>Character Sheet: http://pastebin.com/57AD6VeG

You are Ninth Division Captain Kusajishi Riku, of the Seireitei's Court Guard.

Your Division was left a shambles after the recent “Hollowfication Incident” in which you yourself were an unwilling participant: several Divisions lost their Lieutenant or Captain, and Twelfth Division lost both. But Ninth Division lost its Captain, Lieutenant, and its top four seated officers below Mashiro. Those men, known collectively as “Muguruma's Commandos”, were once the point of pride for the Division. Now they're all exiled, dead, or in Tōsen's case promoted.

Morale in the Ninth suffered, which was only lessened by the arrival of a Captain and Lieutenant who cut almost as impressive figure as Kensei and Mashiro did: namely yourself and Rangiku, who you've named your Lieutenant.

“I'm sure we can come up with something,” Rangiku assures Seventh Seat Kofun, your highest remaining seated officer at the moment. “What have we got so far?”

“Well,” Kofun replies, biting his lip in such nervous anticipation that he's practically brushing his teeth with that silly mustache of his. “We have an article or two ready, but several of our regular contributors aren't going to come through this week. That's the real issue: nobody has time right now to write for us.”

You nod thoughtfully, the beginnings of a plan forming in your mind. “Get some squads together to conduct interviews with the men and women of each Division that lost officers last night. Find some photographs to use, and we'll produce an article for each. Release it as a special edition, free of charge.”

“That's actually not a bad idea,” Rangiku muses. “It's been a long time since I've seen you so sentimental.”

Kofun bows his head respectfully. “I'll do it, ma'am.”

“I'll write the introduction,” you add, “So don't worry about that. Just make sure we tell the story, through the eyes and words of people who knew the missing officers.”

“But for now,” you continue, turning to your daughter, “I've got to rebuild the Commandos.”

Rangiku nods, brushing a bit of her orangeish-blonde hair back over her shoulder. “Where do you think we should start?”

“The general idea is to have four strong fighters,” you explain, laying out your thoughts, “who have to look impressive. Getting that impression of strength and authority back should ease the transition.”

“You have someone in mind, don't you?”

You grin back at her. “No, but an old friend of mine may know where I should look.”

The Eleventh Division's barracks are exceptionally sparse, compared to those of your new Division. Where yours almost feels more like walking through a park or a manor home at times, especially with the cherries in full bloom, it's clear that Eleventh's militaristic mindset has extended to all facets of its existence. Packed earth training grounds instead of grass and flowers, striking dummies instead of trees, barracks instead of apartments: the list of differences is long indeed.

Today, the whole place is buzzing with a degree of energy that's unusual even by the standards set by packing nearly a thousand of the most dedicated swordsmen in the Seireitei into an area that's barely big enough to contain them all.

“Eh?” Rangiku gasps in surprise. “There's gotta be at least two hundred of these guys standing around out here! What're they all even doing?”

“That should be obvious,” a voice responds from behind you. Turning, you find that the newly-promoted Captain Tōsen is standing nearby, looking noticeably upset. “They've assembled to watch the bloodletting that is about to occur.”

You frown, quickly picking up on the implications. “You mean an official challenge? Who's the challenger?”

“A bestial man from the Rukongai, who claims the name Kenpachi of Zaraki.”

“I take it you don't approve, Captain Tōsen?” Rangiku asks as your eyes widen in dawning realization. You know that name. How could you forget it?

Tōsen nods curtly. “It's a barbaric practice that has no business continuing in this era of relative peace. I've been trying to stop the fight, to no avail. Kiganjō's heart seems set on it.”

If that's true, then today is the day that Kiganjō is going to die. And you get the feeling that if he doesn't take the fight seriously, the final job of the Tenth Kenpachi is going to end up falling on someone else's shoulders.
>You're a damn Captain now, Tōsen. Interference with Eleventh's affairs is an overreach.

So I had a thought. Thanks to our knowing Garganta, can't we also travel to the World of the Living via Hueco Mundo?

As long as we maintain our stealth, we should be capable of coordinating with Urahara right?

Also, while we don't know this in character yet, Urahara still has -his- Hougyoku at this point right? Could he turn Harribel and the Tres Bestias into Arrancar before Aizen can?

Hmm... shame Riku never got to know the current Captain well. Dunno if he fostered camaraderie to an extent that some 11th members might avenge him.

Best we got was that he didn't attend meetings and he likes to drink.
Heck, we never even got a second opinion about him from Kai. And I'm looking at things from the group dynamic perspective: how the rest of 11th would react and whether Riku should prep for even more damage control or not.

You know, if we ever have to pick a fight with Zaaraki for any reason, I think the best strategy would be to pick him up, toss him at a building, and then immobilize him with a bunch of bakudos as he's getting up.

>>
>>39812660
He's not at his strongest yet. Most of his power is still sealed away.
>>
Actually, has Aizen, at this point in time, gotten around to creating Tony and crew or is that later?
>>
>>39812401
Yes. We could also arrange meetings in Hueco, so as to include Harribel.

I suggested this a couple threads ago. It's a good idea.
>>
>>39812601
We've got a decent chance against him.

He's beefier than us, and it's not the best idea to get up close to him even if we're damn good, and our skills a lot more refined than his. But between our obscene mobility and heavy use of kido we should be able to manage, to a degree.

It's still a bad idea to get in a fight with him, a single fuck up could lead to a lot of damage even with us being reasonably tough and having Blut.
>>
>>39812645
Riku's gotta be fast and lay on the kido bullshit as much as possible to anchor him to the ground in the hypothetical scenario. Those are her strength after all. Also end this as fast as possible with no fucking around, so he doesn't take off his eyepatch and adjusts to her speed.

All hypothetically of course.

You do realize that people in bleach don't die from injuries unless they run out of spiritual pressure if their will is strong enough? Ichigo survived being cut in half to the point where his spine was the only thing holding his upper and lower body together.
>>
>>39812657

Yachiro.
>>
>>39812706
It helps that we have, like, three different trump cards. Though one of them is utterly useless against him and another as not been practiced.

Hueco is a nice place to train mask though. But it's better for blitzkriegs, not drawn out fights. Also, training it would be for increasing how long to use it, not how much power it gives you. That only gets better with how good you are without it. So don't skimp out on training normally either.
>>
>>39812753
Which is why Riku can do both at once.

Not saying Kenny wouldn't rek her, but she'd put up a good fight.
>>
>>39812677
I am talking about how fighting Kenpachi in a 1v1 duel is playing to his strengths. Kenpachi is a dedicated, and unsubtle combat machine
>>
>>39812811

>>
>>39812819
Bankai would be less than useless against him. It would be suicide of the highest order.

He has a 0 in Kido.
>>
>>39812753
As someone put it, he's a pretty resilient tank. The first strike won't kill him, so might as well weaken him and win by him not being able to attack himself.

“Go get the Old Man and Unohana if it bothers you,” you tell Tōsen. “Or watch what happens... sorry. You know what I mean.”

He nods in agreement. “Of course, Captain Unohana could save Kiganjō's life if it comes to that."

You shake your head: a pointless gesture that your fellow Captain probably can't even see you doing. Instead of waiting to hear your reply, he pushes his way back through the crowd of Shinigami to find the Head Captain. “That's... not what I meant, but okay.”

Where is Kai... he's gotta be somewhere near the front of the crowd, right? You push your way towards the center of the courtyard where the fight is to occur, with Rangiku in tow. The tension is so heavy here that you can practically feel it weighing down on you as hundreds of eyes stare expectantly at the two fighters. Most of the Eleventh Division members here barely even recognize the fact that a Captain is pushing past them, they're so engrossed in the spectacle.

“You can't hear it, can you?” Tenkotsuki asks you as you continue to press your way to the front. “The sound of a Zanpakuto screaming in agony? And it is not Kiganjō's, either...”

Then, you feel it: an overwhelming surge of reiatsu that catches you completely off guard and nearly drives most of the men around you to their knees. In fact only a few of the crowd remain unbowed aside from yourself and Rangiku, which makes it easy to finally spot your friend in the front row.

Kai stands among his fellow Division members, staring in wide-eyed shock. “With.... one swing?” he mutters.

“Hey, Kai!” you call out. “Snap out of it! Kai!”

You try shaking him, which rouses him out of his stupor long enough to realize you're there. “Oh, hey Captain Riku. You picked a hell of a time.”

Finally glancing over your shoulder, you see what Kai must be seeing. Rangiku covers her mouth as she sees it too, and you can't blame her. You think he cut out ALL of Kiganjō's blood.
(1/2)
>>
>>39812797
That may be a fair point. The captain likely had Bankai, but of course he didn't use it, or even his shikai for all we know, against kenny at the time.

The challenger stoops to remove the dead man's haori, throwing it nonchalantly over his shoulder. One of the Eleventh's swordsmen runs out to shout at the new Kenpachi, only to have Fourth Seat Iba restrain him. Even though he can't draw his sword past Iba's arms, he keeps shouting for his Captain while the blood pools around his unmoving corpse.

Unohana and Yoruichi are the first to arrive, surveying the scene with an almost disturbing sense of detachment.

“What happened here, Riku?” Yoruichi asks you calmly, still surveying the scene.

Come to think of it, you didn't actually see what just happened. But the angle and depth of the cut, the broken sword, the amount of blood loss... and that terrible burst of reiatsu just before the moment of impact? Those factors let you can see it as if it were still happening, right in front of your eyes.

“That big guy came with an overhand blow from Kiganjō's left,” you observe. “Kiganjō drew his sword high to parry, but the blade was only slowed.”

“Instead of cutting Kiganjō in half cleanly it bifurcated the clavicle and cut the left lung before ending up in the liver,” Unohana adds. “It should have taken about twelve seconds for him to bleed to death.”

“Nine,” Yoruichi corrects her. “I was counting.”

“To determine all that from the reiatsu and the aftermath,” Kai mutters to himself, staring at the pool of blood around his former Captain's body and his new Captain's feet as the latter shifts the white jacket on his shoulder. “It's official, all Captains are terrifying. Even the nice ones.”

Yoruichi's frown deepens. “I'm missing something. How was it Kiganjō never got the chance to release?”

Kenpachi is min-maxed to not die, ever.

And all this "She wants payback" deal, not really, since she would probably be absolutely terrified of the guy who nearly killed her.

It's like you dont even read.

Riku hasn't forgotten that Kenny nearly killed her, and think of it like this, there are men in their nineties that suffered something traumatic in their young teens, like 14 and 13, that to this day would scare the everliving shit out of them.

There are men who are in their 30's in peak physical condition who refuse to do things, or go near things because something like it scared them as a child.

It's not rocket science.
>>
>>39813222
“I ran into him once, a long time ago,” you tell Yoruichi. “He nearly killed me, with that same one-handed attack. But he has no technical skill, and he can't release his sword. All Kiganjō would have seen was a sealed blade, not realizing how much raw spiritual power was behind it.”

“That explains it,” Yoruichi replies thoughtfully. “Kiganjō must've thought his challenger was holding back, so he held back too. Foolish... but here I was half expecting you to throw yourself at him headfirst."

You shrug. "It wouldn't be interesting."

"How's that?" Zaraki asks, turning to walk towards you. "Yer sayin' fightin' me wouldn't be interesting?"

Good lord, it's almost hard to believe this guy actually beat Kiganjō with JUST his spiritual pressure... but the evidence doesn't lie. “To die with a weapon still sheathed or an ability unused would be to die insincere,” you warn him. “If we ever do end up fighting, use both hands... unless you'd rather die a dishonest man.”

Kenpachi's only response is to chuckle at you. “I'm guessin' you got what you came for, then? Tragic... and here I was hopin' for a real fight. Another time, maybe."

As he walks away, a small, pink-haired girl you hadn't noticed before climbs up his haori to perch on Zaraki's shoulder, watching you with some interest as the giant man heads for his new headquarters.

“I understand,” Unohana muses quietly. “That man never did his job properly when he was alive. Why should he start now?”

… ouch.

Yoruichi merely shrugs. “You break it, you bought it,” she reminds her companion. “That's how your old Division works, remember?”

"I only hope the whelp proves more capable," Unohana replies, turning to leave.

Kenpachi's arrival is actually quite fortuitous. He will emphasize the distinction between the 11th and the 9th. The 11th will become a full blown warrior cult and we can keep the 9th as a unit of professional soldiers.

>>
>>39813978
>>says that riku is scared of kenny dispute showing no fear at all when talking to him.

Do you not know what posturing, is?

Believe it or not, talking to someone and putting up a strong front is neither hard, nor uncommon to do when someone is scared.
>>
>>39814002
That would require him to actually do all that.

>>39814018
Ichigo only beat gin when it came to spiritual pressure and maybe offense and physical strength.
>>
>>39813847
It's also that the best strategies for Riku to use against Kenny wouldn't be that entertaining. Zaraki is pretty fast, but it's not like he can shunpo, or approach our maneuverability. So we'd kite him around throwing laser beams and bindings at him, occasionally darting in to stab him and jumping out, until he goes down or we get bored. This also would involve a decent bit of collateral damage.

With Shunko, and our skill in melee combat, we could probably just beat his face in, but it's a bit riskier and shows off a trump card so be careful about using it.
>>
>>39814018
Gotta remember that those stats were created before MAXIMUM POWER CREEP was achieved, and thus are kind of wishy-washy.

Again, I'm not saying that we wouldn't win, I'm saying that it wouldn't be the Roflstomp you guys seem to think it would have been. Yes, he's weaker, but bad dice could fuck us up and make us take some serious damage before we kill him.

Now THAT i can agree with, I'm glad you can atleast back up your sayings with logic unlike the others
>>
>>39813923
>>39813930
I agree with those.
We'd lose in a straight up fight, but there's no reason to fight fairly in any manner. It'd practically be considered handicapping ourselves, and treating Zaraki like he needs his blanky during the fight, which is a good way to get killed.

But with a plan, good rolls it's possible. Maybe even without taking a hit, if we somehow crit each time. The shunko and hollow mask (should we need to go all out for some reason, which isn't going to happen until at least the Aizen reveal) we could maybe deliver punches on Power sternritter's caliber. Probably not, but good enough for how he is in his current state.
Otherwise it's dodge, keep moving, trips and throws and hits don't work, and a whole lot of kido bullshit at it's full potential. Those are some good odds.

That still doesn't mean we should fight him for trivial matter. That's stupid.
>>
>>39814002

Oh yeah, that's right: Kai's an avid reader, among other things. Now that you think about it, that would make him a pretty good choice for a seated officer in your Division. After having subdued his fellow Shinigami, Iba walks over to stand behind Kai.

“I may take you up as well,” he adds. “That new Kenpachi seems like a fighter, pure and simple... but I'd like to aim for somethin' a bit more meaningful. You've got four spaces free, right?”

You nod quietly even as the crowds around you disperse. “That's right. Three through Six.”

Behind Iba, the Shinigami who tried to go after Zaraki approaches you. His eyes are still full of rage... you can tell even if he's not making eye contact with you.

“Captain. I'd like to request a transfer as well... I doubt I'd be too welcome here from now on.”

You frown at him. “Who are you?”

“Ichinose Maki, ma'am. Fifth Seat.”

To clarify: Riku was absolutely in no danger. Zaraki's tough, and extremely powerful, but he's also incredibly slow by Captain standards and has nearly zero technical ability.

“Okay, I'll bite,” Rangiku muses. “Why?”

Ichinose bows his head deeply. “My Zanpakuto uses a number of kidō abilities, which are already frowned upon by some of our Division. I get the impression that will only become more true in time. Add in the fact that I just tried to attack the new Kenpachi... and, well...”

Rangiku looks to you with some uncertainty as Yoruichi shuts her eyes with a sigh. They both know that Ichinose's case carries some validity, but that letting him join your Division may be a mistake if he ends up carrying any baggage with him from this event. It's not exactly an easy decision.

“Alright,” you reply warily. “I see your point. All three of you are welcome in my Division on one condition: that any business you may still have with Eleventh Division stays here. If you bring trouble to my doorstep, it'll be on you to sort it out. Clear?”

All three men nod. “Good. Aim to hand in the appropriate transfer papers tomorrow morning, report to Ninth Division barracks by noon. Dismissed.”

Kai hangs around for a few moments as his fellow officers depart. “Congrats, Riku,” he tells you. “Knew it wasn't gonna be long. Howsit going in the Ninth, what with.. well, y'know?”

You sigh. “Time heals most wounds, Kai. But sometimes it takes a while.”

“I see. Thanks fer the warnin'.”

As you walk back towards your base with Rangiku and Yoruichi, your former Captain passes you a note behind your Lieutenant's back. On it, carefully penned in ink, are a few carefully-selected words: Should we tell your kid? Today?

This. Gin needs to know and Riku doesn't know he knows

Riku suspects that Gin knows more than he's letting on though. Also that he's probably gotten way too close to Aizen due to his tendency to take everything on himself.

I don't think we should involve gin when he's off doing his own thing most of the time, personally.
>>
>>39814908
>We should sort a few things out first.
Prep the hideout, as I assume that's the best place right now to pull off the Hollowification revelation without shocking Rangiku (and Gin, if he tags along I guess) too much. I'd suggest Hueco, but that'd give the kids a big heads up already on what's up.

And as an added Shadowrun precaution, use Tenko's illusion dispelling skill in the vicinity first before said reveal. Who knows who might be using Kyokko by that point. At least keep the secret hideout relatively bug free.

>>
>>39815329
>the "Yourichi killed me" thing
Huh. I guess there is precedent in putting Rangiku within our circle of trust that telling her that at an earlier point might be reasonable.

I can even see how the next scene might start from this line of thinking.

>"Hey, Rangiku?"
>"Yeah?"
>"You kept that secret about me being a former Quincy for a while now, right? Because I'm about to drop another big secret to you. Can I trust you to keep it as well as the other one?"

>>39814908
“Sure,” you reply aloud, confusing your daughter. “We'll stop by my office, then head for the training area.”

Yoruichi nods to herself. “I'll see you there, Riku.”

As you continue towards your barracks the Second Division Captain disappears, leaving you alone with Rangiku. “What did you mean?” she asks quietly. “What's going on? What's with this sudden seriousness?”

You don't answer immediately. Instead you leave a notice with your Seventh Seat that you and his Lieutenant are going to be holding a private sparring session until dinner, effectively leaving him in charge. He doesn't ask any questions, which saves you the trouble of making up any more lies. Then, you head straight to the underground chamber where you and Yoruichi fought last night.

“Okay, so are you ever going to tell me what's really going on?” Rangiku demands. “I'm starting to get worried here!”

Yoruichi bites gently at her lip, choosing her words carefully. “You are aware that the Captains and Lieutenants involved with last night's incident went missing early this morning, correct?”

Rangiku nods sternly.

“Well, that's not technically true,” your friend finishes. “Two of them stayed, and you're speaking to them right now.”

Your daughter's eyes widen ever so slightly as she turns to look at you. “Is that...”

You nod. “It's true. I was patrolling Hueco Mundo...”

“You were?” she asks nervously. “Why? How?”

“I was looking for a cause behind the disappearances,” you explain. “And when I got back, I ran across Kensei and Mashiro, the latter of whom infected me.”

“Is it still dangerous?”
(1/2)
>>
>>39815538
After taking a moment to think, you shake your head. “I doubt it. It seems to only spread between a Hollowfied individual and the victims they injure. Anyway, I managed to get back here without being noticed, and infected Yoruichi by accident.”

“And then I fought Riku,” Yoruichi continues, “got pretty thoroughly worked over, then Hollowfied myself after Riku snapped herself out of it. Then she fought me for a while, I snapped out of it, and the rest is what you know.”

“Captain Urahara wasn't responsible for it, was he?” Rangiku asks, apparently filling in the gaps where Yoruichi must have rescued him from the Central 46 chambers.

You shrug. “Probably not. Only trouble is the other possibility seemed to be Aizen, who was reported as having been in the Seireitei. We're still trying to work out exactly what happened.”

“Does Gin know?”

“If Aizen's responsible, probably,” you admit. “Though I get the feeling he's treating Aizen as a threat. He may suspect the man's up to something even worse.”

“Worse?” Rangiku frowns. “What could be worse than that sort of betrayal? His own Captain, for crying out loud!”

>We really have no idea. That's part of the problem.

“Could be he was just testing the process,” you reply carefully, “though his goals are something we can only guess at right now. I was thinking, though.”

“Uh-oh,” Yoruichi mutters.

You make a face at her. “I was gonna ask, if a Shinigami can gain Hollow powers, can't the reverse happen?”

“The fact that putting Shinigami-Hollow hybrids to death is already a rule DOES seem a little odd if this is a new phenomenon,” Rangiku admits.

Yoruichi seems to think for a while before coming up with a one word answer. “Arrancar.”

“Excuse you?”

“The word you're looking for is Arrancar. It's the term for a Hollow that removes a part of their mask to gain Shinigami-like powers, sealing it into the form of a sword.”

Rangiku stares at her, her surprise bordering on disbelief. “You're not making that up?”

“Fraid not, kiddo. Incomplete 'pseudo-arrancar' been known to exist from time to time. Usually the Royal Guard are sent after 'em when they show up.”

So they're that strong of an enemy, huh? Or is it more due to the fact that they break the arbitrary “rules” the same way you and Yoruichi both do now? Having never seen one, you can't be sure it's not the former... but with what you've seen and heard these last few days neither one would surprise you in the slightest.

That's not meta at all. Common sense says taht if you can hollowfy shinigami then you should be able to shinigamify hollows.

Logic can be represented by a DC 5 roll.

“Wait a minute,” you mutter. “You said they seal it in the form of a sword, right?”

Yoruichi nods. “Yup.”

“And that there's mostly been incomplete Arrancar?'

“That's right.”

“Well,” you continue, “has there ever been a Hollow that ripped their mask off and sealed their power into an Asauchi?”

Yoruichi sighs. “Making the crime fit the punishment, eh? What the hell, let's at least look into it.”

“Wait, you can't be serious?” Rangiku practically sputters. “What the hell's going on here?”

You shrug. “I have a few allies I've made on the other side. If we decide to try this, we could build a strong little faction to work against Aizen with.”

“So we'd be countering his schemes and plots,” Rangiku mutters, trying to work out the logic, “with more schemes and plots of our own?”

“In theory,” Yoruichi replies. “But bigger, and better shenanigans. Also, more moral scruples, less villainy.”

“I'll give it some thought,” you conclude. “I have a few things to handle here, so we'll go after dinner. At least broach the subject to Halibel.”

Rangiku nods quietly. “Alright, then. But remember, if we do this... there's no going back.”

“We're way past that point,” Yoruichi reminds her. “We passed that point the minute Riku got infected.”

The Research Bureau's main compound is somehow even more unwelcoming than the Eleventh Division barracks. Yoruichi's excused herself for now, preferring to stay away from the place entirely: you're not sure whether that's because it creeps her out as much as it does you, or because it reminds her of Kisuke. The truth is probably some combination of the two. As you enter, Rangiku lets out a low whistle.

“That's some creepy stuff they've got in here!” she intones. “I don't like it, it's like something out of a horror novel!”

As she reaches out to tap on a glass tube containing a sample of what you presume is Hollow flesh, a raspy voice interrupts her, nearly causing her to jump out of her own skin in surprise. “Do NOT touch that, you simpleton!”

“Mayuri,” you sigh, “that's no way to treat my Lieutenant.”

“I see,” the creepy-looking Shinigami muses to himself, his voice bounding almost lyrically from the bottom the the top of his natural range. “So you've been promoted? How utterly droll.”

You decide it's probably best to nod and continue on with the conversation before the mad scientist starts experimenting on you where you stand. Jeez, at least Kisuke was polite about it. “I'm looking to get a hold of one or two of those rifles you and Urahara were working on.”

“You mean those confounded things?” he hisses. “Oh, I'd be only too delighted to get rid of them. I was so very bored with them anyhow. Would you like to inspect them first?”

Nodding affirmative causes Mayuri to disappear into a back room, and before long he returns with a rifle in hand. “This is based on the...”

“Sharps-Borchardt action,” you interrupt. “I know. Modified with a loop at the end of the lever for the shooter's fingers. I could tell by the lack of a hammer.”
>>
I wonder if giving them an Asauchi would make them stronger than arrancar that sealed their power into regular swords.

“Sharp young woman!” Mayuri muses. “Perhaps you are more observant than I gave you credit for? But no matter. This is the only action the Central 46 has approved thus far, being a single-shot variety, and they only approved it in a small batch.”

“How many?” Rangiku presses.

“Ten,” Mayuri replies, cleaning out his ear with the long fingernail on his right pinkie. “Along with one thousand rounds of ammunition, which can be refilled with reiatsu. If you want more, there's a problem.”

“And that is?”

The man grins manically. “It's no longer my problem!”

Ha. Funny.

“Well, thanks,” you nod to Mayuri. “And good luck on that “secret” project of yours.”

Mayuri stops and glares daggers at you. “What do you know of it?”

“Only that one of Kisuke's training dummies went missing last week,” you taunt him. “You know, the ones that...”

“Okay, fine,” Mayuri hisses. “No need to make a scene! I'll have the weapons sent over this evening, and there will be a bonus if you'll just shut up!”

Rangiku shoots you a smirk as you pretend to consider the matter. “Very well, Mayuri. I think our business is concluded.”

“Thanks for your assistance,” Rangiku bows... you never realized that someone could bow sarcastically, but somehow she managed.

“Tch,” Mayuri scoffs. “Just go before I change my mind.”

Before dinner, you manage to slip out of the Seireitei and into the Rukongai while Rangiku sees to some of the Division's business. You find that your feet have carried you far and fast, and in less than an hour you've returned to where this all began for you: the alleyway where you used to live. In all this time, you've never shown anyone this place. Not Kisuke, not Gin, not Rangiku, not Kai or Kaoru. You're not even sure how you feel to be back after all these decades.

You're a different woman now, you realize. Standing in the alleyway, a Captain of the Thirteen Guard Divisions and proud adoptive mother of two powerful Shinigami. It simply makes what you've gained seem that much more precious to you as you retrieve the sword, still in its sheath. You didn't realize back then, but it's definitely an Asauchi.

"Burn, Ye sinner of flesh! Loose the hounds of hell, Six hundred and sixy six flames, Distant clound of ash, Char flesh and fuel the flames! Awai goka!"
The caster point's with their index finger at the target of the Kido while chanting.
Bright pale blue flames explode into existance upon the target of the Kido, Burning more furiously than Haien, The flames are hard to put out even with water.

Forgot pic related, Oh well

Riku wanders in with the mask forming collapses in front of her.

Yoruichi is shocked and then horrified as Riku becomes a monster.

She deflects blows while sheilding the area.

Then does her very best not to beat Riku to death, holding back the entire time.
>>
>>39817805
He definitely wouldn't. Especially because they're experimental weapons, not combat-ready.
>>
>>39817888
They are combat ready. Otherwise we wouldn't have gotten them. Please learn to read. As for the Asauchi they would be combat ready the moment they are made. Cause that's how they work.

agarwood and incense? Definitely, it spices up their hollow-life. We could set up shop there and have an incense store where Hollows and Arrancar can lounge about relaxing to the smell of agarwood (if we get exiled)
>>
>>39817925
We would only get exiled if we did something stupid. Like giving Asauchi made to be a bayonet to hollows to put their power in.
>>
>>39817925

Once Urahara open's up his shop, he could have a franchise in HueCo. Imagine the fun times that would be had by all.
>>
>>39817925
this would actually be goddamn hilarious,
we'd be to spirit-mexico what clogs is to the human world.
>>
So does anyone else want to find nel?
>>
>>39817915
I meant approved by the Gotei. Which they are not.
>>
>>39817967
I'm sure Harribel will introduce us eventually
>>
>>39817967
Fuck no.
>>
>>39817967
I think unlike Harribel and the Tres Bestias, Neliel only calmed down when she became an Arrancar.

Then again, she doesn't appear to have a Hollow Hole at all, so who knows.
>>
>>39817971
What the guns? They are approved by the Gotei. We wouldn't have gotten them otherwise.

>>39817982
I don't think they ever met one another.
>>
So, which potential Hollows will join Harribel's faction?
>>
>>39817967
Meta gaming. If she stumbles across and she's not a cunt we'll get along.

But we know Harribel and Apacci, Mila, and.. uh.. can't use stairs.

If she appears we might be nice to her. But we're not going out of our way to find someone we don't know exists.
>>
>>39818025
Stark and his loli.
>>
>>39817967
No. I honestly can't see the appeal of the character. She's annoying at the best of times.

>>39818025
I wonder if we could fix Stark and Lillienet's death aura thing. We could geek out about guns.
>>
>>39818025
Grimmjow and Nel
>>
>>39818055
>I wonder if we could fix Stark and Lillienet's death aura thing. We could geek out about guns.
Oh god make it happen please!
>>
>>39818055
Adult nel is different then child nel.

>Strawberry gang enter ghost mexico for the first time
>They see an expanse of endless sand- wait. what's a shop doing here in the middle of the goddamn desert?
>Enters, sees all of these Arrancar and Hollows chilling out looking stoned from the incense.
>wtf is this
>Riku: Hey, nice of you to drop by
>Strawberry gang: wtf.
>>
>>39818060
>Grimmjow
I'm all for collecting the cats, but that might mean bringing those more-useless-than-Chad entourage with him into the fold.

I would be interested in finding Ashido in ghost mexico
>>
>>39818095
You know, Riku might get along okay with Chad, cause Chad gets along alright with everyone cause he's quiet.

I can see Riku just droning on and telling stories as he sits there trying to say something but wont interrupt.
>>
>>39818095
or if they have no idea who we are
>What the fuck? Why is a soul reaper hanging out with hollows
>Ey, fuck you brat I do whatever the fuck I want.
>>
>>39818128
Who?

>>39818120
Isn't he you know.. a dick?
>>
>>39818128

I read Kubo wanted to include him in the manga, but did not due to editorial constraints likely.

He should be Lt level at the least from his constant combat, but due to bleach inconsistent power levels, he was likely a seated officer strength.
>>
>>39818152
yeah, IIRC Halibel doesn't like him.
>>
>>39818170

And there we go.
>>
>>39818152
He's middling in terms of dickishness among canon Espada.
>>
>>39818152
>>Who?
He was a shinigami who became trapped in the forest of menos. An underground area of mundo, and when strawberry's gang meets him he's been there for hundreds of years, fighing in a clock of hollow fur, adorned with slain hollow masks, and using them as armor and shield. He shreds gillians with his sword still sealed.
>>
>>39818091
Adult Nel had a horrible VA and was still kind of annoying albeit in a different way.
>>
>>39818005
Not for combat. They haven't been tested. Nobody knows what kind of zanpakuto spirit it produces, if its power is comparable to a regular asauchi, what kind of abilities they may possess, etc.

It's still in the experimental stage, and Mayuri is implicit in having given them out for unknown purposes. And as I said before, he likes experiments and "I didn't know she was going to do that" is a shit excuse for a military captain.
>>
>>39818146
>Hey Clogs! There was some soul reaper hanging out with Hallows!
>Was her name Riku? That was probably Riku
>>
>>39818221
>Hey Urahara, your hat still looks stupid.
>Riku? How'd you find this place?
>I followed the brats, I was stealth squad remember?
