All right so, based off of last thread I feel like we all need to have a bit of a sit down today and have a bit of discussion on what direction we might all like to take this.

If at least some of my worries get taken care of properly today, I'll maybe run quest number 4 properly.

I suppose the main issue I wanted to deal with today is. It's pretty obvious that many people don't want to end up as a space lizard version of Kaguya as another Z Fighter

But do people want to straight up be a bad guy in this quest? I know some do, but I'm curious what the overall mindset is.
>>
Does it have to be as clear as good or bad?
>>
>>39878934
Honestly i'd rather see him as neutral, not good per se' but a warlord with his own chunk of the PTO who isn't a complete asshat.
>>
>>39878967
>>39878934
I'd support either this or going full revenge mode on Frieza. Maybe both?
>>
I would like to explore the background of the PTO a bit more and his race.

Not necessarily, I think at least, it all really depends on how we end up taking things, which leads into

>>39878967
>>39879024
The problem with going full revenge mode on Frieza is that you are going to have to be EXTREMELY careful at all points through out it, if it's intended to be resolved through combat.

No witnesses, no remains, no 'paper trail' nothing. Else both King Cold and Cooler will attempt to have your head.

>>39879063
The current plan is to have you go back into space after the Vegeta problem is dealt with, no matter how you choose to deal with it.
>>
I really wish DBZ had explored Friezas race more.
>>
>>39878934
>>39879107
yay SPECIAL
>>
>>39878967
Yeah, I'm fine with this. We don't need to be a 2edgy4u total asshole, but I'd prefer if we weren't another Z-Fighter. Being a benevolent warlord with a piece of the PTO pie is a great idea imo.
>>
>>39878934

I'd be okay with straight up bad guy or neutral but focused on his own goals.

Maybe don't make it so clear cut?
>>
>>39879191
>>39878967
I agree with these two, being a PTO warlord while still being somewhat good sound pretty fun. Building our empire and conquering new planets would be cool as fuck.
>>
>>39879107

We don't have to fight Frieza immediately. We may have already fucked with the timeline enough that Goku might never go to Namek, etc.
>>
>>39879242
>>39879228
>>39879191
isnt this kind of the plan in space monkeys quest too, only with a monkey lady instead of a lizard alcoholic
>>
Personally I want to still appear loyal to the PTO, get a nice portion of the backwoods area to run on our own. And get Frieza and Cooler to go after each other while lending some support to Cooler.
>>
>>39879228
yep. we're space lizard Tony stark. Jenkins is our Rhodes. We can turn Earth into a capitol for our Empire and reap the benefits of capsule corp tech and inventiveness. PTO tech given to humanity through capsule corp and they know we gave it to them? We become CEO of earth.

At that point we can become Doom at his most Heroic. A benevolent tyrant who will do ANYTHING for his people.
>>
>>39879304
hell, with arcosian self-grown bioarmor we can really be DOOM or BIOIRONMAN.
>>
>>39879304
Nah, we replace King Furry, via popular election.
>>
>>39879107

I would really like to explore the background and culture of the Arcosians too.

Visiting the Homeworld would be really cool.
>>
>>39879242
At the current way things are going, depending on how much Arctus is involved with the Saiyan invasion, Namek may in fact not be a thing.

If that is the case, and shit doesn't go COMPLETELY out of whack, you've got the ability to fight Frieza at your leisure.

A gentle reminder, even though he's only trained for a very short time, Arctus has no idea what his power level currently is. At the start of the quest it was around 200K.

>>39879207
Didn't intend on it being a clear thing. The reaction from the Kami situation yesterday is what prompted me to do this.

The accusation that one conversation with an old slug from a depressed alcoholic that's never actually had anyone to talk to would instantly make him a good person/Z fighter. Instead of just being able to get some shit off his chest he's been carrying for decades.
>>
>>39879304

Benevolent is probably the wrong word since we will cheerfully murder people who fuck with us.
>>
Does Piccolo know our backstory now?
>>
>>39879386

We only cheerfully murder people who refuse to call us benevolent, like all supreme leaders.
>>
>>39879386
I think he meant that we'd be benevolent to the citizens of our little empire. We'd still brutally kill anyone who would threaten us.
>>
>>39879476
We'd brutally kill them in creative ways.
>>
>>39879476
You don't need a trip for this thread friend.
>>
>>39879463
Piccolo won't know everything unless you tell him or he goes to speak to Kami again about it.

The bond between he and Kami doesn't transmit everything.
>>
>>39879511
Nope we're not freiza, we do it as quickly as possible.

On a slightly unrelated note, I've got a fun little idea.

Give me an estimation of what you think Arctus' current power level might be, after the training he did on the way to Earth, and what he did at the end of the last thread.

You might be surprised by the real answer.
>>
>>39879529

I've been giving him a pass because he generally has well thought out posts.
>>
>>39879611

220k? 210k?

I honestly have no fucking idea. Did Frieza even train at all?
>>
>>39879664
Frieza has never trained a day in his life.

As far as Arctus is aware, no Arcosian has aside from him.
>>
>>39879611
our power level is EXACTLY THE SAME, i guess.
>>
>>39879679
Frieza fought with his parents. Isn't that training?
>>
>>39879684
>>39879611
our power level being the same isn't really power. it's some silly chi level thing. we can just get stronger and tougher and more stamina and crank out our bodily attributes.
>>
>>39879611
49,000
As strong as Recoome
I say this because a while ago it was said that Ape Vegeta was close to our power level, however, somebody would have obviously taken notice if his power could become similar or the same to Frieza's elite.

>>
>>39879611
Hmm, if it was 200k at the start, it'd probably be around 300-400k right now?
>>
I would like it if we could get away from canon, atleast for a while. Fight some bad guys away from the main cast, they're already in two other quests right now and there was another big DrBZ quest with them.
>>
>>39879706
A pure fight that is just to test your power isn't the same as training.

>>39879742
This guy>>39879798
Has it right.

Vegeta's last estimated power was around 18K, considering the Zenaki boost saiyans have, that Arctus is aware of, he was concerned that Vegeta might have gotten even stronger, and the Oozaru form would be enough of an increase to kill him if they fought.
>>
>>39879839
But we don't know if it was just to test his power.
>>
>>39879611
450k
>>
>>39879806
Vegeta isn't remotely a threat at this point.

Considering that, are you close in your estimation anon?

Perhaps.
>>
>>39879839
hey Eail, did you only read Kags quest, or do you follow Kabs quest too?
>>
>>39879706
Not really. The odd fight once in a very odd while doesn't constitute as training.
>>
>>39879839
>sparring isn't training cause I said.
>>
>>39879897
Okay, I'm gonna go with 500k. That seems like a reasonable number.
>>
>>39879904
I did not read Space Monkey quest before starting this.

Right now I'm trying to catch up with that when I have time. Maybe some fun stuff could happen there if we play our cards right?
>>

>>
Does Arctus know about removing tails or doesn't he?
>>
>>39879980
Good guess!

There is a method to my madness though.

As far as you know.
>>
>>39880012
Frieza said he had to use his true form once against his parents. One fight is not training. Also considering who we are talking about they probably weren't sparing either.
>>
>>39880079
Currently even with the up to date scouters, Frieza's final form power cannot be reliably estimated.

At the most you are aware that his second form is around 1 million in power if he's allowed to transform.

The 'spar' between Frieza and King Cold was to test just how strong Frieza's final form truly was, as there was no numerical value they could properly assign it.
>>
>>39879706
I doubt it was training, per-say. More...
"Daddy I want that planet."
"Now princess, we've talked about this-"
"I WANT THAT PLANET."
-esque tantrums.

>>39880028
>There is a method to my madness though.
Mind going into detail a bit? Because I've been kinda trying to figure out a... "decent" PL system for something. I've sort of had to math out a leveling system vaguely based on Xenoverse's with comparisons to "canon" power levels, and boy do bullshit numbers just keep going. I'd like a good comparison, if you'd be willing to share.
>>
>>39880150
How did king cold survive?
>>
>>39879957
fun stuff?
are we gonna run into Kabuya or something
i think theyd actually get along, kabuya isnt as much of a boozehound, but she still likes to get crunk every so often
>>
>>39880165
In my thoughts about the system, the more you NEED the power, the easier it is to grow when you train. Perhaps something like that really only works for Saiyans and Super Humans, but it's what I'm currently using for Arctus as well.

The way you train yourself is also very important, how you go about things.

Hint: Arctus does this poorly, yet still gains power faster than you might think right now.

>>39880210
Who ever said that King Cold couldn't transform as well?
>>
>>39880281
Have you ever read the dragon ball multiverse web comic?
>>
>>39880281
Well judging off of Mutant Arcosians, they keep their power under wraps by containing themselves in weaker forms.

MAybe Arctus is actually somewhat similar? He's got a huge amount of latent power and the act of forcing himself through intense training doesn't neccessarily make him stronger but releases some of that potential strength hiding within?
>>
>>39878934
(just dropping one extra opinion for the thread, but gotta run)

IMO, something of a balance for a time would be best.
I.e. we do not dick over the Earthlings. Help them slap off Veggie.
But then go back to PTO workings, building up a powerbase as well as personal power while diplomancing/adventuring through space.
>>
>>39880353
I have, which is why you should be very, VERY, afraid of ever fucking with King Cold unless you instagib him

>>39880358
Smart.

Arctus has many barriers to 'break' before he unlocks his true potential.

Both mental, and physical.

I almost want you to go to Namek, just to see what Guru's power might do to you.

>>39880400
That's the plan right now
>>
>>39878934
As much as I don't want Arctus to end up as another Z Fighter, I don't really want to see him become a Freiza either.

However, I wouldn't mind seeing him take over Frieza's job and become a space warlord of sorts like what many other people in this thread have suggested already.
>>
>>39880150
>Currently even with the up to date scouters, Frieza's final form power cannot be reliably estimated.
This is correct. Frieza's full power was literally off the charts, and no one stupidly said a number after saying it was off the charts. We only get numbers from behind-the-scenes information.
>>
>>39880486
Space Semi-Ethical Capitalist. Is what I want to go for.
>>
>>39880486

I kinda feel the same way. He has little reason to stay around the Earth after his business there is concluded. But at the same time, I don't really see him hunkering down anywhere and building an empire.

Like some other anons have said, I think it'd be more fitting for him to go around having space adventures and building up his power to deal with Frieza as one of his ultimate goals, and occasionally getting called by various members of the PTO to deal with stuff in between major arcs.
>>
>>39880519
Exactly

Arctus is approaching the level at which Vegeta's scouter will not be able to give a reading either.

Vegeta's model of scouter is out of date though, so keep that in mind
>>
>>39880281
That's a fair way to do it, I guess. Need vs. desire has canonically led to massive power boosts in DB, and loads of training based on need and technique have given insane gains.

My system has sort of had to treat "base" PLs like EXP alongside what they are canonically. "Levels" are gained once a certain PL is reached, giving flat stat boosts as well as bonus boosts.

Completely unrelated note, but I can absolutely understand why they were dropped in the manga. Jesus vampire-hunting Christ. You don't want to know what Buu Saga/Battle of Gods Vegetto's maximum power level could have been, based on "research." You also don't want to know how strong Super Saiyan God has to be based on that.
>>
>>39880598
How big is the jamming field our scouter creates?
>>
>>39880452

Becoming a space warlord trying to take over/ bring down the PTO sounds fun.
We could form splinter group of our own crew and use guerrilla warfare against the PTO to weaken it and train our guys.

Put it this way for how much "GM" armor Vegeta has.

Vegeta could end up becoming nothing more than a stain on your boot on the path to greatness, or the most important NPC of this quest.
>>
>>39880757
We should keep him around as our pet monkey. Or what I suggested last thread, incapacitate him, destroy his scouter, then take him back to Cooler and kill him along the way. No evidence of the Dragonballs, and we can feed Cooler a line about how Vegeta wanted to revive his race with necromancy from Earth. We complete the mission, and Frieza and Cooler don't learn about the Dragonballs.
>>
>>39880864

>>39880985

>>39880865
Well thats ominous. But makes the choices clear. we quietly sweep all this (and him and nappa) under a rug.

Or try to recruit him in our bid for greatness. Hell if we play the cards right the dragon balls could restore both races but not likely to happen. He's a greedy SOB through and through. He only listens to frieze due to fear. If we give him a chance at revenge and maybe if he doesn't screw us over a shot at restoring his entire species he could be one of our best fighters.

I guess it depends how well we can sweet talk him into it. He's a bastard but he's smart when he wants to be.

It was. Vegetto was stronger than Super Buu with Gohan absorbed in his base form. As a Super Saiyan he was so strong that even being turned into candy he was stronger than the pink blob.

>>39880856
Conservatively speaking, Super Saiyan 3 Vegetto would have a PL of around 8 trillion. Super Saiyan God Goku, based on how he turns down even the idea of fusion as being useless against Beerus, has a PL of anything from 10 to 60 trillion. Probably higher. Power Levels are bullshit of the highest degree, and I'm glad that they stopped getting used in the manga.

Cooler and Cold will still be alive and unless we go to very extreme lengths we might be in open war with them after gibbing the kitchen accessory.

But if he starts getting shifty and shit afterwards we beam him. We'd have to make it very clear how strong Cooler and Cold is

But all of this won't mean much until we get a feel for his new personality in quest
>>
>>39881187

Kind of tempted, but they only got involved in their questline because of a chance meeting. Even if Arctus met them, I don't see how they'd become relevant characters.
>>
>>39881240
Agreeing. This has been informative, and I'm glad we're all kinda at least trying to set a few ground rules and goals we can sorta agree on.
>>
>>39881316
I can think of easy ways to assure his loyalty. Mainly by taking the time to actually talk with him and include him in the agenda, and giving him an actual chance to train and improve his strength. He's the prince of a dead race and we know about a source of magic power so crazy good he can have a living one again. Thats a powerful bargining chip.

Course doing THAT is another thing entirely. talk about pandoras box!
>>
>>39881194
>Immortality is loaded. Ask Garlic Jr. He's immortal and look at what happened to him.
Nah.
He hoisted himself by his own petard.

For people who are NOT idiots, it goes like this:
1)You are fighting a guy without a Phantom Zone. If youre immortal, he can't kill you even if he's stronger.
2)You are fighting a guy with a Phantom Zone. If he beats you, it doesn't matter if you're immortal or not.

So being immortal is advantageous in case number one, and is not actually disadvantageous in case two.

Although, yeah, it's mostly hax for sayians with zenkai shit.
Arctus could probably wish for something else.

I still think its a bad idea. The sayins arent even that strong baring the super ones and they are all too fight happy to follow orders properly. Vegeta took years and dying to make him not be a huge asshole and he is still a dick.
There are lots of races we can use instead.

He's also a massive egomaniac. He probably drooled at the concept of becoming King some day.

We could give it all back... It would at least get his attention if we wanted to parlay instead of paint him a nice shade of murder across 10 miles of landscape.

>>39881483
Maybe... Its just brainstorming on my end. Vegeta's a wild card in all this.

don't wish for immortality, it doesn't mean we're indestructible or immune to pain. We find someone stronger then us they could just rip us into many pieces and laugh as we twitch in pain unable to die. Wish to become the most powerful being in the universe first and then go for immortality if you still really want it.
>>
>>39881445
If we do kill him or let him go we tell him about how he learned that Raditz was killed by another saiyan and went to recruit him also following a bullshit magic rumor
>>
>>39881441
that's ultimately worthless to us. part of the joy of the best booze is the work and anticipation to get it. id we just have infinite best booze it'sjust. useless.
>>
>>39881444
He had one. He killed him.
>>39881479
The sayins probably take the view of if he died he was weak and deserved to. God knows they are not a clever people.
>>
>>39881509
Fallacy in wording. That would in my eyes say Strongest in the Universe at this point in time. It'd boost our power levels alright but how far? I'd wager just one digit above the most powerful.

Wishes are finicky like that and why you shouldn't rely on them.

When on a revenge quest against tyrants wild cards aren't helpful

Off topic if we get minions what kind of puns are we going to name them after?
>>
>>39881479
Well we could still go about conquering some worlds, particularly militant ones that act hostile towards us, but otherwise maybe we could try to expand the PTO through less violent measures? Trade agreements, technological development, strategic marriages, that kind of shit
>>
>>39881483
The thing about the Saiyans is they are the perfect warrior race

They literally get stronger from surviving.

I expect them to be fucking livid but I also expect Nappa and Vegeta to be able to keep them in control helping them realize what got them fucked in the first place
>>
>>39881469
The perfect wish! No hangovers means we can enjoy booze without regret!
>>
>>39881526
I say leave the magic bullshit out completely less he looks into it himself. Just say Vegeta was trying to build his own army with powerful warriors in non-PTO space to overthrow Freezia.
>>
I get that he hates Frieza, but I'm positive he'll give Cooler a chance to redeem himself since, you know, he's such a cool guy.

garlic jr has shown that the dragonball's immortality is absolutely insanely good. garlic has been shredded and regenerated, vaporized to nothing and regenerated. it's like having a combination of Mr Immortal's power and Wolverine's healing factor at their absolute best.

QUEST NUMBER 4 IS LIVE
>>
>>39881554
In canon yeah bar and a few other than Bardock. Not like they had any reason to be breeding thinkers they were literally soliders only got their tech as gifts and loot. Which is a huge fucking problem

Honestly interested to see how E does them this time
>>
>>39881571
Drinks obviously.
>>39881574
Seeing as their whole business is selling empty planets to someone I doubt that would work.
>>39881587
They are also huge idiots that love slaughtering people. Fuck them. Why dont we just gather an army of whatever recoom is? or whatever bojack is? or our own god damn race, all of whom start way stronger than sayins?
>>
>>39881479

I think Arctus's endgame should be becoming something like the Dominion from DS9. We use diplomacy and negotiation, the implication(occasionally the actual deed) of military conquest if refused, and the protection of our person/armies against outside threats to coerce planets into joining our empire. Once they are part of it, we integrate them as smoothly as possible so we have one unified and assimilated whole
>>
>>39881688
Who the fuck buys planets anyway?
>>
>>39881761
Money Grubbing Clorfors, they'll try to Clorf you out of your money
>>
>>39881875
>Clorfors
