You growl at the zombie, and it doesn't even seem to care as it continues to throttle Djanna. You charge forward, putting aside for now the thought that your new friend just abandoned you. How could she, after you-

That's when your eyes catch movement behind the zombie, near the campfire. You see Emma slipping along the wall, her skin and rags blending into the colors perfectly. You can't really believe what you're looking at as she creeps closer to the burning logs, the leaping flames moving just a bit too slowly in her reflective skin to look quite plain. You don't hear or smell her either. That's... not important! You plow into the zombie full-bore, and drive her to the floor. She doesn't seem to react at all, her hands still tight around your sister's throat, grip unbroken. She turns her eyeless sockets back up to you, smiiling sweetly. "Is that you, Emma dear? Naughty girl, you know better than to run away. I'm going to have to punish you..." She releases Djanna who... she's not breathing. Panic sets into your chest as the zombie reaches out for you with a single arm, and you notice that though it's other is moving, it's not rising. You hear a sickly wet grating sound, realizing it's either broken or dislocated. Either way!
>>
>>40244189
The zombie's face is suddenly illuminated from above, and you hear Emma yell "Get your friend and run!" You don't hesitate, rolling to the side and grabbing Djanna as the tiny girl's illusion breaks, revealing her in her rags and matted hair, a look of fury on her face as she shrieks, bearing tiny fangs, and slams a flaming log from the campfire into the zombie's head. The blow doesn't seem to do any damage, the force of it making the fox girl cry out and drop the log, but the flame catches on the zombie woman's rotten clothes, igniting and setting the strange ooze of her body alight. It slowly begins to rise, broken arm hanging limply at its side.

>Take Djanna and get her out of there!
>Let Emma distract the zombie while you try and help Djanna
>Maybe Djanna will be okay. The zombie needs to die! ...again.

Welcome to RE: Kobold Quest

QM Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/lotuseater1031

Ask me Questions: http://ask.fm/Lotus_Eater

Pastebin: http://pastebin.com/u/Lotus_Eater

SYSTEMS:

Rolling: d100, best of three, roll under, degrees of success (roll compared to DC/opponent rolls and the amount by which you succeed/fail will matter). 1/100 are crit successes/fails, and override other rolls. A crit fail and success on the same roll means the remaining die result will be used.

Win/Lose by 10: Slight Success/Failure

10-20: Moderate Success/Failure

Greater than 20: Extreme Success/Failure

Voting/Writing: Ten minutes for voting, 20-40 minutes for writing as needed.

Final Destination: If a vote is tied/contended, I will call for FINAL DESTINATION, and present the most popular options. For those who don't know, you must vote precisely in the form of ">vote" without additional commentary. This extends 4chan's native post delay from one minute to five, and prevents samefagging or vote padding.

Exploration: While I have a general outline of what's going to happen, sometimes there are instances where things are left to chance. In those cases, I'll call for 1d10, and take the first given. Low rolls are beneficial encounters, with the higher you go being more dangerous. A result of 10 can actually be threatening to the character, and should be treated as such.

Combat: You will be called on to make both an offensive and defensive role, unless you choose FULL ASSAULT/DEFENSE.

Emma steps back against the wall, now completely visible, as the flaming zombie casts her head about left and right. "Dear? Emma, dear? I can smell you. This old girl doesn't hear well, but I can smell you dear. Why don't you come give me a hug? I forgive you, I promise..." Her voice is losing some of its coherence, some of the same throaty croak you heard below returning to it. She moves slowly as she turns about, sniffing at the air. Strangely, as she burns, she smells better than she did when you first entered the room.

You step to the opposite wall, setting Djanna down carefully. Your breath catches in your throat, and for the first time you're keenly aware of how small she is. Thin arms, thin legs, thin chest, and a delicate, slender neck that is currently a deep, angry purple from haematoma. Wait... what? Bruises. That's what mama called them when you bumped into things. You think back, though it's hazy, and you remember a time and place long gone. You wore strange clothes, and stood in a long room with other faceless people dressed similarly strangely. A tall male with a silver charm around his neck barked gruffly at you while an effigy sat before him on the ground. One by one you were brought forward to beat the thing on the chest, then kiss it. The whole thing seems alien to you, and why would-

That's when it hits you.

You fly into action, laying one massive paw over the other at the base of her chest, giving short compressions of her diaphragm before leaning down and putting your lips to hers, breathing slowly into her airway. You repeat. And again. And again. She's not moving, not coughing, not stirring. Damn it! DAMN IT! You can't be too late! You see something spatter on her cheek. You're not aware of when you started crying, or when the desperation began to make your heart pound in your throat. Behind you, you hear scraping moving away from you and the squeal of an iron hinge. You dare not take the time to look.

No! NO! You keep going through the motions desperately, compressions, and breathing. Compressions, and breathing. You hear the shuffling scrape of the zombie's footsteps still moving about the room, calling for Emma. Occassionally, you hear the swish of a tail, or the rattling of an iron door, or the brazier, or scratching of nails on stone. You don't care. There is only your still, still sister. Finally, she coughs weakly, her eyes fluttering open. You see veins running through them like a network of spiderwebs, and they're terribly unfocused. Her mouth opens and closes slowly, bare wheezing bringing flecks of blood to her lips. She's not in good shape at all, but at least for now she's breathing. Thank goodness. You run a hand through her thin hair and she shudders, eyes closing as she passes back into unconsciousness. Her breathing is slow and rattles somewhat in her chest, but at least it's there. She's safe. You saved her from... was it from the zombie, or from your own...

You shake your head, whining at the thought. You hear the zombie groan slowly from the other end of the room, her voice directed toward you. "Eeeeeeeemmmmmmmmaaaaaaa..." You rise slowly and turn to face the monster, keeping yourself between Djanna and the monster. The fire has burned low, leaving the beast less slimy. Its skin is charred, its grave-clothes burned to cinders, and in several places its skin and flesh have burned away leaving visible putrescence to show through, held barely contained by discolored bone. Emma looks to you, eyes wide, her hand on the door to the lower levels. Her ears flick in surprise, though she looks cool as ice, and she slowly shakes her head.

Right. I'd rather the QM roll their actions as he has.

I do understand them getting more or as many rolls as we do. It does sort of make the entire party OP though. I thought we got more rolls do to being the Player/Chosen.

If everyone gets them It seems a bit OP. Sure we have a solid chance of taking everyone out.

But.. If everyone does.. we're pretty broken and any real difficulty is sort of removed.

I'm feel like everyone is screaming for easy mode. Fights and conflicts would be a whole hell of a lot less interesting.

Paramedics still perform mouth to mouth, or that weird gas bag thing they do.
They don't include it in their basic training because of communicable diseases and the act that most people don't carry mouth barriers with them.

also, the compressions also act to compress the lungs, although it's much less effective.

>>40245354
Alright, lets start fighting dirty. Ain't gonna win conventionally. Go for the sideways kick on the knee, easier to force it outward than inwards, to cut mobility. Find a some ashes from the fire and throw it in the zombies eyes to create an opening. That kind of stuff.

The studies within the last two decades all show that CPR is what saves lives, not rescue breath. Doing rescue breath is wasting time that you should spend on CPR, unless 1) you are running a code and someone got an advanced airway in or 2) it has been a long long time since the person dropped and you have a bag valve mask.
>>
>>40244992
You charge forward with a literal roar, clenching a fist and bringing it down into the monster's head. The force of the blow would kill a living creature, or really, any creature. A rotting corpse? It should have taken her head clean off! Her head doesn't move, and it's like punching a steel beam. She does jerk back, but it seems to be more in shock than in actual recoil or pain. "Nnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooot... EMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..." it shrieks, raising it's good arm and grabbing ahold of your arm with a monstrous strength.

"Don't let her close her grip! You'll never shake her off!" Emma calls, scurrying back to the dying fire. She tears a long piece from the hem of her rags, wraps her hands quickly, and grabs hold of the end of a flaming brand, drawing it from the flames. The movement makes the rest of the branches fall, the rush of air extinguishing them with a "fwumph".

You jerk your fist away just before the zombie's hand snaps shut, and with the way the muscles contract along her arm and in her fist, you wonder if it would have broken your wrist, even as strong as you are. It's a wonder Djanna's neck didn't snap... you circle the zombie, taking experimental swings at her, each one hitting her and bouncing off all but harmlessly. She's not even forming words any more, just groaning deeply as she swipes at empty air, trying to guess at where you are. Emma has crept to the doorway to the depths, looking as if she might bolt. She seems relaxed, but you know the look - ears folded back, tails between her legs. "Hey! Czarina!"

The beast slowly turns its back on you, groaning low in its throat before shuffling toward the sound of Emma's voice. She holds the brand before her, waving it slowly back and forth. "That's right, I'm right here. C'mon, I'll tell you another story. Let's just go back to your crypt."

It's still like punching a wall, but you feel the jaw dislocate under the force of your blow, and she actually staggers backward a couple steps. Stunned. You... you're not sure why, but you jam a thumb into your chest.

"Where do you think you're going? Your opponent is right here!" Man, you feel so coo-

The zombie turns back to the door, holding out it's good arm and moaning what might kind of be Emma's name. Your ear twitches and you grab the monster by the back of the neck, pulling back throwing it down to the flagstones. Your cheeks are puffed out in a pout, tail flicking about furiously. You're getting really tired of people ignoring you just because you're small. You're not even small any more! Unless you mean height-wise, but-

The zombie's trembling, but not rising. You tilt your head curiously, bending down. You feel a tiny hand on your paw, jerking you toward the door to the tower. "We should go. Now."

The zombie snaps upright, shrieking with a strange sort of staccato laugh, its eyes blazing green as thick green mist flows from the sockets. You hear a grinding sort of crack as its jaw and arm right themselves. The door to the tower slams closed with an echoing bang, and shimmering walls of force spring up in the doorways to the upper and lower floors. The creature rises slowly, as if levitating back to her feet, and though she still seems damaged she seems none the worse for wear for it. She looks all about before her eyes fall on you and Emma. The small fox-girl gives a soft "Tsk..." under her breath.

She raises both arms toward you, shrieking something that might have once been language, and runs at you - not shuffles, runs - at you. Emma shoves you aside in the back of the knee, forcing you out of the way before jumping clear herself. The zombie doesn't stop, running full-force into the wall and scrabbling at it as if intent to tear it down stone by stone with her bare hands.

"Can you keep her busy? I can probably break the domain, but I need some time." Domain? You want to ask, but know that now probably isn't quite the best time. The light of her torch has begun to fade, the color being drawn from the room and rendering everything once more in dim shades of grey. You'll be effectively blind soon, but for the unhallowed gleaming in t he beast's eyes.

You send a silent plea to Yra under your breath as you shake your head. Emma scowls, but steps back to the center of the room and begins intoning long strings of unintelligible syllables that kind of make your head hurt if you focus too long on them. Yra remains silent, saying nothing to you. Emma's discarded torch goes out, and you bear your claws, hoping against-

The room is bathed in pale light from your claws, the sickle-shaped lengths glowing yellow in the dark. Your breath catches in your throat. With the fur on your paws you never realized before how incredibly warm they felt, and since they're typically kept sheathed you never saw them gleam before. Do they do this all the time? Could you use these if you have to get up in the night instead of grabbing a torch or a lantern? You're kind of impressed and shocked all at once.

The Czarina tackles you, but she doesn't manage to shift your mass at all as she shrieks in rage, trying to rend at your back. You yelp in surprise, her attacks catching in your coat ineffectively, and swipe at her cheek with your claws. She howls and recoils, for the first time showing some sense of awareness as she raises her formerly broken arm jerkily to her cheek. The wounds are ragged and smoking, extending the length of her cheek from her lips to where her ear had once been. The glow in her eye sockets intensifies as she lunges at you again, rotten nails bared like claws of her own.

"I'LL KILL YOU! KILLYOUKILLYOUKILLYOU!" See, now that? THAT you actually understand. You dodge, raking your nails along the Czarina's bare stomach and spilling her rotten guts along the floor. The zombie's feet become tangled and she falls, flailing about and screaming in frustration as she attempts to right herself. Gross...

That's enough. You're tired, you're frazzled, and you're kind of hungry, and you've just absolutely had it. You stride over as the zombie struggles to return to its feet, planting a foot between its shoulders and forcing it down to the ground. It struggles harder, growling and snapping at you as you pull back your hand, keeping it rigid with your claws pointing downward. There's a moment of hesitation - this thing clearly seemed at least somewhat intelligent, and maybe under different circumstances wouldn't have attacked you. But... you look to Djanna's still form, chest barely moving, and to the tiny bedraggled cat girl, covered in filth and wrapped up in the barest of rags. Her feet are cracked and almost black with dirt and who knows what, cobwebs and moss in her matted hair as she continues chanting slowly. She looks as though she's deep in concentration, but you can sort of feel a desperation in her actions. You frown and growl deep in your throat.

"Dead things should stay dead!" You drive your rigid hand into the base of her skull, the claws biting through her flesh and burning like cinders, the flesh around where they bit in charring and smoking. The zombie shrieks and jerks hard, trying to throw you off as it writhes. You pull your hand back and slash at the back of it's neck, the combination of this and the prior blow neatly severing her spine. Still, she shrieks and jerks, and when a third blow finally takes off her head, the body finally falls still, dropping immediately lifeless like a marionette with its strings cut. The head still snaps weakly, the gleam in its eyes beginning to fade as the mist flowing from its sockets slowly stills. You rise from the corpse - an actual corpse now, not moving around - and grab the head by her hair, carrying it to the brazier. You see the barest hint of a cinder still lies in the bottom of the copper basin, and you feel something holy within.

"OFFER THE FALLEN UNTO ME"
>>
>>40247304
Her heart's beating and she's breathing. No need to stop it again.

She's plenty capable of doing that herself.
>>
>>40247416
You toss the head in and it immediately bursts into white flame. The Czarina's head shrieks as the flesh begins to curl off of it, black smoke billowing from it's mouth and eye sockets and dissipating into the blinding white light. Emma has stepped back off the dais, her spell broken, watching the blaze with wide eyes. After the head has burned down to skull, and that to cinders, you see for the barest moment a face in the flames, young and beautiful. The face is framed by thick waves of blonde hair, the eyes bright green and full of life. It smiles, and mouths a silent "Thank you..." before it, and the flames, vanish without a trace.

This time, there's no worry for your companions or your safety to hold you back. You plant you feet, draw in your breath, clench your fists at your side, and give an ear-splitting victory howl. The shimmering walls of light barring the doors shatter with the sound of breaking glass, the "shards" of light falling into a million shades of opalescent light, vanishing as soon as they touch the ground.

"Wow." Emma whispers, her eyes half-lidded. She looks almost bored, though her tails are going mad behind her.

You bound over to Djanna, crouching and hovering your paws over her carefully, whining and prodding at her with firm pokes that make her whine in her fitful slumber, edging away from you as best she can. You hear bare footfalls and look up as Emma crouches down beside you, looking to you then to the dragon girl. "Did she live?" She leans over and lays a large, fluffy ear over Djanna's chest for a moment. You open your mouth to speak and she raises a slender finger with a "Shh!" She listens for a few seconds and nods. "She's fine for now, but she'll need some kind of attention."

You whine again softly and your tail wags back and forth in a mix of relief and worry. You look back to the doors leading into the tower proper. "Is there any kind of medicine here or something?" Emma gives you a look that you know well. Your older kin gave it to you often when you were running about in the warrens, or gamboling through freshly hung washing, or knocking things over with your tail.

"This is a necropolis. It doesn't exactly cater to the living." She stands and moves to the door down, whispering a few quick words and forcing the door closed. Huh, weird. The hinges didn't scream this time.

"A wha?" You turn toward her from your seat, half-twisted, unwilling to move away from the dragon girl.

"A place for the dead. Like a graveyard." You tilt your head, confusion evident.

"Then, why are you here?"

Her tails droop and an ear flicks. She remains silent for a long moment before turning back to you. "I don't remember." Huh? Djanna stirs, groaning and remaining asleep. You lay a hand on her arm, trying to comfort her as best you can. Emma shakes her head, walking back to your side and taking a seat beside the two of you, trying desperately to keep her rags low enough to preserve her modesty.
>>
>>40248062
"I don't remember. I was living in a forest with my family, a lot of brothers and sisters. Then, something happened. I... don't remember what. Then, I woke up here with the Czarina. She was nice, at first. Then she started... well, you saw her." She draws her knees up to her chest, her tails circling her ankles. She hugs them close, her chin resting on her knees as she stares at the stones between the two of you.

"So your family... you're all cats?"

Her ears flick in irritation, tails bristling. "...what?" You tilt your head sideways, your tail thumping against the ground. She frowns, yellow eyes flashing. "I'm not a cat! Where did you get that idea? I'm a kitsune!"

"Well, a cat is the same thing as a kitty, isn't it?"

"KITSUNE! KIT-SOO-NEY!" She snaps, ears flattened backward, eyes locked on yours as the tips of her tails flip about.

There it is again, that smell. Spices and autumn leaves and something just enticing! It makes you want to run and chase things, but here in the enclosed bottom floor, you satisfy your enthusiasm by leaning forward and inhaling deeply, over and over again as you edge your nose around her face to her ears and along her shoulder. She blanches and recoils. "H-hey! What do you think you're doing!? Get offa me!"

"If... if you're done... could I have some water please..."

You turn back, tail thudding against Emma ("Hey, knock it off! What the hell is wrong with you?") before pouncing on your sister. "DJANNA! YOU'RE OKAY! YAY YAY!" Emma gets a face full of kobold tail as you throw your arms around Djanna, rubbing her cheek to cheek. The dragon squeaks in pain, trying to force you off though she lacks the strength for it. She finally just gives in, letting you cling to her as she whimpers under your weight. Finally, you realize what you're doing, and pull back. "I'm so sorry! I thought you were right behind me, and when I realized you weren't I turned right around and came back, and then I saw that mean monster with her hands on your neck and I... I..."

You start bawling, tears flowing down your cheeks as you reach up and mash your fists into your eyes, trying to stop the tears by force. Djanna reaches up and lays a hand on your arm gently, and a moment later you feel a smaller, hesitant hand on your shoulder. Djanna clears her throat, grimacing as the pain passes over her. "Nadia... can we go home?" There is pleading in her voice, begging. Your sister has always been timid, but this... you hear something genuinely broken in her spirit. Tears flow down the sides of her head as she looks up at you in desperation. You want to nod, you want to scoop her up and carry her back home to the warrens right now... but something... somehow you don't think...

You consider carefully, laying one hand over hers, and the other over Emma's. The cat-girl doesn't seem too vested in the matter, but there is compassion in her eyes for the two crying lunatics who just slaughtered her jailer.

Much as I hate to do this, I lost track of time and have to get ready for work. Talk amongst yourselves, but please keep it civil at the bare minimum. Remember, we're all in this together, and we all want to see what happens to Nadia. A few caveats:

Nadia has proven herself capable of healing. The level of which is still unknown, but the healing she performed on her father and Djanna were relatively low-grade. Laying on hands and removing low-order infections evidenced so far.

Djanna IS pretty messed up. Medical attention IS a good idea.

Dragons ARE resilient, but they can still die. Djanna is, for the moment anyway, not at risk of sudden death.

>>
>>40248860
Don't forget, it's canon in spider quest that monsters heal faster than people, and that it is accelerated by eating.
>>
>>40248831
>>40248849
She nearly died twice because she froze up. Both times.
>>
>>40248760

My fondness for the quest is burning pretty low at this point.

Anyway, it's in Nadia's character to want to take Djanna home. Assuming Foulbreath Cavern is home, maybe a compromise would be to take her to the human city for treatment.

Then again, her wounds aren't severe enough for that risky trek into unfamiliar territory to be warranted. In all, this is kind of just looking like a shit shoot.
>>
>>40248830
Even if it's not to scale the human city has to be somewhat closer than our old warrens.

Vote we should head there for medical attention.

We use the hatchet to make a stretcher or a Travois to carry Djanna and then make an attempt at healing her. If it doesn't work we'll be ready to head out as soon as we wake up should the healing knock us out.
>>
I'd prefer we strap her to our back and make towards the town. They should have a healer, and we will have money after selling our loot from the tower.

Also guys, http://nethackwiki.com/wiki/Prayer is how nethack considers prayer to work, since we have nothing else to go off of, I recommend using it as a baseline idea of how prayers should be used and how we can get fucked over if we don't use them properly.
>>
I think we should attempt to heal her and rely on her fortitude as a dragon.

We've been given a massive quest and we're not going to just run home every time someone is wounded.

Running home also risks further conflict and more naysayers.

I'm concerned that taking her back is going to lead her to believe that she can just run away and it runs the risk of us getting trapped there as well.
>>
>>40248999
>I think we should attempt to heal her and rely on her fortitude as a dragon.
So you want her to die good to know
>>
>>40248999

She's begging us to take her home, and Nadia is a soft hearted puppy who is already homesick herself. I'd also point out that short of a samefagging war, the vote is strongly in favor of taking her home. We're going home, short of deus ex machina.
>>
>>40248992
Did lotus say our prayers work anything like this? If not I'm ignoring it entirely.

It's a terrible idea to just create restrictions that may not exist.

>>40249020
Lotus said she's not at the risk of sudden death and if we provide healing we can improve her condition.

I wouldn't be opposed to checking the human town. But the warrens is a bad idea.

>>40248999

>>
>>40249050
He also said we shoukd be getting her proper medical attention, don't just cherry pick the part you like. If Djanna wants to go home, that will happen becausd Nadia is not a fucked up sociopath for who adventure and muh e citemdnt is more important than Djannas well being.
>>
>>40249086
They do trade with our cohort. Why wouldn't they?
>>
>>40249094
I'm sorry. Honestly, I understand how you feel. It'l like an escort mission, and I didn't intend it that way. If it's any consolation, the way I'm handling things, even getting your ass beaten can make you stronger. Just not as quickly.
>>
>>40249071
No you retard he said she wasn't at risk of *sudden* death, he explicitly fucking said she can die.
>>
>>40249114
Have you seriously not considered that the human settlement is both closer and is more likely to have healing expertise? Ya'know what they dis to our aunt's leg that got acid wrapped? They wrapped it up and gave her a cane. Kobolds obviously can't into medicine. If you want to take care of Djanna, the unilaterally best course of action is to head to the city.
>>
>>40249049
We had the IPS shoot up to 34 when that happened. Samefagging is already going on in favor of going home. The vote count spiked massively.

>>40249089
Except that the rues in that particular page aren't the same as what his standards might be. I don't want to enforce standards that aren't actually up to par.

The restrictions could be stricter or more lenient. I think it's a bad idea to enforce a set of guidelines that are inaccurate.

>>40249114
He didn't say we should. He said it was a good idea. It doesn't mean it's necessary.

He avoided speaking about the political situation in the warren or the likely hood of her ever leaving it again.

As anon >>40249116 points out the humans trade with the warren meaning they're used to our kind. We may be able to get healing back there without going back to square one.

>>40249151
The way she was handled was a bit iffy. The dice have made her cowardly and weak.

It may have been better if you'd have given her a bit of a dragon buff or some such. We expected a power house.. we got.. well.. yeah.
>>
>>40249161
Yeah, and you said in plain words that she would. I just cited the QM saying she wouldn't. What's you bloody point trog?
>>
>>40249161
Then we lose little by trying to heal her first and seeing how that works out. If it doesn't do enough, the human town seems like it's the better option.
>>
>>40249151

You don't have much to apologize for. Anons are going to anon, and as (>>40249213) said, the dice have kind of shit on our companion. She is a baby taken from her mother far too early and then faced with horrifying things and horrifying luck. Wanting to go home is natural. It's just unfortunate that she's progressively becoming a dead weight.
>>
>>40249215
I didn't say any such a thing not everyone who points outnwhat a idiot you are is the same person.
>>
>>40249213
If I hadn't, with all her failed defense rolls last thread, she would likely have died. Plus she got endurance buffs during her stabilize checks. Remember, sshe's still evo one. She doesn't even have a proper breath weapon.
>>
>>40249283
Taking her to town might help her character as well. Shes smart, she going to help up not waste any money or get ripped off because of her obsession with treasure.

Maybe a couple of shiny baubles might want to keep her adventuring.
>>
>>40249331
I'm pretty sure this is considered racism.
>>
>>40249307
>If I hadn't

>>
>>40249353
She's also been a bit racist towards us. And I think it's safe to believe that Kobolds are a bit slow.

>>40249307

>>

>>40249388
>>40249377

That reminds me.

>Rolling for Djannas sanity
>>
>>40249295
And I wasn't the guy you chose to prove your lack of reading comprehension to. Nor am I the guy who's making you backtrack harder than the congressman who claimed women's body naturally shut down rape babies.

No one is buying that, "So you want her to die good to know." Means you don't think she'll die.
>>
>>40249441
What the fuck are you talking about?
I didn't fucking say that, I corrected your bullshit of the Qm saying she won't die, because thats not what he said. That was my entering the conversation, stop being such a pathetic tryhard just because you can't fucking read.
>>
>>40249441
Actually i was the one who said that, You're talking to a different anon
>>
>>40249430

Yeah, it turns out allowing the psychological stability, the very soul of the character, to hinge on dice is usually a terrible idea.
>>
>>40249353
Technically, I think it's just stereotyping rather than racism. There is a difference, IIRC.
>>
>>40249253
Except thats not what the vote is about, its not askin g what we do next, its asking what we respond to her saying she wants to go home. Which is either saying okay, if she wants home we bring her, or telling her to suck it up and do what we want.
She can still change her mind if we found her healing and she isn't terribly wounded and scared, but for now the point is what do we respond to her request, not our plan.
>>
Is there any real position to taking her to the human city if it's closer?

As someone pointed out we trade with them.. and the kobolds treated an acid burn with bandages.
>>
>>40249529
Yes, because we have no idea where exactly it is.
It might be closer, but that doesn't do us any good since we don't know the direction.
>>
>>40249529

You know, this would be an excellent time for the presumably smarter Kit to offer us an option that doesn't suck.
>>
>>40249491
I was actually thinking about a quest where you wake up as a brain in a box, and roll for how same you remain from /that/ shock. If that type of thing doesn't work, though :/
>>
>>40249566
Yeah, why aren't we asking her if she knows the area?
>>
>>40249551
>because we have no idea where exactly it is.
Are those roads that run along the coastline? Even if we miss the city we'll be sure to encounter it.
Are we certain we won't miss the area the den is in on a return trip?
>>
>>40249625
>Are we certain we won't miss the area the den is in on a return trip?
Definitly we are more certain in finding a place and path we have already been to rathe rthan one we have only heard from at best.
>>
>>40249471
Then we have a very simple situation called, "you jumped into an argument not understanding both sides and shat up the affair for everyone." We both read the same QM notes. Everyone knows the danger level. So stop assuming everyone is a brain dead ingrate that needs your adorably aggressive no nonsense attitude to suss them out.
>>
The 'take her to the city' would be a write-in option, along the line of denial.

And calling out her treasure obsession isn't stereotyoe or racism. Check Djanna's sheet.
>>
>>40249664
No, we have a simple situation called " you made up shit and tried to pretend the Qm said something he didn't say because you tried to support your idiotic argument".
And clearly you didn't properly read them because you claimed "she won't die", when, in fact, she very well could die from this. Just not suddenly. But internal bleeding is definitly not sudden. Its something we know about.
>>
>>40249673
Okay, back at a computer and I think with the weather tonight is going to be very, very boring. No, we are voting on bringing her home as she requests or forcing her to go where we want her to go. Thats why there is a indicator of "Agree/Deny" there.

Yes, hence why a lot of us want to go to the place that has competent medical practitioners.
>>
>>40249954
Which is why she treated acid burns.. with a crutch.. and bandage?

That's flawed logic. She's a dragon she knows how to treat dragon medical problems!

Hey look She's a kobold she knows how to treat all kobold medical problems!

Hey look a human! Humans know how to treat all human medical problems!

A place where we don't know how to get there exactly. Fucking brilliant if she bleeds out internally before we get there, because we don't know the actual way.

Deny (City)

Well, as I suspected, vote count really shot up drastically. Either there's a lot of repeat voting, IP switching, or fuck alone knows what. Anyway, we're going to take Dragon-sis home. For the moment, though, you're stuck in the tower. If you want to try and change her mind, now is the time to talk to her. Also, since you're all concerned for her well-being, give me a d100 while I write the next post. Oh, and a d10.

If the dragon knew magical dragon healing, I bet your ass she wouldn't have looked worriedly at us while we channeled the primal force of a goddess into purging poison from our father. If she had magical dragon healing, I'm pretty sure she would not have fricking wrapped an acid burn and spent the next week hobbling around with a cane. Cave medicine a shit.
>>
>>40249999
How exactly do you expect her to treat acid burns?
What was she supposed to do besides clean them up and prevent further infection? She lacked material not knowledge.

I feel like we could do some kind of pep talk.

Tell her that we haven't even gotten to the first shrine on our journey, and how can she think about going back already. Also that her mom is going to be disappointed.
We can fight through this, fighting and working together.
>>
>>40250147
Oh. Right.. it's roll low. Fuck yeah ones!
>>
>>40250147
Wonder of wonders. Does this mean we'll finally get a non hostile encounter?
>>

This.
>>
>>40250186
Also that if sshe goes back home, we're now traveling alone. I mean, Emma probably has her own plans which don't involve hanging around us.
>>
>>40250213
No, it just means we encountered a weakened metal slime equivalent.
>>
>>40250147

We find all the treasure, and maybe something to make Yamcha man the fuck up.
>>
>>40250031
>If you want to try and change her mind, now is the time to talk to her.
Repeating my write-in from before
>Ask her if its fine to go somewhere safer, and train! Not quite home, but no dangerous places until, or if, she feels ready.
We don't have to stay home if we go there, or maybe we manage to heal her before getting there. But maybe we can convince her to stick with us if we agree to take it slower.
>>
>>40250240
>make Yamcha man the fuck up.
She's got Krillin's cowardice and Yamcha's uselessness.
What does that make her?

>>
>>40250279
Anon, a weakened metal slime (talking about the Dragon Quest enemy, since you missed it) would, in all likelihood, die in one hit and give us a lot of experience. It's a joke in saying it'd still be a hostile encounter, but one that's pitifully easy with high rewards.
>>
>>40250278
...Raditz?
>>
>>40250387

Raditz is superior to Yamcha. She's Bulma... Then again, she doesn't even have any science talent. Fuck, I just want her to man up.

>>40250452
She *is* like, a week old.
