hours ago.

Wait, how long has it actually been since you hatched? It was early morning when you first tumbled out into this world, but judging from the height of the sun on this cloudless day, you could guess that it is already around noon. How long has mom been gone? You shake your head and decide to go check out your youngest sibling.

Coming back to the place of your birth there is a somewhat surreal feel to it. The area is especially soft, filled with cloth, fine straw, plenty of feathers and fur, most likely to soften the landing when you or one of your siblings hatched. Laying right there before you are the confines of yourself and your siblings. And there lying in the center is your youngest sister? Brother? Can harpys be male or is it some weird, only female species? Like in those doujins that you totally never read.

You slide up to the egg of your youngest sibling, your twin sister looking at you apprehensively.
“Chirp,” she twits at you as she stays outside of the nursery.

How will you check the egg?
>Try to help your sibling hatch, we want more family now
>Just check for a pulse or kicking? They aren’t moving so why rush it

You approach the large marble egg and gently wrap your downy wings around it, easing yourself down onto the nursery floor so that you do not disturb the precious cargo inside, you press your ear up against its side. You listen for a little while and you think you can make something out *Thump, ThumpThump, Thump*. Yep, that’s a heartbeat all right. Your little sister/brother seems to be doing fine inside their milky white container.

You take your head away from the egg and motion for your twin to come over with a “Chip~ Tweet, Chirp Chirp!”

At first she doesn’t comply merely looking over in your direction with a look of worry on her face, but after a moment she gazes at the open sky, then back to you, then back at the sky, and back to you. And finally decides to make her way across the nursery floor and over to where you are warming the egg with your wings. She settles down on the soft floor on the opposite side of the egg and embraces it just like you are, listening to the heartbeat coming from the ivory capsule.

She looks at you with a mixture of bewilderment and amazement, “Chirp, Cheep?” She asks. You really wish you understood bird, but you think she is asking if that is the sound of your kid brother/sister, so you bob your head in a nod. This seems to put a look of elation on your sister’s face as she snuggles up to the egg. The two of you embracing the egg with your downy white wings in the Mid-noon sun, the warmth of the nest, it is all very relaxing. You let out a small yawn and your sister returns the gesture.

You shake yourself awake, feathers puffing out as you make an attempt to keep from falling asleep. You look over at your sister, across the egg from you. Her eyelids are already drooping as she lets out another yawn, she is looking close to passing out.

You let out a loud “CHIRP!” to rouse her from her slumber and she flinches as she finds herself awake once more. The two of you can’t fall asleep yet, there is still so much left to see! You can wait until Mom gets back with the food, and then with food in your belly, you can go into a sweet slumber. You still have a section of the nest to explore that you haven’t yet, and you want to check it out.

You make your way to the far end of the nest, there is a barrier of twigs, mud, and branches here that separates this into a type of room, away from the other portions of the nest. Behind you, your sister toddles on, barely keeping awake as she trudges on her feet chirping weekly in protest as you reach the threshold. From the entranceway you can see a very large pile of feathers and fur, it doesn’t seem to be moving so you doubt anyone is in there. You also see a bag of some sort, it reminds you of an old timey nappsack, there also appears to be what looks to be two treasure chests near the outside wall of the nest.

Dare you enter?

Your eyes light up, there it is, your haven, the largest, comfiest, softest bed in the whole house. The parent’s bed. Long ago in a distant land, when you were human, you remember entering your parent’s bed whenever you were having a nightmare or feeling sad and it was always the perfect way to get a good night sleep.

You stand in the doorway waiting for your twin to catch up as her talons drag across the straw floor. Then with your wing you point towards the pile of fluff that is your parent’s bed. Her eyes light up with renewed vigor as she enters the room as quickly as her little legs can carry her headed for the pile of assorted furs and feathers. Throwing herself into it with a Puff as little bits of free down and hairs go flying everywhere.

It isn’t long before you to cross your parent’s room to join her seeking comfort in the cool pile of animal coverings. It feels like you are on a cloud, the softness of the “bed” is comparable to that of your mother holding you in her wings, possibly even comfier. You snuggle up to your sister who has already fallen asleep in the pile. Your eyes grow heavy as you snuggle up against your twin. You can barely move your limbs as you wrap them around her, clutching her like a big stuffed bear you won at a carnival. She returns the grasp in her sleep, adding her own wing feathers to the multitudes of fluffy comfort surrounding you. Your eyes droop, you let out a yawn, and you drift slowly off to dream land.

Your sleep is, uneventful to say it in the best terms, you don’t have any dreams, but I guess that’s better than having a nightmare. While you sleep you find yourself in an inky blackness and before you know it you are awake again. Your eyes slowly flutter awake and you find yourself rested and recuperated you awake still in your parent’s room in the pile of MAXIMUM FLUFFY, with your sister still clutching onto you with her wings, snuggling up against you. You can feel her short breaths brushing against you feathers as she nestles in closer to you. Then out of the corner of your eye you catch a glimpse of something. Something large and tan, with white fuzzy… oh. It’s your mother come back from her hunt. Is she going to be upset? You hear heavy panting, oh god, she is totally upset that you were in her bed.

You turn to get a better look. You see your mother with the biggest grin on her face, she seem elated, apparently enraptured by the cute scene of her twin daughters asleep on her bed. If she had a cellphone she would probably be taking dozens of photos right now, but you don’t think this world has that level of technology. You start to stretch and yawn, turning over causing your sister to jostle in her sleep, futilely attempting to hold onto you with her wings, her soft down failing to find purchase as you move.

“Oooh, its ok. You don’t need to wake up for mama.” Your mother says in a hushed tone voice, filled with caring and worry as she stretches out her wing to caress the top of your head. Sadly, you are already awake and you can’t help but look up at her with a little smile on your face.
“Are you hungry? Mama, brought back food for you and your sister.” She says in the same tone of voice apparently attempting to not wake your twin.

Your stomach rumbles with her question, but how do harpys feed their young? And is it really something you want to find out?

You figure the best way to find out how harpys feed their young is by having a test subject take the fall in your place. And who better than your twin? After all she was the one who cried out for Mom to go get the food in the first place.

You turn away from your mother and begin making your way over to the sleeping form of your twin sister, she is still nestled quite snugly into the bed and the feathers in front of her faces shift with each tiny breath. Your mother makes a noise as if to call out to try to stop you but you sit down next to your sister’s sleeping form and nudge her with your wing. She kicks idly in her sleep her talons pushing fur and feathers around as you nudge her more and more, poking at her face with your wings. She grumbles and her eyes flutter open.

She grimaces and lets out a rather unhappy “Tweeeeet…” as she begins to right herself in the bed. Sitting up on her legs, she looks at you unhappily before realizing that mom is in the room, at which her expression changes rapidly to joy as she hurriedly gets up and waddles over to Mom’s wing. Chirping and twitting for what you can only assume is begging for food.

“Ok, ok, don’t worry, Mama brought home plenty for my little chickadees.” She tuts as leans over and nuzzles your sister. “Now come on, we don’t eat where we sleep, out of Mama and Papa’s room.” She finishes as she begins escorting your sister out. You follow closely behind, back into the main nest.

>>
>>40356157
Back in the main nest you notice that there are two large leafs, they remind you of Palm leafs, but broader, near the center of some of the more branch based flooring. One is covered in bones, fur, some strange diamond like scales, and various other bits of guts and viscera. Normally this would creep you out or put you off but for some reason you think little of it. The other leaf is filled to the brim with finely diced raw meat you look worriedly at the pile. What exactly did mom hunt to acquire this much meat? Also is the pile moving slightly?

“Go ahead little ones, your mother worked hard for this one.” You mother says with a bit of pride in her voice looking over the meal she hunted and prepared for her little ones.
With that your sister lets out a happy chirp and heads over to the pile of what could best be described as raw hamburger, and begins greedily chowing down, sticking her face into the pile and biting chunks out of the meat.

Uhhh….

The meat seems to move down on her side as it falls in place to replace what she greedily gobbles up. Wait, was that why the pile was moving earlier?

You walk across the branches on the floor talons dragging slightly as you make your way to the other side of the quivering meat pile, you hear a the noise of chewing and messy eating coming from your sister and the other side. As you make your way around you find yourself face to feathers with yet another harpy, who appears to be about four years old in appearance. This one looks like mom as well but, different, she has tan skin like mom, and the majority of her feathers are downy white in plumage, however you can see small flight feathers starting to make themselves known which have a brown hue, her hair is to her shoulders and it is a shiny wavy light brown, her face, hair, and plumage are all stained red with blood as she takes another large bite from the pile. She chews the meat happily for some time before realizing you are there, at which time she swallows with a large gulp.

“Oh? You must be lil’ sis. Are you one or two?” She tilts her head quizzically as she asks you this. Her front stained with the blood and bits of gore from mom’s kill.

Sounds like it would escalate to become the most Canadian argument.

You take a small step back, unsure what to make of the situation. Not only are you a twin, but you also apparently have an older sister as well? How big is your family? And where is little chick number 3? You saw three hatched eggs back in the nursery?

“Cherp” you say as if that means anything to your older sister, you can’t talk. How do her and mom know English when all you and sis can do is twit and tweet?

“Ah, fresh hatch, from today. Don’t worry little sis’ you’ll get the hang of our language soon enough. In the meantime dig in. Mom worked hard to bring back more than enough for us.” Your sister explains with a happy tone in her voice motioning with her wing to the pile of meat.

You approach warily, after all this is raw meat, this stuff is dangerous! What mother would allow her kids to eat this? You take another step towards the pile, your mouth beginning to salivate as your stomach growls out in anticipation. And aren’t birds supposed to regurgitate? Or are you human in feeding? Isn’t that supposed to involve nursing? Another step closer and you are before the meat pile looming over the ground up mystery animal. What animal is this anyways? What kind of animal has both scales and fur? You dip your head down and sink your teeth greedily into the pile, blood flows down your chin and your throat as you take up a large bite of the flesh, chewing it a few times before swallowing. It is delicious, better than any medium rare stake you had at a restaurant, better than every McDonalds hamburger, better than any eat you can remember. You chow down as much as you can, filling your little baby bird stomach. Next to you your older sister, returns to her meal as well, with your twin munching down on the pile on the opposite side from you. Mom looks on wing covering a happy smile as she tuts on with joy at watching her family eat her kill.

One big happy family.

------------

That's all for tonight folks. Sticking around for Q&A as per usual. Thanks for showing up.

Thanks for running! Really enjoyed it!

Nice job again Sigil.
And thank you for noting the importance of female protagonists in RE quests.
Only male lead in RE is in the light novel, and we don't talk about him.
>>
>>40357365
>RE
what is thing
>>
>>40357453
the source material RE:Monster is a light novel
>>
>>40357453
Source material for all of these quests is a light novel/manga called RE:Monster

Hence why all the quests have RE in the front.
Light novel is pretty shit, manga is okay.

Damn, missed out on a really good pun there.

You're welcome random citizens.

Don't remind me of him. Please. It had such promise, then the elves...

For those of you wondering I plan on running every Tuesday from 3-3:30 EST to 10-11EST. Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays being optional days if I feel up to it. I will try to do at least 2-3 threads a week.

So you don't want us to be your pic.
>>
>>40357690
He wants us to be adorable siblings who do crazy shit.
A panty and stocking picture would have been more acurate (and that's saying something).
>>
>>40357797
He wants one of us to betray the other in a terribly executed last-second plot twist that heralds the death of the series?
>>
>>40357797
Please anon, don't give me ideas. I like writing cutesy and neither you or the twin are bitchy enough to be panty. You are both gluttonous enough right now to be Stocking but that's just growth spurts.

Well, anon. I'm still around if you want to ask questions. Please do. I'm not tired yet but I felt this was a good spot to end tonight.
>>
>>40358469
You could do it at the end of this quest like the screwhues of old who once dwelled in that one snake thing nobody cares about.
>>
>>40358716

>>40358792
Funny you talk about space whales, but nah, that ain't me.

>>40358855

Oh fuck, Kap? Fuck no. That was a total mess.

>>40358901
Neat. I'll give you a hint: It's not a RE quest, but it does involve monster girls! Good luck with that, I'm probably over staying my welcome now. Cya.
