You shrug, facing the many concerned eyes of your Squad, "I'm alright. I just lost focus to my thoughts." And it was the truth. All your brothers has fallen into deep thought these past 3 hours you've been on-board this ship, heading for Kamino, heading home. Joker stopped midway through a joke; Ones stopped lashing out at Joker's stupid jokes during a short period, while Eights withdrew himself quietly for a while. Mute even locked himself on the observation deck for a whole hour. The responsibility of protecting your home isn't what weight down on your shoulders. It's the thought of failing this one time and what it would mean for not only the war effort and the Republic, but also for your other clone brothers across the galaxy that couldn't be there to put their life on the line for your shared home. Kamino is where you were all born, raised and trained. You've experienced pain and joy here, for both good and bad reasons. The ETA to Kamino is 20 minutes.

"While it's all fun and games to be beaten and humilited by our revered Commander, I think it's time to see how a real fight would play out." Joker breaks the silence as he pulls himself up from the soft floor. "Yna Ti versus Commander Four-Five." He announce the next sparring match.

"No, it's alright. I prefer to just sit here and meditate and watch you boys." Yna declines, but she mistakes Joker's announcement as something optional. He and Ones help her up to her feet and push her into the middle of the room.

"You suggested this so we could get some outlet for our pressure and frustration. You need some too, Yna." Joker tease her and he's rewarded with a shy smile from the Jedi knight before she accepts her fate. She disrobes, leaving herself only with the white brown Knight attire and she replaces her lightsaber with a wooden sword.

You nod at her question before you enter your stance, leaping at her only seconds after she too has raised her weapon at you. However, unlike last time, she now deflects and parries your every strike while only taking a step or two backwards, holding her ground firmly. Whenever you try to find a weak spot, she has already covered that part, advancing forward in great stride, forcing you to become defensive against her flurry of blows. However, instead of backing away when she strikes out with her sword, you circle around her as you parry and dodge her every attack. She definitely learned a lot and has become more skilled the time she spent on Coruscant.

Her last blow against you is caught between both of your swords crossed by each other, holding the tip of her blade just above your head. Her movement is fast, almost too fast to register sometimes. It's obvious that she's using the force to her advantage. She might not force push you, but she is enhancing her speed nonetheless. Yna has grown more matured over the month and weeks that she was away from the squad, but she still wants to win against you after her previous loss.

There's a pause in your sparring match when the two of you push away from each other. Both of you walk in a circle, always facing each other and never once breaking eye contact. The second the other loses focus, the match will be over. In a flash, Yna leaps forward, striking at your shoulder, but when you jump backwards to dodge her, she advances forward with great speed, launching a blow towards your side. You parry her attack by a split-second before you move away from her again. She's starting to go on the offensive. She's still as quick as before, but you notice after a few leaps on her end, that she isn't as good at offensive play as she is in her defensive stance. You'll use this against her whenever the opportunity arrives. You still need to find her most frequent weak spot though, and she isn't helping with her extremely fast pace.

However, just as she launches a flurry of blows to try and finish this match once and for all, you finally spot her weak spot; she leaves her left side open to reinforce the force and range of her weapon in her right hand whenever she throws out several strikes at once. After dodging and parrying your way through one flurry of blows, she goes off into another one, forcing you towards the nearby wall. If you don't finish this soon, you'll most certainly lose!

The opening presents itself and you launch your counter-attack! It's now or never!

You press past her when she opens up with another flurry of blows aimed at your chest. With a quick, but forceful, strike aimed at her neck, she falls forward face first into the soft floor. You proceed to kick away her weapon and wait for her to concede. Eventually she rise up on her knees, looking up at the Commando who defeated her once more.

"I guess I still have a lot to learn." She confess before she gets up on her feet again with your help. Whatever thoughts that are hiding behind her smile remains a mystery to you, but for now you'll live with the knowledge that you bested a Jedi Knight in one of the forms of battle that their Order pride themselves in, even if they refuse to admit it. For the next 5 minutes, you go on to explain what Yna did wrong during your sparring match and advise her on how to improve her stance and what she must think about during a fight. She readily accepts your knowledge and takes it to heart. You're certain that if you ever face her again, she'll be almost impossible to beat.

Eventually an alarm message goes out through the ship, informing everyone that you've left hyperspace and are in the Wild space region just outside the outer rim, where Kamino is located. The water planet is orbiting a dying star. Your home.

She shakes her head, declining your offer to help her and reassuring you that she isn't wounded in any way. Good. The ship rocked slightly as it entered a battle with one of the nearby Lucrehulk-class battleship, a capital ship of the Trade Federation. You had your orders and your current objective was simple; equip yourself and get down to engineering for the hell-jump. The ship wasn't able to fly into orbit since it was needed in the space battle, and there was no space-worthy dropship on-board this vessel, so Sierra Squad's going down in to orbit shock trooper style.

After equipping yourself and passing the armory on your way down to engineering, you decide that it's for the best to keep everything you have on you and not replace or add anything new to your arsenal. This setup has worked for 2 months now since Geonosis, with the Verpine Shatter gun added a month ago. They've all proved to be essential and very useful to you. Changing this setup in the face of an operation like this will most certainly spell consequences.

On your way down to engineering, you radio your other commandos to check where they are. Everyone but Yna is down there. An urge to rush off to search for her overwhelms you at first, but you resist it, holding the mission above all else for the moment. If Sierra Squad's not down in Tipoca City in time, horrible things will happen.

However, upon arrival to engineering, you find Yna there with the rest of them. Across the wall there are six modified escape pods that have been engineered just for this purpose. The fact that it only took them 3 hours to do this was a miracle in itself in your opinion. Your respect for the Republic's technicians and engineers has increased immensely. They point out what you're supposed to do once you're inside each pod and how to open them after they've crashed. Apparently you can also manually control the pods descent using its thrusters, and it's recommended due to the storm raging on down on the planet.

It doesn't take long until you find yourself strapped inside your own pod. The controls are simple enough, so you hope things won't turn out for the worse. The technicians did warn all of you that if your pod crash into the sea, you will most certainly die. The Pod door can't be forced open in such sheer water pressure and the air inside of it will eventually run out. it was a horrible thought, but you were certain that today was not the day you or any of your men would die.

"I hope you can swim, Ones." You hear Joker over the comm.

"Shut the fuck up, Joker." The commando replies before you order both of them to cut the chatter.

"This was where we were born. This is where our brothers were born. This is where the continued survival of the Republic was guaranteed and will be determined. This is our home, and I'll be damned if the Separatists defile it. How about you, brothers?!"

"Fuck yeah, Commander!" Joker shouts over the comm followed by cheers from Eights and Ones. Mute remained quiet, but you knew he was more than ready for this. The pod gave way to a hiss as steam escapes its lower part and before you can steady yourself, your pod launch itself out from the Republic ship. The descent down is shaky to say the least and the controls to the pod aren't working either. The engineers worked hard for 3 hours, but you can't expect it to be perfect. You can only hope that it won't crash straight into the raging ocean. A loud scream from the engines fills the pod for a couple of seconds right before the lights inside it start to blink red and then the ball of metal crash at last. Everything goes black.

You open your eyes wearily. From outside the pod you hear blaster fire and explosions along with the rain pouring down hard on the roof of the crashed pod. You strap yourself loose, equip your rifle and click on the button to forcefully open the pod door. The chunk of metal explodes off from the pod and crash against the wall of a familiar building nearby. You leap out from the pod with your rifle at the ready.

Nearby you spot two more pods, both of them still unopened. You've crashed on a platform close to the clone training facility.

"Sierra Squad, do you copy?" You call out to your squad members over the comm. Joker, Ones, Mute, and Eights report in, but Yna remains silent on her end.

"Yna, respond." You press on, the entire team listening in silence to hear if Yna will respond.

"Yna, respond!" You shout into the comm, all manner of thoughts, possibilities, and scenarios filling your head. All of them horrible ones too. Joker is quiet on the other end as well. Have you failed him? Have you broken the promise you made him back on Geonosis?

Just as things look dark, you hear something on the other end from Yna's linked comm.

"Yna? Are you there? Yna, status report."

"H-help m-me." She pleads over the comm in a pained whisper before only stasis can be heard from her end.

Again, that's only possible if you loot it from a dead corpse or from a clanker. Looting from your fellow brothers isn't exactly something that's looked on preferably either. If you can give a good enough reason for it, a jump trooper might give you their jet pack.

I won't disagree. I'm personally an advocated for mounting a rescue immediately, but with addition that we go as a team, or at least (in the case of Joker) accompanied by someone with good situational awareness and an ability to keep their cool.

Aside From Chief and Mute, no one has shown the capacity to keep calm in shit situations. So aside from them, I don't trust anyone else to go it alone, especially when Yna is (most likely) critically injured, or in a tight spot.

I'm not operating under known to Chief (being meta). ARC's might not be asses in the Whiskey version of the Clone Wars, but that first impression wasn't a good sign that such a thing isn't the case.

Remember, jedi have a magical thing called a lightsabre, that we all know definitely can melt through steel beams, she can cut herself out if need be, she also might have a rebreather (isn't that standard jedi gear for some odd reason, ((something about everyone wanting to gas the jedi and start a space war)) plus she has the force to fuck around with to propel her up or keep her breathing, and she can put herself into one of those jedi meditative comas to preserve air (In several books this was used by jedi to extend an hours worth of air into a few days worth.

Alternatively, this is kamino, they better have some fucking form of a submersible craft or that'd just be stupid (you know, we COULD always hijack one of those vehicle droids and order it to search and recover her pod, it'd take it out of the battle and get her back in the several hour to the two day time frame available to her as a jedi.

By the way, if anyone is searching for her actively it should either be us and joker, or eights and joker, I trust eights to act as a secondary commander while we're gone and joker is unarguably the least useful unit in our squad for this mission (splicing specialist with nothing to splice into).

Also under NO circumstances should we enter a long term active line battle, we can flank and break a line and do all that fun stuff, but if we try holding one ourselves we WILL get wounded or killed. Line combat is the number one method of killing a commando squad, it is also why 50% of commando units died on geonosis.
