We destroy the remaining Ork opposition, ridding this planet of the foul infestation.
It is next month and construction on the cathedral has gone underway, leading many civilians in the capital to complain about the noise and disruption in city traffic the construction has caused. Furthermore, your population has grown so large that you are having trouble generating enough food off the fishing industry in your capital. If you do not act soon, people may begin starving. Finally, you have received reports from astronomers of strange lights being seen on the fungal moon of the planet.
>What are our priorities for this month and how shall we solve them? We still have the issue of the data pad and the coolant in the north.
>>
>>39838814
We set about founding another city on the northern continent with the plains which should be more fertile and also help aid us in our extraction of the northern plasma coolant stuff.

anything on that datapad yet?

There is only one option. To the Mun!
>>
>>39838814
Ask the SoBs if they could help us investigate the fungal moon. Expand into the plains for some farms.
>>
>>39838814
Give the datapad to the mechanicus and ecclisiarchy, Expand food production have our family ship auspex the moon.
>>
>>39838977
the northern plain city should mostly be focused on agriculture and stuff. feeding our own planet makes us stronger rather than relying on food imports.
>>
>>39838814
Set about launching a small scouting ship to the other side of the moon. Also begin building a number of small towns along the plains to do large scale farming.

Oh and hand off the data pad to some tight homies to crack.
>>
>>39838814

1. Contact local planetary governors and setup a trade system, someone will want to trade our sea food for real farm good.

2. Develop local agriculture in the meanwhile. Pay people to leave the city and become farmers if we have to.

3. Send a small ship to scout out jungle moon from orbit.

4. Have meeting with Ecclesiarchy and Mechanicus like we discussed in last thread.
>>
>>39838977
We have not yet begun to decipher the datapad, so no
>>
>>39838814
See about having farms set up in the plains. Remind the populace that the temporary sacrifice of their comfort is for the Emperor. Scout the fungal moon and prepare for shenanigans.

You decide to establish a colony in the northern continent with a focus on food production, offering incentives for people to move there. However, many are hesitant, not fully convinced the Ork threat is gone. Furthermore, much of the land has been ravaged by the bombing campaign. While some farms are established, they will only delay, not stop your starvation issues.
Meanwhile, you send a scout ship to the moon... which goes silent as soon as it enters orbital space around it. Scans from your family ship reveal debris from the scout around the moon. It was shot down.
>>
>>39839162
Well shit. You mechanicus da fuq?
>>
>>39839162
Send PDF to help secure and build the new food colony. Also set the moon on fire to kill what ever shot at our scout.
>>
>>39839162
Clearly we needed more space tape. Let's try again, but with something bigger.
>>
>>39839162
Tell everybody to stop making so many babies!
>>
>>39839162
.... you're fucking kidding me. FUCK. we just got that fucking ship. haven't even paid it off yet.

Focus on encouraging these faggots to grow more fucking food I guess. Trading is out of the fucking question, cuz there's something out there that can shoot down fucking starships, either space orkz or the RT.

>>39839216
yeah. definitely have PDF bolster the cities to give them the strong impression of safety. plus we should have regular patrols to make sure the greenskin threat is truly dealt with.
>>
>>39839162
I thought that the ocean had enough fish to feed us for a good while. I guess we should focus on getting farms going so that we don't have starvation slowing down the cathedral building.
>>
>>39839162
Let's try that once more but with a very large angle of movement to that it circles the moon from a huge distance away then go to view the moon.
>>
>>39839264
I'm pretty sure the 'scout ship' isn't the frigate we just got.
>>
>>39839245
How long until our Frigate's ready?
>>
>>39839286
hope not.
>>
>>39839309
It is not. The frigate is not done yet. It still needs another month
>>
The seas are supposed to be "teaming" with seafood. That's partially why we settled our capital on the coast. See if we can increase fishing over a larger area with a bigger fleet.

Also, perhaps we can put a temporary cap on immigration until we have the food situation sorted out.
>>
>>39839331
We only have one city producing food right now for two cities's mouths. That's why we're having this issue.
>>
>>39839345
definitely get a food colony set up then, and see if we can expand the fishing fleet.
>>
>>39839416
Ditto. Especially since between whatever is on the moon and the rogue trader we can't be sure when food will be delivered to the colony.

...Man Captcha is making me hungry.
>>
>>39839245
>>39839272
>>39839277
We decide to keep up support for the 3rd farming city, this time sending a regiment to keep the civilians calm. Meanwhile, we send another scout ship to the moon, but this time keep a wider arc away from it. Once again they are fired upon, but this time the ship is able to dodge and keep from getting shot down long enough to get some scans and return. The ship returns, reporting the existence of humanoid life forms on the planet and technology... non-imperial technology and too advanced for Orks.
This ends this month and thus, the Mechanicus have finished building our frigate.
>>
>>39839469
Well... shit.
>>
>>39839469
Have the the mechanicus made aware of the potential threat, and ask for help in preparing an expedition to clear out the threat on the moon.

>>

>>
>>39839469
Whelp. we're a *planetary* governor, so we don't technically have to do shit about the moon. That being said, we should report this to the Administratum and prepare to invade and destroy this xeno threat. We're gonna need help for this one from the Astra Militarum to blow these fucks away.

In the meantime, lets crack that fucking datapad already. I mean fuck... we've had it for like a year, it should have cracked itself by now.
>>
>>39839469

Bring the mechanicus up to speed with the situation on the moon. We need to draw up plans to cleanse the moon from the could be xenos or mutants.

You decide that the moon situation is beyond what your responsible for and should contact the mechanicus and administratum in order to handle it. You are on your way down to your communication room, flanked by two guards as always, when you are blinded by a flash of bright light. When your vision returns, you are surrounded by figures in strange armor... Eldar Warp Spiders. One of them approaches you. "Mon'keigh leader, we know of your attempts to rid us off the face of the nearby moon. Our seers foresaw it." It says, the voice filled with contempt. "Know that we do not come here with ill intent towards you. Our affairs deal only with the moon of your world, and that is it. We shall leave in short order. However, tell your feeble forces of our arrival, and we will not hesitate to attack your feeble colony."
>How shall we respond? The Eldar say they won't be here long, but it is hard to trust them. Furthermore, if the ecclesarch found out we agreed to let them be, it could cause issues.
>>
>>39839711
ignore these eldar.

DATAPAD. DATAPAD FUCKING NOW!!!!!!
IT HAS BEEN LIKE A YEAR AND I WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S ON IT!!!
>>
>>39839711
Saying it would "cause issues" is putting it mildly.
>>
>>39839711

While I believe the moon falls within out jurisdiction we should act with caution, lets go with the usual protocol. Strengthen our positions on the planet for a possible attack and report the Eldar presence segmentum command. That way we cover our bases and avoid any accusation of dereliction of duty.
>>
>>39839711
Inquire more, Try to find out what the eldar are up to exactly so we could make an informed decision.
>>
>>39839711
I think we're in the mood for the scenic route to the comm room. We have to report this, us and two guards were just confronted by xenos, one of them will talk.
>>
>>39839711
Eldar?

What Eldar?
>>
>>39839711
Then the ecclesiarch WON'T find out.
>>
>>39839711
Tell them that they know full well that we have to report their presence, but can delay a short time under the guise of further investigation. They have several months before the Imperium's navy shows up to remove them. Suggest they hurry along with whatever business they have before they show up and leave soon as we have no desire to have hostile interactions with them.

I think this well balances between not being a heretic and not shirking our duty.
>>
>>39839847

I'm still worried. The guards might talk, and who knows how diplomacy with the Eldar would pan out.

As has been said before, the Eldar exist as enormous dicks. Even if what they are doing on the moon has nothing to do with us, there is absolutely no gaurentee they won't just dick us over when they're finished because of some bullshit "you know too much" or something.

Furthermore, lights on the moon is not exactly subtle. How long will it be until the admech or Ecclesiarchy launch their own investigations.

Also...

WHAT IS ON THAT DAMN DATA PAD
>>
>>39839847
>>39839823
>>39839811
You inform the Eldar that with an ecclesiarch on planet, it would be difficult not to report their presence. However, you can delay doing so under the guise of investigating further and it would take the Imperium months to arrive. The Eldar narrows his eyes. "Very well. But you double cross us, and the next time we teleport into your palace, it will be for your assassination." The warp spiders vanish in another flash of light, leaving you alone.
>What shall our next move be?
>>
>>39839924
I am happy with this result.
I like living.
Datapad. DATAPAD NOW!!!!
>>
>>39839924

>>39839924

You decide decrypting the datapad is the next most necessary thing. After all, the guards with you were from your family personal guards. They're too loyal to you to rat you out to the ecclesiarchy.
>Now, how shall we go about decrypting the datapad? Handle it ourselves or get a third party to help?
>>
>>39840048
Besides the guards who knows about strange happenings on the moon?
-The spaceship and crew that were shot at and survived

It takes a few days, but the mechanicus finally break the encryption on the data-pad, revealing that the contents of the crate in which the data-pad was found belonged to Rogue Trader Roman Diaz, the one we refused to trade with. However, it does not give any confirmation of him trading with the Orks or evidence of heresy, only that the crate belonged to him.
>What shall we do with this information?
>>
I'm still of the opinion that we should, carefully and cautiously, let other agents know what is going on. There are too many loose ends we could easily be accused of heresy or incompetence if this gets out. What place are the Eldar least likely to be able to spy on us? Our Frigate? The Forge?
>>
>>39840308
Nothing for now. By itself this information isn't particularly useful.
>>
>>39840308

>>
>>39840308
welp. we can't blackmail him with it anymore, cuz the mechboys know about it and know we know. if we don't turn it over to the inquisition, then we're in trouble.

This is also useful, cuz we can tell everyone else that we assume the moon enemy is the RT, a now-known heretic. "What Eldar?"
>>
>>39840345
Yes, but let us be extremely cautious. Where are we least likely to be overheard or intercepted? My guess is the Mechanicus forge. Any other thoughts?

On does not simply contact the Inquisition.
>>
>>39840449

Yes... but we have no proof.
>>
>>39840518

Its not Heresy if we report them now, it will still be months before they arrive so its unlikely they will move against us.
>>
>>39840556
Not reporting them is most definitely heresy. it would be cutting a deal with xenos against the imperium
yes they will move against us before aid could arrive. but we simply have to live with that.

one thing we could do is move out of the palace, keep on the move and highly guarded to avoid assassins. while gearing up the colony for war
>>
>>39840518
We don't want the Inquisiton on our ass for any reason. If we're unlucky we'll get a dickish Inquisitor that turns the entire system upside down and purges half the population while he goes about his business.
A Rogue Trader's misplaced Metal Box and Eldar getting high on their moon full of shrooms is not worth going to the Inquisition about.

If you really wanna be a boyscout just report it to the adminustratum and if it's really that serious they'll notify the right people.
>>
>>39840554

Yes, we do. We have the datapad and all our action reports of armed orks with equipment beyond their means. If we add our previews contact with the RT and our disagreement it leads motive and cause to the crime. More than enough reason to report it and leave it at the hands of the Inquisition if they choose to pursue further evidence elsewhere.

>Getting a bit lost under all the people talking back, so let's do an official vote. Respond to this message saying whether we should give our report to the ecclesiarchy or not.
>>
>>39840589

Yes, but if we do that without telling anyone the Eclisarchy and Mechanicus will become suspicious. I think we should send a message to the inquisition saying we have valuable information that may implicate a rogue trader consorting and arming xenos. When the Inquisitor arrives (hopefully they come), we can inform them in their hopefully xeno-proof/secure ship about the Eldar.
>>
>>39840693
we give the report about the RT cargo with the Orcs and our suspicions of his dealings with them to the Ecclessiarchy. We also tell them that we suspect the RT is behind the destruction of our ship on the moon.

"What Eldar?"
We can plausibly deny any knowledge of the Eldar and if an Inquisitor shows up we can kill our two guards before he can torture them.
>>
>>39840693
Report. Not reporting it means that they will be on us if they decide to ever investigate. By reporting it shows that we complied with the proper procedures and did ask for help from the proper people.

Just say that we found a RT box and the info on the datapad and that we had a disagreement before.
>>
>>39840693
Don't tell the ecclessiarchy.
>>
>>39840693
Since we know what it is now, I'd say no. All it says is that some crates that once belonged to a RT ended up with Orks. There's nothing worthwhile in the datapad.

That doesn't stop us from using incompetent space vagabonds as a straw-man to help unite our citizens against laziness. Laziness leads to chaos.
>>
>>39840736
>>39840693

What about the scout team? People talk and sometimes people don't need to talk for others to find out. Report it I say but to the Inquisition or sector command,
>>
>>39840693
Reporting the RT cargo and our conflict with the RT gives us a plausible explanation of what we think killed our ship and denying knowledge of the Eldar.

Should take several months to sort out, giving the Eldar time to clear out.
>>
>>39840874
>>39840693
and end up with a shuriken in my back? fuck that.
The scouts don't know what the fuck they saw and neither did we till the fucking Eldar teleported right in front of us. We can easily claim incompetence and ignorance on this one dude. everybody walks away. most importantly us.
>>
This all sounds good. I think we should also set up some sort of dead man's switch so the Eldar can't just disappear us if they want to. Maybe we can instruct the two loyal family guards that if we disappear again for longer than 48 hours without notifying them, they are to release information on the Eldar. It's sort of a dead man's switch so to speak.
>>
>>39840927

How about a compromise? We delay the report until the next schedule astropathic report to sector command. The Eldar asked only for a delay nothing more.

>Seeing more votes for reporting than not, and to blame the RT for destroying our ship so going with that.
Thanking the mechanicus for their help, you head over to the ecclesiarch, who is over seeing the cathedral. You tell him about the data pad and your past interaction with Roman Diaz, emphasizing the part where he said "That's your funeral." Once you have finished your story, the ecclesiarch rubs his chin. "Incredible. I have heard tales of Rogue Trader's greed, but to consort with xenos? I shall contact some friends in the Ordo Xenos to look into this. Diaz trades a lot in the local sectors, so it should not be hard to find him. Maybe then we can figure out what is going on on our moon. Good work" He says, giving a smile.

>>
>>39841120
I guess develop coolant
>>
>>39841029
>>39841114
>>39841118
>Since I stated the food situation is resolved, most votes went towards the coolant.
You begin sending works to extract the coolant up in the north. The mechanicus offer their support to the project, lending out engineseers and extraction machines, leading to the establishment of operations much quicker than usual. Towards the end of the month, the arbites arrive, allowing you to free up the regiment you previously had on police duty. Flashes from the moon, meanwhile, seem to continue all through the month, though you notice they decrease towards the end of it. You're not sure what that means.
Early this month, you receive a report that Rogue Trader Roman Diaz has been intercepted by some inquisitors and is being investigated. Furthermore, Diaz has publicly denounced you before taking you away. This could potentially cause problems. Diaz was well known among traders in this area, which could lead to them ignoring you and causing revenue issues. While you are friends with the mechanicus, you aren't getting much money from them.
>What plans should we undertake to begin generating more funds? Or should we hold that off for other projects?
>>
>>39841288
How rare/valuable is this coolant? Could we possibly monopolize it in this region of the Imperium, maybe start a cartel with other producers of it to fix prices at a certain level? Also we should continue building our infrastructure and try to entice more colonists to come to our world.
>>
>>39841288
Redouble ceramite mining, when a trader does come by our excess will be sold at a slight undervalue to get him interested.
>>
>>39841288
Focus on mining. Could we get the Mechanicus to spread the word about our coolant and ceramite in this sector to drum up some interest?
>>
>>39841288
The best thing would be to offer much better rates and cuts than most other planets and state that we have information to sell, info that could lead to several people ending up on the wrong side of an Inquisitor's gun for collaborating with Xenos
>>
>>39841376
This, it doesn't matter if the mechanicus buys at a lower rate if more of them are buying.
>>
>>39841288
Although he's popular, I'm sure someone is still willing to trade with us.

Well now that Diaz is in custody I'm sure the ecclesiarchy wants us to find out what's happening on that damn moon.

The xenos have had a month. let's send another ship to "investigate."

tell them to keep a wide berth.
>>
>>39841487
If anything, his competition will jump at the chance to get the deal he couldn't
>>
>>39841487
I agree. We've stalled the Eldar for long enough. Any longer and we risk going from minor to major heresy.
>>
>>39841351
>>39841376
>>39841334
You decide to double mining efforts, all the while attempting to attract buyers to purchase your ceramite and coolant. After two weeks of trying, an interesting buyer approaches you... the Death Korps of Krieg. Krieg is only a short few light years from your planet, and both reasources would be valuable to the Korps. Furthermore, the Korps has heard of your extermination of the Orks and are impressed. They are offering to buy your reasources at a fair rate, higher than the mechanicus, but not exactly market breaking. However, they have a stipulation. As the Korps needs to count on having an exact amount of resources to wage their wars, they are asking for exclusive trading rights. In exchange, they are also offering to station a regiment on your planet to assist in training of PDF and for defense purposes.
>Shall we take up Krieg's offer, or wait for another buyer?
>>
>>39841560
I think kriegs offer will leave us in a strong position to defend our planet.
>>
>>39841560

Negotiate the exclusivity rights away, offer them preferential treatment in our deals instead.
>>
>>39841560
I think we should agree, a relationship with a strong and well known imperial world will be of use to us. We should do everything we can to try to build trust and perhaps try to trade for their reproduction technology at some point.

Also I agree with this guy>>39841634
We should see if they will take a preferential treatment instead and attempt to increase our production to ensure we can accomodate them and any other customers
>>
>>39841560
Only if we can continue trading with the Mechanicus or at least the forge situated on our planet and it is up to them to handle the transportation.
>>
>>39841560
They can have "right of first refusal" but not exclusive trading rights; if we intend on expanding our operation we may end up exceeding their needs and get stuck with a surplus.
>>
>>39841560
meh. the Krieg are social outcasts. We need friends and the Krieg want us to alienate our only current friend and neighbor, the Mechanicus, who have already heavily invested in our planet.

>>39841634
this. if we can lose the exclusivity, then take the deal, but I don't think the Krieg understand the meaning of negotiations or our reasons.

Pass on this deal if it means alienating the Mechboys
>>
>>39841716
>>39841676
>I should have mentioned, the Krieg only want exclusivity on exports of the materials off world. Since the mechanicus are on planet, this does not affect our trade with them.
>>
>>39841765

Still try to negotiate to improve the terms in our favor.
>>
>>39841716
>>39841765
>>39841688
>>39841676
I still think we should try to contact anyone else in the region that produces this coolant and form a cartel like OPEC, we could be like the Saudi Arabia of plasma coolant, controlling prices and giving good deals to our friends while fucking over our political enemies.
>>
>>39841765
Still the same with my vote. To allow for trading of those materials with the Mechanicus in general.
>>
>>39841765
That's still too much. Control of our best export is bad for our cause. Stick with trying to offer them right of first refusal.
>>
>>39841803
I think we should agree, but with the stipulation that if and only if we have more than they are willing to buy we will have the right to export to other interests.
>>
>>39841765
meh. guess take the deal and give them "exclusive rights" if they do the transporting.

the Krieg are still weirdos though. they'll probably cause problems on our planet.

They can definitely help with training our guys tho. lets definitely keep this deal for a while and gain the benefit of the training, but if we find a better deal later, we can break contract.
>>
>>39841826
This might also be a good way to piss off the administratum. We should tread lightly...
>>

>Looks like most votes are going to trying to convince the Kriegers to lighten up on the deal. I'm gonna say we do a roll on this, 1d100 +10 since the Krieg like us and for our reputation with the mechanicus and ecclesiarchy helping out.
>>
>>39841854
Or we could offer them something like a 5-10 contract that can be renewed at the end of its life. If we find someone better just have to wait it out. Breaking contracts isn't advisable.
>>
>>39841560

Well we could always make some friends there, its not too hard to grease wheels in the imperium...

Also this is a more long term plan I suppose, but if we formed a cartel we could pool our supply and demand among all the members, so for example Krieg gets involved in a major campaign and need more coolant, we could ask other members to fill some of the order.

>Rolls average to 25.3... our first failure
Negotiations with the Kriegers did not go well. They seem utterly implacable in their position, even coldly saying that not taking their deal was blasphemous in the eyes of the Emperor for not supporting his troops. They have given you an ultimatum: either accept their deal as is or not, nothing in between.
>>
>>39842203
Take the deal, we can find another product to sell offworld.
>>
>>39842203
I think we should take this deal if we can scheme a way to get out of the exclusive part of our deal with them. I wonder if they would be pissed if they caught us dealing coolant on the side if we could guarantee them 100% of what they needed....
>>
>>39842268
I think that's what we were trying to do. Krieg called us blasphemous in the Eyes of the Emperor in response.
>>
>>39842203
with their reasoning, we need to be able to supply any of the soldiers of the imperium that have need.
>>
>>39842203
Take it. We could always sell to a local organization like the mechanicus and get them to sell it to a third party.
>>
>>39842203
take the deal.

>>
>>39842203
Don't take the deal. Not worth the loss of control of our best resources.

>>39842311
To keep on this track of thought... maybe we could hook up with another RT to trade coolant in our name. We have them serve as a middleman in exchange for a cut of the profit. Use what happened to Diaz to help make sure they follow the deal, nobody wants a visit from the inquistion
>>

In the face of Krieg's ultimatum, you decide to accept the deal. The Kriegers almost instantly become nicer the second you do, sending a crate of vintage amasec along with their regiment to train your troops. A few days after they arrive, however, the bright lights from the moon begin to increase in activity. At the same time, your astropaths bring word of a disturbance in the warp. Something was heading to the sector.
>Shall we try and figure out if the Eldar are involved? Or prepare for whatever is coming through the warp and leave the Eldar to fend for themselves? We do have a frigate and our family ship now for space defense.
>>
>>39842457
Try to find out if the Eldar are involved. Whatever is coming probably won't stop with the moon.
>>
>>39842457
Have Kriegers start preparing defenses
>>
>>39842457
Defenses. We don't know if anything will attack us instead of the moon. The Eldar might even be using us as bait if we advance towards them.
>>
Disturbance in the warp. That means it's probably either chaos, Necrons, or Nids. Way to go Eldar... (smug pricks)

Anyway, yes, send out astropathic messages about what is going on, and go full emergency prep. Send people into the mines with extra food to use as bunkers. Mobilize our Frigate. Everything we can do to prep for the shitstorm that's about to hit us.
>>
>>39842457

These build up our defences and try to clandestinely contact the eldar on the moon. We should ask them if they are aware/know anything. Also position our ships to turn anything that comes out of the warp into scrap metal the second it gets here
>>
>>39842457
time to rat on the Eldar.
We promised them a delay, and we have delayed.
Things are getting weird and we cannot delay longer.

Plus we now have Kriegers to help defend us.

Contact the Ecclessiarchy, Inquisition, Mechanicus, Administratum, and our mother. Tell them that we are now sure that we have Eldar on the moon, but that we just found out.

Hopefully the Eldar are satisfied and that whatever they are doing is finished by the time the Imperium shows up with the navy and the shit hits the fan.

>>39842545
Set up defenses. Krieger can help and train our PDF.

Also take measures to always have a lot of guard around... in case the Eldar are not satisfied with our performance.

Report the Eldar we gave them their time.

We begin mobilizing our forces to full defense, placing civilians in bunkers made from the mines, having the mechanicus build some orbital defense, and setting up our frigate and family cruiser to try blasting anything that comes out. Attempts to contact the Eldar fail as they seem to completely ignore us. Finally, after days, the disturbance reaches us.. a space hulk is vomited out of the warp. As soon as word gets out, the mechanicus contact you, expressing a desire to search the hulk and recover any archeotech inside.

You decide to run a scan of the hulk first, the mechanicus agreeing that it is a smart move, but seeming impatient. Initial scans return that there are no life signs on the hulk and reveal that the ship making up the hulk was last spotted in the 34th millenium, around the time of the Nove Terra Interregnum.
>How shall we proceed.
>>39842824
No, sorry I had misread what people were saying. We have not yet rat on them.

>>39842859
Taking this idea a step farther, I think we should build a secret command center somewhere, maybe the bottom of an old mineshaft or something. Make sure it is well shielded and has communications all over the planet. It should only be known to a few of our most loyal people.
>>
>>39842859
Hell, maybe hiding out in our frigate is the safest place now.

As for investigating the hulk, we should send in some Krieg because they're fucking good, but I don't want to risk our PDF in that deathtrap.

>>39842901

You decide first most to finally rat out those Eldar, sending a message out to the administratum that you discovered their presence on the moon recently and to send troops to purge them.
In the meanwhile, you work with the mechanicus, Kriegers, and ecclesiarchy to search the hulk, with PDF following up. The Kriegers are believe it is a waste of time, but due to your relationship, offer to go anyway. The mechanicus and ecclesiarchy are all too eager to go search the hulk and soon you have away parties sent.
The boarding parties make entry successfully, beginning to explore the halls. At first, all is going well... until several troops are suddenly vaporized in flashes of green energy, the remaining turning to see lines of robotic skeletons approaching them... Necrons.
>>
>>39843027
I feel like the team should be expendable. If we find something really nasty in there we should use our ships to blow it out of the sky and take no chances.

You order the troops to immediately withdraw and tell the frigate and family ship to begin warming up their cannons to turn the hulk into a slag heap. The troops successfully get out, however as your ships open fire, the blasts of energy are blocked by a shield raised around the ship. Various green lights flash up over the hulk, with whole sections of it falling off to reveal the frame work of a necron ship underneath. However, a bright beam of light suddenly shoots from the moon and pierces through the Necron shield, shooting through the midsection of the Necron ship and causing it to explode. There is another flash of light from the moon, nothing else following it.
>It would appear the Eldar knew about the Necrons. Perhaps this was the business they were here for... and if that flash of light following the beam means anything, they might have just left right after you ratted them out.
