You have had one hell of a day.

Things started out nicely enough. You entered the world martial arts tournament, along with many of your friends. You watched your little sister do incredibly well in the Junior Division, and had several exciting matches in the tournament.

But, things seem to have a habit of making your life difficult. After winning the tournament, you fought half a dozen possessed warriors who wanted to kill you. As if that wasn't bad enough, you had to stop an ugly green wizard from reviving an ancient monster.

It's just been one of those days.

Now, you fly towards the rest of your friends, along with Tien, Gohan, Goku, Vegeta, and Majin Buu, the creature you were supposed to keep from being resurrected.

You glance back at the so-called "monster", still not quite believing that he's what had the Supreme Kai so frightened. His appearance is one of a rotund child, and his demeanor is quite similar. You know from experience that appearances can be deceiving, but you've gotten along with Buu pretty well so far.

As the crowd continues to cheer, and the announcer continues speaking of you, an explosion appears in the sky above the arena.

The crowd gasps, and some begin to panic, fearing a repeat of the attempt on your life that occurred at the end of your match with Mira.

"Oh, now what?" the announcer asks in disbelief and fear, looking into the sky.

Cell Jr. hovers high above the ring, smirking at you as he slowly descends.

"My apologies for interrupting," Cell Jr. says as he comes to land at your side. "I wanted to come and offer my congratulations to the new champion personally, and to offer him a challenge."

"You can get in line," he says, spitting as he climbs the stairs and enters the ring. "The brat already owes me a match."

Cell Jr. smirks. "Far be it for me to deny you the battle you crave, but consider this: your desire for a match isn't just about fighting Kaguya. You want to prove that you're the strongest there is. So, why not wait until Kaguya and I have our match? The winner is obviously the most powerful, and, the perfect challenge to prove your strength against."

Vegeta scowls.

"In fact, I would like to extend an invitation for any martial artists confident in their abilities to attend and challenge the winner of our match," Cell Jr. says into the camera before looking back at you. "So, Kaguya, do you accept?"

The next week is an eventful one. You train hard with Gohan, Goku, and Drake. Your little sister seems more determined than ever to grow more powerful since the tournament, and is improving rather quickly.

To add to things, Buu has been staying at your house. He eats about as much as Nappa, so your mother spends a fair amount of time cooking in order to sate his appetite. He's pretty pleasant to be around, and Sixteen has taken it upon himself to educate the pink creature on a peaceful way of living.

Between training and watching Buu, you also had your first date with Videl. It was pretty simple, dinner and a movie, and was a nice night of relative peace. Of course, on the way to dinner, the two of you stopped a bank robbery, but, otherwise, it was just a nice, quiet evening.

Videl's stopped by a few times to train, usually staying for dinner after. Your mother seems to love having her around, and Videl can't get enough of your moms' cooking.

Soon, however, the day of the games rolls around. You get out of bed, eat, get dressed, grab some beans just in case, and prepare to leave.
