Rolled 30 (1d100)

Last time we blew up our ship, got taken aboard a ghastly MAD ship, and then proceeded to blow a hole in it before doing the same thing on yet another ship except this time we used actual explosives!

That was when we jacked a ship, hi tailed it out of there, and attempted a rescue but ended up being traumatized due to the scene we bore witness to.

After that we swapped out encountering our long lost twin sister before things ended up.

Among Abigail things are desperate due to the intentisve boarding efforts and not knowing what her forces are up to.

For the still yet unnamed male MC is trying to figure out what he is gonna do.

At the same time, it's hard to know who to trust after what our family has gone thru. While talking to her we have to go down memory road and make sure her habits are the same. If we feel we can trust her, then we let her in on things.

>>39533996
Unable to maintain heavy train of thought which is critical for character interaction. Especially if they are of the plotting kind.

If I can't maintain such a train of thought I can't do masterminds who are some of the hardest to write for.

Easier to write goddamn aliens then a mastermind at times.

>>39534071
I may need a break from this.

As for Abby basically Commander is kicking ass and leading his forces of units to reclaim the troops. Mostly he is very worried about the student charges.

Problem is when they get closer they find a scene of utter carnage and hell. Thinking the worst they go deeper and find them safe if utterly terrorified.

According to them a demon woke up and starting 'feeding' grower ever stronger as it went on a rampage. They couldn't keep up nor did they want to so they held position while it rampaged throughout the ship.

The demon is the suit and its finally been fed a decent amount allowing it showcase its true power.

Some of the students are however gone mostly them being the elites and some of the officers who didn't give a shit. They are Lillian's forces trying to find you know who.

The pirates meanwhile are fucking terrified of the demon descending on their forces and try their best to get out of it way.

If you skip what will happen is suite keeps on rampaging until there is no enemy left then its starts to discharge. Meanwhile Commander once reasonably securing the ship starts the counter attack to see how many ships that he can take.

The students then pretty much follow along to see how he operates during such intense operations.

I just can't do mastermind right now. I can't tell you how much I dread when his powers fully awaken.

He will be pretty much HAX incarnate.

I could do something else don't have to stick with this. Especially considering you keep on skipping stuff.

And remember simulations are basically whatever you want and no matter what you wont get a game over.

That is what it was meant for as part of tutorial quirk.
>>
>>39534153
Which suit are you referring to in this again?

>>39534453
Also I could go for training Abigail some more, and granting her actual active abilities.

Like, remember how I wanted her to learn Force or Repel so we could punch stuff and send it flying half a continent away?

Or having her cast fist by punching in the direction of ships and causing them to break?

Hell, we could have a training montage where they find an old spaceship wreck and she's in space having to punch it in a Rocky esque scene.

Also we could practice some more fleet movements too, those are fun.

Would you say there's something as players we might also encounter that we haven't yet? We've faced a lot of different types of combat, but not all of them.

You decide to go find enemies to kill and depart from the Commander who appeared to have finished coming up with his plan before moving out.

You meanwhile just wandered wherever and tried to kill whatever got in your way. You started to kill a lot of people before you heard fighting coming in your direction. When you checked down that hallway it was revealed to be Lillian's Clan Commando and Clan Command mixed in with good measure.

So after teaming up with them you got killing and sometimes found scenes of utter carnage and gristly crime. You found that in general places that weren't like that tended to have buttloads of pirates for whom you had it out for.

Was started to get disturbing however was when 'things' came grabbing corpses and dragging them away. Considering you had a rough idea of what their fate was you shuddered.

The THINGS however did not do much cleaning they just liked grabbing corpses, the dying, and fallen gear that they dragged away for unknown purposes.

So you just went around and kept on killing things. Even though on a few occasions you ran into desperate pirates who fought with an unbelievable fury as they desperately tried to escape from something. Eventually you found out what it was and the scenes of carnage.

Turned out to be Nixy and the suit that was able to finally properly awaken showing off its true power. Eventually things started to settledown in the ship as the pirate numbers slowly but surely grew thinner.

Not that stopped you from finding Pirates to kill...boarding combat though is a nasty thing. You are thankful for your thrice abilities granting you extra protection in addition to your gear. Otherwise you weren't entirely sure if you would of made it.

As is the Commandos took a beating but goddamn were they a bunch of speedy vicious cunts. Apparently this wasn't their first rodeo but this was their first time when they were lacking proper Combine support.

You all did a dent on the pirates but it soon ended.
>>
Rolled 13 (1d100)

>>39535656
You only realized it ended though when crew started trying and failing to scrub away the blood or gore stains. You have to give them credit they DID try awfully hard alas the traits of the ship and how ingrained it was made it little luck.

What do?

Rolled 13 (1d100)

>>39535719
It would of gone poorly but then I had to calculate Suit effects and considering it was left behind with the elite Combine squadies with the students...it was able to power up properly.

Abigail has never seen the suit powered up properly only seeing it in its heavily crippled/neutered condition.

Turned out to make a big affect that enabled the Commander to counter board while it rampaged throughout the ship.

Meanwhile the ship has reclaimed the lost souls, bodies, and gear for its own sick purposes...

Luckily you managed to find a few trophies before getting dragged away. Though you were quite dissapointed with it until a crewmember tapped you on the shoulder.

"Loot is taken to processing. If you want loots go dere...just don't make the wrong turn."

Before wandering off.

Instead of going to wherever that was suppose to be you went to the Commander whom you found out was apparently on a different ship kicking pirate ass. So you really weren't able to regroup with him in particular so instead you looked into the trophies.

It took you awhile but eventually you found the place...which was a literal mountain of loot as it turned out.

As you could see bodies being dragged in stripped, cut apart, and then taken elsewhere.

Meanwhile the gear was gone over and cleaned before being stacked somewhat neatly in haphazard piles.

Here you could also see two strange robed figures conversing...and then arguing that ended with shots being fired before they split off.

Here however you were able to find loot...what take?

"Don't even think about it bitch."

You could of sworn you heard someone speak that but looking around you could just see crew going about their tasks.

So you root around in the pile of gear loot trying to find a pirates lootbag.

Eventually you do find one...which when you peered inside what MUCH bigger on the inside then the outside. You didn't try to think too hard about how this was possible.

One you got the bag you tried to loot EVERYTHING!

But once you started to fill the bag up you noticed the crew were watching you and bringing out their weapons while cackling evilly.

"Shares have yet to be dealt out guest so put it back," ordered one particularly hulking crew creature who appeared to made up of more than one body.

The crew meanwhile began to circle you while cackling.

"TWO WORDS!"

"FINDERS. KEEPERS."

With that you prepare for battles as the crew start swarming you. You did a splended job fighting them off. Even throwing a few in a bag as loot you were doing so well.

Until suddenly you saw a brief shimmering of black plastic bag and a robed black white figure who suddenly threw you in a bag.

You weren't entirely sure what happened and no idea how much time before you got thrown out of the bag...and before two strange cackling figures draped in madtech.

"Oh...who is dis cunt?"

"Attempted to loot all before sharing, fought crew, and even looted crew."

"Hm we missed a looter?"

"No idiot look at what this cunt is wearing."

"...hm you know now even the precious captain save you yeah?" giggled madly the robed figure.

"So what should I do to you..."

"You mean us right?"

"Well obviously not because your just gonna want to tinker ranged."

"oh so says the melee barbarian."

and so the two started arguing temporarily forgetting your existence. Sadly the others did not who grabbed you and threw you into the brig to await whatever is now your fate.

Starcraft I thought would be interesting whether it be protoss, Terran Colonists, or Earth forces trying to survive until back up arrives.

Was planning to place it right after broodwar.

Fantasy adventure would be pretty cool as it would help mitigate the problems of factions.

Factions go through so much shit in that setting holy crap. I don't have to even bother making up bullshit reasons for all da ruins and other lost shit.

Thought about a hero and villains type game would be cool too. As it would offer you certain 'privileges' so long as you kept to the code between the two.

Had thought about modern fantasy but it being 'secret' makes shit troublesome and if its not things get...weird. One of my projects that I put to the side as I tinkered with them previously but failed to really get anywhere with them.

What's something short and sweet we can get started on now that won't entirely derail the war civ?

Maybe something in this setting pertaining to this setting yet not directly involved with our heroes?
>>

No this wont derail this war civ as I intend to come back for testing purposes.

In other words it wont be allowed to die unless I unexpectedly bite it.

...Possible but this setting well...how much to spoil or not. This setting is crazy and I haven't really put much thought into making it easily playable. I mean fucking hell its a fantastic sci fi.

For stuff that pertains...what do you mean exactly?
>>
>>39538332
Hmmm, I know you want a break from war civ but still the thought of playing Nixxy and just going around killing stuff sounds fun.

Alternatively more ship combats.

Really its a big big universe, surely there's something interesting we can drop in on.

A hero having to go do something important in between two civs battling it out.

A scientist making a super experiment and we're at the helm of it, controlling the process!

Any number of neat things you could showcase
>>
>>39538410
Maybe we can be a Volker and develop a new type of mutant through trial and error.

Also yeah guns wont suck.

Anyway sorry for this abortion of a map.

This represents half the map.

There are two continents both known as North and South Pole respectively. Everything else is ocean with islands some bigger some smaller.

The Three lines are suppose to go all around there is also an equator line.

There are two Points to enter/exit the lines which are both accessible from every ocean.

...well shit somehow this computer lost the shit map.

Surely you can make it over again
>>
Rolled 76 (1d100)

>>39539646
Well luckily its easy to describe so here you go.

Two poles and have the only continents in the world.

There is a + on the map splitting it completely and an X as well. This goes all around the world.

So all the oceans are split up as such these lines are special as they are where the seas clash creating crazy affects.

There are 4 oceans. North which is north of the X on the world, East(obviously east of X), West, and South respectively.

Now the + matters little besides there legend that somehow there is a passage through the continents if you follow it! This has never been proven and its considered suicide to go those frozen hellholes.

there are TWO points on the map which are complete opposite worlds of each other. These are the only safe points to hop across between seas or dare entrance into the lines. They appear to be huge volcano mountains where shit goes crazy and are the first taste of what lies within the lines.

Hilariously most of the world is still largely unexplored and this is especially true for what lays between the lines.

The closet thing to a world government is a force which all kingdoms and nations donate resources to in order to explore and police the waters.

Meanwhile those same forces attempt the same but also war with each other.

There is a golden age of exploration/piracy going on which was caused by a claim of the greatest pirate in all the Seven Seas who claimed to have pillaged them all and left all his treasure in One Piece for whomever could find it!

Your home island is Isca of the Kingdom of Komera. You live in the port city Harsa five years since the execution. Contrary to popular belief the pirate age is still going strong much the Navy's pain.

And after a recent unfortunate 'adventure' of you and your childhood friend. She ate a devil fruit...its effects are of yet unknown. Not to mention she sorta stole it from the infamous pirates the Bewitched Band who serve the notorious Sea Witch...surprisingly though they didn't do anything to you but instead left in a hurry when they found out vice admiral was on the scene.

...that was the first time you bore witness to a fight between major powers. You had seen sword fights, duels, and brawls, but that was the first time you saw a devil fruit match of such power. Amazingly the pirates got away thanks to the sacrifice of some of their fellows. Considering how the Marines are up everyone's asshole you have safely assumed that those who were left behind are hiding out somewhere. You meanwhile were dragged homewards due to missing your curfew.

As you can easily enlist under pirates or navy as a page and work your way up.

You could also apprentice yourself or just go 'fuck it' and go out already. So I am not by any means gonna limit you at start as that shit is up to you!

As for how your friend ate the devil its a funny story involving a locked fancy tiny chest and some bored kids. As the pirates just so happened to be distracted and you were both bored...so you sorta borrowed it without knowing any better.

Then had tea time when she got the first time. Shortly after though the pirates somehow managed to find you and then the navy got involved.

Which led to pirates running like hell and a big showdown taking place which you both watched...and it was pure awesome.

Once the pirates got away though the Navy is rather pissed and are stomping around trying to see if anyone got left behind.

moar music.

Clubhouse is where you and the 'gang'(childhood friends) go to head out. Its deep in the woody cove where failed attempts at ship building litter.

Your female childhood friend(and partner in crime who ate the fruit) is a rich lives in a walled manor. Alas she is a tomboy who regularly sneaks out to cause trouble and have fun.

You first ran into rich girl when she foolishly went down to the Slums and got circled by some pirates. Luckily you were nearby and talked them down.

Ever since she went down to cause trouble until you or the gang showed up. She was stubborn and eventually you got stuck with the little troublemaker.

You swear her pretty face is VERY missleading. You would think she could talk or look pretty enough to get out of trouble.

Alas that is nothing but a foolish folly of a wispy dream, but hey a guy can dream. If anything it somehow makes her get into even more trouble...

The gang is a bunch of 'troublemakers' aka your friends. Awhile back you 'built' the clubhouse with 'acquired' materials before taking off with shipbuilding.

Of which you failed and the cove is littered with said failures. Eventually you'll get it right and sail the seas!

The city is broken into several quarters.

Navy Base: where the local naval forces are stationed and where you can enlist. Even a kid like yourself they'll take in.
Pirate's Cove: A secret location where never do wells hang by slipping in past the ice flows and trees. Was originally used by Smugglers until pirates started showing up like crazy. The like of which hasn't been seen since the Northern Clans were dealt with.
Slums: Where the poorest live in frosty marshes that thaw and rot during summer. No matter the time of year tis a miserable place that even the guards and navy avoid. Hence a popular place to live if your broke or relax if your a criminal.
Trade Quarter: Business goes down here and is close to the docks which helps.
>>
Rolled 63 (1d100)

Docks: Pretty self explantory it borders the Naval Base on side, Slums on the opposite, and the Trade quarter in the middle.

Commoner's Quarter: Where those who aren't rich enough or poor enough dwell here.

You decide to visit your childhood friend and for your trouble got questioned by a passing Marine Squad who thought you were suspicious and wondered why you weren't in school.

You had to talk your way of that and the free escort back home. After that you found the Rich Quarter was being closely monitored a lot more then usual so had to take the hard way.

Alas that was when you slipped while climbing into the Manor's Garden...and planted face first. When you unstuck your face you found yourself staring at a pair of very unfamiliar boots.

Those boots clearly weren't guard, navy, or marine boots. When you looked up there was a few certain pirates staring down at you.

...Crap.

"What the hell who is dis kid?"

"Wait a second I think i know him from somewhere..."

Double crap.

Sure enough you got pulled up and looked a certain familiar pirate in the eye.

"Hey THIS is the kid who stole our devil fruit!"

Triple crap.

That was when you heard a familiar unknown voice shout out.

"Put him down NOW he is a friend!"

Amazingly enough the pirate put you down and looking up at the balcony is your childhood who promptly slides down and slips off her skirts revealing a pair of pants.

"Ah look girl we can't suggest that you be-"

"Look your staying here and can't come because your still being watched. I'll be back shortly."

"Erhm...fine."

With that your friend bound over and grabbed you by the hand before pulling you inside and set some stuff out for tea.

Despite being a tomboy you will never figure out her fascination with tea time. On the plus side she did teach you the noble decorum but still.

"So...about the pirates?"

"Turned out that somehow the Sea Witch knew my Mother so they planned to stop by...then well the thing with the devil fruit happened. So they fled or should have. Turned out they weren't meant for a distraction as they could of gotten away anyway. Rather apparently my Mother had the Sea Witch make a promise that should anything happen to my parents she would watch out for me until I came of age. SO now I got a few pirates staying here including a devil fruit user who is suppose to help me out..." That is when she starts pouting cutely. Then a pair of strange nubs stick out of head and which caused you to spill the tea. Which she worked on cleaning up...and then an odd tail came around from behind her and filled your cup up again.

Naturally you sorta balked.

"WUwahahahwhah?"

"Oh this?" she wags the tail in front of your face. "Side effect of the devil fruit! Sure tasted terrible but my god you wont BELIEVE how useful a tail is!"

...yeah that doesn't explain the nobs on her head. So you pointed them out which once she realizes she panics cutely.

"SHOOT I hate it when those come out! They come out whenever i get agitated or angry..."

Well in that case your gonna be seeing an awful lot of those in your future.

"So what did you come by for anyhow?"

Well...shoot finding those pirates here sorta ruined that one idea.

Considering you are both free early on you comment on bothering Sonja for some scary stories as Sonja always had the best scary stories. She figures it a good idea and after getting a hat and hiding away her tail you both set off.

Sonja could normally be found at the docks as a fishman Sonja is a big mofo according to sailors even Fishman standards he is big. For some reason though Sonja went blind but never says how but wears a bandanna on his head/eyes covering them up. Sonja normally works as a salvager late at night he'll go under the waves and bring stuff up and likes to sleep during the day.

You personally think this is because the stuff he gets or sells may not entirely be legal, but you were fine with it ever since Sonja gave you some 'treasures' including a pistol and a sword. Sonja always claimed a man should be armed and would occasionally give you other presents.

Kids love Sonja at least the older ones do and that is assuming you can get past how big and scary he along with his stories are.

So you headed over and sure enough there was Sonja awake on a chair drinking in the shade. Apparently a few other older kids also had similar idea and wait quietly for Sonja to get started.

Eventually Sonja starts telling the Story of how the greatest pirate who ever lived traveled the Undersea!

That one is a classic which none of the adults belief scoffing with how could a sea exist underwater that is already a sea? Sonja however swears it does exist and even claims to know how to get there all thanks to a certain crazy ass pirate who made the trip.

Sonja is probably telling this story has its one of his fewer less terrifying(some of Sonja's stories even makes a hardened marine quake in his boots) stories under his belt. So you try to get comfortable as this is one of your favorites!

Sadly you never have gotten Sonja to tell you the entrance to the Undersea as he always says your still too young and far too weak to survive down there.
>>
Rolled 52 (1d100)

>>39540499
So the story starts with how the pirate and his legendary crew run into a wicked storm with icebergs then suddenly a whirlpool appears. This threat was too much for even the legendary crew or was it!

So Sonja carries on how Marines chased bravely chased after the pirates despite it being suicidal. Sonja for some reason puts an unusual amount of strained detail on this part until you notice that the number of marines around probably 'encouraged' him to embellish.

So the marines chased after and they were doing battle despite the insanity! However the party had only just begun as soon bounty hunters, other pirates, and even sea monsters appeared all of whom who after the Legendary Pirate and crew!

The battle was fierce and it was too much for even them when suddenly the Captain ordered his crew to charge directly into the whirlpool!

Everyone thought him utterly insane but despite this his navigator followed orders and their enemies peeled away not wanting to die along with them...so they went over and got dragged under.

They were assumed for dead...but alas it turned out they did not! As at the bottom in the deep terrible darkness and as the light of the surface slowly disappeared they did not perish. For they were too strong.

Thanks to the aid of his great crew the pirates were not crushed or drowned and when they got their lights working...they saw such a sight that even these most legendary figures trembled to such a degree they entirely froze up in fear!

They desperately wanted to get back to the surface but their captain said nay. After all they had treasure to acquire and sea to explore!

And besides pointed out the most legendary pirate who ever lived do you know how to get back safely without floating up as a corpse?

So they followed their captain in this undersea. Fighting such horrors that would make hell rage in a fit of jealousy and fear! Where they find ancient treasures and even older ruins!
>>
Rolled 41 (1d100)

>>39540600
Where they found strange peoples and even stranger cultures. Where they fought with such monsters and terrible foes that the light of the surface was their anathema. Where elder evils slumbered, and supposedly even the entry to hell existed. In fields of steam, great underworld mountains, and trenches that led to the heart of the very world they explored. Where they found no beast as no mere beast could ever suvive in the undersea oh no only monsters could and they replaced the beasts and animal. Alas so too were the monsters replaced with something even more wicked! Eventually hour heroes grew tired of the sights and their hold was so full of treasure they were throwing it away! Knowing this was too much they eventually found a way to the surface by invading hell itself and stealing one of their plans! After that and they could not make sense of it they awoke a being who could and found a guide in a monster of which they tamed. Finally the story ended with the legendary pirate with crew escaping to the surface and saying goodbye to new friends.

So the story ended with Sonja cleverly hiding the entry and exit method of the undersea as usual. Most would claim it was because such a thing didn't exist but you always wondered...

With the story ending you hadn't realized how much time had past you were so absorbed in the scenes of the story and how the crowd around Sonja had grew. After the story ended as usual Sonja took a break to eat, drink, and occasionally take a nap before starting yet again.

However you weren't the only one who appeared especially interested in this 'undersea' except the part of the hell also lit up your friend's face...and a certain redskinned figure who you realized considering his Captain's garb was the legendary Demon of the World. Who showed up sometime and listened with special intensity with certain parts.

According to the rumors Demon had eaten a legendary Demon Demon Devil Fruit and was real hard to control terror.

You decide to go see the Demon up close and sure enough he is one scary bastard with is red skin and horns reaching out of his forehead. His eyes meanwhile glowed with a baleful light and his air pitch black yet oily with additional horns sprouting and sweeping them back. His hands and feet meanwhile clawed that pierced through his boots and his gloves were modified to allow them space. He meanwhile smelled heavily of brimstone and you could see he had goatlike legs that were also black furred and oily.

As you got closer you could see his expression on his face when seemed to be harsh and raw like molten rock with teeth that gleamed like razors. His entire jaw as he spoke revealed his toothy maw of sharp fangs along with a forked tongue.

...shit they really weren't kidding about Demon being a well...demon. Supposedly he earned that name with his acts before joining the navy where he was 'redeemed' and the hell he unleashed upon pirates.

As you got closer you noticed he had a few odd marines hanging around him who took noticed upon your approach that was when one spoke.

"Woah kiddies if you want to join up then go to the Marine base we ain't taking anybody and no he doesn't do autographs."

"I don't know about that," growled the Demon as he approached from behind making the poor Marine leap up in the air while the others laughed. Strangely though the Demon didn't appear to be looking at you...but rather the girl who was with you.

"...hm I get an odd feeling about you kid."

"And I feel the same way I thought you were supposed to be scary," she answers right back without hesitation or fear and much to the shock of nearby Marines who had are trying to get yourself killed expression.

"PUWAHAHAH you got guts girl," chuckles Captain Demon darkly. "So let me guess you just came to see if the rumors were true or an autograph?"

"The first was a disappointment and apparently you don't do autographs."

"Hm fair enough so that leaves you wishing to ask something then don't it?"

"Well yeah obviously."

"Which is?"

"Why aren't you a pirate? I mean you really have the whole thing going for you," She asked seemingly innocent.

There was nothing but stunned silence as you noticed the other Marines were staring to put some distance in away form those two. You think you should follow. Especially considering the look on the Demon's face with this now apparent taboo topic. It looked like he was about to explode as you could see hellish flames start to flicker on his body and him clenching his fists...when suddenly he just let it all go.

"Bah normally I would...but for some reason," you could hear him mutter under his breath before sighing and answering. "I was a pirate and bandit before I got redeemed by thy Lady's Justice. I was a lost soul with no purpose...but Justice it gave me that purpose I so earned for. To this day I happily serve the lady who showed me the light from my the darkness i was trapped in for so long and the Justice that gives me purpose," rumbled the Demon in reply.

"As for Privateers...individual nations and kingdoms do privateers. To be a privateer with the World Government however you'll have to prove yourself first unlike with the others they are picky, began the demon before bending down towards you "and here is a little secret. Contrary to popular belief we don't actually take in Privateers from other kingdoms or nations. Rather they have to pure pirate for a time to prove themselves just as the rest. Privateers time doesn't count with us."

With that he gives you a shit eating toothy grin before putting his finger before his loops in a hush/keep it a secret.

"Privateers of nations and kingdoms as you know are given refuge from them so long as you target their enemies and other pirates. They wont be happy if you hit friends, neutrals, their own, and world government."

"Sadly this don't mean those so called friends, neutrals, or world government wont go after you."

"World Privateers meanwhile officially are only suppose to go after other pirates and shy away from attacking members. This doesn't always work out that way and hitting non members is a bit of a grey area."

"Might work differently for kingdom or other nations though so I can't say with them. As I understand it there is a base nearby that you go to for enlistment."

After that you both leave to the clubhouse. It takes a little while to get there and unsurprisingly due to school being cancelled many of them are there. So that when were ready we can set sail.

But having a ship is only half the equation, we need to find someone who can teach us to sail it and how to fight it.

And maybe someone to train our friend in her devil fruit powers too.

Do you get what we're trying to do? Of course we're not leaving today, that'd be silly.

I was wondering about the specifics for teacher wise and you can always enlist with another group who will be able to support you.

Going solo is tougher start where joining up with others they can show you the ropes so to speak. Not to mention its gonna be REALLY hard to find a devil fruit teacher for her.

Not to mention there is a certain letter for you and how do you wish to train?

You currently live with your sister who is a trader and you have an older brother whom you rarely see as well as two younger siblings.
>>
>>39552527
Hmm, this is tricky.

Was so much easier in the manga where Luffy had his grandpa and could just train with monkeys and set sail in a rowboat.
>>
Rolled 69 (1d100)

>>39552618
Its because you want a fucking crew to start.

Trainers are gonna be tough especially if you want to stay in one place. It will take digging around and investigating possibly even leaving the island.

Training however could be easy as going deep in the wild trying to survive or causing trouble in the slums. Basically it would depend on the ideas you come up with.

Seriously though wanting an entire crew to start without doing anything else makes things harder and trickier.
>>
Rolled 53 (1d100)

>>39539801
Training Might for instance will require stuff like fighting and getting stronger at throwing melee blows.

Training toughness would be stuff like taking a beating or survivalist training to increase.

Agility would take stuff like shooting, gymnastics or shit.

Smarts would take stuff like studying and reading books.

Charisma is the hardest one to increase but you know your sister is awfully charismatic she manages by being a merchant.

Special training for stuff like martial arts or powers will take something more though to increase much less acquire ranks in it in the first place.
>>
>>39552642
Well, our "crew" if you want to call it taht are just. . .kids.

In that case things will change.

IF you really wanted to you could easily take a raft to sea or 'acquire' some other boat right now.

Or you could wait and commence your own training/preporation.

Or you could try to find a teacher or enlist with a group for a time.

So let me put it this way.

>Prepare
>Find a teacher
>Enlist with Navy
>Enlist with Pirates
>Other?

How about that?
>>
>>39552755
>IF you really wanted to you could easily take a raft to sea or 'acquire' some other boat right now.
Well, I was more thinking itd be like over many years as we trained we'd find ship parts, bit by bit, as someone taught us how to maintain and even sail a ship inside out.

So that at the end of a long years we'd have a fully built and seaworthy vessel, built from the ground up through our hard work, just like our training. And we could set out on our own.

Though, if we join the Navy or Pirates that likely will change as they'll put us where they want to be.
>>
>>39552755

>Read the letter

Your older siblings never talked about who your parents are and you got raised by them...well mostly your sister the trader who settled down here for some reason. Your brother was gone but often sent cash and other gifts back home.

According to your sister he is a bounty hunter. The letter was to reveal who your parents were.

When you opened it you that that if firstly contained a key and the location of a chest. The letter when read revealed that your mother was a Marine who fell in love with a pirate.

Naturally their relationship was frowned upon and so it was kept secret. Initially you were suppose to be raised by your grandparents but your siblings when old enough left and stole away their younger siblings.

You only hazily remember something like that going on. After that they sorta traveled around until they got caught but not by their mother.

Instead it was their father for whom their grandparents had nothing good to say. Hilariously he escorted them to safety before fleeing the wrath of the navy.

From that they found a place to lay low as big sis was tired of staying the move and using her skills along with a gift bought a shop to chill at while raising the younger siblings. Older brother meanwhile kept on doing his thing.

The letter contained coordinates that when you followed them was...underwater. When you dived down you could see a chest was chained down there...and when you unlocked the chain with the key it floated to the surface.

Inside the chest on the beach when you opened it carried a series of documents. Including your LEGIT records that had to be hidden away due to your origins. Lot of coin, and most interesting a puzzle box.

When the puzzle box was solved and opened it revealed a-

What you saw...was a book but no ordinary book as you took a closer look and gasped in shock.

It was one of the legendary books of Body. A tome that when read imbues the body and offers a great boon.

However when you took a look you realized that the book...was seemingly cut in half and had its spine/casing replaced. When you took a closer look a letter fell out and you relized the book was...made from two.

When you picked up and read the letter you saw an inscription.

"Contrary to popular belief the manuals of mind and books of body are actually just knock offs."

Wait knock offs?

"In truth we too thought we had originals...but alas one day we found the REAL thing. Or to be more precise a part of the real thing. This the knock offs could not compare as it was an Original. Not a mere copy at best or knock off at worst. For you see when copied instead of reading it some was lost and its copy if used turned blank...unless it was copied but again. However each time weakened the effect but at the cost of being reusable."

"This book is NOT a copy. Its the original...of which a half we each only found and when we put it together the truth was revealed. As we each only had half of the whole sadly we were not yet able to find a sacred scroll of spirit which would of finished rounding it out."

"Signed Father and Mother"

P.S. The Sacred Scroll of Spirit(original) is what will actually make it complete. However long ago it was torn apart because the owner did not want it to vanish upon use. Alas the three pieces were lost and so too was its true power. Upon this writing neither of us have yet to get a clue on the original but did find rumor of copies and some knock offs.

PPS your siblings also have similar treasures awaiting them when they get old off.

...well shit so not ONLY are these Originals but the other legendary items are actually knock offs?

Book of Body(when consumed will maximize your stats to 10)
Mind Manual(when consumed will grant additional skill(slots and mental abilities

Synergy Bonus(if both are consumed Limiters will be removed)

Affect of Scroll?????

Synergy Effects of scroll?????

Synergy Body Spirit ??????
Synergy Mind Spirit ??????

Completition Synergy bonus?????

Completion bonus if read all at once?????

I'd be fine with us being an expert sniper with our own style of shooting, as we chose to be a gunner as our class.

So yeah, like Zoro, except with guns. Or Usopp.

I had this idea of us dual wielding semi-auto sniper rifles in the hand and firing from the hip, yet being as accurate with each shot as though we had carefully aimed it.

The end effect is us pointing death and anything and everything we lay our eyes on (or even stuff too far too see!)

You decide to go home and bother your sister. Technically your place is in the trader quarter your living quarters on top of the selling floor and the basement is used for storage. You made it there eventually but your sister gives you a withering stare when she noticed you were soaking wet with sea water that you dripped all over her floors.

The shop never really changed much from what you could tell. Sister always had a way with words, with a pretty face, and body to match. You never quite got what was with the deal of her trade you learned a bit from her but she refused to share the dirty details of her biz unless you properly went under her.

Even brother said she was good and the other traders dread going up against. You even heard curses from both pirates and ship captains about her.

Funny thing is you wouldn't think she was a scary person but the rumors and stories beg to differ. You however ignored her glare as he stomped forward and dropped the chest with letter along with papers on the counter.

"So...about our parents?"

That was when she sighed loudly before getting up and going to the front of the store putting out the closed sign.

"It was considered too dangerous to have their names both written down. However the documents, papers, investigation, and knowing their identities will allow one to confirm it all."

"Our father is Zarkof Gallivante better known as the Pirate Prince of Al'Seya."

AKA one of the top pirates in the world. Unlike many other legends such as the Warlords of the 4 Corners and Lined Lords or Ladies. He is notorious for not sticking to any particular stretch of the Ocean. Mostly due to him somehow pissing off the ever living daylights out of one the Top World Navy powers who never stops hunting him.

It was so bad and those two so notorious it was often compared to grudge match between Best Pirate who ever lived and his chaser. It is also the reason why he isn't able to stick to any particular stretch of water for long.

So he wandered through waters of all kinds usually one step ahead of his arch nemesis and at least two steps ahead of everyone else. They clashed more than a few times though.

"And hour Mother is Sandra Jucsa better known as the Lady Justice as in Vice Admiral of the United World Navy."

"...huh? But...but that I there is no fucking way."

Everyone knows those two hate each other.

"Hate sex is a thing," your sister answers in a deadpan voice without missing a beat.

Oh goddamn it.

"What isn't commonly known is those two actually go way back, but they separated as they had different dreams that later clashed...repeatedly."

"Still doesn't explain us."

So she brought out your papers and started arranging them before going into a backroom...and bringing out two other chests with papers. That was when she assorted them out and provided all the damning evidence.

"The truth of the matter is a old story as when they departed it was on very bad terms. They were old childhood friends father of nobles and mother of bounty hunters. One day however they were both at port at the same place and time...then got overly drunk. Woke up the next morning in bed with each other."

"So began the legendary start of their 'known' grudge match...didn't exactly help it turned out she was knocked up due to that night."

Sweet mother no wonder the grudge match was so heated from day one...

"With twins no less."

...wow you thought those stories with Father were damn impressive before hand but now goddamn.

"So that is how things 'actually' got started in the public eye. Mother however never shared who the father was and handed the children off to someone else later on. Their grudge match actually started when they were kids. It just sorta got insane 'after' that incident."

"So what about me and the younger siblings?"

"Like I said hate sex is a thing and tended to happen...which just really made things worse as well as more intense."
>>
Rolled 51 (1d100)

>>39567814
"...They they loved each other didn't they?"

"Yes and they both hated that fact."

"So...all of this stuff as well as other stuff made the mother of all grudge matches then huh?"

"Yup. I HIGHLY suggest not following in their footsteps little brother."

Fuck no kidding you honestly have no idea how your old man did it much less stayed alive and free for so long.

"Another reason why she was chasing him was for child support by the way."

...alright you got to hand it to the old man he is a fucking AMAZING at what he does. I mean holy shit if he ever actually bothered using that energy and effort at being the greatest pirate instead of just staying alive...much less free.

Like goddamn. He could even give the greatest pirates to ever exist a run for their money.

"So there you go brother...and the evidence is all right here," your sister finishes while tapping the piles of papers. "Obviously no one else knows about this and why it was kept secret for so long."

"Sis, do you know of any trainers for fire arms in town or around here? Then I need to see about training for trade. I have a wish to explore the sea for the piece missing from the gift given to me."

The reason I ask about trade is from money gain and for selling loot. Our crew will have the best beer and food we find!

Before I forget, we locked talker, but wanted to train into guns later on.

I was thinking stat wise it would be a bad move to cross class into shooter, but then we got a great gift to help.

It's just with talker we can get a really nice crew and keep them together. So are you cool with talker main and shooter as back up? That way we can have a really strong crew, supplies and good money. Then we can learn more fighting skills later.

>>39568878
That depends on what is open to us and stats. I feel pirates will let us get to the scroll faster, but navy will get us a better trained pool to work from.

We can serve our time in the Marines and then maybe convince them to let us become Privateers and go search for the scroll

True, but will be get to stick with our crew? Likely we will not be able to stick with them and probably loose contact, which could throw a wench into the works later.

... granted this is adventurer and they are our friends. So I guess we will see how it goes. Probably not going to get our lady friend to join us if we do mix with the Navy. Seeing that the Sea Witch is talking her under her wing. Then it's going to end up like our parents, o god!

>>39569266
Same. It's just focusing our starting growth is the question.

If we pick guns as the focus we miss our on the talker build up and have to work to gain the right stats for range combat. I was thinking we focus talker and get some light combat skill in range for fights we can't talk out of.

--------

True.
>>
>>39569446
>True, but will be get to stick with our crew?
We'll try and use our tongue for that, and see what we can do.

Alternatively, we can make a promise to meet up at some other time.

>If we pick guns as the focus we miss our on the talker build up and have to work to gain the right stats for range combat
Which is why we're gonna get a trainer.

Still, the way I see it we'll use our voice for shouting out orders as a captain and being able to shoot from a distance while the rest of our crew chop em to pieces up front.

Hopefully we get so good we can shoot a bullet between our crew and the enemy crew fighting in melee.
>>
>>39569525
It's true that the trainer will help. Thing is the way I see it we picked a class, placed the stats for it and then said hey lets go be another class with the stat for a something else.

Unless I'm getting mixed signals. I believe that is what's happening. (Granted I basing this off of the want for sniper Zoro. It's never easy to tell who I'm talking to, I'm assuming you are that person.)

I voted for range training to have some combat as a just in case. The trader training is the real focus for me.
>>
>>39569702
The sniper thing is only meant to be our class concerning combat basis. Outside of combat we're a really good trader.

Unless we get a devil fruit for a siren voice or some other thing, I doubt talking and high charisma are exactly combat skills (though they help).

We can be a trader, and we can have a combat specialty at the same time. Range works because it has less requirements than melee. Especially for a captain who stays behind the front.

Basically, our focus outside of combat will be a trainer, while our skills in combat are for ranged. Think like how the strawhats have similar thing, Franky's focus in combat is that awesome Cyborg body, while outside he's a ship builder. Chopper's focus in combat is the large Deer form, while outside he's a doctor. Sanji's focus is kicking, but on the ship he's a chef.

Our focus in combat will be ranged, but outside we'll be a captain and something of a trader

"Hm...fine. Follow me brother there is something you will need to see and understand."

With this she led you in back and downstairs before pulling a hidden brick which opened up into a passage. This she followed along for a bit...and you tried to figure out then the smell hit you.

>Pirate Cove

Except she stopped and pulled another lever revealing a storefront...that was located hidden away somewhere between the hidden cove and the slums.

She stepped out and peering out you could see a number of pirates with bounties on their heads(some rather large) that she than took orders from before the exchange of goods and treasure was done...except she didn't just take currency.

She bartered with them with bits of sunken treasure and other captured goods they had to offer. Meanwhile she made you sit in the corner and watch.

Eventually once the bargaining was struck she slammed the counter and said.

"Bring em out."

So the pirates and bandits moved out of the way...as new pirates came forward escorting their 'fellows' in chains. With this she took a look at them and ruffled through a pile of bounty notices. Comparing them and making sure.

If she confirmed the identity they were transferred to her care where she brought out her own chains...which were all of seastone studded special metals.

After this was done she went back into a side room and dragged out large piles of coins she than handed to the pirates who 'turned in' their fellows. Once this was done they all sat down at the counter and drinks/snacks were handed out as chatting, gaming, and exchanges were done.

Eventually she seemed got up and they waved goodbye as she grabbed you and her 'cargo' before leaving in the maze of passages.

This new passageway however she took was different and came out of a hidden cranny in the docks where she than escorted the prisoners to somewhere.

Well then
>>
Rolled 34 (1d100)

That somewhere is as it turned out to be the Marine base...in particular the office in charge of bounties. There apparently the guy knew her quite well and they chatted as identities were confirmed before marines came in to take them away. The guy you noticed mentioned on how her brother was awfully busy and how he really wished the navy also had such high grade chains that allowed her someone like her to safely turn in such criminals. Which she laughed off saying that he was indeed busy as usual and why she had to do the turning in at times. As for the chains she mentioned they were a custom ordered but worth every penny. After that bit they kept chatting as you were both escorted to an office.

Once there she pulled out some packages that she opened up revealing packages of drinks and yet more fine food. Later marines came in to drop off yet more drink and food as eventually a number of fellows came in to visit with her.

All the while enjoying the delicious drink and fine foods offered by both parties. Eventually the marines showed up again this time with a wheelbarrow full with bags of money and the chains she brought. After that she thanked them and had them sit down for a break.

Which they felt confused about until their higher ups agreed and later you were joined by the guy who manned the desk who brought out forms to fill.

Which she did while he enjoyed himself too and they all chatted. Visiting with one another all the while. Once she was done and after you lost your sense of time from sheer shock of it all. She got up to leave and dragged you along with the barrels of money along.

All the while to end up stopping at a bank in the rich quarter where you were relieved of the wheelbarrows which would be returned and the chains would be later delivered at the store again. Yet again however you found yourself waiting in an office where she dealt handed some packages to the banker before drinks and food was brought out again as they visited.
>>
Rolled 84 (1d100)

>>39570765
Eventually others too came in mostly some rich sorts and nobles. There she enjoyed herself until the papers came in and the money was dealt with. Even while filling them out she chatted away and enjoyed herself waiting a bit once she was finished before leaving once again.

This time to the merchant house with the notes and signed papers in hand. Where something similar was done between the business at hand, chatting, visiting, and enjoying as usual. By this time you got the hand of things...sorta.

Mostly you sat back and watched in utter amazement as your thoughts no humble dream of your sister being a lowly skilled trader with a humble store being wrecked beyond repair and all hope.

Eventually she got done with that and did not take you back to the store...instead she stopped by the dock where she boarded a massive fanciful vessel where she greeted a nobleman whom she flirted with. This fact actually manage to shake you from your daze and shock to pay a bit more attention then usual.

This time however the visiting and chatting was done on the deck of the ship. Where furniture was set out to enjoy the lovely breeze and sunset. This time she visited, drank, and ate with yet more nobles as well as people not of this kingdom. All the while she sat beside the noble whom she flirted petting him with you on the other side.

Eventually sometime after sunset was finished and you being utterly exhausted you both left. This time however the noble insisted that you be escorted back to your quarters underguard or stay aboard with him...the invitation of what he was after was obvious. Your sister however handled it very well and laughed it off but agreed to the escort.

So you were escorted back to the store by his guards and the two of them acting like love struck idiots. Goddamn you could of sworn she had no interest in that sorta thing...or maybe girls that one time when your brother was here and they talked about hot chicks. Made you wonder if she a lesbian.
>>
Rolled 26 (1d100)

>>39571004
Eventually once you got back to the store and after an 'innocent' peck on the cheek from your sister that gave the apparent noble a spring his in step you both entered the shop.

After they were gone you couldn't stand it any longer especially as she abruptly changed.

"Who are you and WHAT have you done with my sister!"

"And that is how you are suppose to do things. Wait what?"

"You...you can't possibly be my sister and what was with that with the nobleman earlier?"

"I AM your sister you dolt and that is simple business."

Simple my ass.

"As for the noble...think future fiance and your soon to be brother in law."

What?

"I thought you liked chicks!"

"No that is your older brother quite the womanizer that one. Spends way too much goddamn money on them the bloody idiot. I actually had to start helping him get laid for the sake of saving money."

"Oh so you aren't a lesbian..."

"...Well not ENTIRELY."

"...Sister."

"Yes brother?"

"What the hell is GOING ON!"

"No cursing you brat," growled your sister as she smacked you on the head. "As I was saying that was merely business. As you decided to learn from me I showed you what most of what I did is like."

"What about the guy if you like girls why him then and what the hell do you mean about future fiance as well as brother in law? What about Mary I thought you two were going out!"

"What my younger siblings baby sitter are you kidding me?"

"Then what about that one time when I saw the both of you kissing and groping heavily..."

"Oh that little tease? Excellent for getting things you want."

"I thought that only works on guys?"

"Only if your not good enough," she responds bluntly.

"As for the guy?"

"What is there to say?"

"I never even KNEW he existed! And was this what you during with our baby sisters!"

"Well...sometimes and not all of it. As for the guy our sisters know him."

"But not me why?"

"Because you would ruin it just like older brother?"

"Wuh so wait HE doesn't know either?"

"Of course not boys get stupid when it comes to who their female family are seeing."

"I-I can't BELIEVE this! Or YOU for that matter."

"Look brother that is all business."

"Even the guy?"

"Especially him."

"So you don't even love him?"

"Love is trouble and I like him which is good enough."

"So...so did you-"

"Oh heavens no that is for the wedding night."

"Yet you gave it to women," you grumbled only to have your sister pull you up by your ear and whisper in it loudly.

"I heard that twerp." So she dragged you up to bed right passed Mary and your younger siblings.

Now in bed you found yourself dazed over the events of today and utterly stunned as you dozed off the sounds of giggling as well as moaning.
>>
Rolled 37 (1d100)

>>39571659
The next day when you awoke you dragged yourself from bed and washed your face before following the smells of breakfast.

Sitting down you could see your two younger siblings already there as well as your sister busy in the kitchen before setting out breakfast. A mixture of bacon, french toast, and a fruit smoothie.

While eating your sister mentions that school is cancelled till next week of which your sisters cheered as they knew they would be in the hands of Mary. You used to like Mary until you found out what she and your sister been up to. However you didn't like the break as it would mean you would be stuck with your sister...whom you stated you wanted to learn from.

You may regret that decision and you did as Mary eventually came for your younger siblings but you stayed with your sister. Your sister however took you elsewhere. This time she went to certain merchants and warehouses. There she haggled and made sure to check the goods. When she was done she made you help move it and later man the store while she messed with the books.

When you weren't manning the store and where previously you could escape once this was done as well as chores. Instead she used those former breaks to beat numbers in your head, how to be more charming, checking of goods, and also her books.

Now when you manned the stores if it weren't busy and if the chores were finished she showed you the books. Taught you book keeping and other stuff. Sometimes she would take you out and force you to haggle with traders for stuff to eat.

This you were familiar with...however your sister soon proved to be dissapointed in your skills. She also made you work your coercion, intimidating, dressing, chatting, and even forced you to flirt.

So the week you were free whiled away under the harshness of your sister. You are pretty sure she is still pissed about the whole comments earlier. In back in the hidden area thought...instead of grey or white stuff she taught you black and grey.
>>
Rolled 92 (1d100)

>>39571947
She taught you how to 'cook' the books, mess with numbers, how to smuggle, about black market goods, and even how to handle nasty customers.

It used to be she showed you very little and there were parts of her life she avoided showing you all together.

Now however that was not true. Where before she shied away from flirting in front you...now she did so openly. Making sure you watched and learned. She now showed you all the tricks and skills cramming them in that week as well as forcing you to test them out.

You thought that was bad...but it when when school started is when it all got so much worse. Now while she laid off the harsh treatment and training...instead she required full blown trying tests she put through.

As in now you were outright expected to help out the family business instead of 'just chores' you were previously dealing with.

Her favorite of which was making you man her black market stall. Down there you had to stare down the nastiest of criminals sorts and expected to make the good deal.

Strangely they never harmed you though a few got close but they were persuaded by their fellows due to 'you know who is sister is? Much less their brother?' was the preferred method of choice and it worked everytime.

Down there you found out the why. As one pirate put it so succinctly.

"A bounty hunter who is after the cash on your head is bad enough but when you make it personal as well..."

Sadly though more often than not your sister was very disappointed in your failures and few successes. She got very inventive in her punishments which were all desired to either teach or torment often both.

It got so bad that word soon spread of her 'apprentice' in certain circles. In the higher cultures this was marveled with respect and wanting. In the lower it was a mixture of pity and loathing.

Your sister was a harsh taskmistress but damn it if you didn't get good. Hell there you were times you WISHED failure was death...but well that was the kicker.
>>
Rolled 62 (1d100)

>>39572217
"As your sister pointed out there were fates worse then death. As you got better though she got kinder and she made sure you knew how to exploit your cheeky kid nature to measures you never thought possible.

You later found out this was because she herself had to rely upon such things for survival awhile back and when your younger siblings found out you knew about 'the guy' they were excited. It also started to explain where all those 'gifts' and clothes started coming from. Eventually you yourself started getting some sent over which made your sister ridiculously happy.

That time she started showing you about how to handle yourself in different cultures and social circles in detail. As well as the trick for charisma and trade. Sadly she did admit she was lacking with manipulating charisma for leadership instead of greed.

That was when you found out that she was focusing her training on a few important aspects. Those were the following.

1 don't be a sucker
2 keeping cool
3 social butterfly

She would focus more along the lines of maximizing profits and screwing over others but she knew you may not want to follow her path in life. So instead she did the best she could with what would serve you best in the future.

You will admit she was a bit of a bitch sister but a loving one who wanted only what was best for you.

Walk her home or carry if she can't.

Unless we don't need to, I assume she is still passed out.

You decide to find a teacher knowing that your sister pointed out how her charisma was more focused to greed then leadership and how you need to learn to defend yourself.

Also there is that scroll that you need to find...the final part of three. Figured you could look into that too while your on it.

So you set out and started to ask around.

"Hm leadership kid heh you think you about to get something like that on your first try? You have to be kidding me. That is something that you have to work up from the bottom most likely."

Damn no matter how you ask around its all the same. Nobody is gonna take in someone like yourself for leadership training right off the bet. The exception being interestingly enough if you manage to find a small enough crew. It would be easier to pick things up as you would have less distance to travel.

That rather limited your options though...

For teachers on defense though you had better luck. Apparently there were a few institutes who taught classes for that sorta thing but the apprenticeship type stuff would be much tougher. In that regard you heard some interesting stories that carried actual leads.

>Fishman Oru
who specialized in fighting in and out of water
>Bandit Baru
a practiced combatant whose stomping grounds are nearby. He is good enough that he took out a number of bounty hunters who went for his head.
>Mariner Demon
The Demon is still around and is said to be a fearsome combatant
>Pirate? Jorge
Some whispers in the slums of an interesting fellow who showed up recently serving as a 'bodyguard' of all things to a weird woman.
>Wanderer Gorm
A weird fellow showed up with two apprentices recently. Little is known but his kids are some strong mofos nothing else is known though.
>Ivan
A crazy gunner who was suggested by your sister. Apparently he has ran up quite the tab and debts but is an astoundingly skilled shot. Both pirates and navy have all tried to recruit him but failed.
>>
Rolled 19 (1d100)

>>39574889
>Hunter Renarde
A skilled shot and hunter who has a hunting lodge on this island. He is a noble though and getting his teachings will likely be tough if not impossible.

Besides that you heard some interesting whispers of the Sacred Scroll of Spirits. Apparenlty there was a chain of robberies and heists on the Island related to them.

A priceless Sacred Scroll of Spirit was in the hands of a merchant was taken, a museum was robbed with a one they had in their archives, AND yet another was stolen from a sacred school whose practitioners are more then a little pissed as according to them it was an 'original' which they were suppose to protect.

What do?

Man, I can tell whether I wanna visit Ivan or Renard. One sounds like an amazing shot, the other as a noble might actually have some other skills or at least we'd learn how to be a gentleman, which is both useful and nice for our character to have.

I vote we visit both and see what they're like.

Ivan you find sloshed in a bar who makes it abundantly clear that he isn't taking apprentices and lessons would cost a great sum of money.

Afterwards you forgot you exist and just kept on drinking. You are not entirely sure why your sister suggested him.

After that you found Hunter Renarde at his lodge preparing for his next hunt. Luckily you were able to talk past his doorman and guards to see him personally. So there he was preparing his gear that were all spread out and cleaning his guns one last time all the while humming a merry tune.

Until he noticed you were there and asked what the hell you were doing here. You said you were interested in learning to shoot. While impressed though he didn't seem interested in teaching you. Saying that he had a hunting trip to plan for before kicking you out.

After that you looked into scroll...and found a lead. A good lead too as all your the others was just hearsay or led to a deadend. Not this one though...and honestly it was something you stumbled upon by accident.

All thanks to your job in the hidden stall your sister owned where you ran into a customer who cursed about 'stupid spirit scrolls' and poor spending ability. He stopped by to pick up some illicit goods...as in drugs. Lots of drugs before he hobbled away cursing about his boss with all the issues.

It took you awhile but you found the guy again...in a tavern in the slums sitting across a woman dressed in furs and golden jewels. Suffice to say everybody was eyeballing the two of them especially considering how out of it she seemed to be.

The small pile of drugs in front of her gave it away though and she had a stave leaning on her chair.

The guy who she was with was dressed in a ragged Mariner Coat and ruffled soldier uniform of some nation. It was clearly he wasn't still with them as he wore a pirate hat and some cheap jewelry as well. The kind of stuff that wasn't worth selling.

When you looked closer you could hear him arguing with her.

"How many times do I have to say it! Knock it off with your damned obsession with the scrolls! Are you TRYING to get us caught and killed? What is with your spending? You still spending cash like your still rich! We only have so much funds and I wont even go into your drug problem."

She merely kinda waves side to side before catching her nodding of head with her arm and rests it on the table while looking at the guy before replying. "That is what I have you for...no?"

"You even sold your ship you crazy woman."

"...don't need it anymore."

Twitch twich. "What do you mean don't need it anymore?"

"Too expensive not enough crew..."

"What do you think I was earning the coin for! To get a proper crew and no it wasn't to fuel your drug habit."

"Drugs...are good. You need to take more make you much more bearable also happy. Besides got new ship...faster and cheaper."

"Not gonna bring up all the coin you wasted on these shitty scrolls?" With that he pulled out a scroll case and poured out a lot of scrolls.

"Worthless..." she murmurs as she rests her head on them on as a pillow. "Correction make surprisingly comfy pillow."

"Worthless? WORTHLESS? Do you have ANY idea how much these things are? ESPECIALLY the one you read?"

"Fakes..."

"no...no that one you read was NOT a bloody fake considering it turned to ash once you finished it!"

"Is fake...all faked got lead though. Soon...soon find scroll and reach enlightenment, also." That was when she pulled out two scrolls which she tossed at him without looking. "shut up and read these."

"But captai-"

That is an order."

You could hear him grunt before pulling out the scrolls.

"Other one first."

Then he corrects himself muttering all the while.

It took awhile but eventually he finished. You knew it as the sheet of scroll he was holding suddenly burnt to ash sending him cursing as it caught him off guard. This distraction however was used by a gang who approached and a most definite manner. They made it abundantly clear they were gonna rob and do other nasty things as they surrounded the table. Mostly around him as they figured the weird woman was rather harmless.

Obviously everyone else cleared the bar and when they mentioned his 'captain' the lady was when you heard a loud crack when suddenly the one talking dropped dead. He didn't even hit the floor when you saw a flicker of hand movement from him which dropped another one as he stood up drawing his sword slitting the throat of one and stabbing the other as he fired another pistol that took out the guy. Dropped the pistol leaped onto the table and knifed another guy before screwing the last one. The survivors tried to run but were dropped in flash with a few knife wounds, a thrown sword, and some bullet holes.

It went down in seconds and you were entirely blown away. Afterwards he collected the scrolls again muttering about the trouble was gonna bring.

Meanwhile the woman seemingly started to wake up yawning saying he did a good job but things would of ended poorly if he hadn't had the drop on him.

Of which he replied technically they had the drop on them.

She answered with a simple "Yeah right" as she got up and said she was going back. She soon left the bar and he only left after looting the bodies before chasing after her in a hurry.

That was when you followed them...to an inn where he dropped her off before washing his weapons clean before going on the way. Following him took you to a arms seller where he haggled a bit before selling his loot and wandered off back to the slums.

So you followed him back...and he started to ask around. When people expected bribes they got a busted knee and if they didn't talk a busted nose.

It took you while but you eventually figured out what he was after when he 'bumped' into a drug dealer who instead of picking a fight dropped in the mud with a puddle of red growing around him. He meanwhile whistled as he went down and checked him out before taking his 'loot' before going after a few more. A more then a few. He also interrupted a few muggings which he than extorted the person he rescued before looting the now dead or soon to be mugger and mugged a few muggers as well as other people.

After that he stopped at a corner and was busy watching a house, before vanishing down an alley way. You watched as he clambered up an over a wall landed on a gangster. Before getting up and closing in another one who went down with barely a gurgle. Where he than threw a knife taking down another. By this time people realized what was going on and left the street.

Sadly the gangsters at the house did not and he went around the house a few times taking down the guard and pulled a guy over who took a smoke break before shimming up a window. After that there was some silence before suddenly a burst of gunfire and screams before silence...then a few more gunshots where he than exited the house cursing with some bags of some kind.

After that he left the block and continued shaking down people, robbing dealers, and finally a few more hits on a few more houses before he went off into the woods.

When you followed him into the woods you eventually found a cave with some light inside. Peering inside you could see him dumping his bags along with a large amount of other bags with a few chests mixed in for good order. After that he spread out some documents and maps that he checked out before nodding as he figured something out. After that he left after grabbing a few bags of who knows what.

After that he went back into the slums and this time people were waiting for him...he gave know fucks as he just walked right into a trap...and then right out the other side like nothing happened. Whistling the entire time when suddenly as series of explosions went off. That was when he went back and dragged two guys out and made them get ready for an execution on the edge of a pier. You could tell one of them was weeping while the other spoke before dropping into the sea once a shot rang out. Shortly after the other followed. That was when he brought out a paper and looked at it before placing it back in his pocket and than reloaded.

He left soon after and hit up a few other places. This time however they didn't see him coming as bases exploded and he left with bags of shit. It wasn't luck before they were running scared...and then some time after backed into a corner.

When they tried to lash out though...he was gone. You followed him than to a apparently nondescript warehouse which he went into...and after a bout of gunfire and strange gases came pouring out. He reappeared dragging a line of coughing and weeping chained figures all the way up to Marine HQ where he turned them in before wandering off once he got his reward.

You honestly thought he called it quits when he went to the in but he did that only to drop something off. This time you followed him to Pirate Cove...there you see him disappear into a smugglers shop. Few gun shots later dragging out a smuggler whom he than pulled crying and begging to a nearby pier.

Rolled 24 (1d100)

There throwing down a pen and paper for the smuggler to write something down on. He moved that stuff away with his boot. The smuggler kept begging and crying as he looked into the waiting water. He sat there for a little bit waiting for death...all the while the guy merely stared at him.

Eventually a bit of a crowd gathered and others took notice when he started waving at them when he shot the smuggler who dropped into the ocean.

They waved back by the way. After that he went through the crowd and repeated the stunt of breaking into a few more shops. At the end he exchanged a large bag of something with a strange fellow...wait a second isn't that your sister?

Before leaving again whistling...this time you followed him through the slums again where he hit up a few rotten shops, warehouses, and hideouts that ended usually with an explosion.

Either after a gunfight or silence as he moved stuff out of them. After that he made his way to a few warehouses in the watefront and trade district. Sometimes it was still silence, other times a gunfire, and the rest ended in an explosion.

Eventually he made his way to the docks where he met your sister...again and here they conversed a bit before she handed him a wheelbarrow. Which he happily took on his merry way whistling all the way to the inn where dropped it off before going back and shuffling stuff to his cave. At the end of which he went back to the nearby coastline where a ship was waiting after checking out the ship and nodding happily to himself he boarded it.

After awhile when you got brave enough to approach you heard rather loud snoring sounds.

...who the fuck IS this guy? And who is hell is the woman?

The scroll is unlikely to be on the island, if our parents never found it. That said, they know what is a fake when they see it and they've had more experience looking for it than we have.

Still, our sister likely knows more about him than we would and trying to trail this guy is getting to hairy.
