The best way to combat your enemy is to know them almost as well as you know yourself.

Considering your family is your greatest enemy, mostly, that's a notion you're very familiar with.

Putting on a pot of that terrible liquid known as coffe, because you know damn well you're going to be here for quite a bit of time, you get to work.

It's a bit of a miracle that you make any process at all really, considering you have no direct line to the Emperium network.

Through some back networking, a favor called in to someone you thought died fifteen years ago, and a minor migrane, you think you've managed to actually get into the Emperium network.

Space Christ this thing is a mess.

You really are going to be here for a while...

The amount of useless junk data you had to shift through in the past few hours is absolutely astounding.

Quite frankly most of what you've gotten at the moment is jibberish, but from what you manage to decipher, the Emperium didn't send a bunch of grunts for this.

High ranking powerful officers.

And you get to fight them.

Neat.

Deciding you might a well continue on with the information you've already found, you end up comming Jenkins.

He's informed you that no other major communications have happened, and everything's running well on the ship.

Since that's the case, you order him to start gathering as much information as possible on the planets that were attacked by the Emperium.

He said he'll have a report on your desk within the hour with as much information that he can gather on the planets, if they were actually worth anything, etc.

Good man that Jenkins

Digging through more data, you've managed to narrow down the code names of the five commanders that have evidently come along to PTO space on the behalf of the emperium

When someone has codenames like these, they're either completely full of themselves, or very, very dangerous.

You're willing to bet on the later.

The majority of these names might be fairly self-explanatory in what their abilities might consist of, but The Fisherman, that's a strange one.

It takes more work yet again to actually pull up any relevant data on the commander, but from what you do find, it's somewhat disturbing really.

Evidently he's been known to just straight up burst weaker foes with a clench of his hand, their blood, more specifically, the water within it, to implode.

Stronger enemies results in an incredible amount of pain as liquid twists and contorts within their body.

Rumors also state that the Fisherman might have the ability to make himself temporary invulnerable by phasing his body to become liquid as well.

Scary stuff here.

This one will require a lot of strategy if you're going to take him on head to head.

So far as you can tell, The Priest and The Knight seem to be a pair that always work together, rather fitting considering the names you have to admit.

More digging reveals that The Knight is supposed to be the soldier that is most loyal to the Emperor, magic or insanity must be at work, because evidently no matter how much damage The Knight takes, he perseveres onwards.

The Priest is a well suited counterpart, his powers evidently allowing for the complete reversal of any wound taken by a target, you're unsure if this involves time manipulation, or is a more 'normal' sort of healing.

Since the two work together, it's rather concerning that you may have to fight them alone, if Vegeta isn't able to reach the level necessary to provide proper backup against them.

Your mind immediately goes to how to properly deal with the pair if you have time to set it up.

Focus on the Priest first, there's no data regarding his combat capabilities, so he might rely on the Knight for protection.

Failing that, complete destruction of the Knight, even an insane will and healing magic can't repair that.

Then you remember the Dragon Balls.

The Hunter is your next priority target, and the information regarding this one is rather concerning as well.

As the name would imply, The Hunter has a penchant for tracking down the most dangerous game that the Universe has to offer.

His command ship is filled to the brim with various trophies of the beasts that he's slaughtered, along with nearly every sort of weapon imaginable.

The part of the this profile that's actually the thing that freaks you out is that he seems to have somehow managed to bind the spirits of the dead beasts to himself.

When fighting an actual foe, or taking over a planet, he unleashes the souls, that's what you're calling it at least, of all the deceased beasts.

Fighting under his command, they trample, gore, and destroy anything that might threaten the one that had originally killed them

Continuing on searching for information regarding The Pilgrim, your heart skips a beat.

There's nothing.

Not a single speck of information regarding The Pilgrim or his abilities.

Someone either scrubbed the databanks clean in fear that someone like you would do this, or they never recorded it to begin with

Freaking out about all of that right now isn't going to help you.

There's going to be a data trail on The Pilgrim somewhere, you're certain of it, it's just a matter of digging deep enough to find it.

You're starting to feel hungry though, and it's about the time that Jenkins said that he'd have the reports ready for you.

Pushing yourself away from your desk, you stand up and crack your back, too much work and you die.

Making your way along the ship you soon find yourself in the work area of your second in command.

"Ah, Master Arctus, Sir." Jenkins noticed your entrance and immediately stood to salute, waving him down, you inform him that you were curious if he had finished his research yet.

"Apologies Sir, not quite done just yet, but... my initial findings seem to support that all of the planets taken so far weren't incredibly important strategically."

Clarifing his point, Jenkins informs you that while all of the planets had several mines on them for the operation of obtaining the rare metals contained within, it's his personal theory that the planets were just taken to be used as a staging area.

For what, he couldn't quite say, but a larger scale invasion might be more likely.

The reports themselves will be taken to your room when it's all finished, for now, it's food time.

The rest of the crew knows as well, after your declaration of a big feast tonight, everyone's ready to dig in, and drinks are already being passed around.

Damn you love your crew.

Eating, drinking, and merry making are on the agenda for tonight, and after you've had your fill of all of it with the crew, they start to disappate back to their duties, or head to bed.

You might be relying on Jenkins a bit much right now, but he's used to it really, so when you call to inform him that you'd also like a list of mercenary forces that are in the area that mmight be able to help out, he's happy to oblige.

With all of that taken care of for the moment, you've noticed that Vegeta had only stuck around long enough to grab some more food before vanishing away to where ever she currently is.

The gym/training area is your first stop, and it prooves to be the correct one, as you can see the Princess is currently training once again, she's determined to get stronger and kill Frieza.

When you step in alongside her, she only gives you a brief nod a grunt of acknowledgement, finishing up her set of manuevers before landing and taking a drink of water and brushing her hair to the side.

The armor is gone for now, leaving her in just the bodysuit that she wears under it, it looks like she's been going at it rather hard with how sweaty she is.

"Together. Physical power today. We can outlast Frieza but if we can't leave a dent, we're still in trouble."

Giving a nod of agreement, Vegeta slips down into the stance you expect of her, it's a little odd, so far as you're concerned, but it works well for her.

Following suit into your own opening stance, the pair of you square off, getting a feel for Vegeta's current strength and lowering yourself to something that's manageable for the Princess, but still a challenge.

Charging at each other, you and Vegeta once again start this dance that you've begun to start enjoying quite a bit.

Vegeta is brutal in combat, she might lack the pure finesse of a technical figher like Piccolo, but she definately hits above her weight level, and her speed is nothing to laugh at either.

I'm not being cocky. He may be a decent fighter, but Arctus is a better one, because he practiced and, more importantly, learned stuff from others. He has trained, so he can leverage his PL around better than someone who just throws a big PL around.

It's like doing exercise with proper form, it makes it easier, more efficient, and hurt a little less afterwards.

And I didn't suggest trying to toy with him, if he doesn't go max power right away, I fully expect us, and I will vote for it, to tear his head off immediately.

That being said, I don't want to settle for having a lower PL than him.

He has to see fear in someone stronger than himself.

This training session is a little more brutal than the other's you've had with Vegeta, it's all about trying to hit as hard as possible after all.

You're both hurting by the end of it, and when the session is finally called between the two of you, it seems like even Vegeta is ready to stop for the night.

After consuming some water to refresh yourselves, Vegeta is relaxing next to you as you both stare up at the stars through the top of the chamber.

It's clear glass, or at least looks like it, but you'd have to actually put some effort to destroy it, still though you wonder why such a thing was put in the training area of all places.

You've informed her what you've learned of the Emperium, and even though she's much weaker than you are, seems to relish the chance to test herself against foes that are so dangerous.

It's the saiyan blood after all, something like that will probably keep popping up for as long as you stick aroud Vegeta.

The silence is nice for a change, it's a way to simply enjoy the fact that you're actually taking steps to put you on the proper path to deal with Frieza.

Vegeta seems to be enjoying the silence as well, perhaps it's a bit of a time of reflection for her. You at the very least consider her to be a compatriot when it comes to the topic of revenge.

Both of your races were wiped out by Frieza, and both of you hate him more than anything else in the universe, the simple fact that you're working towards a common goal is pretty great.

Still though, as nice as the silence is, you did want to broach the topic of the Emperium forces, see if she had any ideas that might help when it comes to dealing with them.

For the Fisherman, heat is probably the key, a Supernova, or a similar type of attack might be the key, if he can transform himself into water. Evaporate the bastard as he is.

The Hunter might be less of a threat to the pair of you, and more to the men. Dealing with the Commander himself is a priority so that the beasts aren't allowed to run wild for too long and thin out any others that you might bring along.

For the Knight and the Priest, she agrees with your plan for immediate removal of the Priest, or complete destruction of the Knight.

Obviously she can't really offer much advice on the Pilgrim.

It's not really her area of expertise, but Vegeta does give the suggestion to make sure that the ship isn't being tapped into.

Be it from the Cold Family, or somehow the Emperium themselves.

She raises a good point.

It seems she's starting to respect you more and more

Can we check if we can requisition any warships or naval fighting assets? While the PTO probably relies on Ki powered soldiers to exit the ship and fight, it might not hurt to have a battleship that can scour the surface of a planet with capital weapons.

Maybe see if not-Nappa or Geets is up for training troops we get so they can fight better as a unit.

Over the time period that you've spent on the way to the planets that were attacked by the Emperium, you and Vegeta have trained incredibly hard together.

Your new power level is a whopping 669,000. More than Frieza's base form, something that you feel incredibly astounded by.

If you got the jump on him right now, you could kill the bastard, since he always travels around in the weaker form.

It's not enough though, if you're going to do this, you have to be strong enough to take out the entire Cold family at once.

Cooler and Cold have more tricks up their sleeves than you know about, which is why it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to the topic of Familicide.

Vegeta is frustrated that her growth seems to have tampered out a little bit, but you're rather confident that if she can manage to break the 100k marker, that will push her over the edge and open up new heights.

One step at a time.

While most of his time has been spent with Jenkins, acting as your general, Nappa has joined in as well from time to time. Raising his power level to a solid twenty thousand.

Speaking of Jenkins and Nappa, while the Ginyu Force is currently on deployment for Frieza doing some special assignment, Jenkins was able to requisition some additional firepower.

Several frigates have joined your forces, allowing you to at least have a bit of force behind your punches if it comes down to a true space battle.

You can breath in space though.

Might be interesting to see how that plays out.

You've spent most of your free time, that is, when you aren't working or training with Vegeta, by planning with Nappa and Jenkins

The two have very different ideas, but by combining their thoughts together into something that's a good mix of aggressive and reserved, you've got a pretty decent battle plan laid out.

Depending on if the enemy produces ground troops, you and Vegeta will lead the ground battles.

Possibly just the two of you.

Maybe bringing along soldiers if it's a real army down there.

The two of you can't afford to be exhausted by the time an enemy commander shows up, else this will all have been for naut.

When you haven't been planning with those two, you've actually spent a bit of your free time with Vegeta herself.

Turns out the Princess of Saiyans is a fan of literature, and you've managed to discuss a few of the books you've both read over the years.

Not a bad drinking partner either, but she's not up to Bulma's level when it comes to that, just yet.

When the time has come, and you've arrived at the area that was attacked, it's now or never to figure out your next move.

>death is a possibility.

What the fuck can kill and Arcosian?

I mean, Cooler and Frieza for sure didn't have any blood in their bodies at one point.

Floating through space after being cut in half then exploded does that, and being only a head thrown into a star also does that.

You can't be certain about the power levels of each of the commanders, but as far as pure abilities go, the Hunter is likely the least dangerous one.

To you at least.

You lack any sort of information regarding the current location of The Hunter, but now that you're close enough to Emperium space, you've managed to work a bit of hacking magic and tapped into their communications.

It seems that he's closeby, much closer than you would have originally expected for one of the Commanders to be, perhaps he's acting as sort of a rear guad for the rest of the Emperium.

That means he's either incredibly strong, or just there to buy time for the others, you're not entirely sure which might be worse.

You can get to his location very quickly if you chose to.

"All ships, fire at will! Leave nothing standing!" You order over the commanders frequency on your scouter.

Immediately afterwards, you raise your right hand, fingertips pointed upwards.

This fucker thinks he can take your planets, and kill YOUR people?

Think again asshole.

"Tequila Sunrise! Choke on it bastard!"

With the attack having charged up much quicker than it normally did, while the ships around you are pouring out lasers towards the vessel, you've tossed your own attack as well.

No ships in the Universe could stand up to this sort of barrage, and it's shields have already fallen, flames pouring out, only to be sucked away by the vacuum of space.

As the attack gets closer, something you probably should have expected happens.

What seems to be thousands upon thousands of ghostly spirits pour out from the ship, directly into your attack, seemingly trying to push it back away from the ship, and they're succeeding at that.

Fine, if he wants to play like this, you're willing to play hardball as well.

Cupping your hands to your side, you start to mutter the words for the attack you learned on Earth.

"KamehameHA!" No time to charge it to the max, you need results and you need them now.

Should probably also come up with a diffferent name for this.

As the blue wave of energy is pouring out from your hands, it impact with the Tequila Sunrise you unleashed earlier.

The attack is slowly being pushed further back, consuming the spirits of the animals that are resisting you.

"Galick Gun... FIRE!"

Your head snaps back to look behind you.

Vegeta is wearing a respirator mask, and is combining her attack with yours, the Blue and Purple attacks coming together and mixing into one.

With the combined power of you and Vegeta, the spirits are being decimated, and the Tequila Sunrise gets incredibly close to the Hunter's ship before exploding.

The results are gruesome to say the least.

A good seventy percent has been destroyed, and the ship is obviously not going anywhere.

"You destroyed my trophies... I'll take your head as the start of my new collection, snake."

A voice comes in over your scouter.

It seems The Hunter is ready to fight after all.

>C. Tell all ships to retreat

"Thank you, I appreciate the backup." You say back to Vegeta, getting a brief nod from the Princess.

She's with you on this, and you're fairly certain if you said to retreat she'd tell you to fuck off.

"All ships start to retreat. Vegeta and I will engage the Enemy ourselves, it's too dangerous for you to remain in the vicinity. Continue fire on the ship if you can while retreating."

You order the men, the ship below you starting to drift away from the wreckage of the Hunter's ship.

Zooming in on the Hunter from a distance, you can practically feel his rage at you for destroying his ship and men.

With Vegeta at your side, the two of you race towards the power level you can sense ahead of you.

He's strong.

You're better.
