The next morning, you lie awake in your comfy bed, alone. Isla is still not back from studying the forest...place. You really should give it an official name, but that’s a job for another day.

Now you need to decide whether to start retrieving the weapons Konig told you about, or make plans to deal with the Lord of Life, or the Killing Frost, or Delax, or any of the other many things you need to deal with right now.

There’re three artefacts you intend to retrieve; The Heart of Azulkire, the Reapers Blade and the Soul Gem of Jankiris the Mad. You are aware of other weapons, but they’re back-up options, at best.

The Heart of Azulkire is a one-use magical item that contains the powers of lots of fire elementals, and is owned by a merchant on another plane. You can simply buy that one, however the price will likely be very high.

The Churches of Konig or Velya could pay for it, but the Church of Velya is not as rich as that of Konig, and it could cripple the Church financially.
>>
Konig wants something if he buys the Heart for you however – he thinks Viviken, your son, would do well in the paladin school that Milerna is attending. You have your doubts about that, Vivi’s talents are more arcane than anything; you’re not sure how well he would do, even if Jal was willing to let him go along.

You could simply use your ability to make celestial iron as well as artefacts to create whatever the merchant wants in trade, but he might ask for something you’re not willing to make.

You plan on sending someone to negotiate the price on that, but haven’t decided who yet.

The Reapers Blade presents far less of a moral dilemma: it is on another plane, in a land filled with undead and assorted monsters. That one you plan on retrieving personally. It will be good to get out and get your hands dirty, rather than sitting in conference after meeting after briefing.

Plus, the weapon of a death god might not be safe for ordinary people to handle.

And lastly, the Soul Gem of Jankiris the mad. Made by a lich and (supposedly) capable of trapping the soul of *any* creature, it is held in a mountain-sized dungeon, part of the liches treasure hoard. For that one you have a particular group of succubi in mind. They can be a little...odd, but they get results.

So, what are you doing today?

>Work on getting the Heart, talk to Jal etc first
>Work on getting the Reapers Blade, time to dust off my halberd
>Make a plan for dealing with the Killing Frost (with whom?)
>Make a plan for dealing with the Lord of Life (with whom?)
>Other (what?)

Soul Gem is not yet an option, as I haven’t finalised the roster, sorry.

I'd vote to get the scythe first no matter what is to be done about the heart, so inquiring about how we'll be getting it is pointless for me anyway.

Does Sireyi and/or Sofia get an occasional report on how Mili is doing? Or a letter from Philly?

Also, how good are Succubi at artifice?

Could someone else make the Cloak of the Forest King, or only Sireyi?

We're taking Blue with us when we go for the Reapers Blade, right?
>>
>>39725829
Depends. We might need her to negotiate for the Heart. And frankly I'd feel safer kowing her on this plane watching out for us in case Delax tries something.
>>
>>39725829
I would prefer not to remove both Sireyis with so many enemies at our gates.
I can't think of anything in particular she could add to that mission, beyond raw strength.

If we need any demon-shotas choked, she could be useful.

26 weeks build time (on her own)

Currently only Sireyi can make it.

She can teach (some) others but Deific Power (or similar) is required to make it.

>>39725820
>Does Sireyi and/or Sofia get an occasional report on how Mili is doing? Or a letter from Philly?

Yes, will come up at some point in quest.

>Also, how good are Succubi at artifice?

They have no natural talent for it, and as wanderers did not have the opportunity to do much.

But as a race with natural magical powers, they could be *very* good at it, if given the opportunity.

anon, stop

You're giving me a boner

Sounds like we should let our Twin make it then, while we are gone to get the Scythe, she can spend the half year to make the cloak.
Or we could make it after returning from the scythe mission, depending on how long that takes.

We could probably do that sort of thing in our own Heaven, actually.

Not gonna vote for it though, because I absolutely hate that stuff. Even if it makes sense since its established as a think in-setting, plane hopping time optimization just rubs me wrong.
>>
>>39725918
There's literally nothing wrong with abusing time dilation.

Time dilation is like a training montage, but with no sacrifice or suffering. It's meaningless for storytelling purposes.
>>
>>39725980
It pretty much was just used to handwave Sireyis absence from her own plane as not so important, but it kinda ignored the huge implications of one plane moving at much faster speed than others.

That's only something wrong if you consider not abusing time dilation to be stupid. Otherwise, unless I'm missing something, you're just assuming that there's a reason without any actual evidence.

>we didn't plane hop for our last crafting either.
To be fair, these circumstances are different and I also think it would be for the best to do things quickly because of them.

>>39725980
So a training montage?

>>39726028
No, she just used a piece of our angelic power to flush her system so she didn't turn into a demon zombie. She was still a half-demon. She explicitly didn't want to take the solution that turned her into a mortal. We've met her after Drache and she's still a half-demon.

Have some new candidates for the roster OP

>Warrior

>She worked as an enforcer in a smaller succubi community, dispensing violence where the village chief requested it.
>Was occasionally summoned for services, but usually the conjurers were less than thrilled due to her martial specialisation which different kinds of fiends are better suited for.
>During one such summoning, cast in a moment of desperation when a wizard's guild was under attack by a pitchfork mob, the summoning ritual was performed with haste and without necessary failsafes and she found herself free on material world. She had enough presence of mind to disguise herself as a village girl and when the mob was done with the wizards, she was taken in as a liberated test subjects.
>Thanks to her strength and weapon training she spent some time working as mercenary and city guard until she was forced to reveal her true nature when facing an overwhelming bandit force. Survivors were grateful, but one of them sent demon hunters after her who in the end succeeded in tracking her down and banishing.
>Upon her return to hell she resumed her old job, although she brought some overworld mannerisms back with her.
>>
>>39726098
>these circumstances are different
Not really no. We have no more reason to do it now than before. In all cases time was pretty important.

>That's only something wrong if you consider not abusing time dilation to be stupid.
Having a time advantage over everyone else is pretty important. Delax could be having his weapons be fabricated in some time dilated plane and have a massive amount of them in a very short time compared to our plane.

>Druid/witch

>Rather unsociable by standards of her people, this demonic lady preferred company of non-sapient hellish wildlife to her sister. It's not known how she ended up this way, it might be related to her being one of few survivors of a raid on her village by another tribe of demons (possibly even different succubi?)
>Regardless she made most of her self-imposed exile and found interest in cataloguing and experimenting on various forms of fauna and flora found in the netherworlds. She wandered from one settlement to another and succubi she met found her findings, skills and brews to be useful alternative to their own sorcerous powers.
>She has mostly eluded summoning spells, be it due to her uncommon behaviour and character, or due to application of her techniques to herself, but on the rare occasion when she did get whisked through the aether she ended up discussing alchemy and lore with her summoner rather than doing whatever the bespectacled young magician originally had in mind. And it's for the better too, since the lengthy exchange of knowledge helped the summoner pass his alchemy exams next day.
>She was ecstatic when she learned of possibility to travel to another plane with completely new and alien nature and forms of life with Sireyi

You decide to speak to Jal and the others first before making any decision on the Heart of Azulkire. You’re in two minds about whether this will be a good thing for Vivi or not.

If Konigs offer was just an offer for Vivi to go to school with his sister, the decision would be easier. You could decide based upon the benefits offered by the different places Vivi could be learning.

As you consider the problem you rise and get dressed. Surprisingly the triplets do not come running into your room this morning. When you’re dressed in a long white robe and on your way to breakfast you see Ophinus flying down the corridor, carrying a pitcher of water, he’s headed for the girls room.

“Is everything alright?” you ask.

“Your progeny are unwell Creator” says Ophinus “Lady Anniya is with them now.”

Uh oh, that sounds serious, you head quickly towards the triplets bedroom, only to be intercepted by Aunt Anniya as she comes out of the room. The lights are out in there but you can see all three of them asleep.

“What’s wrong?” you ask Aunt Anniya as she closes the door “are they sick? They never get sick!” You might be hopping from foot to foot a little.

Your aunt gives you an amused look “They do if they stay up four hours past midnight eating more cookies and fruit pie than they usually get in a week.”

Your worry transforms to a desire to scold them “Why those scheming little-”

“Reminds me of another little girl with a sweet tooth” says your Aunt thoughtfully, stopping you in your tracks “Don’t worry, when they’re awake, I’ll talk to them, go on now, go be queen.” And with that, she sends you on your way.

As you head out to the yard, you try to think of any times you stole cookies and fruit pies. Your excellent memory highlights a long list of occasions. You dismiss the evidence and focus on what you’re doing today, teleporting out to gather up Isla, Jal and Sofia.
>>
The four of you are in Dalvin Keep, in a private room, so you can talk about it.

“Oh that sneaky, manipulative prick!” yells Sofia, after you outline Konigs offer “How dare He? How *dare* He?!”

“He probably thinks he’s doing what’s best for Vivi” says Isla, her brow furrowed in thought.

“You’re on His side?” asks Sofia, turning on Isla.

Isla stops staring into the middle distance and turns to Sofia, taking her by the shoulders “Of course not” she says in a calm tone “but thinking Konig has some master evil plan isn’t going to help, I think he means well, but good intentions alone don’t exonerate him.”

“Hmph!” responds Sofia “Why do you have to be so cerebral about everything Isla?”

“It’s just how I am” she responds, kissing Sofia on the cheek.

You notice Jal isn’t saying much, she is just sat in a chair, watching Sofia rant.

“Jal” you say, putting a hand on her shoulder “What do you think?”

“I think” says Jal carefully “that I don’t knows schools that well, Sireyi luv, you went ter paladin school with th’ meat’eads – what is it like?”

You recall that some of the students and the teachers were unkind, but you also made many friends there, and you really did enjoy the outdoor activities, what do you say to Jal?

>>39726153

I still think this deal would not be good for Vivi. A paladin school isn't where he could develop his talent in full, especially not one not even specialising in magic. Even less so compared to learning from Isla and Eladrins, possibly together with other natural magic-users.

I'm a bit confused by
>Tome of Arcane Knowledge: All wizard/sorcerer spells have a base XP cost of 1 for Isla, no matter their level.
More spells will be added to her list of spells known as time goes on.
Only appearing on the Party Powers paste, and not in islas own charsheet, does that mean need to purchase it first somehow?
>>
>>39726376
>Only appearing on the Party Powers paste, and not in islas own charsheet, does that mean need to purchase it first somehow?

When I (eventually) get round to adding them, some will be added as spells Isla simply *knows* and some will be added to the party powers paste as spells that can be learned.
>>
>>39726402
I was more referring to the benefit of only needing 1XP per spell.
>>
>>39726407
Which bit is unclear?

Isla pays only 1XP to learn any sorcerer/wizard spell, no matter its level.

She will spontaneously learn some spells for no XP cost through her own research.
>>
>>39726425
Okay, I was just confused because the Ability only appeared in the Party Powers sheet, and not on Islas own character sheet. So I thought we might still need to purchase that benefit.
>>
>>39726439
Ah ok, I see, there is no need to purchase it, no.
>>
“It was hard” you say, remembering “it was fun. I made enemies, and friends. I think their outdoor training was great, but some of the instructors and students....”

“Bad?” asks Jal sympathetically.

“Yes” you say “I was the only Paladin of Velya there, and unlike many of the other students, I had already been *chosen* by the time I went there. Many students go through paladin training and are not called by a god, or are called to serve as a priest instead. Those not called at all become knights, if they have the family connections, or if not they become professional soldiers, adventurers, a few follow shadier pursuits.”

“I made some good friends there” you say as you remember “Philly and I were close, but I had a small group of close friends...and a few hangers on.”

“Sycophants?” asks Sofia, raising an eyebrow and giving you a half-smile

“Of a sort” you admit “being half-angel and already a paladin meant some people thought if they followed me around, they might stand a better chance at getting chosen. That however” you add “also bred jealousy and enmity – a lot of students thought I must be arrogant and look down on them, Gustas was one I think.”

“So its ‘ard” says Jal “but worth it?”

“It was a very useful experience” you say “but the church of Konig taught me how to fight, the Church of Mazon how to think, and the Church of Yerra taught me about magic – though at the time I thought I had no talent for it beyond my paladin abilities.”

“Sounds like the Church of Yerra would be better for Vivi” says Sofia. Isla snorts and shakes her head.

“The Yerrans” says Isla, pulling a face “are a bunch of stuffy old men who are so traditionalist and hide-bound they wouldn’t know an original idea if it bit them!”

“Did they reject your paper again?” asks Sofia

“Yes!” says Isla, fuming “They said it was too radical, I bet they didn’t even understand it!”
>>
Privately you can admit that even you sometimes have difficulty following Isla’s work.

“We’re getting off-topic” you say gently, adding to Jal “My training at Konigs church was very useful, but they teach military skills there, not so much arcane ones. Konig has said that something will be worked out with a nearby mages guild, but that would still leave Vivi learning from, well, quite ordinary mages. Given his talents, maybe he needs more than that.”

“Yeah” says Jal, “I think we need to ask Vivi what he wants.”

“He’s eight” points out Sofia “He can’t make that choice”

“When I were eight I were stealing ter survive” says Jal stubbornly “I risked getting me neck wrung ter ‘elp me family ‘an friends.”

Isla shrugs “If nothing else, perhaps we should at least tell Vivi what’s going on?”

Be that as it may, you think, there’s so much happening that he won’t understand.
---
You arrive in Velya’s Heaven and are directed to Vivi, who is up a tree, dropping apples on the ground.

“What’re you doing Vivi?” you ask, looking up at him.

“Research” he says “gathering data”

“On apples?” you ask.

“Yes” he says, dropping the rest of his apples, climbing down the tree and picking them up and inspecting them carefully. He offers one to you “do you see?”

“See what?” you say, inspecting the apple, there doesn’t seem to be anything unusual about it.

“It’s not split, or bruised” says Vivi “normally they are.”

“We’re in Velya’s Heaven” you say to your son “the rules are different.”

“I know” says Vivi, picking up a book “I’ve been writing them all down, but I can’t figure out *why* some of the rules are different.”

Privately you think *because that’s how Velya wants it*, out loud you say “well I need you to come with me, I’ve been talking to your other mothers, and we want you input on a big decision.”

“What did Mili do *now*?” asks Vivi
---
Back in Dalvin you have explained to Vivi about the offer of school at Konigs Church. You haven’t told him about the reasons behind it though.

“So I can go to school with Mili?” says Vivi “Yes, why should she get all the fun?”

“The Church of Konig isn’t the best place for you to learn magic though Vivi” says Isla “with your talents, you’ll need the right sort of teachers.”

“What sort of mages do they have at Konigs church?” asks Vivi curiously.

“Useless ones” mutters Sofia under her breath.
>>
“They’re gonna make a deal with some other mages” explains Jal “You’ll have lessons wi’ them – either in their guild, or I dunno, they’ll come and see you at the church.”

Vivi nods “So what’s the problem?”

“They aren’t the right teachers either” you say “Vivi with your talents, you’ll need some very special teachers.”

“Like you?” asks Vivi “Or mama Isla?”

“Yes” you say “but the church is unlikely to want either of us there” plus your time is limited, but you don’t say that to him.

“Oh” says Vivi, thinking “why?”

“Because Konig is-” starts Sofia, then breaks off at a warning look from Jal, before continuing “wanting you and Mili to learn without distractions” though that’s probably not what she originally wanted to say.

Vivi thinks about this, and says “so who else could be my magic teacher?”

You all look at one another “Some of the eladrin?” you suggest.

“I have my own students” says Isla “some of them are excellent mages, and one wants to spend more time out of Oreia.”

“Adding a succubus to the Instructors roster?” says Sofia with a laugh “sure, let’s do that!”

“Sofia” you say chidingly. You’re not saying it with Vivi here but this is not an opportunity for her to needle Konig.

Jal says to Vivi “The followers of Yerra might be able ter teach yer too.”

Vivi thinks about this, before saying “Then my magic teacher seems to be a separate issue from me going to school with Mili. I want to go.”

Jal goes over and hugs him, he blushes “Smart kid” says Jal, to all of you she says “Settles it then, right?”

Sofia shakes her head “I’m against it” she says “but if he’s going, Isla’s student sounds like his best teacher.”

“As, um, proud as this sounds” says Isla “I think *I* should be his teacher, but I doubt Konig would go for that, so uh, yeah I say he shouldn’t go either.”

And stay forever dependant on his parents? We can choose a teacher for him, in case you are missing the second part of the vote.
>>
>>39726988
Its not just about the teacher though. The learning enviroment is immensly important for a childs learning progress, learning together with other talented magic users is significantly better for him than learning with future paladins that have only secondary, at best, interest in magic. Especially since he would also need to spend most of his time learning stuff completly irellevant to his interests.

One was reliant on sending Isla, and some on the succubus teacher. Honestly I have no idea why people would want to do that to the succubus to be trapped in such a incredibly hostile enviroment, but I guess they don't care. As long as they get Vivi as sidekick.
>>
>>39727055
>And stay forever dependant on his parents?
How does that make any sense? Parents picking their eight year olds school doesn't mean he will be "forever dependant", he is fucking 8, of course he's dependant on his parents.
>>
>>39727133
Good point.

Given how close the vote was, and the impact this could have on Junior Paladin Quest I am going to call for an FD vote on this, especially given that some of the votes were conditional on his teacher.

Konig would agree to Isla or a Succubus as Vivi's teacher

Vote in 5 minutes, apologies for slowing things down.

Isla as teacher seems a winner though.

“I’m against it” you say “it’s not the right place for Vivi to go to school, he’ll be in classes that won’t be the right thing for him to learn, and none of his peers will be having the same sort of teaching he will be getting, it will only isolate him.”

“Isla” you say to her “I think you would make a great teacher for Vivi.”

To Vivi you say “I’m sorry Vivi, but you’ll still be able to see Mili when she’s back from school.”

Jal throws up her hands “fine!” she says, “Guess I’m outvoted.”

Vivi draws himself up, you can see tears forming in his eyes as he says stoically “very well, thank you for asking me, mothers” then he turns to face Jal “I’d like to go to my room now” He then leaves the room at a fast walk.

Jal throws you all a dirty look and heads after him.

“Ouch” says Isla.

“He’ll understand when he’s older” says Sofia “besides, one or both of them will be taking over the Barony one day, they’ll have to learn about hard decisions sooner or later.”

“Still...” says Isla, looking at the door Vivi left through, perhaps thinking of her own daughters.

“So” says Sofia “that rules out Konig buying the Heart of Azulkire, leaving the Church of Velya, or Sireyi making some sort of magic item for the merchant, Sireyi” she says “who do you think is best to send to negotiate a price?”

“I’d need to know what he wants be to build” you say “before I can agree to anything”.

“Of course” says Sofia “any bargain struck will have to be conditional upon your approval, it might stretch things out a little with the back-and-forth, but I’ll manage.” And with that, Sofia seems to be putting herself forward as lead negotiator.

We said from the start we would make the decision ourselves. For a reason.
He is eight years old, a little child. He can't be expected to understand the actual reasons and issues involved in this decision and how it will dominate his life.
He's apart from his sister for the firt time in his life for a extended time, of course on the spot he would choose that. But his life can't be decided by such a gut feeling.
Nor should parents give into their childrens whims just because they get misty eyed about it.

Honestly, they said he was a smart kid. I figured he might be smarter than the average child and have something better to offer besides "I wanna be with Mili", but since that was his only reason, and the conversation completly failed to adress the actual issues.
His input just failed to matter in the end.

>>39727501
Does Sofia even have the time for such negotiations? Wouldn't she need to travel a lot for it?
If we send Blue, I expect her to keep the Heart, just saying. or at least it will be a headache to negotiate with her about her part of the deal.
On the other other hand, I don't really want to send Sofia away while Sireyi is gone too.
>>
>>39727653
The Heart is just a big bomb. As long as she's willing to use it on the KF, I don't really care if she insists on holding onto it before deployment.
>>
>>39727680
I actually feel similar, I did vote for sending her too. Would have preferred our own agents at the table too, however.
But, maybe if we leave the negotiations to her completly, we can get her too also craft the trade-item and let her just do the whole thing on her own. In the end it doesn't really matter who of us has it.

>>39727739
It was possible he was as supernaturally intelligent as Islas children, so he might have understood the importance of the learning enviroment himself and the implications of going to school in a place tailored to fostering his sisters talents instead of his own and always requiring his own tutor completly seperate from his peers.

I mean, that would have been pretty damn mature of him. Not something you could have expected, but it was possible.

“My sister should go” you say “the Azure Empress.”

“Any reason?” asks Sofia, giving you a penetrating look

“Several” you say, knowing that if you mention being worried about her safety she’ll get angry “but most importantly because she understands the limits of what I can and can’t make – and how much time it will take. She’ll know what I could be committing myself to, allowing her to drive a harder bargain.”

Sofia nods “that makes sense” she says “and who will your sister be taking?”

You shrug “I have no idea: whoever she chooses I expect.”

“Can she even go?” asks Isla “I mean, her time must be valuable, what with ruling a nation of orcs.”

“We’ll find out” you say.
---
“I don’t see how you can even hear yourself think in here!” you yell at your demonic twin

“It’s ok once you get used to i!” she yells back.

The two of you are in a vast stone building and all around you orc blacksmiths are hammering out weapons, armour and tools of all kinds.

When you went to see your twin, she insisted on showing you what she’d been up to whilst you were founding Oreia.

It turns out, quite a lot...

“One of the orcs biggest failings!” yells your sister “shoddy weapons and armour – the best stuff they had was stolen from dwarves, or given to them by demons, but now, I’ve got them building their own, in large numbers!”

That’s not all she’s shown you. The Azure Empire has several, well, not exactly mages guilds, more shamans, but several centres for teaching magic, a number of large-scale weapon and armour manufactories, and your sister is starting to build mystical power armour suits for her most loyal guards.

“And you’re not worried this will provoke the nearby tribes into a war?!” you yell.

“We’re already at war! They might not know it yet, but we are!” responds your sister “I’m trying to win it!”

Oh that doesn’t give you a bad feeling at all....
>>
“I need to talk to you in private!” you say

“This way!” your sister says, leading you outside, and far away from any listeners.

You explain to her your plan for the Killing Frost, and how you intend to purchase the Heart of Azulkire.

“And I want you to do the negotiating” you say “I Trust you, and you know what can be made with celestial iron.”

“Or Abyssal Brass” she says, nodding “Ok, I‘ll do it, are you wanting me to share the workload if he wants items in trade?”

“What did you have in mind?” you ask.

Your sister gives you a crafty look “Well the way I see it, you can do all the work, and the Herat is yours, I’ll just charge a small fee – maybe pick up a lessor item the merchant has, that you pay for.”

Ah, here we go...

“Or” she says “I could probably find the time, if I had to, to do all the work, but the thing is mine, to use as I see fit, sound fair?”

“Sounds foolish” you counter “since its just going to be used to destroy the Killing Frost.”

“Only if you fail to find the Reapers Blade” she says “that’s the condition, when you confront the Killing Frost I go with you, so does the Heart. *if* you can’t kill it with the Reapers Blade, then we use the Heart. If you can, then I keep the Heart.”

Or, you think, the two of you could share the work, your sister gets to look after the Heart, but agrees to consult you before dropping it on someone she dislikes.

“This assumes we’re going to be trading” you say, buying yourself time to think, “and not just paying coin.”

“True” says your sister “but really, you think bankrupting Velya is the way to go?”

No, probably not you concede.

Your response?

It'll free both of them up for other things faster than doing it alone while consuming less Deific Power from either of the two, leaving them both with more to work with than if they had made it independently, and the attached condition should keep her possible possession of the Heart from biting us in the ass.

>>
>>39727972
>You do the work, you keep the Heart
>Did you consider inviting the other tribes into your realm, peacefully?
Thats the ideal deal, thats all we could want, and our finances are so strained even her small item would take a lot from us.
>>
>>39728036
They'd be splitting the work for the same resultant item, halving the contribution of Deific Power from each of them to create the artefact in question. Same total consumption, but less drain on either of their resources than independent creation.

I am making some assumptions about how artefact creation works, but I can't see it working in a way that doesn't split the cost of the artefact between participant gods/avatars.
>>
>>39728049
>>39728040
>>39728031

>>
>>39728067
I had understood you to say that it will take less DP overall, no obviously it would split the cost between the two, but I see don't see what difference that makes, considering we can always just give her the DP back.

On the other hand, we can't get the time back Sireyi would need to invest. And thats still 13 weeks.
>>
>>39728062
Until she drops the Heart on Orlath for threatening her kids, you mean.

>>
>>39728097
>Until she drops the Heart on Orlath for threatening her kids, you mean.
Eh, she is way too pragmatic to waste the heart like that. She would at maximum drop it when ortlath actually hurts the children.
And then I say, good. Let her.
>>
>>39728097
>Because I don't want to leave the absurdly powerful magical explosive in Blue's hands to do with as she pleases given her propensities?
She would still come to us before expending a weapon against the LoL like that, so its not like we won't have time to intervene and convince her of a alternative.
>>
>>39728074
Because the Heart is basically a Nuke and we'd like to have some say in how/when to use it? Besides for using it against the Killing Frost.
>>
>>39728130
You people and your silly obsession with nukes always.
Its not like she doesn't already have all the materials she needs to unleash massive destruction on whoever she wants. She got all the Huroni knowledge we got in her head.
>>
>>39728088
DP transference takes a point of DP, so there is a *very* slight gain.

Assuming we can get the Scythe in under 13 weeks, it's a more efficient use of time when acquiring the weapons than independent construction.
>>
So your sister does the work and keeps it

And talking peace wins (combining write-ins with asking her to ease back on war prep)
>>
>>39728130
>>39728097
How about you guys take a short look at her charsheet and see it says "Intelligence 24".
She is not retarded. Blue knows perfectly well Sireyi would not let her get away with killing innocents, ever. And she knows perfectly well how Sireyi would kick her shit in in a fight.
Sireyi can take away half her powers whenever she wants. Blue is the pragmatic one of the two, she knows perfectly well she can't fight the Lord of Life without Sireyi, she isn't going to basically surrender to it by starting that fight.
>>
>>39728165
Fuck. Why are you guys so intent on not powering up? War is knocking at our door and Oreia doesn't have a proper army, Blue was supposed to be our backup.
>>
>>39728157
>it's a more efficient use of time when acquiring the weapons than independent construction
No? What? We get the Scythe anyway, so that time expenditure will happen regardless. The question is just if we spend additional 13(roughly) weeks crafting that item and spend a unknown amount of money on her trinket, or do we have time to do something else.
>>
>>39728201
We are intent on powering up, thats why we choose the option whith which we powerup the most. What are you talking about?
>>
>>39728222
>Herp derp dont build an army maybe if you talk to them they'll listen
>>
>>39728144
A magical nuke is a magical nuke, anon. This item in particular is very similar to a nuke. The only thing I can think of that's close would be the Spear of Ramuh.

Not sure how the Huroni knowledge is relevant given that it's magical nuke requires all the nodes to work.

>>39728207
If she crafts it independently, then that's 26 weeks before we fight the Killing Frost, minimum, unless you want to forgo the Heart.

If we craft it together in 13 weeks and find the Scythe in 12 or fewer, we can fight the Killing Frost at an earlier time.
>>
>>39728222
Anon, you are choosing to not build a strong army. Armies are power ups for the nation.
>>
>>39728236
If you would actually read instead of being whiny idiot, you would realise basically no one, and certainly no majority, voted for telling her to stop or lessen her war-preparations.
We told her to try inviviting them into her empire, which would boost her manpower without needing to invest military resources fighting them.
>>
>>39728201
Because asking her to ease off war prep will make negotiations with Muiren in regards to an alliance easier which will contribute a larger overall gain than Bluey continuing to manufacture at 100% for the duration it will take us to persuade Muiren.

“If you’re willing to do the work” you say “Then you get to keep it, provided as you said: that you’ll use it on the Killing Frost if the Reapers Blade doesn’t kill it.”

“Of course” your twin agrees “I’ll start putting together a diplomatic mission, I guess that’ll be me and...some of my shamans and guards. Sofia will run things whilst I’m away.”

“Speaking of running things” you say “All this preparation for war sister, isn’t it too much? Have you tried working it out peacefully? Inviting them to join you?”

The Azure Empress laughs heartily “Oh sister!” she says, wiping tears from her eyes “They’re orcs and beastmen!” She pats you on the shoulder “the peaceful option is me turning up with an army that vastly outnumbers them and tell them to surrender – they’ll just dismiss anything that’s not an overwhelming show of force.”

“Either of us are capable of using a lot of force if required” you say “building an army isn’t needed.”

You sister calms down a little “unfortunately it is” she says “Look, Sireyi, I can’t keep people out of my realm as easily as you can, my own Sanctuary has little effect on orc and beastman raids, and they do raid, constantly. My army is needed to protect my borders, and to expand them. I do invite rival tribes to join me, the smart ones do, and the dumb ones get driven off the battlefield.”

“I still think there should be another way” you say.

“With smarter foes” says your sister “There would be, I’ll look up this merchant as soon as I can sister, I promise.”

You wonder at the wisdom of leaving such a potent weapon in the hands of another. But then, she’s your sister, she’ll tell you long before she actually uses it.

With the acquisition of the Heart of Azulkire sorted, what are you up to next?

According to the Instructors, Sera got lost, you all snuck off to find her, despite being told not to, and you all had to be rescued by the Instructors!

You spoke to Aunt Philly about it but she only said “Concessions had to be made in order for Sera to stay.”

Which doesn’t make any sense either!

This one time, you went to this place called Drache and you saw a circus show and there were some skeletons that told jokes and fell down and performing animals and acrobats and fire-eaters and stuff.

There was this place called a *Concession Stand* where they sold fruit pies and like pink clouds on a stick made of sugar.

You don’t understand what making fruit pies has to do with Sera staying, or why the instructors are lying.

Your friends know the truth, but your classmates have been teasing you all, and they don’t believe you when you tell them what really happened.

You’re in Magical Theory class, which is boring, and for nerds. Chesi, Michael and Jenny are with you.

The teacher, Master Kilsington, has been checking an expensive-looking pocket watch for most of the lesson, and looks nervous. He hasn’t been doing much teaching, he’s just told you to read chapters from your books and make notes. Michael and Jenny have been doing so without complaint, and Chesi is trying, but you’re bored!

Suddenly, Master Kilsington gets up and says “Cadets, I’m afraid I must go, a replacement teacher will be here shortly, just keep taking notes.” And then he almost runs out of the classroom.

You exchange puzzled looks with Chesi, Jenny and Michael. Then the two of them go back to taking notes.

The rest of the class...start talking, and stop working.

Considering its all bog and swamps, a small army is probably a liability more than anything else.
A small group seems better.
Maybe we can get Sireyis mother to join, she seemed interested. Ebonsong is a good choice for swamps. Possibly Isla, if she has nothing else to do.

Military doctrine for orcs and ogre will differ wildly from military doctrine for succubi.
What they could benefit from is basic understanding of formations, logistics and such. Which the empire is itself not that experienced with, and we are better of asking war-angels to educate us in that.

“C’mon!” you say to Chesi “Let’s go!”

“Where’re you going?” asks Jenny

“Going to see where he’s going” you explain.

“You’ll get in trouble” says Michael

“Cover for us if the new teacher arrives” suggests Chesi, giving Michael a sly wink.
---
None of the other cadets seem bothered by you and Chesi leaving. You follow Mister Kilsington as quickly and as quietly as possible. Eventually he stops at an old cellar door. He takes out a key, unlocks a lock, heaves the door up and heads down, closing it behind himself.

You and Chesi rush over and you *just* manage to open it, with the two of you, but it’s a very heavy door, then you follow him down into the darkness.

It’s so dark down here that you can’t see, but Chesi can, and she guides you through the darkness, until you can see candle-light up ahead.

You come out into a deep cellar room with magical symbols all over the walls, floor and ceiling. There’s also a pile of broken tables and chairs that provides a convenient hiding place for you and Chesi.

And in the middle of the room...

Master Kilsington isn’t that old, for an adult, he has a very short black beard, more of a fuzz than anything, and he’s kneeling down in front of a big magical circle. Inside the circle is a succubus!

But what is she doing here? And why doesn’t she have any clothes?

You don’t recognise her, but then, Oreia is a big place, and you haven’t met all of them.

Master Kilsington is mumbling something “Good, good!” he says happy, rubbing a hand through his hair “it’s intact, good.”

“You know” says the succubus in a throaty voice, kneeling down opposite him, still inside the circle “you wouldn’t have to come and check so often if you had the money to buy proper silver dust, and weren’t having to make do with salt, I *could* help you with that, riches, a position of respect, if only you’d let me help you....”
>>
“No, no!” he recoils from her “I don’t need that, I just, I need to know more about your kind, how to defeat you, this is vital work entrusted to me by the- er, entrusted to me!”

“Come closer” she whispers to him “we can get to know each other *very* well.”

He backs further away “I just came to check on the circle” he says, waving what looks like a holy symbol of Konig on a chain “cease your temptations, demon!” She gives him an amused look in response.

And with that, Master Kilsington adds more salt to the circle, and then leaves. You and Chesi are still behind the pile of broken tables and chairs. You hear the lock of the cellar door go *click*, that’s not good.

“Why does he have someone trapped down here?” you wonder in a whisper “and how do we get out?”

“We need to free her!” insists Chesi, also whispering.

“Who’s there?” calls out the succubi “Is someone there?”

You walk out from behind the tables and chairs, Chesi comes with you.

As you get closer the Succubi changes, now she looks like a kind woman in rich clothing.

“Well hello there girls” she say cheerily “what’re you doing down here?”

“We followed Master Kilsington” says Chesi “He was acting strange.”

“He’s so strange isn’t he!” says the woman “He thought I was some sort of demon, and trapped me here, isn’t that silly? Now would you girls mind letting me out? All you need to do is brush away some of the salt” She points to the circle of white powder that forms part of the magical circle.

“Oh ok” says Chesi, heading forwards.

Not really. Not all succubi lived in hell, other plans have succubus populations, like Drache for example. And some succubi serve Demon Lords, and probably don't like the whole Exodus to begin with.
And, well, they're evil. Having reason for gratitude, doesn't mean they will behave nice just because Mili asks her to.

You grab hold of Chesi’s arm, she looks at you in confusion “not yet” you whisper “why is she lying?”

Chesi’s eyes go wide and she stops. You step forward to the edge of the circle “What’s your name?”

“Why I’m Lady Fiona de Winters” she says with a friendly smile “I’m a very important person, if you let me out, I’ll see that you get a reward.”

That doesn’t sound right, that’s not like any succubi name you know, that’s more like a human name.

“Are you from Oreia?” you ask

Lady de Winters eyes widen momentarily and then she says “I’ve never heard of such a place.”

“Have you heard of Sireyi Valyenya?” you ask.

“Ah no” she says, narrowing her eyes slightly at you

Well that settles that.

“Who are you really?” you ask

“What do you mean?” she says, looking confused.

“You changed shape” you say “You’ve never heard of Oreia and you don’t know my uh, you don’t know Sireyi who is a very important person, I think you’re a real Succubus, and maybe not a nice one.”

*Lady de Winter* resumes her natural, nude, succubi form, including claws, some sort of armour-plating on her hands and legs, a lathe pair of wings, horns, and a long tail. This close you can also see she has very large muscles, like a prize fighter. She looks like a succubus, but at the same time, not.

“You’re a couple of strange kids” she says, cupping her chin with one hand “Who are you?”

“What’s your name?” you ask “Your *real* name?”

She gives a quick laugh “smart kid, but true names aren’t exactly a thing you know, my name is Faian-Throkos.”

“Why were you summoned?” you ask “And why do you look so....” you point to her armoured limbs.

Faian-Throkos gives you a rather confused stare for a few minutes before answering.

“Limp Dick” she says “wanted to know ways of hurting succubi without it being obvious, tailored poisons, weaknesses and the like. Ways to harm and kill a succubus without it hurting any humans or other mortals. It seems he knows someone he thinks is a succubus and wants to expose them. I told him to get a priest. As for my looks, well I’m a succubi-pit lord cross breed, quite a rarity if I do say so myself, hence the double name, which your friend” she nods at Chesi, who holds your hand tightly “knows I think.”

“So what are you?” she asks

“What do you mean?” you ask

“Two little girls” she says “who know the name of a succubi legend as old as the planes, and who recognise the significance in a demon with two names, got a little hellbreed in you?”

“No” you answer truthfully.

This is interesting, so succubi make crossbreeds even with other demons. Does that mean all 'regular' succubi are descendants of succubi pairs?
That has some pretty interesting implications on succubus demographics, mainly that not only can they reproduce with eachother, but that they apparently do so pretty often, I had thought they would usually breed with other demons.

Thats not quite true. Not all succubi are independent. In fact, most aren't, thats why the ones we found were all basically refugees.

The fact that she hasn't heard about the 'new' Oreia, makes me think we might be able to send her to Sireyi. Afterall, Mili mknows the succubi came from oreia to flee hell, so it would be IC for her to at least suggest.

They were living like refugees because of the whole 'trapped in Hell subject to constant raids' thing, which is the closest independent succubi have to a settlement. I don't think we've ever heard anything one way or the other in regards to independent/dependent disparity, but given that they're hunted down as a food source, I'd wager most leans towards independence with dependent ones being either disposable/emergency rations or very, very skilled.

“I’m not sure making a deal is a good idea” you say to Faian-Throkos, pulling Chesi away out of earshot “what’s so scary?” you ask Chesi.

“It’s her name” says Chesi “*Throkos* is a word that means, ah well it’s hard to translate into common, but it means something like *savage and brutal leader to be feared and obeyed*.”

“Oh” you say “So she’s definitely not a nice succubus.”

“Probably not” says Chesi “but...”

“But what?” you ask

“But mixed-blood succubi may take on their non-succubi parents name” says Chesi “to try to win their respect sometimes, she might not *be* Throkos, that could be her father.”

“But it could be her?” you ask “That’s all *grr* and scary?”

“Maybe, I don’t know” says Chesi, shrugging.

This sounds like a problem that’s too big for you right now.

“Let’s look for a way out” you say to Chesi.

“Yeah” she agrees.

You try the door first, but its locked, and no amount of banging or yelling brings help.

Then you start to explore the cellar, it’s pretty big and there’s a lot of junk around here.

Eventually you find a small hole in a side passage, through which you can just see sunlight. It’s too narrow for you, but Chesi can change her shape, maybe...

Chesi evidently has the same idea, and before your eyes she starts to change into a long, thin, worm-like Chesi, small enough to escape up the small hole that’s a little wider than your fist.

“Are you going to be ok down here?” asks Chesi, a squeaky high-pitched voice “while I get help?”

“I’ll be fine” you reassure her “will you be ok?”

“Of course” says Chesi reassuringly “I’ll head straight for Aunt Philly- er I mean, Instructor Ophilians office.”

“Ok” you say “I’ll stay and talk to Faian-Throkos, find out what she knows.”

“Be careful” says Chesi, as she starts to squirm into the hole.

You head back to the circle.

“Where did your friend go?” asks Faian-Throkos, now she’s laid down in the circle on her side, her head propped up by one hand, looking relaxed.

“To get help” you say “so you can go home.”

“Interesting” she replies, but a strange look goes across her face when you mention her going home.

“What did you tell Master Kilsington?” you ask, might as well start with what he knows that might hurt Chesi.”

“How about this” says Faian-Throkos “You ask a question, then I ask a question, sound good.”

“Uh, sure” you say, you can’t see the harm in that.

“I didn’t tell him anything” says Faian-Throkos “His spell lacked the power to compel me, and I enjoyed toying with him, I hadn’t even gotten to telling him false succubi weaknesses like true love, a paladins ah, *sword* or jellyfish.”

“What’s your question?” you ask, filing away the idea of Succubi not being weak against a paladins sword, maybe you should take up axe-fighting, instead?

“Where am I?” asks Faian-Throkos “And don’t say *in a magic circle* or *a cellar* thank you, what plane, country or continent please.”

“In Dornmer, on Dahandran” you say “in a church of Konig?”

“I would like to know” you say “about where you come from, what’s your home like?”

“Full of fire and brimstone and tortured souls” says Faian-Throkos with a smile, her smile slips when she adds “and ruled by my father, its a layer of hell called Kyranticos, if you let me out, I could show it to you.”

“Um, not today” you say “Your turn.”

Faian-Throkos pauses and then says “What price, would you want, in return for getting me out of here alive, and letting me free in Dornmer?”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea” you say.

“I’ll throw in not harming you or your friend ever” says Faian-Throkos “Seriously girl, what do I need to do for you to let me free up here, rather than going back home, or when the No Fun Allowed patrol arrives, getting killed?”

We can order her to go meet with Sireyi before the six months end. And you also forget that making her promise to go to Sireyi won't mean anything, beacuse she can take as long as she wants to do that; she could take 50 years after being freed to pay Sireyi a visit.

Why would a priest of Konig summon a angel of Delax?
And how would that even remotly help? Its not like its that hard to get a audience with Sireyi or get close to her. Coming as a dubious possibly evil succubus isn't exactly the best way to make her lower her guard.
>>
>>39732407
Now I copy what others have said: She's 8. yadda yadda yadda.
She could very well kept a short leash on the succubus, if the demon was made into a servant. And no, she can't make sure the woman goes to Sireyi any time soon. Heck, she could live three centuries before meeting Sireyi.
>>
>>39732497
>She could very well kept a short leash on the succubus
No, because she doesn't have a leash. And the she's 8 is not a excuse because she has in-character recognized her as possibly dangerous and bad.

And yes she can, by telling Philly to make sure she goes to Oreia. Its a church full of damn Paladins.
>>
>>39732497
>And no, she can't make sure the woman goes to Sireyi any time soon.
Well, either she can, by specifying immediately in the deal, or her ability to keep a short leash as a servant would be irrelevant, since she doesn't have to respect the deal and would just leave.
>>
>>39732408

From what I've seen Pally will offer a lot of choices that could be qualified as IC one way or another. Especially when establishing a character. Some may be the right choice, others may be the wrong choice. Others will be a choice Pally knows some players want.

Pally just likes to have interesting things happen in quests.
>>
>>39732544
>she doesn't have to respect the deal and would just leave.

>>39732550

>>
>>39732577
Then tell me, does she have to respect the deal, or doesn't she? Either way, the choices are just as valid or invalid as each other. You can't have her forced to respect a deal with the thing you want but assume she'll be able to shirk it with the thing you don't. That's a logical fallacy.
>>
>>39732587
If it was an alternative to something worse or she was tricked into doing it? Yes she should.

Also hot Amazon Balrong succubutt.
>>
>>39732577

“I’d only free you” you say “if you promise to go straight to Oreia to see Sireyi Valyenya as fast as you could without hurting anyone, unless they tried to hurt you first, and you spoke to my mama, er Sireyi.”

“Nice one kid” says Faian-Throkos, winking and giving you a thumbs up “but Oreia doesn’t exist, it’s a legend.”

“It does exist” you say stubbornly “It’s a nation of Dahandran, in the Tribal Lands, my mother rules it.”

“Are you saying” says Faian-Throkos “That there’s a human nation here that just happens to have the name Oreia, and your mother is in charge?”

“I think there are some humans there” you say “but mostly it’s got succubi in it.”

Faian-Throkos just stares at you for a moment “ok” she says “I can tell you’re not lying, but that sounds crazy.”

“It’s true” you say “Why didn’t you go to Oreia when it was made, if your home is so bad?”

“Before you told me” says Faian-Throkos, spreading her hands “I didn’t know it existed.”

“Ok” you say “your turn.”

Faian-Throkos takes a breath and then you hear a distant *crash* and then you can hear Aunt Philly shouting your name, as well as some other adults, you’re saved!

Faian-Throkos jumps to her feet “oh great, Konigs boys in silver are here, and I’ll bet the Immovable Rods up their rears are freshly-inserted.” She looks towards the sound of what is probably the cellar door being smashed in, and then turns back to you.

“Ok, crunch time kiddo, I accept the deal, I swear on my name that I, Faian-Throkos, promise to go straight to Oreia to see Sireyi Valyenya as fast as I can without hurting anyone, unless they tried to hurt me first, and I try to speak to Sireyi as soon as possible, now please, will you break the circle?”
>>
>>39732720

If we help her out, Mili gets yelled and maybe worse for making a deal with a potentially evil demon and Sireyi makes further decisions on the demon in question.

If we don't let her out, she may return as an antagonist for Mili or stuck suffering at home.
>>
She sounds truly scared, but that’s Aunt Philly coming, she won’t hurt Faian-Throkos if she hasn’t done anything bad.

And can you truly trust her to keep to the deal? You didn’t summon her, and you’re no magic expert, will she have to keep to the deal? You don’t know.

But those other voices with Aunt Philly that are calling your name, they could be paladins or priests of Konig, and they could hurt Faian-Throkos rather than talk to her.

You dither a little, not sure what to do, your gaze switching back and forth between the direction you can hear Aunt Philly and others coming from, and Faian-Throkos – on her knees now, her hands up, begging you, her face a mask of fear.

Will you free her?

On one hand she's natural liar and manipulator, so if we free her we might end up with a hostage situation.

We could free her and spin it as having accidentally stepped on the circle when we heard the commotion, but the deception doesn't sit very well with me.

I would like to send her back as Milis bodyguard after Sireyi finds out what sort of shit Mili has to deal with. Especially since Sofia had actually threatened to banish the entire church from Dalvin if Mili gets hurt in school. And she did get hurt.

>Does our Angelic Magic discount on spell buying function when purchasing non-Arcane spells through Divine XP?

Yes

>If we purchase Divine spells via methods other than Deific Power, can our priests can still access them?

Yes

I figure it is 50/50 on which Sireyi she runs into also.

Stolen!

Firm believer in school of hard knocks.

>Apply know, Healers are standing by!
>>
>>39733333
Huh. Do the kids consider the Azure Empress another mommy or is she like an aunt?

I'm surprised she hasn't tried to spend more time with them.
>>
>>39733581
She probably has off-screen. Its only been a week or so since we returned afterall.

Before Hiatus they called her mommy too.
>>
>>39733581

I think so. She was sneaking time in beforehand and she is likely less willing to listen to reason if they are hurt also.

She is less momma bear, more Momma demonic dire bear.

Expend 1 Deific Power for 3 Divine XP

Divine XP 9/10 spent
>Priest L1: Command, Detect Poison, Endure Elements, Light, Purify Food and Drink, Bane -1 Divine XP
>Priest L2: Blindness/Deafness, Calm Emotions, Charisma, Consecrate: Fills area with positive energy, making undead weaker, Create Food and Water, Darkness, Endurance, Invisibility Purge, Locate Object, Make Whole, Magic Circle against Chaos/Evil/Good/Law, Magic Vestment, Remove Blindness/Deafness, Remove Paralysis, Resist Energy, Searing Light, Shield Other, Silence, Speak with Dead, Strength, Water Breathing, Water Walk, Wind Wall, Wisdom, Undetectable Alignment -5 Divine XP
>Priest L3: Break Enchantment, Dimensional Anchor, Dismissal, Freedom of Movement, Spell Resistance, Tongues, Sending, Disrupting Weapon, Discern Lies, Air Walk, Scrying, Planar Ally (Minor) -3 Divine XP

We could also go into the L4 and L5 spells if people want to and are willing to expend a significant (~6 for L4, ~14 for both) amount of Deific Power.

1 Divine XP left in case there are any particular spells people want that I neglected to add.
>>
>>39733856
I think it's worth it to spend 14 for both.
>>
>>39733856
I say it worth it. Regeneration, Heal, Refuge are some good spells even for Sireyi.
>>
>>39733856

I would say worth it, to get the ability to priests to be more useful.

With what is coming up, followers will need power too.
>>
>>39733856
Do it. Both of'em.
>>
Expend 12 Deific Power for 36 Divine XP.

Divine XP 36/37 spent
>Priest Magic Level 4 -12 Divine XP
>Priest Magic Level 5 -15 Divine XP
>Priest L4: Blade Barrier, Cure Critical Wounds, Destroy Undead, Destruction, Planar Ally, Refuge, Regenerate, Repulsion, Word of Recall, Quest, Control Weather, Symbol of Stunning -4 Divine XP
>Priest L5: Antimagic Field, Dimensional Lock, Gate, Heal, Holy Aura, Unholy Aura, Planar Ally (Major), True Resurrection, Earthquake, Soul Bind -5 Divine XP

Estimation wound up being a little high.

I know it's a little weird to get Unholy Aura, but our Priests are simultaneously Good and Evil creatures, so spells of either type could seriously hurt them.

Soul Bind for the same reasons Sireyi got it - to protect souls, rather than imprison them. Earthquake to fill space, since these spells need to be purchased in pairs at this level.

Still 1 Divine XP left in case there are any particular spells requested that I neglected to buy.
>>
>>39734186
>but our Priests are simultaneously Good and Evil creatures, so spells of either type could seriously hurt them
Thats actually a worry I had about the interaction of our priests and succubi with Blasphemy/Holy Word. But Pally didn't tell us, so we seem to need to find that out in-character.
>>
Well it's going to make creating the priestess interesting at least
>>
>>39734186
Works for me.
>>
>>39734186
Could we use some DeificPower/DivineXP to finally give Isla Level 5 spells?
Its really ridiculous she doesn't have any at this point.
>>
>>39734186
>I know it's a little weird to get Unholy Aura, but our Priests are simultaneously Good and Evil creatures, so spells of either type could seriously hurt them.
Would it be better not to get either? At least until we know.
>>
>>39734338
I think its better to get them, so we can find out as soon as possible.
>>
>>39734213
Part of why I avoided those spells.

>>39734217
Don't forget the flavor changes to the all the spells from purchasing them with Divine XP.

:^)

>>39734288
She should have XP of her own to spend, actually, but it's been a while since those numbers were updated.

>>39734338
Unholy Aura and Holy Aura are non-offensive buffing spells that can *hypothetically* function perfectly fine buffing a creature of the opposing alignment with no ill effects.

And like the other guy said, we do need to find out sooner or later, better to find out from a screwed up buff than something like Blasphemy.

Cheeky Bugger

Alright, might have to refluff these somewhat.

At least they'll be Succubi safe

Or would be, if you had the Succubi Domain
>>
>>39734345
Ok, if no one can come up with a way to check I'll back it.
>>
>>39734449
>spoiler
Well, fuck.
>>
>>39734409
Well, it currently says 302/302, she should get some from our last update to XP, but not enough to make a meaningful jump.
The XP could also be used to buy Isla spells Sireyi doesn't have yet. And since we get a large batch of DP next thread, for Blues folllowers, I figured it would be a good time.

>>39734409
>Or would be, if you had the Succubi Domain
Or you know what? Forget. Next thread, we buy the succubus domain, shit is getting problematic, and the domain will basically buy itself anyway.
>>
>>39734449
You planned to make Sireyi a demon goddess for how long? Since we set foot in hell, or since you plotted the mother rescue arc in first place?
>>
Thanks for the awesome thread pally! You and your quest is aces all the way.
>>
>>39734493
I don't see how she would be a demon goddess, if she got both he angel and a demon domain.
Thats a pretty odd way to calculate it.
>>
>>39734470
>>39734464
Good news!

the extra orcs/beastmen in the Azure Empire provide an extra 160 Deific Power - updated next thread

>>39734493
>You planned to make Sireyi a demon goddess for how long?

Lies and heresy
>>
>>39734449
Autism. Buy the succubus domain thingy!

Or whatever.
>>
>>39734526
>>39734409
Seconding this. We still get the 433DP right?
So it nearly buys itself, and we get the loss back in DP on the discount for the priestesses we need to mint anyway to deal with the winter after killing the Frost.
>>
>>39734521
Will we have enough for the domain?
>>
>>39734521
>Lies and heresy
He denies his lies, that makes it true! We've been had!
>>
>>39734583
420+160. We would, it costs 500. And we get 433 from buying it for the extra-gain from our succubi followers.
>>
>>39734583
580 less those AA spent upthread by my calculations
>>
If we drop off, we might want to take this to the archive.
https://archive.moe/tg/thread/39725758/#q39725758
>>
Might have to continue on moe tg, or next thread
>>
>>39734598
Do we still get the 433, or was that just bonus we could have accrued over the three years?
>>
>>39734660
433 is from succubi so its indepedent of extra orcs and beastmen
>>
>>39734470
As the anon who spent the last tread before PRQ arguing the no vote till it archived I'll back this.
I would have been ok with taking it if we would have been able to swap it out for another (rather than buy a new one) if we expanded our worship base before but that would have opened a can of power gaming worms I would not want in this quest.
>>
>>39734593
>We've been had!
>implying I didn't see it coming and embraced it
Sireyi the Saviour!
>>
>>39734685
On the upside, with the bonus and our succubus populations growth rate of 52%, we aren't going to be far away from the next Domain either.
>>
>>39734449
>Spoiler
That brings up an interesting point - if Sireyi was to acquire a domain, would things purchased with Divine XP retroactively become flavored with the new domain in mind?

You just love making more work for yourself, don't you?

>>39734470
>not enough to make a meaningful jump
It should be enough to get her access to fifth-level spells, and due to a combination of Angels Magic discounts and the Tome, the spells themselves are incredibly cheap. Although her Angels Magic could probably use some buffing, it's only L3 right now.

>the domain will basically buy itself anyway.
More than buy itself in a few years given the absurd reproductive rate of Succubi combined with the Life domain's benefits.

>>39734526
>>39734549
Not until next thread.
>>
>>39734683

I'll vote for it, just to get safe spells for succubuts.
>>
>>39734743
Nah, let's buy it now if we can.
>>
>>39734743
>would things purchased with Divine XP retroactively become flavored with the new domain in mind?

Yes
>>
>>39734743
>Not until next thread.
Curse your integrity AA. Alright. Lets vote on it at the beginning of next thread, if you insist.
Reminds me of the good old Aspect votes.
