You drop into a defensive stance, inviting Gohan to attack.

He accepts, rushing forward and attacking with a fat and powerful series of punches and kicks which you barely manage to defend yourself from. He soon manages to land a kick to your jaw, and throws a punch that sends you sliding to the very edge of the ring.

You duck beneath a kick that would have knocked you out of bound, and leap up, slamming your fist into his cheek, then shooting him in the side with an energy wave. As he slides across the ring, you pursue, picturing in your mind a wolf running alongside you.

"WOLF FANG FIST!"

You attack Gohan with a savage series of punches and clawtrikes. He tries to defend, but focuses on an afterimage, allowing you to attack from the side and catch him off-guard. He soon recovers and knocks your legs out from under you before sending you flying across the ring with a kick to the chest.

Spinning in the air, you land on your feet and block a kick aimed at your face. The two of you exchange a few more attacks before Gohan leaps back towards the center of the ring, preparing for the next bout.

You slowly step forward, making your way towards the center of the ring before dropping back into a defensive stance.

As Gohan advances, you raise your hand above your head, capturing sunlight in the palm of your hand. Gohan stops dead in his tracks, smirking at you.

"I see what you're doing, good thing I'm not an idiot!" he shouts, firing a powerful barrage of energy blasts directly at you.

As you deflect the attacks, you throw the Flashbang at Gohan, who simply shields his eyes. While you fail to disorient Gohan, you do manage to halt his attack, and take the opportunity to rush forward, attacking Gohan with everything you have.

He manages to block your first punch, but staggers back as your knee connects with his jaw. Landing, you spin and throw a kick at his gut. He catches your ankle and spins, throwing you into the air before raising his hands over his head.

"MASENKO, HA!" he shouts, firing a golden wave of energy up at you.

Locking onto Gohan's energy, you teleport behind your friend and throw a chop. But, Gohan drops forward, and your chop cuts through open air as he springs from his hands and kicks back at you with both feet, hitting you in the chin and sending you flying through the air and over the edge of the ring.

You recover before you touch the ground, but Gohan is upon you at once, forcing you into a retreat with a series of lighting-fast strikes that leaves you struggling to mount a defense. You eventually manage to counter his assault with a punch that slams into his cheek, but Gohan answers with a powerful kick that sends you high into the air and further from the ring.

As you recover, you see an energy blast screaming through the sky towards you, and throw one of your own to meet it. The two blasts collide and detonate, creating a cloud of smoke that obscures Gohan from your vision.

An energy wave cuts through the cloud, and you quickly move to the side, narrowly avoiding being hit. A yell catches your attention, and you look up to see Gohan rapidly plummeting towards you, readying his fists to slam into your skull. Quickly locking onto his energy, you teleport before he has the chance to reach you, and appear behind him, landing a powerful kick to his back and sending him towards the ground far from the arena.

He halts himself before touching the ground, and you throw an energy blast to knock him down the last few feet. He spins and knocks it away before firing a wave of energy up at you.

You quickly move back, then dive beneath another wave, landing at the edge of the ring. Gohan rises higher into the air, gathering energy for more attacks.

You rise into the air, firing a barrage of energy blasts down into the cloud. While unleashing your barrage, you throw in a few flashbangs in an effort to disorient Gohan. Then, locking onto his energy, you teleport to him in the cloud, slamming your elbow into his cheek before spinning and punching him in the gut. Gohan answers with a headbutt, then sends you crashing to the ground with a strong kick.

You roll backward to avoid the energy blasts he sends down after you, and leap back into the air before firing a Kamehameha Wave that knocks him out of the cloud. Changing its direction, you begin to slowly push Gohan from the ring.

With a yell and a surge of energy, Gohan knocks the energy beam away before charging at you. You meet him head on, and the two of you enter another furious exchange of punches and kicks. You duck and parry, punch and block, kick and dodge, while your opponent does the very same thing. The tiles beneath you begin to crack as shockwaves are sent out every time one of you stops an attack from the other.

You grab Gohan by his shoulders, and he grabs you by yours. You bring up your right knee just as he brings up his, the two strikes stopping each other. You switch knees and try again, with the same results. The two of you rise into the air, trying to knee each other, before finally settling on a headbutt.

You both release your grips and move back as you rub your heads, then look back at each other and prepare for the next exchange.

Raising your left hand and pointing with your index finger, you begin unleashing Dodon Rays upon your friend. When you add your right hand into the mix, Gohan is left struggling to defend himself, and begins floating lower to the ground.

You lock onto his energy signature and teleport in front of him, slamming your knee into his jaw and sending him flying across the ring at staggering speed. You rush after him, intending to knock him to the ground soon after, but Gohan kicks you with both legs, sending you spinning as you ascend into the sky.

Righting yourself and looking down, you see that Gohan has gathered is energy, and cupped his hands at his side.

The blast strikes Gohan. And, unable to mount a proper defense due to being caught off guard and busy fueling his own attack, the attack proves decisive. In seconds, Gohan is knocked from the ring, crashing to the ground out of bounds.

"Winner, Kaguya!" the announcer calls. "Next match, Krillin vs Mira!"

You and Gohan make your way back into the waiting area, and you glance over at Spopovich and Yamu, who seem to be watching the match with great interest. Their focus does not appear to be on Krillin, thankfully. But, for whatever reason, they are staring at Mira.

I honestly never understood what was going through supreme Kai's head right now. If he found babidi before buu was released he could kill him and be done. If yamu and spopovich got away with anyone's energy, buu would be released ASAP. More importantly, if buu was released he would be the easiest thing in the world to find.
So he literally wanted babidi to succeed to save time. He swapped everyone from a slim chance of heading off the coming disaster to no chance for no other reason than that it was the FASTEST possible way to fuck up absolutely EVERYTHING. He must have just thought he was being clever or something.

"No, Krillin is not the one they are after," the Supreme Kai replies. "I am unsure of the reason for their apparent interest in this match, but he is not their target. Still, keep an eye on them."

"Begin!" the announcer calls.

A glow surrounds Krillin, and he splits himself in two, then four, then eight.

"The multiform technique?" Piccolo asks.

"What's he thinking? He knows the drawbacks of that technique," Tien comments.

"Really?" Mira asks Krillin in disbelief. "Your energy was just split over eight forms. Not one of you has the power to so much as touch me."

The Krillins surround Mira, then all charge as one. A glow surrounds seven, who then vanish, restoring the true Krillin to his full power, and letting his attack catch Mira off-guard. Krillin throws a kick that knocks Mira off his feet, and sends the large warrior flying across the ring.

Krillin gathers his energy, and unleashes it in a massive wave that shoots across the ring after Mira before being redirected into the sky, then diving down to strike Mira in the gut and push him towards the ground out of bounds.

Mira yells, straining with all his might and pushing the blast back onto the sky just before he would have hit the ground. He floats up and lands back in the ring, glaring at Krillin.

"Not bad," he admits. "You caught me off-guard, and nearly won the match. But, I'm afraid you won't get so lucky a second time."

As Mira steps forward, Krillin cups his hands, gathering energy for a Kamehameha Wave. Mira stops his approach, copying the gesture and gathering his own energy.

The two warriors unleash their attacks at once, and their beams shoot across the ring before colliding in the center. You feel each fighter raise their power as they struggle against once another, vying for dominance in a battle that is just as much about will as it is strength.

The two are evenly matched for a time. But, slowly, Krillin begins to gain the upper hand, pushing Mira's blast back towards its sender, who grinds his teeth and struggles to keep his foe's attack at bay.

It proves to be in vain, however, and Krillin succeeds in striking Mira with his attack. The blast pushes the massive fighter across the ring and to the very edge, where it finally stops. Mira falls to one knee, breathing heavily as Krillin slowly advances.

Yelling in frustration, Mira rises and begins to gather energy before falling to his knees and grabbing his head. He yells again, but this tie, it's in agony. You can feel his power begin to rise, and grow somehow darker, if that was possible.

"Uh...are you okay?" Krillin asks in confusion, stopping his approach as Mira cries out in pain.

"I'm not sure what's going on, but Mira appears to be in a great deal of pain!" the announcer tells the confused crowd. "Perhaps Krillin's technique did more damage than it first appeared!"

I haven't seen Dragonball, and only part of z, so I'm not sure exactly how the move worked in canon. I know it drains your life force, but I thought mutaito only died due to using it while injured.
Though I guess it probably doesn't matter if this is babidi's work. It might be tough to prove that Towa is helping out in these matches, but if a satanic brand appears on Mira's forehead, it should cast enough doubt on his legitimacy as a fighter to have the match suspended if we tell the ref about it. Then we can just dogpile him.

"Does anyone know what's happening?" you ask the others as Mira continues to writhe in pain, his power growing by the second.

"I have no idea, but he's gotten a lot stronger!" Goku tells you.

"And he's showing no sign of stopping!" Piccolo adds.

The ground around Mira shakes, and red lightning flashes all around him. Krillin steps forward, only to be thrown back by a tendril of energy that explodes from Mira as he rises back to his feet, clutching his head and screaming louder.

"Krillin, end the match now!" you shout to your friend.

He nods, putting back one foot and cupping his hands again. "KAMEHAMEHA!!!!!"

A massive blue beam of energy explodes from Krillin's palms, striking Mira full force in a great explosion that shakes the entire stadium, sending several spectators into a panic.

When the smoke clears, however, Mira is entirely unharmed. His screams have died, and his power has risen to a frightening level. And, upon closer inspection, he appears to have an M on his chest, much like the ones Spopovich and Yamu display on their foreheads.

He takes a step towards Krillin, who instinctively steps back.

You don't know what exactly it is that you're about to fight, so you decide to err on the side of caution, dropping into a defensive stance and waiting for your opponent to attack.

Mira does not disappoint you. He gathers energy and throws it at you in a powerful blast. You let out a yell, stopping the attack and, straining with effort, push it back into the sky.

As you catch your breath, you see that Mira is smirking, giving you the idea that his attack took a lot less out of him than it did out of you.

He rushes across the ring, and you immediately retreat into the air. He gives chase, quickly reaching you and throwing a punch you evade by leaning back, kicking him in the face with both feet and knocking him back. You fire an energy wave that he swats aside with no effort, and drop back into a defensive stance as he rushes forward.

A mighty punch knocks your arm away, and his other hand seizes you by the face like he did to Cell. His hand glows, and your face is scorched by energy. As you scream into his palm from the agony, Mira throws you towards the ground outside of the ring.

You save yourself by teleporting above him at the last second, and kicking him in the back of the head. The strike sends him plummeting towards the ground, but he quickly stops himself, turning to face you and gathering his energy as he cups his hands at his side, gathering a large amount of power for his next attack

He vanishes, appearing behind you and blasting you in the back, scorching your skin and sending you screaming towards the arena floor. You stop yourself and flip over, firing a Kamehameha Wave that pushes him high into the sky.

You land back inside of the ring, and Mira lands across from you, scorches covering his skin and suit. His expression tells you that he's quite angry now, and that, if he has his way, you're about to be in for a world of hurt.

Mira gathers his energy as he steps forward.

This has gone on long enough. You are not going to lose to Mira, and you are not going to just let him take your energy for whatever purpose he's seeking to fulfill.

You let out a yell, and just let it go. All of your power comes rushing to the surface. The ground shakes beneath you, and sparks fly as your aura turns the same blue as your Kamehameha.

As Mira marches towards you, you march toward him, the two of you meeting in the center of the ring, standing face to face, and each pulling back your hands to punch.

You catch Mira's punch, and he catches yours. The two of you push against each other, struggling to overpower one another, but, ultimately, it is you who succeeds, pushing Mira back and sending him sliding across the ring with a mighty kick.

Lowering your leg, you slowly stroll towards your foe, who gathers his energy and fires a massive wave of it at you. Gathering your own energy, you form a shell around yourself, protecting you from most of the attack. You can sense that Mira is holding back. He wants you alive. And, if he wants to handicap himself, you'll gladly take that advantage.

You reach Mira and punch him in the face. He answers with a pair of punchers that you easily parry, and a kick that you duck beneath. Rising, you uppercut him, then send him sliding to the very edge of the ring with a palmstrike to the chest.

"Mira has been forced to the edge of the ring!" the announcer calls. "Kaguya's next move could mean the end of the match!"

Mira growls. "The match is over!"

A gust of wind blows you back as Mira thrusts his hand towards you. An explosion rocks the waiting area, and a hole appears in the wall.

Spopovich and Yamu emerge, surrounded by a familiar dark energy that you recognize as Towa's. Your friends, who appear to have been trying to attack them, fight against some sort of invisible restraints.

You leap to your feet, slamming your fist into Mira's jaw, elbowing him in the cheek, kneeing him in the gut, and firing the most powerful energy blast you can muster to knock him away.

Mira does, in fact, fall from the ring in the face of your blast, crashing to the ground out of bounds. And, as your attack barrels towards the audience, you redirect it, curving it around to attack Bojack, who simply avoids it before gathering his own energy into a green ball of light and firing it down at you.

With a yell, you swat it into the sky, glancing over to find Mira rushing to attack you. You move back to avoid his first punch, then duck beneath the kick that follows. Leaping back, you deflect another attack from Bojack before an energy beam from Mira strikes you in the gut, throwing you to the ground outside of the ring.

You refuse to go down, and leap back to your feet, yelling in rage and strain as you block two mighty energy attacks from your two foes. With a flare of energy, you throw the attacks back into the sky before shooting into the air, crashing into Bojack and punching him hard enough to knock out a few of his teeth.

You spin and deflect a beam sent up by Mira, and answer with an energy blast of your own, spinning again and Kicking Bojack in the face as he tries to attack you again.

As you prepare to pummel Bojack, you suddenly find a blade at your throat. Looking up, you see Kogu scowling down at you.

"I wouldn't if I were you, boy," he growls.

Seizing his sword, you break off part of the blade before shooting Kogu into the sky with a wave of energy.

You glance down at your friends, then realize that you can't even really sense their energy. The reason they've successfully been restrained suddenly clicks. Their powers have been sapped.

And you know only one person who can do that.

Bojack rushes towards you, seizing your shoulders and plummeting towards the ground with you.

I'm pretty sure Mira could curb stomp Babadi, and Towa could restrain Dabura from interfering while it happens. No, I'm pretty sure they're either working together consensually or Babadi has been Villianized.

As you near the floor of the ring, you flip, and Bojack crashes on his back, releasing his hold on you.

You leap back into the air to avoid a blast from Kogu, and glance over to see Bido throwing a red ball of energy down at you. Swatting it aside, you feel the air being knocked from your lungs as Mira brings his fist into your gut. You answer with an elbow to his nose, only to receive a blast to the back courtesy of Kogu.

Mira slams his fist into your gut, and Bido gets you in a full Nelson from behind.

"Give up," Mira demands. "It's over."

Why is it that when there's tension in a regular story I'm actually excited, but when Som does it I just get pissed off? The fact that Mira's power works however and at whatever level is necessary, up to and including disabling the entire cast at will just means that this entire arc was meaningless. We could just have easily have timeskipped to Buu's revival with minimal gains like always.
