Here's hoping your game goes well Anon!
>>
>>40089810
You play it with us, OP tells us what's going on and we react and build a civilization.
>>
>>40089810
The game should be very straightforward... It's turn-based, every 'turn' I start with giving an overview of what you have and where you are. Then give you several basic options such as Gather food, Research, Magic, Explore and such.
In the beginning you pick a civilization and a location to start with, each has its bonusses and penalties (and culture if I'm inspired enough to think it up)
>>
>>40089810
Just wait for OP, most Civs heavily depend on the OP but most is just self explanatory.

You are the first to awaken Suleth, strong leader of the Yeti, strongest of your people. You were scavenging for food with your tribe when a massive snowstorm hit, so cold it pierced right through your skin, which froze all of you in place.

As you awaken you quickly gather what is left of your tribe to wake them up and dig some holes in the snow for shelter.

Looking around you see only snowy plains and dunes.

After having set up a little shelter, you notice that the hunting grounds are very different than you remember, and you don't even have the slightest idea how much time has passed. This makes you send out over half of your tribe to go scouting the area, to find what they can get.

After a while they come back with new information, and a little food which they have managed to scavenge, which is mostly roots and some grasses.

To the north past the dunes are larger hills, they seem to have steep cliffs, but our powerful arms let us climb them quite easily, showing that on the first hill are some goats which ran as soon as they saw us, there also seemed to be a river heading east from the hills. To the east the land slowly heads down to the sea just like you remember, with a sandy beach. The sea is frozen, which before you were frozen in only happened in winter, but you do not know if that has changed. To the south the snowy plains of the tundra gradually grow more lush untill eventually there are even some trees and other signs of vegitation, all of which do not seem to have their leaves. To the west the scenery grew ever boring as they seemed to be stuck in in plains and dunes for as far as they could see for now.

Hearing about the goats and the river you decide it must be better to move your tribe to the hills, it is a little bit of trouble which you believe to be worth it.

During your travels you find one member of your tribe just thawed. You pick her up to add to your tribe and continue. (+1f Yeti)

As you arrive on the hill you find a goat staring right at you. Another one quickly jumps to one of your tribe members and rams them only to run away quickly. Seeing this you jump after the ram and crush its head with your fists. It is time for these goats to learn that you are the new owners of this hill.

>>
>>40091947
My vote goes to exploring to find shelter/building materials
>>
>>40092276
>>40091998
You see your tribe no longer has any shelter, so you quickly send people to explore for a cave or something similar, while having the rest collect anything that could be used to make shelter.

To your north the hills continue, rising in steep ledges only to end up at a barren mountain top. To the east the river flows down the hill and towards the sea, near the shore one of your tribesmembers is certain to have seen a small humanoid, no taller than your hip with a greybrown skin and long pointy ears (a goblin), but it ran away quickly as it noticed being watched. Down the hill also seem to be patches of forest. To the west the hills rise too, slightly more gradually along with the river.

Eventually while throughly exploring westward you find a cave and start to explore its inside. It seems large enough to house your entire tribe as it is quite tall and wide so you call the tribe to take shelter in here for now. Continuing deeper into the cave with a few of your tribesmembers you land upon a large metal door. Though as you don't see any way to open it, it would be more apropriate to call it a plug or seal.

Feeling that the door should be left alone you do so, but since you're still worried you make sure to have at least two members of your tribe guard it at all times, just to be safe.

Looking over the bones of the puny goats you find that even though they break fast if you hold them, others in your tribe find them to be quite durable and flexible. Hearing this you tell the smartest Yeti in your tribe: the shaman, to put some effort into it. After some time they report back to mention that they made tools out of the bones and whatever stones they could find around. Tools like stone and bone axes, picks and even darts are now available to you and your tribe. Though your only problems now is that there are very few goats that let themselves be captured, and that their bones are so small.

We need to investigate these goblins, send scouting party equipped with axes to defend themselves if it goes south. Don't wait for them to come to us.

>smart yeti is named Guzek
>>
>>40093065
Sorry for missing out I had some errands to run

I am okay with Guzek

Also supporting to Explore and investigate goblins
>>
Trusting on the word of one of your scouts you decide to organise an investigation party, leading it yourself to make sure it goes well. Those not coming along are sent to scout more, and Guzek tells you that he plans to do a ritual so your people may prosper in this place, as the traditions speak that he should.

While walking downstream the scout that told you about the creature starts talking in more detail about how the it had very greedy eyes, and that it seemed strange, maybe even having a strange aura, which he thought to see as flames. After a while your party of thirty Yeti (including yourself) reaches reaches the patch of fores, and immediately your fur starts changing colour to fit in more naturally and the search begins.

After hours of searching your group finds an encampment of the creatures, they live in wooden huts and tents amongst the trees further north from the patch of forest. Observing for a while you can see that they number easily five times your current group, and at least three times that of your entire tribe. All of the goblins which you have seen seem very hungry, excited and in a hurry for... You have no idea what, they might just be running all the time.

Sorry I am here, I name the scout: Mekarr

Leave them alone. Go back home and rest after the migration.

Here I would go for diplomacy but since Yeti have the "Menacing" and "Barbaric" negative traits I do not think this is a good idea. But maybe we can force a surrender if all else fails.

Probably it is best to go home and prepare for a goblin hunt soon. Since we have "Elusive" positive trait it is best to strike at night later.
>>
>>40093994
I agree, Night time guerilla raids are probably the way to go, especially since goblins are not about diplomacy either
>>
>>40094093
Also hoping it is possible to loot resource/technology from goblins.
>>
You return to your home to find that Guzek has finished the ritual and your people immediately feel more at home. You share the information and Guzek confirms that they are indeed goblins. Mentioning that you want to prepare a night raid Guzek warns you that goblins can see in the dark just as well, or even better than we can, and given the size their group there is a large possibility that they are led by more than one fire mage or shaman, and that they would be our priority to kill if we decide to fight them.

Research/Build some animal pens and then go on the hunt for some goats to capture. We'll need a good bit for future food and bone tools.
>>

I support this
>>
>>40094209
Hmmm... that is concerning maybe a night raid not that good of an idea. Although we do have the stealth bonus that is nothing to sneeze at.

For now I say gather food to be well fed for the goblin hunt.

My ideas for plan :
They seemed hungry meaning they might be weakened right now which would probably call for an attack.

Or we could wait for them to go hunting for food and while the hunters are away then strike while weakened.

Or wait until they return with their game and then strike when they are busy and distracted. This can allow us to take them out and take their game.
>>
>>40094347
This
>>
>>40094383
We could leavea scout or two around the goblin camp. Whenever they send out a party (hopefully including a shaman) we can take out the smaller group.
>>
>>40094383
Could we try to kill off hunting parties they send out? we have the stealth bonus to sneak up on them and though they'd be well armed, we have a huge 1-on-1 combat advantage against smaller groups of goblins
>>
>>40094432
>>40094439
We definitely need to keep an eye on them an all out attack is probably not good. We have the "menacing" trait to cause fear but goblins also have the "too dumb to be afraid" trait which cancels out ours.

I would go with the "hunting the hunters" idea.
>>

Writing out both 'Tame the goats' and 'Hunt the hunters', please give me a bit
>>
>>40094383
lets get some gobbos killed and loot their stuff and game this should give us an easy acess to food and an idea which tech-level their at
>>
Guzek is finally sick of having to run after goats every time he wants a meal, so he and a few others decide to catch them, which starts out with a lot of trouble and some small injuries, but after some time they manage to capture two and tame them enough that they can be guided and called... They still jump out of whatever cages or pens we make for them though, but they seem to find it acceptable to sleep there.

Mekarr notes them being hungry, and reasons they have to go out to hunt often, he requests you to set up hunting parties to play 'hunt the hunter'. You think this sounds like the best of fun and agree, thinking that your camouflage will help. You gather three groups of twelve yeti, led by yourself, Mekarr and Guzek, and make way to patrol and hunt in the large area around the goblin base, taking care to pick off smaller groups and groups far away from others, and looking out to find a group with a shaman to ambush.

Your tactic works marvelously, your team quickly finds a group without even being detected, ten goblins stand completely surprised as you give the sign to your squad to jump in. You leap into their squad leader and crush him completely with the force of impact, causing the entire group of goblins to focus on you. In that moment the rest of your squad jumps them, leaving the floor covered only with goblin blood. Guzek's squad has a similar story, except they were spotted just before they gave the signal but the result was the same. Guzek even managed to leave one alive. unconcious and stuck in the ground untill his head they killed seven goblins.

Mekarr's squad did just as well as you did in staying hidden, but met a slightly larger force of fifteen goblins who were better armed to boot, though it was mostly bark and hide clothing, and spears with sharp pieces of metal rather than rocks attached to them. The fight went horrible compared to yours, three of ours injured, one of which heavily, and is being taken care of by Guzek and Mekarr. And the worst part is they had let one escape, as he managed to get too close to the goblin camp while being chased, the goblins are probably aware of you now.

What do we do?

>>
>>40095538

>>
>>40095737
We have 3 groups of 12, and killed 30. We have 3 injured, one heavily. We have a goblin thats alive right? I don't think interrogating him is going to do any good, language barrier and what not.

From the past post it's estimated that there's 150 goblins, we've killed 30 of them. Assuming half are women, if they send out all the men to attack, we're looking at a party of 45 goblins. Probably with some fire shaman's as well.

I say we set a trap.
>>
>>40095854
That's probably our best shot, especially if we can get in close before they realize what's happening
>>
>>40095854
It is just as this anon says, just to give you some meta knowledge, Goblins don't really care for their children and are only pregnant for two months of nests averaging three, so you can assume over half the women aren't pregnant, and thus are ready for combat.

I'm waiting for a last vote, you can take the weapons regardless, but their spears are about the size of our tool handles.

Mekarr and Guzek make the call to set a trap, and your troops quickly get to work digging holes and collecting rocks. You put some larger rocks in the trees so they will fall if you kick it, and you put some of the spears in the holes and cover the holes with sticks, dirt and whatever leaves and foliage you can find. Your troops split up into two groops, one smaller group which digs itself in to jump out on your call, the rest grabs rocks which are are a nice throwing size and hides untill you shout.

You wait, and wait, and wait... And eventually you hear and see goblins coming, the front ones walking straight towards one of the pit traps. They fall and the back line is confused. Mekarr takes the initiative and takes a few to sneak around the back, as the goblins move forward, more cautiously than before. Mekarr and his group start throwing stones, the first few crushing skulls, one of them hitting a goblin wearing a robe, knocking her out. This your sign for the battle to start, you roar and throw the two large stones you have, almost the size of boulders which you can barely hold in one hand, one at the nearest group of goblins, the other at a tree which they stand under, triggering the rocks to fall. You jump in in the cover of stone throwing as the yeti who have thrown their stones follow. You roar a second time and as you do the buried yeti unburrow and start to attack as well.

The goblins are mainly confused who to attack as they feel like you are coming from all sides. One of the three robed goblins is knocked out, the other two start slinging fireballs in your direction, even hitting their allies in the confusion. Because of this the goblins just start attacking whatever yeti is most nearby, only teaming up two to one rather than three.

(Continued)
>>
The battle proceeds smashingly, especially by you Suleth, strongest of the Yeti, crusher of goblin bones, wielder of the boulder of blood. You have killed almost twenty goblins, more than any of your kind. Mekarr managed to hit six with stones, and Guzek made the trees throw the boulders on another six, crushing them.

Eventually the battle ends, your victory is definite, ten goblins seem unconcious, over seventy dead, only one of their mages left alive and held by the one arm he still has left. But not only the goblins have taken casualties, five yeti are injured, three of which heavily burnt, and one with a spear still stuck in his thigh, you know almost certain that those hurt will not survive. There are others with small injuries but nothing noteworthy.

Session end, can I ask someone to archive this for a different time. I don't know when, but probably some time after the weekend I'll be on again.
I can say I at least enjoyed myself, I hope you did too.
