Hello and welcome to Lost In Time Quest! You are John Erin Perry, commonly called Jeppers (to your chagrin), and you’re the President of the Civil Engineers Association of Roanoke and surrounding districts. Of course, those surrounding districts seem to have taken a holiday, or maybe Roanoke has, and you find yourself, along with the rest of your small town, in another land and time.

.But right now, you’re in charge of preparing yourself to face off against the elves that are attempting to steal the homes of the humans.

---

You watch over your slowly forming army as they all approach the field just outside town, in the freshly cleared space of the dorves. They had planned to use it for their own exercises, but considering that you’re all part of the same team you’ve got them to agree for using it to set up the grand offensive that you’ll be staging.

By your side stand the rest of your team, with Mitch, Richard, and Mary all watching, hands behind their backs, faces hidden behind their own masks. They’ve all come to you privately and asked to be addressed by certain names, based on their own roles, so that they can add a bit more to the scare factor when some foreigners are around.

>Mary is the Director, haven’t managed a bastardized “Roanokian” version)
>Mitch is the Life-Giver (You guys haven’t thought of good Roanokian for that).
>Richard is the Arms-master (You all agreed that the Dakka fit splendidly).

Next to your group of Rohvakin is Dralich himself, shivering slightly in spite of the heat as your humans all prepare themselves. Having been alerted to the presence of the foreigners, all are treating it as a holiday to try out those fancy new masks that they’ve been working on.

>Roll 1d100 for the effect and intimidation of the masks. You can work on them later with AP if this doesn’t satisfy you.
>>
>>40119009

And then come the dorves themselves, who are working around your own citizens and ensuring that they’re all stocked up. Your dorves have decided that it may be best to have the humans represent Roanoke, as there’ll be plenty enough dorves coming from Hashan for their own presence to not matter.

But talking about that, how many troops are you sending?

>Everyone you possibly can, leaving behind skeleton crew
>Everyone you reasonably can, leaving behind the basic functions
>Army and CEA only
>Fractions of Army and CEA
>Write In

Along with that, you need to figure out what kind of firepower you’ll be bringing with you.

>Bring everything you can
>Bring everything you can, plus lathes
>Bring half of artillery
>Bring only personal firearms
>Write In

And finally, you need to figure out your last few orders before you finally leave for the farther shores. Mary wordlessly hands you a clipboard with all the different possibilities before you go. It seems that your own council has managed to get everything together on one neat little sheet of paper, for your convenience.

Can we research ship design? As in, ironclads at a bare minimum?
>>
>>40119254

Ships?

Of course. But, due to a complete lack of appropriate machinery, it would be a multi-turn project to get a facility necessary to build basic wooden ships (which you could apply modern engineering to, to be sure, but that may not be ironclad for a while.

Or you could do something incredibly stupid.

Fast attack craft preferably. We still would need to build up ship-building expertise and starting with things like PT boats to the size of WW2 destroyers is a nice basic range. Fun fact: modern US destroyers (such as the Zumwalt-class) are as big as the USS Neveda, which was a battleship.

Wait are we in a lake or on the edge of an ocean?
>>
>>40119609

Lake, connected to ocean. Use shitty ASCII art to get an idea

(Sea)--(Brackish Water)--=======(Roanoke)===(Hashan)

As a sense of scale. It would take at least a day or something to get to the brackish water.
>>
>>40119129

It’s now a few days later. You first stopped off in Hashan, where you were able to use your coins to buy the appropriate amount of supplies you’ll need on the mainland, as you don’t want to take too many supplies from Roanoke’s own storage, whereas Hashan is more than happy to provide goods and services, in exchange for the cash at least.

From there, you store the ships within Hashan (for another fee, but a smallish one), and get to marching the rest of the way. At the least you have a few carts with some horse-like animals pulling them along, so you make a decent pace. You don’t really notice much apart from nature itself, leading you to believe that you seriously must be in the backwaters of whatever world you’re in.

And soon enough, you stop by the first city of the United Clans of Cliffcoasts, and you feel a single glorious tear roll down a cheek as you stare down on another human marvel.

In the month or two that the United Clans had to set up the town, they made some incredible progress. Taking to cutting the chalky rock straight out of the Cliffcoasts, and then coating that in what appears to be mud, they’ve already assembled plenty of buildings, many of them two stories, and more than just a handful of three story buildings scattered about the city.

Of course, they don’t have the same advantages you do, which you realize as your nose unconsciously wrinkles beneath your mask and the smell hits you. They do seem to have a primitive system of plumbing, at least in the way of something like a rainwater drainage system, but for all they seem to care it appears to be a catch all. Dralich, riding next to you, appears to notice your discomfort and takes a bit of schadenfreude in it, before you fix your own gaze on him and he flinches backwards.

Eventually, you reach what appears to be the government buildings of the area.

Adjusting your own mask, making sure that your armor is on properly, chuckling as you remember you decided to opt for your legs and body armor, leaving your pasty white arms visible for everyone to see (likely the first time in your life anyone’s been scared by something like that), and you push open the doors.

The noise inside halts as you move to the centre of the room, and by the time you take the last few steps the only sound left is that of your heels hitting and lifting from the floor. They stare at you with a mixture of awe, and fear.

You cough, the gears in your mask shifting slightly at the sound, making it louder, more ambient, like the intrusion was coming from the walls itself. “Gentlemen, it is a pleasure to meet you. I am Rovahkin, to represent those of Roanoke. How may I be of assistance?”

The room stays silent until Dralich enters as well, taking up a stand beside you. One of those in the seats circled around the room stands, saying, “Dralich, I knew you said you’d look for help but this is-”

“This is what we need, Servant Maref,” Dralich interrupts, looking up at you. “We know the power of Rovahkin, what he can do to those who think they can win in a battle against him, and them. He is strong, stronger than magic, and more capable, versatile, and powerful than it by far. Plus, he agreed to help.”

Another one of the so-called Servants stood. “To help? For what? The Rovahkin has a purpose in mind, a nefarious duty that he must carry out. Look at his arms! He is just like the ones we must slay. How can we convince the populace that the Rovahkin wants to help when not too long ago that same creature nearly killed us all?”

Dralich frowned, and turned to me. “You want to say anything?”

>You’re correct in me wanting something. Trade, and possibly further ties.
>I want payment, in way of work and goods. For that, I shall assist.
>I want nothing except to eradicate your enemy.

Alternate punchline, if you didn't use the glitch, is just like your mother, one use and it's useless weight dragging you down.

”If I must, I must tell you,” you turn back to the group itself, “I have absolutely no idea how difficult this fight against...my brethren may be, and I certainly haven’t encountered this type. While I would like trade between our nations, and be happy for ideas and culture to spread too, for now I will ask for no payment, just as I ask you not to expect much from me yet.”

The Servants look back and forth for a moment, their eyes primarily focusing on Dralich himself and Maref, before all nodding in agreement, and sitting back down.

“If that’s so, that calls forward our first action. The elves usually come in the night. Not many, but enough to cause havoc in the outskirts.”

>Then let’s wait for night to come.
>So let’s bring the fight to them

Silence falls at your words. Every single human in the room, including Dralich himself, stares at you in absolute and utter horror.

For a few seconds, you manage to stand against the barrage, before finally muttering, “I...”

“Make peace. With the elves.” Maref clips each word with a little bit of hatred, pure fury apparent in his eyes.

You look back at him, seeing him adjust ever so slightly under your own gaze. “Yes.”

“You would have us try to befriend the creatures that have been killing humans since the dawn of time, not for any particular reason but because those little shitheads have made it a personal vendetta, all for shits and giggles?”

“I don’t know the details-”

Another Servant cuts on. “For the thousands of humans that have died to their hands, the hundreds of thousands that have suffered under their attack, you would have us forget that and extend a hand in friendship? As if it wouldn’t get bitten off instantly.”

“I’d scoff, but I think I’d end up choking over this heresy first,” another voice calls out.

Soon, the glares are followed by the stampede of words, unstoppable, no matter your efforts. Eventually, you just bow and turn to leave the room, only to feel something hit the back of your head.

Turning around, you find it to be a rock. No doubt it would have hurt, if not for the mask.

The room has gone silent again, and has slightly parted away from one particular individual. Who looks angry, but the emotion seems to be fading to sheer terror.

>Let it go. You pushed too fast, too hard.

You allow yourself to turn around fully, the gears clicking as you watch the Servant collapse back into his chair, convinced that death has come for him.

Your head shakes. “If that is how you treat those who suggest peace, then I cannot help but wonder if there may be more reasons for this feud of yours. But still, I have angered you, and I can understand the response. If you ever choose to make the same mistake again, though, I will be less lenient. With all of you.”

The tension leaves the room, only a bit remaining on the offending party and Dralich, who’s still watching you like a hawk, focused on your every movement. It doesn’t seem that he’s convinced. Either way, you need to continue.

“Now, if it does turn out that the elves refuse all diplomacy, all reason, and would rather kill indiscriminately,” you grin, the mask adjusting to show a mess of cogs and wires in its mouth, “then I believe we can more than match them blow for blow.”

The Servants nod, and they all sit back in their chairs, the meeting now concluded. You head outside, ducking through the low doorway and finding a few of your guards waiting for you.

“Take me back to the camp,” you say. “We'll be entertaining tonight."

---

Soon enough, you’re back at the camp that the Rovah have set up. While the tents themselves are certainly mix-match, but all made of materials that you might expect modern tents to be made from. Thus, they’re more waterproof than the buildings in the United Clans’ city, sturdier (in their own way), and capable of keeping a few more people inside as necessary.

The supplies you’ve brought with you are located in the centre of the cluster, with the wagons that they came in on dissembled and put back up in a perimetre around the entire camp, reinforced with packed dirt and sandbags, where a few soldiers stand waiting, guns ready. A few humans from the UCC try to approach, but both the rigid organization of the guards and their intimidating masks push them back.
>>
>>40121151
soooo forcefields? is what you're saying.
>>
>>40121179

Of course, your primary focus is on your own little party that you’re assembling. After all, if you’re going to the elves, you need to make a good impression. That’s why

>you’ve gathered a group of the scariest motherfuckers you have under your control, the ones with the best masks and capable of using the new power-armor you have on hand.
>You’ve just mobilized all your forces. Time to slash and burn till the elves approach.
>the classiest of your army have been sitting outside of your own tent for a while now, waiting. Classy, respectable. Still very capable of killing. Old Man Johnson killed someone with his sword-cane, and that was *before* the event.

Magic differs. The Dorven Spellgineers plan out their magic the same way you might get an engineer laying out the entire deconstruction on a blueprint or as a wireframe in a computer, and then using the paper itself as a medium to bring the magic in and make it real. Suddenly, the symbols that represent power literally become power.

You haven't asked about human magic.

So for the gunhammer, here's what i'm thinking. we enchant it so it doesn't run out of ammo, and rig it so that it can either be set off by a trigger, or goes off automatically when we hit something with it. we will then train with until we are god. damn. terrifying. Have any of you seen RWBY? cause if not, watch it, if so, design it so that it can change forms into a large cannon form, like Rose's scythe.
>>
also, energy sword. works like a lightsaber, is way the fuck scarier.

You know, I was talking with somebody about RWBY a while back. I keep on getting driven off by the animation style. Just seems weird, hasn't attracted me all that much. Despite me watching nearly everything else. Won't touch Boku no Pico though.

I want old man henderson interaction and this seems like a good chance to introduce the character.

Well Lightsabers work because the plasma is in a force containment field. So we come back to the loop of Forcefields Are they possible?
>>
>>40121498
Artemis, what exactly can our power armor do for us? I'm assuming voice changer, enhanced strength, and shoulder-guns. But is there anything else? enhanced speed? drones?
>>40121546
Dude, anything is possible for us, we're magineers, what we need to do is set up a forcefield generator on our Rovahkin armor.
>>
>>40121560
Yeah, i can't really think of how we'd go about doing it other than creating a force spell inside of the hilt that is sorta inverted.

On a side note what about Monomolecular blades instead?
>>
>>40121529
Right, writing for that.

Let's have a look at important characters.

>You. John Erin Perry. Jeppers. Johnerin. Rovahkin. Leader guy person with voices in his head.
>Mary. Once a secretary, now the dictator fair ruler of Roanoke. Takes suggestions from you, of course.
>Michael. Member of the CEA. Power Management expert. Very sad that you guys don't have a fusion core at a time like this.
>Joan. Ex-military design contractor, turned to semi-retired civil engineer. Enjoys the opportunities to make howitzers again.
>Harriete: Another CEA member, a big fan of general architecture and urban planning.
>Richard: Owns more guns than you have ancestors.
>Mitch: Literally and figuratively has green thumbs. Apparently its a skin pigment thing.
>Old Man Johnson. Classiest fucker in town. Actually has cane with rapier inside. One of the people actually meant to say m'lady.
>>
>>40121560
Right now it's the basic hero package. More strength, speed, etc. Voice changer is a yes. You've yet to implement shoulder guns, and other, more exotic things.

>>40121626
I ain't sayin' nothing. But if I were sayin' things, then those things might have a little to do with *these* things.
>>

Goddamn but these certainly are the fanciest schmanciest people you’ve ever met. They’re definitely more charismatic than legitimate (in the cases of the nigerian prince and middle manager, *especially* in the case of the middle manager), but they definitely know what they’re doing when it comes to 1. Being fancy and 2. Being intimidating. They can get the results you want, assuming you want it done mostly diplomatically.

Old Man Johnson is, himself, the leader of the Charlatans (as they’ve taken to calling themselves), kitted out in one of his many, many suits, with a plain white mask with a monocle carved into it over one eye. He takes out a pocket watch (seriously? An actual pocket watch?) before turning to you and bowing slightly. “Ah, just on time, Rovahkin. We’re all ready for the expedition, if you are the same.”

“Indeed,” you agree, slipping on your own mask, that much different from the ones the Charlatans wear. “So, shall we go?”

Old Man Johnson stares around at the camp before nodding, letting himself roll on the balls of his feet, a warm up for the path ahead. “Yes, let’s go.”

Old Man Johnson pauses his skipping for a half second, his cane comically sticking out in front of him to prevent falling from his current fourty-degree angle from the ground. “Shall we have a song to march to?”

You shrug. “If you can find a good one.”

“Right then! Come on, comrades, let’s pick up a tune!”

The tune gets picked up by most of the Charlatans, leaving yourself to just enjoy the flow of the music as you continue to walk through the forest. For the most part the Charlatans manage to avoid tripping or making too much noise apart from the singing itself, which seems rather impressive till you realize that Old Man Johnson definitely served (you would not be surprised to learn that it was in World War Two, some eighty odd years ago now), and several others seem to have served in the other wars since then.

And now, the boys are back together, trotting through the woods in their suits and such, and whether they have a cane similar to Johnson’s or just a rifle to lean on, they keep up the pace just as you do, advancing further and further into the dark forest.

Soon enough, the only source of light is that from your own party, with the leaves growing so thick overhead that nothing escapes. Johnson changes his tune, and the boys continue to follow, and you follow them all, watching the entire group, staying close enough so you won’t just get snatched.

Soon enough, you come across a large clearing (still no break in the trees above), where two tall beings stand in the centre of the grassy expanse, just a bit taller than you. And just a bit shorter than Johnson.

>Walk forth and greet the beings
>Let Johnson handle it
>Wait for them to initiate contact

Johnson, at your nod, steps forth from the group, approaching the two figures. About two metres away from each of them, he stands, holding the cane out in front of him, almost like a medieval warrior would rest their hands on the hilt of a sword buried into the ground. Actually, incredibly similar, now that you think about the other purpose of the sword.

“Hello. I am Johnson, here to represent the Rovahkin. We wish to speak to whoever leads you.” as opposed to before, Johnson’s voice is smooth, calm, only the rustiness barely audible showing his age and other dispositions.

The two beings shift in the wind, waving back and forth, but otherwise do nothing.

Johnson sighs, wiping away at a drop of sweat on his forehead, before beginning to turn away, just as the two beings leap towards him.

You instantly take a few steps forward even as the beings jump towards Johnson, but he only laughs and sweeps around in a full circle, his sword already out and ready. You recognize more than a few layers of paper ensorcelling the weapon, leading you to wonder exactly when and where he had time to enchant a weapon to that extent, before you see the beauty that is a master at work.

With the lightweight blade, incredibly similar to a rapier, Johnson jumps back from the beings, and then moves forward once again, blade quickly jabbing out and puncturing one of the throats of his assailants. Before he can turn to the other, though, you close in.

While your arms aren’t covered by armor, they are at least hooked up by the wrist and elbow to give you a little bit more strength, and your first punch connects solidly. Next up you jump as high as you can in the air, and as the being watches you, you drive back down into it, the armored leg shattering its body under your weight.

Soon, the only sound is Johnson’s target trying to pull air through the spontaneous tracheotomy it had received.

“Good job,” you comment, wiping off your hands on the grass. “Very smooth, very fast.”

Johnson grins, swinging his sword out in a dramatic swipe to clean off the blood before returning it to his sheathe. “You too. Efficient, if not pretty.”

“Indeed,” says another voice, the sarcasm and wryness apparent. “Definitely top notch. Very good indeed.”

You all turn to face the new voice, just to find another one of the beings waiting for you.

“Who might you be?” you venture.

“I am Elron, the master of the elves in this forest,” he replies, almost casually.

>If that’s so, I’d like to propose an agreement.

“I would not call you my friends.”

“Nor I you,” you grin, “but that’s beside the point. We came here to discuss a possible opportunity. If you refuse, and continue to go against our wishes, we’ll kill all of you and burn your homes to the ground. Elron finally shakes his head. “Nope. Can’t do that. I can tell you’re humans, no matter how...different you smell. So for now,” his pale form, similar to you, quickly stretches like taffy into a long legged, long armed monster with a face with eyes too large and small, off-balance, and a mouth that grinned far too wide for how small it was, opens itself to say, “I get to kill all of you.”

“Thanks, but no thanks,” you counter, preparing yourself as the beast lunges towards you. Johnson steps up next to you, and within seconds the elf is destroyed.

Until it just happens to be absorbed into the shadows again.

“We are the darkness,” one voice whispers in your ear.

“Where there is shade, we tread.” the voice flies around to go between both your ears. Johnson swats at it, slightly annoyed.

“We shall consume you-”

“Alright, get the fuck on with it, I’ve got a blade that wants blood,” interrupts Johnson, the sword and scabbard in his hands both held at the ready.

The voice pauses, and chuckles.

“So be it.”

And you start to see more forms step out of the shadows, the things of nightmares, tall irregular humanoids that had no similarities, no conformities apart from the same insane smile, the same wild expression.

You and the Charlatans back up against each other, each at the ready, weapons in hand, prepared to take on the incoming threat.

Even as the king himself fades back into the darkness, the other elves rush forwards, ready to get a piece of the newcomers. The Charlatans all lift their rfles, bayonets at the ready, and face off against the charge. You and Johnson both take one side, and face off against the approaching horde.

Within a few seconds, the loud blast of rifles fills the air, and elves go down, *hard*. Several have some parts of them straight up dissolve, and the large flash seems to scald more than a few, even from this distance.

Your own set of elves approach, and you grab your pistol and put two bullets through their heads, then flipping it around and driving the grip through another’s skull. It’s in moments like these that you realize you might need more than a little help, but to be honest it’s been nothing but helpful in this new world of yours, so why change now?

Johnson came to that realization even back on earth, and his cane-blade is jumping out to puncture necks and sever heads from their bodies, never moving more than a pace from his original position.

Finally, the elves have fallen dead. You notice that they are dissolving into the shadows, and have no doubts about whether you’ve won yet.

>Retreat, bring bigger guns next time

>Retreat, bring bigger guns next time
I believe it's time for a tactical retreat, we're going to need to bring some flamers with our army.
>>
>>40127490
Then I guess I'm writing for this one!
>>
>>40127458

You frown, and kick one leg away from you into the shadows, where it disappears within a second. “Alright then, gentlemen, I believe it’s time for us to leave this place. Let’s get back to camp, and next time around we can bring the big guns.”

They all nod, and you make your way back through the path you took, a few Charlatans commiserating in a lack of any good and civilized person to talk to (just things to kill), and soon enough you’re back in front of your camp.

You give the run down to everyone, and they themselves get to work preparing the heavy artillery for tonight. You’ll be needing it, if the elves decide to attack again.

As the camp takes care of defense, a messenger approaches you, and hands you a letter.

---

Dear Dovahkin,

Just sent a letter right after you left to confirm that we’ve put the new orders into action. First of all, we got a marketplace set up, just next to the train station. It’s a huge success. Several of the Rovah are starting their own little stalls and selling off either whatever they could find in their attics or making some new stuff for the dorves to buy. Either way, the dorves certainly are buying it. We’ve got quite a flow of gold coming in.

Next up, Ogma and Yggdrasil (how about those names, eh?) are collaborating on increasing efficiency in farming and removing any sources of inefficiency. We just got a hospital set up where the clinic used to be, and with some help from the dorves I think we might be able to get it fully stocked, at least with magical equivalents of whatever we can’t get right now. The CEA will probably figure out how to build a MRI scanner before the end of the month, with only paper mache to do it.
>>
>>40127983

After that, the new irrigation systems for farming are going pretty well, and now we’ve got a dedicated coast for farming. We’ve taken to asking the dorves whether or not we would be able to farm on top of their land, but they claim that they would need to waterproof it first, so they don’t suffer from wet soil dripping on their heads (or the ground itself, to be fair).

And finally, the refinery coop between the CEA and the dorves is finally finished. Now, we can actually get some bar stock out of whatever minerals and metals that the dorves are bringing up from below (by hand, can you believe that? They haven’t built an elevator yet).

Oh, also, the dorves wanted to say that the Noros-Soros celebrations are only two weeks off, and would REALLY like some assistance with that.

Right, Noros Soros is confirmed with 3. Stock Hospital confirmed with 3. Research weaponry confirmed with 4.

You have two more AP to use. think which you'd like most.

Can the CEA strat building that Fusion core?
>>
>>40128465
Welcome!

>>40128479
Nope. Or, at the least, incredibly unlikely. You wouldn't have been able to build the warehouse either, had you chosen the Reactor as the starting bonus. Sure, you could get a building, but not all those lathes and injection molders and such.
>>
>>40128507
I'm guessing that's the

option, either that or it's a mech.
dammit now we need to find out.

It's so tempting, isn't it?

Guys, is it weird that I want to artificially expand our island so much that it covers most of the lake?
>>
>>40128712
also, have the dwarves just kinda gotten used to us pulling fantastic bullshit out of nowhere, like the train?
>>
>>40128712
Not really but I'm more concerned about wrapping up the elves. Lets get some napalm on the research list with Mortars and incendiary grenades first.

After sending back the letter, you turn to your own troops. Tonight is going to be the first night that you’ll be defending from the elves. Let’s see what they’ve got.

---

It’s a few hours later, and the Rovah are now surrounding the city of the United Clans, all facing outwards and ready to take on the siege. The other humans who lived in the outskirts have all moved inwards to the center, leaving you the remaining buildings to set up as you please.

Which you do.

All buildings are connected using a system of bridges and such, so you have a wide network allowing each squad to send off runners (from the human population) as necessary, and can keep moving ammunition from the reserves up to the front lines. The gatling guns are all waiting and ready, each with a squad ready to load and start firing when the time comes.

The howitzers are a few buildings back, set up in some of the squares that seem to be placed between the inner city and the outskirts or slums. From there, the howitzers can keep over the much shorter outskirt buildings from a point on top of the taller, wealthier infrastructure, raining hell down upon those that attempt to take the city.

Of course, you also...

>Have a full Dorven berserker complement. For fun.
>are going to be on the front lines with the first power-armor suits.
>have the assistance of the Dorven riflemen, who can act on the front lines
>Have some fun magical spells for later.

>>40129376

>>

>>40129433
>>40129417
>>40129400

You guys finish up voting, then roll 1d100 for the result.

I just need to drive a family member somewhere.

...have some fun spells. And seeing the elves start to emerge from the forest in front of you, it’s likely that it’ll be used quite soon.

As the elves approach, some of the longer ranged squad’s (like Harriete’s Angels) start throwing lead downrange and through the invaders, sending them crushing to the ground. Soon enough they’re getting back up again, the shadows of the night making it remarkably easy for them to keep on coming. For every one that dies, the same one will rise again, acting as its own reinforcement.

Soon enough, they’re just within the range of the normal rifles, and the gatling guns themselves. They start tearing through the crowd, and the bright flashes that keep on popping from the gatling gun provide a little light on the scene, making it even harder for the creatures to get back up again.

And then that’s when...

>you use the howitzers. Pound the ground, no mercy.
>Use the spell. LET THERE BE-
>Offer them a chance at surrender. A true gentlemen.
>Join the fight yourself. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GODS.
>>
>>40130380
>Offer them a chance at surrender. A true gentlemen.
and if that fails.
>Join the fight yourself. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GODS.
>Use the spell. LET THERE BE-
>>
>>40130380
>Use the spell. LET THERE BE-
seems like the best way to stop them from regenerating
>>
>>40130448
eh. sure.
>>
>>40130380
>Use the spell. LET THERE BE-

No surrender. They had their chance, they are literally the big bad here.
>>
>>40130380
>>you use the howitzers. Pound the ground, no mercy.

Fuck I just realized we could have used flares instead of a spell to light up the night.
>>
>>40130548
You left road flares back at Roanoke.

>>
>>40130654
You have no military flares, but you may have a few rescue flares.

Back at Roanoke.
Writing for LET THERE BE.
>>
>>40130591
so no fireworks at home fuck you would think we would have a great display for the holidays ? we should make fire works
>>
>>40130721
Fireworks? Oh, you have a shed full of those.
>>
>>40130380

You raise your hand. In response, the team of dorves standing next to you all launch the giant ass paper planes they have in their hands into the air. They quickly make it to the top of their parabola, and then unravel, turning to face the Elves. And then, everything lights up.

The elves all scream in pain at the light, and you notice more of them dissolving now, not just into a white powder like usual but inverted, an ash that drifted away from them, to fall to the ground, inactive.

The gun crews take advantage of this, and keep on firing.

Soon enough, the entire field is full of dead elves, with none left except your own troops.

Welp. That worked.

You turn back to face the humans you are watching, and you bow to them. “I am the Rovahkin, and I have delivered upon my promise.”

And slowly, slowly, the humans start to clap, until you are drowning in the applause. Dralich comes up to you, and raises your hand above your head, shouting, “Rovahkin!”

“Rovahkin!”

“ROVAHKIN!”"
