You get up and march over to the television, finding what it is that everyone is so concerned about.

Once more, King Piccolo and Piano are on the television, the former looking rather peeved about something. You can't hear any frightened cameramen this time, and are unsure whether to take that as a good sign or not.

"People of Earth, I bring you greetings once again," King Piccolo begins. "As you know, I intended to destroy West City today, in honor of the holiday celebrating my reign. You may be interested to hear, however, that I am granting a stay of execution to the city."

He frowns, leaning back in his throne. "There is, however, a catch. You see, I am currently seeking a multitude of dissidents who have decided to stand against me. The cowards are currently in hiding, and I want them found."

He smirks. "Of course, I wouldn't ask you to search for these miscreants without reward. Anyone who gives me information pointing to one or more of the fools I am looking for will be spared. They will be considered under my protection, and exempt from participation in King Piccolo Day festivities. Anyone who delivers one of my targets to me will receive the same reward, and the protection of the city of their choice. So, if someone from West City delivers me one of the fools I seek, they can have their city spared. On the other hand, for every day I am not given one of the fighters I'm looking for, I will destroy an entire district. Good hunting."

The announcement ends, switching to a news report detailing the evacuation of West City.

Also, just some thinking I've been doing:

King Piccolo got his immortality from the lesser set of Dragon Balls, and his incredible retroactive power boost from the Black Star Dragon Balls. Since the power boost is from a more powerful set of Dragon Balls, I wonder if it it be possible for the wish from the BSDBs override the one made on the Earth Dragonballs?

Alternatively, I wonder if KP only has the power boost if he's fighting on Earth.

You feel a strange energy outside of the shrine, one that feels somewhat familiar by this point.

Leaving the others behind to discuss what they just saw, you make your way outside, looking around until you spot a blue skinned woman with pointy ears hovering in the sky above you.

That seems like a really bad deal.

There's precedence that time travel sends you to alternate dimensions and stuff. If Towa sends us to an AU where KP's immortality has worn off, we're effectively providing data for her in exchange for doing nothing for everyone here. Native Universe KP wins in that case and so does Towa.

Also, we kinda want to kill KP as soon as possible so that he doesn't wreak a lot of havoc on Earth or whatever. Sending us into the future where he can be killed? That could be millions of years into the future, or possibly at some point in time where the laws of the universe are starting to unravel because of entropy. That doesn't help us that much either, to say nothing of how everyone's going to be worried sick to death wondering where Kags ran off to during this crisis.

You explain the deal that you've been offered, and that you wanted to come and speak to them before making a decision.

"Are you sure you can trust this woman?" Bulma asks.

"Going away for a whole year?" Videl asks. "What about the rest of us?"

"I say do it," Goku tells you. "We need to win this battle, and we need every advantage that we can get to do it."

"Were it me, I'd jump straight to the battle," Vegeta says. "Sitting around doing nothing is pointless. If this woman has given you the chance to finish this, then get it over with and be done already."

"I'm not so sure she can be trusted," Tien cautions.

"Me neither," Yamcha agrees.

"I say do it!" Billy tells you.

"It's risky, but it might be our best shot," Krillin concedes.

"Go for it, if we die, you'll be around to wish us back, at least," Haya tells you.

"It puts you out of danger for a year," your mother comments. "That sounds good to me."

Towa's time travel is unusual. It's suggested that she can actually go forward and backwards down the same timeline in DBOnline and Xenoverse.

Goku grins, giving you a nod of affirmation. The others assure you that they will be fine, and you make your way back out of the shrine, finding Towa hovering in the air, looking down at you expectantly.

"So, have you come to a decision?" she asks.

You tell her that you've accepted her offer, and the woman smiles, lowering herself to the ground once again and approaching you.

"Wonderful," she tells you, waving the staff she carries in the air at her side.

A black, swirling sphere appears in front of you, and Towa confidently steps into it, vanishing from sight. You can't sense her either, and therefore reach the conclusion that this thing will indeed transport you elsewhere.

Taking a deep breath, you follow Towa.

You arrive on a world that has seen better days. The forest that was once all around you is now burnt to the ground. You see nothing but ash everywhere you look. And, you can sense only a few of your friends.

A red mist swirls through the sky, and matching lightning streaks above you. At your side, Towa smirks at you.

"Good luck," she says with a wink before vanishing once again.

You take a moment to get your bearings on this new Earth, and soon do what you came here to do. Feeling for energy, you soon locate King Piccolo. And, it seems he isn't alone, as you feel several other power levels with him, all radiating the same sort of dark energy.

"Is anyone else still alive?" you ask.

"I hope so," Gohan tells you.

"We just got back," Goku explains. "If any of the others survived, they're in hiding. When we left, they were all fine, though."

"What are those power levels I'm sensing?" you ask, looking in the direction of King Piccolo's power.

"Probably more of his goons," Vegeta guesses. "They should die as easily as the others."

"Well then, anyone want to come with me?" you ask. "He brought friends, I might as well do the same."

Goku smiles, transforming into a Super Saiyan. Gohan nods, gathering his energy, and transforming into an Ascended Super Saiyan with a yell. Vegeta does the same, and both Seventeen and Kazuma tell you that they're in.

You and your friends take to the sky, flying towards King Piccolo with all of the speed that you can muster. You end up consequently leaving Seventeen in the dust as you race approach your destination.

Several of the smaller powers you sense rush to intercept you and your friends, but are swiftly cut down. Dozens of the monsters are slaughtered by simple energy blasts from you alone, and countless others are slain nearly as easily by your friends.

Then, your real target appears.

King Piccolo hovers above you, arms crossed as he stares down, a smirk on his face as he glances between you and your friends.

"So, you fools have returned," he comments in an amused tone. "I was wondering when you'd come out of hiding. Your little hit and run tactics against my children were not what I would have expected, but I knew you'd come out of hiding eventually."

"Piccolo, you're going to pay for everything you've done!" Gohan tells the demon king.

"I don't think so, boy," King Piccolo replies. "My powers have grown since you cowards last confronted me. None of you have a prayer now."

"You're still outnumbered!" Kazuma points out.

"Am I?" King Piccolo asks.

King Piccolo laughs. "Is that right? Well, hotshot, I have an opponent in mind for you."

A large lump appears in King Piccolo's throat, moving up until it is regurgitated by the Demon King. A colossal egg falls to the ground, shattering to reveal an ugly green creature.

"Arise, Drum, and be reborn!" King Piccolo commands, and the creature obeys.

It is large and muscular, with no wings, and a fairly small head. It moves rather quickly, however, rising into the air to appear in front of Vegeta.

Drum laughs, cracking his knuckles, and Vegeta scoffs.

"You really believe this disgusting green blob will even warm me up?" Vegeta asks in disbelief.

King Piccolo, however, ignores the Saiyan Prince, keeping his focus on you.

You rapidly descend to the ground, and Piccolo attacks at once, firing a blast of energy down at you.

You knock the blast away, incinerating one of his cronies as it shoots towards the atmosphere, but find the action surprisingly difficult. Looking up, you find King Piccolo right on top of you, and leap back to evade a mighty punch that creates a massive crater in the ground.

As you move back, trying to put distance between yourself and your foe, his arm extends towards you, stretching far from its body in an effort to seize you.

Holding out your right arm, you begin gathering energy for a Destructo Sword, but a blast of energy erupts from Piccolo's palm before you can finish, striking you in the chest and throwing you onto your back.

Piccolo's arm retracts at he leaps at you, the hand clenching into a fist that comes hammering down at your face. You manage to stop the punch by grabbing his wrist at the last moment, and give a strong pull, bringing Piccolo in and allowing you to kick him in the jaw.

Releasing his hand, you fire an energy wave that strikes him in the chest and sends him rocketing into the air. Yelling in frustration, Piccolo frees himself from the blast and gathers energy, sending a hail of small blasts plummeting towards you.

You gather every last bit of power your possess, even the tiniest bit of energy that isn't absolutely necessary for you to survive, and turn it into fuel, causing your power to skyrocket, and your blast to overwhelm King Piccolo's,

Your beam pushes King Piccolo's back, and soon consumes the Demon King, who screams as bit by bit, he is burnt away by your attack, torn apart and incinerated by your power, leaving nothing of him behind.

As your foe fades from existence, you fade from consciousness, your vision going black as you fall to the ground, out cold.

When you wake, it is to the faces of your friends. Everyone is in high spirits, and the process of rebuilding soon begins.

After regathering the Black Star Balls, resurrecting Shenron, and making use of the Namekian Balls, Earth and its inhabitants are restored. Nappa, Piccolo, Tien, and Master Roshi, who met their ends at the hands of King Piccolo, are revived.

For the next few years, there is peace on Earth. You and Gohan are given internships at Capsule Corporation, helping come up with ideas for new projects, and assisting the Briefs family with their work.

Kazuma goes away to a private school in South City. He keeps in contact, but seems to be largely done with training and fighting.

Krillin and Eighteen have gotten married, and even had a daughter. You also hear that Seventeen got married as well.

You've enjoyed the years of peace.

Drake shoots into the air, the blasts colliding beneath her as she rushes up towards you, throwing a trio of punches before following with a kick that you block with your right arm. You knock her back with a punch, and she responds by firing a pair of energy blasts at you.

You move to dodge them both, and she rushes forward, slamming her fist into your gut and proceeding to dodge the punches you throw as a counterattack. Your next kick, however, sends her flying away, and she recovers just in time to be sent plummeting to the ground by another kick.

Flipping in the air, she lands on her feet, breathing heavily as she stares up at you.

Letting out a yell, she leaps back into the air and attacks again.

Sometime later, the two of you return home, both feeling pretty tired from your match. You step inside to find your mother setting the breakfast table, and your father reading the morning paper. Sixteen and Icarus sit quietly, the little Dragon greeting you and your sister with a little growl.

"Kaguya, please tell me you got some sleep," your mother tells you. "I don't want you exhausted during your first day of class."
