You look Ven in the eye's as you finish taking in the chaos around you. This was ALOT more than you expected to happen, and your not sure where she found these people at. They were all quite skilled, but though they could be useful you doubt many of them will stay. These are people with their own purposes and goals, adventurers and wanderers, the chances of more than...10 of them staying are slim at best. You need to know how Ven found them and what happened afterwards that led to this.

"Ven, what happened?"

"Oh your gonna love this. So we found out where they were keeping Aijen's brothers right-

"Wait his brothers?"

"-Then it turns out they had an entire circus full of performers locked up, healthy and with their equipment! So we broke them out and then found where all the helpers and assistants were held. There was this big performance, and we fought this huge black monster. It was really strong and we wouldve lost until she-"

Ven points to a purple haired lady assisting a slave.

"-Threw a vial or two into its mouth. It swallowed the vials and then BOOM! All the assistants were free to join the main performers. Finally we decided that with all our equipment, we were going to give the demons the performance of a lifetime, and as you can see it was a great performance. Im kinda sad you came late, but hey, you got here for the last part of the show and thats all that matters."

...Youe not sure, but you feel like you knew what she said in regular terms instead of her twisted logic. You put a hand to your head and sigh at the Jester before putting the other on her shoulder.

"Thanks Ven. Just...thanks."

Well now that thats done lets see what should be done. There are still hundreds of demons and unfreed slaves in the city, so what should happen next.

Your actually quite interested in meeting this girl with the purple hair. If she really was the deciding factor in taking out that beast, then she might be more valuable than you thought. You walk by Ven and step over some corpses until you finally near her. She has just given a potion to a slave and upon seeing you she matches your hard face with her own serious expression. She doesnt look surprised, shocked, or scared in the slightest, and she perfectly matches your steely gaze. You actually like that, maybe she has some competence in her and self-reliance. Upon closer inspection she seems like she is from Yevrelia, which would explain a good bitm

"I heard you were the one who managed to kill that beast. I would like to know who you are, but first, my name is Feltera and im sure you have met Ven."

"Why yes i have met the jester. I find her a visually and mentally stimulating figure, managing to cause fear while giving a semblance of hope to her allies. As for me, you may call me Oleria Zivralia and my profession is alchemy. May i assume you to be the 'Queen' she was referring to at an earlier time?"

You look back at Ven and then down at Oleria.

"Yeah she tends to call me that. Anyway, are you from Yevrelia?"

"Yes that is my place of birth and growth. Is there a reason for your questioning on my origins?"

"Im just making conversation. So tell me, why arent you at home making potions and testing creations?"

"That is for personal reasons that i do not deign it necessary to share. Now if you would excuse me i have potions to administer. But first i give you this."

She takes a purple bottle off of her waist and holds it out to you. You take it, seeing the wisp of smoke leaving it, and then look down at her.

"What is it?"

"A bottle. Give it to the jester."

Then she turns and walks away while taking more potions out and giving them to slaves. Well she seems useful later on.

Well she was interesting. Not sure what's in the bottle but you can worry about that later. You put the purple bottle in storage and then look around at all the other people. There are quite alot, but one group catches your eye's. Four...satyrs(?)are busy chatting with each other, one with a umbrella, one with a fire in her hand, one with a sword, and a final one with a cloak. Your interested in them because they are such a strange sight to see in all honesty, though you REALLY cant say anything about that considering your appearance. You head over to them, and they all notice you immediately, but dont react with fear, most likely due to having seen enough strangeness to not care. One of them gestures for you to sit and you decide to do so next to the umbrella carrier. The sword carrier give's you a fearsome expression, while the other two just smile at you.

"Hello there darlin, how have you been on this busy day?"

Her voice is accented heavily, western sounding even, and its soft and kind like her warm motherly smile.

"I've been...busy like you said. Whats your name?"

"Oh you can call me Farla, and these are my sisters! That one right there, the one with them sly eye's and the cloak, is Helina. Dont let her too close to your gold, or she might snatch it up!"

Helina waves her fingers with the hand that isnt under the cloak.

"I would only take a little i promise."

"You mean like the 'little' you took from that rich fella we met? A shame really, then we had to leave his nice farm without even a nice goodbye."

"Oh please, he just wanted to have some gals to wave around town, didnt care much about us anyway."

"You dont know that! Maybe he wanted to take care of us!"

"Only thing he wanted to take care of was his urges and his reputation, and he planned to use us for both."

Farla merely shakes her head and turns back to you.

"She's a little troublemaker you can see, but dont worry she can control herself...sometimes."

"Control? Please dont give her pride she dont have Farla, it'll only make things go downhill faster."

You turn to the newest speaker, a redhead with a smile just as soft as Farla's yet eye's with Helina's cunning. She has a dresspiece like Farla but with stripes instead and in her hand is a flickering flame.

"My name's Darla darlin, and its nice to meet you. Unlike these three i have real common sense, so feel free to ask me anything ya need."

"Ask you? Please, if anything your the most reckless one here!"

"I can justify it."

"Oh really? How so?"

"Im the smartest one between you two numbskulls!"

Farla and Helina both laugh at her when she says that.

"You mean like the time when we needed to cross the river, and you thought leaping from rock to rock would do?"

"We did it all the time at home!"

"The river didnt have any rocks sticking up Darla."

Darla goes to speak and then falls quiet while leering at the two of them as they go back to laughing at her.

"And what would you two suggest?"

"Not your plan thats for sure!"

Darla lets out a humf then turns back to you.

"Dont listen to them. Farla is scatterbrained and Helina is too busy tryin to be sligh to actually be helpful. Also, say hi to the stick in the mud, Hala."

You turn to look at the last sister, the one with the fearsome and serious expression. She simply watches you carefully as if looking for any signs of trouble or wrong on you. You look her back in the eye's, the two of you perfectly matching stares. Instead of long curved horns she has ears that stand straight up and high in the air.

"Oh Hala loosen up will ya? The lady comes over to chat and you stare at her like she gonna steal us all away! Why dont you say hi?"

"...Hi."

Unlike the others her voice has no warmth in it but instead the strength of will and learned discipline of a actual soldier. She nods to you in what you assume is a sign of respect, and you nod back to her.

"Dont mind Hala, she one of them military types, a former Colonel during the war. Lead many a charge and won many more battles, but that wartime fightin really got to her. But calm any fears ya got, she's got a heart of gold hidden behind a that bosom of steel."

Hala simply stays quiet, her sword held on the ground by the pommel. Well she is very professional, everything from her stature to her appearance. Even the way her she waits has an air of command. She might be useful later on...

"And just like that ya met the family. Well actually we have a good bit more back home, but its nice to meet ya anyway."

"Speaking of which, why arent you back home?"

"Oh ya know, the normal, see the sights, meet some handsome men, find treasure, and generally have a good time!"

"I think i see a few handsome men here actually~"

"Oh not now Helina, we aint even got out of the city yet and your thinking of tussling under the sheets. Maybe Ma shoulda put you in the miltary with Hala, that would teach you some control."

Well it was nice to meet them, but you should get going. You tell them farewell and they all say goodbye(except Hala)before going back to bickering and chatting.

It was nice talking and meeting these people, but you have work to do. You expect the demons to already be preparing an attack, and you want to either shatter them before they regroup or at least be able to fight them head on. You rise to your full height, towering over everyone, and simply stand there as you switch back to full lava form. Seeing you go from mystical minotaur to a pillar of lava and multicolor fire has the desired effect of making everyone almost instantly focus on you. You look to make sure they are paying attention and then begin speaking.

"While im sure you all are glad to be free of your enslavement, and would like to rest for a bit longer, i have but one request. I need this city taken, and the longer we wait the more time the demons have to regroup and prepare to attack. As such it is vital we strike now before you end up back in their hands. Those who wish to come with me to fight may follow me, and i promise them both loot and glory. Those who do not may either leave or be taken to safety."

You watch as nobody speaks up, but instead either watch you, prepare to fight, or finish helping other people. Looks like no one wants to flee, and you find that pleasing. You turn around and walk up and over corpses of both mortals and demons, and on the way you hand Ven the bottle.

"From Oleria."

You reach the top of the steps, near the entrance, and then look back to see all the other adventurers following and only half of the slaves. Well its better than nothing it seems.

You walk forward through the main entrance area, confident you can handle whatever is ahead. You feel movement and then both of the ravenguard drop out of the darkness above and land next to you silently. They walk in front of you, each on a side and walking with confidence. Its good to have a pair of competent guards, they were probably watching for any foolish enough to enter. The three of you walk out the doors and into the light...where your greeted by an army.

Hundreds of organized demons, with tower shields and spears, swords and shields, but luckily no archers. They all are ready and waiting for you, and at the head is a demon in full heavy black plate armor with a sword and tower shield. Upon seeing you he raises and points his sword.

"Are you the wench who orchestrated this?"

"Yes. Are you the demon stupid enough to attack me?"

He doesnt respond and instead he raises his shield and pushes it forward. The demons follow suit and you hear steps behind you, and turn back to see your allies with you. Well this will be fun.

"KILL THEM ALL!!!!"

The demons charge and you grip your hammer and charge them back, followed by your army.

Alright im back! Writing now m80's

You and the demon knight are totally focused on one another. You each head straight to the other until your in range to attack. You swing your hammer, having reach as an advantage against the knight, and he blocks the attack with his tower shield. Instead of being sent flying there is the sound of metal crashing against metal and a loud boom. You stumble back from the recoil as his glowing shield stops your attack and he takes advantage by stabbing forward at you. The attack slashes your leg, causing the flames on it to open in resemblance of a cut. The opening doesnt close, showing that his sword actually can hit and possibly wound you.

You swing your hammer again, but he moves back out of range of the swing before closing in for a stab. You knock the blow away with the back of your hand before swinging the hammer and landing a direct hit on his chest. You send him flying and he lands on his back. You run up and drop your hammer on him yet he raises his shield just in time.

Your knocked back again by the recoil and he gets back up to fight you. He holds his shield in front of him and his blade to the side as he prepares for you to charge. You raise a hand and fire off a concussive blast twice. Both are deflected, hitting enemy and allied troops. He raises his blade and points it forward in challenge.

You're ready to face his challenge head on, despite the advantage of his shield. You charge at the Knight with your hammer ready and swing in a back hand strike. The knight was ready though, and he put his shield in its path. You hit it and are recoiled with even greater force than last time, causing you to chastise yourself as your pushed back once again. He takes the offensive and slashes at your leg again. This time his blade slices through the flames and your lava flesh, causing burning pain as your magma blood leaks from the wound and drips from his blade.

You havent had blood drawn in a long time, and the sight of it makes you scowl in anger. You step back and raise your arm to fire off storm bolts at him. He raises his shield and when the bolts are deflected they dont fly randomly, they fly back at you. Explosions of energy send you flying back and crashing to the ground. You slowly rise, your head throbbing with pain, but the knight is already on top of you. He slams his shield into your face to knock you out of it and then raises his sword to plunge it into your chest.

Your seeing stars in your vision, but you also see the Knight raising his blade above your heart. Instead of using your hammer you use the quicker alternative and raise your fist. As his blade stabs downward you panage to punch him in the chest and send him flying upwards. You then grip your hammer, and as he falls back down you hit him with the head in midair. He flies to the side and rolls along the ground without his sword and shield. Lucky not to be dead, you get back to your feet at the same time as him, and you two watch each other through the chaos of the fight. He opens his hands and in them appears his sword and tower shield, which he puts forward first. There has to be someway you can attack him around that shield...

As you think that you see him charge forward at you, and you raise your hammer in defiance. He makes it halfway to you, but out the corner of your eye you see someone fighting their way through the demon infantry towards him. When he is three quarters of the way the figure burst through the chaotic melee and you see that its Hala. She runs toward the Knight, having lost her coat at some point, and makes to seemingly reverse stab at him. He turns his shield, but she feints and spins around to land a deep slash on his side, her blade covered in his black blood. He grunts and bashes with her shield, but she is already gone, having moved away from him and over to you. She has quite a fearsome look on her face, as if angry at the world in general.

"...Hi."

"...Hi, thanks for the assist Hala."

She simply nods, and the two of you focus back on the bleeding Knight, who acts like he doesnt even notice the wound.

The Knight charges at you two, his wound no longer dripping blood everywhere. Hala moves to the right where his sword is while you move to the left on the shield side. You swing your hammer and he blocks with his shield, giving Hala an opening to strike. She slices down and cuts into his shoulder. He responds by bashing her with the flat of his blade and making her stumble away, and then he attempts to stab you in the torso as you draw close. Seeing his attack you raise your flame covered hammer and he puts his shield in the way of your strike...but your not aiming for him. Your hammer falls and hits the ground right next to him instead, and at the same time you call upon the lava right below you two. The ground breaks instantly, already thin as it sat right above a pit of lava, and the two of you fall into the deep cauldron of magma. You land with a heavy splash and become fully submerge in lava, and totally unhurt. You right yourself and stand back up, lava seeming to not only stick to your body but making you feel refreshed. You even feel the deep cut on your leg healing.

The Knight also rises from the lava, but he is not in such good shape. His armor is slowly but surely starting to melt and fall off, while his sword and shield manage to remain whole. He crawls onto a land of black rock and turns to you until Hala jumps down. She lands behind him and slashes at his back, causing him to jump to another safe spot of land as blood streams out of the cut. Only a little deeper and it would have cut his spine.

Well this will be fun. You rush forward at the knight. With nowhere to move to or anyway of leaving he puts his shield in front of him to stop your attack, but you have no intentions of crushing him. You drop your hammer, move around his shield, and grab his shoulder. You lift the heavily armored demon, raise him high in the air, and put all of your strength into throwing him down. He is sent DEEP into the lava and you dive in after him. You see him attempting to swim upward, abandoning even his sword and shield in a desperate attempt to get back to the far surface, but you dont intend on letting him make it. You move right above him, grab him, and seim deeper into the lava. He starts punching at you, his quickly dissolving fist attempting to hurt you to no avail. As the two of you go deeper and deeper he struggles in your grip, until at one point, his armor almost fully corroded despite its magic, he manages to breaks free. He swims up, but you wrap him in a bear hug, his head and chest enclosed between your bosom. You feel him struggling, doing everything to escape your hold, and then he goes still. You open your arms and float back as you see his dark purple skin and deep black eye's for just a second, and then he dies as the lava melts his body to nothing.

Satisfied, you swim back up to the top, and stand in the lava as it merely absorbs into you. You see Hala quietly standing on a black rock as the lava bubbles, and you start to think of a way to get her put when she nods to you and jumps put of the entire cavern. Guess she has strong legs...

>Cont
>>
Before you go, its best to make sure the demons know their commander is dead. You reach into the lava and pull out the Knight's black tower shield, which is still in one piece surprisingly. Time to leave this pit and go rejoin the others. You pool the lava around you and absorb it into you to make you feel fully healed, rested, and recharged. You reach up with some assistance from the lava, and pull yourself up out of the cauldron with lava sticking to you. You reach the top, lava from below still streaming into you, and look around the current state of the battlefield. The demons still fight, and though they have dwindled significantly, their weapons are soaked with the blood of the innocent slaves who fought back. You scowl at the demons, and then advance in the direction of Hala to assist her in fighting the demons.

The fighting is short and brutal, with the demons dying quickly due to being outnumbered and outskilled. Hala is the one to kill the last demon soldier, dodging its mace before slicing it in half vertically. With all the demons dead you have the people go and free more and more slaves, until all demons in general have been sent back to the abyss, and all mortals freed. It has been a long and bloody battle, but in the end you managed to save thousands of people and remove a demon city from the enemy, it feels good to be good. You take a deep breath as the adventurers go about gathering loot and the slaves are all freed.

Before you do anything its probably best to go thank Hala for help. She managed to wound the knight and give you a chance to kill him, and that deserves a honest thanks. You scan the aftermath of the battle and you see Hala standing by herself amidst the corpses of both allies and enemies. Her eye's seem empty, and she looks like she is'nt here to say the least. You walk over to Hala, who is still standing there silently, and look down at her.

"Hala. Hala?"

She still has the absent look on her face, as if she is somewhere else entirely. You put a hand on her shoulder and shake her lightly. She blinks...for the first time in five minutes and looks up at you with a face colder than yours.

"...Yes?"

"I wanted to say thank you for helping me defeat the Knight. It was very brave of you."

At the sound of the word brave she seems to 'leave' again and you look down at her strangely.

as hilarious and entertaining as that is, it would take a fair bit of character development to get the Ravens to change to even consider things like that
>>
>>39595429
On the contrary I'm a huge fan of blank-slate mute characters secretly being decidedly normal or unexpected in off-screen situations.

Like Hala comes into the library and shortly after the Ravens follow behind. Farla gets curious and asks what they were all up to, she simply replies 'training'. When no one else is looking the Ravens give the slightest of fistbumps behind their backs to each other.

Its silly but I find it endearing and it doesn't have to be something super overt.
>>
>>39595518
>Its silly but I find it endearing and it doesn't have to be something super overt.
Indeed, but it's also a dramatic shift in character for them, I wouldn't mind them doing it, but not immediately, they need to develop that way over time
>>
I'm just worried Zetol's going to take this stuff seriously.....

Feltera: Hala, why have you been the ravens so much instead of your sisters? I hear your not even with them at night.
Hala: I enjoy their presence, especially at night, its calming.

Feltera shrugs, and walks away.

You grip Hala's shoulder and shake her vigorously. Your not sure whats wrong, but you severely hope it passes quickly. She is quite skilled in a fight and probably even more skilled as a commander, and losing such a valuable asset and person is unacceptable after all you just went through.

"Hala? Hala!"

Hala shakes her head and blinks as you call her. You stop as she looks up at you silently. Something must be wrong, and hopefully it isnt a demon spell or worse.

"Hala are you alright? You just went blank on me for some reason, and its very unsettling."

"...Im fine. Thank you for...caring, and your welcome for helping."

With that she moves out of your hold, nods to you, and walks away silently. Well that was...weird to say the least. You really wonder what could be wrong, and decide that when you get the chance you'll ask her sisters how bad war couldve affected her. For now though you jave people you need to see.

Its probably best to go see Ven. For one you want to see how she held up during the battle, and two you would like to know if she drank the bottle and if it had any effects. You look around the battlefield, searching for Ven, and you see her coming around the corner with another person. At first your not sure whats going on, but then you look closer to see that Ven is BADLY wounded. She has multiple tears and cuts and holes, all dripping what look to be letter's and energy. Even her hat is gone, revealing a short yellow and blue hair. The man next to her seems to be walking with her, and you find him quite odd looking. He has make up on his face, and is wearing what seems to he a revealing cloak. You dont pay anymore attention to him though, instead running over to Ven.

"Ven, what happened?!"

When Ven speaks her voice sounds actually a little weary and tired, and she is leaning on both her staff and the man for support.

"Oh nothing much, just had a fight is all. Glad you did better than me though cause i need a serious break. Talk to you later!"

Ven then dissolves into tattoos and flows directly onto your body. You feel what appears to be joy and then a resting feeling as the tattoos calm down. Well its glad to know Ven is alright, but who is this guy?

Now that he is actually close you can see him better and actually get a good look. The man has the longest hair you have ever seen on a man and it is light blue mixed with yellow. He has the ears of a elf, each with a moon piercing, and the tattoo of an eye on both cheeks. He is wearing an elaborate blue and yellow cloak that looks more liquid than solid, and on his neck is a full choker with gold. He wears a long blue and green skirt with four openings to make it more aerodynamic, and his hands and feet are covered in green scaled bracers. He has the barest hint of a smile on his face and he avoids your gaze when he looks at you.

"And who are you?"

"Wildrin, it is great to meet you Feltera. Your friend told me your name."

His voice, while elegant and smooth, has some confidence in it, and you try to meet his gaze only for his to keep averting his eyes.

"Why were you with Ven, Wildrin?"

"Oh i was just helping her win the fight is all."

Well he managed to assist in the fight, so thats good to know. Hopefully she didnt get hurt saving him or something, cause you would be just the tiniest bit angry. But he helped, and honestly thats all that matters.

"So Wildrin, where are you from."

"Oh just a place thats far away, not too important."

He seems to be answering your questions ambiguously, not telling you exactly what he did or can do.

"Well thanks for whatever you did for Ven...i guess."

"No problem. If you dont mind i shall be on my way."

With that he turns and leaves just as mysteriously as he came, and you cock your head as he dissapears. Well he seemed a little odd to you, and you wonder why he wasnt meeting your gaze.

Now that you think of it you should have asked him who they fought and how she got hurt. You start to walk to catch him, but then you change your mind. You can ask Ven when she awakens, and besides you need to check on Aijen. You assume he found what he was looking for after all. You head across the battlefield in search of the part metal man, and after a while of searching you see him standing with two other metal people. One has brown hair and two swords, while his arm and leg seem to be robotic, and the other looks like he is almost fully made of metal, with the upper left side of his upper body, his left arm, right leg, and right hand being made of metal. Not only that but he has the weirdest helmet you have ever seen on.

You walk over to three of them, and Aijen looks up at you with a frown instead of a sneer or scowl. The brown haired one cocks an eyebrow, and the one with the metal head/helmet has no expression.

"Hello to all three of you. I see you found who you were looking for Aijen, but who are you two?"

The brown haired one smirks and looks at Aijen, who's head is pointed down and focused on his blade.

"Lady helps you here and you dont even tell her why Aijen? Your almost worse than Zariol you know that?"

He then turns to you smiling fully.

"Names Ghereniel Feltera, Aijen told us about you ya know, mainly with his trademark anger and cursing, but i assume your not bad in the slightest. Also this right here is Zariol."

He points to the other Metal man, who you can hear wheezing and gasping, and Zariol nods to you.

"It is nice to meet you, my brothers savior."

You nod to him before turning back to Gehein.

"So Feltera, why did you save the slaves?"

Your writing and pacing has improved from the prior quest. If you are still writing on a phone, I would suggest seeing about getting a cheapo laptop at some point if you can.

You dont really have to think about an answer. Really everything you have done in life has been for one solid reason.

"Simple, because i can. What better reason do i need?"

Gehein lets out a small laugh at that before turning back to his brothers with one hand out to the side.

"And what better reason does anyone need nowadays amiright? Well its good to know our minotaur friend does this all out of the compassion hidden in her heart."

He turns back to you and puts his hand back on the sword pommel.

"So since you've got so much compassion, do you mind telling us how you're going to move, let alone feed, all these freed slaves? Thousands of people seem like something beyond your capacity to feed after all."

"I have a place for them, along with others there ready to feed and take care of them. If they wish to leave they may, and if they wish to stay they will live by the rules of the established government."

"And that government is..?"

"Your asking alot of questions, did you know that?"

"Yes i am. Nothing personal, and trust me Aijen hasnt gotten into my head or anything, its just that i prefer to make sure me and my brothers arent going to end up slaves, sacrifices, or under the heel of a ruthless government is all. Besides, its best to know what you walk into, so you can know how to walk out."

He is obviously the smartest one in terms of common sense. In all honesty, as a wanderer you can understand where he is coming from, you used to be very wary and for a multitude of good reasons.

"The government is both a magocracy and a theocracy. They govern themselves, but they must let those with wisdom, knowledge, and experience guide them. If they happen to take things too far then I intercede for all the regular people."

Gehein cocks his head and eyebrow as he smirks at you.

"Im not exactly sure that we should be living in a place like that, mainly because we dont want to get lynched simply for not having undying faith in your god alone. Sorry but i think we're going to pass."

Gehein starts to turn away until Zarel finally speaks up. His wheezing metallic voice piercing the air with cold decision.

"We're going with the minotaur Gehein."

"And why is that? You dont want to get killed by some fanatics do you Zarel?"

"The minotaur would not have saved all these people and then truly expected all to turn to her god. She is wiser than that, she is a minotaur after all."

Gehein looks at Zarel, then you, and back to Zarel. He shrugs and sits down next to the silent Aijen with a smug smile.

"Whatever you say Zarel. But first, why dont we get Aijen's thoughts. Aijen, you think we sho-"

"Yes."

Gehein looks at Aijen with slight confusion.

"All that stuff you said and you say yes?"

"She helped me out...three times, and so did the clown."

Gehein sighs, shrugs, and lays against the building with both hands behind his head.

"Alright i guess we're gonna live with a minotaur. See ya in the city tuts."

Well that went better than expected. You thank them for their time and help, and then proceed to walk away to do other things.

You really want to know what was going on with Hala, and you feel that asking her sisters will give you the answers you need. Your not sure how badly war couldve affected her, it seems unlikely it shouldve affected her negatively, but then again everyone is different. You search out the sisters and find them inside of what appears to be a jewelry and clothing store. You walk inside(at some point a hole was made large enough for you to walk through it seems)to see them searching through the stores merchandise, which is composed of a number of horrible things. Helina picks up a dress, only to look at it with disgust and throw it into a magic fire on the floor.

"Honestly these demons could get some sense of fashion. Hows a gal supposed to find clothes in here?!"

Darla looks over at her sister with a slightly annoyed look as she goes through a set of jewelry with obvious disdain.

"Its not meant for regular gals Helina, its meant for our captors if you couldnt tell."

"Well thank ya for stating the obvious. Would you like a medal?"

"Oh would you two shut it? Feltera is here and she dont wanna hear you two squabbling."

Farla walks over to you with a smile and twirls her umbrella a little.

"Somethin ya need from us darlin? I can make you some tea later if ya want."

"Ill take you up on your offer, but for now i have a question about Hala."

"Oh dear, did she start going blank faced and gettin them empty eye's when she was with you?"

You nod, and Farla simply sighs sadly as the other two stop their arguing to listen.

"Girl aint ever been the same since she was in the war i tell you. Forgot what happened, but she was leadin her regiment into battle when they got ambushed by...um..."

"The enemy."

"Im sure she knows it was the enemy Darla, she's tryin to remember what it was exactly."

"Oh dear i cant seem to remember. Somethin bad happened, aint she ever been the same since. Darn shame really..."

>Cont
>>
She must have been really attached to the regiment, that or something really terrible happened during or after the fight. In a worse case scenario it couldve been both. Your not sure what couldve happened, there have been plenty of veterans who faced everything from demons to undead to monsters, what could she have faced to make her so different.

"And how did she use to act before whatever happened?"

"Well she was always smart, inherited the brains of Pa i swear, but she was alot more chatty and happy. She aint ever acted like her old self, and at night she gets really roudy in her sleep so we tend to all sleep together, huddled around the poor thang. Some tea, hugs, and kind words tend to calm her down though. Anything else ya want?"

"Maybe she can tell us the best dress to get out of this horrid store. Or better yet, maybe she can find us some nice clothes back at her place."

"Helina why do you even WANT a dress?! All you do is wear that cloak to hide your goodies, and even then we can almost see them!"

"In case i meet a strapping young man and decide to give him a better show than me moving my cloak to the side and taking him right there."

"This girl. Sometimes i swear you related more to them street whores than us Helina."

"And sometimes i think you related more to the rocks we used to step on, specifically the broken kind."

The two of them go back to arguing and throwing insults, and you thank Farla for her time before walking off. Well that explained a tiny bit of what was wrong, hopefully you can learn more though.

Its about time you got to moving and taking care of the slaves. Your not sure how many survived the fighting, and there are alot of corpses on the ground, but you feel that it should be a good number remaining. Yet as you walk across the battlefield and back to the colosseum the number of bodies starts disturbing you. This many dead really shouldnt be. You pick up the pace to the colosseum and you get more and more irritated as the number of dead keeps growing. Eventually you reach the colosseum and by then you are quite pissed. A lot of the slaves that decided to, or rather could, fight dies during the battle it seems. All thats left is a small number of fighters, those freed from the rest of the city, and all the slaves in the colosseum who couldnt fight for various reasons.

The fact that so many died really pisses you off, enough to make you forget about actually counting or looting, and decide to just start moving them. Its still alot of slaves, but you wish it was more. You teleport back to the castle and call for Hereshiel, who appears in front of you shortly. He frowns and rolls his eye's.

"Oh its you. Wha-"

He sees the angry look on your face and makes a worried expression.

"Is something wrong Feltera? What happened?"

"Just be ready for a larger amlunt of slaves than normal Hereshiel, expect them to be even more sickly and malnourished. Ill bring them soon."

"What, what happened?"

"Ill tell you later."

You turn and teleport out of the castle, and get ready to start moving slaves.

You just want to finish here and go back to the castle for some much needed rest. But first you have to move all these slaves and your going to need them organized. You head back to the satyr's and get them to stop arguing and come help tend to the sickly. You manage to have Hala go with them as well, though you are actually still worried about her, and she silently goes to assist her sisters. The next thing you do is go find Aijen and his brothers and ask them to help the fighters out. They leave to do so quickly, every step filled with Gehein talking, Aijen cursing, and Zarol wheezing.

Well they are gone, now its time to see how many adventurers actually stuck around. You search theough the city and find around twenty entirely different adventurers. After some talking you find that twelve are staying for various reasons and even see a few you might be interested to meet...later. They round up and help organize the slaves along with the sisters and brothers, and soon the teleportation is under way.

It is a LONG day, but after a time you manage to move all two thousand total slaves into the infinite city. Luckily the already set up residents begin helping them out and moving them in or cleaning up. Eventually everyone is getting cleaned and fed, and you sigh ad the work is done for now.

As you stand there your approached by all four of the satyr sisters, with Farla stepping up to talk to you.

"Question darlin. Where do ya want us to stay? Just askin is all, in case you had a special place for poor Hala hear."

You direct them and have them move into the castle in a room near yours before dealing with the metal brothers.

Well since you moved the satyr's into the castle its best you move the brothers as well. You head down to the city where people bustle about to help the recently brought in slaves. You walk throughout it, with many moving out of the way in either respect, reverence, even or fear of you. Hopefully the fear AND reverence end soon, being respected is good enough for you. Eventually you see the three brothers at a open air forge, talking to a freed blacksmith. You walk over to hear Gehein bickering with him.

"Look, just listen to me. If you make the iron by adding carbon, and then use this method, you will get better iron!"

"And im trying to tell you that i dont know what carbon is! Now either buy something, request something, or get out of my shop!"

"I am requesting something. Im requesting that you upgrade. You live in a city made of advanced Magitech and yet you cant seem to live up to its standards!"

The blacksmith is about to say something when he sees you and moves back in respect. Gehein and his brothers turn around and look up at you, with Geheins face regaining its smirk.

"There you are! I was just about to come get you. Could you do us all a favor and teach this blacksmith how to add carbon to his iron?"

"...Whats carbon?"

Gehein opens his mouth and then just facepalms, while Aijen gives you an annoyed look.

"You cant be serioud can you bi-"

"*stare*"

"You cant be serious can you? Your walking around with that hammer and you dont know carbon is?! And here i thought you crafted it yourself."

"Your right i didnt. I made my armor myself."

Zarol seems to focus more(you dont know how you can tell)while Aijen and Gehein look at you with suspicion, with Gehein stepping forward.

"You mean to tell me you made that yourself? I doubt it. Where did you have a hot enough forge, or the metals to make it? You definetly didnt get it from this guy."

Im writing but i have a question. Now that he is no longer alone, and he cant curse les he get minostomped, how do i keep Aijen both talkative or talking, and make sure he is still Edgy without forcing Feltera's hand or pissing her off? I dont want him to fade into the background now that the slightly less edgy Gehein is here.
>>
>>39614620

The question you have to ask yourself is: what are Aijen's character traits, beside being edgy?

Also, he can keep trying to be all rude only to be reminded where he stands on the food chain.
>>
>>39614620
Develop a backstory for him. Why is he so edgy?
>>
"While i dont mind showing you the workshop where i made my armor, your not allowed to use it. It's mine and only i can use it unless for some unknown reason i say otherwise. Now follow me so you see it."

The three of them follow you as you turn, with Aijen walking next to you and looking up at you. He looks a little angry as he glares up at you, causing you to be slightly annoyed. What does this runt want now?

"Hey, where the hell is the clown?! I didnt see her flipping and giggling through the crowd like an idiot."

Even if Ven is a little silly the fact that he called her an idiot slightly pisses you off. You grind your teeth together and hold back anything rude or foolish you may say.

"She's in the castle, you'll see her soon enough. Why do you care anyway?"

He looks away from you and back to the road ahead.

"I dont have to say now do i?"

"I also dont have to show you my workshop either."

"Hey Aijen! Dont mess it up for the rest of us man."

Aijen scowls back at Gehein who smirks at him back, and then looks up at you silently before falling back to his brothers. Well that was annoying, but it doesnt matter that much. You wonder why he wanted to see Ven so badly, but you just shrug it off and teleport the three of you to the forge.

Upon walking inside of it the three brothers look around, with Aijen and Gehein looking impressed by the set up, the jewels, and general atmosphere it gives off.

"Well this looks real nice and all, but why dont you forge something to show that you actually can?"

"Are you doubting my skill and ability?"

"No im asking for confirmation of your skill and ability. Will i receive it?"

He cocks an eyebrow at you while smiling, his challenge apparent to you. Really, who knew that both brothers were so unreasonable and annoying. Your not sure if you should craft something or reject his foolish challenge.

Something for Hala or Ven
>>

right, I'm never rolling again

And this armor for Hala would be:

First
>Heavy
>Medium
>Light
>No weight(d100)

Second
>White
>Gold
>Purple
>Blue
>Other

Third
>Jewels
>Gold
>Both gold and jewels
>Spiked
>Studded

Fourth: d100
>Enchanted(For what?)
>Blessed(Would it just be holy or something else?)

Fifth
>Describe General appearance
>>
Rolled 52, 31 = 83 (2d100)

>>39615756
>Light
>White
>Studded
>Enchanted:Durability
>Blessed:Holy
Something like her normal outfit but armored
>>
Rolled 93, 43 = 136 (2d100)

>>39615756
>>No weight(d100)
>Blue
>Studded
>Enchanted(For what?)
speed

appearance could be something like pic, though not sure what symbol to have on the chest
>>
Rolled 48, 41, 11 = 100 (3d100)

>>39615756
>>No weight(d100)

>Enchanted (protection against all kinds of energy)
>Blessed( bonus for fighting unholy beings and resisting spell)
For the rest, let's bring Hala here and ask her what she'd like the most

Though I'd say it probably be a white and silver combo. Unless we go for matching outfit with us, but that may be a little forward.

Something like pic related?

Also, I really think "no weight" would be better than just "light"

Hala doesn't seems accustomed to have anything weighting her down
>>
>>39616029
something like that looks good

Besides the obvious

Hala went and picked up her coat btw, it just tends to fly off sometimes. Last but not least:

How do you bless it:
>Holy symbol of Rhiannon
>Pray over it
>Your magic should have enough 'holy' energy in it hopefully(d100)
>Other

Additional:
>Pauldrons
>Feathers
>Add a glow to it(color)
>Lining(color and fabric/metal)

Yeah, the consensus looked like Leather/precious metal, so I think that Precious/plate won't count
