Here is a short summary of what has happened so far:
The planet of Glore IV is being wracked by a Tyranid invasion; in a vain effort to minimise their losses the Sisters of Battle on the planet have split up their Ordo across the world into small fire teams of four to ten Battle Sisters. You play as the leader of one such squad.

Your Sarge was captured after several daring missions against the foul Xenos. She had previously led you into battle against Genestealers, Orks, and a full blown battle against a Tervigon. She even took down an Ork Nob single handedly. However, she met her match against some Dark Eldar who captured her, dragging her away. The Squad is now led by Palatina, the Sister Celestian who slew dozens of aliens with her trusty heavy bolter.

You have recently learnt that there is a Dark Eldar webway portal somewhere in the hills not far from your base. However, an Inquisitor of the Ordo Xenos, Barnabas Umbrix, has told you to hold off searching for it while he pulls some strings higher up.

Your other squad mates include Alexi, the bubbly and slutty bimbo and Sister Dominion. The only thing they may enjoy more than burning Xenos with her hand flamer is aggressively cuddling them.
Serena is the level-headed diplomat of the team, and marksman. She is possibly the most loyal of the squad to Palatina.
Jezebel is a Sister Repentia who was awarded to assist your squad for good work done. Unusually she prefers the lighter chainsword over the bulky eviscerator typically carried by the Repentia. There are rumours in her past about dabbling with demons.

You have just returned to your squad after spending the day away; and now have the chance to take on a mission for one of the factions of Glore IV.

As you climb out of the Rhino you notice Alexi and Jezebel expanding the trenchline along the front of the base. It now has enough room to fit four soldiers inside.

“Good job! You know where Serena is?” you call out to the couple.

“Hey, Palatina! She’s upstairs taking inventory of our supplies. I think she wanted to see you about something,” Alexi yelled back, waving at you.

“Thanks,” you reply, jogging upstairs to search for Serena.

You find her quickly enough, sorting out ammunition and spare materials.

“Hey Pal; we just got a shipment of more power armour from one of Inquisitor Umbrix’s henchmen today. I’ve added them on to our current inventory list. Here’s what we currently have.”

You take the dataslate out of her hand and quickly glance down your current supplies.

-One set of crimson red artificer armour taken from an Inquisition Crate we found and cracked open..
-Spades, hammers, hoes, and some other small farm tools.

-Approximately three power armour suits of scrap metal.

1.) Only the finest.
A Colonel in the Astra Militarum wants a squad to find him two bottles of Pesentblüd Brandy for his birthday. There are probably some supplies in the cities still occupied by the Tyranids.
Reward: Two heavy stubbers and two crates of ammunition for your weapons.

2.) The Battle of Bedleyberk Ridge.
Bedleyberk is under attack by a swarm of Tyranids. The garrison there are dug in on the defensive, but they are in urgent need of backup. All units are being requested to support this battalion. They are currently composed of an Infantry Group, a Mechanised Infantry, and an Artillery Company. We are estimating a 2-1 numerical advantage for the Tyranids.
Reward: Tyranid advance thwarted. Any loot you find on the battlefield.

3.) Blitzkrieg of the Valkyries
You Canoness is demanding a squad launch a surgical strike to try and take out an Orkish manufacturing plant. Early recon indicates that there will be up to a hundred Orks there and you will not be expected to win a regular fight. Your job will be to take out a couple of key points of the processing line with melta bombs provided by the Astra Militarum to delay production of their vehicles of war. The factory is noted as producing light to medium war machines as well as armoured walkers.

“We’ll go to Bedleyberk tomorrow,” you remark to Serena, tapping the holoscreen and letting the generals know you will be responding to their plea for assistance. With that sorted you head to bed; it was the first decent sleep your squad had experienced in almost a week. You all relished it.

It was heavily overcast when you woke up that morning; thankfully not yet raining. You whipped your squad together in barely 30 minutes, getting them fed and geared up before rushing out to the Rhino. Bedleyberk Ridge was a two hour drive from your camp thanks to the torn up roads destroyed by marauding Tyranids and inaccurate artillery bombardments.

When you finally arrived the scene was terrifying. You had parked atop a hill where the generals had set up a command tent to oversee the battlefield. A few meters to the right of this were a squad of three Basilisk artillery guns, relentlessly blasting shells into the Tyranid ranks.

“Emperor save us…” you hear Serena whisper as she looks over the tall ridge.

A long trench line was firing wildly into a massive swarming horde that blotted out any grass and greenery. A few larger creatures were dispersed throughout the horde, helping to maintain synapse for the Xenos.

You stepped over to the edge of the ridge and glanced down at the guardsmen below, quickly counting their numbers and equipment before you moved on to looking at the Tyranid swarm. If you could identify some of the main threats you could know what you were dealing with. Even in a large horde the lesser gants were rarely a threat against an organised army.

Unfortunately the thick black smoke of battle mingled with the fog of war and made it almost impossible to identify what most of the shifting shapes in the Tyranid ranks actually were. After a couple of minutes you noted down what you think both sides had.

You order your squad to keep watch while you meet the Generals. It takes a minute, but eventually the nervous trooper guarding the tarpaulin door steps aside and lets you in. Two bedraggled men and an exhausted women look up at you; rows of medals gleaming on their chests. A massive paper map has been laid out in front of them with large red crosses drawn through old trench lines. They had been pushed back to make a final stand at Bedleyberk Ridge.

*BOOM*

A Basilisk screams out again, hurling another earthshaker shell at the enemy.

“Are you the reinforcements?” one of the men asks, his thick brown hair dripping with beads of sweat.

You glance down at the small nametag on his shirt. ‘Col. Ulysses.’

“Yes, Colonel. I’m bringing four Sisters and a Rhino for support.”

“Dammit… Well, we’ll take anything we can get right now. Our goal is to take out those synapse creatures. We need someone to get up close and personal with a melta bomb. We can either send out your squad in your Rhino. Or we can loan you some bigger guns to cover our Scions while they drive out in their Taurox to do it. It’s your choice really.”

“We’re at our wits end here,” the female colonel pleads with you.

“Thank you, I’ll have the grunts load three into your Rhino,” Col. Ulysses remarks, snapping his fingers at two bodyguards in the corner of the room.

You head back outside to your squad and explain the situation.

“Sounds like a plan!” Jezebel booms with a grin.

Serena doesn’t seem too sure, grabbing you by the arm and whispering, “Is this really a good idea? Remember what that Tervigon did to Sarge?”

“I know, trust me. We’re not gonna win this fight if we don’t take some risks.”

“Alright, Palatina, I trust you.”

“Good, let’s go then!”

Your Rhino roars to live as you crash down the Ridge and drive over a small bridge covering the trenches. Half a minute later and you’ve hit the first Gants in the Tyranid ranks, crushing them beneath the heavy tracks of your tank.

You man the storm bolter as Alexi drives, blowing away any Gants that try to climb onto your tank. Eventually you notice two targets you could try and take out.

The first is a massive hulking Tervigon, much like the one that got your Sarge. It was pumping out a steady stream of new Gants onto the battlefield. The other is a smaller, but possibly more dangerous Carnifex. It was waving two huge claws capable of tearing through almost any armour, and a large bio-guns that you hadn’t seen before. It would probably reach the guard’s ranks in the next few minutes unless you stopped it.

You feel an momentous force toss you out of the gunner's seat and almost into the horde of eager Tyranids.

You grab onto the front of the Storm bolter at the last second, swinging off it like a rope as you dangle down the side of the tank.

You nod in reply and take your left hand off the Storm Bolter, opening it up to accept a melta bomb. She sighs and reaches down into the tank, grabbing one of the orange explosives and passing it to you.

You cling on with your right hand, leaning off the side of your tank at a right angle, melta bomb extended as you approach the Tervigon. Smaller Gants claw at your legs, but the tank is moving too fast for them to land any decent blows.

“HEY!” you roar at the Tervigon, getting its attention, “You better call the Hive Mind for a new job…”

You arm the explosive and toss it at the creature’s open maw while you pass.
