You are Princess and Ruler Lumora of the Treeline Kingdom, Bloodslayer, And Bandit Queen of Hearts.
When we last left our princess some of your peasants had become farmers, successfully raided a caravan, and held our ground against the local dragon and his witch cult, coming to a mutual understanding of avoiding interference with each other. You have since returned from said meeting and are now delighted to see some small cottages forming around your castle.

Skills:
>Moderate Military Tactics
>Advanced Leadership
>Advanced Swordsmanship
>Advanced Horse riding
>Expert Court Etiquette

Resources:
>1 Purebreed Hourse
>3 mules
>1 Cart
>10 peasants
>10 farmers
>70 warriors
>20 bandits
>2 Bandit Lords
>8 rangers
>1 Cleric
>1 Elf Ranger Trainer
>2 wooden forts, 1 heavily trapped
>1 Small Forest Castle
>4000 gold
>somewhat stable food income

While you were out, Haroldnarl, the dwarf leader of your raiding party, had captured one the merchants on the caravan raid.

So, Princess, what shall we do with him?

You are a princess after all, might as well put your expert court etiquette to good use.

You set up a table in your small throne room, setting up a cup of tea for the two of you should he enjoy some. He is lead by two of your warriors to the room, Haroldnarl stands guard beside your seat, his war axe's head taller then his own.

He is lead into the room. He's smaller then you expected, clearly not of human height. After cautiously looking around the room he takes a seat at the table at the opposite end of yours and removes his hood, revealing him to be a rat folk.

>Ah, I wasn't told you were a rat folk, I'm surprised we didn't find more interesting baubles on your caravan then.
>Hello, I am Princess Lumora of the Treeline Kingdom, I hope my dwarf friend here didn't ruffle you up to much.

"Yeah, yeah, information I got all the information you want j-just don't hurt me. This isn't the first time I've been captured by bandits but this is certainly the first time they offered me tea. This isn't some kind of test or something right?"

He nervously chews on his wooden cup before answering. "I-it's good. The Cravenwood Mountains have been ran sacked by this new necromancer lord, the Dwarves have had no choice to spend so much of their saved up treasure to buy relief supplies and mercenaries. The steelgate Kingdom is especially bleeding them dry for steel weapons since they're the only steel resource outside of Cravenwood mountains and it's currently crawling with skeletons right now. The kingdom of Mondshire has stayed out of the conflict, damn elves, almost as bad as dwarves with their sting-i-ness...and that's really all the trade their is to speak of on the borders of your forest."

>Tell me more about the Necromancer

"Oh him, I would rather not. There's a lot of rumors going around. That he's actually a demon disguised in bone, the he's a skeleton champion and the real necromancer is unknown. What is known though is he is that he wants to create his own undead empire. His crypt was somewhere in the mountains, when the Dwarves disturbed it, well, that's when things went to shit and the bones started crawling." He says and shivers. "It's why I stick to the steelgate trade route these days and just pass off my goods to a caravan on the dwarves border."

These I agree with. A caravan passing through our lands that we can take tolls from, as well as the periodical shopping oppertunities we get from the caravans.

We don't have to be quite that ambitious yet.

We'll lead for sure, since this is partly to build up a name and troop loyalty/competence.

Obviously we'll spend time back at base. Traps, Ents, Dragon, and our regular return should keep things safe. The other bandit lords can keep watch.

If they tried to coup, they would find themselves lacking the kingdom's elite military.

You smile. "Well you clearly know the current ins and outs of the market and I need someone like that if I am to create an economy for my people. Let's call you...a trade adviser. See what of value my lands can be to the markets."

near perfect success!

In the next week you dedicate to building a new road inside the forest. With some guidance of the druids you create the most efficient path while doing the least amount of damage to the forest. With your forces protecting the road instead of robbing another, you don't have to lower the tolls very much to drag attention away from Steelgate's roads and better yet with your castle along the way more people have come to join the growing settlement.

>Gain 10 farmers

Over the next few weeks, with a few more farms built around your castle you have enough wheat and barley to start producing wheat beer. Soon a Tavern Is built along the road close to your castle.
